Finally, I have a solution for our wallet ID cards, which get crumpled, worn out, and unreadable from repeated handling. I Immediately put this complimentary Fellowes M5-95, Home Laminator to work protecting our auto insurance, voting, library, club memberships, and other assorted ID cards, which we constantly carry around in our wallets (and Darlene’s purse).

I used the 5 mil thick ID Card Laminating Pouches (2. 63” x 3. 88”) to laminate all of our wallet ID Cards thinking the heavier pouches will hold up better in the long run. All of the various laminating paper sizes can be utilized in this laminator as long as they will fit into the 9 1/2” size opening at the front of the machine.

After doing the wallet ID cards I found more practical uses for this home laminator in protecting my Grand Children’ works-of-art, coloring masterpieces, and precious photos. The 3 mil letter size is just perfect for this use.

And, this unit comes with a starter pack of ten, 3 mil letter sized laminating pouches ( 9” x 11 1/2”), which I quickly used up. I also laminated our phone and address lists for durability and some important certificates to preserve along with other valuable papers: home deed, release of home mortgage lien, last will, etc.

Darlene is going to order the File Card size to laminate many of her favorite recipes. This basic home unit is very simple and user-friendly to operate. It heats up in three to four minutes, and will automatically shut-off in thirty minutes.

It has no entry or exit feed trays. When you place an item in the front for lamination the rollers will ‘grab’ the item and as it laminates it will exit out the back of the unit. What I found most important is to insure you feed the laminating paper into the front of the machine squarely.

Let’s start at the beginning. plug in the unit, switch it to “ON”, and the little power LED lights up. Then WAIT – about two minutes – while the unit heats up. (First time around, it smells “hot” – probably just the “newness” burning off.

Now comes (yet another) waiting period – while the pouch feeds through the unit heating and sealing it tight. After reading the instructions, I was concerned the finished laminated sheet would be hot, so I placed a plastic mat on the table to prevent damaging the finish.

I eagerly anticipated receiving this product. I had a small laminator from another company that I am happy with, but I was looking for a change. When I first opened the box, the tape had been cut open and re-taped with a different type of tape.

The box was in good condition and the set up was easy. I read through the instructions and set up to laminate the first project. Thankfully it was a test, so I didn’t lose anything important. The machine indicated it was at the correct temperature, so I centered the pouch (per the instructions) and started it into the feed.

Recently I used the Fellowes Halo 125 Laminator to laminate quite a few pages I had planned to post around my classroom. After reading and following the instructions, I turned on the laminator, which I immediately changed to the 3mil setting to work on and complete my task.

I was impressed by the warm-up time frame at this setting- only 1 minute! My other laminator takes 4 minutes to warm up to begin laminating. When I changed the Halo 125’s setting to 5mil it took longer to reach such setting- 4 minutes.

The laminating was flawless- no bubbles or waves, except when I force-fed a page to be laminated, but this one was on me. The auto shut-off is very helpful, and standard on newer laminators of different brands as well.

Just from opening the box, I knew this laminator and I would become good friends. It is so easy to use and it is has a super sleek design that doesn’t make it look like a bulky item, but something that can easily be placed anywhere and not have it take up any space.

As a teacher, I use laminators a lot and this one warmed up super fast (within a minute) and I especially love that it can laminate much larger items up to at least 12 inches. I used the laminator to create a bulleting board display with at least 20 pages and it laminated them in record time – and properly – with the 3 mil pouches the package brings.

While I have not used the jam release button yet, I am so glad it has one since my last one had to thrown out due to a major mishap and no way to clear the jam. The best feature for a teacher is the auto-shut off since I tend to do a lot of things at once and I tend to forget to turn off devices.

This is a great steamer for the money! Steams cloths well. Not sure how long it will hold up as it seems cheaply made. But, it was cheap and it works!

Pros: Markings to line up your a4 laminating pouch. Lightweight and not a bulky machine so easily moved around where needed. Does a good job sealing the pouches Cons: 3 minute heat up is exactly that but feels like ages.

If you have quite a few to laminate then it is time consuming.

Wonderful product, I have enjoyed using this product in an office setting. The quick warm up time to get ready making it convenient and easy to use. I liked that this machine also comes as a kit with laminating pouches, a paper trimmer, and a corner rounder.

It is simple to use with it’s single power setting and the less product weight.

Build quality is not brilliant, but it does ultimately do what it is meant to. And for the price, it is good value. The paper guides for the cutter fell off (I can glue them back on), and the corner cutter is a bit comedy.

That said, the hot laminating comes out absolutely fine – no problem there at all. The trimmer is not that good – no definite cutting line to measure to and the blades are not that well fixed. Better than nothing though! Overall, I would recommend this for the price as the laminator works well.

For home use it is perfect. It does a very good lamination. The cutter is not so good but it has a very practical corner cutter to round the edges. It is lightweight and relatively compact. At the price of 24 Euros (totally) it is a great value for money.

Bought this on Amazon for use in my classroom because I saw a fellow colleague with one and I wanted to same convenience of having one to use whenever I needed. I was so excited to get mine and for the first use, it did a really nice job.

I unplugged it and it has been sitting in my home office unplugged since then. Tried plugging it in to do more laminating today and NOTHING. You can feel the motor vibrating. Power button is on It will even take the pouch and run it through like it is laminating but the ready light as you can see is dark and the whole machine is cool to the touch.

This is my FIRST laminator purchase and I was so excited to finally have one. Purchased this on Sept 26, and as of today Oct. 20th and one use, it is being returned for a refund. So disappointed.

(This is my second review, because my first one did not get saved. I asked a question, and I cannot find my review. ) I have a question about the TL902 Thermal laminator that I cannot find on the Internet, Youtube, or in the manual that comes with the laminator.

How do you close the input tray in order to put the laminator away? The manual says “Position the guides in the full open position before closing the tray. ” But it does not say how to close the tray.

The tray is made out of bendable plastic, and it does not move. I am afraid of breaking it if I apply force. The manual really should state how to close it. (Your website should offer customers a way to ask questions that are not ratings or reviews.

) Reviewers “Jenip” and “jackybr1” also asked how to close the tray, as it is too hard to close. They both asked four years ago, but there is still no response. Right now my laminator sits on a table, as I am unable to get it stored in the box it came in.

Furthermore, the entry tray is far too short (reviewer “Bucks321”) also complained about this. I laminate sheets with many small paper pieces, and without a long, level entry tray, it is difficult to feed the plastic sheets without the papers moving about.

When I laminate at the FedEx store, the fancier laminators there use thick paper folders that enclose the plastic sheets and protect the “levelness” of the sheets as they are feed through. My box said it comes with two sheets, and I thought these were the two cardboard-stock feeding folders.

I was surprised to find out that these were sample lamination sheets, and that feeding folders are too thick to use in this model.

this laminator! It’s so light and easy to use! Very quick and efficient! Great seal on the finished product. The first thing I put through was cardstock and there were no bumps or bubbles and it heated very evenly – flawless finish! MISSING A because the back or entry tray area is a little cumbersome and poorly designed/made.

It’s easily stuck and the “input tray guides” keep coming off track as I open and close the tray. Kind of {REALLY} annoying. BUT an easy fix. Overall great product! I would recommend for home projects for sure!.

I used this laminator to replace a previous one I had been using. It isn’t heavy duty (The description says made from heavy duty materials, which is true. ) I tried using a thicker sleeve 150 (This is regarded as a standard thickness) and it only sealed it around the edges where the inserted paper had not reached.

It should seal the pouch to the face of the sheet inserted so the whole page is bonded to the sleeve. I have since replaced this with a different machine and it laminated the same type of pouch, bonding it across the whole face.

I had this model laminator for years but I put a laminator job into the machine in haste,before the rollers had heated fully. the laminated sheet wrapped around the rollers and made the machine unusable.
