Best How I Built This (2025 Updated)

It does the job well. Sleek and smart, and a pleasure to use. I came from a 4K 15 inch laptop monitor so there is a drop in resolution but it’s less noticable than I expected and overall I definitely prefer the user experience with the bigger screen.

The only frustration is a high-pitched, pulsing whine when the monitor is off or in standby mode. The only way to stop it is to unplug the monitor and wait several minutes for it to subside. I have my PC in the bedroom and it was noisy enough to disturb sleep at first, but after a week or so I’ve got used to it.

Excellent cheaper-price range monitor. I shelled out on a nice Dell XPS laptop and so had to reel the budget in somewhat when it came to buying the accompanying monitors(!) (especially as I wanted to purchase two of them).

Even though the S / SE series of monitors is Dell’s lowest-priced range, I can’t fault them in any way for the uses that I put them to (general computer use, surfing the web, office and DTP applications).

Bought to connect a Surface Pro to whilst working at home. Does the job. Height adjustment would have been great but it’s a cheap fix and a book underneath is a cheap solution. Text nice and clear. Not used it for anything multimedia.

Hardware Used: ASUS Prime B560-Plus motherboard i5-11500 CPU paired with Enermax ETS-T40fit (200W TDP) CPU Cooler WD SN 850 500GB gen 4 x4 M. 2 NVMe SSD Patriot Memory Viper Steel (2×8 GB) DDR4-3600MHz XMP memory 500 GB capacity drive is more than enough for me, only Samsung and Western Digital have something less than 1 TB.

Knowing that Samsungs 500GB and smaller capacity 980 Pro drives may have uncleared cache problems causing very slow speed after one month or so, I chose this WD SN 850 model with the hope of avoiding similar problem.

This is my first build of 11th generation Intel CPU and PCIe 4. 0 motherboard. Buying this SSD is just something that I WANT but not something that I NEED. When installing WIN 10 to the new PC, the first step is to copy files to the drive after product key verification.

I just could not believe my eyes that the Copying Files process was completed at the blink of my eyes. It was so fast, completed in one second (installed from 128 GB Samsung Fit flash drive, up to 300MB/s).

The same copying process for my previous builds took two minutes or so for PCIe 3. 0 motherboard with 2. 5 SATA3 SSD (installed from DVD drive) or fifteen minutes or so for PCIe 2. 0 motherboard with 7200 RPM mechanical HDD (from DVD drive).

Win 10 probably had the files to be copied read ahead into memory, otherwise even the flash drive with 300 MB/s still could not get it done in one second. That is how I can appreciate the speed of this drive, otherwise I just do not have daily tasks that demand such a high speed to make it noticeably faster than my other PCIe 3.

I will not complain here that the speed is not close to 7,000 MB/s spec, probably because 500 GB models use smaller cache than 1 TB or 2 TB models. There is always a discount in speed for smaller capacity models.

With this drive and the hardware configurations, I can compile a video of about ten and a half minutes in one and half minute, that is, in about 14. 8% of the video duration. My other PC with PCIe 3.

0 motherboard and gen 3 x4 M. 2 NVMe SSD compiling the same video took about 26% of the duration time to complete. Will buy more in the future for Linux and Win11 if the price can drop significantly.

I’ve had this drive for a while. It is amazing, only gets hot a bit and needs a bit cooling. Now i purchaed the second drive but i’ve realized that the model code on the new one was different “WDBAPY0010BNC” the first drive was “WDS100T1X0E” So i decided to make some search on internet, the products that was tested by some autohrities and reviewers on the internet had tested the “WDS100T1X0E” Also on WD product page for SN850 1TB w/out heatsink is said as the model: WDS100T1X0E.

SO now I have big doubts on this new drive? I don’t think that it is fake cuz this model is also sold by well known sellers, but what is it then? Is it a revised model which includes cheaper components that is produced special for Asia market?? Did WD do smt.

like the other companies infamous on such tricks? First produce the high performing model to be tested by everyone, then after 6 months sell the second version with the same brand name for a cheaper price? I saw some comments on the forums but i couldn’t find any concrete proof that is the exactly same drive.

Is there anything that Western Digital tell on it?.

I have been working on PCs for years, but this is the first time using an M. 2 VME. I did a lot of research online before choosing this one. I read the articles and watched the videos. Everything went without any problems.

I installed it into my M. 2 4. 0 slot and used the “Frozer” heat sink that came with my motherboard. I used the WD version of Acronis downloaded from their website. Cloned perfectly, changed to primary boot drive in MB BIOS, removed original SATA SSD, and powered up and it booted right up.

Downloaded and installed the dashboard software. Enabled game mode and bingo!, the speeds are as pictured. The highest temps I have seen during gaming so far are around 30`C (86`F). Just for comparison, my motherboard is an MSI B550 Tomahawk running an AMD Ryzen 5 5600X processor.

32Gb. Corsair 3200 RGB RAM and Windows 10. This drive is running in the M. 2 slot just above my GPU (pictured). I also updated my motherboard bios to the latest version. I hope other folks have as good a luck as I have had so far!.

This product is very fun to assemble, the colors in the instruction manual are somewhat confusing but I managed to get the hang of it. All it takes is using organization skills to speed up building up this spectacular scale model set.

The value is definitely worth it as I sign in with my account. It’s definitely worth buying. When it comes to stickers, I started ahead and went back a few steps to reduce the building difficulty and continued forward.

It took days of building (which was great), I bought this directly from the Lego Store. Want to get a set for lower than how much this is selling? Well getting a membership is far better and you’ll save money for almost half the cost of this.

As a gift, I am not sure if a person will be able to build the set, but I am sure that such a build will definitely inspiring for anyone who has the interest of building sets like this.

My boys are always talking about fast sports cars and debating which ones are the fastest or most expensive, so I hear about the McLaren a lot. This was the ideal Christmas gift for them because they were able to build and marvel over a version of it.

They immediately opened the package and shorted pieces into zippered bags so they could take their time and work on it methodically. I did provide a little help with some of finding the right pieces but overall the instructions were clear and it was not too difficult.

I think it’s a great brain exercise in attention to detail, following visual instructions, and completing tasks. It does have a ton of pieces so it is what I would consider a more advanced project than most they have done in the past but that did provide them with hours of occupation.

I like that the instructions book is very large and breaks down each step into just a few pieces per page so it was easy to follow and flipping through you see how simple it is to get from start to finish.

There are even realistic photos at the end that show it fully built and what the real thing looks like. This will look great on their display shelf and will also remind them of the fond memories of us working together on it.

High quality just as you would expect from the brand.

Bought this to hang on the wall at my shop I work at since the Senna is one of my favorite cars. The price finally dropped from over $80 to $50 so I immediately bought it. Still over priced but what can you do.

Overall it’s pretty easy to assemble and came with a couple spare parts. Now there are several parts you have to pay VERY close attention to. The instructions had me thinking several times that I was missing parts when I had actually accidentally used the wrong part to begin with so I had one less to use later one (maybe I’m just getting old and blind.

Lol). But also there are quite a few parts that don’t show you where pieces go, but instead show a photo of what it should look like so far with that particular piece already attached so you just have to go over the photo until you find out where the piece goes.

That’s the reason it only gets for stars. Got pretty frustrating. Overall though this thing is amazing and I love it.

I really Like this unit. I’m glad I went with the 1050 because I never smoke one or two slabs of ribs, its always more. The searing is insane for grilling and if you use it in tandem with a sous vide, you are just asking for greatness.

The bottom shelf flips based on smoking or grilling for grill marks. Its also large enough to put a cast iron slab on for griddling if that’s your bag. Lighting a fire is easy and doesn’t require any special equipment.

I use 2 paper towels with some cooking oil on them and I get lit up easily, every time. I like how the fan cuts out when you open a panel so you don’t deal with smoke while you work on your food. The slats help to stop the fire so you don’t waste fuel.

This unit has made smoking things very easy to the point where I feel like I’m cheating on my stick burner. The temp gauge is close to accurate, but I would still recommend replacing the analog thermometer on the lid with a better, more accurate one with actual numbers.

It’ll help you calibrate your temp to what you really need. In order to get really solid smoke flavor, you need to get creative with how you stack the coal chute. You will need to put in larger chunks of wood, small logs, and even some large chunks of wood in the ash catch.

I have also seen people use separate smoke boxes to increase smoke flavoring. Couple of gripes. They need to reinforce the feed chute where the fire is actually present. You can buy a mod for it, but it requires 200 bucks and some surgery to remove parts to access the area you need to install it into.

The app is total garbage. Its a good thing I don’t rely on the app for anything, but it would be nice if it worked. There should also be 2 FULL shelves instead of the top one being recessed so that you can maximize smoker real estate.

Make sure you clean your unit and the metal manifold as it will rust FAST. Replacing it can cost up to 120 bucks. The lid handle does not allow you to do anything with the shelf while the lid is closed as it takes up all the space on the shelf that folds down.

Finally, there is a section where the drippings get past the drip tray and leak onto the bottom platform of the smoker. I’ve also seen this on some videos where people have the same thing happen to them.

If usually solidifies and doesn’t make a massive mess. All in all, I’ve already recommended this to some family members and even with the cons, its totally worth it.

I was in the market for a pellet smoker for over a year. I finally came down to wanting a Yoder but I stumbled over a review for the Gravity. I’m not sure how to word this but this is the Swiss Army knife of grills.

I wanted the ease of maintaining temp as a pellet grill but I also wanted the ability of being able to sear at high heat. What I love about the 800 is you can do all that but get the taste of cooking over an old school charcoal which if done right, hard to beat the flavor.

Then you add the fact that it can be converted to a griddle for smash burgers and cheesesteaks!! I think the most underrated feature of the Gravity is maintenance. You don’t need to empty the charcoal and vacuum out dust every use like you would with pellet grills.

Most wonder how is the smoking since using charcoals, it’s easy and produces great smoke with wood chunks. I have grilled/smoked/griddled everything you can think of and my wife would not let me replace this grill if I wanted to.

That is saying a lot as she originally didn’t think I should buy it. If you are in the market, definitely look at all the reviews on here and check out the Facebook page for gravity. You will see a trend of all pellet users trading their pellet grill in for a Gravity.

It also doesn’t hurt the $$ is where it is for all it does. I would pay double!! If I were to give any suggestion I would look into the 1050 and see how to modify that for a griddle.

May require two people to lift as the box it comes in (and a pallet) is heavy. Everything was included so no missing or broken parts. Took about less than an hour to assemble and no special tools needed.

Everything worked right out of the box. Loaded the app on my iPhone and connected to it via Bluetooth. Updated the firmware and I was off and running, or in this case, grilling! The only “mod” I made to it was I placed a thin piece of sheet metal on the lid opening to the hopper.

The lid still seals as it has a gasket surrounding the perimeter of the lid. Filled up the hopper with Kingsford Professional charcoals along with some Cherry wood chunks and used Tumbleweed starters to get the coals burning.

Set the temp to 225-degrees and within just a couple of minutes, my smoker was rising in the desired temperature. Impressive! Plus, it keeps the temperature within 3-degrees or so when you open the grill lid as it speeds up the blower fan to make up for the loss of hot air and smoke.

Again, very impressive! My smoke took about 5 hours to complete and I only used about 1/3 to 1/2 of a bag of charcoal. When done, I inserted the air dampers which after about 30 mins, the briquettes burned out leaving the un-burned briquettes in the hooper for the next smoke.

Love it! That’s a cost savings. Everyone that’s seen it is totally impressed by it. I’m proud of my Gravity Series 1050 charcoal grill and give it a full 5-star rating.

WD SN850X SSD is a fourth generation PCIe SSD with top spec. This SSD is rated at 7,300MB/s read and 6,600MB/S write speed, these numbers are blazingly fast. As usual, typical PC gamers should always be skeptical about reaching those exact speed due to several reasons such as hardware and software issues.

However, firstly it is important that your motherboard should support 4th gen PCIe devices. 4th gen PCIe has been here for quite a while so it’s expected that next year 5th gen PCIe will become available.

The question, is it still worth it to invest in a 4th gen PCIe SSD? The answer is yes especially if upgrading your storage capacity has already becoming a necessity. The SSD comes with 5-year manufacturer’s warranty, which is nice to have.

To unleash its full potential, the write performance of this SSD is meant for PC though it will work in other devices including PS5. If you’re a gamer and specifically if you game, stream and record your video at the same time, this is the SSD to get.

You will also appreciate the performance of the SSD when you use your PC for video editing. There’s a PC dashboard software that gives us information about the SSD including firmware updates and the ability to switch on the gaming mode.

If you’re not sure about the gaming mode, just leave it on auto mode. So how about the performance? The performance is very good especially the write speed. While it’s hard to reach the exact top speed as per the manufacturer’s rating, its important to note that the SSD can maintain a sustained performance meaning you won’t be experiencing dramatic drop of speed when the PC is running a write or read operation on the SSD.

You will need sustained performance if you use your PC for tasks such as editing and rendering 4K videos. Here’s what I don’t like about the SSD. Number one is durability, if you plan to use your SSD on daily basis, performance will suffer after a few years, which is quite typical for any SSD.

The SSD also runs quite hot so if you are a super competitive gamer that relies on every FPS you can get, you may want to have a look at your PC’s overall thermal management system to ensure that the heat it produces does not affect the system.

This is not an issue for typical gamers so overall this is a very good SSD to get.

This works fine as an adhesive, however used as a gap filler outdoors it is broken down by UV over the course of one summer. I thought at first it was how I’d applied it, but I can write with confidence that this material is NOT UV resistant.

The effect of direct sunlight is to break the mastic down into a crumbly and very sticky mess that no longer has integrity. I can further state that this is not a batch problem but a fault as prior to knowing the issue, I had recommended the same to friends living nearby and with the same type of gaps to fill.

They purchased their own (albeit from toolstation but at a different time) and have the same fault. This contrasts to another mastic (Soudal Fixall) used at the same time (it was pricier so I stopped using it and continued with stixall) which has now withstood the same exposure and remains 100% durable.

Lesson learned (expensively)- Buy better once.

I used this to join marble slabs to make a large, decorative cistern for the garden. The combination of sticking, gap filling and sealing properties was attractive and the product seems to have delivered (although it will be interesting to see how it copes with winter outdoors).

In contrast to some other reviewers’ experience, I found the product to spread easily. It is not really a grab adhesive, though, with the two halves of the joint remaining very mobile for some time. In fact, the long open time was helpful, because some of the assembly needed careful tweaking.

I clamped each joint for 24 hours to be sure. A useful product with its own unique character.

As a “hybrid polymer” adhesive, this stuff sticks to almost anything and can be overpainted with water-based paint. I thought it might cover cracking paint around the panels of my garage door, that had been secured with putty.

I spread a very thin layer over the cracks. Next day I overpainted with the garage door paint. It took a couple of attempts to get an even covering of paint over the adhesive. Now the paint has dried, without cracks.

Seems to have done the job!.

Excellent system. If you have a 20 gallon system or above would advise a tiered burner or transfer pump. The kettle is heavy before you add 13-30 lbs of grain and another 30lbs of water. System comes with everything you need to brew immediately.

Just wish there were instructions for the false bottom. Everything else had instructions, I have never done all grain brewing before and there was no instructions on northern brewer website or in the kit for the false bottom.

I unfortunately installed it upside down which was pretty bad when brewing. Fixed it and have an amazing beer. But could have been a ruined batch.

For some background I upgrade from water coolers and a single pot to now three pots, utilizing the “center of gravity” for my heating element. I toyed for a while with saving some extra money and buying two additional Gas One brew kettles from Amazon.

I gotta say I’m very happy with the choice to spend a few hundred more. The craftsmanship of the Mega Pota is very clear right out the box. It heats evenly and comes with excellent valves. Taking apart to clean these items is much easier too from my Gas One kettle.

Overall really happy with the purchase. Only complaint was the lack of instructions installing the valves and thermometers. It is incredibly straight forward however it does seem overwhelming the first time you’re doing it (especially for the rookies like me).

At the end of the day if I’m shelling out half a grand for something, I’d expect some decent instructions. However with all that said once you do it the first time it’s easy to repeat for future uses.

I have no major issues with the system. I purchased the 15 gallon system because in my research people recommended to buy bigger in case you want to move above 5 gallon batches. The only issue with the 15 gallon system is when brewing 5 gallon batches the mash tun thermometer is too high.

I wish it was off set and lower. Or you can mix and match there is really no reason to have a 15 Gallon mash tun with even to brew 10 gallon batches. If I had to do it again I would price out mixing and matching kettles.

No instruction was a bit annoying but not a big deal with plenty of youtube videos to verify. The only part I verified was cutting the high temp hose to fit the false bottom.

No where besides the manual does it say it requires a separate cavity and door for the propane tank. The tank will not fit in the area below the grill because they now made a huge drip tray catch unlike previous webers.

Without having the tank in a different location the parts won’t assemble properly. Also, the trim kit is only meant to be installed around counter tops without an overhang off the face of the stone. Two good things to mention without having to dive into the manual.

Quality seems very good and well engineered and thought through other than that.

BBQ is great. TheS-460 installation manual is quite unhelpful when describing the gas hookup. The manual describes a hookup only when the gas feed is in an adjacent cabinet. This is not a common situation.

It is much more common to have a gas feed behind the grill. Why can’t the flexible metal hose go through the back of the grill cabinet, as opposed to only through the side of the grill cabinet? This causes a great deal of confusion.

Suggest you rethink the installation manual.

We purchased our 460 Built in Summit Gas Grill in 2012. The product quality does not match the high price tag. Although customer service is friendly, the warranty is not. For example, as of last night, the infrared burner will no longer heat.

Today I contacted customer service to be told that the associated parts are not under warranty. I was quoted a parts price and then would have to pay labor. Since I can not diagnose the problem to know if it is the IR burner Box or wiring, I don’t know what to do when repair becomes a large out of pocket expense.

Our grill is well maintained, always under cover but has rust and corroded pieces internally. We enjoy grilling year round even in Chicago winters. I really loved my Summit but now it has become a money pit and it is only 8 years old.

Very disappointed right now.

We bought this piece for our bathroom storage. It went together nicely and has plenty of storage space inside. Two of the shelves adjust and two are stationary. It’s a very pretty cabinet and is a nice addition to our bathroom redo.

It’s not super heavy duty but its not super thin either. I think it will hold up well and we will have this for years to come!.

Very time consuming assembly. Make sure you assemble on a soft surface such as blankets or cardboard as the tissue paper finish peels at the slightest contact. Buyer beware that this cabinet is SIGNIFICANTLY shorter than it appears online.

I have a TI-89. My most significant justification for buying the TI nspire cx CAS was the color back lit screen. The TI-89 screen is low resolution and just too hard to see. Now that I have the nspire cx CAS, I see several other advantages.

It has everything the TI-89 has, and has a user interface – most importantly, summation, integration, derivation and more can be input using the standard symbols rather than through programming language type function calls.

The alpha keys are nice too; easier to find letters and no function key needed to switch to alpha mode. If you are a student, you need to make sure the calculator is allowed on tests that allow calculators.

It’s a bit too fancy for most standardized tests. Of course, the same is true for the TI-89. If you are using a calculator to check homework, or play around, this is the one to go with.

The calculator is extremely powerful and has a rich supply of mathematical operations. It is one of the more powerful calculators available. It suffers from a well written technical manual that describes the general operation of it.

There are numerous technical manuals, but, nothing that cohesively addresses the mathematical capabilities. It does algebra, calculus, statistics, geometry with no equal. The calculator is crippled for programming except for the most simple programs and functions.

It cannot draw a line from P1(x,y,z) to P2(x,y,z) You cannot readily create an array (matrix) from within a program. It does not appear that you can call a function or program from within a program. As a calculator it easily exceeds 5 of 5.

as a programmable device it barely exceeds 2 of 5. Dik.

I got this calculator to perform vector calculus quickly and easily. As I already have a TI-89 Titainium, the CAS was nothing new and I was used to having symbolic integration and differentiation capabilities.

This was like that, except better. The color screen and pretty print are nice features as well. The 3D graphing on here also beats the Titanium by a long shot. It is quick and useful. The only bad thing is you can only plot in Cartesian (x,y,z) coordinates.

I’m sorry TI, but if someone knows how to plot 3D graphs/is working with them frequently, they are going to use the other coordinate systems as well. I am thoroughly disappointed by the lack of support for spherical and cylindrical coordinate systems in the 3d graph mode and integration/differentiation.

I tried to talk to TI cares. what a joke. Like applying for a job with them, their customer support is just as bad. No response and it’s been a week. It is really not that difficult to add this feature and I’ve debated coding something myself but unfortunately TI has made a tremendous effort to lock out users and pander to standardized tests (makes sense).

So I expect them to think of these things and add them. Any engineer there has dealt with these coordinate systems. Battery life is great, I carry this thing on me and over the past 3 weeks it is still at 75% with my high use.

I have charged it for a little when it was plugged in for < 10 min but other than that it has been on its own. Layout/menu is nice, keyboard shortcuts take a while to get used to, but you can press crtl+[trig] to see a help menu that explains it.

Also, vector calculus in the cartesian coordinate system is a breeze and thekeyboard makes entering and using vectors/variables a snap. I wish it was qwerty but then it wouldn’t be allowed on a lot of tests, and the designated letters are a significant improvement over the letter/number + alpha key style way of typing.

Overall I am mostly satsified and I feel that this product is a much better value than a $100 calculator (like a ti-84) that has pathetic hardware specs and probably costs $5 to build. I would recommend to a friend, especially if they do not have a TI-89 titanium already.

So I ordered the 9 piece Pro Series red cabinets with the bamboo work top in Nov of 2021 and was given several ship dates. Due to Covid materials shortages (understandable) i ended up not taking delivery on the cabinets until April of 2022 and I wanted to wait a few months to give an honest review after using them for awhile.

A little info on myself, I have been a professional mechanic for 30 years and have built both custom cars, motorcycles, and boats over the years and I demand the best in my tools and organization in my workspace.

I began building my “dream shop” last year and did tons of research on what cabinet systems to purchase and kept going back to these New Age Pro cabinets especially after seeing them in the shops of several nationally reknowned car and bike customizing shops on television and online.

As I said the order took quite awhile to arrive but New Age was constantly emailing and updating me on the order process delays which was really nice and kept me at ease. I had called at one point to see where we were at with shipping and the rep couldnt have been any nicer to me, he took the order number and was having some computer issues and said he would call me right back.

I thought “yeah, ok” but 15 minutes later called back with all the info on the order. That is some great customer service right there. They texted and emailed me when the delivery was scheduled and their shipper was amazing also.

On delivery day instead of dropping them at the end of the driveway they were able to load it right into my shop since I was solo and the pallets were extremely heavy to move. I unboxed them and I have to say i was shocked at the incredible quality of the cabinets, it was far beyond what I had expected at that price point.

The cabinets are very heavy duty steel panels, all quality welds, and heavy duty hardware is included. They are pretty time consuming to put together but well worth the time. I assembled these myself but I would definitely recommend a helper, especially if you are not used to moving around heavy things by yourself.

The colors on all cabinet doors matched perfectly and the fit and finish is top notch. Soft drawer and door closers surprised me as its not common except for my Snap-On tool boxes. The bamboo work top looked great and is really heavy and thick with a quality finish on it.

The shelves are super quality, i have them pretty heavily loaded with no distortion or sagging in them. The keys that were included all matched so only 1 key locks all 8 cabinets securely with a full length door lock which was really useful for me.

Aesthetically they look really nice in my new shop and again the quality is amazing. My neighbors and many of my mechanic friends spent quite a bit of time admiring them and everyone has been impressed with the build quality.

I cant say enough good things about these cabinets, if you arent sure I can assure you that you will pretty happy with these as I am. Great job New Age, alot of thought and engineering really turned out a superior product.

We decided to sell our old refrigerator, which was still working pretty well, but was starting to show its age, about 10 years old. Prices have gone up in that time, a lot. This fridge was the same exact cubic ft.

, and less features, but cost well over $300 more! So, was it worth it? Jury is still out. The former fridge came with an ice maker which we did not connect. This one did not have that. Other than that they were very similar.

The produce drawers at the bottom have a cheap, chintzy, plasticy feel, like they are less durable and could break easier. The other drawers were more solid and seemed more durable, less likely to break.

This unit is noisier, by far. It’ll make gurgling sounds for a good long time every so often. If you are looking for a quiet unit, this is not it. The layout is slightly different in that it is wider, yet shorter, which my wife likes, as she is 5’2”.

It holds the same amount as the previous fridge, but does not accommodate a big turkey very easily, which was disappointing. You can’t adjust the shelves to make that easier. The door, however is better and can hold large beverage bottles like gallons, but we stick with half gallons.

The butter storage is bigger and has a closing lid. The wide glass shelves are strong, tempered glass, but because they are wider, they can be stocked with more items, which makes me a tad nervous that they could catastrophically fail at some point if inadvertently overloaded.

So, the noise it makes, frequent and substantial, as well as the shelf configuration being suboptimal, plus the dramatically higher price means it couldn’t earn five stars. But because it works as it should, and we haven’t had any freezing issues in the refrigeration section like we did with the old one (so far), I could only deduct one star, but it should be 3.

5 stars. The guys at Best Buy damaged the entryway to the kitchen while bringing it in, even though we pre-measured and said the doors would need to come off first, causing $250 in damage, which was amicably settled, eventually, and doesn’t affect this rating, but was a concern.

The Pros: Good storage space for my needs. Well lit inside the fridge compartment. Bins inside are handy. Pretty quiet. Temperature is where it should be on this one. Frost does not seem to build up in freezer, but keeps food icy cold.

Door seal is really solid. Nice looking fridge. The Cons: No light in freezer compartment (the fridge part is very nicely lit, though. ) Difficult to clean condenser coils, but idk of any fridge where that is easy to get to.

Kick plate on bottom is tricky to put back on. Just takes a bit of patience. But i will only remove it once or twice a year to clean out the house dust behind it. This is the second Whirlpool i have owned of the same model.

The first one i had trouble keeping the temperature steady below 40 F in the fridge compartment, unless i put it on coldest setting (most snowflakes) and rushed to take items out to close the door quickly.

The freezer was always cold though. The first one also made rather bizarre sounds occasionally when running (for a few minutes and not constantly. ) This second one has a different thermostat with LED lights instead of the snowflake dial of the first one i had.

and this one keeps the temp nice and steady cold in both freezer and fridge and Does Not make cRaZy, mysterious noises on occasion and this runs runs a lot quieter than the first one i had. So overall, i’m very happy that i bought the same model and so far it’s been “groovy.

” This is my own personal experience – your mileage may vary.

I bought this dishwasher over a month ago, when the prehistoric one in the house that I purchased a year ago, started to act up. Since I didn’t need anything for a large family, or anything with a lot of bells & whistles, I was basically looking for something that would get the dishes clean and be energy efficient.

This Whirlpool dishwasher just happened to be on sale at Menards at the time, so I researched it and compared it to other brands and models that were also on sale. It beat out the others and I made the purchase.

It was quickly installed, and I was excited to give it a try. Now, I was a little discouraged by the bottom rack being so low, and just the size of the slots in general. Compared to the old Kenmore, it didn’t adequately allow for great placement of dishes, especially those larger items.

30+ days later and I’m still struggling with that. I eagerly washed my first load of dishes and was shocked to see it still washing over an hour later. This was on the Normal cycle and not the 1-Hour Wash.

I quickly got out the owner’s manual thinking it was defective. After reading about the 3 wash cycles, I was freaking out that it was going to take 2-1/2 hours for one load of dishes. My blood pressure skyrocketed as I thought of my electric and water bills.

I read into it further and it stated that this longer run cycle would in fact make it MORE energy efficient. I wasn’t convinced. I figured my next month’s bills would surely prove them wrong and I would be returning this monstrosity for something else.

Boy, was I surprised when those bills arrived this week! They hadn’t gone up one bit. Even with all the excess use from holiday baking, cooking, etc. Except for the loading issues, I’m loving this dishwasher.

I no longer fear running it and it gets my dishes clean. And did I mention it’s quiet!! It definitely does its job, without all the extras. I’ve only used the normal cycle, so this is perfect for the single adult, small household, that doesn’t mass pile dirty dishes after a week, and tries to cram them all in.

I like the functional simplicity because I don’t really use exotic features and cycles. The plastic tub, lack of food grinder and insulation features, and smaller motor makes it substantially lighter and easier to install.

The interior and racks are smaller with half the separation tines as the high end models. There is no noise block flange around the perimeter like the higher end models. So it’s not as quiet as my previous 17 YO KitchenAid but not objectionable.

Since there is no food grinder in the drain, filter screens need periodic inspection and cleaning. Fortunately it has the separate wash and initial rinse soap compartments. I avoid packets because they’re not cost effective and don’t do as good a job as liquid or powder.

My biggest complaint is the unadvertised change in water supply hookup. In the middle of installation I had go back to the store to get a 90° adapter to connect the 3/8 water line fitting to garden hose bib connector on this model.

This adapter should be included or at least list that it is needed on the outer packaging. I recommend this model if basic low cost is the objective.

Single and live by myself so usually only do one load per week and this has already failed after only four years. Cost to repair was equal to just buying a new dishwasher. Dishes still come out spotty, even using a rinse aid and the heat dry cycle so I have never been very impressed with this unit but it was the only choice from the builder as they do not give any options.

By comparison, the original dishwashers (Both Whirlpool as well) at my prior two houses are still going strong according to the new owners that bought the houses, one is now 22 years old the other is almost 16 years.

When I first moved in to this house November 2017, I thought about replacing the dishwasher then as it was loud compared to every other one I have had, but discovered the builders subcontractor discarded the insulation pad despite the bright yellow sticker on the top that clearly states “Product Insulation – Do Not Remove” in both English and French.

Note to Whirlpool, might want to add Spanish to that sticker as well since I frequently observed the crew this builder used. Once I bought an insulation pad it was reasonably quiet. But overall it is a very basic dishwasher and again, does not last very long.

This unit doesn’t keep food at consistent, safe temperatures. Purchased this as an extra basement fridge after our 20 year old 18 cu. ft. Kenmore died and instead of fixing it, we got a new one for more energy efficiency.

I wanted something similar since it’s just a second fridge to hold extras like bottled water, soda, butter, frozen foods, etc. and we didn’t need any bells and whistles. Our requirement is a fridge that keeps the temp cold consistently, which this hasn’t done from day one.

I followed the manuals’ instructions, didn’t add anything for a few days (since we threw away most everything after the previous fridge failed and hadn’t been shopping). I noticed from the beginning this fridge struggles to get below 38 degrees and rarely is below 40 degrees.

Again, this is a basement (always around 65 degrees) fridge that is rarely opened in a day, maybe once or twice. Gave it the benefit of the doubt and figured as we added more food the temp would stay lower and stabilize.

Nope, 3 months later and I think it’s getting worse. I always keep thermometers in my fridges and freezers to verify proper temps. If I open this fridge first thing in the morning, it’s at 44 degrees and the freezer is 15 degrees, there’s no reason it should be that high after not being opened all night.

It never drops below 38 degrees and rarely reaches that, most of the time, it’s 40 or above. I’m using the recommended settings which is the third coldest setting in the fridge, there’s only 1 more colder setting and I shouldn’t have to use that on a brand new appliance that’s in a cool basement that isn’t opened frequently.

The FDA website says to keep food fresh/safe it should be kept at or below 40 degrees with the optimal range at 33-37 degrees. My old Kenmore kept this temp range consistently and I never had to adjust the settings, it was always at the recommended setting (in the middle of the range).

After purchase, I’ve read similar reviews here with the temp problem. I also agree with other reviewers that the crisper bins and deli drawers are too small, especially the deli drawer even though it slides to either side, it’s depth is too narrow to be useful.

Also, there’s not as many (or well placed) shelf track options, I wish I could put the top shelf one “rung” higher to create more space on the middle shelf since the bottom shelf doesn’t have enough height for tall water bottles like my Kenmore and if I move it up one notch the middle shelf becomes very narrow.

I regret not fixing my old Kenmore and keeping it, even if it was less energy efficient than newer models. At least it worked to kept the food properly cold and frozen! Unfortunately, I suspect I’ll be using the extended warranty I purchased.

My new Whirlpool freezes everything beautifully, and all the food in the refrigerator section is at a perfect, very chilly constant temperature. The milk in the refrigerator section is icy and the half and half is evidently going to last forever, they are so cold.

The lettuce/produce are nicely protected and staying fresh in the humidifier. Great! However, this is the noisiest refrigerator I have ever been around let alone owned. You can hear it in the living room.

I’m getting used to it but I don’t like it and the cat is convinced there’s something large living underneath. My other complaint is that there is no light in the freezer compartment. Do Whirlpool engineers/designers believe that reading in the dark is normal these days? Or that you just drag things out into the kitchen to see what you’re going to cook? Amazing.

I’ve bought a small flashlight for freezer use. It’s a kind of Current Early American Edison Solution like oiled paper was to let light through the cabin window until the light bulb comes along. And in answer to the question of recommending this refrigerator to a friend: No, I wouldn’t because I don’t make recommendations re: major purchases.

I’d merely share my experiences and say that it keeps the contents beautifully cold/frozen but it’s noisy and the freezer is so dark you can’t see what’s inside. Now I’m going to go and find my perfectly frozen ice cream.

Where’s that flashlight?.

Looked at many refrigerators, but was limited in my space dimensions, therefore had to resort to a top freezer, again. So far, the temperature controls are fine, and it runs quietly, which was a main concern.

Purchased from Lowes, they had it in stock, and it was delivered in two days. the delivery people came within the timeframe given and called a half hour out to notify me they were on their way. Installed with no problems, and they adjusted the door to make sure it closes independently, etc.

as well as the legs to make sure it didn’t move. Five stars for them. Just disappointed that Whirlpool felt a freezer light was not necessary?? (If one is looking in the refrigerator freezer, you might have to switch on your overhead kitchen light–especially in the evening–to see what’s inside the freezer.

) Also, although it appeared it may not accommodate a gallon-size container at the store, without one I couldn’t be sure. It does not, so I removed one of the bars on the shelf door and I squeeze it in there toward the center of the door shelf.

A little annoying, but I guess I’ll have to get used to it since milk is a frequent go-to at my home. The bottom bins roll nicely and I like the glass shelves (not wire). I also like the textured white finish as well.

I hope it holds up for many years to come.

When we purchased this DW we were going to go with the GE Profile variant with the same feature set but it was on backorder, and we had been without a DW for 3+ weeks so spent the extra $200 for the Cafe version.

Regarding the review title, I read more than a few reviews that mention issues people were having with their Cafe dishwashers that we also experienced immediately upon installation. Soap, whether liquid or the recommended Cascade Platinum gel packs, getting stuck/not fully dissolving in the dispenser despite it being open, dishes not being clean even after the longest wash cycles, etc.

A technician came out and was able to identify the problem. It wasn’t the dishwasher it was the water supply line; there was hardly any water coming out of the end of the hose feeding the DW with the shutoff valve fully open.

The hose itself was new so basically that left the shutoff valve. I replaced the valve and haven’t had an issue with any load since. The machine is super quiet and does a great job at cleaning dishes thoroughly now that the machine has proper water flow.

My advice, if you have a house that is over 10 years old, replace the shutoff valve when you buy a new dishwasher. Our unit has the stainless finish and the only negative I can offer is it accumulates smudges/fingerprints quite easily.

Wish the Cafe version had the fingerprint resistant stainless-steel option the Profile versions have.

I’m surprised that this is a top of the line dishwasher. I’ve had it for less than 2 weeks so only run it a handful of times. Once the soap dispenser didn’t open, so food was stuck on the dishes (and I pre-scrub so this is kind of mind blowing).

The ultra dry doesn’t dry plastic. I have 2 small kids so we wash a lot of plastic dishes and cups, so half the load (mostly upper racks) comes out all wet, even with the “ultra dry. ” The tongs that organize all the dishes are also staggered in a weird way and closer together than my old KitchenAid dishwasher, meaning my kids’ rimmed plates will only fit on one side of the upper rack, which is weird.

Again, my old trusty machine finally quit and I could stick those thicker plates anywhere in that. I do like the adjustable top rack. When the soap dispenser works, things seem clean. My old machine ran a 90 minute standard cycle; this machine runs a 2 and a half hour standard cycle! I tried one load with all the bells and whistle options along the right hand side.

It was FIVE HOURS LONG! And the dishes were *still* not dry! I’m honestly just pretty underwhelmed by the performance for the price we paid for this thing. It is very quiet, but I’d rather have a louder machine that met a higher standard of cleaning and drying.

Also the handle is beautiful but if you install the dishwasher with the door sticking out from the counter (the way it’s supposed to be installed so you can access all the controls, so not flush with the cabinet but protruding), this thing sticks waaaay out from the counter.

If you use the worktop over the dishwasher, that handle will definitely bug you.

I’ll start with the good – it does a great job of washing the dishes and the bottle cleaning feature is great. I use it all the time for water bottles and thermos bottles. It’s cycle times are long – usually about 3 hours.

It’s quiet, but because there’s a constant start/stop of activity, you become aware of it until the cycle switches to smooth running. Ultra Dry works well. The middle setting not so much if you have plastic or items that have a depression at the top (i.

e. the bottom of a mug would be up when placed in the dishwasher, and water remains there even when cycle is complete. ) There were various bits and pieces scattered throughout the interior. It’s like someone just dumped the silverware baskets and clips for the bottle washer inside.

Also found a large screw (not the mounting ones) that I couldn’t find a home for. Not sure where it came from, but no leaks. Overall I’d expect much better than this for a top end appliance. Would I get it again – too soon to tell, it’s just been in use for a couple weeks.

I’m not liking how the door closes. It seals, but given that it’s just a clip I have my doubts about it’s durability. Also installation instructions were generic and parts didn’t match with the dishwasher.

Exterior rubber trim extremely difficult to install.

We got this because it was listed as the top budget dishwasher in most review rankings and we have good experience with Whirlpool. I’m happy with this dishwasher overall so far (have had it less than a month) because it does the essential job well, i.

e. clean. (I wanted to give 3 and a half stars, but it wouldn’t let me do half stars. ) With rinse aid set at almost the highest level, everything comes out nice and dry for the most part. I do wish some things were better such as the configuration of the upper tier.

Rows are too narrow for a lot of glasses and mugs, the middle row is supposed to be for bowls, and in the product images they put glasses in the rows on either side of that middle row. But in my experience, there’s just no room for your average glassware unless it’s quite thin in diameter because the space isn’t wide enough so most glassware don’t fit or they bump the edges of the bowls and you risk chips or breakage.

So that row ends up being able to be used for only a long serving utensil, or plastic lid, with space wasted. The design/layout is just not very flexible or efficient. Similarly, I wish the lower tier had folding tines to accommodate bowls like my previous Maytag dishwasher.

But that’s the limitation of a cheaper model. I also dislike the silverware rack. It just hangs precariously outside the front of the lower tier (I don’t attach it to the door because it doesn’t dry as well there) and has been accidentally pulled off at times when unloading.

Wish it was able to be more securely fastened. But, overall, for the cost, I’m okay with this. If you can afford a more expensive dishwasher with more flexible features like I mentioned, I would suggest not going with this one.

But for budget-minded people, if you don’t mind the annoyance factors I described, this will do.

We had it since 2019, and it never washed well compared to other ones we had. Bu that is OK. We have patience to rewash some dishes, even if we lightly wash them before we even put them into this dishwasher.

The biggest issue I have now, is it stopped working after 3 years, and the cause of that is the water pump that circulates the water during the washing process. Well, I understand. Moving parts wear out eventually.

But what makes me mad is this dishwasher was used only 2-3 times a month, plus we cleaned the filter on the bottom after every wash (even though there usually not much to clean), and the part that failed within a pump is a “bushing” that is made of graphite.

A graphite. ?!!! Seriously Whirlpool? This is how you design, and manufacture your appliances these days? Why couldn’t you use a stainless steel bearing, or something else over there? It tells me how cheap you have become, and no longer care about durability of your products? What else is designed and manufactured by you with the same in mind? From now on I will stay away from all of the products.

Owned or manufactured by Whirlpool. And those other brands are Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, and Amana. I am not saying that they are bad, but I know that many of your parts are used in other above mentioned brands as well, so and I am not taking a risk of buying another product that contains your failing parts.

Hopefully this review will save someone a headache, and money.

Quality – Decent build quality. I’m iffy about how long the buttons will physically hold up, overall the build quality seems like it should hold up. Features – Simple features, Which is both good and bad.

Nothing unnecessary is added feature wise, However, I do wish they added a hotter or longer drying option. Performance – Washes very well, even with the one hour wash cycle, however, it does use more water with the one hour wash cycle and used more water/energy.

The drying is overall the worst part of this machine. You MUST use rinse aid (and at the max setting) in order to get them properly dried. Even then plastics will remain wet and pool water on recessed objects will remain after drying is complete.

A longer or hotter dry cycle may correct this problem but it is a non existent feature. Sound levels – Average only. Although it isn’t too loud outside of the room it’s in, it is very noticable while running inside the room.

Capacity – Above average, the silverware tray is average, Most of my utensils don’t fit inside of the premanufactured slots. You have to open the tray and play them inside making the slots virtually useless.

On sale this is a worthy purchase, Otherwise I would wait on the purchase.

This was purchased to replace a 26 year old Kenmore/Whirlpool top freezer refrigerator. After many hours of shopping across multiple vendor product lines the conclusion reached is NOTHING is made like they used to be.

Gone are the split cantilever shelfs, heavy duty crispers, and spacious meat deli draw. All vendors have to gone to full width glass shelves which limits flexibility and reduces storage space. I also looked at side by side models in the same cubic footage size and found them to just be TOO small, most especially the freezer section.

They are all made cheaply with as much emphasis on cost cutting as possible. With all of that said I decided on this model because it is the highest tier model in the top freezer lineup, and I liked the large freezer and refrigerator, lighting in both freezer and refrigerator, and thicker heavier duty doors.

Overhaul quality is just plain cheaper than it’s siblings of yesteryear! In operation the unit is virtually silent, maintains a 33-35F refrigerator on shut off and -7F freezer with the factory default settings.

I find the LED refrigerator lighting too dim for my liking. I added the optional ice maker which works perfectly and knocks out ice every couple of hours. I found no gross manufacturing defects, no leaky gaskets, with an exterior that is finished quit nicely.

The interior crispers are cheap plastic as well as the doors shelves. At this price point and another 100 bucks or so for an icemaker suggest the unit is grossly overpriced topping $1200. I just don’t think the plastic door shelves are going to hold up to the rigors of everyday use and honestly at this price point I would expect an upscale interior.

So far it seems like it’s a good cold refrigerator that looks nice and while being cheaply made by todays standards Whirlpool has been making refrigerators for long time. I have come to expect years of reliable refrigeration.

I have an old 1977 top freezer/frig in my basement 45 years old and it runs like a top! The Kenmore I replaced was 26 years old. I suppose by todays standards if I get 10 years out of this one, that would be something.

Replaced a 24yr old same style frig with this one. Got to correct temperature in a short time so was able to transfer food rather quickly. Roomy interior and door. Two bottom produce baskets are not the same size, but not an issue.

I like the LED lighting and clear shelving which enhances the interior look. Also the door shelves are wider than my old one. Fairly quiet in sound. Sliding drawer is a nice feature. Exterior front has a smooth glossy finish (not sides or top) which match nicely with modern dishwashers and stoves.

Overall I am pleased, however only gave it 4 stars due to the freezer. Although roomy, the freezer shelf is not adjustable and appears to be bowing already. Will need to have the store repairman take a look at it.

It is not due to excess weight as I have not overfilled it. Also the freezer door has 1 area of improvement very much needed. The door shelves are not enclosed on the bottom, causing smaller items to fall out.

Not a good design, but overall I am pleased based on size, operations and appearance.

I purchased this in October of 2021. I like the set up of the inside and that you can adjust the shelves in the refrigerator or the bins on the door. The bins are nice and deep, so all those condiments and jars that typically get lost in the main unit can fit in the door.

I did not install an ice maker, and was disappointed there is no additional shelf for ice cube trays. I started finding puddles of water on the top shelf of my refrigerator. I emptied the unit and unplugged it for a day, assuming I had a clog in the drain hole.

I left it empty and within 2 hours of plugging it back in, I could see it dripping down once again from the freezer vents. The unit is still under warranty- so that is the next step. If this issue can be fixed, I would definitely recommend to a friend and give it a higher rating; as of now, no I would not.

Purchased this microwave for our new home as we had purchased the same model for our apartment. After a few weeks, it exploded and the motor had blown. The rotating stopped and we had to wait a few weeks until a technician came to fix it.

He turned up, only to tell us a part had to be ordered. Waited a few weeks for the part to be installed. The unit would grind and make noises when rotating and the plate would rotate by itself if we opened the door (so, we knew there was still a problem.

) After a few weeks of using it quite anxiously, once again, the unit exploded except this time there was a large spark which my wife only avoided because she reacted quick enough. I dare to think what would have happened had it been an elder or someone younger.

Now, the unit is completely dead. Whirlpool will no doubt send a “technician” to fix this but the unit is clearly faulty. We’ve spent several thousand dollars on a whirlpool wall oven and dishwasher- and expect better from them.

I hope they do the right thing and replace this hazardous machine which we were sold. I had trust that an American product wouldn’t let us down- I guess I was wrong!.

I purchased this microwave from Costco after seeing the excellent reviews online. I replaced a older Frigidaire microwave with this model after doing a lot of searching online. So far I am not disappointed in the ease of use and quality of the appliance.

The fan is quite a bit quieter than our old one and the light is sufficient for seeing when cooking. My only complaint would be not with whirlpool but with the information in Costco website regarding the fan cfm’s.

Costco stayed the fan cfm’s were 330 but I believe it’s only 300. It also said that there were 4 speeds but turns out there is only 2. Not a deal breaker but would have been nice to have the correct information.

Installing the microwave wasn’t too hard as I did it myself but I would recommend two people to lift it into place as it is a bit heavy. I hope this microwave lasts a long as the old one.

From beginning to end, the entire process was OUTSTANDING! My previous microwave went out right before Thanksgiving. Never realized how much I depended on it until it was no longer than. Purchased online and Whirlpool contacted me for installation.

Everything went smoothly! Whirlpool has the BEST customer service and have gained a new customer. Need to replace my fridge and will be looking at Whirlpool. The microwave is HUGE inside. I was worried about how it would look above my black range since it was Stainless Steel and Black.

IT IS A PERFECT ADDITION!! Very quiet. Wouldn’t know there was something in there if the reminder button didn’t go on. Love the delayed cooking feature. And that the 30 second button is part of the Start button.

Love the functionality of this microwave.

I can’t overstate the level of disappointment I have in this product, and in Whirlpool. I bought this Dishwasher in August 2020 – it replaced a 15 year old Whirlpool that finally ran out of steam. At 1.

5 years in, some wheels on the top rack needed to be replaced – OK, it was easy enough for me to do, so I shrugged it off to wear and tear, but now, 6 months later, the washer has stopped cleaning. It fills.

It drains. It won’t clean. Whirlpool said there’s no recall, but it is a known issue – the Whirlpool telephone rep said that the sump motor assembly needs to be replaced, and will cost nearly $300! To be clear, this model has a known issue – Whirlpool techs are flagged, and alerted in advance to come prepared to replace this very expensive part.

This thing lasted 2 years, and it already needs a MAJOR repair. It’s the equivalent to buying a new car and needing a new transmission 5 years after buying it. This thing should have lasted at least 5/6 years before needing an overhaul.

Since I’m out of warranty (only 12 months), there’s a Whirlpool upsell option of $350/yr to have a Whirlpool maintain my fast dying, moderately used dishwasher. No matter what route I take with Whirlpool, I’m on the hook for paying nearly half the price of buying a new one! What.

A. Waste. Of. Money. It’s not only a waste of money, but it’s a waste of resources, time, and there it even has an environmental impact. Why. ?Because I’m seriously considering throwing this thing away.

Anyone with a kid, that needs a reliable machine to supports a household that is impossible to keep clean – LOOK ELSEWHERE. I will never buy another Whirlpool product.

My husband and I bought our dishwasher in 2020 new from Lowes (however I do not have a receipt to show for it, unfortunately. as we expected to not have problems within the first 2 years of purchasing it); of course it is not under warranty.

The washing pump is bad. This pump costs $200 plus $200 for labor, a total cost of $400 (which is not including tax and whatever other possible fees associated with this fix). My husband and I found it more cost effective to purchase a new dishwasher of another brand to avoid any other issues that may come along with this relatively new dishwasher.

Had a problem within same week of dishwasher not working, my Maytag dryer idler pulley needed to be replaced after having my dryer since about 2019, which is a whole other issue/story. I know that I will never buy a Maytag/Whirlpool appliance ever again.

This is ridiculous to have 2 major appliances go out within a week of eachother; which is extremely suspicious. We are a busy family that rely on these appliances. Extremely disappointed in your appliances.

I ordered my new Whirlpool dishwasher on 10/7/21 and it was delivered and installed on 11/29. The so-called operators manual just tells about how to install the unit. The afterthought dishwasher quick start feature flyer is difficult to understand and doesn’t address all the issues.

An operating procedure on how to turn on the unit would be helpful without all the unnecessary wording. Explain the timer, how to disable the clean light when done, explain how the control lock functions and how to disable it.

I’ve been trying to use the unit for almost a month and every time is guesswork as to whether it will run or not. When I finally get the unit to turn on, it does a great job of cleaning the dishes. I used to write tech manuals for military electronics systems and to be sure anyone could use it before it left our company, I had one of our secretaries (who didn’t know about electronic) use my manual and completely operate our system before it left our company.

That way I was sure our military people, however trained, would be able to use our systems. Perhaps you have secretaries there who might want a break from their normal routine and review your manuals?.

First impressions only at this time – just set up the 30” unit yesterday. In a hole when the GE Profile (2006) French Door style finally had to be retired and stock availability on new was limiting choices.

Purchased sight unseen… Build quality is dubious and the QA from Whirlpool has to get better. There are issues with where the stainless meets the trims with some adhesives on show. A big issue when comparing this stainless steel to GE – it marks up very easily and doesn’t clean up well.

The door alignment process (details included in the instructions) was followed but not easy for the average Jo and results not what I had expected. Many gizmos inside but the limited door opening makes the removal of this internal shelves a test of patience! A number of the plastic moulded parts had production flashes not cleaned up well and many scratches left behind, so production technique amateurish.

One drawer doesn’t retract as fully as it was designed to do. (See other reviews which mention the same points) Not running the ice making so one less thing to be concerned with. The styling is rather angular and door handles simple and not anywhere near as appealing as the GE Profile it replaces.

No doubt product builds for manufacturers have been simplified as the years pass but we are headed in the wrong direction. Four stars is generous but we haven’t run it long enough to comment on performance at this time.

Just needed to express the concerns above and to say this is too many dollars for what we see standing on the floor!.

This is a review for the KitchenAid French Door 20 cubic capacity fridge. We’ve had our KitchenAid French door for almost 3 weeks, and I can’t imagine how we ever lived without it. The KitchenAid is a beautifully built and designed fridge that feels much larger.

This is in part because of smart design that works with your changing food storage needs to accommodate whatever you need to keep chilled. The doors have deep, adjustable drawers that easily hold a gallon of milk and other items.

The French door design with its long sturdy handles makes grabbing favorite food items easy, especially for younger members of your household- and an open door alarm alerts you when the door(s) aren’t fully closed.

The interior has been designed so that you can see/ access items easily while allowing maximum airflow to keep food at the correct temperature. The high end materials and glass shelving are aesthetically pleasing and easy to clean.

The bottle rack makes smart use of lateral storage space Other benefits are the deep bottom freezer double pull-out draws with ergonomic top down loading that allows you to access and see what is in the back and bottom of the freezer, a pull-out meat and cheese draw right at little kid level (perfect for snacks), a more shallow cabinet profile so the fridge takes up less floor space, filtered water and ice makers and automatic controls for temperature regulation.

We have been extremely pleased so far with this fridge. It works beautifully in our small footprint 1920’s kitchen.

So a few things- the placement of the filter guarantees that water will spill when replacing due to its horizontal placement. This should be fitted vertically. Second, while the water distribution button is fine, the spout should be closer to the valve button so it only takes a dexterous person one hand to operate both pushing the button and holding the vessel; as it is it takes two hands to operate for an average person.

Third, the ice unit and tray are fine; however, the tray cannot be lifted out without tilting thus risking spillage of ice, or water if there’s thaw or a failure in the water valve (we had to replace the unit the next day due to water constantly leaking from the ice maker and the tray would not lift out without tilting and spilling.

) Fourth, the egg bin will not hold a dozen eggs if kept in the store packaging…I need to buy a plastic egg holder for a $2200 fridge? C’mon, there’s enough clearance for another quarter inch of width that would make the tray wide enough for this! Fifth, wider trucks on the bottom would reduce/prevent marring when moving the fridge over wood/soft surfaces.

This is endemic for most fridges, but if NASA can put rovers on Mars, I don’t think consumers are asking too much here.
