20 Best Hose Spray Window Cleaner (2023 Updated)

My husband and I always used Windex in the past but over the last couple of years, we switched to different brands to try something new. Honestly, we had forgotten how great Windex actually was and we’re so happy to be using it again! The original Windex solution is unbeatable.

I’ve used it on all of my mirrors and indoor windows in my house and they’re always left streak-free and clean for a significant amount of time. I’ve also used it on our kitchen appliances and have included a picture of our refrigerator, where you can see the door on the right two days after cleaning it with Windex and the door on the left two days after it was cleaned with a different cleaner.

As you can see, the Windex leaves surfaces clean for much longer and there are no streaks whatsoever. The solution is powerful enough to where you don’t have to use too much product to get a deep clean so it lasts for a long time and on top of everything, the smell is pleasant and not aggressive or overwhelming at all.

We’re very happy to say that we’re back to using Windex and we’ll be customers for life!.

This has always been a favorite of mine. I’ve tried numerous window cleaners, but always go back to Windex. It works wonderfully, leaving a streak-free shine every time. It’s very affordable and easy to find in most every store.

Recently, I’ve found even more uses for it, other than just window cleaning. I’ve found it to be a useful additive in many different cleaning mixtures (Pinterest recipes), such as DIY upholstery cleaning solutions.

Works great no matter what you’re cleaning! Love it and would highly recommend it.

It works great. It easily takes away water spots, the toothbrush water that somehow always ends up on the bathroom sink mirror as well as the water spots from using my soap dispenser. I use on all of the mirrors in my home.

In my daughter’s rooms I am able to wipe away makeup and fingerprints. When I had carpet this was my secret go to stain remover. I have used it to quickly and efficiently stop stains from chocolate milk to grape juice stains.

I have even used it to get food stains off of my cushions at the table. I like how easy and versatile it is to use. I also clean my windows in the house, my storm doors inside and outside as well on the glass in my China cabinet and picture frames.

It helps deter dust from sticking to the glass surfaces in my home. I really like knowing that I am doing my part to help keep the planet clean. Using this spray makes me feel safer during this pandemic.

I used it before the pandemic and will continue to use this after.

I really enjoy writing these reviews , so here we go. Now my wife loves these electric gadgets , power washers which ruin my patio , steam cleaners which have ruined my new kitchen cupboards and now a Glass / window cleaner.

What could possible go wrong or how could she destroy a window. Well it does help if you are not vertically challenged to begin with as standing on a set of step ladders could be dangerous whilst trying to clean tall windows.

It does a fantastic job of hoovering up windows with condensation on them and the special liquid supplied also does a brilliant job of getting rid of dirty windows , even in the corners. I will stop the wife from buying any more electrical products as I end up using them including a carpet vax as she now has a bad back.

I can be seen at 6′ 4″ with this yellow machine doing our windows but please do not ask me to do yours as I am far too busy but it does speed the job up having one of these gizmo’s and looks pretty cool aswell.

There is no doubting that this product together with a window vac are a great way to clean your windows. And lets face it, even at this price for the cleaning product, it’s a lot cheaper in total to do the windows yourself across the lifetime of the machine than pay a window cleaner.

I find that I end up dry buffing a few smears out but the end result is very good. The task is neither overly time consuming nor in any way onerous. I also find this system good for cleaning Velux windows which seems beyond some window cleaners and has in any case to be done from inside the house.

So, would I recommend this product to you if you already own the window vac? Yes I would, with our reservation.

I recently purchased the newest model of the Karcher brand window vacs, the WVP10 model. This liquid cleaner came in the package with the machine. I tried it out on some really dirty exterior windows, even though I bought this to use in our bathroom, since we have a LOT of glass.

This really cut thru the bugs and dirt. It has a really nice fresh scent to it also.

This is one of my best purchases to date. You do not have to dry the windows and they do not streak. You simply spray your window with a water hose, use the pad and pole attachment to clean the window, then rinse.

I cleaned my entire house (26 outside windows) in less than an hour with only two pads (only one pad comes in the starter kit, so buy a pack of the refills). My windows had not been cleaned in a very long time, which is why I used two pads.

The next time, it will only take one to complete the whole house. The cleaning agent is also in the pad already, so no spraying a cleaner or even worrying about that. Amazing product!!! Absolutely worth it!!!.

I used to use just the spray attached to hose, but then found the pads. They are awesome and feel they get the windows much cleaner since you have a little bit of some abrasion against the window to remove the winter grime I live in Colo.

so the winter dirt easily comes off usually with a good wetting, cleanser pad and rinse. I can really clean 18 windows (with screens removed) in a couple of hours. I have been using these for years. Don’t mind doing the window cleaning.

The item itself works great, but there are absolutely NO refill pads available for purchase through mainstream retailers. I tried Amazon, Walmart, Target, Ace Hardware, and Tractor Supply and NONE of them had the refill pads for this.

I found them on eBay for $23 a pad, which is more expensive then buying another kit. If this product had refill pads available, it would be a 5 start product, but it’s a one hit wonder as it stands now.

I love this product! It is the windex formula we all know and love but the foaming version, it clings to the surface of wherever you spray it and wipes away clean. I use this on probably more surfaces than was intended; I use it on mirrors, windows, glass tables, the stove top, the microwave and literally anywhere that shines.

I use two microfiber cloths, one to clean then one to dry for that unbeatable shine. I cannot recommend this enough, if you haven’t tried it, you should! I always keep it stocked as it is that good!.

Amazing clear see through glass with this product. I’m not kidding, this is hands down the best streak free window cleaner on the market! It cleans mirrors crystal clean with no residue or smears. I also spary my whole sink and chrome spigots and wipe them down to a sparkling shine.

You can not go wrong with this window cleaner. Costs a little more than but it actually works! Works better than the original spray.

This is the best foam glass cleaner I have found. There are no streaks, no film of any kind. I use it throughout the house, but I’m most impressed with the way it cleaned our internal and external windows.

All you have to do is spray and wipe. So much better than the traditional Windex liquid spray bottle. Easier to use and distributes the cleaning liquid more evenly. The best window cleaner there is. So happy to find this and I highly recommend this product for all your household needs.

I used this on a very dirty mirror that I found at a thrift store. For this to work well, the motion you wipe is important. Best way is to wipe horizontally, carrying the motion downwards. The cloth you wipe with also matters.

These are the ones I tried & how well each one worked. Microfiber cloth – worked okay at first, but cloth got dirty midway so it was a hassle to wash it. Some streaks. Dried out clorox wipe – left a lot of streak Toilet paper – as expected, not durable enough to withstand moisture.

Left dusty residue. Paper towel – No streaks. Could switch to a fresh one if previous towel got dirty. Time & performance-wise, the BEST one. I’ll keep buying this brand, since it’s as good as the name brand that is 2x more expensive.

I love the Up & Up brand, but this particular product does not do it for me. Leaves lots of streaks. I will be going back to brand name Windex.

I hesitate to try different cleaners. I felt that the cleaner I used previously left streaks on my surfaces. I tried this and it works great. No streaks and it smells refreshing too!

I just bought a very expensive new Toyota Tacoma and decided I would try to maintain this one better than my past new vehicles. read about Chemical Guys in an online forum and decided leathe cleaner and glass cleaner were to top of my list.

I have tried windex and paper towels on past vehicles and all I get are splotchy streaks as an end result. Note I paired this glass cleaner with a glass specific micro fiber towel (the waffle patterned red one sold on this site).

I suspect my results are a combination of the cleaner and the micro fiber towel, but not sure if the deserve equal credit or not. Anyway, wow, cleaned my wife’s windshield and mine and the results are amazing.

this product has the cleaning power of vinegar yet the other scents added give it a pleasant smell. yes it does still have vinegar undertones however it is short lived and no matter how much of it I use it doesn’t bother me.

as far as its cleaning abilities it works wonders. I spray it on my glass shower door, leave it for a few seconds then use a glass squeegee to remove all the hard water buildup. the water here is harder so after just a few showers you can see the buildup on the doors.

I have had no problems with it cutting through anything. I highly recommend getting a good squeegee as this will protect your glass and give you that streak free shine. the product works great on glass doors and tables as well.

I’m not one who leaves reviews, especially for cleaning supplies. Who’s got time for that?! I have been purchasing boxes from Grove for over a year and I always love everything! But this. ! This cleaner is so amazing that I have stopped halfway through my cleaning to leave a review! I will start off by saying that the smell of vinegar disgusts me.

It actually makes me gag and I’m on the verge of vomiting. I’ve tried every glass cleaner on the market, including vinegar based (all which end up in the trash because of the smell), and nothing cleans my mirrors to my satisfaction.

I have a very large Pottery Barn wall mirror with iron pieces dividing it (so it makes 25 little squares) plus similar divided mirrors from Ballard Design. They always look streaked especially when the sun hits them.

Super disappointing to me! Today I used Aunt Fannie’s Glass and Window on these mirrors and the results were jaw dropping. I am simply amazed! No streaks whatsoever and the smell is not bad at all! Yes, I get a whiff of vinegar but it’s not overbearing.

The essential oils make it very tolerable and refreshing. I also tested this product out on our bathroom mirrors, one belonging to my 3 teens, and with little effort, the mirror is sparkling! I actually didn’t clean the very top (trying to avoid getting a step stool) and I could see a foggy film at the top of the mirror from where I previously cleaned it a few days ago! I am definitely stocking up on 2-3 bottles of this next time.

I have never been a fan of cleaning with vinegar just because of the scent. When I saw this product, I had to give it a try to see if any better than other brands I use (also eco-friendly). Well, it definitely works very well on most glass surfaces.

Windows are clear; mirrors sparkle, and even the windows in my car shine! You just have to get beyond the vinegar scent (which does not linger for long). A little goes a long way – much less spray needed than other brands.

Only thing I will say (thus, the four stars), is that it does not do very well on even slightly warm windows. I have sprayed a backdoor with it when the panes were slightly warm – it streaked horribly.

To combat this, I now clean the windows in the early morning. That takes care of the problem. Same thing with car windows (yes, I was not thinking and sprayed them when they were hot – took me a while to get them streak free).

So, just make sure whatever you spray is cool to the touch. This is a great addition to a cleaning arsenal!.

Have washed own car over 30 years. Windows are the hardest part to clean and leave hazy-free. Have used leading and store brand window cleaners and each has their flaws, doesn’t remove road grime or leaves windows cloudy.

Well, I rarely leave a review for products yet this one deserves one. The best window cleaner I have ever used. Used with an old newspaper, this product really did leave windows invisible, crystal clear without haze.

And usually stay clean for several days. I recommend this window cleaner tremendously. Will be my first option when windows need cleaning.

After years of using Windex and other cheap glass cleaners that left streaks and film I discovered Invisible Glass and now use it exclusively for my auto detailing business. It gets auto glass sparkling clean every time and my customers have remarked on how great their auto glass looks after application.

I do use a special lint free optician’s soft blue cloth which removes every bit of spray and liquid and I never use any paper towel product. My wife is sensitive to chemical smells so I always use Invisible Glass outside.

I have never noticed a residual smell. Again a wonderful product overall!.

Zep makes incredible cleaners and this one is no exception. I’ve found that one can dilute it (as it tends to be a bit strong) and it works just as well. For the most part it’s streak free and seems to polish up the glass very well.

It also lasts a very long time. One barely needs to use a spray or two for an entire window. Tip: Shop around for the best prices as it can vary greatly.

My sunroom has soft vinyl windows which had become cloudy from moisture setting on the surface, plus the windows were once cleaned with simple green. not a good idea. This ZEP product cleaned the dirt from the surface and now I have clear windows again.

I used to use this as a maintenance person and was so bummed that I couldn’t get it for my home. It was the best streak free window cleaner I have ever had and now I can get it at the store. I absolutely love this product.

I just wish I could get the spray cleaner, also, for counter tops and my kitchen and bath!.

the problem isn’t with the product, it’s with the packaging. the product works just fine it’s not spectacular but it does what it’s supposed to, if you can only get it out of the can. I have bought several cans and each one work fine for the first couple of uses, then you have to throw 90% of the product away because the aerosol no longer works.

I love this glass cleaner but the sprayer on this can is awful. I have tried 2 different cans and it’s the same results both times. The sprayer doesn’t clog it just stops working. I recommend the original size can or the one in a spray bottle.

is the OG. I had this glass cleaner for 3 years and this cleans all my mirrors And my car windshield. I don’t care how feel. I hate buying car windshield wiper when this baby does the job. The spray is so fine and it has no ammonia.

Nothing beats windex for those annoying glass and mirror stains. but it can be used for so much more honestly! It’s an excellent cleaner for surfaces, countertops, metals, oily and greasy residues and an excellent bathroom cleaner as well! It will leave your kitchen and bathroom literally sparkling and shiny as well as your mirrors and glass without leaving any streaks! It’s a well known brand have been using it for years.

Holy what the Christmas where has this been the last few years. maybe it was around but being a busy working mom of two windows were the last thing on my worry list. Being home all summer now that I’m part time I’m getting around to that honey do list.

Windows have been on it for over a week so I grab some Windex Outdoor Spray at home depot. Decided today was the day since I had a few hours with just our older child and the weather shifted from rain to part sun.

Took me about an hour to do the full outside but because I had to move my hose and I was also switching in and out of flower feeder. have to say I’m shocked! Our windows look great!!!! Shhh. I even left the screens on because hello they needed a cleaning as well.

Just told my husband I’m going to get another two bottles to take to our cottage and do the windows there! Couldn’t be happier and will for sure be sharing my new kept secret!!.

There is no substitute for cleaning windows and wiping them clean. This product looks like it cleans the windows when there is no sunlight coming in, but when the sun shines on them, I notice a fair bit of spotting.

No substitute for wiping clean. But the product is okay for upper floor windows that you cannot otherwise reach.

Clean Exterior of house and windows. I have white siding and was surprised at how well it cleaned the surfaces. Just follow the instructions and you will have not problems. If you are doing the whole exterior of your home I would purchase the refill bottle at the same time.
