This humidifier has a sensor that reads your rooms humidity. the sensor is defective it causes the humdidifer to shut off and stay off with an EE error code on the display. the instruction manual does not describe an ee error code.

yet online searches show other customers complaining that they have the same problem. i think the sensor does not get a reading from a dry room so it shuts off. because if i sit the sensor over the fan it comes back on and works.

but if i lower the sensor cord then overnight it again goes back to ee error code. i did not spill any water on the sensor it was totally untouched and as it came out of the box. also the water resorvoircant be kept full as it continualy drainss into the humdidifer and then leaks out onto the floor.

so that means if the water resorvoir is empty you can not refill it. you must wait for the unit to shut off because it is empty and then refill the resorvoir.

Does the job where a slightly smaller one would not. It has a very big fan and push’s a lot of air. The fan took a few days to properly seat itself but eventually did and quieted down, at first it was slightly off balance and made a slight noise, which eventually quieted down to normal sound and now spins flawlessly.

The sidewalls at first seem flimsy and very thin but after a few days of changing the water and flipping the wick filter, you realize it does the job just fine. The built in hygrometer is on the power cord and sits about 5 inchs from the unit so you will get a reading that is around 10 rh higher than 5 feet away, But this is easily compensated by just adjusting the digital control unit to suit your wanted humidity level.

I have a good and calibrated portable hygrometer to check humidity levels and it shows this unit is pumping alot of water into the room. My kitchen-bedroom and stairs to second floor are all off the room I use this unit and it does spread the humidity out somewhat better than any other unit I have owned.

One wick filter should last a season if used with Essick air, Bacteriostatic liquid and flip the filter once a week. Overall very happy with purchase.

We have had this humidifier for a year now and I must say it works great. We only use it in the cooler months Oct. thru April and it is now on its second season and when first turn it on the humidity in the house is around 25 to 28% and within a day it gets up to 45% which is where we like it.

It uses about one tank of water per day and is real easy to fill under the tap. We set it on automatic and it works harder when the moisture level starts to drop in the house and then it slows right down to maintain our comfort level.

The humidistat on the unit is accurate. We are on a well and use a whole home water softener, I clean the water wick and the water tray on the unit once a month with the recommended cup of vinegar and we’re still using the same wick, however next month I will put in a new wick as the original one is getting kind of shabby looking.

I installed this unit a few days ago in the air handler of my air conditioning system. I have baseboard heating. The air handler was the only option. I piped hot water from the nearby hot water heater to it.

It’s a night and day difference in the whole house humidity. The house is 3300 square feet. It’s now consistently at 45% humidity throughout. It will run for 2 hours and take a break for 1 hour. It turns on every hour for 3 minutes to sample the humidity.

There is one thing that didn’t work as well. I wanted to control it using the Nest Thermostat’s “*” line. It didn’t work. Therefore, I am using the supplied humidistat to control the machine and it works very very well.

I would recommend this unit to anyone who wants a more comfortable house in the winter. However, if you are hell bent on using your Nest to control it, you may run into difficulties.

I replaced a 25-year-old style 760 with this new 700 and it was a perfect fit, even using the same mask/frame to I didn’t need to cut in a new installation. ONE CAVEAT: The flow restrictor in the 760 had a much higher rate (the blue one) and the 700 requires the yellow one.

If it seems there is too much outflow water, check with AprilAire about the proper size restrictor for your unit. It’s a tiny little plastic plug inserted into the outflow tubing from the solenoid and they come in red, blue, and yellow.

The Aprilaire 700M is working very good in our home. I was able to install is myself and I feel was a professional job. I wired the unit with a current sensing relay monitoring the neutral lead of the blower motor.

The humidifier is only active when the blower motor is in operation. I thought this would complecated but it was straight forward. Great product and good instructions.

As another reviewer noted, the image for this product is incorrect. If you search the model number listed here, you’ll find images of a simpler display. Which is fine — it’s all I needed! I would recommend Staples correct the image to avoid future confusion.

This seems to work just fine. The temperature is definitely accurate. It is a little difficult to see at an angle or from a distance, and does not have a way to hang it on a wall (though it’s light enough I may use a command hook backing to jury rig something.

Staples sent it really quickly, and I appreciate the good customer service.

1. This device has a different, less detailed display than shown, so, Staples deceived their customers. 2. The face can be scratched with a dull finger nail, I scratched it thinking the cloudy screen had another cover that needed to be removed.

Totally booby trapped. 3. It uses AAA batteries instead of a coin LED battery, and doesn’t come with them. 4. The price is absurd due to above.

I wanted to know the temperature of one of my bedrooms. It seemed hotter than the rest so I bought this to check. It works great. I know when to leave the ceiling fan on to cool the room. The humidity function is also great.

I have been using the levoit classic 300s smart ultrasonic smart humidifier for a couple of weeks. I really love it. Ni love that you just have to take the top off to fill it. I love that you can set it on auto, low, or high.

There is a night light with 2 settings, a button to black out the humidity percentage it shows, the settings button for actual, low or high, and the power button. All of these are in the front for easy access.

I don’t use the black out button, because I forgot it was on and didn’t turn it off before I left. I just put a small piece off paper over the humidity percentage. The instruction manual was very easy to follow.

I’m very very happy with my humidifier.

It is very dry and cold in the winter where I live and the humidifier is much needed in this house. it holds 6 liters of water which is 1. 58 gallons and that is good. I like that it is top fill, I can just pour water into it and not have to carry it to the sink to fill up.

It has 3 settings low to high, it gives alot of mist. I like the smart features, I can control it from my phone. Oh and it includes these little pads to put essential oils on and insert in the compartment in the back, another awesome feature to think about.

I recently got this humidifier and it has done a great job adding moisture into the room this winter. It is very easy to use and I really like the convenience of using either the app or Alexa to turn it on and off.

The large water storage tank allows this to run for hours and hours without stopping while on the high setting. Like with all humidifiers it needs to be cleaned regularly to avoid any bacteria to grow inside of it.

I highly recommend this for its high quality and ease of use.

I bought this last week to use in an incubator I bought from TSC (it was to be a secondary incubator to use as a 3-days-to-go hatchery for staggered incubations). After losing part of my hatch to shrink-wrapping of the chicks, I questioning the humidity and temperature levels of the incubator.

To the incubator and this thermometer, I added a third digital thermometer/hygrometer. As it turns out, all three were wildly off, either by temperature or humidity level. I realize I neither spend a lot on the incubator or this thermometer/hygrometer, but the experience has left me wondering how awfully expensive it would be for these companies to provide dead-on reliable temperature and humidity sensors, given THAT”S THE WHOLE PURPOSE OF THESE ITEMS.

I mean, do I really need to spend additional money to audit the quality of these products? Can’t they audit their own products and dial in the accuracy? I’d gladly pay more for the better sensors and quality control.

It’s cheaper (and kinder?) than losing chicks. So, go ahead and buy this. It will give you readings. Just don’t trust them blindly.

Seems sort of accurate. At least I verified that humidity was low in house and when I got a humidifier it went up and it showed that on screen with percentage and picture say low. No more static shocks from dry apartment.

Temperature is dead on the monies accurate. Getting the battery cover off was a challenge though. Just too smooth and couldn’t get a grip on it to slide off. But if the batteries last a year, then who really cares.

It is easy to read and magnet seems to hold on door frame. Steel door frame here in Condominium. It can be mounted on a desk top by pulling spring clip backwards. Now to look for meter with a pigtail for outside temperature.

Wireless ain’t an option here in Condominium for steel studs and aluminum foil on insulation kills a wireless signals including Wi-Fi. KB1UKU.

I purchased this dehumidifier on the basis of independent reviews and rating agencies. It is adequate for my purposes and so far seems to work as advertised. The fan is noisier than I had expected, but tolerable.

I wish it were simpler to empty the bucket. It is too easy to spill water while emptying it, and as a result I have to carry it to the bathtub and pour it in there to avoid drips on the floor. A couple of hours after I installed the unit and turned it on for the first time, I noticed water pooling on the floor behind the unit.

After some investigation, I found that water was seeping out from the seal of the drain cap on the back of the unit. I tightened it as much as I could with my fingers (I did not use a wrench for fear of breaking the plastic), but the leaking would not stop.

I called the Frigidaire help line, but this took many tries as an automated message said they were too busy to take another call. I eventually got through and spoke with an agent who said she could not help me because I had purchased the unit from Amazon, and that I should return the unit to Amazon.

I found this option unacceptable, and decided to attempt a repair by myself. I unscrewed the drain cap and wound teflon (plumbers) tape around the threads and replaced the drain cap. This seems to have resolved the issue, but I am disappointed that I had to figure out how to modify a brand-new unit with no advice or assistance from the manufacturer.

We have a cabin that sits on a concrete slab and our two front bedrooms have always had considerable humidity issues. I began researching small room dehumidifiers when a more permanent solution could not be identified.

I bought two of these units as they seemed to be the right size, right noise level, and had reasonably good reviews. Within a few days on continuous operation – I was amazed at the difference in humidity.

After these few days, I switched the units to low fan and set a humidity of 45 – it has solved our considerable problem. I wish I could run it with a continual drain but don’t have that option. There are some reviews that suggest issues arose with water leaking, code failures (not unlike every other small room dehumidifier on the market) – we have happily not experienced any negative issues and hopefully will not.

Bought this to replace a dehumidifier from another brand that had been recalled. This unit does not have a pump or remote control. For my use, have no necessity for those features. The first thing I noticed when I plugged it in and started it is how quiet it is comparison to the previous dehumidifier I had.

Not by intent, this also has a feature that works perfectly for my situation. It seems that dehumidifiers push the “exit” air out in assorted directions. This unit (if you are facing the front) pushes air out of the left side.

There seems to be no standard direction for which direction the air is pushed away from any of the manufacturers. It was just fortunate for me that the left is the ideal direction. IMO, consideration for which direction the air is removed will depend on where you place a dehumidifier.

Don’t want to locate it in a direction where the air removed is blocked by a wall or other obstruction. I am also using a short hose to drain the unit and that attaches at the rear. Nothing complicated, just remove a hose cap and attach at that point.

Be aware that some units drain from different directions. Again, this unit and the rear connection is ideal for me. I have only had this online for about 3 weeks at this time. No issues or complaints about how to operate or maintain.

This humidifier does not do that. It is really nice. U can choose ur humidity level and its all digital which is super nice!! It comes with a remote control which is awesome and a cleabing brush which makes cleaning it really easy.

We got this for our bedroom to add a humidifier to be able have a warm and cool mist going on all day and night. We run this machine day and night. It has a app that you can download on your phone to be able to control the humidifier itself.

Bought this for an elderly relative. It is the best humidifier I have ever seen, and I have bought quite a few over the years. It’s easy to fill and easy to clean, and doesn’t need cleaning that often.

In fact, I only clean it at the end of the season. Have used for two years, and the only problem I have had is the seal in the lid sometimes slips outward a bit after taking off the lid to fill the humidifier.

If I don’t notice and press it back down totally, water quickly starts spilling out when turned over. Other than that, it’s truly a great humidifier. I’ll always buy Levoit now, even though I had never even heard of the brand until last year.

My house was so dry we had a clay pot crack, ruined one of my expensive guitars and I woke up in the middle of the night because my mouth was so dry. For the past few years we used a unit that you need to fill up every day.

I didnt realize I could buy a unit like this for under $150 bucks I paid close to that for a unit I needed to fill up all the time. This unit was the best money I have spent in a long time now I dont wake up in the middle of the night with a dry mouth! The unit is easy to install with some basic tools and a 10 buck set of tin snips.

I dont have much knowledge about hvac or house repairs in general and I installed this just fine. You will need to buy some things to install this kit. Just like a furnace and most anything you buy for a house its a universal fit every house is built differently so there is no way the company could supply you with everything to install it thats why the kit is so cheap.

If they supplied every possible part you might need it would cost hundreds of dollars more. Ive seen people leave bad reviews because they dont understand its universal just like everything for a house.

When you buy a furnace or a hot water tank it doesnt come with everything to install it either because again every house is different.

I did a lot of research on this Aprilaire 400 humidifier vs the 600. My home is 2,500 sf and the specs for this model says it is adequate. I was debating between the 600 and this model, the 400. Ultimately, I picked this model for its efficient water usage and after a lot of use I am positive I made the right choice.

Unlike other humidifiers this one does not drain water unless there is a problem. Water still comes in from the top and flows over the water panel but water flow stops when a holding reservoir/cup gets filled on the bottom.

Other models just keep running water until there is no longer a call for humidity by the humidistat. The water in the cup is then wicked up and then water flow turns on again, This happens over and over as needed.

Installation was pretty straight forward. It took $75 worth of parts at the hardware store and about 6 hours to get it installed. Tape the supplied template/outline on either the supply (make sure it’s above the AC Coil) or the return duct and cut a hole.

Find a spot for the bypass (a 6″ round duct) on the other duct and make a hole there. The unit mounts the duct with several screws (self tapping sheet metal screws make fast work) I chose to mount the unit on the return side to avoid any future water issues.

I used a jig saw and a metal cutting blade. I used metal sealing tape on the edges of the unit itself and all the duct joints. I used one adjustable 90 degree elbow and a short 24″ section of straight duct to make the connection between the unit and the bypass.

Now for the water. I did more research on this than I care to admit. Here’s what I kept reading, if the furnace does not have long run cycles then run hot water to the humidifier. They explained it that if the furnace doesn’t get hot for a long time then the humidifier will not work as efficient.

So, with that logic I ran hot water to it. The kit includes a saddle valve which makes for an easy install. I used a sharkbite valve that is made for ice maker connections. This took more time than anything else.

Once the valve was in, I ran the shortest possible length of tubing to the humidifier in an attempt to keep the incoming hot water as hot as possible. After running the humidifier for some time now, my opinion is the hot water makes no difference.

The water flow doesn’t run enough to keep it hot for very long. I found that water will run for maybe 1 minute max before the fill cup fills and shuts off the water. After a couple minutes the cup will empty and water will run again, but this time for even less time because the water panel isalready wet.

The heat from the furnace, even on a short run time, seems to do just fine. Next was the wiring. The wiring is fairly complicated for the digital control. This digital control can be wired for manual use or fully automatic that uses the outside humidity level to determine the proper interior humidity level.

I wired the control for maximum usage of all the features. Turn off power to the furnace to avoid frying the board. I tapped into an existing 24VAC line for the power, connected all the wiring: C (common) and H (humidifier) from the furnace board, the white and yellow from the humidifier and the outside temp sensor wires to the humidistat.

I mounted the humidistat before the humidifier on the cold air return. (see photos) The humidistat will work in automatic mode based on outside temperature. I set it to level “5”. The humidity levels started to rise very quickly once I got everything running.

Awesome Unit. this is my first 400. I have usually always used a 500 (which is also a great unit) in my other houses. if you don’t have a easy way to drain go with the 400. Real simple sealed Magnet reed float switches.

pretty much a bullet proof design. If you have to change the input orientation its easy as well, but you will have to trim the manifold water feed tube, other than that straight forward. You don’t need a drain but it does have one for ’emergency needs’ i routed mine to my Furnace condensation drain pump.

why did in go with a 400 and not a 500. 500 NEEDs a drain, i live in a seasonally cold climate and the Condensation drain pump needing to run in the winter will have a tendency to freeze up in the line.

i. e. will eventually back up. the solution is the 400. If you are replacing an old LOBB (like a 100) humidifier then you may just need to open up the attachment opening. in my case i had to construct a new manifold.

Don’t forget to order another set of filters (comes with two already) , and if you anticipate any tin work tubing either hire a pro (a real tin work craftsman, not just an installer), or know your local codes.

Duct tape is for fixing tears in tarps, real Aluminum Foil tape (324A) if for HVAC duct work. don’t skimp.

I spent considerable time going through the many reviews for home humidifiers as I do prior to purchasing many of the products we buy. I was looking for a standalone humidifier that would work for the whole house and this one fell into that category.

The flu recently made its way through our household and I noted that the humidity inside was around 29%, this was causing dry throats and other issues being caused by lack of humidity. Long story short, I purchased this humidifier and had it set up and running in about 5 minutes.

The simplicity of the design was a big appeal and it’s probably the easiest of any humidifier to fill. Simply remove the bottle/ tank from the side, fill it at the sink and reinstall. The entire process took me less than a minute.

Our house is approximately 1800 square feet and within a couple of hours, the humidity level was at 38% which is perfect. Any more than that and we’d likely have to deal with condensation on the windows.

I have it running on the medium fan speed which is both quiet and effective. Yes, the fan is a bit louder on high speed but since I don’t require high speed to maintain the perfect humidity, it’s a non issue.

On medium fan speed, I fill the reservoir once in the morning and once in the evening which, as I said, is a very simple process. I have had ZERO issues with it and am very pleased at how it performs.

I bought this unit a few years ago and was really happy with it at first; however, last year it occasionally started flashing 20 for no reason. I contacted Air Care about the issue and received little help.

I thought the issue might just resolve itself, but now it’s happening constantly. This means I can only have the unit on when I’m home to monitor the humidity levels, which means the unit is useless and will have to be replaced.

I’ve emailed Air Care about this issue but have received no response. This is very disappointing. A good humidifier should not break down after only a few years of use.

On high output it is very loud. One notch down (medium high) a lot quieter, acceptable level thats ignorable. We have 1850sqft loft with 15ft ceilings. Within a few hours of running this the humidity level will go from 30% to 40%.

We hygrometers all over the place and this replaced 2 ultrasonic humidifiers that didnt work as well as this evaporative one. Using the bacteriostatic additive. Soak the filter in vinegar water for a few hours cleans it for longer use.

Showed up surprisingly fast. As this was to replace an existing unit that still worked until last weekend. Installation was easy and the directions were easy to follow. As it has only been installed for 3 days, it seems to work well, but more time would be needed for a fair evaluation.

There was humidity 15% in my house without humidifier. There is 45% humidity now (as recommended). I can easily change humidity to 40% or lower or to 60% by humidistat (controller). For installation I bought additional parts: 6″ flexible aluminum pipe, 1/2″ transparent plastic hose, flexible wire (20′), Aprilaire current sensing relay (about $15 on eBay).

I bought this unit at the end off this past summer for my music room [basement] to assure that humidity levels are around 45-50 %. My guitars require this. It does work, however be prepared to fill the reservoir every 8-12 hours! And as far as “whole home” humidification? Absolutely forget about that happening.

Once it turned cold and the furnace was running, the rest of the house was still bone dry. Even with the unit next to the return vent of the furnace it did absolutely nothing for the whole house. I am using the main home humidifier now with this portable unit augmenting the music room and it works very well for that.

47% humidity in that room where the upper floors are now 42% from the main humidifier. And I can go 24 hours before filling the tank now. So buy it as a “room” humidifier only and you will be ok. Also forget about the instructions saying the filter will last a season.

30 days is all I have seen from it. I have bought a filter at $20+ twice in two months. Now I just turn it over and and go an extra 30 days to keep the cost down. So yes, it works well to a degree. Lots of water and lots of costly filters, but it does keep A ROOM humid.

A A YES RECOMMENDATION with the above warning. They should allow a “maybe”.

The directions and schematics can be a little confusing. In attempting to save paper and space several configurations may be displayed at the same time on the same page but the instructions will tell you not to apply all displayed configurations at the same time or they will conflict rendering the device non-operational.

Just go slow, compare what your other equipment (e. g. , furnace) can do and triple-check your power connections (especially) before lighting it all up. The directions being combined is the most confusing piece.

The rest of the installation is being careful, picking your location, measuring and marking your templates, and using good tin snips to cut out your holes. Once installed it works very well. We gained 17 pts of humidity just running off of heat requests.

I’d like to switch over to the controller asking for fan to push more humidity (whether the heater is running or not) having also purchased a digital control (also Honeywell and specifically designed to work with TrueEase line in addition to some of their other lines) instead of the very simple non-digital unit that comes with it.

But other than tweaks it’s works fine and I’m happy with the results.

On average, I install a half dozen of these things per year. I have found them to be the most reliable humidifier on the market. That is key with me. I’ve had zero call backs or warranty claims. After installation, they require nothing more than a $15 water panel and a quick clean-up with a shop vac once a year.

No fancy steam canisters, or special water filters needed. Plus they only use a fraction of the electricity that the steam units require. The HE250 is the advanced model. It cycles the water on and off, just enough to keep the panel wet, but not waste a bunch of water.

Be aware of this, before you claim the unit is faulty. It’s designed to minimize a steady flow of water down the drain. The manual states it can be installed on supply or return ducting. I only install on return ducting.

The laws of physics say water will evaporate faster when atmospheric air pressure is less. Tapping into a hot water pipe also seems to help.

Number one read you manual, do the required cleaning and changing of your pad. Two I have had my unit for seven years have never had a problem with it since i make sure I clean the unit once a month during the heating season.

by cleaning I mean remove the pad holder insure your drain is clean and free check your pad for cleanliness check you water drip line at the top of the init depending on your water hardness you may need to clean it.

check your filter on the furnace change if needed a free flowing filter will insure clean air and proper air flow. A little looking after will keep your unit working for years ignoring it will not. As with everything you have to do the preventive side of maintenance to keep your equipment working, don’t blame the equipment if you don’t do your part.

Worked at first, used maybe 10 times and suddenly the sel just cracked and leaked everywhere. Pros: quiet, lightweight, remote, easy interface Cons: whoever thought filling from the bottom was a good idea should be fired.

I have a disability and can’t lift over 5# and this thing is got the stupidest refill design. Why could t you make the top removable and fill from top? Did you not have seniors or handicap in mind when designing this unit? It does its job I’ll say that, but it’s too expensive for all its flaws the vics 19.

95 humidifier is simple and easier to fill and cost a lot less. Customer service is friendly and their attempt at resolving my broken unit is worth mentioning. They are sending me a free replacement so I’ll update if need in another 6 months see if this one lasts.

I purchased this humidifier to keep my nose (and plants) happy in the winter months. I’ve had it for about 6 months and feel like I can give some confident comments. Pros: -Can put out a lot of humidity, especially on warm mode! -Lots of options and setting, both on the unit and with the remote, so it’s easy to set and forget.

-I like that the screen can be turned off so it doesn’t add light to the environment. -The essential oil pad works nicely. Cons: -Loud! It’s not like a plane loud, however it sounds like a laptop that is running on high, even when I’m several meters away in my office.

I contacted customer service about this because other reviews said it was very quiet. They said that this is normal, so in my mind not a good unit in places where you don’t want to be distracted or noticeably alerted each time it turns on.

-Bottom-filling isn’t fun. It’s pretty cumbersome to lift, flip, and open the tank. The lid can get really tight. If you have a dry space that needs a lot of moisture, you might not enjoy the process.

If this was a top-fill device and was actually decently quiet, I’d give it 5 stars. Due to the noise and tank design, I would not recommend it, unless you don’t care about these aspects and need to pump a bunch of moisture into the air.

I’ve had one LV600HH for several months and just bought a second identical one for our cabin. I did research other units and considered a different one, but since I have no complaints about the first I decided to get a duplicate.

I use distilled water and have no issues with white powder (that some reviews mention). Having the tank opening on the bottom doesn’t bother me – I just immediately turn it bottom up to fill it. Cleaning it weekly is quite easy.

Quiet and does its job well.

Thermometer is fine and compares well with all my other thermometers. Hygrometer seems to read quite low when in the 30s maybe 10 to 20% too low compared to others I own and certainly much lower that my wet and dry bulb hygrometer.

It is of course much harder for a device to read relative humidity compared to temperature. It works for example in a bathroom after a bath so the “low” “OK” and “high” readings are generally helpful.

I got 2 at a BP store and thought they were good. Ordered 8 more to put in equipment rooms for cath labs in hospitals. No, they are not a $500 temp/humidity scribe, but for low $’s they will tell you if you have an issue and need to rent a real monitor.

The 8 I ordered I put all together with a $175 unit and all but one were spot on for temp. One was 2 degrees low consistently. Humidity readings for all were in line with my expensive unit. Can’t speak for others experience, but I’m here to order 4 more.

For the price you can’t beat it. Seriously, it’s a really good price for what you get.

Having a humidity meter to understand your environment is very important, this acurite product make it happen and gives you a bit of history. Humidity is important to your health and also important to your house belongings such as your shoes, rugs, mattress, food.

and at the office the same thing your computer and other media, papers etc. I will recommend this product for those that understand the reason of it. I encourage you to learn more about it. Remember ignorance is expensive.

Ordered on a Sunday and received it on the following Wed. This unit is best available for Residential applications. Note that it does not use batteries and does require 24vac. Easy to install and configure.

In my use case, I tied it to the DHUM terminal on a Carrier gas furnace Control board (58MXB series). It had to be configured to humidifier control mode in order to lower the cooling fan from “Cool” to “Heat” tap speed when the measured humidity goes above the set point.

Also note that the user adjustable set point on the front panel is in increments of 5% and not in 1%.

STUDY THIS BEFORE BUYING. MAY REQUIRE PROFESSIONAL ELECTRICIAN TO INSATLL. It barely works. And you’ll need to buy a digital hygrometer to confirm actual humidity levels and to help calibrate this device.

It’s a crap shoot on this product. I bought one and it registered 25% huniditynwhen it was actually 30% or more. The hygrometer is not accurate at all. I sent back for a replacement. It resgistered 30% and never moved higher even whe other hygrometers measured 32% or 33%.

However, I did learn how to calibrate the device. It does the job but very inneficiently. I have the calibration set +8%. The max is +9%. The problem is that the humidity has to get to 32% to shut off and then will drop to 25% before it turns on.

I would have returned the product again, but I can’t find any alternative digital humidistat. Another complaint is that this unit needs constant power so it requires special wiring to operate. WHY DONT THEY MANUFACTURE A BATTERY OPERATED UNIT LIKE THEY DO FOR THE THERMOSTAT? I had to pay an installer around $200 to put a wire in to supply the constant current to the device.

Some reviews say it is accurate. My experience on two devices suggest otherwise. Both units were off by 5 to 10%. I bought a $15 digital hygrometer and compared against two analog hygrometers all three wore more accurate than this device.

So be prepared to calibrate the device and purchaese a digital hygrometer to verify the actual humidity.

This product was a recommended item to control the Ultra-Aire 98H 98-Pint Ventilating Dehumidifier. Nothing fancy and inexpensive. Controller displays the current humidity and is able to set the humidity level.

It is a basic controller to turn-on/off the unit. Easy to install if you have basic knowledge of electronic switches.

Product works just as described. Accurate humidity readings without paying a fortune. Perfect size for what we needed. Easily mounts to side of fridge.

Bought two. Photo shows them side-by-side. Appears to be designed thoughtfully, practically, and well–size; controls; features; display; durability; accuracy. Manual is in plain language. Happy with this product.

The 24hr trending feature can be reset with controls on back.

I bought four of these in the same order. I then placed them in the same room and location. They all match each other in temperature and humidity. They also match to another one that I bought many months ago.

I don’t know the accuracy of them, but at least they are all precise with each other. So it seems the factory calibration is very good.

I have a pair of Midea (rebranded) mini splits and a Midea Dehumidifier already. I wanted a small low-power dehumidifier to put in the RV for when it sits most of the year. The smaller RV AC unit pulls 1,000 watts and I don’t need it cool, just dry.

This little guy only pulls 250 watts max (turbo) while operating. I plopped it in the shower basin and cut a garden hose so the condensate runs right into the shower drain. I got this particular unit because my mini splits and existing dehumidifier are all WIFI enabled and it is very convenient to have them all in the same app.

Midea is a Chinese company partnered with Toshiba and have been making compressors for a number of years now. They are very reliable.

So, I used this dehumidifier for nearly one month now and I’m really surprised how efficient it is and really convenient. There are some bugs on the ground floor of my big house. My family usually likes to use the bathroom on that floor to take a shower or clean the mops, it gets very damp.

This dehumidifier drops the humidity very quickly, meanwhile the noise of the machine is acceptable, not too loud. It was very easy to assemble, just take it out and plug it in, it works perfectly. Super easy to move around if you want to move it from one room to the other, even to another house.

It has a movable bucket and is easy to take away by just one hand. The bucket is a large capacity, you do not need to empty it often, i really like that. It’s also wifi-enabled and can be controlled from anywhere using IOS or Android device.

This dehumidifier has many friendly settings, like comfort/filter, the different settings will provide you different joy. Also, it has an easy timer, really useful! I highly recommend this dehumidifier brand, which makes my bugs disappear and meets all our dehumidification needs.

The most important is cost-effective!.

Well, let me start by talking about the drain system. It works, but that’s only if you you have a place to drain it into. I thought, it got full, then tells you to drain it. No. It drains little by little.

So I had the drain hose hooked up and found water in the rug from the constant dripping. I put the plug on it and just drain it manually when the light comes on. Next issue. The 40 pints can be heavy for weak people.

Plus it can slosh around when you drain it. Ours is near the door, so it is a little easier. Be aware that when the light first comes on if you remove the drawer holding the water, some more water will drip out.

Wait for a little time to lessen this action. Reduce the chance of mold growing. Thirdly, when it sits for a period of time, empty the water. It will become slimy looking at the bottom of the drawer.

Empty it, clean it with mild soap and water, and let it air out. Problems solved. Effectiveness – WORKS VERY GOOD!.

It did not have wheels. The castors were not in the water tank as stated, nor in the box. The unit leaks. I found white caulking inside the water tank. Not sure if I am keeping if the leaking keeps happening.

I have reset the tank and the valve cover for the water line out. Also missing hose and pump adapter but not sure if this unit is one for that. Unfortunately the manual does not say the model numbers.

After about one year, it started cycling through all the buttons/lights non-stop every time I plugged it in. Something is wrong with the circuitry? It’s little computer? It’s obviously something I can’t fix.

It runs, but I can’t program it, and it beeps continuously as it cycles through all the options. That makes it unbearable, so it’s basically unusable. I’m going to do lots of research this time, and I’m going to buy something likely to last more than one year.
