20 Best Hospital For Knee Replacement (2023 Updated)

This very flexible brace works for me. Since I have needed knee replacement surgery for two years now but have not gotten it done due to other health issues that needed taking care of first this brace has given me time leeway.

One brace does not solve all the problems when someone gets to point where I am at. Braces tried and used include Mueller Self Adjusting Knee Stabilizer, Incrediwear Knee Sleeve, Elastic Slip-on Cotton Fabric Knee Pain Support Sleeve, and the Non-Slip Knee Wrap for Athletic Support and Arthritis Pain.

At different times they all serve a purpose. This particular one works the best for long day, getting stuff done around the house. Probably because it is so flexible. Yes, it needs to be readjusted several times during the day.

But even when it gets scrunched up it still provides good support. And it’s flexible. that’s why it works.

My wife has needed a knee replacement for a few years but her Dr says she is too young and wants to wait a few more years before doing the replacement. She has tried at least 5 – 6 different types / brands and these have been the best so far.

They stay in place and they support her while walking better than any of the others. So far, we have bought 3 of these and the only reason is the Velcro starts to not hold after 6-8 months of everyday use.

Because the cost is reasonable, it’s a no brainer to have an extra one around. Plus we write them off for medical use on our taxes.

This is so comfortable. It doesn’t slip and the amount of support is sufficient for my not very severe knee problem. My therapist had not seen this particular brand before but she was very impressed.

I ordered a size small which is fine for me. I weigh about 125 pounds so I cannot speak to how true the sizing is.

I don’t know how it works. but it really does!! It literally helps instantly! The masseuse at my doctor’s office told me about how great this brace was, so I tried it. I bought the first one back when it was called incredibrace.

It worked so well that I didn’t want to take it off and do without it, while it was in the laundry. So I went out and bought two more so I could rotate them through the wash and not be without one. I have a small business and work on my feet all day.

It started becoming increasingly painful and difficult due to a knee injury I sustained in my youth. I found out through an MRI a few years ago I have a torn meniscus that will require surgery and rehab to fix it.

This brace has helped me to postpone having the surgery for more than 3 years now. I am very happy with how well they hold up. I wear one every single day and even though they are starting to get a little worn, they are still holding together and work as well as they did when I first got them! I have told other people that have tried them with the same result I’ve had.

If you have a painful joint that needs a brace, you should definitely try one. you will not regret it!.

Purchased the fingerless glove after reading up in their claims and found them extremely disappointing. It does nothing for my hand and I’ve worn it for long stretches hoping it would do as they say with no results.

It’s just like wear a regular cotton winter glove. Waste of time and money.

Nice knee sleeve with built in light-weight supports medially and laterally. Fits well – not sure it made too much difference recovering from ACL, MCL, and meniscus injury. Compression in general just feels better.

But I can’t say this product was miraculous or even better than the inexpensive tube sleeve given at P. T.

The knee support is kind of doing the job and holding everything together while I strengthen my upper leg muscles again. It’s hard to pull on, though, and get that little knee cap donut in the right place.

AND taking it off is impossible after a workout when I’m sweaty. They ONLY way to do it is pull it inside out, which it tells you not to do. I have high riding knee caps and so I have to pull it up extra high and so I have muffin tops which are quite embarrassing.

When they are particularly bad I wear a running skort to cover them (especially after a friend made quite an unkind comment). It’s early days to know if this is going to do the job. I did use the online sizing guide and app but I think it may have pointed me to a size too small.

But they are so expensive, the thought of buying 2 more in the next size up does not thrill me.

Purchased to use for Taekwondo training. I have been using Elastoplast for the past 5 years due to them being more economical which did the job more or less but after using Bauerfeind I would never use anything else again.

Very happy, I had a niggling knee issue that has been there for a year now and I’ve always aggravated it more by training. After using the Bauerfeind knee brace I have found that my knee has actually healed whilst training and I am getting less and less pain from it.

Should have bit the bullet a lot sooner in hindsight.

I ordered the Knee Support to help me to continue playing tennis. My Doctor had indicated that I would no longer be able to play tennis after he had examined the X-ray that was taken. After 9 months rest I borrowed a Bauerfeind Knee Support from a neighbour which I found gave me adequate support and confidence to pick up my tennis racquet again.

This was marvellous service by the company and the Courier firm that they used. Have tried out the new Knee Support on the tennis courts today and am thoroughly delighted with it.

I already had a similar style knee brace (a different brand) that has been amazing for me and allowed me to do many activities I otherwise couldn’t. I purchased this one by Curad for summer, thinking it wouldn’t stand out as much when I wore shorts.

However, it just did not provide the same support and it really wasn’t of any use to me. I bought two and will be returning the one I did not use.

I have been using the cheaper $3 knee elastic wraps for my arthritic knee. they were okay but I needed something better so I ordered this. It is very well made. Much higher quality than the cheaper ones.

Immediately when I put it on I felt it grabbing my knee firmer than the ones I was used to. Yet it is very comfortable and not too tight at all. You never know when an item will be out of stock when you need it the most.

So I am buying a few more. Well worth the money!.

The knee sleeve is the most comfortable one I have ever tried, and I have a drawer full of rejects. It really holds my knee, with great comfort.

These are incredible! I’ve had several other elastic type knee braces, braces with cable side supports, and even have some that have a metal hinge. However, these are now my FAVORITE knee braces! Bar none! They are super supportive, are actually “cool” as they breathe well, and I’ve had them for a little over a week.

They fit so well *I’m average sized, but got large size given that the old ones I have were always restricting my blood and making me sweat. But these are very “breathable” and are relatively cool. In fact, I’ve forgotten to take them off twice in the last week given that they are so comfortable.

Another positive attribute is that they stay in place! In my over a week with them, I have NEVER had to pull them up! Not once! That alone makes these a great deal. I HIGHLY recommend.

I had something happen to my knee about a month ago – all of a sudden it just started hurting, sometimes to the point where I couldn’t even walk. I got this knee brace, wore it one day and Wow! absolutely no paid the next day.

Now I wear it to the gym and sometimes at work, but my overall comfort has improved 100% – I would definitely recommend this item. Just one small fly in the ointment – the sleeve has a nasty little sewn-on tag at the top that is really irritating! It digs into your skin and hurts.

I tried cutting it off, but the threads must be f some kind of super-power material, because it still irritates my skin. I’m thinking of putting a small piece of fabric over it and move on. This brace is too fantastic to let a tag bother me – but I still wish they would get smart like some other wholesalers and just print their logo instead of attaching a tag!.

After reading many reviews on sports medicine pages, I ordered this brace from Amazon. It was toted as the best “Over the counter” brace a person could buy who had moderate to severe knee issues. I cannot argue this claim in the least bit! I have a condition in both knees known as “Biceps Femoris Tendinopathy” which has turned me from a very active outdoors person into someone who can barely stand for more than 5 minutes without extreme pain.

I went from hiking 10+ miles in a day, to not being able to go grocery shopping without sobbing in pain. No matter how much physical therapy I have, the pain is still there. I also have Autism, which leads to a intolerance of certain types of sensory input.

One of which is pressure on my knees, more specifically the back of my knees. I have tried so many braces, but haven’t been able to tolerate them for more than 5 minutes without having a meltdown. This brace was a hope and a prayer for me.

I didn’t have high hopes, but I was willing to try it. The brace is so comfortable. I know it is there, but it supports without hurting me or causing my sensory issues to go nuts. The open patella keeps pressure off the knee cap.

Unlike so many braces, the back of the brace is open. The straps touch only the very top and bottom of the back of my knee, and support the tendons well. The brace doesn’t heat up quickly, and doesn’t slide around much (only when I went from sitting to standing and back, which was expected).

This brace didn’t allow my knee to shift about. It kept it in a steady position, and relieved so much pain that was always there. I actually was so overwhelmed on how much better it felt, I started to cry from sheer joy.

I was able to go shopping. When I took the brace off and rested, I could feel the difference between the braced knee, and the unbraced knee for days. The knee that had the brace on had a vast reduction in pain overall.

I will be ordering another soon for the other knee.

I am three years past a total knee replacement, with much struggle. After seeking second opinions, I am told that I have an “unstable” knee. It was advised that I lose weight, do specific exercises due to weakened tendons, and wear a knee brace.

One of the physicians supplied me with a brace, but after a few months, I felt that I needed something that would give me greater stability. I found your brace on Amazon, and thought that the adjustability of the four straps would afford me a better fit and feel.

I just ordered my second Vive, after having literally worn out the velcro on the first one. Wearing this brace has helped me immeasureably. I have far less pain and have started being able to do many things I couldn’t do before.

My other option is to have a second surgery to have my knee replaced again. I don’t really want to go through all of that, not to mention that the surgeon can give assurances that it will improve much.

So, right now, my answer is the Vive hinged knee support.

I am facing an eventual knee replacement. I have a variety of braces which have a common problem. Most of the others eventually slide down the leg or are time consuming to put on or don’t give very good support.

Tthis one is better than all the rest. The grippers on braces eventually lose their grip, which is why I just bought a second one as a spare. I’m still experimenting different installations. This one is the best I have, goes on quickly, gives best support.

I apply the lower strap with knee bent, still experimenting. I plan to contact the maker to see if they can supply instructions.

Very informative on preoperative exercise, and about the operation. Some of it is not applied in England. Have only read half this book hopefully will get it finishes before having my knee replacement.

A must have book for anyone who will undergo total knee replacement surgery. It let’s you know what to expect, how to get ready and helps through rehab. It is written by two orthopedic surgeons, one of whom underwent bilateral knee replacement surgery.

It is full of useful information! The exercises are great. It certainly should be read by surgeons and PTs as well, as many do not inform patients what they are facing.

The sponge it okay, but is rather soft. This Reacher is useless, the jaw pushes off to the side of the rigid piece and easily drops what you are trying to pick up. There are better quality out there.

Had all the tools needed. The only thing I would improve is the scrub brush for the shower. The sponge is very soft, so it doesn’t clean so well. Would be better if it had a scrubby side or was more like a poof.

This is a solid piece of equipment. I certainly feel safe walking around with it on. I’ve walked about 6km in it at this point and my only point for potential buyers is that the cross-over straps at the back of the knee do pinch if you have the knee bent for too long.

I have a manual car and drove to work in it after sitting with my knee bent watching tv and I felt it pinch a bit when changing gears. It’s not a big thing as it’s fine walking – but it’s the only negative I can think of.

I purchased the Ultra Knee Support With Bilateral Hinges. I had my ACL replaced approximately 10 months ago. At first I had a hotspot on the inside of my knee. However, I wore it for a couple hours at a time prior to putting it to the test.

The first outing I was able to hike 10 miles through mountainous terrain in complete comfort. The support is excellent! I was so satisfied I ordered a second brace for my other knee to take skiing. The second brace fit like a glove right out of the package This is the third brace I’ve tried, and strongly recommend adding it to your list.

The packaging is very honest about it not being overyly comfortable, but very supportive. I just bought it for snowboarding for a bit of extra support on a weak knee. Has good movement (maybe 3-5 deg short of full bend), and probably more support than I expected, which is good.

But yes, it’s not something you would forget is there, doesn’t hurt, but defiantly not comfortable, which is fine, as advertised. Sizing i feel right in between medium and large on measurements, and i went medium which was too small, but exchanged no problem.

and large is good size for wearing on skin or over thermals.

Bought this to see how it performed, as alternative to Kinesio Taping. Used for a long cycle ride, I found that after about 2-3 hours the edging to the knee hole exerted painful pressure on the kneecap.

It was a learning exercise, so I’ve learned that I will need to restrict its use to shorter activities.

Just the right compression, for the knee very comfortable and lightweight, also very breathable. Brilliant product.

I’ve now used my knee brace for 3 moderate hikes. It’s provided excellent stability and relieved the pressure from my knee. It’s support bracing on the sides moves very smoothly without some of the problems I’ve had with hinged hardware.

It also has a design that’s not bulky at all. Make sure to measure carefully, I rounded up a little on my measurement and it is a snug but not uncomfortable fit.

I have been using the wrap on my right knee for bursitis pain for about 10 days now. I really feel I have received benefits already! The wrap is easy to put on quickly and since most of my day right now is working from home sitting at a computer I can use it several times a day.

I like to wear it for 30 minutes before bedtime because my knee has always been the most painful during the night and especially getting up in the morning. I really know without the T-Shellz wrap I would be much worse.

I’m even planning a bike ride this morning. I’m also playing golf on Friday and I would not even entertain that activity without this purchase! I purchased this device after suffering for 3-4 months with knee osteo-arthritis and a quad tear – with an MRI that said I was ok. I could not walk, seriously. Had 3 drains by the doctor in knee and quad and multiple cortisone injections.

I had a big trip coming up to Utah and could not get off the couch, could not walk. My wife told me to cancel. My R. N. wife and her friend found this device online and I was not hopeful as nothing was helping.

Very tight fit at first and was unsure but it has stretched after the first couple of times and I am very happy with it. Provides support to the knee that has had all the ligaments damaged and pain free the day after lots of walking.

Buying another for my other knee that was dislocated and also sore after exercise. Highly recommended. Actually prefer this over a more expensive brace that I had previously bought.

the first one I purchased was very tight fit so I changed it for larger size XL. I bought two so that I can rotate them with washing occasionally. I have now lost 28 pounds weight and knee size has reduced to 17″ so I need to buy large size this time.

My knee has remained mostly pain free since using the brace so I am very satisfied with it at 88 years of age.

So far, so good. I previously had the older Mueller Hg80 Hinged Knee Brace which was great. This new brace feels like it provides more support however it is a bit more bulky and the hinges stick out a bit which is not ideal as I use it for playing 5 a side.

Would recommend though.

Great product, comfortable and supportive. For anyone thinking of buying one, I would recommend buying slightly bigger as whilst they are long they tend to be on the small side. Physique offer great customer service.

I am disappointed in the effectiveness. Quality of the item is good but I’ve tried 2 different sizes and each of the tops roll down and do not give the support and Pailin relief that I was hoping for , though it may be due to my Leg shape.

This Knee care support is just the job for me. It stays in place and doesn’t roll down. It gives good support on my arthritic knee.would recommend.

As someone who’s had to wear drug store knee braces for the past 15 years snowboarding. I’m happy to say most of them can go in the trash now. The big highlight for me is the comfort level. Nice soft materials that don’t make me itchy and can wear for pretty extended periods without getting too hot.

Even in snowpants and thermal layers so big thumbs up there. Support level is pretty good and maybe is just 1 step down from the standard drug store hinged braces but slightly above the spring elastic hinge ones.

It’s convenient that the hinges are easily removed and it basically becomes the standard compression brace. My biggest complaint is just in sizing. I initially ordered the xl and they were wayyyyyy too small.

Traded in for the XXL and they fit better but I still feel like they wanna slide down my leg. I do kind of have tree trunk thighs but only slightly above their recommended measurement for the XXL. Overall I’m very happy.

Gives me the support with the hinges that I need snowboarding and can also be a daily compression brace that’s quite comfortable even if it does need the occasional yank up. Easy return and exchange process as well.

Just wish there was a xxxl!.

When the gyms closed in spring of 2020, I had to switch to outdoor (pavement) running. My right knee was not happy about the transition. I bought one of these in April of 2020 and it was tremendously effective, and I have been able to get in 5-6 mile runs 4 or 5 days of the week since then.

No more knee pain whatsoever! I had to ding it a star for falling apart starting in July of 2021. I was very careful with it, only ever handwashed it. But I guess these things only really last about 15 months.

A manager at the Arcadia REI recommended this for my left knee which I injured descending Mount Wilson. Not bragging. It took me 45 minutes longer than my fellow Sierra Club Wilderness Training Course participants so the sun went down by the time I was descending and hence my knee injury.

I used it at North Rim Grand Canyon and for my daily workouts and thank the Lord it has prevented further damage to my left knee.

This item was great. Have been feeling a lot of knee pain, almost as if it is about to give out and wants to hyperextend. With this brace it felt completely secure and there was no pain after my hikes.

Only negative is that the back of my leg/knee got a bit irritated from the sweat—nothing serious though. Overall, saved me from tons of pain and has secured my knee.

I got this Ace Knee Stabilizer about 1. 5 years ago, when I started to develope knee problems. I wear this every day. sometimes even to bed if I’m in a lot of pain. It helps me walk without so much pain.

It’s easy to adjust, has breathable material is easy to put on remove. I recently upgraded to the Ace Knee Stabilizer with side stabilizers, but I still wear this often. It’s been a huge help I definitely recommend it.

I am 5′ 115lbs. and I ordered a medium because I didn’t want it so tight that it cut off the circulation. The top and bottom of it are so tight that it makes my legs hurt. Every time that I walk or move around some, it slides down my legs and I have to pull it back up.

I will not be wasting my money again.

The brace even though small is too big. Can’t get it to be tight and stay in place. If you are small person it doesn’t work. Need to have extra small.

I was asked to review earlier but it was the first day the product was received so I am back to provide a review after we have been using the product (Unable to edit previous review). This little unit truly IS the best thing since sliced bread as they say! It is sitting on a stool right next to us and it is so quiet that we hardly even notice it is running.

The setup is extremely easy and I read in other reviews about some leaking – we have not seen a drop of water leaking anywhere. The materials are solid and top notch. I read tips to freeze 12 oz water bottles to use instead of ice and that is working like a charm.

SO much nicer not having to use ice. We fill the unit with water and 4 frozen water bottles and we only have to replace the frozen water bottles once to get through the entire day. This is being used for a knee replacement and it works incredibly well and so much better than using ice packs.

I am so glad we discovered this unit and we could not be more pleased with every aspect of using this. If I could give this product a 10, I certainly would.

This product is easy to use and is adaptable since one can obtain several different cold pads that are designed for different body parts. The ice lasts quite a long time and provides steady cooling. The unit is easy to fill and carry around.

When running it is very quiet. The pads connect to the unit through leakproof connectors located on the hose stubs of each pad and on the long hose that is part of the pump/cooling unit. It requires no servicing beyond keeping it clean.

A great choice.

This product, the ice system combined with the knee pad, is phenomenal. After surgery, my daughter could not have recovered anywhere near as quickly as she did without this system. I ordered the XL size because I was told it could easily adjust to a smaller size and that was great advice.

She is slender and athletic but the XL adjusted down to her requirements. I would recommend this unit for anyone who has to undergo surgery, endure physical therapy or suffers from arthritis. It keeps the joint cool without totally numbing allowing continuous rehab.

The system does not leak. The cuff Velcros into place with no need to adjust as is the case with traditional bulky ice packs. I know others who have benefited from the hip pad and the shoulder pad. All of us agree it was worth the investment.

Have two of these cubes. One for y wife who had total knee replacement and the other was a gift for our oldest son (combat veteran) with knee and back injuries. Both of of them say how great it is to be able to get relief and use whenever they want.

Not sure if anyone has shared this trick but, we use 4 16oz (500ml) water bottles that we freeze and reuse. Keep 4 in the freezer and 4 in the cube. Last all day in providing relief. Swap them out I the morning with the other 4 in the freezer.

Have a continuous source of ice. We also use filtered drinking water to fill. Really can’t say enough good things about the cube and the pads. They are a blessing for both of my family members. My son uses his on his back and knees and gets amazing relief.

Plus, every once in awhile I sneak my wife’s to get relief for my old back. Orthobacing is a great company to work with!. When I ordered it came promptly despite COVID delays in the delivery system. Thanks for helping my family feel better.

I had been buying the Therall brand knee supports for more than 20 years then, apparently, they were no longer being made and it became increasingly difficult to find old stock on eBay, Amazon and the like.

Few months ago I found these “Actimove” supports. They look and feel just like the old Theralls — they’re perfect! Thanks!!.

I were them every day on both knees. Its the best! I tried so many other ones. Staying on . Never rolling down.

So far, the knee support has been just what I needed. I have only worn a few times as of now. Feels good, too!
