Best Hot Dips For Parties (2024 Updated)

We got this salsa years ago but moved out of the area where it was available. We recently purchased another brand and thought about how much we missed tihs so I searched for it and ended up buying from Walmart.

We weren’t sure we should purchase 12 jars but as it turns out there is no expiration that we saw and we’ve already eaten 2 jars in just a couple of weeks. We got the hot but it’s not any hotter than a good salsa at a Mexican restaurant.

We don’t like sweet salsa and with this the last ingredient is sugar. It’s not sweet at all. We will never run out of it again!.

We have researched salsa brands, collecting over a dozen brands. Once we tried. on The Red, the search was over. It is a superior product. Tastes homemade with no disgusting thickening agents and artificial flavor.

Now, looking for the perfect tortilla chip.

This is okay. I’m not a huge fan of it by itself. However, if you add some homemade salsa to it, then you can have a pretty decent cheese dip. It does have a bit of a spicy kick to it with the jalapeño flavored cheese.

That is probably the best part of this cheese. It does have a nice creamy consistency to it. I just do not prefer this particular cheese sauce by itself. My teenagers love it and would eat the whole can in just one sitting if they could.

It’s not bad, just not my personal favorite. I do buy this occasionally, but for my family not for myself.

I found this very hard to find item at Big Lots. Well after becoming completely addicted to this wonderfully flavored bean dip with the added spice of jalapeno I had to remember where I had bought it and returned for 9 more cans! Its delicious on Fritos regular corn chips or Scoops! Creamy and spicy and just perfect! Now if I could just find some barbque Fritos life would be perfect!.

My go-to chip dip. Tastes the best with a bag of doritos. Tastes better when cold. And gets liquidy once it is in the fridge, which is a downside. Other then that, that’s all I would improve. Or making larger containers.

I would recommend, very delicious and the flavors are Chef’s kiss*.

Absolutely delicious!!! Reminds me of a Cajun bean dip I grew up on in New Orleans Louisiana Zapps Cajun Bean dip, I have to say this is so close to that flavor and is SO ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!!!! This dip has been a family favorite for YEARS in our household. The regular kind isn’t bad but the jalapeño cheddar is the best! It has a a little kick to it but nothing too spicy. The only thing I’ve ever used this doo with is the small skinny stick pretzels.

It’s creamy and lightweight, so you don’t have to worry about your pretzels or chips breaking off in it. The container is nice and compact with a removable lid. You do need to refrigerate after opening.

Perfect snack food! A classic. 10/10 recommend.

Dessert Pepper Spicy Bean Dip, far more flavor than Taco Bell. El Paso, Texas sure knows how to put spice into 1 pound glass jar. Word of caution, if you are sensitive to spices, have 2-percent cows milk ready, to wash from your mouth.

Water, will only add to the burn. Also, ask mail order to double pack the 6-jar case. Remember, they are Glass Jars and glass breaks real easy in cross country shipping.

Expected more POW. Especially since it declared itself Medium HOT. No flavor reminiscent of Mexi-Style. S000. BYO SPICES before serving this up. Love the Label. So thank your Label Artist. keeping the jar to serve as a pen catcher to park by my lap top.

Best dip. Hands down! 20/10 would recommend! A little spicy but more flavorful! Great for taco dinner night or parties! It’s a little pricey but SO worth!

I really love this salsa it tastes so good, has a nice heat to it and goes not just on nachos I dump it on burgers, over salads, mix it in when frying veggies and sometimes just grab the jar and a spoon as a snack.

I order this almost weekly its a fave in this house.

Fresh taste wth a spicy zing. Keeps well in the fridge once opened. Can use as a salza for fajitas, veggie dips as well as Corn chips.

This sort of product is not something I eat regularly enough to compare to others but despite the strength of its ‘kick’ I could still taste the ingredients which seems a good thing. However, for a dip that is described as mild, I found this to be very hot.

It doesn’t seem so at first but it didn’t take long for the chiles to make themselves noticed. I’m sweating now just thinking about it!.

Love this dip! Spicy and full fledged. YUMMYNESS! I use flat bread crackers, corn chips or tortilla chips. DELICIOUS! I’m trying to figure out a recipe I can use this in. I’m thinking it would be excellent to use as an enchilada filler with chicken or beef.

I’m definitely going to experiment.

i think this is lovely and just the right amount of spice/has a good kick to it. for people struggling to open jars,all you need to do is is hit the notches underneath the lid with something a few times(i use a screwdriver handle)you will hear a pop,n voila lids opened.

Great Salsa, nice heat from the chillis, tangy and very moorish, great on crackers with a strong cheddar cheese.

Over the course of many years, I craved this product occasionally, but doubt I ever will again. The newest “recipe” is awful. It is whipped with more air and doesn’t taste at all like the prior versions.

Not cheesy, not thick. It spreads liked whipped butter and hardly has any flavor. What a disappointment. (My jar: Best when used by 11May2021 Moo:46. 04050032770600) Yuck!.

We live a good distance from a grocery store. This is a great way to keep cheese for anything you enjoy like nachos or even on hot dogs or hamburgers with extended shelf life. Love that it is in glass.

Save money to zest it up with chili peppers or jalapenos.

This stuff is amazing! My husband did a search for veggie dip recently when he was in the mood and happened to get this one and this company’s Tzatziki dip (which we maybe like even better, if that is possible).

We are both deeply in love! With each other, of course, but at the moment I do mean with this dip. After devouring both containers in far too few days, we felt like pigs. We were very pleasantly surprised when we looked at the nutrition facts.

We then felt very good about this choice, even if it was a happy accident and we didn’t technically know it wasn’t super unhealthy when we were stuffing it in our mouths.

I love the *flavor* of buffalo sauce but sometimes it’s a little too hot for me. Also, I don’t eat meat. This dip is a perfect answer to both. It’s a great snack with lots of flavor and tastes surprisingly fresh.

It’s way healthier than actual buffalo sauce, too. Excellent on fresh veggies!.

I almost don’t want to write this review because I know more people will buy it lol. I ate this entire dip in one day, it’s like nothing I’ve ever had. Love the “Buffalo” flavor and the clean ingredients.

I think I’ll try the tzatziki next after how impressed I was with this one. YUMMMMM. Also… I don’t eat plant based, it’s just that good.

What is there to like about having to wait for an item like the spinach dip that is normally stocked in almost every grocery store. And why must you go out of state to get it when it is most likely available in one of your other local stores.

The last time i ordered this item it arrived broken. The jar was shattered. Based on the bulge in the packaging it looked like poor pachaging. I tried contacting Walmart but had difficulies, i guess, because i have not heard back from you.

If you dont carry it in stock then dont advertise it as if its in your inventory.

is my favorite dip with chips. The texture is very thick and creamy and the spinach tastes like it was processed at peak time. (I would love if they would have a spinach/artichoke dip, too. ) The flavor is very good and I am very pleased with the product.

Honestly, this product is just fantastic. It’s tasty with corn chips or any other grain. The level of saltiness is just perfect, the texture is fantastic, and the whole thing just goes down smooth. I don’t even like Spinach Dip ordinarily but this tastes closer to a restaurant entree than a normal prepared sauce.

I use to love this stuff but the last one I bought was not mixed properly. Seems SAM employees don’t see a need to do things right. Same issue with their cooked ribs. The last ones I got had a pound of Cumin on them and whoever cooked them did not take the silver skin off.

I returned them and asked the cust service rep to make sure management understood what was wrong but it was clear he did not care. Based on this ongoing “BAD ATTITUDE” I doubt that I will renew my membership.

This dip is legit! Definitely has a kick, so if you don’t like spicy this probably isn’t for you. Best part is it pairs with so many things. You could probably use it with just about anything you would use cream cheese for in a savory setting.

I cannot wait to try it on a burger!.

This was so good my son and I finished it in one week, and now I need to order more. It has a bite to it, but I love that. We had it with corn chips. It has little chunks of artichoke in it, with cream cheese, which I love.

I better hurry and get more, before they run out of it.

I absolutely love this salsa! It has the best flavor and texture! It’s my go to when buying store bought salsa. I feel like the only thing to do to improve this product would be to make a bigger jar.

This salsa is great! Simple ingredients, no extra stuff to make it “fun” or “zesty”. Plain, quality salsa. My kids love it, and so do I! The adults prefer the hotter versions but the kids will literally eat it with a spoon so mild it is.

I’ve been enjoying Clint’s chile’ for years. I was searching around for some decent salsa and stumbled onto his brand. Fantastic. It’s always nice and chunky with fresh ingredients. I personally enjoy the Hot version.

It’s so good, in fact, I decided to take the time to write this opinion. I normally don’t bother with these things.

My previous review was unfair, I made the mistake of not mixing it before using it. All the spices must have settled to the bottom of the jar, It has a lot more kick than I originally said still not exceptionally hot but has a nice kick.

Makes great Mac n cheese kinda like valveeta Mac n cheese with more flavor and a spicy kick. Also great on tacos. Don’t forget to mix it like I did.

This is my absolute favorite dip! I’ll choose this over plain salsa any day! This dip is not too spicy but with a nice little kick. Perfect served hot or cold. I love eating these with but any tortilla chip will do the trick.

This would probably be pretty tasty with pita bread, bell pepper slices, or even used as a spread on a Spanish style wrap. Great for a snack for one or for a get together with all of your friends. You can get this dip for $3.

98 at Walmart, so priced fairly well. And, with a 2Tbs serving, this comes it at only 45 calories, with less than 1g of sugar, and only 5g of carbs! Watch out for that sodium, though.

Wish I could give this a million stars!! This is the best. Perfect blend of spice and amazing with a little cheese on the top. This is our family go to. The only problem is that many stores don’t carry it.

I found something lumpy in my single pack of Kylitos Salsa Jar from Walmart it looks like some type of SKIN which was repulsive. I emailed the company and they said it was mode bunch of BS and they’re avoiding my phone calls I left multiple voice messages and then he blocked me.

This is the BEST! I’ve surpassed easily 100 jars In the past 6 months. I put this on salads, all sorts Mexican food or just by itself. The original is great as it’s not to hot and has great flavor. I love the fire roasted and the hot.

Will continue to buy. My boss got me hooked on it and I’ve got almost everyone I know hooked on it. Give it a try and you won’t regret it. 10 stars!.

This is great salsa! It has just enough heat for those looking for a little bite but it also has a great flavor. If you are looking for great flavor with less heat, try Kylitos Original. Its the best salsa I have ever had and I live in Texas and eat salsa at least 5 times a week.

– Ive been doing my own nails for years. – purchased this dip powder to avoid UV light – love the color, great for all skin colors. – dip powder is a bit thin. Not as thick as the other dip brands I have, which means that if you have long nails or thin nails, this product may not offer the protection youre looking for.

i ordered walmart sweet heat salsa thats the only one i like. no substitutions also i picked the Sykesville store they changed to Randallstown store that is the worst store in the world i wont even shop there ill drive the extra few miles to go to Sykesville.

i know what Sykesville carries thats why i use that store. WALMART PLEASE GET IT TOGETHER PLEASE DO SOME SECRET SHOPPING AT THE RANDALLSTOWN STORE. THEY NEVER HAVE THE HADICAP CARTS PLUGGED IN ITS DISGUSTING.

I love the flavors in this salsa. The addition of the black beans and corn in this salsa makes the Desert Pepper really well rounded. It’s spicy but NOT too hot. I mash up some avocados add some lemon juice, then add a few tablespoons of Desert Pepper to make a delicious guacamole! delicious AND healthy.

I’ve never bought the case of this – only a jar – but I looove this flavor and this brand. Pineapple salsa isn’t really something you see, maybe specialty option at a restaurant. The flavors in this are on par with salsa but the pineapple gives it something different and sweet and delicious.

Slightly higher price but the quality and flavors are worth it.

A great salsa that is probably the best other than hand made fresh from the garden. We started buying Green Mountain Gringo products in the Northeast several years ago and have never been disappointed.

We recently moved to the Austin TX area and could not find our favorite salsa in the local stores. We tried several local products but found them to be inferior to Green Mountain Gringo. I found that I could order this product online at Target and by placing an order over $35 got free shipping.

A good indicator of quality in salsa sold in jars is the salt content. If sodium is high then the product is using salt instead of quality spices and other fine ingredients. The sodium in this product is 70mg or 3% of daily amount.

As a comparison, Pace chunky has 230mg or 10%, over 3 times as much salt. What a deal, our favorite product delivered to our door, free shipping made this a great online shopping experience.

This is one of my favorites. After trying a great deal of various salsa’s, what I noticed about Green Mountains is that it taste fresh! The tomatoes have a rich taste while not overpowering to the overall salsa flavor.

What I also like here is that there’s no added sugars, artificial flavors or junk. All spices and vegetables compliment each other for that delicious bite. As far as heat goes, it is hard to say that it’s spicy, for me it’s not at all but for someone who is really sensitive to heat, medium might not be the best.

I can tell you the my wife is a bit sensitive to heat and she enjoyed this without an issue.

As others have commented, this makes an excellent dip when made with a good Greek yogurt. That’s a favorite in my household, and with friends. But needing something different, and needing it quickly, I used this Classic Dip Mix with a 2:1 mix of goat cheese and cream cheese.

I let the cheeses soften to room temperature, combined them with a hand mixer, and added the mix, adjusting to taste. Yum. It was even better after it had chilled. The second time I made it, I made extra for leftovers, and yes, it was even better than when made.

Bigger flat-packs might be needed as I’m already ordering multiples at a time. (FYI – I gifted packages at the Holidays, and that was a big hit. ).

This makes excellent chip dip. I used sour cream and thinned it out with just a little bit of cream. I did use the 3 tsp to get the flavor we wanted. Excellent with veggies too. I’m sure it would be equally delicious made with yogurt.

Going to try that in the near future. Buy this mix, you won’t be disappointed.

I thought I would give this a try for my husband who loves chips and dip. I usually buy dip from the grocery store. Not anymore! My husband loved this dip and requests it often….to much really lol
