Best Hospital To Work For (2024 Updated)

Great for recreating hospital setup at home after my recent knee replacement. During my rehab, It also works great for working table on my semi recumbent bike. But I do already notice the unsupported side drops over an inch in an upper position.

If I move it up and down, I can see where the drop is from. Where the extendable leg comes out of the support there is a plastic piece there that I see the looseness in. It looks like you could use a wedge shim to tighten it up but that would prob end up breaking the plastic.

I am concerned that over time this may get worse because I already see some wear on the plastic. I have only had it a month and don’t change levels that often. I do however move it quite a bit. That said, it serves my purpose well! P.

S. For those that have difficulty raising and lowering, I have found if you lift up the unsupported end and also push away and back it will help. That slight “jiggling” movement helps to release any sticking as u slowly press the release button for more controlled movement.

I also never leave something spill-able on the table when changing height.

Fast delivery. Packaging worthy of positive comments. Easy to assemble using two tools recommended and usually in buyers possession already. Attractive to room. Durable. Lowest height could be better.

Highest adjustment good. Wheels could be better to roll on our carpet for age 89 user.

PRO: Very easy to assemble, great adjustable height, length and width are perfect for my needs. I have an adjustable bed and the table height is perfect for when the bed is flat and when the bed is elevated.

All I have to do is raise the height of the table depending on what position the bed is elevated to. CON: I only gave a 4 star rating because of 2 issues. I wish the wheels had a locking mechanism to prevent them from falling off.

I have carpet and the wheels don’t easily glide sometimes so I have to lift the table a bit to move it, which causes the wheels to fall off. There is nothing to lock them in place. The wheels do have “breaks” to keep the table stationary but that is not a problem when you have carpet.

The other issue is the table does not have a rim(?) on it to prevent things from sliding off. So, if these two features were also included then I would give it a 5 star rating.

I bought these socks for Christmas. I cannot review how much they were liked. However I can tell you the socks came in a quick manner. The colors of the boys socks were bright and perfect for my grandsons.

The quality of the material feels soft and looks like they will last many washings. The fun fabric choices will put smiles on my grandsons’ faces… both 7 years old. I am very happy with my purchase,.

I got these for one of my best friends because we decided we want to wear matching socks for a formal we are going to together and I’m so glad I found these because they are perfect 10/10 would recommend I was able to find them in a womens style for myself too but they still match which is really great.

They got here pretty quickly which is always appreciated. I would say they are a little thin but they are still a good quality with having the dinosaurs on them so I’m not complaining :).

I have been buying from hot socks for a number of years now. I discovered them at a local department store and decided to order from the company. I personally have about 80 pair of socks. I have also given away several dozen to individuals.

Item arrived a day before planned…quick shipping. 4 cartons, loaded on pallet, needs to be drop shipped. 2 large boxes containing the head and foot sections separately. They are heavy as the frame is steel and two motors are contained in the foot section, and a single motor at the head end.

The cart containing the two headboards was a bit messed up on the corner of the carton, causing some scratches on the legs, no big deal. The surfaces of the head and foot boards is a vinyl type plastic somewhat scuffed.

Assembly instructions need a good reading through entirely before assembly. It is fairly straight forward, but two people will be needed for assembly as the sections are heavy, but with a bit of good old elbow grease, is manageable.

No mattress was supplied, but we were proactive in purchasing a good 6 inches thick foam mattress ($500) on Amazon, thanks to the responses from folks on this site. The mattresses that were supplied to others have been basically rated as garbage, so definitely get a good one.

Price wise and the quality of the build seem to be of good quality and time will tell regarding durability. Hope this helps, think it is good value for what you get. My 89 year old Father In Law seems to be happy…he is the recipient.

This bed was perfect for our needs. We only used it a short time, but it worked great. There railings are long and can’t be used in all situations. We left them down and used rolled towels to keep my mom safe from rolling or climbing out.

Hospice gave us the added instructions for our circumstances. We didn’t know the difference between long or short rails. Atleast we were able to modify for our situation. We were glad we purchased this, because the doctor ordered hospice so late that we wouldn’t have had a bed set up in time.

Now this bed has been donated to benefit others in need. We purchased a pressure reduction mattress and an inflatable pad with pump for comfort, too. I recommend this product. No need to buy more expensive equipment, especially for short term use.

This bed comes in several boxes. The frame is the heaviest piece. The entire bed weighs 270 lbs. The two parts of the main bed are easily assembled but read the instructions as well as the quick guide.

It’s easy to get confused. Attaching the head and footboard was the hardest because the bed was too heavy for me to lift and I had to get creative. Customer Service responds quickly but it takes awhile for the bed to arrive.

If there is a wrong or missing part it can take awhile to get it. But the bed is sturdy, safe, and comfortable. You don’t need tools but I found pliers helpful for hooking the springs together.

The bed arrived as scheduled, and we assembled it without a problem, but mattress was missing. I notified the company, whose records showed that the mattress had already been delivered the day before.

We doubled checked everywhere that a delivery person may have stowed a delivered package, porches, etc. , nothing. I emailed the company to let them know that we hadn’t received it and what should we do now? Without ANY argument or fuss, they immediately sent another mattress, which we received in just a few days.

I was amazed and delighted that we didn’t have to go through a long drawn out ordeal to accomplish this, as we needed the bed immediately. It’s a great bed, very sturdy but easy to move around on its casters – with a comfy mattress, smooth release safety rails and electrical adjustments that are fast and quiet.

Prior to this purchase, we had considered renting a bed, but were quoted a price at $250 per month – for the cost of 3 months rent, we have a brand new fully electric bed. Needless to say, we are very pleased with both the product and the company.

I ordered it for my dad on a Monday. It was delivered the following Friday. I thought it would take a long time to get here because of Covid-19. nope, it got here quickly. It arrived on a pallet, and the delivery fellow offered to help me unpack it.

100% excellence in terms of delivery experience. The bed arrives in 4 main boxes and a few other parts. ALL THE PARTS are heavy. No tools were needed for putting it together. Good engineering went into it, that is for certain.

Fitting the motor was a chore because the instructions weren’t clear. i figured it out just bu looking at it. I got the full electric one with full rails. I got it assembled and I didn’t know that it also RAISES the bed.

It goes up quite high. I was so happy with this I actually cried. It does the back part and knees raising, but moving it up makes life so much easier. and it goes high. Also, the bed is solid all the way around.

It is not at all junky or disappointing. in any way. I will give this bed a perfect score in every way. It would be a steal at twice the price. At only $800 it is truly amazing.

I am recovering from from foot surgery, so I need to keep my foot elevated and cannot put weight on it. I am working from home using a laptop computer. The overbed table is the ideal width for a laptop, mouse and mousepad.

Its adjustable height enables me to set it at exactly the right level. The principal drawback is that the wheels are not firmly attached, so they come out of their slots too often when I need to tilt the table to disentangle cords (such as the iPhone charging cord and the electrical cord for the heating pad).

Overall, however. the overbed table greatly improve my ability to get my work done.

This table is exactly what I was looking for. Well made, sturdy and very mobile. even on carpeted floors! Height easily adjusts and I roll this between my office and my crafting room. The extra work surface comes in so handy! As for customer service.

wow! Box arrived damaged from the shipper. Packing material prevented damage to the table, but with a gaping hole in the bottom of the box, the bag holding the assembly screws was torn with many missing.

Called customer service and was greeted warmly and with quick resolution! Another packet of assembly screws were at my door in short order! Very pleased with the table. and so impressed by the customer service! Well done!!.

Table was for my husband’s TV room. I assembled per instructions. Table was not level. One side of table was 28 inches tall; opposite side was 27 1/2 inches tall making a pencil roll off one side to floor.

Sent e-mail re unbalanced table. They wrote back with instructions to loosen a few screws under table and to step on bar underneath supporting table. Did that. Results were we were able to raise the low edge to 27 3/4 inches but no more.

At least, a pencil did not roll off the table and kept it as is. Too bothersome to return it for a level table.

Horrible pump. Suction is very poor you have to close one side to get any suction and it’s still not great. Takes way too long. I had a Medela pump with my first son that was awesome. This pump is trash.

Can’t use properly with a breast pump bra because you literally need to hold it a specific way on your breast or it will leak out the flange. Tried different size flange and same result. As much as insurance cost they should be ashamed at giving these to moms especially working moms who will have to return to work.

Oh and the batteries drain very fast, even when you’re not using the machine. I mostly use the outlet but when I go to use the batteries they are low and they were brand new batteries.

TERRIBLE Took me 45 minutes to pump on what typically takes me 15 to do on a Medela. Got this through my insurance – so terrible! I used my old 5 year old , loud sounds like it’s dying Medela and got better results! I rigged the Medela parts to the Ameda Hopi g to make it easier (since the parts are weird and awkward) and it helped a little but still took 45 minutes and then quit.

I guess if I had to say what is positive- it’s quiet and has a timer. The wall cord is too short and u can’t sit in a chair- sit on floor or get batteries. The terrible suction is even worse with the batteries tho.

I feel like the good reviews online must be fake because this is seriously terrible!!! Purchasing a new spectra s2 instead!!.

I had a Medela electric pump in my previous pregnancy 5 years ago. This one was received through insurance. Compared to the Medela, it doesn’t pump as hard. However, it is definitely more sleek and easy for travel.

For the price of $90 (just the pump with no tote) compared to the Medela sets, it works wellThe pump is somewhat portable. You do not have to be plugged into an outlet but it isn’t hands free. With one full charge, I was able to pump 4 sessions (15-20 mins) at level 7 and 12.

The standard flange size it comes with are 25 and 27. I had to order the 30. Easy to clean, easy to set up. Just wished it was a tiny bit more powerful.

There were no instructions and when I reversed the shelf brackets the trolley was much sturdier and useable, happy now after checking your website pictures.

These nurses stories are honest but at times brutal in their telling. These nurses were on the front line during and still now during COVID. How they were treated ranges from appreciation to downright hostility.

Even the patients could be hostile when the nurses were just trying to save the patient’s lives. Don’t buy this book if you’re looking for some ‘light’ reading, but it only if you want to know what these men and women went through and are still going through.

I haven’t finished it yet but read enough to say it’s nice book full of short stories so it is very easy to read even when your busy. As a nurse I know we all have enough tales to tell that would fit in multiple books.

Reading these made me laugh at many of them and others will help those who read it understand more about what nurses actually do when not at the bedside and when we are.

This was a great read! It did not shy away from difficult situations. Nurses are our Frontline Heros!

I originally ordered the Joerns bed but there was a delay at the manufacturers. The kind folks in customer service upgraded my order to the Invacare Carroll CS7 hospital bed at the same price as the Joerns bed.

After 3 years in a Medicare bed which hurt my back, I can now finally get a good night’s sleep. Many thanks to Med Mart’s excellent customer service and to the kind men who came to my house and not only set up the new bed but took down the Medicare bed.

This order went through very quickly and I am very pleased and happy with it. I highly recommend Med Mart to everyone!.

The boxes arrived opened and damaged. I contacted vitality and recieved an email from them saying that they aren’t responsible for damages done to the boxes during shipping(Are you kidding me). How do I know this isn’t a used or returned bed they gave me? New items should come in sealed boxes.

I don’t want to use it because in this age of covid you can’t take any chances, especially when you have someone who has underlying health issues in your home. Now, if I want to return the bed I have pay nearly 300 hundred dollars in shipping.

Vitality doesn’t want to provide a return shipping label. From now on I will make my purchases from a company that takes responsibly for the items they sell and ship.

I placed my Delta Ultra Light full electric hospital bed over 10 days ago, and paid extra to have it shipped fast, but I haven’t received any notification regarding shipment yet. A few days ago, I received a tracking number from VitalityMedical, but when I clicked on the tracking number, Fedex informed me that the tracking number is invalid.

I tried calling Vitality numerous times, but i still have not received any returned call. So Far my experience with Vitality has been a night mare. I called Keith Radley who claimed he is the VP, but he told me he could not help me since he did not give me the quote.

The quote came from another person named Wiley Dangefield. I did not know Wiley, I called the number and named shown in the quote sent to me, and Keith Radley was the name in the quote. Keith told me to call back the next day.

I called him back the next day, but coudl not reach him. I have tried to contact him thelast few days and had not been able to get in touch with him. In short, no information on when the order will come and it has been 12 days since I placed the order.

Please be careful when placing order with this company.

This jacket is amazing. It’s perfect for work because its not crazy thick fleece. Its this lightweight super soft fleece that’s perfect so I’m never too hot or too cold and constantly taking my jacket on and off.

I am obsessed. The monogram is top notch and the EKG rhythm is not some wonky rhythm like V fib that you see on some designs that were clearly made by someone who has never seen a NSR. LOL. I love this jacket! Great work!.

Extremely slow, I ordered in Nov18. Still waiting as of today, Dec 11. If I knew all the sale is final without refund or exchange and with this speed for the price, I would not buy it. I would not recommend this jacket to anyone.

The jacket is beautiful. I don’t know the longevity yet because I just got it but it is port authority brand which I have some things from and it lasts pretty long. \n\nThis jacket is fitted (for the women) so size up.

Australian gynecologists Dr. Reg Hamlin, deceased and his wife Dr Catherine Hamlin went to Ethiopia for 3 months in 1959 and then the plight of poor patients especially those suffering from obstetric fistula, broke their hearts.

While most people get frustrated and give up when they start any philanthropic organisation, this pair was unstoppable. With tremendous selfless dedication, the couple built a hospital in Addis Ababa, the capital of Ethiopia.

The hospital is still functioning and providing healthcare and training to local and overseas doctors.

This is a fascinating story of some incredible work done by amazing people, I was so impressed by Dr Catherine Hamlin and what she and her husband set out to do and have achieved in Ethiopia. Even after her husband’s death Catherine continued to work with compassion and skill improving the lives of women, an amazing Australian.

This has to be one of the most touching accounts of a lifetime spent in Ethiopia working to give love and hope to so many talented women whose suffering turns to joy and courage. The Christian sense of loving and healing of the Hamlins is generous and rare!.

First time playing Two Point Hospital on any platform and I’m now a fan. The illnesses are hilarious and the way the characters are treated for them are just as funny. I loved the RollerCoaster Tycoon games as a kid and had a Hospital game similar to this on PlayStation 1.

I would definitely recommend this game to anyone that likes the tycoon type games.

If you remember “Theme Hospital” on the PS1 then this game is for you. I’m having a blast playing it on the PS4 and in some ways, it’s better than TH so if you’re a fan of TH, I recommend this game highly.

I wish someone would do a version of “Sim City” for the PS4!.

I am curvy, and expecting baby#3 with a noticeable bump. I purchased the Melrose, Pacific and Newport Ave pants. These fit the best of the 3. Surprisingly the elastic band also has an inner drawstring, and I still feel like I have room to grow in it.

I got a size M, and although it fits me very well in the hips and butt areas I feel like my legs are swimming down below. I’m 5’ 4”. I really wish that the bottom portion of the pants were just slightly tapered in from the hip or knee area.

I suppose I could take in the bottom an inch or so for it to feel more comfortable, but I don’t know if I want to go through all that trouble. I might see if I can fit into a size S and just wear it below my belly.

I am a fan of scrubs with cargo pockets, but I didn’t think I would like these with the stitched front crease/seam. Glad I tried them anyway. In person it isn’t as noticeable.

These scrub pants are pretty nice! I received a free sample of the black Pacific Ave scrub pant in exchange for my review. The fit seems like a modern fit and the waistband sat right at my hips. The pants were form-fitting in my thighs.

My dress size is a 10 and I received a medium. I felt that my measurements were on the upper limit of the pant’s size chart, making the medium true to size. The pants look and feel like dress slacks.

The fabric seems heavier in weight, compared to the likes of Cherokee Work Wear scrub pants. The Pacific Ave pants have a stretchy, breathable fabric which seems like they won’t rip or tear. These pants held up nicely after 2 washes so far.

There are two regular hip pockets, but they seemed a bit snug on me. There are 3 cargo pockets on the right pant leg, with one big one and two outer ones. Overall, I am highly satisfied with these scrub pants.

I would definitely recommend them to my friends and coworkers. I’ll more than likely buy another pair since the price seems reasonable for the quality of the pants.

I received the Ave Scrub Top and Pants for free in exchange for my opinion on it. I am a medical student and am fairly new to wearing scrubs. The first thing I noticed about these particular scrubs was the weight of the material was heavier than most and felt more like casual wear than scrubs.

This is a plus in my opinion. I have already washed and dried them several times and they launder great. No wrinkles or shrinkage. Pockets galore. Also, love the color black for scrubs, instead of the typical drab blue.

The only difference I noticed with these scrubs is they seem to fit more like regular clothes than scrubs. Meaning they are more fitted through hip and thighs and even a bit tight in the waist. I am normally a small, but would consider sizing up in these.

absolutely fantastic. my trust has just changed to the standard hospital blue,i like extra uniforms. The sizing charts completely 100% accurate. Delivery within 2-3 days even at these difficult times.
