Best Homeschool Curriculum For Kindergarten (2024 Updated)

Students spend one week on each set of words and concepts. Probably a better second half of Kindergarten book unless your child is already reading somewhat independently. Would be great for summer review.

I bought this for my 6 year old to add to his reading curriculum for Kindergarten. He loves it and is excited to do the worksheets every day. I really like how easy it is to use.

I purchased this book to help my grandson get ahead of the game. It’s definitely working!! He hadn’t been excited about reading prior to receiving this workbook. That attitude has flipped 180 degrees and he’s now anxious to get to the “next page” to see what fun he can have learning new words.

His parents or I initially worked with him on one page a day. He’s still limited to one page per day, but he’s now to the point where he can do most of the pages on his own with minimal help from an adult.

We’ve begun prepping our toddler for kinder so I purchase 3 of these activity books to work on with her each day. From the second these arrived she’s been so thrilled — she begs me to let her complete new activities all day.

I’m very excited about all of these fun new “learning games” and I can already tell that the books will be extremely beneficial. If you’re prepping your little for preschool or kinder, I absolutely recommend these activity books.

They’ll love them, trust me!.

I was so happy with this book. My mother got this for my son during the summer break and he did the whole thing in a months time. He loved the puzzles and games. The pictures are bright and vibrant. It was the perfect book, I definite recommend this!.

I bought my nephew Highlights because I remember it as a kid and I absoultely loved it and could not wait to turn every page and explore what was on it. I am now in my early 50’s and I was really excited when I came across the subscription advertisement when trying to find him a birthday present.

He has the same excitement that I had and I am so glad to find that they are just as fun and educational as they were when I was a kid. He will definitely get another next year and the year after and so on!.

Not as useful as I had predicted. It is a simple daily plan. Not bad. Not really Great!! #sweepstakes

The themes were right on the age mark 2-5 yrs. Some themes could be covered in a day while others could last all week or month. A lot of old favorite song and finger plays, but quite a few new ones as well.

Templates don’t seem usefull but does provide ideas for how you could fashion your own.

I love this book. It has many helpful themes. I will do preschool at my inhome daycare this year and I will base my curriculum after this book. More theme ideas would be ideal, but I supplemented off of the internet and came up with plenty.

I know the book is for children but my husband was an avid reader before Alzheimer’s. He can no longer read but loves the colorful pictures and tries so hard to sound out the words. It keeps his mind as active as it is capable of being.

Second book of this type I have bought for him. Colorful, sturdy book. Believe me he has tried to take it apart. He still loves trucks.

This is the best of all the books I bought my 4year old. She loves it. It helps with learning alphabet and phonetics. We read and go over like 4 to six pages in a day. Keeps her engaged. I recommend this book especially to parents trying to teach little ones how to read and write.

My nephew loves trucks and enjoys this book very much. The price here was better than the any other for the new book. Only disappointed at the size. The book is only about 4×6. But I have to admit I didnt read the description well enough.

Overall Im satisfied.

My child is getting ready for kindergarten and this is a great book to help jumpstart their education. It’s bright colors and easy directions makes learning fun. They enjoy sitting together and working through the pages of this book.

I feel confident knowing my child is ready for the school year. Plus, the price is unbeatable.

I bought two of these to do with my two almost 4-year-old granddaughters. The pages are very colorful and it is a nice quality workbook. The girls are excited to do a few pages each time they come to my house (almost daily).

Because of their age, the workbook is a little tricky but, with my instruction, they do very well and enjoy the activities on each page. I highly recommend this workbook. The pages are perforated if you want to remove them but we haven’t.

The girls each have a pencil and a box of crayons to complete the activities. It’s fun to watch them do it to their own ability before they have even gone to preschool. I think it’s a good workbook for entering kindergarten.

This is extremely helpful. Very engaging with the basics. A little too basic for kids who are already in kindergarten and know their ABC’s and numbers, as this starts them from the beginning. A lot of pages that are nothing but letter tracing, which is good for beginners, but too basic for kids at the end of kindergarten.

Needed homework materials during this covid nonsense. This is good for that because it teaches counting money and telling time, as the book gets more advanced as you move through it. Lots of activities.

Glad I bought it!.

I’m so glad I found this book at the local library & I had to purchase it for long time use. It lays everything out & gives lots of info on what needs to be taught to the child for each year of school, I have not found any other book to come close to explaining the process as this one does.

Rebecca Rupp also had another very helpful, very large, resource book that I would also recommend. If you are home schooling the year by year book of hers is an absolute must!!!! It Definately helped me get things together & I was way more prepared on what to do & teach because of this book, I’d still be lost without it!.

This is a great book for all homeschoolers as well as non homeschoolers. It really tells you what your child should be learning in either the public school system or in your own homeschool. If your child is in public school it helps you to know if your school system is really fulfilling your childs learning needs.

As a homeschool help – it is fantastic! It tells you what your child should learn each year and tells you how to design a homeschool curriculum from preschool through highschool. It gives a lot of resources.

It has suggested reading for each grade level. This book gives easy to understand information in each grade level for: Language Arts, Writing, Mathematics, History & Geography, Science, Foreign Language, Art, Music, Health & Physical Education.

The author, Rebecca Rupp, has many other books worth checking out as well.

This will be my first year homeschooling. I was lost with which curriculum I should use. This book has been a life saver!! Highly recommend!

I love this book. I have homeschooled for eleven years. I just found this book and the wealth of information in it. Cathy Duffy reveals the various methods and styles of homeschooling in a user friendly simple way.

It has wonderful tools to use to help a new and/or a veteran homeschooler see where their style is. This helped me to locate books to assist me and my family on our journey. Time is of the essence for most of us these days and Cathy Duffy allowed me a way to peruse lots of material in a quick and easy way.

There are lots of great books about homeschooling out there and when I have the time I enjoy them. I loved the fact that I could read snippets when time allowed and walk away to attend to my day without loosing my place.

I have recommended this book to lots of people and plan on recommending it to many others. This truly is a great road map to start your homeschooling journey. I personally can’t think of anything I disliked about this book.

I will purchase another copy in the future to loan.

I first got a chance to read this book a year ago when a friend let me borrow it. It definitely left an impression because when I was finally ready to create my homeschooling goals and philosophy, this is the book I thought of.

I just had to get myself a copy. This book is more than just a list of popular homeschooling curriculum. It guided me to my homeschooling philosophy, taught me my own learning style and helped me pinpoint my children’s learning styles, all of which are extremely important to know before selecting a curriculum.

Having this information on hand made the task of choosing a curriculum a lot less daunting by narrowing down my options. I’ve spent quite a lot of time online searching and trying to compare curriculum so that I don’t make the wrong choice and I absolutely love that everything I need is all in one convenient book, it has saved so much time.

I think the best thing about this book is that I can use it year after year to help me fine tune my goals and philosophy as my children’s learning needs grow or change.

This book is a great resource for anyone homeschooling, but especially for those new to homeschooling. It can be sooo overwhelming when you see all the wonderful choices out there for homeschoolers. This book not only offers reviews for many of the better curriculums out there, it also helps you determine what style of homeschooling you prefer and your children’s general learning styles and directs you to curriculum that is ideal for those styles.

Can you find what you need without this book? Sure. But, you might find it a lot sooner with this book! Instead of working through trial and error, spending money on curriculums that may not work well for your family, let this book save you time and money by getting you to the right stuff now! One thing that would be so nice is if this book also gave reviews on homeschooling helps, such as tracking and record-keeping tools, homeschooling magazines and websites, and the best online shops to find the lowest prices on different curriculum.

There might be a book out there that has all this, but I haven’t seen it yet. Or, maybe I’ll just write it myself! :o).

Started with my 3 1/2 year old son – he loved it and picked it up very fast. It’s really easy to follow as a parent and the dvd is such a fun learning aid. Now at 4 he’s already reading and we’re only on level 1.

Excellent learning tool for all young budding readers! :).

We have a 3 year old who’s been asking to read. Started him on HOP and it’s working great. Thanks HOP! You changed our lives for generations! (Or it might. We will find out in a few generations )

So far, so good; we just received it and started on it. I am uncertain if our son is dyslexic but since local school district kicked him out because they determined “he is autistic”, I am totally on my own to determine how to educate our disabled child.

So I’ll give this a chance.

I bought this for my five-year twin great nieces. You only had one copy so I have to get another one when the supply is replenished at your store. Anyway, the activities in these books are great learning and/or reinforcement activities for age-appropriate learners.

I bought this book before and continued to work with my student to provide intervention. It has been really helpful!

I bought this book to use with my child while homeschooling. I love the huge variety of subjects covered and how it is developmentally perfect for his age! Not too much info and it keeps my child’s attention.

This is an excellent workbook for homeschooling your 1st grader! My 1st grade son looks forward to social studies time. The only complaint I have is that the pages are not perforated so they do not tear out neatly.

We are new to homeschooling and I got this book to supplement what we are doing in social studies. We really like it. The pages are short and sweet and we add other resources to make each week a full lesson.
