20 Best House Phone For Seniors (2023 Updated)

I bought this for my 89-year-old mother for large buttons and the four extra buttons at the top. The good: The screen is nice and clear with big fonts and the buttons are a good size. The user interface is much better thought out than the Panasonic I sent back.

The volume rocker is useful but. (see below) The top four buttons are the reason I bought it and they great. You can use them as normal speed-dial or as emergency calls to four people where the press A and then calls all people on A, B, C, D until one of them answers.

Very long standby about 8 or 9 days The base is excellent as you can make calls to the four people on A B C D buttons and receive calls from anyone. If you can’t find your ringing phone just go to the base.

If you can’t find that either then you’ve got problems beyond the scope of this review!! The Neutral: The voice quality is not great but my mother understands everything said. I don’t know if it is the phone’s speaker quality or my line.

The Bad: This phone is more for the elderly and one thing they need is volume. Like many have said, the max volume isn’t that high. The phone doesn’t have speed dials on the main keypad – the four, A B C D buttons are all you get.

This is a silly decision by Siemens considering it is meant to be a £100 phone. Also, the ABCD buttons are really meant for their automated emergency functionality so why not put normal speed dials on the main keypad.

Now if you want to call your daughter, son, or a close friend for a chit chat you have to go through the phonebook. A very stupid decision by siemens, practically every landline phone at that price has keypad speed dials.

This quad handset is a replacement for another Gigaset which I was struggling to use, as my hearing has deteriorated, and I was mainly using the old one on loudspeaker especially on a conference call, Although slightly put off by the size of the buttons, they are easy to see and use and it’s also easier to see the letters than on my old phone.

We had a bit of difficulty registering the handsets as they all needed doing on the base station. The next issue was with the answerphone. We have a 1571 voicemail system which supposedly takes 21 seconds to kick in and the answerphone was set to auto with a response time of 18 seconds.

On that setting 1571 answered first and it took a while working out the problem. Now we have set it to answer after 10 seconds, it works fine but it doesn’t leave very long to answer the phone, although once you’ve done that the recording does stop.

The button to increase volume during the call is very useful and the general sound quality is good. When I put my hearing aid onto loop though, I got a buzzing sound, which I don’t think should be there.

It would also be useful to have a louder volume for the ring and a better selection of melodies, as the majority aren’t suitable for people with hearing impairment. We’re using the 1970s ring which is fine.

Our old phone handsets told you which one you were using on the screen – this one doesn’t unless you make an internal call and it highlights which one you’re calling from. These are all minor issues but I’m surprised that in some respects our new phones are not as good as the old ones, despite being the same manufacturer.

I bought this phone to replace the older Panasonic phones that I bought over 7 years ago. First of all, these new phones do NOT even come close to performing like my old units. The sound quality is not nearly as good, The hands free mode requires one to be quite close by, or the person on the other end can’t clearly hear me.

I can switch to one of my older phones and everything works much better. The new phones were advertised to have many hours of operation and standby before having to be recharged. The batteries have to be recharged nearly every day, and that is after very little use.

My older Panasonics would go sometimes four or five days between charges. I am having to charge these new phones two or three times more often than the older ones. The range on the new phones is not nearly as good as the older ones.

The older phones had a belt clip that was very handy, they deleted the clip on the newer models. The display stays on too long after a call is finished, unless it is placed in the charging cradle. this doesn’t help the batter charge any either! Overall, I am greatly disappointed in Panasonic’s new version.

If I could buy their older model, I would be very satisfied. “Newer”, “Improved” are terms that absolutely don’t apply to these newer units. Especially don’t believe their specifications about extended battery charge intervals.

This is the best phone system for simplicity. I have had this system for several years and needed to add two additional handsets to the system. Buying additional handsets was expensive, so I just bought another basic set, deregistered the new handsets from the base they came with and then registered the new handsets to my old base.

Worked like a charm, and now I have four handsets in my home that work off of the same base unit. These phones lack a earphone jack or pocket clip, which would make them perfect. The sound quality is really good.

Highly recommended.

November 2017 I purchased the Panasonic Panasonic KX-TGD512, and this model appears to be almost identical. All of these Panasonic models appear to “operate” identically. I’m always looking online to get quick easy directions on “how to” block a “range of numbers” or free up more space to block new numbers, as I quickly used up the 150 numbers I was able to block using the phone.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the ability to block numbers! After you add a number to be blocked (simple easy steps,) it rings one time then cuts them off! Today, for the third time, I added a “range” of numbers to block–I’ve been getting a lot of caller ID numbers that start with 011, I decided that because nobody I know or care to speak with has a telephone number starting with ZERO, that I would simply add that to the list, now anytime that “fake number” is put into that spammers calling system, they will be cut off–BAM! After about two years, because I tend to hit the off button multiple times when I hang up the phone (I don’t know why, I’m weird) the red writing on the off button is about 85% worn off, and the green talk button is about 40% worn off.

Maybe that is why they came up with a new model that looks almost identical to mine, maybe they’ve upgraded the imprinting of the answer on/off buttons. Regardless, I would recommend this phone to EVERYONE.

Stop unwanted calls in their tracks! There are companies out there you can pay a few bucks a month to that will block unwanted calls for you–and their system works just the same, your telephone WILL ring one time, then disconnect them.

When you fill up the block feature, just go in to the first 25 numbers you blocked and delete them, those people gave up a year ago! I went through my block list and noticed a specific area code coming up in my spam calls and went in and deleted all of THOSE numbers, then simply added that area code to the block list, thereby freeing up about 25 new slots for blocking.

So if you notice a lot of your spam calls are coming from a specific area code and you don’t know anyone with that area code, just block the entire range of numbers! Anyway, after enjoying the feature today once again, I thought, you really ought to let others know how great this phone is! So there you have it! Oh, I also love the ability to call my son who is located too far away on the other side of the house to just “yell out to” I simply use the intercom on the phone and buzz him.

ONE CON about that is: the intercom that buzzes the other phones inside the house so you can call a family member on the phone who is in another room–is ALSO the phone locator, meaning, if you can’t find your phone and you push the locate button to help you find the phone you laid down somewhere–it is going to buzz ALL the phones, therefore, if my son is taking a nap in his room and I buzz the phone, I will wake him up.

And that locator button STILL beeps even if you have the ringer turned off. I finally learned to stop doing that when he is napping–when he is napping if I can’t find the phone, I just call the phone with my cell to locate it.

(his ringer is ALWAYS off, it is in his room simply to allow me to page him rather than get a little exercise by walking to the other end of the house. (heaven forbid!).

like the functions, The digital answering system saves up to 17 minutes per voicemail. Other features include dedicated call blocking buttons on the base and handset, baby monitor, digital phone book, noise reduction and key detector compatibility.

I also love the range of cordless systems outside the house for yard work etc. A huge investment for us. We have an older version that we just wanted to update. Will buy again and also recommend. Great Intercom, we use it a lot , instead of yelling your wanted, supper’s ready you’re needed at a location, the Intercom is the answer.

I purchased this phone at Office Depot in Jupiter ,Florida based on the suggestion of my very capable point man Keion. Since I still have a Landline this phone set up was a great choice for my needs.

Not thrilled. Replacing previous Panasonic set. This one was more difficult to set up and doesn’t have nearly as many places to use a “back” option. Instead, you have to hit “exit” and start the whole process over again.

From what I can tell–and it hasn’t been worth the hassle to pursue it further yet–the one-touch dial and speed dial are pretty much the same thing, so what’s the point? The handsets have fewer features and also don’t include the “back” option.

Harder to read and no volume control button on the the side that could be used while still holding the phone to the ear while talking to someone, a function I used frequently. Now you have to take the phone away from your ear and try to find the small print that tells you what to push for volume.

Also, in setting it up as well as in use, it repeatedly throws the intercom option at you–which, shock! can’t be backed out of–and I don’t have any interest in using one phone to call another inside the house, so I don’t know why they keep pushing that.

The instruction book is difficult to understand and on many things it’s been easier to simply try various things and see what works rather than read their convoluted descriptions of how to use what. Twice in two days I had calls during which the people at the other end simply stopped being able to hear me.

Don’t know if I got a lemon or if it’s a more cheaply made and overpriced version of the last version I had.

Very, very easy to set up and use. love the large buttons. The booklet that accompanies the product is well written and easy to understand. The print is also easily readable to my eyes. Sound clarity is terrific.

There is some loss of signal (as mentioned in the booklet) when using the phone indoors. especially in my basement. HVAC duct and electrical wiring appears to be the cause because when l move back nearer the base unit Im good again.

All in all, I like and recommend this unit.

I purchased this phone for my elderly mother who has nerve damage to both of her ears and was recently forced to start wearing hearing aids. She could not hear people on the phone with the hearing aids.

This phone has remedied that problem. The audio output level is high enough that her behind the ear hearing aids easily pick up the audio from the handset. Operation is also very easy. She normally has problems learning to use what she calls “modern gizmos”.

This phone’s operation was almost the same as the Uniden brand phone it replaced so transfering to it was seamless. Overall a highly recommended phone for those that need higher audio output from a phone.

This is a phone that has very large buttons. The buttons are easy to read and it lights up brightly. It is fairly easy to use. Nothing too complicated, but it is kind of hard to find things in the menu.

My only real issue is that it is supposed to have a loud ringer for the hard of hearing. I would say that this ringer is comparable to normal phones and not necessarily worth the increased price for any reason other than being a cordless phone with large, easy-to-read buttons.

I do love the new features on this phone set that I did not have before. It has a button to block a call, it is supposed to still have power if the power goes off, talking ID when calls come in (can hear who caller is if close to a handset instead of running for phone),and the handsets are a nice size.

The feature I do not like is the speakerphone. It is not loud enough when you use the speakerphone feature even when you put the volume to max. My other phone was better for that feature. Otherwise I am very happy with my phone.

I have been looking at this phone set for awhile now and am so glad I finally purchased! In addition to the set I ordered. My son ordered the rugged phone for me that is compatible with this phone set (insert flier of this phone came in my phone set).

The rugged phone is supposed to be waterproof, dust proof, shock resistant, has a flashlight on it and is a rugged phone that I have in my garage and can use by the pool. It floats if dropped in the pool.

Great addition to my new phones. I just wish I could have ordered through Hammacher Schlemmer for the lifetime warranty.

Our current cordless handsets were around seven years old, and one was beginning to develop audio problems. It was time for a change, and I was delighted to discover that the HS Best Multi Handset Cordless Telephone was the Panasonic brand.

I have owned Panasonic before and have found that brand to have good sound quality and technical reliability. I appreciate the owner’s manual, and as one reviewer stated, it is a bit daunting. I wish that the people who write or translate these manuals would do so with the attitude that “this is for dummies.

” I found myself having to go back and forth a lot to make mental connections. I am a senior, and my level of being able to put concepts together and keep information straight is a challenge. After a weekend of work I had the units up and operating.

I truly appreciate the improved sound quality. I’m not sure about the voice alerts. I wear hearing aids, and I find the alerts hard to understand, but then, I’m not used to it either. Hopefully time will bring improvement to my ability to understand.

I am confident that I will eventually get used to this new system and grow to appreciate it more and more each day. I can already say that down the road (way down the road) I would most likely replace it with the same or a Panasonic facsimile.

This Panasonic telephone is definitely better than the Panasonic phone it is replacing. The range is close to 100 feet from the base, but not the advertised range. Still, I can hear and talk on the phone in my woodshop behind my house.

Electrical wiring does cause some interference in the walls at 80 feet away, but stepping over 1-2 feet solves that problem. Definitely an improvement. The other phone did not reach the woodshed past the door at all.

It also has an optional range extender for another $50. 00 approximately. Might be helpful if interference gets frustrating, but did not buy it yet.

I bought two sets of these phones for two different houses. I thought I was buying new phones from Walmart. What I received was two open box items with Amazon stickers on them. I just connected the first set of phones and it appears to be working.

I’m just not at all pleased that I thought the price I agreed to pay was for a new, unopened device – this should have been made clear.

I like the system as well as any, but the one button on the handset I LOVE is “CALL BLOCK. ” For some reason we’ve been victims of an onslaught of spam calls lately and that button is the cure! I think this model (102) is the only one that has it.

They don’t ring at the same time. There is a delayed reaction on all of them. & with the volume completely up you still can’t hear. Have to repeat always! Plus makes a beeping sound all through your calls.

I wouldn’t recommend these at all to no one.

I love so many things about this Panasonic phone bundle! It comes with 2 extra handsets that can answer/make calls remotely without being plugged into an rj-11 outlet. You can buy up to an additional 3 phones if needed for additional rooms.

You can talk to others in your house thru the intercom on all the handsets. The answering machine messages can be played thru the handset or at the base and it’s easy to see how many messages people have left you with the red number display.

You can store up to 100 contacts so that you don’t have to look for the person’s phone number. The talking caller id can even tell you who’s calling or you can turn that feature off. My favorite feature is you simply press call block button near the bottom of the phone to block annoying telemarketers or relatives you’d rather not speak to from calling back! It also can be set to block calls that show no phone number! The illuminated display is clear to see even for the elderly, however they may struggle with how to work all the features of this phone and it’s initial setup unless they are tech savvy.

The ringer is plenty loud and is adjustable with the handset. You also can listen to your answering machine messages remotely with a remote code while away from home. These phones use rechargeable batteries so don’t forget to return the headsets to the charging cradles when they show a low battery.

I highly recommend this phone bundle!.

The Panasonic KX-TG3833M 3-Handset Expandable Cordless Phone System with Answering System is very easy to set up and use. We already had a Panasonic cordless phone system but our house is large and we wanted to be able to access the phone from multiple rooms.

I followed the directions and set up the new cordless phone system and tried it out immediately to make sure it worked considering we already had cordless phones. They were compatible. I only use one answering machine so I just turned off the other answering machine.

The system is very user friendly. It came with 6 rechargeable batteries and it was easy to put them in each phone. The phones did come with clips if you wanted to attach a phone to your belt. It also came with a mount base unit so you can attach it to the wall.

I didn’t want to attach it to the wall because I feared the handheld phone might get knocked off and end up being harmed. It’s not very big so not so cumbersome to keep on your counter. A feature that I really appreciate on these phones is the call blocking.

My other phones take a little maneuvering to do the call blocking whereas these phones have a button at the bottom that you can just push and the number is blocked. With all the robo calls we receive each day, this is a wonderful feature.

I would recommend this phone to a friend since I have always been very pleased with any Panasonic phones I have purchased.

This is a good product, but not without it’s problems In setting up. I find this hard to under stand with a product aimed at people with a dlsabilty like trying to understand the instruction that are printed so small that even with glasses on my brother who helps me get it going had great problems in reading them.

Which is shame because it is good product only spoilt by a silly thing. Would recommend it, I nearly put no but hearing how it works and sounds I changed my mind.

the basic phone is easy to use. The amplification boost needs to work even if there is a power cut and batteries might be low. As i am deaf I need more volume than is available on the phone at present I can only use it with an extra volume external booster, which is not really suitable.

Super loud ring, adjustable hand set volume, large buttons and more, It’s given my 88 year old father part of his social life back. Great phone, definately recommend.

I have been using the Panasonic Expandable Digital Cordless Answering System for about 2 years now and haven’t had a negative experience. Each phone receiver has crystal clear reception on the receiver and sound doesn’t distort when I switch to speaker mode.

I find the caller ID to be very easy to read in all lighting situations and navigating through the menu is a simple task. I like that I can access all of my message from any handset, but it’s much easier to do so from the main unit by simply pushing a single button on the dock.

I have on several occasions misplaced a handset and had to send an alert to it from another receiver to locate it. I also like being able to use the intercom system to communicate with someone in another area of the house.

What I like most about this phone is that it has been left off the charging dock for several days and showed no signs of dying. I would definitely recommend the Panasonic Expandable Digital Cordless Answering System because it doesn’t require any upkeep, direct setup, and its compact.

Overall the phone does what I need. Set up was easy and I like the expanded phone book and call blocking which my previous Panasonic system didn’t have. (The old one died after 8 years). I have not used the answering machine as I have that through my phone company.

I have only found 2 things which that I’m not impressed with. First the sound quality and volume of the handsets are not as good as my old system; they are adequate but my old system was better. Second, my old system blinked when I had a message on my answering service with the phone company and this one does not.

It does show I have a message on the handset screen but the blinking on my previous model as more convenient. Considering the price I feel it is a good product.

Scenario: You have cut your landlines but keep missing calls at home and have to play “telephone tag” since you don’t carry your cell phone around in your house/apartment wherever you are or cannot hear your cell phone’s ring.

This Bluetooth compatible handset (comes in 2 or 3 handsets packages) will ring and alert you of that call. If you still have an analog or DSL land line than the base station allows you to connect to that.

You can pair a Bluetooth headset to the system according to the instructions. The only drawback is that only TWO separate cell phones can be paired at a time to the base station. Setup is quick but read the instructions.

Pairing the cell phones is easy (select phone 1 or 2 and it will detect that phone, Transfer of your phone number list is also easy). Text messaging is NOT detected only voice phone calls. You can also use the handsets in lieu of using your cell phone, so if your cell phone is in another room or floor, you do not have to run but pick up the handset instead.

Can use handset to make outside calls too (cell phone of course must be powered up and in “range” of handset. Can set up to 6 rings before the automatic answering kicks in. Handsets need at least initially 12 hours to fully charge then can last a few days without recharge or kept plugged in.

Could not find anything compatible at the competition and what was available was more “expensive”. Did not want to buy something online then have to go through the “hassle” of returning it but picked it up from the brick and mortar location to “look it over”.

Initially bought the 2 handset pack then found the 3 handset in stock and decided to cover 3 rooms for around $19+ more. You can add more handsets if needed but only TWO cell phones can be linked at a time (must replace one cell phone number with another) Like any review, what is “excellent”, “good”, “fair” etc.

to me may not be the same to you or your circumstances. For me this worked so I did not miss important phone calls. It does verbally warn of “Unknown Caller” if that number is not on transferred phone numbers from your paired call phone(s).

This AT&T Cordless Phone with Answering System is packed full of features. It has blue tooth technology which means that I didn’t have to manually add in every single one of my cell phone contacts! After pairing with my cell phone, it took less than five minutes to add in about 300 contacts.

It was even intuitive enough to skip those contacts that did not have a phone number associated with it. Another nice thing is you can have two cell phones associated with this system. There are four phones included, which is convenient for placing one on each floor, as well as in the bedroom.

This phone system has enough annoyances that I’m wanting to get rid of it after a year. First the good: Sound is decent. The bad: * It’s supposed to be “full-duplex”. It’s not. When I talk, the speaker is muted so I can’t hear the other party * The talking caller ID feature, one of the main reasons why I bought this, is terrible.

It’s not very clear, and it can’t pronounce anything properly (at least in English). I get better, clearer pronunciation in my 11 year old car system. * If someone calls and just hangs up, it records it as a message.

So I have to plow through dozens of empty messages all the time. * When trying to delete these empty messages, if I don’t time pressing the message delete button just right, the message doesn’t get deleted.

* The menu system is very complicated * If the key tone is enabled, it can’t keep up if you enter a phone number too quickly. It then will drop digits you think you entered. * When entering a number, the handset tries to insert dashes to make the number readable (area code-exchange-number).

It’s only readable AFTER the entire number is entered. While entering a number it’s hard to figure out what you’re looking at because the hyphens are in meaningless places. * Redialing a previous number is needlessly complex.

Redialing the previously called number should be one key press. I’m not using the cell phone/bluetooth feature so I can’t speak to that.

These phones by VTECH contain DECT 6. 0 technology which basically helps minimize interference between the most common 2. 4 MHz and other frequently used frequencies on the bandwidth scale. Not to mention the cordless feature.

It has phone memory that keeps track of up to 30 phone numbers, a backlit white display and fully backlit dialer pad, a speakerphone, and other neat features that make this duo handset a worthy addition to a small home or apartment.

I love the compact nature of this handset and the fact that the antennas are hidden. It’s rather sleek and modern looking. I’ve been using this handset for the past several days and everyone can hear me loud and clear.

The white and gray dual-tone makes it attractive and neutral for any homeowner. I think the only con to this headset is that it only comes with two phones when most other sets come with four or more.

However, I didn’t dock any stars because it’s still a really good value. This item is amazing and I simply love how the manufacturer was able to produce such an awesome headset for the modern times. Anyhow, this product gets a double thumbs up for me because it works as advertised and I simply hope that the manufacturer will be able to produce more phones like this in the coming future!!.

So we couldn’t wait to set up this Vtech cordless phone system. We got this 6. 0 set in white. The handsets have caller Id and call waiting built into each handset. The range works really well, and for me that was a big question and plus when I was able to use them in my small business shop area.

I frequently have to go to the back of the shop or outside to assist other clients and need to have a reliable wireless set that not only has good reception, but can also reflect caller id and call waiting when I have a client on the line.

These also have a great light display and loud ringtones. I’m extremely pleased with the handsets! They of course were easy to set up and come with everything you need to get started. For the caller id and call waiting feature you will need to be sure you have those features turned on via your service provider as well.

Did I mention the handset backlit display? They have a great light display for dialing in a low light area. This is a great set for for home or office needs. Durable and works good!.

Stopped ALL annoying ROBO CALLS immediately! They simply cannot get past the call screener AND our phone never even rings! Amazing! Call quality is excellent and easy to install. The instructions & diagram included to set up the call screening & blocking processes desired were difficult to understand & follow however.

So I just Googled the phone model number ro get a user manual / instructions and all was inderstandable & GREAT! Highly recommend if ROBO CALLS are eating you up!.

I recently bought two of these Panasonic KX-TG533W phones – one for myself and one for my mom. My phone has already started to have issues. Suddenly, in the middle of a call, the person I am talking to can no longer hear me.

It’s like the mute function is on. but it’s not. Other times, the call just drops. This has happened more than once during my conference calls. I am hoping that the other phone will not have these problems.

I did like this phone at first, but now I think it might be a lemon!.

I have had the same phone but by another company for years. I needed to replace that one so I decided this had features I wanted in a home phone. Easy to set up. Quick charged batteries. VERY LIGHTWEIGHT – making it easy to get knocked over.

When a message is left the indicator does not blank making it difficult to know if it is a new message or an old one. My biggest dislike is there is no way to adjust volume of the callers voice. You can adjust the loudness of the ringer but not loudness of the volume caller voice.

I like the callers number being announced but by the time it says the number/name your 4 ring before answering machine picks up is over. I will keep the phone just to avoid hassle of returning it. It isn’t a bad phone it just does not have certain features that I need.

Bought this to replace other Panasonic phone from 2012. Has a couple of other features than the old one, but my main issue is this one has lower height buttons than the old phone and they are much more difficult to press-annoying.

They also switched places on some buttons that is not more intuitive than the old. The speaker phone volume is weak and not as good as the 2012. Could not get BlueTooth to work from my Moto G5Plus to transfer phone numbers, so had to do all manually.

Not necessarily this phone’s problem, may be my cell. Hand set seems lighter than the 2012 model. I live in the country and use WIFI through the internet provider. They did everything on their end including replacing my phone box and new cord, can’t think of what that’s called.

After that, reception was not any better and they told me to get a new phone. So far, reception is only marginally better on some calls. This is not totally if at all, the phone’s fault, so I can’t criticize it for that.

Can’t recommend phone for my circumstances, but may be okay for city or landline users.

We bought this set to replace an older set that began showing its age after 7 years of non-stop usage and abuse (dropped, dragged and used as fake remote by grandchildren). It was a Dect model so we knew we wanted to replace it with an upgraded version of the phone system we were familiar with.

We were not disappointed. It is a tech upgrade to its older sibling, and we love the fact that it has the bluetooth pairing feature. Setup was a breeze-done in less than 3 minutes! It synched the messages on the cell to the phone, which is great if you want to do this.

Not necessary for bluetooth synching to work-it’s an option that setup will give you the opportunity to yea or nay. The noise reduction feature was important for me because of an extreme sensitivity to noise, especially background noise.

This set takes care of that nicely, no popping or crinkling sounds in the background-just nice, clear audio that doesn’t sound like a guitar in high pitch. Some have stated that the caller list feature is less than desired-we did not find it an issue, perhaps because we already had a Panasonic and were familiar with the button press system to get where you wanted.

It is not a hassle to us; it is just a matter of reading the manual, which most don’t do. Pressing “menu”, then “CID” gets you to the caller list. If I am too pressed for time to hit the button twice, it might be a sign of lack of patience on my part rather than a “defect” in the access system.

I don’t think 2 seconds matter. Just gotta read the manual and you’ll shrink your time down to 1 second if it matters that much to some. I would have liked to been able to have a speakerphone on the base unit itself in addition to the handheld unit, a feature our previous set had, but honestly the audio on the handsets is so good that I probably won’t miss it.

All in all, I love this system and wouldn’t go back to a non-Bluetooth set unless they no longer make them, which is highly unlikely in our techie age. Read, read, read the manual and you won’t be disappointed!.

The reason that I bought the (2014) KX-TGE275S was that I was originally going to buy the (2012) KX-TG7745S because of its features, great reviews and recommendation from Consumer Reports, even though it lacked some features that I really wanted, (power back-up and only 30 call blocking numbers instead of 250 like the newer models).

I had also considered the (2013) KX-TG7875S because it had the other features that I wanted, but the reviews that I read repeatedly referred to how difficult it was to set up, and to “make sure that you always have the owners manual handy because you’ll need it†, as well as it’s bad speaker phone, low volume, missing message counter, and no LED light on the top of the hand set.

Then I saw that Panasonic had brought out their 2014 line, and one of the sets was the KX-TGE275S which had everything that I was looking for without making any compromises. It is basically the 2014 version of the KX-TG7745S with all the greatness of the older model, but with all the newer upgrades and technology that I wanted.

When it arrived and I started setting it up, I had the start up guide and owners manual ready, but I quickly realized that I didn’t need them because this phone is really easy to set up. I’m not going to go into every feature, I’ll let some of the other reviewers do that, but I will say that this phone is everything that I had hoped that it would be.

It sounds great, links with mine and my wife’s cell phones flawlessly, is VERY easy to set up and use, and it looks really cool. One of the cool cosmetic features is when the phone is not in use the number keys on the hand sets look silver like in the picture, but when the phone rings and when it is in use, they become amber and the silver disappears.

I also want to mention that the noise reduction button works great, and the fully adjustable talking caller id works in every hand set. While I haven’t tried every feature yet, I haven’t found one that hasn’t done what I wanted it to do.

I wholeheartedly recommend the KX-TGE275S to anyone thinking about buying it.

i have a 15 year old version of this but I wanted a better call block feature. Sadly, the older stuff was made better. Older remotes seem stronger signal-wise, newer remotes only had 600 mAh batteries, feel almost too light, and the older buttons were classy, the newer are a little cheaper but bigger.

They swapped the top and second row of the on, off, and speaker buttons. The voice clarity is no better but not meaningfully worse. I’m good with tech and no phone book entry transfer seemed to work.

But, the call block does work and is very easy to use, just press “call block” after an unwanted call and it will not repeat. Unfortunately, call block only works on the number and not the caller ID, too.

I’m keeping it and trying to be comfortable. Recommend it but keep your expectations modest.

Ok, my 5th Panasonic phone system and these have all the latest features. Call one button blocking with code required to finish the call. Total block of all numbers listed in the standard exclude bank and what you added.

Needed changes: Dial tone very loud and volume for speaker voice needs to be higher. A head set will fix most of these issues and any 2. 5MM headset with a microphone will work nicely. BT only works on base phone.

Unfortunately most base phones these days are at the cable modem which is never in a convenient location. If you are wiring a house when it is new/ bribe the electrician to make all com connections behind your media center and then run quality LAN and Telephone cable to each room from the media center wall.

Then run one RG-6 cable and one heavy duty telephone wire to your outside access point.

I bought the system to replace an existing older Panasonic system with limited call blocking. After activating the spam blocking, all incoming calls that were not in my contact phone #’s were blocked.

However, you can block individual unwanted callers. 2nd: My old wall mount base system had an access hole to tighten the bottom screw to firmly secure the base unit. The new base unit did not. It took a lot of time to screw in the bottom screw to secure the base firmly to the wall.

Each time you have to remove the base to make the adjustment. So far, the only two issues. Other than that, GREAT SYSTEM.

8/9/2018. Updated review: I am absolutely loving this phone. The initial problem corrected itself after continued use and the phone now works like a charm. I would highly recommend this product! The phone is easy to set-up and easy to use.

The unfortunate issue is probably one of the most important. Every call, whether I dial out or someone calls me, has a fuzzy or static sound. It’s simply too much trouble to box everything up and return the product only to wonder if I would receive another phone with the same problem.

This is an easy-to-use, intuitive phone / answering machine. The sound is good and the screen, although small, is very easy to read. The answering machine / base has a very small footprint. Each handset uses two rechargeable NiMH AAA batteries (included) which will be easy and inexpensive to replace when they stop holding a charge.

You’ll appreciate this if you’ve ever tried finding replacement batteries for your old phone. It comes with a very good user manual which can also be downloaded in PDF format from the Panasonic website.

I think it is very good. Nice upto date features. Good clarity. I like the backlight on all the buttons. It is very easy to use. The menu is very intuitive. Very good quality. I had a competitors phone of a very well known and established company but quivkly realized people on the other end were having difficulty hearing and understanding me.

This phone has very good reception and clarity. You cant go wrong with any electronic from Panasonic.

I have left three messages MY GOODS saying the LED light does not show, the screen is black I can not see to program the time and date. The manual is written for telephone repair people. I can’t pick- up messages.

In other words I am very unhappy and would like to have WALMART to pickup for a full refund. at no charge to me I am very unhappy with product and do not widh to use MY GOODS again.

Wanted a phone that played back voicemail by simply pushing a “play messages” button on the phone base, which this model didn’t have. After purchasing and reading the instructions, I discovered that I had to get a special code from my service provider.

Couldn’t tell from reading the outside of the box, wasn’t allowed to open it to read the instructions, and the sales rep didn’t know. I returned the phone.

I was prepared for something small and light, but not necessarily of any substance. I have had VTech products in the past, so I knew their history of medium quality phones for a limited budget. I have to admit I was pleasantly surprized at how much this phone exceeded my expectations.

It is light, and small, but definitely not fragile (I think I must have dropped it a half a dozen times, trying to find the right place to keep the base/ charging unit). One of my big search factors was finding a cordless phone that was also a speaker phone, but without the annoying answering/recording feature.

I still have a hard time understanding why–in this day of voice mail and cloud recording–anyone would want answering machine capability in a hardline phone. And the speaker phone works well, is very clear, and has a good range–I have had conversations talking in a normal voice across a room, with not complaints from the other person on the line.

So I would be satisfied if the VTech CS67 had no other features I could use but the speaker, however that, along with caller I. D. , missed call, phone number directory, and a lighted display, are all helpful.

Although, in the interest in full disclosure, I have to say that I have not yet mastered the Caller I. D. retrieval system or the directory access and editing, both of which are simple–I am certain–if one takes the time to read the directions and follow them.

In closing I just want to say that I am pleased with the VTech CS67 and my own failings at technical prowess are by no means an indicator of anything like a downside to this phone. As far as I’m concerned, it does what I need and I have no complaints.

My very old panasonic version of this phone would not accept charge, I saw this and since it seemed very similar, I bought it. A lot of plastic and missed the speakerphone option of my old house phone.

For the price its a good buy if you want something to talk on and answer calls for you on landline. Easy set up and use. But very limited options. No speaker and volume is very low on its highest setting.

But for landline system. Works fine. If this is your only phone I would say DONT BUY IT! Upgrade and spend a little more for better quality for chatting on.

1. Base has slots on back for wall mounting with wall plate pin spacing of about 3 1/4″. Typical wall plates have pin spacing of about 3 15/16″. There is no way to mount this on a typical wall plate.

2. Purchased this unit in white for mounting on the wall in an exposed location, but the power cord shipped with the unit is black. Looks terrible. 3. They supply about 6 ft. of black telephone cable.

If wall mounting there is no room to store this much cable in or behind the base, so it hangs down on the wall and, again, looks terrible. Do not buy this phone if you want to mount it on the wall!.

I’ve been buying Walmart for year and this is my first review. I had to leave a review because of how disappointed I was in this product once it started to have static and disconnect. Im giving this product 2 stars because in the beginning it would work, meaning the first week because its less than a month and my phone has already stopped working.

Static interference and call dropping every 5-10 mins, the longest a call stayed on was 25 mins before it disconnected and dropped the call. I have fiber and highest speed available so there should not be a problem.

Also no speaker but I should have read for that before purchasing. Overall spend a little more money because I now have to waste money to buy another phone, and it has been less than a month before purchasing.

My mom is 90 and we are starting to see some difficulty with technology. I bought this phone to use as an extension to another base and extension. There was no box to click to leave a review on the base which includes an answering machine.

So, I’m writing both reviews here. This product is perfect for seniors! The buttons are large, they light up when the phone rings, there’s a tone when the phone is properly put back in the cradle so you always know that it’s inserted correctly! The answering machine has large buttons and is very very easy to use.

Just be aware that when you set this up, the extensions have to be registered with the base. They have to learn to talk to each other. It’s very very very easy to do. This is been a great improvement in mom’s life–she can make calls, receive calls and use an answering machine very easily.

You may not think this is such a big issue, but at 90 it is. If you have trouble or have a relative or friend with trouble using the stuff, go buy this immediately. My seller was iShip. Fabulous! I would not hesitate to buy this or any other product from them! The whole thing has been a huge five-star experience!!.

This item was purchased for my stubborn but lovable 89 year old in-laws. Both enjoy speaking on the phone but neither will admit they REALLY need hearing aids. They were also repeatedly leaving their old phone “off the hook” as neither can see well and sometimes missed hitting the off button.

Enter the Clarity D704HS. They were and still are very hesitant to investigate the potential of this phone BUT both know exactly how to use the “Boost” and “Off” buttons. This has resulted in a lot less “what, wait, I can’t hear you, talk louder” conversations and considerably fewer trips to check on them in the middle of a busy day because the phone has been busy for hours and we’re afraid something is wrong.

The latter was a frequent occurrence. Thank you, Teledynamics, for making all of our lives much easier.

This is an awesome cordless phone. All phones should be made like this! Easy to see, easy to use, the volume control is awesome! Pick your own favorite rechargeable batteries, and affordable too. A real blessing for Mom.

I haven’t used the answering system, but I’m betting it’s just as awesome of quality as the rest. This phone coupled with a wired ear-set is perfect. You have control over the volume, turn it up or down, large easy to read buttons, even the alphanumeric labels are easy to see, excellent back-lighting, even lights well in bright daylight.

Definitely an improvement! I’m not sure about privacy though, I wouldn’t use it for phone banking or anything where passwords or codes might be passed out on the open airwaves, but it’s great for practical home phone use.

I purchased this phone to replace a recently purchased phone, from a different company, for a senior citizen. We replaced the old phone because the speaker was poorly built into the phone. This phone has a very clear sound, and the buttons are a good size for seniors.

I also like that the phone has nine immediate speed dials with the option of adding nine more speed dials. I personally like the phone so much that I decided that when I get another home phone it will be this one.

The senior was also very pleased with the phone.

I needed a new land line phone to replace an old phone. I chose this model because I trust the “AT&T” brand. Because I only have ONE land line, the “LINE 2” button is always illuminated. No big deal, really.

All functions are “Menu Driven” and not too difficult to access/use. HOWEVER, make sure you have the User Manual handy to help with some functions. The volume control for speaker and handset is easy to use, especially if you’re are/getting “hard of hearing”.

The phone keys are welcomely LARGE. This unit has the capability of using a “Lantronics”, or similar, plug-in headset if you have one AND you can program the phone to “default” to using the headset if desired (again, the User Manual will tell you how to do it).

Overall, it’s a great phone and I DO RECOMMEND IT.

I wouldn’t say the phone exceeded expectations. I just gave it 4 stars because it’s what I had hoped. Granted, I have not read the instruction manual thoroughly, but the phone is not all that easy to use.

I have trouble remembering how to access “New Calls” to review phone numbers of missed calls while I was out and to be able to delete the numbers when they’re SPAM. When I go through the review of calls, I keep ending up having the phone start to dial the number on the screen, when I’m just trying to see the next call number.

I only have one landline with one phone number, but this phone has a line 2. Is the purpose for ‘call waiting’? I haven’t figured it out yet and why the same numbers come up in a review of new calls for both lines, which means deleting a second set of the same numbers.

I hope to figure it all out soon.

My mom really likes this phone and is comfortable with how to use it. She can hear much better when she uses the amplification boost and that helps give her more confidence when she has to talk on the phone.

It was pretty easy to set up and the book helps guide you through all the different set up features. Good sound without distortion, even with the amplification on. Very satisfied.

Happy with this purchase. It should meet the needs of my mother who is hearing impaired. Also it should age with her as she does not yet need the amplifier button but most likely will in the next few years.

She is very happy that the buttons are white with black writing since as she has aged she has developed poor eyesight and thus has great difficulty seeing devices where the background is black and the print white.

Only problem has been that I needed to buy a 15ft phone cord vs the one supplied as the location she wanted the phone was further than the fairly flimsy cord would reach.

did the job for my mom with macular degeneration and hearing deficiencies. She is now able to make her own phone calls instead of asking someone to dial. i like that it provides audio as well when dialing the numbers.

Transmit quality seems good. The receive quality could be better but can made quite loud.
