20 Best Hot Tub Thermal Blanket (2023 Updated)

We have to order a new pool solar cover every 2 years for our in ground pool. This year we ordered one but forgot to include the dimensions for the step bump out. This left the steps open for heat to escape.

This spa cover works perfectly. We cut it in half and easily place it over the water on the steps that bump out. The cover seems durable enough for it to last 2 years. With the other section- may get 4 years out of this oops.

This cover is great. It floats well and stays in place. We had ordered a different brand previously that was more expensive and it would sink all the time and not float well. In fact my wife literally had to sew with fishing line a foam floaty to one end to keep it floating and it disintegrated into 100’s of circles.

We are very pleased with this one, none of the other problems the other one had. We will get this one again.

Got with the hot tub for cheaper together. Once i know how n when to use this im sure it will be great. Do i use it with the snap on cover for spa with both as covers. Idk? Do i use it with the snap on cover off? Since its a solar cover and you use those with the sun to keep water warm.

Idk? But if they want you to have your spa covered from the sun i am not sure n confused. So, i havent used it yet.

I bought this for use with lay-z-spa Helsinki. This “hood” is pretty thick, one could compare that material to a soft-walled cooler bag. It comes with an extra inflatable round lid, and together fit very well into that model.

When the frost heats the whirlpool there to 38 degrees then the temperature outside this shell stays quite close to zero. The most obvious difference from the previous one will be noticed at the stage when you take this shell off.

The jacuzzi under it is about 25-30 degrees warm, which means that heat loss has really been left under this Hood and a lot. An affordable solution to bring extra insulation to the hot tub, a better conscience when not so much electricity goes to the magpies.

The only downside is that there will be no separate hood for the pump unit, i. e. it will still be left at the mercy of the weather.

The cover works great and looks great. Its tough to remove and install but you have to expect that. Keeps my cheap hot tub warm all winter. And that’s no easy feat in Minnesota.

Its not easy to remove for one person but thats ok. It feels more secure that way and the extra side lengths help with insulation. I used to put extra blankets on my tub before

I’ve been using an old warming blanket for a few weeks, and it barely gets warm on the highest setting. I turn it down to low, and the only warm place in my bed is where my body is. So. I did some research, and discovered this Beautyrest blanket was given 4.

5 tp 5 star ratings by the “experts. ” I ordered it in gray, since It won’t be seen during the day, and it will always look neat. If you want a true gray, this is not it, but it’s not a bad color – more dark taupe.

I tried out the preheat, and within 15 minutes the bed was toasty warm; the next night, I set it at 20 about 45 minutes before I went to bed. It was fantastical!! My bed was warm and cozy everywhere.

even when I turned it down to the lowest setting, the entire blaket heats the entire bed. I haven’t had a warming blanket that worked so well, well. ever!! I love the ribbing; the other side is a soft fleece.

I was also amazed that this blanket is BIG!! All the electric blankets I’ve had since I was a kid barely covered the top of the mattress. This beauty comes down 10″ on each side with plenty of room on the bottom with the top 4″ to 6″ longer than the old blanket.

To the reviewer who was upset with the controls, I understand. I just find that I can feel the up and down buttons. but I rarely change the temperature once I set it before getting in bed. I never thought I would write an essay about an electric warming blanket, but this one deserves it.

Oh, and though it was over $100. 00, it is worth every penny. just please last for several years. PLEASE!! If you’re on the edge, try this blanket. If you can deal with the controls, the blanket is the best.

I researched heated blankets online. Some of the major brands got horrible reviews so I went with brand a model. I was even willing to pay a bit more because silly me thought I was getting a better product.

I bought this blanket in May. less than 6 months ago. The controller now shuts off after 1 hour no matter the setting. Very frustrating. BB&B takes no returns after 90 days. I’ve sent an email to Beautyrest as there’s supposed to be a 5 yr limited warranty.

Paid almost $200 for this blanket and it’s trash. My advice? Try something different. I would give this NO STARS but I had to pick at least one.

I have fond memories of a cozy electric blanket from my childhood, so I wanted to give one to my child to enjoy as much as I did. Upon first opening the package, it was clear that the Beautyrest blanket is far superior to the “old school” heated blankets that I recall from my youth.

It is extremely soft and comfortable, even without the heat. The material is luxuriously thick microfleece, so it hides the thin wires well within the blanket. The controller is easy to operate, and it allows you to choose from 20 different temperature levels.

I love the fact that they built in auto shut-off capabilities, so I will never experience that dreaded feeling of panic as I try to remember whether I shut the blanket off before I left the house. I am also delighted to report that the blanket is indeed machine washable! To summarize, this blanket is everything I expected and remembered, but better.

Snuggling up with a warm blanket on a cold night is absolute bliss. I do recommend buying enough of them for every bed in your house, just to save yourself time, because every single person is going to want one.

I am buying several to give as holiday gifts. It is a gift that will continue bringing happiness and comfort every day, even after the holiday season is over!.

I was super surprised at how soft this heated plush blanket is! It’s like a cloud on the bed! Love the separate controllers on each side that let’s each person determine the perfect heat settings. It’s light weight and not heavy love that part as well.

Makes it easier to turn in bed without feeling confined to one spot on the bed. The color is brilliant the which I have deep purple and the overall design and quality is perfect! The heated plush blanket gives the perfect heat to each side of the bed.

I adored this blanket at first. The color and the feel were fantastic. Luxurious. But it stopped working after one washing. This has happened with 95% of the electric blankets I’ve owned. No amount of delicate care when washing can seem to prevent it.

Someone needs to come up with a better way to keep the mechanism safe through a washing. So, really, this blanket is above average in that it’s soft and beautiful, and average in that you can’t wash it.

The controller is not backlit, the control switches are very small tactile domes, and the switches do not have an raised emboss so the controls are very hard to use in the dark. Also, the material makes the blanket very slippery and it’s usually necessary to remake the bed at least once over the course of the night.

Somehow this blanket causes the upper sheet to migrate to the right side of the bed while the blanket migrates to the left side. Often enough, the blanket migrates far enough to where I wake to find myself under the unheated side section of blanket.

While the blanket works well enough while centered, it interrupts sleep by having to remake the bed once, twice, or sometimes more during the course of the night. I will not buy another similar product.

Purchased the BeautyRest electric blanket 1/20. Delivered on 1/16/20. Used the electric feature for approximately 8 months total. Mid February 2021 one of the controls malfunctioned and will not heat blanket and also will not turn off.

Instructions from manufacturer says I must wash blanket then return everything to them at my expense. Plus I have to pay for return postage. One control works perfectly on either side. Seems totally ridiculous that I have to return everything at my expense.

A $360. 00 blanket should last years. Will never buy another BeautyRest blanket.

I like the 20 settings and I like the lightness of the blanket. However, if you care what it looks like on the bed, you should know that the ribbed side they show in the picture online is the bottom.

If you turn it so that the bottom is on top, then you will be displaying the very large label and the plug in. If you turn it so that the non ribbed side is on top then you see the back side of the hem.

I’ve attached the picture. Maybe it is just a bad batch out of the factory and yours will be fine. If you plan to put it under a bed cover, then you won’t care either way. The second thing that I’m not crazy about is that the number display is very hard (too low lit) to read unless you are looking at it in good light.

It is very difficult to read in the dark. I have to put on my glasses if I want to change it during the night. The third thing is that it is impossible for me to unplug it to wash. If I didn’t have my husband to unplug it, I would have to just give up.

He doesn’t think it is that bad. I even tried to put a pair of pliers on both ends and pulled that way knowing that the company wouldn’t replace it if it went bad and it had all the pliers teeth marks on it.

There is a clip that you push down while you pull which of course I was doing at the same time. During the time I was trying to get it apart that clip just broke. It didn’t matter to me because if it won’t come apart while I’m pulling on it, it sure doesn’t need the clip to stop it from coming out on its own.

The only problem with the broken clip is that may be another reason they would not replace it if it went bad. You also should know that the company is clear that any blanket returned with any pet hair will not be covered or accepted.

So if the blanket stopped working or you just don’t like it and it has pet hair on it, (especially if you could couldn’t get the plug out to wash it) then you are out of luck. Having said all that, like I said earlier, I really like the low settings where I can leave it on all night without getting too hot.

A #5 keeps me comfortable all night. And I was looking for a very light weight electric blanket and this fits the bill.

I purchased the red one in twin size and I was expecting that it would be too small and that I would have to return it, but it is almost as big as a full size, the color is beautiful, the controls work, the whole blanket heats up perfectly and it is supremely soft! I love it.

I am keeping it. I read a lot of reviews on other sites that this blanket in particular stops working after 6 months and the that the control heats up way too hot. I will come back in 6 months and let you know how it goes! This blanket does shed a bit.

I have bought over 6 pool covers and other companies/ covers last at least 3 year and this was the worst and fell apart after 1 year. Bubbles started cracking after 1year. Bubbles fail because of chemicals??? Yes chemicals are in pools and how do they know my pool is not correct.

I have a pool service every week. So you suppose to rinse the top of the cover with fresh water every time you take it in and out of the pool. Makes no sense garbage. In the swim response: Bubble damage is not covered under warranty, because the manufacturer did research at the end of 2015 with their covers to try and figure out what causes bubble damage.

The most common reason they found was a chemical issue with the water of a customer’s pool. Whether it is a constant balance issue or an issue that happens just once, once chemicals deposit on a cover it stays there until clean fresh water washes it off.

Chemical issues with covers has never been covered under warranty, so in January 2016 they discontinued covering bubble issues under warranty.

We are long time In The Swim customers and have bought numerous solar covers. First, ITS did give us a new cover once when our new purchase was delaminated coming out of the box. Second, we know that the seven year warranty is a joke.

If you get 2-3 seasons you did OK. You might get one warranty coverage but no more. Three, this is absolutely the worst cover we have ever bought. It appears that the three pieces were not laid out flat when they were joined together.

This cover has been on the pool for a couple of weeks. It is not going to lay flat. To roll it up you have to go from one side of the roller to the other, perhaps 25 times to roll up the 32 foot length, pulling it out to each side again and again.

If you don’t, it will go to one side, have all the folds roll onto each other and make the final rolled product too large to fit on the roller. I suspect that there may only be one company in the world manufacturing these and that company provides all sellers.

In spite of that I will try another dealer next time.

The product works as expected. I have used solar covers for several years and this works fine with about a 5 degree advantage (primarily due to preventing heat loss during the night). It is a little thinner than my previous cover so its heat retention is not as robust but it does as advertised.

The thicker cover gave me an 8 degree advantage. My biggest complaint was the delivery delay. They simply did not contact me and tell me the product would be delayed. I called two separate times and was told the product had been delayed — but their email communications were nonexistent.

Initial delivery was supposed to be 5 days — it took 5 weeks. Fortunately, I had planned ahead but it did delay the pool use by 2 weeks. I would recommend the product but not the company and will return my business to a previous vendor.

This heated throw is SO soft and comfortable! My kids and I use it every day! It fits two of us comfortably! It’s a very pretty emerald color! I like that it has a low, medium and high switch. You do have to be careful to keep the blanket fairly flat because when it’s bunched up, it will get pretty warm in some spots.

It comes with instructions on how to use it (not that you need it, but it’s all good information to know, for safety purposes!) We love it and can’t wait to use it all winter long!.

I bought this heated throw a few weeks ago because I HATE being cold! I finally got to use it last night and it was amazing!! I absolutely LOVE how soft this throw is!! The heating element on it is amazing! It gets nice and toasty!! It also has a low setting to so you don’t over heat.

I bought this blanket in August when I bought my new bedding because it matched and I needed a new heated blanket. It worked great… for about a month and a half. Now every time I plug it in it just blinks.

At first I was able to plug and unplug it a few times to get it to work for a little bit. Now it doesn’t work at all. Incredibly disappointing because it certainly wasn’t cheap.

This was the best money spent on the up keep of my hot tub. The Blue Wave Solar Blanket gives you the most for your dollar. It’s easily cut to fit exact size and shape of hot tub. It literally brought down my heating bill and saves me money.

It keeps my hot tub nice and hot through the night by keeping the heat in from the day. Will always buy from them in the future.

Getting the spa set up was very very easy, and the instructions were helpful as well. One thing tho’, we weren’t able to get it to heat up, but had to unplug the unit and reboot so to speak, then all went as prescribed.

We love it, it is comfortable, it is warm enough and cushy to sit in! Ease of set up was great, not too heavy or cumbersome, and the product is heavy duty, with safeguards (locking lid) for children to not get into it!.

We needed a replacement inflatable hot tub cover to put on our Coleman Saluspa which was unavailable anywhere. So, we took a chance on the WAVE spa cover to insert inside our cover. Initially, we mistakenly ordered a 4 person inflatable due to the measurements (which we would love to return for a refund).

Our second try with the 6 person was a near perfect fit. Great to know Coleman owners! We are extremely pleased.

I bought the wave spa cover as the original Canadian sap cover developed a puncture on a seam. I repaired the hole with a specialist patch before storing for winter but taking it out this year, the repair has failed.

Wave spa was a really competitive price & much more cost effective than an original replacement, fits just as well & slows down heat loss well. Overall, very happy with the product & highly recommend Wave spa for their customer service & excellent delivery time.

Purchased an inflatable cover for my 6 person Wave Atlantic but the first one had a small hole in one of the joints. However Wave customer service is very good and they had a new one sent out to me almost immediately and that is perfect.

It fits like a glove and is great for putting in place during the day when you may be in and out a few times in the day. Can’t comment on its thermal properties yet but it’s got to be better than just the black cover.

Makes a big difference to keeping the temperature up and to the time it takes to reheat when we’ve refilled our tub after a drain and clean. It looses a little air and requires a little top up every 3-4days but that’s easy to do with the mouthpiece valve.

I’ve noticed that the inner side requires a clean pretty much everything we clean out our hot tub. Essential bit of kit for your hot tub, wouldn’t be with out ours.

I am really impressed by the speedy delivery and the good quality of service. My inflatable cover arrived very quick and I am delighted to say it was well worth the purchase as it keeps the spa water temperature warmer for longer and saves on electricity bills.

It is easy to pump up with a foot pump and fits perfectly in the hot tub. On a funny note , I have just used it as a blanket whilst sitting in my hot tub relaxing, keeping warmth in. Great purchase which I highly recommend.

We didn’t have one of these for our old spa – my goodness what a mistake that was! This not only gives better support to your cover, it also makes a significant difference to temperature maintenance.

I forgot to turn the spa heating element back on two days ago, following a filter change, and the spa only lost 1. 5 degrees over 24 hours!.

3 starts because it fits my spa perfectly! Does not come off in the wind and works exactly as described, however didn’t last beyond a year. This is my second, as I bought my first one on Wayfair for $95 Sept 21, 2015.

I live in the SF Bay Area, so the sun is really not a big issue here. However, this has worn to the point of the corner seams coming apart now. It’s dried out and sun beat! It didn’t really even last the whole year, but still working ok I guess.

I did buy another one here on Amazon today. Since I just bought a brand new cover for my spa this year and funds are tight right now. I don’t think it will hold up with intense heat. It is a tarp after all, and it will break down in the heat for sure in a year or less.

Still a cheap solution. I think I will look into buying a real spa cap next year. Best of luck to all. I still consider it a good low budget solution for sure.

We purchased this to protect our more expensive insulated cover and it has lived up to our expectations. In the 5 1/2 years of usage it has only blown off one time. The band around the edge has never lost any elasticity however it’s installed at a second home where it may not get as much on/off use as it would at a full time household.

I just ordered a replacement because it’s showing signs of wear and tear but we’re sticking with the same brand because of it’s quality and price. We are very happy customers!.

Not happy with this cover. The elastic broke the first time we removed the cover on cold weather to use our spa so it doesn’t fit snug anymore. This defeats half the purpose of the cover as it no longer a barrier against the cold.

Can see steam escaping around the edges when it’s windy. We’ve also had to put bricks on it so it doesn’t blow away. Material is very stiff/brittle when it’s cold so can’t fold it when it’s off. The only purpose it is serving now is to protect our main spa cover from sun damage.

Fabric in my case begins to deteriorate in 5/6 weeks. Deterioration shows up as a white discoloration that starts blotching in the cover to outside elements. When you touch it the fabric in the white spot area is brittle and dust off.

I’m trying to slow the process by using spray glue to help seal. See pic.

I purchased this cover in November 2017 by May 2018 the cover dry rotted and split from the sun. It has little white particles that is so bad it flies all over the place when you take it off and of course blows into the hot tub water.

It is very thin and not practical at all for what it is used for. I do have it in a fenced in area where no animals come in contact with the cover.

Probably not bad for indoor use. Put cover on outside application Tried to pull tight to keep off surface of the water no luck. Bought a 48″ beach ball floated and recovered worked well for a few weeks.

I was out yesterday doing cleaning and noticed seems separated.

I bought this because of its 5-year warranty. The bubbles on my old one (not this company) deteriorated after a year and filled the pool with blue specks. But the “five year warranty” on this item basically covers seam separation and specifically does NOT cover bubble deterioration.

After two years it’s a pro-rated warranty. I’ve only had it a couple of months and it seems fine but I can’t really comment yet about its durability.

We bought the 8-mil cover for our 12-ft Intex above-ground pool. It works FANTASTIC. Not only does it keep bugs and airborne debris out but it heats the pool much warmer than the cheapo Intex “solar” cover we used last year and it doesn’t sink into the pool but floats on top.

After only 1 week of having the cover on in full sun the pool temp went from chilly to bath water warm. The cover is basically blue, extra thick bubble wrap. One side has bubbles and the other side is smooth – the smooth side is what you want touching the water as the water tension on the smooth side will keep it from being flown away by the wind.

We’ve had some very strong wind storms and it has stayed in place. Just to be safe we bought a 50ft polypropylene rope we cris-cross across the top of the pool when the cover is on. I highly recommend.

My only complaint is that it is slightly oversized for our 12ft pool but I still give it 5 stars.

My wife loves the solar cover. she says that the pool is the warmest that its ever been. When other sellers were out of stock of solar covers BJ’s came through for us. It took five days to arrive but arrive it did.

It came with its own storage bag too. The price was very affordable compared to other sellers. We are very happy that bj’s had this great product. Covid19 has caused a run on pools and pool supplies.

We’ve been searching for a durable, waterproof cover for our hot tub cover for a number of years. In the NY winters we add a sheet of insulation on top of our hot tub cover and have been covering it with a tarp and holding the way-too-big tarp with a rope and 2x4s to keep it from blowing.

The square Hot Tub Cover Cap Ultima Ripstop has transformed our situation! It is a perfect fit over the extra insulation. It is waterproof, so far. It feels like it will last and it has drawstrings to cinch down, holding the whole thing nicely and neatly.

We have had some windy storms and the cover blows up slightly, but not much. No more tarp, 2x4s, rope, messy appearance, time spent removing all of this when we use the tub. We couldn’t be happier with this product!.

My hot tub has a bracket kit and this fits perfectly over it. Even if I did not have the kit, the cinch allows you to pull this cover snug. Some reviews say it’s too big but I imagine the sizing is intentional for those who have brackets, otherwise it would probably be too snug.

Quality is great. I will definitely be purchasing outdoor patio furniture covers from this company. FYI…the photo I snapped is without cinching the cover so you have an idea of the fit as is over the brackets.

This is my second cover. Identical to the first one which lasted 6 years and is still useable but I wanted to refresh it. It gets a little stiff over time and will crack in small spots but it took about 4 years to do that.

The color is great and it protects my insulating hot tub cover so it will last and last. It’s the perfect size for my80″ hot tub. The length/depth is perfect. It’s sufficient to go down the side of the tub without a lot of material that would make it bulky when you take it off.

I highly recommend this cover! And no, I wasn’t compensated for this review.

As always, my experience with my patriot supply is the best. I’ve been using these blankets for covering garage water heater, layering over exposed plumbing in well house, as well as wrapping well house water holding tank.

I bought these extras to triple up and wrap two, 250 gal propane tanks starting next winter. After measuring the tanks, they’re the perfect size. Hopefully the tanks will maintain adequate propane levels during the next cold winter spell.

I ordered several of these Thermal Blankets as part of a bigger order. I am very pleased with the quality of these thermal blankets. I am putting together an emergency kit for my son’s office personnel.

We live in California (earthquake country) and these blankets will definitely be part of this kit. In the near future, I plan to add them to my and my wife’s emergency car kits. A definite upgrade to the mylar blankets we currently have.

These are great for multi uses and handy tarp like rings for hooking tie-downs. They are thermal in the sense they hold in heat – better than a bulky blanket. Easy to store away. You are only limited by your imagination.

Everyone should have a couple of these on hand per person. Great for hunting and shelter. I don’t like tents so these would make a great lean-to.

Very nice product. The reflective fabric really works and the fleece lining is comfortable. One drawback is that the cord locks are quite weak. They work but I plan to replace them.

very nice as poncho, wrap-warmu-up-thingy and also as a underquilt for your hammock. But because of the waterproof outershell you have to accept some condensation issues (or at least accept some “humid feel” in it).

Waited 8 weeks and it’s nothing like the first one we had. It doesn’t have full length seal across, corners barely cover and aren’t even sewn together. I was looking for more energy efficient not less.

We tried a cover from another vendor-thought we would save a few $$. It did not hold up as well as our first Master Spa cover, so we are back. Haven’t received the new one yet, but to be exptected. they take 4-6 wks to manufacture.

The only thing that wasn’t “Great” was the extremely long shipping time. 7 weeks.
