A humidifier is a device that emits water vapor into the air. The vapor increases the air’s humidity, or the amount of water vapor in the air. This can help to relieve congestion and coughing, as well as dryness of the throat, nose, and sinuses.
It can also help to prevent or reduce static electricity. In some cases, a humidifier can also help to reduce snoring.

Living in Wisconsin during the bitter cold winters is very difficult on skin and hair. The ultra cold weather dries skin quickly and lotion only helps for so long. I recently added this humidifier to my room and run it for a couple hours before going to bed at night and then through the night.
I noticed a difference in my skin within a week, needing fewer applications of lotion throughout the day. Another difference I noticed was less nasal dryness and soreness. This humidifier is small but mighty, putting out a nice amount of moisture throughout the night.
It is quiet and does not keep me up at night. The size makes it easy to use most any where in the house and allows for you to easily move it from room to room if necessary. The device is easy to clean and maintain as well as add water to.
I would highly recommend this Cool Mist Humidifier to everyone.
This is a good quality product with nice features. It provides a cool mist and keeps the air in my room moist which helps with my sinuses. The humidifier has a knob that allows you to control the the amount of mist that comes out.
With this feature you can choose to have a lot of mist, or just a little mist. This also controls how much moisture will be put in the air. There is also a small reservoir on the side that you can add an essential oil.
I like this feature because its like having a 2-1 machine, it is a humidifier and can also work as a diffuser. Using the humidifier is easy, I just fill it up with regular tap water and turn it on. The humidifier will automatically turn off once all of the water is gone, which is a great feature because I don’t have to worry about leaving it on overnight.
Overall this humidifier is great and I really like it.
Set up very easy. I would recommend using reverse osmosis water, to prevent build-up, or distilled water. It’s smaller in size, but gets the job done. If you are using it in your bedroom, I would recommend using the low setting, so it doesn’t make your sheets/bed moist.
I was able to run it through the entire night, on low, without it running out of water. I do love that it will turn off on it’s own when it does run out of water, that’s a great feature. I have noticed a difference as far as my nose/mouth/throat not feeling as dry.
It’s currently winter, so we keep the heat up rather high 24/7, and that starts to take a toll. It does make a humming sound when it’s running, but I honestly didn’t even notice it after 5-10 minutes, and it definetly didn’t affect my sleep.
I havent’ used the essential oil feature yet, but I’m excited to!.
Visible Cool Mist: This humidifier disperses 360 degrees of visible ultrasonic cool mist; adds the perfect amount of moisture to any large bedroom, home office space, or family room up to 547 sq. ft.
This one ticks all the boxes for me. Compact, quiet, easy fill, easy clean, micro mist, diffuser pad slot with 1 new pad, 2 extra diffusers pads, optional soft glowing night light. I’ve let it run for three nights now on medium and water level is not empty yet, which is not bad.
The mist that comes out is very fine, no leaking or droplets collecting. The directional nozzle can be turned 360 degrees around but mostly the mist is pointed up rather than at an angle like traditional humidifiers which I’m not used to yet.
I’ve gotten so many junky humidifiers and find this latest model from HoMedics is a great improvement. Time will tell if this machine lasts.
Objecto H3 original classic humidifier is Small in appearance but huge in performance. H3 blends with every room’s Dcor adding a fashionable twist to the Common everyday humidifier. The innovative hybrid technology heats the water to ensure bacteria is killed and with the use of ultrasonic technology a safe Quiet Mist is created.
The key features include aroma Therapy capabilities and timer modes. The anti-bacterial water tank can hold 2 liters and runs up to 18 hours while humidifying a room of 350 square feet. Automatically shuts off when the water tank empties, alerting you with a few sound signals.
After a year of use, the flaws of this very stylish humidifier become apparent. CLEANING: There is a small shelf inside the top of the funnel that gets moldy if not cleaned regularly. The problem is, there is no good way using anything you would have lying around the house to access this area to clean.
This is unfortunate as the rest of the unit is very easy to clean. REPLACEMENT PARTS: Yes. “The ceramic disc should last for about 3,000 hours. ” That is only 4 months of use. I would be less irritated about this if I could actually find replacement ceramic discs to purchase from either Bookstore or Broksonic.
WARRANTY: Misleading 1-year warranty statement. The product essentially comes with a 90-day warranty, and an extended 9 month REPAIR warranty with a $40 fee. NOISE: The noise of the unit is topic for debate but is real.
It is a soothing white noise, but is clearly audible. More shocking is that you can hear the vibration of the motor from other rooms. I have more of a problem with that than the misting/fan noise in the room.
SUMMARY: I purchased this from Bookstore to compliment another Bookstore humidifier that we still have in use from the 1980s. yes. probably almost 30 years ago. If I could find replacement ceramic discs and could easily clean the funnel top, I would be more supportive of this product.
However, those two things are deal breakers for me.
We purchased this humidifier for our bedroom because we have radiant heat which makes for incredibly dry sleeping conditions in Ohio winters. We started humidifying last year with a cheaper Walmart machine ($40) that did the trick, but failed on us after one year.
This year, having made some other improvements to our bedroom, we decided to do some research and get a good one. This one caught our eye because of its clean white aesthetic and ease of maintenance.
Also, love the idea of the essential oil diffuser all in one. I still have yet to get my hands on some essential oils (slightly hard to find in my area) but can’t wait for that. After two weeks of use, I will say this product is incredibly high quality, has improved comfort in the room, and looks fantastic.
It takes up a very small footprint, but still does the trick. We do not have a very large bedroom, but this humidifier is perfect for our space. Looks great, absolutely SILENT, and modern controls that are thoughtfully designed.
Initially, the lights were bothering me at night, but we added a small stand to hold it, which allow us to face the controls toward the wall, thereby solving that issue. Great product!.
I’ve tried many humidifiers to find the perfect one and this is it! The entire family has allergies and this humidifier is fantastic! Previous humidifiers grew mold quickly and were difficult to use.
This one, however, is perfect – lightweight, easy to clean and uses tap water – no distilled water needed. The diffuser is so light you don’t really notice a smell, unlike some that are way too strong! It is attractive and we have them in every bedroom and in the living room – a definite buy and one that you will be very pleased with!.
Has 6 psi audible-alarm pressure relief valve to warn patient and caregivers of obstructions to flow. Designed for applications where longer lengths of tubing can increase back pressure. Includes plastic flowmeter nut.
This concentrator that our DME brought to us did not come with a bubbler. They refused to provide one without an order/ Hospital only says it supposed to have one. Nothing else. So I order these. They are supposed to fit.
They are to tall for our concentrator. So I had to make a curved pipe to allow the clearance I needed. Now it woks great. In conjunction with the cool air humidifier that was just added to our recent weaning from the vent the mist is great.
Better that at the hospital is what my loved one says. We had dry airway the entire time there. I had to give a 4 star since its so tall. It would not fit a 5 or a 10 liter concentrator. We tried both i the store to see.
If we burn up another concentrator I know how to connect it now.
Humidifier was missing the little screw in piece at the top, do i used old one from another humidifier, seem to work okay, but way to much water was intruding into the 02 supply line….waste of money
It comes with no instructions to install with. Puts a lot of water into the air line but with no instruction manual, one can only guess that it is suppose to do that right?
Exclusive to ResMed’s AirMini Portable Auto-CPAP Machines, HumidX waterless humidifiers are small HME (Heat and Moisture Exchange) filters designed to provide comfortable and effective humidification, in dry or high altitude environments (like aircraft), without the need for a traditional water based heated humidifier.
HumidX waterless humidifiers provide AirMini users with extra comfort by retaining the moisture and heat from the air you breathe and delivering it back into the sleep therapy breathing circuit. When you exhale, HumidX captures heat and moisture and stores it within the HME’s tiny paper ridges.
When you inhale, this heat and moisture is released to humidify the air you breathe in, offering relief from possible dryness and congestion. The HumidX is ideal when traveling to environments where the humidity levels are low.
HumidX can be inserted directly between the mask connector and the vent, providing effective waterless humidification at a compact, effective and comfortable level. USAGE : HumidX HME Filters are disposable and should be replaced after 30 days once opened regardless of whether they have been used continuously or not.
The AirMini by ResMed is ideal air travel, as well as weekend getaways in our camper van! In addition, the AirMini Humid X conveniently takes care of my moisture needs in changing environment, with no dry throat or dry nose issues, even on long vacations.
My AirSense 10 is great for home use, but it covered the entire bedside table in our van! Now I can tuck the AirMini in a corner of my bunk, and be assured that the AirMini Humid X will take care of my moisture needs!.
Unless you carefully read the product description (by scrolling down or selecting correct tab), you will easily miss that there is no humidifier option for F20 mask set up. Why there is no humidifier option or why cpap.
com does not make this clearer is perhaps a mystery. For example, at checkout, the site could easily provide a prompt warning that the product is not compatible with F20 (especially given that I’ve only ordered F20 in the past).
I’ve requested options for return/refund but have not received an answer.
This little humidifier cartridge does the trick for my Airmini needs. I was undecided whether I would need the HumidX Plus, but this HumidX is fine for normal environments. I think only somewhere with a very dry climate would need the Plus.
Create a more comfortable living space. This house-wide humidifier features a built-in humidistat and digital controls which allow you to select the exact amount of humidity you want–or just turn on the automatic setting and let the humidifier decide for you! From Aircare.
The Cool Mist Ultrasonic Humidifier helps fight the effects of dry indoor air and maintain indoor humidity. Micro-fine cool mist with a 360 nozzle ensures maximum coverage. The 0. 85 gallon/3. 2 L easy to fill tank provides up to 60 hours of runtime on low.
A whisper- quiet design with an on/off night-light function allows for easy use at night. Diffuse your favorite essential oil with the essential oil tray and included pads. Clean Tank Technology helps protect the tank from mold and mildew.
A demineralization cartridge is included to help prevent mineral buildup from hard water. As a safety feature, the humidifier automatically shuts off when the tank is empty. Ideal for bedrooms and home offices.
The Ultrasonic cool mist humidifier guards against problems caused by dry air in the home. It is ideal for use in small sized rooms. Unlike other humidifiers that grow slimy mold on the water tank surface, Silver Clean protection is embedded in the tank to fight the growth of mold and mildew on the surface of the water tank.
Thanks to ultrasonic technology, it disperses a fine mist into the air, and is ultra-quiet making it ideal to have on while you sleep. This top fill humidifier has an optional aroma tray so a few drops of essential oil can be added to create a relaxing atmosphere.
The humidifier is equipped with a night light and variable mist control. A low water indicator light lets you know when it’s time to refill the water tank. PureGuardian humidifiers create a better home environment for those suffering from colds, allergies and dry skin.
Got this to add humidity to our bedroom when sleeping in the winter months. Temps have been very cold -5 to -10 and air is really dry. Seems to help a lot when we have it running compared to not running.
Very quiet and we can go for 4-5 days between refills. Night light feature is nice as my wife usually retires before I do, however there is a blue light to show it is on that I feel is too bright and can be an annoyance when trying to sleep.
One thing we did find out as a sidebar is that when running an ultrasonic humidified in the home with gas appliances it will change the flame appearance on your gas stove to have some orange cast in the flame which we were alarmed at but we had someone from the local utility company come over and he said it was not uncommon and nothing to worry about.
I also bought the Geek Squad protection for this product as humidifiers and dehumidifiers are not known for their longevity.
I had a warm mist humidifier that required lifting the full tank then flipping it over into the base everytime. The chore of soaking it in vinegar to remove the mineral scale was a huge pain. That’s all in the past now that I have this H1175 1.
5 Gallon top fill cool mist humidifier. I recommend buying the FLTDC20 humidifier demineralization cartridge that fits inside this unit and GGHS15 Aqua stick humidifier water cartridge to help keep tank cleaner longer.
It’s good for those who can’t lift, flip and drop in a resevoir tank. I’m very pleased. I will be buying another one for a gift.
It’s nice and open which makes filling easy. Cleaning is easier than some other models, but there’s still a bunch of nooks and crannies you have to get into and the brush they give you gets messed up pretty fast.
I used an oversized chopstick with a paper towel on it to get into the tubes. Some areas were just impossible to actually get at. We only use it during the winter so maybe 7 or 8 months of the year if that.
The third season we had it we turned it on one night and it started making a weird kind of grinding sound and the fog stopped. I cleaned it and dried it and it was fine for a while then it happened again.
Periodically it would do that or just not make fog but also not make the noise. It sucked because we use filtered water and would have to dump it all out and start over. There’s only so much you can water your plants.
I took a few pieces apart, flexed a spring, tinkered here and there, and it usually helped. the screws underneath are special and are unreachable with any screwdriver we own or I’d have taken it apart and seen what’s going on with the motor.
January 2021 it is making grinding noises and nothing I do fixes it. I guess it lasted 2½ years, but since we didn’t use it all year. not really. Seems a waste to have to junk one of these every few years.

I have tried several humidifiers and I will look no further. I was really congested a lot and I live in a mobile home. I tried this one and it gets the job done. I was and after purchasing this one my congestion cleared up really well I don’t have to use it everyday.
now. Also, my 1 year old great granddaughter came over my house with a runny nose that had lasted for a while she kept playing by it and it cleared up her runny nose that has been like that for quite some time.
If your looking for a great humidifiers with a reasonable price look no further you won’t be disappointed.
Made the kitchen air look smokey and gas kitchen top burned really orange instead of blue. Caused drops in oxygen levels and would definitely not be good for small children. Water used was only slightly hard.
Flame irregularity went away in 3 hours after unit was shut off.
This was an excellent purchase. This humidifier runs extremely quiet while doing an excellent job of putting moisture in the air. Several east to use features. I now breathe much better at night. It has a permanent ceramic filter and anti ancrobial tank which means no hassle care.
Best of all there were very good set-up, and how-to-use instructions. I was very impressed in this day of one page quick instructions that there was a very well written booklet with easy to read and understand pictures and instructions.
And best of all I received my usual and always appreciated excellent customer serrated my local Canandaguia Ace Hardware and used my coupons to purchase it. I recommend this space saving humidifier.

This unit is very quiet and does the job it was purchased for. Runs all night and then some on one tank of water. Reducing static in our bedclothes and helping keep our sinuses moist during this cold northeast winter!.
Salter Disposable Bubble Humidifier features 360 degree rectangular diffuser port which provides quiet operation with low system back pressure and pop-off alarm. Dome lid design incorporates refinements, resulting in high performance.
Ideal for use with all oxygen sources like concentrator, liquid, tank and wall outlet. Easy seal, translucent, double helix thread jar is simple with half turn on or off with positive seal.
We had been operating our oxygen generator without humidification for some time, not knowing about such a devise, and was being annoyed with dry nose discomfort. A friend advised me regarding such an attachment and for the price, I figured what is there to loose.
I order it, attached it and By Golly it works just like the information from Direct Home Medical (DHM) said it would. The unit was easy to attach, easy to clean out, and easy to refill and get back on line.
Dealing with DHM was a breeze, was well worth the minimal cost and you can’t beet an item that is delivered rapidly, on time and with free shipping. Thanks, HGL.
This has helped my husband so much with his oxygen therapy. His nose feels much better using this Bubbler. Appreciate the communication on shipping and when we would receive the product. We will use DirectHomeMedical as first choice.
First of all I want to thank you for Delivery in time. I used the Bottle & found Good. The size of Bottle needs to be increased to 300ml. I would like to purchase one more. Can you please send me a mail for Link.
For added comfort and improved sleep add an integrated heated humidifier to your IntelliPAP Series CPAP or BiLevel device. The IntelliPAP Heated Humidifier docks into the bottom of the IntelliPAP CPAP without requiring a separate hose or power cord.
Its sleek design creates a single unit with the CPAP that is built for durability.
I prefer to have a mild amount of humidification always in my CPAP to prevent that dried out sensation. That meant getting the optional humidifier that goes with my new IntelliPAP machine. I have used a Phillips Respironics machine for five years with almost 100% daily use.
It has a tank that is easy to access and fill. I cannot say the same for the DeVilbis. Removing the tank means using two hands to first depress the front latch and pulling at the same time, convoluted but doable.
The next step is brainless. You must again depress another latch on the tank to release the entire top of the reservoir which then comes completely off in your hands leaving the bottom to be filled. After setting aside the separate top this requires a flat surface to set the tank bottom on to insure it is level before pouring water in to some arbitrary level.
The instructions say do not fill above the mark on the bottom of the tank but I have as yet not located that mark. Then the tabs on the top tank half must be located just right on the bottom tank in a vertical position and carefully rotated to the horizontal position.
I could see how easily one could snap off a tab being in a hurry and mis-locating the top. Once in position you must firmly push down on the top to lock it back in place on the bottom. Then the whole filled tank must be returned to the bottom slot on the CPAP pressing firmly in to lock the tank in position.
The only reason I didn’t give this contrived tank and procedure a one is that at least when reassembled the unit doesn’t leak. Ergonomically this is the worst tank arrangement I could imagine.
This humidifier is installed just beneath the machines, so it save space. And the water compartment allow me to carry water to the machine without spilling. Compare to my AirSense 10, water can easily spill out while refilling.
Except when carrying the humidifier when empty, you have to be careful not to drop the water compartment out. The water compartment did not lock tightly within the humidifier. I guess its a quality control thing.
Since the same humidifier that my friend have, the compartment can be lock securely within the humidifier.
I recently purchased this item with my new CPAP machine. to remove the water reservoir is a no brainier. But to remove the lid portion requires some finger strength and the way it is designed would make you think the catch would snap off.
To fill it up requires it to be filled with the cover on and it is purred down one or two slots in the top making it possible to spill and it must be upright to see the fill line. If you have a Soclean machine, the line is snaked through the water chamber and out through the humidifier portion using a pair of forceps to pull it out of the hose tube.
Every time it needs to be refilled, the hose must be pulled out and reinserted again.
The Philips Respironcs System One heated tube humidifier kit includes everything needed to add the a humidifier with heated tubing to a 60 series BiPAP or CPAP unit.
Get THIS with your machine, and get the HEATED TUBE as well, and say goodbye to ‘rainout’ in your mask! Rainout occurs when the ambient room temp is colder than the air going through your tube (non-heated tube).
Condensation occurs- a bad thing, and water begins to form as the humidified air cools below the vapor stage. You wake up and feel like you’re drowning in your (full face) mask. Since buying this from Cpap.
com (at the same time I bought my new Auto CPAP A-Flex machine), rainout is a thing of the past. Also, setting this to “3” and the tube heat to “3”, I no longer suffer from the dry hacking cough I used to get when not running my humidifier at night.
A HUGE bonus! Easy to fill up, the entire humidifier easily slides out of the machine and allows top filling with a measuring cup. DO NOT fill beyone the max fill-line, or water will spill out onto your end table or nightstand.
Only minor knock is the ‘heated’ tubing is VERY short. If you live alone, you must put your machine in the center of your headboard, the tube is not long enough to allow free rolling all over a Queen or larger bed elsewise.
Since I have a “bookcase” headboard, this is not a huge issue, I can put it in the middle of the bookcase. LOVE this, much easier to refill than the prior heated model (REMSTAR) from Philipps Respironics.
My long-used humidifier stopped working. I ordered this replacement. Then I realized I had inadvertently changed the humidifier settings on the CPAP machine. Reset those, and the old one worked fine.
I sent the new one back in the unopened box. The real story here is how the company treated me–with kindness and helpfulness–refunded my purchase price minus a 15% restocking fee (fair enough) and my paying the return postage.
This has been a great company to work with for the many years that I have been a customer.
Overall, this replacement works well. Only complaints: heated tube comes apart from my mask more easily than previous tube. Also, unless I haven’t looked close enough, the water container doesn’t have a fill line.
Humidifiers are often used as a treatment for sleep apnea, a condition in which breathing is interrupted during sleep. A humidifier adds moisture to the air, which can help to keep the airways clear and prevent sleep apnea.
There are a few different types of humidifiers, and the best type for sleep apnea may vary depending on the individual. Some humidifiers can be placed directly on the bedside table, while others must be placed on the floor.
There are also portable humidifiers that can be taken with you when you travel.
The most important factor to consider when choosing a humidifier is the size of the unit. The humidifier should be large enough to cover the entire room, or at least the area where you will be sleeping.
Smaller humidifiers may not be as effective at treating sleep apnea.
Another important factor to consider is the noise level of the humidifier. Some humidifiers can be quite loud, which can be disruptive to sleep. Look for a humidifier with a low noise level, or one that can be placed on a timer so that it will turn off automatically during the night.
If you are using a humidifier to treat sleep apnea, it is important to clean the unit regularly. Some humidifiers come with special filters that need to be replaced regularly. Others may require that the water be changed frequently.
Be sure to follow the manufacturer’s instructions for cleaning and maintenance.
If you have sleep apnea, you should talk to your doctor about the best treatment options. In some cases, a humidifier may be all that is needed to relieve the symptoms. In other cases, more aggressive treatment may be necessary.
Your doctor can help you to determine the best course of treatment for your individual needs.
