20 Best Home Spray For Spiders (2023 Updated)

I live in a mobile home and the roaches was already tenants when I moved in. Called Dodson pest control to find out it was definitely going to take at least 3-4 treatments before I seen any results. It’s the beginning of November so I’m planning a big Thanksgiving and these roaches gotta go.

I had 3 different types of roaches infested in this mobile home. After trying different roach remedies from Wal-Mart, Dollar Generals and Family Dollars. I got online and searched( best roach killers) Demon wp popped up, read the results, all was so good feedback so I bought it.

U actually see it working. I mean so as u spray the chemical around a roach, the roach literally stops. As soon as it walk in it it starts getting weak soon it just falls over dead. There was dead bodies eveywhere after like a hour.

The mobile home feels so much better. At night I feel comfortable to walk in my kitchen and get a cup out the cabinet. Never will I use anything else.

I have purchased multiple times for roaches in apts/condos. Now, I live in a townhouse and am dealing with spiders, Gypsy moth caterpillars, beetles, particularly outside on my balcony and front door.

A realtor told me about Demon after complaining about roaches – even after having a professional service spray my waterfront home. After looking at my invoice from the extermination company, I saw one of the chemicals they used was Demon.

but they charged me $75! I now have been using Demon for at least 6 months. and we no longer live waterfront. However, we now live in a brand new subdivision that used to be farm land. In the early days, there were loads of bugs and huge spiders (no cockroaches, thankfully).

We sprayed inside and out and straight away and do so every three/four months and very rarely see any bugs at all! I live this stuff and will not use anything else!!.

This stuff is trash. Not what I ordered. I got substituted for this stuff instead. I saturated the area where they were flying into. It foamed up for less than 2 mins. killed a few wasps. But then the stuff defoamed and the bees just kept coming.

I reapplied several times. Using an entire can over a 1 1/2hr time span. I will definitely be getting something else. I had other products that foamed up and stayed put for significantly longer deterring and killing any that entered or exited.

a product that stays put for more than a few seconds is necessary for flying beasties. I usually get Raid or Spectracide. Apparently Hot shot was all they had for now? not super happy.

Unfortunately, when the Texas sun comes out at full blast, so do many annoying creatures such as wasps and hornets. We have tried various brands of wasp killer over the years with some good, as well as some not-so-good, results.

Before using the Hot Shot Wasp and Horner Killer for our most recent wasp invasion, I sat down to carefully read the directions. I learned two recommendations for using Hot Shot that I didn’t realize before: spray the nest in the early evening when the wasps are less active and let the wasp nest stay in place for at least 24 hours before removing so the chemical can also affect any wasps that try to return to the nest.

In addition to following those suggestions, the fact that the jet spray is much longer that many other brands proved to be helpful. My husband also noticed that the trigger is designed to safely spray in one direction only, making sure you are always spraying away from yourself.

The shape of the nozzle also seemed to limit the amount of “blow back spray” that can sometimes occur when using a spray can. We also appreciated that the chemical foam seems to really stick to the area where it is sprayed, with few or no drips.

Overall, we were very pleased with this product and plan to use it again once the hot, wasp-filled days of summer return!.

This product is truly amazing. I live in an area where we get yellow jacket wasps and they are very aggressive and love to taunt you. I stumbled upon a yellow jacket nest right in front of my doorway.

Could you imagine the fear I had walking into my house every day. This hornet spray really works, given that I do have a fear of bugs my husband was in charge Of killing the wasps with the spray. So I clearly stayed far away but close enough to watch my husband do it.

We waited till after the sun set because that’s when bugs are less active and my husband sprayed the nest approximately 8 feet away. We did notice the walls come out we ran inside the house just because we were afraid it was going to attack us.

Just used this today. Instant results. We used the higher concentration for quick knockdown and it worked amazingly. I was skeptical because it was pricey, but so far I’m glad I purchased this product! We will see how long it lasts before we have to reapply.

As a bonus, it killed other pests as well!.

This stuff is worth the cost. Provides an excellent long-term barrier around your home. It’s concentrated so a little goes a long way, making it as cost effective as using more of the cheaper stuff. Keep pets away from the wet product but after it dries its odorless and has not impacted any of our pets.

After application there’s all sorts of dead insects found, ants, spiders, etc. I usually re-apply every 4 months or so.

The best pesticide for indoor and outdoor. Safe for pets and children after product dries. Kills almost every pest like bedbugs, roaches, ants and so much more. Has a residual effect for 12 months.

I used this and gentrol a few years ago for a bed bug infested house. After I tried everything else I finally found this and it worked wonders! Now a new house and a new problem. German roaches. Not a infestation yet but starting early with treatment.

This product is one not to be without. The outside lights on my proch attract all kinds of flying creatures. I sprayed my porch high and low and the night time swarm has all but stopped. I sprayed all of my bushes as well.

This is my first time using Ortho Home Defense Insect Killer for Indoor & Perimeter Concentrate. When the directions are followed, the product is easy and safe to use. It is early Spring here in Texas.

I followed the directions by mixing the correct amount of water with the correct amount of concentrate. I’m happy to report that this concentrate works because there is evidence of shriveled dead bug and insect carcasses.

I am not sure why I get so many ant beds but I do. Well I used the spray on the ant bed before i left to go to work and OMG, when I got home it was like they were all piled up on top of the pile. some were still crawling but they shaky so I knew it would be long for them.

I sprayed a barrier around my door to keep the ants out because I have them at the front door. It did help. I moved the ant bed around and sprayed more in the pile the next day and more came up. I am going t make sure I keep this spray at all times.

I have never ever seen a spray that worked so well especially on an ant bed. I have included pictures and a video. I hope you can see it good. I’m trying to send the photos and one video it won’t upload.

I utilized this product due to some ants I was seeing in my garage. I utilized it around the entrance both into my home from the garage but also around the perimeter inside the garage and of course across the opening of the overhead door.

This product not only took care of the ants but crickets, spiders, etc. I was and am still amazed at how many dead insects are on the floor from time to time. It was effective and even remains effective.

I have been using this since 2018 when someone told me about it. I bought a twin (slab) home that had an infestation of ants. We tried every product and none of them worked until we used TEMPO per recommended mixture for two quarts.

My nephew worked as a bug guy and recommended this. I moved into a house that was cockroach infested. Landlord said he bombed 3 times but looked like the roaches were immune to the bombs. Anywho i ordered this and sprayed everything.

Cy-Kick CS is an extremely effective product. I live in the desert Southwest and I used to spend a lot of money on exterminator services. The services were generally effective, as long as I monitored the exterminator’s work to make sure he wasn’t taking any shortcuts.

Problematically, though, the price just kept escalating and I was tired of wasting my day waiting for the guy to get to the house and making sure he did a good job. I researched a lot of insecticides and settled on Cy-Kick CS.

I bought a backpack sprayer from the local big-box and followed the application directions. Within two days the evidence of dead bugs was my assurance I’d made the right decision. That was 8 years ago and I’ve completely controlled insects on my property and in my house ever since.

No more cockroaches, ants, centipedes, or spiders to deal with. Happy wife and happy life.

I did some research a few years ago and found out a nationally recognized company was using this exact spray and charging premium prices every quarter. I ordered this concentrate, mixed according to instructions, and, no ants.

or bugs of any kind. It seems high when you first look at it, but not when you figure a year worth of spraying. This is quality. Not big box store water with 2 percent active ingredient. I reccomend you read the labels carefully.

If you are capable of following instructions, I think you will be satisfied with the product.

I bought this specifically to kill the Spotted Lanterfly in my maple tree because Ortho’s website claimed it killed them on contact when used per the package directions. Unfortunately, even when used exactly as directed it did nothing.

They paused as they were covered in spray and then just kept on going. No change, no death, nothing. I’m sure it works on other insects but it didn’t work for this annoying invasive species.

In North Florida we have insects year around, and in the spring they definitely become more of a problem. Misquotes are a serious problem now, as well as insects on my citrus trees. This product seems to work on killing BOTH, so I don’t have to buy these products separately, as well as lawn pests like lawn moths and sod web worms.

I have applied it once and notice no misquotes on my screen porch where they usually land. It will also kill fleas and ticks which are a constant pest for my out door cats. Seems like the ideal all around insecticide that is easy to apply with an Ortho lawn sprayer.

(I’m waiting for the bees to finish pollinating my citrus tree flowers before spraying them just to be careful with the the little guys 🙂 Then I hope it will keep scale and leaf curl off these trees as well.

If you do your own yard work, you will want to purchase the Ortho Home Defense Insect Killer for Lawn and Landscape. I use this throughout the year to get rid of pesky insets in the lawn. I would recommend this to everyone.

I am late reviewing this product because I was doing a comparison with and without long term effectiveness. Easy to use with simple directions. It did work for several months. The bugs moved over to the area I did not treat.

Pretty much expected this. With time and a lot of rain, the effects wear off and the bugs come back. In its defense ALL product effects will wear out with a lot of rain and time. This one held up longer than most.

But not quite so many bugs returned. So feel confident you will get the effect you want with this simple to used product from Scott.

I tried this product on unwanted grass growing up on concrete driveway. Killed within a few days. Grass has not returned. Keep away from areas you do not wish to eliminate. Use on a non windy day. Will recommend.

Had a few varieties of florida roaches (large and small) wandering around the kitchen at night. Chose this brand based on “you get what you pay for” is it was pricey. To apply, I inserted the small red tube taped to the side of the can and sprayed in the gaps between fridge, oven and dishwasher.

Quickly left the kitchen to avoid breathing in whatever toxins may be floating in the air. 30 minutes later I noticed large roaches staggering out of the kitchen and flipping on to their backs where they slowly died.

I suspect the smaller roaches were unable to make it out of hiding alive as I only saw a very small percentage of them. The can is high pressure and puts out more of a fog than spray so you will want to use the red tube included.

It seems to be designed for cracks and gap spraying. At this point, i can say it quickly worked. Time will tell if the 6 month claim of effectiveness is accurate.

Several cashmere sweaters that I store under my bed had holes eaten through them although I hadn’t seen carpet beetles or their larvae in months. I looked into regular pest control, but decided to try SLA first.

Sadly, since treating with the SLA (according to the directions-so much laundry!), we’ve seen adult carpet beetles in our bathroom and a window in our dining room. I just found one in our unfinished basement on my husband’s dirty laundry.

*groan* We’ve never seen them in our bedroom and I have since treated the baseboards and windows in our bathroom and dining room. (We have a No-Moth disc in the basement-not sure it’s doing anything.

I have used this SLA cedar scented spray at our rural cottage where several families stay. The spray is very pleasant smelling. I always wear a mask, gloves and make sure no others people or pets are in the area.

The spray works great on ants, spiders and any other insects. I use the spray in clothes closets to kill any moths. The spray is water based and non staining. The spray works great around any cracks in the foundation to prevent insects from entering.

I also spray mattresses after any stays to prevent bed bug infestation. The spray works very well to control insects in the garage. This spray is the most effective insect killer on the market.

I’ve been using this product since 2005 and for a variety of the worst pests. At first it was carpet beetles as a supplement to professional pest control. it also works with weevils from organic flour, and now found we can use it for flea control in cracks and crevices where pets can transfer the ones encased and protected in a cocoon type wrap for up to a year.

We vacuum then spray so those who hatched can be killed off quickly. The best product with a bit of a cedar scent too.

I have used this spray against all types of insects, and it works the best out of them all even more expensive stuff. Now, I have never dealt with termite swarmers getting into any place I have lived in, until I made a major move to a new area and it gets much hotter here where I now live at, versus where I used to, and even though I am under contract for termite control, these pest control people aren’t very trustworthy.

We used a different pesticide on the exterior, caulked up as much as we could both on the exterior and interior of the house, installed warm colored LED bulbs inside of our house (which helps to keep away pests including termites), and I recently went back to buying this insect spray and I make sure to routinely spray it around baseboards, bottom of sinks, bottom of toilets, around bottom of tubs, windowsill, and ever since doing this, me and my family haven’t seen any more pests.

This spray is also good to use directly on a pest if you happen to see one or more pop up unexpectedly too. As, it works as a preventative against pest and an on the spot treatment to kill any pest that may pop up from out of the blue too.

It leaves no lingering odor and doesn’t end up making me cough like so many other insect sprays I have tried in the past. So, do not believe that there is nothing you can don about termite dearness if you see them appear inside of where you live.

Nobody should have to be subjected to having termites drop on hem or their children from the ceilings or crawl out from other spaces, and wait hours for them to finally die. Be proactive and do the things that I recommend and it will definitely give you greater peace for sure.

I am writing this for anybody that’s trying to compare raid to any other brand. OK so let’s be honest a lot of times we come to review looking for answers well I’m here to give you a clear answer. Sometimes the brands that actually work could be more costly than the non-namebrand and we’re trying to decide if it’s worth it to buy the brand name let me tell you it’s definitely worth it.

I have tried all of the different roach sprays out there including this one. Raid is at the top of the list by a long shot. For example I would say hot shot is the next runner-up brand and even that one takes about I would say 20 to 30 seconds for the Roach to actually die which I’m not saying it’s bad but I’m saying if you really have a serious roach problem You want to get rid of them and kill them quickly as possible.

Raid instantly kills on-contact. When it hits the roach it’s like it almost paralyzed it. This is good if you’re trying to kill multiple roaches at once you’re able to spray one, move on and not have to worry about watching to see if it dies or if it crawls away.

I don’t know what’s in the ingredients but they die instantly. I will say if you have a roach problem and you’re using other brands sometimes they can build up a resistance because it’s just not strong enough.

Also raid smell is not over bearing like other brands. It’s also less messy and shoots more on contact than others. Hot shot is super messy and sprays back in your face if you’re spraying more up. If you are undecided this is your answer to buy raid and raid only.

It works, we have used it for the second year in a row. No problem with ants now after spraying around foundation. We have tried everything without success until now. Definitely works well on insect problems.

This product is lasts longer than any other product out there for perimeter spraying. Also, it doesn’t leave a residue if applied as directed on label. The only drawback I have is it can be a little harder to get off the windows if applied in direct sunlight on very hot days.

I highly recommend it.

Although Taurus SC is not advertised for use on bees let me tell you it is absolutely fantastic. Of course bees are an essential part of the ecosystem and I strongly urge to NEVER kill honey bees. I called a local bee expert and they said they were yellowjackets and to kill them.

I had two yellow jacket nests located inside walls so it was impossible to get at the nest directly. Spray the bees with Taurus SC as they are flying in and out of the nest. Stay out of their flight path and finely mist them with a pump sprayer or hand sprayer as fly fly into the nest area.

They will not get hostile and within 24hrs they will be eradicated. I did not even have to suit up with protective gear but you may want to just in case. Best stuff for nests you can’t get to.

I have been plagued by ants for many years. I have tried using those plastic baits, house fumigation, insect sprays and even stepping on them one at a time, but, they keep coming back, in greater numbers, not to mention they keep finding new places to set up housekeeping.

Then my daughter bought a 100 year old house, and was having trouble with an infestation of Box Elder Bugs. She uses an exterminator regularly on her rental properties. They sprayed around te foundation of her house, and around the doors, windows and eaves of her house.

within a couple of days, her Box Elder problem was no more. She gave me the name of the product they used, it is Termidor, which is normally used for termites, but also eliminates most of the common household pests,like spiders, earwigs, ants and others.

I bought a 20 oz. concentrated solution of this product, which makes 24 gallons of spray solution. I sprayed around my foundation, doors, windows, and anywhere else that looked like an entry point. I even sprayed around my outdoor gazebo, and storage shed.

Within 3 days, all I could see was an occasional dead bug. For the first time in years, I don’t have that “crawley” feeling. Just follow the instructions on the container. It almost seems too easy, no odor, no bugs! I cannot believe the results this product has given.

This product holds up to it’s previous reviews. It is not instant, but within a few weeks dead bugs showed up in the garage. I haven’t seen an ant since and after my crawlspace + trench treatment the minor termite presence appears to be eradicated as well.

This is my new favorite insecticide. 10/10 would poison again.

BifenXTS has been a good insecticide for controlling Crazy Ants. They have been a terrible problem for us. We had a pest control company try to get rid of them as they were invading our home…however they did not succeed.

My son-in-law began using Bifen XTS and it keeps them under control. I’m not sure if they can be eradicated due to how fast they produce.

kills the subterranean bugs and while on the surface kills everything else; been using for years; be careful to read instructions; it says 1/3 ounce per gallon, but around my house windows, outlets and soffit I use 1/2 ounce per gallon.

At the family farm it is the best to get rid of ants, feas and red bugs(pesky little critters) Be cautious when applying. I choose a non windy day and wear motorcycle goggles, bandana over my mouth, hat long sleeve shirt and blue jeans as well as disposable gloves; will smell a couple of days.

Afterwards I immediately wash my clothes and take a shower. ( these precautions are what I do) A gallon goes a ling way and this is a good value.

The best product I know of for creating and maintaining a little fire ant (Wasmannia auropunctata) barrier. Solvent is smelly but allows higher concentration of bifenthrin than the aqueous preparations, thereby reducing plastic container use.
