18 Best Honda Civic To Tune (2023 Updated)

I purchased this for my 06 silverado and was satisfied with the results. Haven’t had the chance to take advantage of the 91 because of the prices. I had a ABS SERVICE code that kept coming back and since I installed this it hasn’t returned.

I also needed to set the speedometer because of rear diff change and that worked great. I ordered one for my wife’s 05 suburban too.

The reason for me ordering the DiabloSport Predator 2 tuner was to hopefully adjust some of the shift points and make for a smoother ride in my 2016 Chevy Colorado. Visited the DiabloSport website after reading a lot of good things about the Predator 2 and verified that it would work with my vehicle.

Also went on the Summit Racing website and it listed this tuner as well as being compatible with my truck. Shipped the following day and received it without any problems. Unfortunately when I went to start the tune (after already going through the update as specified in the manual), it comes up with an error saying it is missing the tuning file for my model and make of truck.

Went through the update process again just to make sure everything was current and got a message from DiabloSport that the file for tuning my truck is not available at the time and that I would be notified via email when it was available.

After some time researching this problem on Google and various forums, it is apparent this is a common problem with DiabloSport. There are people that have been waiting over a YEAR to receive the files for their vehicle and have yet to receive them.

Needless to say, if you are looking to purchase this tuner, don’t believe either the DiabloSport website or the Summit Racing website because they are not accurate. Returns process has taken a little over a week to receive the credit to me credit card.

While I place most of the blame on DiabloSport, I feel as those Summit Racing should make sure that the products they say will for certain vehicles, actually work for those vehicles.

I bought mine hoping to tune my 01 C-5. It never would do right. I called holley ( holley ownes the preditor) They said call back in three days which I did. They said they had put a new program in the unit and when I installed it that it would work fine.

I installed it and it was just as bad if not worse than before. You would be better off to open the window of your car and throw the money out at least you would know what happened to it. I paid taxes and all over 350.

00 for the one I have and then I had to pay a man 250. 00 to tune my car. I would be very happy to sell mine foe 100. 00. Any takers??? J U N K ! ! ! ! ! I am sure there are those that say it is a great piece at a great price and that it works perfect.

I am surely not one of those. Buy at your on risk and hope for the best.

Works well when I got it to work! The dynojet tunes are not very descriptive. Also im still having trouble loading tunes from the web site. Currently running a full exhaust yet can only load a slip on pipe tune.

Had a aftermarket fuel programmer and after much searching figured out it was the problem for loading tunes. -m-2014 POLARIS RANGER RZR XP 1000–.

It definitely adds a lot of options to performance. I think the software is kind of on the advanced side and there aren?t any tutorials. I figured out some of the easier things like disabling the speed limiter.

The program that is offered on this really does nothing but you will lose 500 RPM with this as soon as you upload the program. Working with the company to fix the program is like playing cat and mouse.

I would spend a little with extra and go with something else. Works good as a display and shows you what your motor is doing but that’s about it and i believe to can buy that one just for that which is cheaper.

IšverstiShow in original languageI would certainly recommend this tuner for anyone that is looking to find a easy to use and feature packed, easy to use tuner. The revhang delete is a major difference, and the car just feels woken up and more quick even in daily driving.

The tune however was not too much/uncomfortable for daily driving even in sport mode, which I found surprising. Works great with tuner view on the headunit after honda hack. I had an issue while flashing the first time where the flash would stop after about 15% completion and leave my ecu in a suspended state.

I fixed this after calling ktuner which was very quick to answer and hooked a battery charger up to my battery to maintain a stable battery voltage while flashing. Even with this issue, all of the good things about this tuner definitely outweigh all negatives I have experienced.

IšverstiShow in original languagePurchased the KTuner v1. 2 over the v2 to save some money and I don’t regret my decision at all. I had an old android phone laying around so I hooked up to wifi, downloaded tuner view, and I leave that phone in my car to use as my “screen”.

TSP customer service was amazing, at first the stage one tune was not sent to me, but an email and about an hour later i had it in my inbox. I paired the Ktuner with a 27won race maf cai as the first mods to my 2020 si and i cant imagine driving without it now! The tune is amazing, throttle response is amazing, rev hang is gone, launch control is so much fun, map switching is seamless.

Shipping was extremely fast. Love the product, love the tune, loved the customer service! Ill be purchasing future mods from TSP for sure!.

IšverstiShow in original languageI love this tune! I was going to get the 1+ but chickened out in fear of my stock clutch. Clutch slips below 4k rpm in third gear on map 3 sport mode. I do get some pretty loud pops every once in a while even while cruising.

I have a muffler and resonator delete so that might help amplify the volume of the pops. As soon as I flashed the tune and started the car, it sounded happier/freer if you know what I mean. The shipping was insanely fast, 2 days as promised.

Overall, it was a quality experience and will continue to buy from TSP in the future.

IšverstiShow in original languageDiablosport describes the 91 Octane tune, as giving your Jeep increased drive ability, they did not disappoint, the engine was noticeably smoother, my passenger also noticed this as well and commented on the increased smoothness of the ride, and engine.

Along with the drive train as well as if the entire Jeep was somehow changed, as the running gear was noticeably smoother, and more power, much more. It was as if the vehicle was balanced, and smoothed out the power curve, it wasn’t fighting itself at any RPM.

Acceleration even in 5th gear was impressive, going uphill, passing semi trucks like they were standing still. Mileage was only slightly improved, but what was noticeable was the gas gauge was dare I say more linear, in that it marked off the gas usage differently and was impressive because I could see the difference in mileage as I drove, it must be a function of fuel usage, which is noticeable as you drive, and explains the usage difference.

I have a route to another small city 65 miles away, so it allows me a good drive because it’s a climb out of town, with hills and plains on Freeway and State Roads, so I get to test the power as it hits these grades at speed.

My engine had markedly improved in power up these grades. Fuel usage was about the same I can get up to 21 miles a gallon in my 2011 JK Sport, its all about using the right gear, and throttle control, in a manual transmission, the only kind to have in a Jeep, in my opinion.

It gives the ability to choose a gear when stuck, sometime less torque means less slippage, and getting out of a sticky situation, we have all been there. If you have a throttle controller, disengage the controller, as the throttle body boost is changed in this tune and is a parameter you have control over in the improved Predator II Platinum tuner, you do not want to stack control schemes on one another.

Though will test this at a later date to see if they can be used together, as it was with the stock tune. As a retired electronic engineer the software is robust and error free as it has numerous routines that make sure the data gets written correctly, which is something you should consider when buying a tuner, as it can turn you ECU into a brick, if data is written incorrectly.

It has a data integrity routine that constantly runs and checks the data to make sure it writes correctly. So data integrity is a must with any tuner. The data logging capabilities will be tested to see if I can try and eek out any more power out of the engine, as currently comprised, it’s a stock 3.

8L V6 which now performs as it should have from the factory. That they chose such an anemic tune, that I like to call “press the gas and wait,” this is my first drive by wire vehicle and it leaves a lot to be desired as currently comprised in a stock tune and gas pedal control.

As every other vehicle I owned was a mechanical linkage, and you learn to drive by feel as much as see. Those days are gone and my Jeep has power to spare, as it should, since power and throttle should be under your control not the ECU, it must respond correctly and quickly or you feel you are not in control of your vehicle, a bad situation.

The Predator II can also load custom tunes, so these functions will be tested at a later time, after I exhaust this tune and its capabilities, before finding any flaws in the 91 Octane tune that need to be corrected, if any.

The 3. 8L engine likes 91 Octane fuel and should be your fuel of choice, if you want any real power out of your engine that is. You will need to change the tune to get any real performance out of that engine, and its significant, and is done safely.

Since the smoothness of the engine, tells the tale, you will not be disappointed if you choose this tune and a Diablosport tuner, which they claim can increase horsepower by 20 plus ponies, and increased torque significantly which comes on much earlier now than from the stock tune.

A great buy and use with confidence, your Jeep will thank you.

IšverstiShow in original languageFirst let me say that this tuner absolutely does what its intended to do. I went with Diablosport because I use the same product on my 2001 Powerstroke. This is the first gas engine I has used a flash tuner on and to be honest it left a lot to be desired after using the diesel version.

Now that isn’t a fair comparison because of the two being vastly different but it was a bit of a shock as how little the performance gains on the gas engine were. The biggest benefit to this tuner having the 4.

8L was the trans tuning options as terrible trans tuning seemed to be a trend in the mid to late 2000’s era trucks. After several days of adjusting several tuning options I was finally satisfied with how the truck was running for its current setup.

Slightly more power (5% maybe), getting the same MPG as before but way better trans shifting. Overall I’m very happy with the product and still believe that Diablosport makes probably the best flash tuner out there.

This will get me by until the Whipple kit goes on this old girl in the future.

IšverstiShow in original languageI was so excited to when the device showed up at my door! Nice looking unit, good feel to it in your hands. Very user friendly. Good display. So I got on the web and registered and downloaded the updates.

So I take the device out to my truck (2001 F150 4×4 Lariat SuperCrew 5. 4L 330 Cubic Inch V-8) plug the unit in and setup the software request connection with the truck and bam I’m in! No problems at all with software connection.

Upon looking through the available programs that are preloaded by Diablo Predator 2. There’s not much for me to benefit from this programer! 1 performance program, 93 octane. Noticed better off Idle power and the shift points where better, could not honestly say that I noticed the advertised (Guaranteed by Diablo).

So in the end I’m not satisfied at all with the device, it cost me $357 and change to install the one and only modification for performance. The device does not do what the company advertised in my opinion.

I’m hoping that I will be offered some kind of refund or credit to buy something that will satisfy my performance search.

IšverstiShow in original languageSeems to function as advertised so far. Price seems a little high and I do not like the red lighting it emits while ignition on and operating. I hope it saves me from replacing labor intensive lifter/cam replacement until I get the truck paid of.

After that it’s time to perform total AFM delete. I think Summit offers a kit with all the necessary parts to do so. I gave four stars because I haven’t had it long enough to really find fault.

IšverstiShow in original languageThis was a refurbished product. Easy install and removal ( thank you ) but did not work to good. 2014 4. 3 silverado. Did not last for 50 miles. Ran about 30 miles and turned corner started to accelerate and the engine died was unable to start till removal.

five min. later it started and ran good enough to get me to work I mean it was not bad running but it was not standard running by any mean ( slow sluggish ). After getting to work I disconnected battery for eight hours and hope it would come back to what it was , and it did same old slow to respond and shaking at speed when the fuel management system kicked in.

Hope the full price one are better but I don’t know. Time to trade to a older foreign trk like toyota or nessan.

IšverstiShow in original languageI put this on my ’15 Silverado and immediately took it out for a drive. It is like a different truck. Gone is the mushy starts from red lights. It responds better underfoot on the highway and I don’t get that buzzy weird feeling going down the road when it’d shift to the 4 cylinder mode.

there’ll be no more of that. It seems to have helped the hunting and picking for a gear at lower speeds. I’m not sure about the gas mileage, but that is not why I bought it. It does what they say it’ll do.

I’m very happy with it. It is amazing that something that takes literally seconds to install can make that much difference.

My main reason was the DOD delete however after trying multiple tunes, the tow mode really changed the driving characteristics for the better. My truck (2011 Silverado) is quieter (less noise from intake sound) and drives much smoother, the shifts are also smoother.

I raised the rpm’s by 50 at idle. Turned off the speed and rev limiter and added a little torque on shifts. I would buy this again without hesitation. The bonus was the monitoring gauges in real time I did not know about.

I am not sure but I think the one negative (at least to me) is it tunes your alternator to at times drop to 12. 3-12. 9 for quite a while then back to 13. 4-14. 5 for the rest. I would rather it stay at 13.

5 and up (or at least give me the option to change it) but I have had zero problems with it this way so far.

Had an issue where the tuner wouldn’t update with software, every time I plugged it into truck it would say “files missing please update”, but it wouldn’t update. Emailed tech support and 3 hours later they emailed back to update again as they have added needed files.

Sure enough it updated and worked flawlessly. Did a 93 octane performance upgrade, also increased drive idle rpm to 700 rpms (500 rpms is too low especially with 35” tires and a lift, wouldn’t even roll when brake was released.

) also turned off AFM because duh, increased rpm shift points up a little etc. the truck gets better gas mileage now, has more power and shifts up and down a lot better than stock tune. I’d definitely recommend this tuner.

What a difference this has made to my truck! More power, better shifting, and better fuel economy! I know that every truck is different and results vary. I drive 32 miles one way to work 5 days a week and went fron averaging 15.

8 to 18. 6! Now, with that being said, I usually set my cruise at 68mph going and coming. I don’t hotrod it every time I leave my drive way, parking lot or red light. I could, but I just don’t see the need for it! Highly recommend it!.

So here’s the thing – the KTuner is hands down amazing. You see, about 1 year ago I upgraded the rims on my ‘15 Accord EX-L V6 from the stock 215/55/R17 to the HFP 19” with a 245/40/R19 Continental PureContact LS tire.

While I researched tires to ensure I achieved a balance of performance and weight, all things considered, the upgrade took a significant toll on my vehicles performance and MPG. I loved the look of the 19” rims, yet the KTuner was my last ditch effort to regain some performance before switching back to stock rims/tires.

Needless to say, subsequent to the KTuner Flash I’m pleased beyond all measure. There is a noticeable improvement in all aspects of driving my Accord, as I have observed gains both in performance across the power and MPG.

Passing power/response at 70+ MPH is now performed with ease. Further, removing the speed governor has allowed me to safely stretch into higher speeds on open road and really appreciate the tone and pull in the upper RPMs.

Now granted, this isn’t a “knock you into your seat” type improvement, but certainly enough for me to notice the difference and also be thankful for the Brembo brake upgrade (people often overlook the fact more power and faster speeds require better brakes.

) All in all, I wish I had done this upgrade when I bought my car new 7 years ago. Yeah, it’s that good.

I’ve recently purchased and installed this on my 10th gen civic SI and it really wakes this car up. Install is extremely simple with a glance at the edge autosport guide tutorial on YouTube. It’s worth mentioning that for the v2 your device needs to be connected to both your computer and car upon setting up the device.

This locks the Ktuner to your ECU. After complete you can unplug the device from your car and head back in with your computer. (Makes me think it would be difficult with a desktop. ) I highly recommend this product to anyone looking for better throttle and turbo responsiveness.

Hello everyone. I am the proud owner of a 2022 Honda Civic Si and out of the box it is a very fun and all-around great vehicle, yet I thought how can I make it better? Well, this began my research into which is the best upgrade one can buy for the Si that would give me the most bang for my dollars.

I found that a tuner is the best first step when it comes to waking up the car and I’ll tell you did it. The difference is day and night light and dark vanilla chocolate oh lord what a great product ad so user Friedley.

With 3 standard tunes and the ability to custom tune is amazing and the ability on this V2 KTunner with a screen to facilitate all my tuning needs. well, If you can tell I love this thing and recommended it to everyone.

This Si can move now and coupled with a downpipe which also was purchased at MAP im on the road to 300. Ok well enough blabbing sees you guys soon on my next adventure!.

My truck setup is 2013 Ram 1500 with a Pro Comp 6” lift and 35/12. 50r20 tires. I had a difficult time with getting the software updated either via wifi or line connected. Ended up getting it updated via wifi before I could make any changes, totally fine.

The problem was before it was updated the unit kept freezing on me and took about four attempts for it to finally update. Once updated it was pretty self explanatory. Tire size adjustment wasn’t super accurate to what the device said my tire size was and what my tires actually are.

I have 35” tires and had to set the unit to 33. 5” tires for the speedometer to be accurate. Checked with 3 different gps softwares to confirm actual speed. It’s possible I missed something. One thing I didn’t read and maybe some already know this but I had to learn.

When you select a tune you should drive it for about 75-100 miles before the tune actually finds it’s groove so-to-speak. Again, some people may know that but I didn’t. So the mpg initially was not good but since I’ve driven it for a while it’s improved.

Now that I’ve driven a while and we’re about to take it on a trip I feel pretty confident in the tune/settings.

2014 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sport 2. 5 inch lift on 35’s. I am very satisfied with this product. At first I received a used one that was not functioning properly however summit was quick to resolve that issue and send me a new one.

I did the 87 tune, here’s what I found. Mpg went from 15. 4 to 18. 9 average (over 19 if driving conservatively). I changed my fan to come on at 212 instead of 226. (I was running 225-235 degrees at highway speeds now I’m 205-215! Much better!) Corrected my speedometer to adjust to my 35in tires.

Slight increase in performance/throttle response. Haven’t tried the 91 or 93 tune yet but I am very happy with the results.

Installed on a 2017 Camaro SS good bang for the your buck as far as tuning goes but really paid off by disabling the AFM. Probably saved my engine in the long run. I don’t think these GM engines will last much over 125k miles with AFM enabled.

This tuner gives you a decent tune out of the box and is plug and play. Would have upgraded to the predators platinum if I had to do it again knowing what I know now. But very satisfied. Not going to give a lot of power or torque but disabling the AFM was ultimate objective.

Does give nice throttle response and modify a few parameters.

Surprisingly the best thing I have done for my Mustang this far. I bought it so I could change my rear gear ratio, but before I got to that I added the 93 octane tune, disabled traction control, bumped up the rev limiter and adjusted the fan controls to a lower temperature because I was seeing the needle move a little hotter on WOT pulls.

Couldn’t believe how much this woke up my car and how much smoother everything seemed to run. Once I add in the 3. 73s this will be a totally different car. Was not expecting this from a box tune but with the bolt ons I have it worked wonders and the adjustment to my fans kept the temp needle from moving.

The only reason I give it 4 stars is because the instructions don’t match the computer software to update the device and the computer software looks like it’s from 1997. In 2022 they should be able to vastly improve this interface and have the instructions match the buttons available on the screen.

Otherwise incredibly happy with this product. Mods for Reference: Accurate 70mm TB/Plenum, JLT fenderwell CAI & Oil Separator, Flowmaster Catback. 93 Octane tune that was preloaded on the device worked great with these basic bolts ons.

I wish someone would have told me to go buy the Bama X4 tuner instead (which is the same price) and you get free tunes for life. SCT customer support won’t help with anything, they just tell you that you’ll have to get a custom tune from somewhere (it’s $500 per tune here locally).

I have a 100% stock ’03 GT, automatic. The SCT x4 description says that you can modify shift points, but they don’t tell you it’s only WOT shift points that are able to be edited. So if you’re going through town where it’s only 35mph speed limit but you had to goose it to get out into the traffic from a stop sign, it won’t shift out of 1st gear until 30MPH because you started off fast to get into traffic and it sees that as Wide Open Throttle for some reason.

(Go drive your car in 1st gear at 30mph and see how annoying that is). The Tuner is good if you’re going to be wide-open all the time, that’s for sure. But if you only do the track 2 days a month and drive everyday in a small town with no big speed limits, it’s not great.

Maybe it’s better if you have a 5spd, but for a 4. 6L/Auto, you’re going to need more tunes.

Sct x4 is great, does everything I’ve wanted it to and gives me a live readout of my gauges. I’ve got a 2006 6. 0 dually with 4:30 gears The blessed tunes on the truck did not work for me. All 3 of the tunes made my truck shift extremely hard, all the time with erratic jump of gears.

I asked for the to adjust the tune and they just told me to relearn the transmission. I tried multiple times, no change. Truck also blows black smoke under any load, in all of the tunes and averages 9-10mpg When I return to stock, no more hard shift, smoke or bad fuel mileage.

Fuel mileage goes back to about 13-14. Since switching tuners, I average about 16-17mpg, no smoking or hard shifts.

I’d put a PCV on my stock-exhaust CBR years ago, using a map downloaded from dynojet’s site that matched that description, and it helped some, but it wasn’t a night and day difference. I rode it for years thinking it’s fine, but not super-excited.

Recently I finally gave the bike a slip-on exhaust, updated the PCV map with the best-matched tune I could find (right parts/bike, one year off) and it was just. not tuned well. Too rich at idle, lean at low RPMs, ok at the high end.

I was wrestling with whether to dyno when I rediscovered that they make the Autotune, and a light finally turned on for me. Install was mostly easy in my case: my CBR already had O2 sensor bungs (and I’d already blocked off the O2 sensors when I did the PCV install), so replacing the O2 sensor was fast.

Then I just had to figure out which wires to tap for power and plugged things together. The interesting part was removing the PAIR valve. It wasn’t “hard,” but it’s pretty involved, since it’s buried under the air box.

So if you’re just doing the autotune itself, install is easy. If you’re doing the things the autotune also requires (PAIR block-off and, if you’re really unlucky, welding a bung), install gets harder.

My ease-of-install rating assumes you have an O2 sensor/bung already, and have to do PAIR blockoff. With the autotune in place, the bike is running smoother, a little cooler, and has its low-end power back.

I’ve been really pleased with it.

Purchased for a 2017 GSXR 1000 with a flashed and already mapped ecu. The installation was simple but I have years of experience. The autotune needs 5w constant power so I soldered the license plate light coupler to it and used that power (I don’t use a license plate light).

Setting it up is mostly straight forward. The only problem I ran into was with the settings for it to turn on (only do it by time, not temp unless you have the aftermarket temp gauge or it won’t work).

Once I set it to begin sampling by time it worked perfect. I played around with the AFRs and it immediately began making changes to smooth the throttle. This is the perfect tool for street mapping (realistic conditions constantly), but does not replace a baseline dyno map.

The only disappointment is the lack of AFR map options for the bike from dynojet and that dynos do not want to build you a AFR map because it potentially takes away their business. I Do recommend this product though for throttle smoothing and consistent fuel, but remember one AFR does not cover all rpms/throttle %s.

I am also not sure how long the o2 sensor will last, I have heard a year or more to a few times but I assume that’s due to two things. People getting the sensor wet, or using race gas which it does not like.

Make sure it’s no where water will get to it and DO NOT use leaded race gas with this. Also, when your happy with the map stop using it to save the life of the sensor.

I got this for my 2014 GSXR-1000 to piggy back into my PCV. The installation was pretty straight forward. The hardest part is fishing the O2 plug up into a secure space as it’s rather large and sport bikes are pretty cramped.

The only complaint I have with this system, at least for me, is this removes the factory O2 sensor but they do not include a FI light killer for removing the factory sensor. For the cost of the Auto Tuner having the $20 FI light sensor plug included would have been nice but they’ve made the decision not to include it for some reason.

Tuning with the software is fun. I’m a novice tuner so I don’t know a lot of what I’m doing but I do know that the drivability of the bike and the off / on throttle response is massively better. Cruising down the freeway there’s no surging or rough conditions that was present with the factory – but you can lean the cruising range out to get better gas mileage etc.

It’s really fun to play with and figure out. I don’t know if I’m making more power. I’m getting it fully dyno tuned soon.

IšverstiShow in original languageI added this when I installed the RC Cat-back. I immediately noticed improvements on all fronts. MPG went up. Throttle response improved. Power and torque both definitely improved.

Last night while driving on the freeway, while making a lane change, I put my foot into it a bit and the truck downshifted as it accelerated. It was a bit of a surprise to me how the truck responded because I’m used to the ride without the chip.

Really felt the power come through. I can’t be sure of this but it felt like the back end broke loose a bit. I was using the 87 octane map. The truck tows my boat just fine on stock but the experience and power delivery is so much better on the superchip.

Shift points are spot on and all the power seems to be just sitting there in the immediate background waiting to be used. San Vicente Reservoir in San Diego has a really steep hill at the entry. Again, my stock truck handles it fine, but it feels effortless on the superchip.

Not paid to write the review. I just really like the product.

IšverstiShow in original languageAfter putting 295/70r17s on my truck, it took a freakin nose dive regarding its power and highway speeds. It was a turd and made me second guess going with bigger tires.

I still plan on regearing it but for now this programmer has 100% satisfied the issues. I can tell you this thing works. I have only used 87 setting and set my tire size and stock gear ratio 3. 55. Well worth it.

The truck feels way better with this childish tires lol. Don’t get me wrong though, it’s not going to fix it 100%. It definitely isn’t stock at 60+ with accelerating. But there are certain hills in my area that really pushed the truck with the bigger tires and the before and after with the programmer was certainly noticeable.

Again, don’t expect to do burnouts if you can’t already do them, but if you just put some bigger tires on your truck and don’t wanna tell your wife you kinda don’t like the way the truck feels now after dropping $1600 on some new shoes for it, get this.

IšverstiShow in original languageI have a 2019 F150 with the 3. 5 twin turbo, rated at 375HP. I modified the intake with an open filter, which added a bit of power. My wife’s car uses Premium, as do our motorcycles, so I put Premium in my truck also.

Even without a tune, it does help. Then, I bought this. Using the 93 Performance tune, it really adds a lot of zip! It took about 5 minutes to install the tune (and about 5 minutes to revert back when I take it into the dealer for service, don’t forget to do that).

I notice a huge difference in overall kick and definitely smoother shifting. I seems like a whole new truck. I should also note that my gas mileage, with the tune, seems to be a bit better than stock.

SO, this gives me better performance and better mileage. This tool is really worth the price.

I got this primarily to help with the rough stock shift ranges on the six speed auto transmission. It did that, and more. No more hesitation in the pedal. No more feeling like my tranny is skipping when leaning stop signs or when i let off the throttle and get right back on it.

Overall it feels like the power band has been moved up the high side a bit. It feels like less low end torque to me, but the acceleration is still there. I do think it made my car a little quieter, which i could’ve done without as i like the rumble.

It also doesn’t allow the aggressive downshifting at lower rpms like before. It’ll still downshift and rumble but only at higher speeds than previously. I’ve also noticed my idle rpm is now 900 instead of the previous 600-700.

The device itself. well i suspect i got used device since it has scratches on the back and the peel off protective plastic looks like it was peeled off and put back on. That said, it worked so im not going to spend my money to send it back.

It is very lightweight, and i suspect one drop in concrete would likely be disastrous. Also, experienced modders maybe weren’t surprised by this, but there is no battery in this thing. It only has power when plugged in to your car or your computer.

Which brings up my next point. wifi in this device is nearly worthless. I was ten feet from my modem, in my garage, and couldn’t hold a signal long enough to update, let alone get my tunes. I had to hotspot my phone and use it.

Good thing i sprunh for the extra to get wifi lol. I still had to get files sent, access them with my pc, and download from there. The whole process is pretty daunting to someone not acclimated to such things.

Additionally, be aware that it does come with one “canned” tune on the device, set for whatever car you own, however adding your custom tunes to it will then disable this tune so you can’t use it. So when it’s advertised you get three tunes, be aware you either get one, or two.

Not all three. They could include some clearly written instructions, to make customers and their own lives easier. Customer support thus far has been superb. All in all, i highly suggest this device if you’re looking to fix the electronic shift points that ford puts in stock, want to be able to get an (relatively) easy little bump to acceleration/response time, or expect to add more mods over time, in which case tunes for life could be very handy.

I got my device before i got my tunes, so shipping time was superb. My tune loaded up just fine, after it removed and stored the stock tune. I haven’t tried the 93 octane race tune yet, but the 91 octane performance tune has certainly delivered what it promised.

This thing could be a little cheaper. It could be a little more user friendly. It could have clearly written, easily understood instructions.

Fast shipping, once they received my vehicle info tune took 3-4 days so quick response there as well. So being a novice and any time you are telling the car to do something different than the factory set it for, I wanted to make sure I was doing everything exactly correct so I called to ensure I was doing it correctly.

If I’m being 100% honest in my review the guy I spoke to gave me the feeling that I was putting him out being on the phone. Every time I would ask a question he would pause like the question was stupid and then would reply like he was really irritated.

Ultimately he did finish the assist in completing the install. Let me say that this is not ever been my experience when calling American muscle, so I chalked it up to dude having a bad day and just moved on.

I had previously installed the Injen CAI then added this Bama tuner install. There is clearly a difference I just don’t know if I agree with some of the reviews saying “this really made the car come alive” Just trying to give my honest opinion! I do enjoy AM and all of the products they offer.

Next install will be H-pipe maybe this will open it up a little more.

So I’m going to be honest and say I was getting very frustrated with this whole process but AM reps stayed the course and helped me walk through it as I was having technical difficulties with the Cloud download.

If you get the REV X tuner as I did, prepare yourself as it may not go exactly as the instructions planned, which frustrated me a great deal. There is a known problem with some devices not being able to download files properly from the cloud.

But, thanks to AM folks, they jumped in a rescued me from drowning. Ok, the tune. Initially I installed the wrong tune and it made my car run like crap. Followed all the instructions and just ended up not downloading my custom tunes properly (this how I found out the downloading issue) and installed a different 93 Octane than what I was supposed to.

Needless to say I was less than thrilled with my cars performance and almost went back to the original stock values. Thanks to AM, I finally was able to get the right tunes downloaded using my computer and WOW.

Not sure how everyone else’s turns out, but my pony got some pep in her step. I am super excited about this, along with my CAI install. THANKS American Muscle for all the help. Definitely happy with the purchase!.

I’ve had this tuner for 2 years now. This is a real great tuner. It shows a lot of information for monitoring your ride while you are out and about, like engine temp, mpg, etc. I gave it low ratings on “Fit & Finish” because I recently had it fly off my bike while going down the highway.

The mount they have for this device isn’t strong enough to hold the device while hitting 80 MPH on the highway with no windshield. I know it’s a bit much to ask of the thing to hold on at those speeds, but they should have designed a better way to mount it.

Just be warned that the mount isn’t going to always hold onto your device and you may be watching it bounce down the highway in your mirror and see a car run it over. If you know what you are doing for tuning, this can save you a ton of money on getting your ride tuned after each upgrade.

The auto tune is good, but you will need to smooth out the fuel maps after to get a good smooth powerband. Highly recommend for those that like to upgrade their toys to make them faster and/or more fuel efficient.

The install for this tuner is super simple. Once married to my bike, I had 10 stock tunes to choose from (varies with what air cleaner and exhaust you have). My main issue I had was my bike was running lean (surprise right).

My favorite feature to fix that is autotune sessions you can run so it learns how you ride and where fuel needs to be added. I love that I can play with pretty much anything that pertains to my AFR for my bike.

This tuner also makes it easy to add a custom dyno tune in the future. Overall, very happy with this purchase.

After reading hundreds of reviews, watching all the videos and through word of mouth I decided to purchase the DJ Power Vision. along with that I purchased the Rinehart SlimLine Duals w/ 4″ cans right here on RZ two weeks ago.

I also picked up a Screamin’ Eagle Elite Heavy Breather from the HD dealer and all of this in glorious black for my Denim Black 2015 FLHXS. I had V&H on my last bike and decided for a change this time around.

so f’n happy I did. those Rineharts sound great. a nice deep rumble instead of the more “in your face” sound that V&H brings. Anyway, I watched every tutorial that there is on flashyourharley. com and many others so many times that when the PV arrived I knew all that I needed to know to get started.

I just finished my 3rd AutoTune ride this afternoon and I have to say my Street Glide is running amazing. and it just get’s better with each ride!!!! I love the sound, the bike runs much cooler and I’m making good use of the excellent gauge package that the PV has.

When you spend BIG bucks on almost anything these days the chances are pretty good that there’s disappointment right around the corner. BUT NOT with this Dynojet PV!!! It’s an EXCELLENT PRODUCT!!! Everyone out there who owns a Harley should have one of these on their bike.

even if you’re running stock!!!! I removed the fuel tank and ran the cable thru the wiring harness and installed it on the handlebars. it’s extremely simple to flash tunes to your ECM and like I said before, the gauge package is a great thing to have.

RevZilla had the pipes and the PV to me in two days here in Florida. Awesome company, awesome product!!!.

Check your battery voltage before programming and I highly recommend the use of a constant voltage power supply while programming. I used a standard battery charger to maintain battery voltage when I tried to tune my truck because I know programming is not quick process and that’s what I have at the house.

The first part of the process seemed to work, extracting the stock tune but when it tried to upload the aftermarket tune to my PCM it failed and had an error code 110DB. This left my truck immobile. Turn the key and nothing happens.

Assuming this was a problem with the tuner, I spent half the day on the phone with tech support while they remotely inspected and updated the BDX firmware using TeamViewer. Tech support was very helpful but in the end they could not see any reason on their side that would cause it to error and fail to program.

They said to try it a few more times to see if it would work. I did with no luck. They told me the last thing I could do is to send them the tuner and my PCM via overnight shipping at no cost to me so they would program it there.

I did not want to do that and since I have access to Ford IDS and have plenty of experience reflashing modules, I figured I’d just reflash my PCM with as built data from Ford. So I bring the IDS and a constant voltage power supply from work.

I hook up the power supply and decide to try the tuner one more time to see if voltage was the issue. and It worked flawlessly. My battery was the original battery and although I had no performance problems from it it was at the end of its life.

This paired with my charger that fluctuates voltage caused the program to fail. Note: the BDX showed a voltage of 13. 2v. Which is the first thing tech support asked. Unfortunately the voltmeter is only going to read the average voltage of the fluctuating output of the standard battery charger.

I will say that in the past I have used a standard battery charger while programming modules and it has worked fine and I suspect that if I had a good battery in my truck to start with it would have worked as well.

Adequate voltage is very important for any module reprogramming. As for the tuner it’s self, I like it. The throttle response is great. Right now I’m running the 87 performance tune. When I fill up next I’ll be trying the 93 tune.

5star’s tune does everything that’s advertised. However, I’ve had several key issues as noted in this review. Drivability: The first thing I noticed after installing the tune was a strong exhaust smell in my garage when parking my truck.

I assume this is due to running rich. I also noticed any time I decelerate, I feel my truck shudder hard as it downshifts. It’s noticeable enough that my passengers have mentioned it to me. After several attempts to contact 5star, someone answered and I was told they would send me an updated tune and that I should try a different tune in the meantime (I had the adaptive tune at the time).

So, I switched to the daily tune. The same drivetrain shudder existed here too. On this tune, on the hwy I did a WOT pull while passing a car. While WOT, suddenly I felt a large drop in power and my gauge cluster flashed a message saying “pre collision assistance not available” and my check engine light came on.

At this point the truck seemed to be in limp mode. The rest of the trip back home, the vehicle was in a low power mode and would not shift gears correctly. The previous mentioned shudder happened every single time I let off the gas pedal.

I hooked up my SCT tuner to check the codes and they were P0068(MAF Throttle Position) & P0471(Exhaust Pressure Sensor). I set the vehicle back to stock and the truck ran fine at that point. Days later I applied the prev mentioned updated tune to address the shuddering drivetrain.

I can’t say I really noticed any change here and at this point I had been trying to call 5star tuning for several days to talk through my issues. As of now, I’ve called them a dozen times, left a voicemail and sent an email all with no human response.

Fuel economy: I recently drove out west from the east coast and tested my fuel economy with the updated adaptive tune applied. I used mid-grade fuel (89-east, 87-west). The weather was great and the drive had little traffic.

I avg’d 17. 3 MPG over 1500+ miles of interstate driving. Upon arriving, I decided to remove the tune hoping my fuel eco would go up. On the return leg the vehicle was set to stock and you can see I avg’d 19.

1 MPG. Note, the return trip started with an hour of stop/go traffic. Then, through the entire great plains, there was very heavy wind that negatively affected my fuel eco significantly. Also, I used regular gas (85-west, 87-east).

I used cruise control on both legs of the trip and had it set btwn 78-83 depending on speed limit.

Tuner was an easy install. Within 50 miles noticed several improvements. Power was definitely improved and fuel mileage appears to be much better. Of course more miles is needed to establish a good review for mileage.

I will update this post. Again power gain is there noticed a high difference going up hill.

Like most people I watched a 1000 exhaust videos, and eventually decided on the AWE touring. I did the install myself with two jack stands. Hardest part of the install was getting the front pipe installed, but overall it wasn’t too bad.

Tip: get an exhaust hanger tool, I didn’t have one and it added some unnecessary frustration. The sound of this exhaust is really great at idle and driving around town. There is a little bit of burble now when accelerating, and also downshifting.

The bad is the volume on the highway. I have only driven with the system for about 200 miles, so it’s not fully broken in, but right now I would say it’s headache inducing on the highway. I’m hoping the break-in with mellow out the sound a bit, and if not, I have ordered some sound deadener for the hatch area.

Hopefully that works out because I really do like the exhaust around town.

Awesome product. I bought the race edition for my 2022 civic SI. Huge improvement overstock. I love the ability to be able to go in And create custom tunes. Keep it up

I always wanted to get hondata. But was just holding back but once I got the 22’ si, I didn’t hesitate. Did the 250 Tq tune and I will say, the car is extremely better. It should’ve came factory like with the flash pro!.

I don’t have access to a dyno or any fancy equipment, but let me tell you, my truck is hauling a** now ! Woooooo ! Cold air intakes and other bolt ons should be a secondary option, the tune should be the first thing you do if you want performance gains.

Works perfectly as described! Easy plug and play after the Pcm is swapped with a unlocked Pcm. Surprised by the difference and feel of the truck. Snappier throttle and definitely feel a difference in shifts and acceleration.

This tuner and pcm swap really woke up ram. I am not mechanical at all. I was able to install the new pcm and tuner my self. This is a great product that gives all I wanted for my ram.
