20 Best Human Urine Odor Remover (2023 Updated)

We have four cats & have tried several products to reduce urine/feces odor on accidents & around litter box areas. This is an excellent product. It works just as well on carpet as it does on concrete.

It works on simple cleanups on walls & litter boxes when they urinate over the box edge. The smell is a nice odor that goes away (along with the bad odor); many products have a distinct smell that does not disappear.

It does not stain our carpet. The cats don’t come back to use the same spot if there has been an accident that has been cleaned up. I use the spray bottles but this refill bottle is wonderful to keep the spray bottle full & ready to go.

It is also a good cleaner around our toilets. Thanks for having the refill bottle!.

I absolutely love this. I can’t find it anywhere so I’m really upset. I have a bunch of rescue dogs who are really old and so they don’t make it outside to potty sometimes. They completely ruined my bedroom floor from wall to wall pretty much with accidents.

I tried so many cleaners but this is the ONLY ONE that actually allowed me to take back my room. You spray it on the floor and watch it foam where the accidents are and then clean it up. The smell is ok and smells awesome once dried.

I understand that covid s probably caused the company to amp up production for bleach and all but I need this. Hope you have a safe and healthy year, T.

This is the best urine remover spray I have ever used–and I have used a lot! Works better than the expensive enzyme spray recommended to us by a professional carpet cleaner, and better than the highly rated expensive enzyme sprays on Amazon.

Thoroughly saturate the area with this spray, let it dry. If there’s still any smell left, do it again. Once the area smells like the spray instead of the urine, use a carpet/upholstery cleaner or something to get the spray residue out, if you want.

It also seems to deter the pet from going in that spot again. Gets the smell out better than ANYTHING else I’ve tried. Before I found this spray, I had to replace carpet/padding and seal the subfloor with killz to get rid of the smell.

I’m not one to review products such as these (cleaning products) but after trying this, I had too. I have a little Shih-Tzu; he’s almost 11 years old and as with many small/toy dogs, he doesn’t always wait to go outside and we didn’t have much luck with puppy pads.

It wasn’t a big deal when we first got him as our home had ceramic tile throughout and one area rug and he would never potty on the rug. We moved to the country and our new house has carpeting in the bedrooms and wood floors throughout.

The first thing we did was seal and polish the floors, the house is older and these were original and we wanted to keep them. We assumed since Maxx never peed on our area rug, he wouldn’t on the bedroom carpet- BIG MISTAKE! At first, he wouldn’t and went out for quite a few walks.

then he started going in our bedroom at the corner of our bed. Since he’s a small dog, he never reached our box spring or comforter, quilt, etc. , depending on the time of year but the carpet was terrible.

I was at Walmart and decided to buy a bottle and try it on one corner of the carpet and it worked like a dream. Granted you’re on your hands and knees scrubbing (purchased some knee pads and new scrub brushes LOL), but it’s worth it.

After cleaning those spots, we used our carpet steam cleaner and the carpet looked brand new again. I went and purchased a couple of bottles at my husband’s request, and grabbed the Resolve Easy Clean Brush Kit, even better at scrubbing, we just don’t use the foam cleaner till after we’re done scrubbing.

I wanted to make sure I gave it a chance before I wrote my review. My cat peed on my bed and it got thru my blanket, sheet, mattress topper and it got on my mattress. I washed everything else a few times and that took care of the smell on all of that but I couldn’t get the pee away from my mattress.

It smelled at night and I couldn’t fall asleep and I tried every pet stain remover we had in our house. So I decided no harm in trying this… I used it for two days. Sprayed really close to the mattress and let it soak.

Then I took a damp rag and scrubbed and did that about twice. The second day I just sprayed it and then an hour later I blow dried it to help it dry faster. It worked! I can’t smell the pee anymore (thank god) and I can finally sleep! Absolutely recommend this product.

After erroneously not changing my toddler’s diaper when I really should have, we ended a long drive with a wet car seat. In my infinite wisdom, I simply thought it was just the car seat cover. I cleaned it and put it back on like the sucker I was.

It wasn’t until two days later did my car start smelling like a NYC subway station in summer. Things just got worse as I uninstalled the car seat to realize that the urine had seeped into the fine plastic workings of the car seat.

We have no pets so no urine spot cleaner or deodorizer. I tried my best to clean it with soap and water but was frustrated when I realized the odor still remained, albeit, very faintly. It was then when I had ordered this after not being able to get the original product I wanted.

And I sprayed the crevices I could not reach with long cotton swabs. The morning after, it does not smell at all. And I am so relieved it worked. This product is the MVP that saved my car and summer outings.

I’ll be using this definitely for the inevitable accidents potty training will create.

Just got this today. My senior cat was been having problems going to the litter box sometimes and found my area rug was a good place to go. She seems to better now, but needless to say I need that smell gone.

I’m waiting to get a shipment in for a blacklight flashlight so I can find all the spots, but I just decided to spray the whole area lightly to see if it would help in the meantime. IT TOTALLY DID! I will still follow up with the blacklight to make sure it doesn’t come back and my cat doesn’t remark from the scent being there, but I’m happy that this worked (better than Febreze which just covered it up very temporarily).

I am very happy with this product it works perfectly. The only reason it may not work perfectly for u is if u don’t apply it correctly. No scrubbing just spray. If the area is really wet I would soak up the area with rags or shop-vac it if u have one.

If it’s damp Urine Gone will work great. I have had cats and dogs all my life cat urine has always been an impossible thing to truly get rid of the odor. I would think I got rid of it but the first humid day or a few days later I would find out all the products and cleaning mixtures I had tried never worked like this stuff.

I mean this stuff is the best. Be sure to spry the area in different directions just make sure u spry it on and around the urine spots. It won’t matter if there damp or dry it will work if it didn’t get enough on I to do the job spry it with a good coat like the first give it a little drying time and the smell is Gone.

Do the smell test my daughter and I have always done step out side for a few minutes or if u go out come back in ur home and check out the smells u won’t smell pet urine. If u do then that means u have missed a place.

Use a blacklight light bulb in any lamp easy to care around ur rooms put it close to the areas u think it maybe in the dark and u can find were it’s coming from. Use it in places were baby’s my have soiled or around toilets that little boys may be missing the bowl and big men.

Use it were elderly people have had a problem. Use it on other tough orders it’s made to eliminate enzyme odors I’m sure it would work great for shoes and body odors on your furniture where someone has slept and sweated.

The only thing I can say keep your cat boxes clean. just make sure your pets are given plenty opportunities to use bathroom outside. Not left inside for long hours without some way to go out and relieve themselves remember small little ones go when they wake up from a nap after they eat.

With two dogs in the house (one puppy, one older) we try desperately to keep up with the pee pee accidents in the house, but it’s difficult. We have wee wee pads all over the house and they know how to go on them, but often forget – or go right next to it! None of the products we tried previously seemed to remove the urine smell from the carpet, but this one is a lifesaver.

I was threatening to pull the carpet up and throw it out, but this product actually works! It is also much cheaper than some of the other products. I’ve paid up to $30 for a small bottle of something that didn’t work at all! The Clorox Spray was sold out in my store, but delivery was within a day or two when I ordered it online.

I use this mostly for laundry to pretreat all types of stains in whites and colors. It works great for the bottom of white socks with dirt and stains from sports and general walking around in socks. It is excellent for pretreating bedding, underwear, shorts, pants etc.

for urine stains. Since it works well on lots of types of stains on multiple materials and colors it is misleading that the product name is focused only on urine. It is a broad-based laundry pretreatment so don’t limit the use to just urine treatment.

I have not used it for surface or bathroom cleaner. The fragrance of the product smells. like very strong hydrogen peroxide which may be offensive to some people but that is worth overlooking because the product has broad applications and is worth ignoring the offensive smell if it bothers you.

We have older cat urine smells in carpet and I bought this based on the reviews. I used a spray bottle I own to apply the solution, but I don’t think I saturated the areas enough. After about a week, some odor came back.

Still, this is the best product we’ve tried, so I must recommend it. Will try again. (The initial scent, however, is not pleasing, and I had to open the window for a couple of hours because it bothered me so much.

But the scent does fade away. ).

Our dog kept peeing on the floor and it would run over to the area rug. Each time we would get out the steam cleaner and clean the carpet to the best of our ability with the regular solution. It got to the point where we were doing this almost everyday despite taking him out for a walk right before bed.

We bought a grass pad for him to pee on but he had no interest. Finally we bought the Extreme Urine Destroyer and our problem was mostly solved. We loved that it could be used in our carpet cleaner and followed the directions to a “T.

” We sprayed the solution on the carpet AND the floor and let it sit for 10 minutes before sucking it up. He didn’t make a mess in the house again for over a week. I don’t expect him to be perfect but every night was getting exhausting.

My only regret was not trying this sooner.

We had a house sitter accidentally shut one of our cats in a carpeted room over night. The cat had urinated in a few spots in the room. I used our carpet cleaner, vinegar, baking soda, and air drying.

No matter what the smell was still there. I used the Urine Destroyer as directed and it worked! The product has a nice scent, but it was very strong for a couple days. I left the windows open and kept some fans on to help it evaporate and destroy the urine.

This can size is good for a couple of full bladder cat accidents, maybe 6×6″. If it was just a spray or a minor accident you could get more. The spray nozzle is powerful and really penetrates into the carpet.

I can’t comment on stain cleaning as I didn’t have any visible markings and had to use a black light to find the spots. With my nose touching the carpet, I can’t smell anything but carpet. I’m satisfied.

This item, nothing like it on the market. It was a As seen on TV product that Walmart began saling in rhe laundry soap area. Nothing else works like this product. Ever!!! When my elderly father had body irine issues.

I was able to Eliminate ALL the oders. from his accidents. Bring it back into the Store. Or I shop some where else.

I finally found a product that eliminated my cat’s urine smell on my couch. I wish I would have known about this product before I spent $50 on six other products before this one. I don’t know what caused my couch cuhsion to be a little sticky, but I can just flip the cushion over where as before if I did that you can still smell the urine, and it was so pungent.

As a cat guardian for over twenty years—this is by far the most superior product to clean up cat urine, feces, vomit, etc. I love the smell—doesn’t smell perfume-y like everything else out there. I’ve sprayed it on the cat beds before throwing them into the wash and the smell is done! Does the job and does it well.

Highly underrated product!.

I bought this product to use in my stepdads laundry. Just added it to the fabric softener dispenser. He’s 86, has dementia and his bedding needs washed daily. It works on human urine odors too. Also used it when my 15.

5 year old Pyrenees mix had a UTI and was having accidents. I sprayed directly on the spot, waited 5-10 minutes and then used carpet cleaner. Mixture of carpet cleaning and pee pee solutions.

While this product does what it states, the packaging of it from the manufacturer is very poor. When I rec’d the package, this product leaked. Upon inspection, the bottle did not have a seal or was the cap taped.

During shipment the cap loosened and leaked. Hope this flaw is corrected.

My primary use was to remove old urine stains from a wood sub-floor in a newly purchased home before refinishing the floor. I also wanted the odor gone to deter my pets from remarking the already soiled areas.

For this purpose, the product is exceptional. It has a mild fresh scent that does not irritate the senses and when used to remove the stains and odor from the wood floor, it’s unlike any product I’ve used.

The staining and odor came up with moderate product saturation (using a spray bottle), light scrubbing and absorbent towels. No rinsing required. It cleans vinyl flooring really well, too. I use this in my Bona mop.

Since it doesn’t foam, there’s no sticky residue left behind on the floor and it’s not slippery after drying. Where it doesn’t perform to my expectations is on soft surfaces. I was attempting to clean a fresh pet urine spot on a mattress.

After soaking up the urine, I sprayed the product and scrubbed lightly. I blotted it up and then repeated. While it was ‘working’ and air drying, the odor was intense. The urine odor was magnified by a million and it was disgusting.

After drying, while the staining was gone, the odor was still there. I had to reclean and used my trusted OdoBan to finish the job. Odoban penetrates odors on soft surfaces and has never disappointed.

So for soft surfaces I’ll stick with OdoBan. Otherwise, the Clorox works well for most hard surfaces.

This product is a godsend! I’ve tried buttloads of other brands, many at astronomically high prices, but not a single one can compare to clorox urine remover! As an added bonus, it works fantastically with almost any other bodily related stains (poop, barf, I haven’t yet tested it on blood), and many food/drink related spills.

The product goes to work almost immediately, and there’s no need to wait for the affected area to dry out in order to observe the results! Lastly, I’ve yet to find any fabric/carpeting/hard surface that is adversely affected by this product, in any way, other than that it’s a water based liquid! Seriously.

this stuff is “da Bomb” and I’ve been using it exclusively for several years now!.

In our house we have a huge problem with pet urine and feces smells in parts of the house that are so strong that they stink up the whole house; there are also all of the stains that go with it. The problem is that our biggest dog, likes to frequently go to the bathroom in the house no matter what we do and our oldest cat loves to go to the bathroom on the floor instead of the litter box.

We have 2 cats and 2 litter boxes, but she insists on using the floor anyways; again no matter what we do. With all of that being said, that is why I decided to try this spray. So far, I think this spray is a miracle worker.

The one thing I don’t like, is that it seems like it doesn’t do much unless you leave the spray on the floor for like 24 hours. On a couple of good notes though. I love that this spray is completely safe for animals, children and just people in general.

I also love the amazing results I have been getting from this product, even though I have had to repeat this process multiple times just because the stains and smell have been built up for quite a while because nothing else that we have tried has worked.

The main point though is this. This stuff truly does work as long as you use it properly. This has truly been a lifesaver. It has even helped me breathe better and makes me no longer dread walking into my house or being inside of it all because of a smell that literally makes you sick to your stomach.

I will definitely be getting more of this product.

I received the Simple Solution Extreme Pet Stain & Odor Remover to try. I have tried SO many products to get rid of stains and smells from my Great Dane starting when he was a puppy. A lot of the products I’ve tried haven’t worked as good as this! My dog loves to go on the furniture at night and clean himself.

Unfortunately this leaves puddles and wet spots on our microfiber couches. I just spray some of this on the wet spot, blot up the excess and let it dry. You would never know there was once a puddle of drooly mess there.

It dries perfectly without any outline of product and the scent is so nice, light and refreshing. I’ve also tested it on blood stains in the carpet and watched the stain disappear. I’m truly amazed with this stain & odor remover.

I wish I had discovered it sooner!.

I have a cat who pees on pillows when he is stressed. Otherwise he’s great. So I cope by encasing my mattresses and pillows in waterproof protectors and keep a gallon of this stuff on hand. It works well for pillows and throws if you do this: soak well in the Simple Solution; launder on COLD with soap and borax; line dry in the sunshine if you can or inside.

For really tough situations you might have to clean multiple times. It’s important not to put the item in a dryer because that bakes in the smell. For upholstery I spray and blot, let dry and repeat until the smell is gone.

Nothing is perfect but this works better than anything else I have tried.

My husband and I rescued a one year old American Staffordshire, and when we brought her home it was accident GALORE. I tried to get the smell of dog urine gone for 2 months and I was starting to give up and contemplating tearing out our living room carpet and putting hardwood in.

I’m not kidding when I say I tried everything. Vinegar + baking soda. Shampooed with oxyclean urine destroyer. 5-6 different kinds of carpet cleaner and about 10 different urine destroyers I could find online.

Nothing worked. You could still smell the urine. Well this past weekend we stopped into petsmart and I was wandering aimlessly around the store as one does when they have time to kill. AND BOOM. I saw Skout’s, something I had never heard of.

I looked at my husband and said “we’ve tried everything, why not try one more thing?” He nodded and agreed with me. We went home, and I went to work, spray spray spray spray spray. I went in the other room and watched a little TV, got up to get a snack and I couldn’t believe my nostrils.

NOT A SINGLE HINT OF ODOR. I will never ever buy another product. Skout’s has my money for eternity.

I’m never going back to natures miracle. This stuff really really works. I have been fostering for 12 years and it’s been a challenge to find something that completely gets rid of the smell of cat urine from soft surfaces.

The smell is gone almost instantaneously. The best part about it is that there is no perfume that covers up the smell, so you can tell whether or not it is actually working. I’ve had as many as 14 in my house at a time and you cannot smell cat *at all*.

I keep my house clean and this helped clean it to the next level. I have purchased both the gallon and the spray bottle. If you purchase the spray bottle, I’d advise you to put the liquid into another bottle as the skouts honor bottle is pretty terribly constructed to where the lid constantly falls off and it leaks.

Just put it in another bottle.

My cat could not stop going pee in the center of my house where all could see and smell. Nothing could get the smell out and nature’s miracle left the house smelling like a gas leak instead. Scouts Honor WORKS.

So now I can actually enjoy my couch and not worry. And if he pees on something else, scouts honor will stop it before it becomes a habit. Buy a $1 spray bottle from a dollar store and use this jug to refill.

Had a tenant x8 months with 2 dogs. The back part of the house that has tile reeked of urine. We aren’t using that part of the house yet and thought that maybe over time, since there isn’t any more peeing going on and we are ventilating the area by keeping the windows open, that the smell would go away.

We were wrong. Sprayed this stuff last week, and it worked!.

I received a sample with my purchase and it is the best cleaner I have ever used to clean up accidents (and I have tried everything). I have 2 big dogs who leak sometimes when they sleep. I have used it everywhere in my house.

on the rugs, hardwood floors, tiled floors. If you catch an accident right away it works the first time and the smell does not come back. Other products fix it for a while but then that “old urine smell” comes back.

On older stains I find that you have to re-apply it a few times but eventually the smells do get eliminated – so don’t give up!! I ordered 2 big bottles from Entirely Pets after I received the sample.

It seems to work on other things as well, old blankets, dog smell in general, cars. Thanks for the sample this product has really made my home a much better smelling place!!!! I will always have this product in my house from now on!.

I too received this item as a freebee, and I was VERY skeptical. I mean, it’s a tiny little bottle that states it will remove the smell of pet urine. (Psh! I’ve heard THAT before) Well, I’ve had the bottle for a couple of months, and THANKFULLY have not had to use it.

until tonite. SO I ACTUALLY read the instructions, and treated as suggested. It was a spot on the carpet, so I removed the initial liquid, sprayed the area, and allowed it to sit for 5-8 minutes. I went back, and dried the area, and (YES) I was curious so I tentatively smelled the towel.

I WAS FLOORED! The ONLY thing that I could smell was the faint scent of laundry detergent that I had used. For once; a product that does what it says it will. I guess when I place my next order of flea control, I will order a bottle of this product.

Urinase works really well for getting odors out of fabrics. We have a very senior cat who can never make it to the kitty litter box and this has taken the odor out of the carpet, bed and sofa. It struggles to remove the smell completely from the hardwood floor, but I think the urine goes underneath the boards and the Urinase has to get under there too.

It works best if you just blot up the urine, then soak the area with the Urinase, without applying any other chemicals to the area first. In my opinion, this works so much better than the other products out there.

The unappealing smell of this product was strong just opening the shipping box. The “fragrance” (which when listed as an ingredient was a warning sign I should have heeded) was nothing remotely like real, fresh lavender.

(I have it growing all over my garden. ) Not only did it not remove the pee smell from the floor, the odor of the product itself was offensive enough that I wrapped the once-used bottle in plastic bag and tossed in garbage.

(The offending cat didn’t like the smell much either, but she was back peeing in same forbidden spot shortly thereafter. ).

I have tried other pet products and decided to try this one since the others I have tried didn’t seen to work that well and smell seemed to come back and stains didnt really come out that well. I tried this one and WOW!! I am happy I did.

Clean the stain up and even used on old stains and they came up. The smell is also great. I just got one bottle just to try it out. I went and purchased more bottles of it. I just shampooed my carpets and sprayed this on my carpets before I steam cleaned them and they smell really nice now.

My 13 year old Weimaraner has started having accidents. I’ve tried every carpet cleaner, pet odor remover, the stain was gone, but the odor kept returning. The cleaners all had a heavy scent to try and mask the pet odor, and it wasn’t pleasant.
