20 Best Hot Ash Vacuum Cleaner (2023 Updated)

I love this vacuum it has nice attachments, easy to use, not loud running. Only thing I wish it was able to do is suck up red hot ash. Would be 5 stars if it could! But still this vacuum does what it should & works great! Sometimes my pellet stove acts up & smokes.

I’ve been trying to find one with all metal components inside. Have a child with lung disease, so when pellet stove smokes if I’ve got red hot ash, I have to suck it all up quickly to get smoke to stop & out of house.

Not sure why our stove does that at times? I always use this ash vacuum to clean stove out good, once its off & cooled prior to burning more pellets. This vacuum does a great job cleaning everything out & getting into the corners & crevices.

Just not for red hot ash. Other than that it’s great!.

It’s as advertised. Has good suction and is not as loud as a regular vacuum. Can hold multiple pellet stove cleanups. Has a unique brush attachment that flips to an open tube. Does not allow ash sparks to fly out of canister like a regular vac does.

Has wheels so when your busy with hot stove you don’t have to lift and move or worry about it tipping over if you pull on the hose it moves toward you and doesn’t tip. It’s worth more than the $80 I spent on it.

I’ve used it 5 times and I’m very pleased.

I bought this last year to clean my pellet stove. I choose a service interval when the stove is not in use for at least 1/2 day and completely cooled. The power is quite low and the motor readily heats up leaving a burning smell.

I have to stop the unit several times during the stove clean-up to avoid tripping the overheating limit on the motor. I empty to ash area manually and only use the vacuum to tidy up.

With summer upon us and BBQ/bonfire/camping season in full swing I definitely needed a quick, easy, convient way to get rid of all the ashes and this is it. It’s lightweight but sturdy. I love the large handle on the top that you carry it with and it doubles as a cord wrap which is a bonus.

The hose has an led light on it incase you’re working in the dark. It’s for cold ashes only so a day or so after I BBQ or have a bonfire I like to use this up suck up all the ashes and start clean. One minor issue I’ve had is if there are chunks of charcoal or wood that haven’t burnt all the way down they can get sucked in and stuck in the hose.

Obviously that’s an issue with any vaccum and I just turn in off and let the piece fall back out. I’ve started taking a scooper to it and shifting out all the big chunks before sucking up the ash and that seems to be working just fine.

I’ve only used it outdoors but it can be used indoors for fireplaces and pellet stoves. It’s has a hepa filter which grabs small particles and that’s a bonus in my book. Definitely glad I have this and will make my summer activities and cleanup more enjoyable and less time consuming.

Craftsman 5 GAL 3. 0 Peak HP Ash Vacuum has proven very effective in cleaning up my ashes. The 5 gal container makes it a breeze to clean up a large amount. The unit comes equipped with a hepa filter and that prevents pollutants from re-entering the atmosphere.

I suffer from allergies and typically whenever I clean my chimney or the grill I tend to sneeze or become congested, this vacuum has drastically reduced those reactions. I will now look forward to cleaning my chimney and grill.

I also use the vacuum in my car, and yes it works just as well. I did however give it four stars because it doesn’t have wheels. I have arthritis and the fact that I have to pick this vacuum up when it is full is no joke.

I wish it had wheels or even the capability of buying a wheel attachment. With the being said it is mainly made from plastic however some of the parts are metal. It is a dry vac only. It feels durable and the suction power is absolutely powerful and effective.

It has roughly a six foot cord, so for large surface areas have an extension cord handy. Overall I am happy with the vacuum and hope to push the limits on what it can vacuum up.

The suction is fine. A pinch less than a standard shopvac but more than a regular vacuum. We heat w a wood stove and the floor and hearth are always covered in wood bits and ash. I like that we can leave it out handy and use it every day to vacuum up the surrounding area.

I only wish it were smaller. It is nice and light though.

Really powerful, and a great price. I use it on a pellet stove, and it picks up all the fine ash in all those small angles inside the burn box. I purchased this one because it came with attachments – and I do use them on my stove.

Does the job without any ash filtering back into the room. Allows a thorough cleaning. Chunks of burned wood will stop up the hose. Shovel out the fireplace before you start with the ash vacuum. As for emptying, started to inside the house and found ash from the filter spilling out on the floor.

So, took outside to empty. It holds a lot so I am sure it would not need to be emptied after each use. I would recommend the product.

We have been using this for a bit over one month. We just cleaned it out thinking it must be full and it was not even close. No dust in the air, good suction. I agree with other reviewers and would buy an attachment if available, but we use a little paint brush with it to get the baffles clean and that works just fine.

It is light and easy to maneuver. Highly recommend.

The Snow Joe ash vacuum is great , especially because I have super fine dust from collecting rocks. The unit is very tight with strong clamps, so the ashes and dust do not escape. To make the vacuum more mobile, I use and extension cord, since there are no wheels on the bottom.

It’s an okay vacuum. It does what it’s supposed to do. It comes ready to use. Easy to assemble. I love that the filter is reusable. It takes quite a bit of the ash and keeps it in the container. I’m rather disappointed that the hose is too short.

The nozzle is too big. I wish it came with a smaller nozzle or more than one nozzle, a longer hose and more attachments so it would be able to get in all the small places// compartments of a pellet stove.

I brush would also be helpful.

piece of crap! will try to return. put it together tested it on fireplace ash. filled half way. stopped sucking. Nothing clogged. Went out and dumped the ash outside (to try again) one of the clamps fell off (not gonna find it in ash and grass) they are supposed to be attached.

can’t find clamp won’t suck any ash up. get what you pay for. I just wanted a small one to fit in upstairs closet.

This did a fine job cleaning out my fireplace. It was easy to use and it worked fine, without making a mess. It filters the air so well that there is no fine dust spraying out, like what you might expect.

It doesn’t suck very hard (compared to a big shop vac or a central vac), but if you’re only vacuuming up ash and small bits of charcoal then it works great. This is so much better than hauling the ash tray around or brushing and scraping to scoop it out.

It easy and clean. You just take it outside when you’re done and dump it into a compost bag.

Bought this a little over a month ago, Dose a good job not too loud. After the first couple of times of use, it would not start unless jiggled the plug in. Then around the 5th or 6th time, the plug started smoking as soon as I plugged it in.

Well having done electrical work I cut the plug off the cord and put on a heavy two-prong plug on it and have not had an issue out of it again. The reason for the 4 stars. So if yours even stops working I would try a new plug as I think the wiring in the cheap plug on it not wired in it right.

From the reviews I read about it I knew there was an issue about not working long for some people. I would not be afraid to buy one again.

There are no vacuums that come close to this Sebo. It is one of the best and most powerful vacuums I have ever used. It has so many great different functions built in. The carpet vacuum head is so powerful, it picks up every single loose hair, spec, and bit of dust.

This is my second Sebo vacuum cleaner. I bought my first one, an upright almost two years ago and I love it. I bought this one for my upstairs, because at my age, I don’t want to be carrying the upright up and downstairs.

I decided to try the canister version for a change. I love it! It is easy to use, it is quiet, and it does a great job cleaning the carpets. I love the retractable cord and the fact that I can adjust the handle on the cleaning head to my height.

You can also adjust the the cleaning head to the height of your carpet type or bare floor. I love the quality of these vacuum cleaners, they are well made and just do a superb job of cleaning.

Great machine. Like all premium quality products,the Sebo is engineered to eliminate problems common to lesser quality vacuums. The tooless brush removal is a real plus when it’s time to remove hair, etc.

I had a few car vac and all i did was killed my back. finally i found one that actually works is light weight good suction & left my truck looking new again yes i recomend this vac & i forgot to mention i have a dog by the time i finish the truck it looks like a dog free car, love it.

I only gave it a 4 out of a 5 because it does a good job but it seem to have lost some power after one use! Then I had a water damage job and it did work great but the sleeve you have to fit on is clumsy not sturdy like the dry filter! But over all it does a good job.

Works great. Used several times in 1st week. Excellent. I like that it has attachments for misc stuff. Great unit.

We had been letting the pellet stove cool then using a shot vac to clean it out, this ash vac is much better. You don’t have to wait for anything to cool saving time and heating on your home/ space. The only down flaw was I feel it doesn’t have as much of a suck as my little shot vac when cleaning the smaller/ tight spaces.

Other then that great product and would recommend.

Its quite, strong enough, and easy to use. I have a request sized wood stove and this machine I emptied twice to get all the ash. Im not sure how long it was since the stove was last cleaned. It works well and I am happy with the purchase.

I bought vac 3 years ago worked fine. Next year motor burnt up. Keap in garage. Got another vac worked fine. Put vac in pantry in house over warm months. Moving stove. Got vac out for sheet rock dust.

Motor doing same thing. Called customer service voice mail. Going in morning to get shop vac. Maybe it will last more than a one season.

This ash vac over heats easily with prolong use and shutdowns until it cools off. I also had a wire become disconnected from the motor for no apparent reason. Now after a couple of years use, one of the prongs pulled out of the plug and stuck in an outlet that has been in use for at least 10 years.

I hadn’t noticed it for a couple of days so fortunately only one prong pulled out, because if both prongs would have pulled out simultaneously, that would have been a shock hazard having both prongs sticking out of a live outlet! Other than that, it is a convenient and clean way of cleaning ashes out of my insert.

The HEPA filter does a great job in insuring that no dust escapes into the room.

It is light weight and robust and has loads of room for the ash. The only disappointing thing is the electric cable is too short and i have to us an extension cable to reach the fire place, also nothing to tie up the cable after use.

First rate service and delivery. Cleans log burner perfectly and makes it a task I don’t try to avoid. Delighted

powerfull suction

very portable unit, came will packaged, no damage in shipping. Charge adapter has red/green light to know the battery is charged for use. Great suction power for a small unit, will purchase more for the techs since these hold much more than the other HEPA vacuums we use.

We have a pellet stove in our family room, love the heat but when it’s time to clean the ashes and soot it can be messy. I would cover my furniture place newspaper down on the floor trying to minimis the mess.

The ash vaccum is a blessing I just pull it out and fire it up and my pellet stove is clean in about 3 to 5 minutes. Nothing blows out the top leaving that fine ash over everything. Best investment of 2019!.

Product is all it claims to be. Tight fitment, Zero ash leakage, Long cord is great too. Only improvement I would like is better wheels, but then again, with the long cord and suction hose I’m not rolling it that much anyway lol.

Kept ya reading tho!!! Supplier had great service too so a win-win item.

Die Geräuschentwicklung ist wirklich angenehm gering trotz der hohen Saugleistung. Den Staubbeutel mussten wir bisher in den vier Monaten nicht wechseln, obwohl wir häufig eine 130 qm-Wohnzung komplett oder in Teilen absaugen.

Das Kabel ist sehr lang, sodass, an geeigneter Stelle an den Strom angeschlossen, die gesamte große Wohnung ohne Kabel-Umstecken gesaugt werden kann. Das Gewicht ist angenehm, der Sauger sicher auch für Personen mit wenig Kraft gut zu heben und hinterher zu ziehen.

Durch die relativ kleinen Rollen kostet aber manchmal etwas Mühe, ihn übers Kabel zu ziehen. Dadurch, dass alle Rollen in alle Richtungen beweglich sind, ist es manchmal etwas schwierig, beim Hinterherziehen die Richtung zu halten.

Diese Nachteile sind aber aus unserer Sicht nicht so gravierend wie die vielen Vorteile des Saugers.

I bought the BAUER 14 Gallon Wet/Dry Vacuum because of the 4. 5 stars from User Reviews. However, when I got my new vacuum home and unsealed the box, I quickly realized that someone had already used this vacuum ! There were remnants of dirt and small rocks inside the canister and dirt all over the bottom and insides of the product.

Also, the filter was missing, so i assume whomever used it before I purchased it did not use – or did not have the filter that was supposed to be inside the vacuum. I was willing to give it a try ( no more of this model was available at my local Harbor Freight outlet ) if the manager of the store would replace the missing filter.

She did give me a filter to try the vacuum out. That’s when I discovered this vacuum was the LOUDEST, most HIGH PITCH Output of any shop vac I have ever owned. It sounds like a jet engine and is intolerable to be near or around.

I am Very Disappointed in Harbor Freight for purchasing this item. I don’t understand how a brand new product ( supposedly ) could have been opened, used, and put back in the original box and sold to an unsuspecting customer ! ! ! I will be returning the Vacuum to your store tomorrow, and think hard about doing business with them again.

I had a nice 16 gallon Craftsman for years that worked great, but we had a 6 gallon Shop Vac, so my husband and me decided to sell the larger one (since it was much older). Big mistake, because we bought a huge house we’re reno’ing, and the smaller one just didn’t cut it.

I found a 16 gallon Shop Vac contractor grade unit on Marketplace for cheap, but I quickly killed the motor in it. Frustrated, I decided to buy a new wet-dry vac. I almost bought the Ridgid Nxt, but I’m glad I chose this one.

It has GREAT suction power, and good attachments included. I used it to pick up fine dust from sanding drywall, and leftover dust/debris from smashed tile. It was on sale for Inside Track Members when I bought it, too.

Last, I think the size is just right. Not too big, not too small. Give it a try. I think if I keep the filter clean/changed it will last for years.

I wanted to leave a review because there are a lot of mixed reviews for this and I wasn’t sure it would be a good purchase. We recently moved into a house with a pellet stove, and during the really cold spells it is our primary heat source.

When we had to clean it out we used a shop vac with a filter on it but almost right away ash would spray all over the living room which was terrible to clean up. I have only used this a few times now but it has worked great and I have had no mess to clean up.

My only complaint is I wish it had another attachment with an angled end to get into the corners better. But it still gets the job done. I will clean the filter soon, I don’t mind doing that frequently if it means ash won’t spray all over my living room!.

It is small and easy to operate. It is ok for small occasional use. However it overheats after about ten minutes of constant running. Then it shuts down and has to cool down for around ten minutes before it can be restarted.

I would have expected more from a Ridgid named product. But I guess you get what you pay for. I will probably get rid of it and by an Industrial vacuum for any future pellet stove cleaning.

I just purchased this Ash Vac about 3 weeks ago, and every time I am done with it I clean it thoroughly. This is the only way you are going to keep it running properly. It only takes 5 min. Do that and you will have no problem it.

TranslateShow in original languageHar brukt den 2 ganger. Som andre askesugere med skikkelig filter så tetter også dette seg fort. Men det er ikke til å unngå. Alternativet er masse støv i rommet. Knappen man skal bruke for å fjerne noe av asken er egentlig en “dummyknapp” for at man skal gi sugeren skikkelige dunk slik at noe av asken i filteret løsner og man kan fortsette å suge asken.

Senest etter å ha askesugd en peis, om ikke før, må man ta sugeren med ut og ta ut filteret og riste/dunke skikkelig på dette for å få vekk all asken som samler seg i det. Dette er imidlertid en enkel og grei oppgave.

Sugeslangen er noe trang og ruglete på innsiden. Dermed er det lett for at større kullbiter setter seg fast slik at man må ta av slangen og gå ut for å tømme denne. Dette kunne vært unngått dersom munnstykket hadde hatt en rist fremfor åpningen, slik at større biter ikke fikk komme inn i slangen.

Jeg tenker å teipe fast to lag med hønsenetting for å unngå at askebiter setter seg fast i slangen. Veldig enkelt å tømme askesugeren. Virker som solid byggekvalitet.

A chaque utilisation , il faut utiliser le décolmateur de filtre voir au bout d’un certain temps , le retirer et le nettoyer car la poussière s’accumule. Très bon appareil léger et fonctionnel.

Cdiscount propose de traiter le problème directement avec fabricant. Le diagnostic prendra 3 semaines sans compter le temps de livraison jusqu’aux leurs ateliers. Et c’est pendant la période de chauffage, donc en attendant je suis obligée d’acheter un autre appareil ! Le nettoyage du filtre est cauchemar pour les personnes ayant l’allergie, malgré précautions j’étais couverte de cendre.
