Best Horde Warrior Race Legion (2024 Updated)

I give this expansion 4 stars due to this being an almost “required” buy-in if you wish to play the game competitively. Personally, it greatly frustrates me that Wookiees would be meta in an army that thematically should normally be composed of Clones and Jedi – hopefully, that will be addressed in future rule updates.

Other than that personal bias, however, this is indeed a solid kit, with nice sculpts and powerful units.

Great kit. Only down side is you cannot make enough minis to create the two units you get cards for and the heavy weapon options. If you get two boxes you actually only need about 30 pieces from the second box to kit out all the options you need and two full units of wookies.

Enjoy the build though, great fun.

I play Rebels in Legion, so I was excited to see the updated sculpts and options included in this box. I am a huge fan of the new hard plastic models: not only are there more options than the original Wookie unit for Rebels, but the models are cleaner and give greater flexibility in assembly.

Everything is in there. Looks great. Quick assembly. Easily painted

Great models, but a lot of bent staffs. Pretty easy to fix with some hot water.

Have always love the Imperial Guard since I was a kid and now have them in my hand. Look awesome in my books, great buy.

If you want to roll all of your attack dice in one go, this pack is for you. There aren’t enough included in the core set for some of the larger dice pools, requiring you to track your rolls as you reuse the same dice to continue an attack.

Does that make them an essential purchase? No. But it is convenient for those of us who are short-term memory challenged.

Naturally, if you don’t play Star Wars Legion you won’t need these per se, but I’ve always loved the simplicity and strategy in dice made for FFG games, and these are no exception. Huge fan, highly recommend.

For legion you will need another dice pack after the starter. Well you dont have to but it makes things soooo much easier

Who doesn’t love the airspeeder? very detailed model. only “downside” is there isn’t a lot of modeling to do. The airspeeder is mostly assembled. so could be a downside, could be an upside depending on how you like to model.

I haven’t painted it yet but boy am I going to make it look great. I am so excited to own this epic speeder from my favorite star wars fight scene in Empire strikes back. “Echo base this is Rogue Two.

As expected, a good sculpt, nice packaging and in pristine condition. My all-time favourite SW vehicle.

Warhammer is an amazing immersive game and the models are incredible. Players can either participate in the gaming aspect or you can just enjoy the hobbying of put them together and giving a great paint job! No matter how you choose to play, GamesWorkshop has created, and continues to create, in depth detailed models that are so superb in the detailing that you would be proud to display them anywhere.

in a glass case or on the table murdering your opponent. I play Grey Knights and this was for my husband for Christmas who plays a faction of chaos called Iron Warriors. I love the motion aspect of the raptors.

They look like you can see them cutting across a battlefield, swords raised, guns aimed and a look of murderous focus in their eyes. I cant wait to face them across the table with my dread knight ready to throw down.

Chaos Space Marine Raptors are a solid addition to an army. Great deigned figures, fun to build and paint.

The SW Legion Figures are well proportioned and it is nice too actually have alien figures in the squad. I do not know what glue works best on the plastic as Humbrol liquid glue does not work, Super glue seems too work fine.

I am not a fan of the chunky bases in the box, but use what works for you.

Great sculpts with lots of detail. Only downside is the 2 characters making buying multiples a little awkward.

Cool unit, the sculpt is great and the box art/components are all up to scratch. Currently not the best unit in the game, but production quality is top shelf.

Easy to build and very evocative of Star Wars. Only issue I’ve had is with putting in magnets for the weapons, but since that’s optional, not gonna take points off for it.

I didn’t realize this was slightly different then the one in the starter box too!

This is the 3rd or 4th Warp I have attempted to use. As a youth coach and HS coach I can tell you that the Warps are awesome for new players. Consistency is unmatched. As a long time player, I loved what warp might be able to provide for that same consistency, but struggled with the lack of hold, or having to feel like I was compensating for lack of hold at certain arm angles.

Or that I had to adjust for how the ball might hit my pocket on a tough catch leading to a shot or quick pass. Or a tough gb that required m to quickly snap the stick up to my head for protection before a pass was to be made.

Just could not get it to “feel” the same as a head with a good mesh pocket that throws the way I want (currently using an Evo 5 that is strung by a friend who has earned the nickname- stick whisperer.

That said, PROBLEMS SOLVED with Burn Warp Pro 2. Using the Whip 1 set up. Right out of the gate the pocket has tremendous hold at any angle. The combination of the new materials that they are using on the pocket and the shape of the pocket, in conjunction with a tight face of the head itself, and wham- you have an amazing stick for kids at any level of play, and certainly all the way through college or club guys.

Anyone can use this stick and be pleased with the results -well maybe not fogos, but that is not the audience for this stick. Passes are very consistent. Shooting is also consistent. And I’m no longer limited by having to compensate for the ball having to end up in a certain spot of the pocket before I just rip it.

Previously only the Fatboy Warp was similar in results. but the narrow head isn’t legal for play at all levels. And even then. some compensation had to be made IMO. Only reason it’s not a 5 star review: Originally, I ordered a Whip 2 as I learned that Whip 1 was just to early a release for this guy when rearing back to rip it.

I had to compensate. Whip 2 was good enough and still came out hot and high when feeding etc. However, I found that this version of materials, Whip 2 (at least for what was delivered on my first order) was waaaaay whipier than anything Id ever used from Warp before.

Replacement of a Whip 1 solved that. In fact, Id say that Whip 1 on this model is more like Whip 2 on other models. but the results are in fact; awesome. Great job by the folks at Warrior on this one.

The Burn Warp Pro 2 is as close to other mesh products, but with the consistency you want, the hold you want, and what seem like additional speed of shot. then any of its predecessors.

Lots of people told me to stay away from the WARP however with no reviews or anything on the WARP 2 I figured I had to give it a try. I was tired of the inconsistency depending on my release point and from stick to stick on my many normal mesh strung heads.

This head is the most consistent head I”ve owned which was what I was looking for. The live chat support helped me with my decision and knew all of the warranty info and all sorts of facts varying between a very diverse selection of heads.

It also only took me about 2 maybe 3 days to fully get used to the WARP, the extra day (from 2 to 3) being the sidearm shot as it is different when compared to mesh sticks since mesh strung heads have a tendency to have more whip shooting sidearm (compared to overhand or underhand) vs the WARP where it has the same maybe a little less on sidearm shots.

If you have the problem of the ball coming out on sidearm because your used to the whip of a mesh head on a sidearm shot then I would recommend pushing a little more with your top hand to create the power as this worked for me.

I personally got the Whip 3 as I like a fair amount of whip on my shots. Whip 3 honestly is nothing too crazy and even if its too much for you there is always the 15day satisfaction guarantee where you can switch it out for a Whip 2.

I bought this after using the old burn and saw that the old burn warped very quick. So after purchasing this product it shows that it is a huge improvement. It is very warp resistant and allows you to stay on as a Faceoff guy.

Only bad thing about this head is it’s wide head shape which makes quick clamps more difficult.

The look and weight of this watch is perfect! I’d been looking for months for a quality, casual, lady-like watch with the Black Knight, Army A, or West Point logo on it for a reasonable price. My wrists have always been small, so sometimes casual watches can look bulky on me.

We need a 22x14x9 carry on bag for american air. This promised 20x8x13 so I thought we were in the clear. The bag arrives and now says 21″ which is fine but the actual measurements are 21x13x9. 5. If we put anything in the front pockets it will be way over the dimensions.

I don’t want to get to the airport and be told to check the bag. Im not sure how forgiving they are being these days. Finding carryons which meet the new luggage requirements is so frustrating. They all claim “carry on” so check your actual measurements!.

I have one purchased this for gift. I liked it so much I wanted someone else to have one. It would also make a great gift to any one going to college. Mine is a NFL bag. We use ours going to games. They make many ways.

Just look up your school or team. We love these.

This mat is bright and beautiful – just like our Hawks! I just wish BBB IT dept was such. I’ve had nothing but trouble trying to create an account and password. Its really too bad because I would shop more if it was easier to log on.

The specifics they give you for a password don’t work. I’ve tried everything. Even speaking with someone from BBB several times who said he would have IT look into it. That was weeks ago.

This game was a vast improvement over X-wing. The chase for cards is minimal which is great. I have only had to buy one out of faction mini so far. This game has a lot less chase to it compared to X-wing.

I don’t feel the need to rush out and buy new units upon release. The game is a little lacking in variety but that comes with it being based on a franchise. Overall solid rule set that challenges you to think and measure your moves.

The minis are good quality but I would liken them more to Mantic games then Games Workshop. It feels like the miniature design philosophy was geared toward easy access instead of dynamic.

As someone who has tried to get into tabletop miniature war games for years, this is the game that makes entry into the hobby a snap. Unlike other major war games like 40k, the rules are not spread out among ever new editions of overpriced hardcover books but on easy-to-read unit and upgrade cards that can be set right there on the table.

The units are easy to dry fit for easy priming and shading before individually painting the parts before gluing the final model. Most of the expansions have the minis precut and individually bagged for easy assembly but some of the newer ones are on sprews so fair warning.

Oh and yes it’s Star Wars. Here’s hoping more pre-Disney EU stuff gets added though.

The core set comes with everything you need to start playing Star Wars legion. The minis are detailed and well designed. Only complaint is the plastic is a bit softer so some parts are bent. Easily fixed but not something you have to deal with in other mini games.

The game is well designed and is much simpler to get into compared to other miniature games with stat cards and upgrade cards. Highly recommend.

Great helmet! I just got back into ice hockey after not playing since 1995. My old Cooper helmet was really hard inside and heavy so wanted to upgrade. I tried on many helmets and this one fit the best and price was in my budget.

I’ve been playing in it since April and love it. Fits perfect, light weight and true to size. I wear a Medium. I added a Bauer Concept clear shield and that attached very easily. Great helmet for the price.

My squirt loves it, especially that he can adjust it on the fly for custom comfort. His last helmet had a buckle on the chinstrap instead of the snap so he struggles with that but he’ll figure it out soon enough.

He paired it with a Bauer Concept III clear face shield which works well on this helmet.

The helmet is very comfortable but the adjustment mechanism can come loose and I had to reroute the wire that came loose on mine. I now check my helmet every time I put it on. Also, it didn’t come with screws for attaching the mask, so I had to take them off of my old helmet.

An excellent set, been around a while now but still looks good. Huge areas to paint (you can go to town on the cloaks and the armour), but they can still be completed quickly.

The models like wonderful, but you don’t get the option for halberds or great weapons with this box.

I am an Adult Rec Goalie and play with a wide range of players, Oldtimers to fairly skilled younger players and all levels in between. I decided to replace my Simmons 996 Chest & Arm, which I purchased in 2013.

After the decision, I spent a lot of time reading and watching reviews on several C&A models. My main goal in a new C&A was upgraded protection as well as not sacrificing mobility. As well, I was conscious of budget.

I eventually spoke with a staff member at The Hockey Shop who, based on my stated criteria, suggested either the Warrior or Bauer Elite Senior C&A. I went to a local shop and tried on both C&A’s and was drawn more to the Bauer.

One of the things I thought was important was a side clip on the back strap, which was present on the Simmons 996. I did not like having to slip on the Warrior like a T Shirt. Also, I felt that the Bauer offered greater mobility.

After more research I decided that the Warrior would have greater protection and that the mobility would be acceptable. Once received, I found the degree of adjustability to be as advertised, very good.

I shortened the arms and adjusted the back straps to raise the front as high as possible. I was a bit concerned that it wasn’t high enough to cover the clavicle portion of my Maltese neck guard. I may work on this more but so far it is acceptable.

I also felt that the unit was bulkier than I wanted and wandered about restricted mobility. I put on the C&A along with my kneepads, jock and pants to get a feel for how all would integrate together.

My preference is to wear the C&A outside of my pants. In this regard I found it very workable, being able to run the pant front laces up through the slots of the front that separate the main chest from side portions.

I ran them through the three loops on the lower front and tied them off. I have worn the unit twice so far in play. I found it very comfortable to wear; the protection so far is great, no stingers have yet to be felt.

Also, my concerns over less mobility were dispelled. There was absolutely no restriction of any movements. Regarding pulling it on as a T Shirt, that has been no issue at all. I have changed my mind on the need for the side strap clip.

Pros: I’m not sure if this is Pro Level, but am pleasantly happy with the protection. It looks sharp, hugs to the body well. I was hesitant to go to Warrior (from Bauer) but no longer. Warrior has also had specials to make the decision easier.

Cons: The chest protector is bulkier than I would have liked. The Pro+ has extra padding for the inside elbow area. This makes it more bulky and restricts my movement. Consider the other model. It may be a little better for arm movement with little compromise to protection.

bought for my 13 year old 14UAA daughter. If anyone has a daughter that plays goalie at the 14u or higher, you know its very difficult to find a chest protector that has “room”. we started with a older model Warrior chest protector when she was 12U.

it started to wear out and she hated the bottom area near the belly as it flares out. 6months ago, we decided to get a vaughn velocity v9. the vaughn was protective but too bulky and limited mobility.

today, we went looking for another chest protector and decided to go the warrior x3 E. lightweight, high mobility, so far good proctection and the bottom of the belly area does not flare out anymore.

the only complaint she has is that the arms are a little long even with adjustment but the chest has room for her. wish we could swap out a Large/XL chest for a M/L arms. Peter, the sales associate, was very helpful in the Anaheim, CA.

Awesome sticks. Current one is going almost 3 years and still going strong, being used 3-5 times a week. Bought 2 more as they were on sale. Should be good for a few more years haha. Havent had the chance to use the new ones yet but id expect the same durability and quality.

This was a 60th birthday gift for me and it rocks. Won 6-1 in its debut performance tonight. Light and balanced but not too light. Doesn’t vibrate when pucks hit it. Worth every penny. Highly recommend.

My daughter used this stick for 1 month and two weeks and bottom is breaking apart. 13 year old not facing very hard shots so I expected this stick to last longer. Pro hockey life will not help either, very poor support.

Purchased the Warrior intermediate RGT2s online approx. 2 months ago now. When they arrived (in decent time) they were in a box for bauer pads. They had no plastic protecting them in the box at all. They were missing the optional toe straps and the carrying strap that is supposed to be included.

Makes me think that they were used and returned and then put back up for sale. The white on the pads was brown from the box as well. Not sure if it is a store issue, or warehouse issue or what…but not happy with it at all, and their customer service takes forever! They wanted me to send a picture of the box they came in more than a month later! box was in the recycle at that point.

Still have no answers yet from customer service…maybe don’t order online…go in store to avoid this kind of situation!!.

My son has moved into adult equipment playing U15AA and was in need of a new set of pads. Moving from 33 +1 to 35 +1. 5 lead to alot of consideration but on hearing they fit smaller than his CCM brand we made the leap.

2 practices and a game in and he was sold. So light and quick with a ton of rebound control he loves them. Seal on the ice is solid. On sale and one gen older made it a great purchase. Only sad they didn’t come with knee pads like most Warrior sets do.

I guess we have to keep shopping for those.

Excellent product for AAA Goalie. Little to none break in period. No issues with slide plate, but can be removed if needed, depending on ability. My son prefers warriors to others we have tried. Easy clip in straps to secure to skate and Velcro options allow for good rotation into butterfly.
