16 Best Hot Pot Soup Base (2023 Updated)

I love this no-chicken broth. I’m using chicken broth less and less these days, and this is the perfect replacement. What’s the difference, you ask, between vegetable broth and no-chicken broth? The basic difference is that the veggie broth contains tomato puree and mushrooms, while the no-chicken broth has no tomato products or mushrooms, so it just depends on the flavor you’re going for.

I love both, I just tend to use the no-chicken broth more for things I would normally use chicken broth for. Lol. As always, I trust Pacific Organic products a lot.

I was so surprised what chicken broth was actually supposed to look like. I had been previously using popular brands of chicken broth & occasionally in a pinch, a store brand. When you compare the products you are made aware of how watered down the other brands are.

Besides how it looks. you can tell the difference in the end results too. Since trying this line of chicken broth, I have not used any other brand. Low sodium is a way to reduce the sodium without compromising on the taste.

We have used this product for years. Used to buy from BJS, but they’ve discontinued it. OF COURSE, if it’s a staple organic product, they eventually will always discontinue it!! I was so grateful to buy it in so many “packages” at such a great product.

Had already ordered it at a slightly higher price by the case from my co-op, but after 3 1/2 weeks of waiting with no idea when it would finally show up, we ordered it from Vitacost and it arrived in 2 days! YOU GO, Vitacost!!!.

Really good. My 6 year old son loves this. He is a huge fan of homemade beef stew, so when I have no more left or don’t want to make it. I use this! He can obviously tell the difference but he still enjoys it highly! I’ve tried, and the meat was SURPRISINGLY good.

I’m always afraid beef stuff will be like dog food ( IK, I’m weird!) But this is amazing. You can tell what cut of meat it is, and it still has texture, and taste. Really flavorful. One of the top soups in my household, along with the chicken and dumpling (creamy)!!.

When you’re craving mom’s cooking but can’t have it, this is a great quick fix. Add it as a topper to some mashed potatoes and yummmmmm. The meat is perfect. I feel like every time I eat a pot roast the meat gets stuck between my teeth because of the texture.

That did not happen with this soup. Maybe because it’s been marinating in liquid for who knows how long; either way, the experience was just as stated on the can, hearty. What I love about soup is they can be used to make different meals, easily stretched to accommodate more servings or eaten straight from the can after a hurricane and there’s no power.

We love our soup here in Florida.

The beef pot roast and country vegetables flavor is a classic. It is pretty good for a canned soup. I prefer to make mine on the stove for optimal textures. It is very affordable and one can makes two servings.

I trust this brand to make good products and I enjoyed trying a new flavor from them. Easy open lid! I would recommend this to anyone who loves a quick soup. I will be buying this again, but I have other flavors that I prefer.

This product took me by surprise! i have always used the oxo brand therefore found myself comparing the two, but it was not long before this product had exceeded that comparison. the flavour of this product was extremely rich! the way it had been sealed meant it was complete fresh! few of my family and friends have now also switched to this brand from oxo.

After reading mixed reviews, I thought I’d side on the positives, big mistake. We’re huge lamb stew fans in our house, and despite having your own set ways of making certain meals – as we do – decided to try these.

Absolutely did not do it for us, it was far too salty and literally ruined the stew. This maybe down to us liking things a certain way, and some people may use it and not taste as much salt as we did, but for us personally, it’s a no.

Wouldn’t buy or recommend, perhaps you’ll have a better experience.

Thought I would try this as a change from my usual stock cubes. What a difference ! Good to use in casseroles for richness and more intense flavour, but added depth of flavour to gravy for the Sunday roast.

The addition of herbs in the pot are an added bonus. Quick and easy to use, and you decide how much liquid you want to add if you want to make a lighter stock. Added bonus its gluten free too !.

I’m just tired of getting badly dented cans. Almost every week now I have canned goods that have to be thrown away. I don’t meant just a little dent either. The people that are pulling the groceries for pick up should know better than this.

This is my favorite quick meal. I LOVE soup so having a really good soup I can throw in the microwave when I’m in a rush or don’t feel like making food is the best. The flavor is perfect and the amount of potatoes in it is great compared to other brands I have tried.

I like to stock up on these whenever they go on sale because the flavor is very rich and delicious. I really like all of the varieties. This is my favorite brand of soups. They are affordable and taste delicious! Overall I am completely satisfied with this brand.

I was in the mood for pie pie but didn’t feel like waiting for it. Yeah I know kinda Lazy but , that mentality is what lead me to my pie pie in a can. I thought to myself. Mmm should I give this little baby here a try.

so, I did. I took it home and I watched as the yummy goodness was heating up in my microwave. While it was warming I was amazed how many nutrients and things were in there and I could. Or wait to eat it.

Every every bite and it was good for watching Ching my weight as well it was only 190 calories per can that made it even better. It also has vitamin A and Potassium with 360 mg With every bite it was soft vegetables and chicken.

The chicken taste really good with the vegetables. It actually taste like pie pie with out the crust. Amazing taste and I also got potatoes and carrots and white meat chicken and celery and peas. It’s a all around good soup 🍜⭐️Definitely recommend.

While trying to reduce calories and fat consumption, but still CRAVING a rich and hearty soup, I gave the Low Fat Light, Chicken Pot Pie Style Soup a chance. Only 2 grams of fat and 90 calories per cup, I thought it may miss the mark, but NO! Delicious, rich, loaded with chicken, potatoes, carrots and full-flavored broth, this Progresso Soup is fantastically flavored and filling.

One cup was satiating for lunch today, but planning a long hike this afternoon, I may consume two cups for dinner. Yes, a whole can, it was that tasty!.

For a canned product, the taste was exceptional. Very affordable products with a homemade taste. I did not get a canned or tinned taste, which is a pet peeve of canned goods. This is one of my favorite lunches if I need a quick fix.

It has all the elements a good chicken pot pie has, and the pieces are not too chunky or large. This specific flavor is creamier and filling, and I would definitely recommend it!.

I absolutely love this soup base. I use it when I’m making dipping sauce, to flavor rice, I cook veggies in it. It really adds wonderful flavor to many many dishes.

The ordered was not filled at first. The entire number of items not shipped. The a duplicate order was entered and filled. Not going to return excess items because there would only be problems.

I love the product. My comments are related to the website. The first purchase was smooth, but when I came back to buy more I had completely forgotten that I had a subscription. I almost subscribe again.

The subscription under my account is difficult to notice. I had to discover a roll down menu. At some point I remembered I had subscribed before and actively looked for that subscription to just change the delivery date.

I also saw a notification on top of the page for deliveries before Christmas. We are in January already. It made me feel like there’s not a lot of attention put into the website. I did everything on my iPhone 13, so I was looking at the mobile version.

I dont see how so many people like this. I’ve seen it all over social media of influencers raving about it. It has no flavor. I dont see how people are supposed to cook woth this let alone “sip” on it.

I was really excited to have a bone broth with no additives but its literally just like water that had something sitting in it. I even added this to a batch of rice as the liquid for it. I didnt even like the rice.

The point per ounces dont help it either. Maybe if it actually tasted good it wpuld be a different story. So disappointed as I bought 2 beef, 2 chicken and 1 mushroom. They’re probably all crap.

I have had the chicken broth on subscription since last fall. There had been a delay of several months due to supply chain? sourcing? who know? Anyhow, I finally got a shipment and I could tell when I cracked the seal that something was wrong but I poured some into a coffee mug and warmed it up and had to spit it out.

It tasted disgusting. Like water with some dirty vegetables thrown in. Totally inedible. I don’t know what’s going on. But I cancelled my subscription and received a refund. So sad bc I usually sip on this before breakfast every morning and now I’ll have to find another product.

I grew up in the northeast so I’m a soup gal! I love progreso however I just feel like it lacks spices. The best thing about soup to me was smelling it simmer over the pot. Whether you microwave or cook your canned soup on the stovetop, it just lacks that spice and seasoning that I love in soups.

The sodium to all of these is extremely high and is just lacking a little flavor. Spice up your life progresso!.

I think this has a good flavor. We really like French onion dip so I used this in Greek yogurt as a first try. I think the flavor is the same as a brand name French onion soup mix but without the chunks.

It will be easy to sprinkle into or onto whatever since it’s more like using a spice.

I love this soup mix because it is not high in sodium and has the best taste.

Well, I’m not sure exactly but at 85p it is a brilliant quick and easy meal for if you’re not feeling too hungry, for if you need a little comfort food or for if you are having a light lunch. Couple with crusty bread and butter for a great and simple budget meal.

At 85p for a standard tin, this soup is available at practically every supermarket. Heinz have been a household brand for years and as a result have a large following of brand loyal customers including myself! Often on deals in large supermarkets like Tescos for four tins for £2 or in Poundland in snack size pots, you can always get a good value deal on this soup.

I have tried many different kinds of tomato soup, including those large “gourmet” plastic tubs you get in the chilled section of supermarkets and I can honestly say that I don’t like any of them as much as the Heinz cream of tomato soup.

Perhaps it is the creamy texture, as creamy textures often appeal to the majority of us due to the general nutritional values of products with creamy textures. However, it is storable for a very long time in any cupboard at room temperature. –How does the tomato compare to others in the range–I have only tried the cream of mushroom soup which I liked the first time I tried it, however the most recent time I tried it, I found it bland and watery and it tasted a bit like milk! who does not love the flagship Tomato soup from Heinz? Flavourful and warming, it is a delight especially on a cold wet evening. Be daring and break up your bread and throw it in there to soak a bit before eating, your mouth will love you forever.

And if you want to try a new twist, sprinkle with a little worcestershire sauce before eating. ahhhhhhh.

I was looking forward to this so much. I love a good tin of heinz tomato soup, it’s my go to any time snack or light meal. Unfortunately, this pot soup is nothing like the original recipe. As soon as I peeled the lid open it was obvious that this was not the same as is in a tin.

The colour was very different, almost brown like oxtail. I thought Ok, it can’t taste different, it’s heinz! How wrong I was. After heating and pouring into my bowl, there was a darker residue left in the bottom of the pot, almost like undissolved powder.

Now for the taste. well one word, yuck! Although there is a slight tomato soup taste, it is nothing at all like the tinned Heinz soup. I was very disappointed. I thought, maybe the plastic tub had something to do with it.

So, I bought another one. This time I opened it fully and poured it into a pan to heat. The same dark residue was at the bottom of the pot, the colour was the same as the last one and regardless of pan or microwave, the taste was just as wrong as the first one.

Never again! Heinz you have massively let yourselves down with this product!.
