This was my first time using spackling so I was a little nervous, but it wound up being so easy to use! The directions were pretty easy to understand, and customer support was able to answer a few lingering questions I had around some of the tips and tricks mentioned on the site and on the packaging through the on-site live chat.

The DryDex was great for covering up a few small areas of damage on my walls from an off-brand adhesive strip (should have known better!). I loved that the kit had everything needed, and the pink to white coloring made it super easy to know when it was good for next steps.

For most people, a hole in the sheet rock means it could cost them a lot to repair or just having to stare at this hole without patience for the landlord to come fix it. My mother reminded me of this company that we’ve long trusted within our business and personal hobbies, so I decided to give it a try.

Long and behold I found this perfect size a little kit to fix the whole rather than having to do an entire sheet rock repair.  now even though I have experience in this because of my line of work, I cannot express how simple this a little kit made it to repair the hole quickly, easily AND it was actually kind of fun! Even if you had no idea what you were doing this would make it so you feel like a professional.

I would recommend this over having to call any repairman because less than $10 vs. having to pay someone $100 or more is always better! .

I bought this a month ago because I had holes in my wall from where I had a HD TV had been hung ; also a guitar hook; both of them were a mess. So I got fiberglass tape and DAP and done

This is just what I need to fix a couple of small holes, after removing a TV Mount, and needed to fix the holes, so I could repaint the wall. Could put it on the wall and smooth it out, just used a sponge with water, then wait a couple hours and repaint the wall, looks great.

I usually don’t try my hand at home repair projects no matter how small. I did step out on a limb and give it a try when my teen son accidentally fell onto his bedroom wall using his fist to stop himself.

I used this kit as directed and still could not get even a semi professional appearance afterwards. It starts drying almost immediately and I just didn’t have the time to get the area smooth enough before it started drying.

Once the drying effect kicked in, it was no maneuvering or manipulation allowed. Eventually, I had my husband rent a sander and he was able to give it a better look but you could still tell that it was patch work.

It does stand up to its claim of dryer faster than other products. I am sure that if I was more handy, I would have been able to appreciate the product more. I would recommend this to people that love small home projects.

It is of great quality and value.

I used it to fix a hole in the wall made from a door knob. This product has a lighter consistency than traditional joint compound and dries much faster. I applied it over a wall patch and it adhered pretty well and covered evenly with little to no breaks or gaps.

If you applied it too thick, I recommend giving it a little extra dry time, otherwise it may still be a bit soft even though it feels dry. It flashes a little worse than drywall mud, but the flashes go away after it cures a bit more and I didn’t need to sand much.

Also, if you are looking to patch up smaller holes, I would recommend getting the one in the tube because the tub starts to dry out once you open it and you’ll end up just throwing it out. Overall it’s a great product!.

There were some bathroom accessories installed in my bathroom- towel racks, towel holder and toilet paper holder- that I did not want anymore. When I went to take them out they left large holes in the wall from where they were screwed in.

These were definitely bigger than just paint over holes! I was thankful to have 3M high strength large hole repair fiber reinforced sparkling compound on hand! The compound is not overly sticky or thick and easily filled the holes.

It also dried quickly and cleanly and I am excited to get those spots painted over and it will look like new! The container holds a lot of compound and I am excited to have this one hand for future diy repairs.

Great for wall repair. Will work on cracks, holes, dings, dents, etc. This product is soft, light, and easy to apply. Spreads evenly. Dries quickly. Doesn’t crack, shrink, or sag. Doesn’t have an odor.

Requires very little sanding. I recommend using primer after sanding, before painting to obtain a finished look. A must have for any homeowner or anyone in the remodeling, construction, property maintenance, etc.

This Onetime light weight spackle is fantastic for all those small jobs. Filling nails holes or filling small cracks in walls and the like. Paintable within minutes and won’t shrink or crack. Cleans up with water.

Make sure your spackle area is clean and free of loose dry wall or dirt, then fill with putty knife application. Made in the USA.

This spackle goes on like soft fluffy butter and does a very nice job of filling small cracks and holes. It dries quickly and is a water cleanup formula. It doesn’t get any more easy and convenient than this.

( It can be used on exterior work, but keep in mind that it should be painted over promptly after the spackle dries. ).

I had a hole behind my bedroom door because my kids would run in my room in the morning’s and throw the door open so hard that it would hit the wall. We have tried other wall repair kits before with not much success.

We even got a doorstop, but that would get stuck on the carpeting and either pop off or bend. So when we received the Gorilla Wall Repair Kit we were exited because they make really good products, products that work.

I have a son who isn’t too careful with my drywall which usually leads to holes. This kit saved the day when it came to repairing a nice big hole he put in the livingroom wall. It comes with everything you need to get a job done.

I like that the mesh is adhesive so we don’t have to try and hold it in place while trying to repair the hole. My only problem is I wish this came in a bigger pack! I got 3 more holes that need fixed and painted over!.

This is a great little wall repair kit. It’s really convenient and easy to use – it even has simple directions included. I used it to repair a small crack in the garage, and several small holes and chips.

It dries fairly quickly and was easy to cover with paint. This is a great kit to keep on-hand for general maintenance.

I’ve used this in the past extensively for repairing holes in my drywall at my house. Recently drilled three holes in my ceiling trying to install a TV cable, but couldn’t get it installed so was left with three holes in my ceiling.

Got the Red Devil Spackling, took a putty knife, pressed it into the holes, smoothed it out, let it dry, then touched it up with some old ceiling paint. Holes are gone, ceiling looks great. Got some on my ceiling trim, it is easily cleaned up with water and, when dry, can easily be sanded and painted.

If you are painting your walls and/or ceilings, I would highly recommend making this your first purchase to get the surface in perfect shape before applying paint.

This was the smoothest spackling I’ve used in a long time. I am in construction and I’ve used a LOT. This went on extremely easy and leveled out without any issues. It wasn’t too thick or too loose. The consistency was very nice.

It filled in the holes I had without cracking or sinking. Overall, I’m super happy with this spackling. Found a new product I’ll continue using.

We are currently in the process off filling holes from door handles and let me tell you this stuff really works. It’s fairly easy to use. Easy directions to follow. Will make the work quick so the painting can happen quickly as well.

I had never worked with plaster before, but got this for some quarantine craft projects. I loved it! It was SO EASY to work with. I made a big mess the first time, but was even able to contain the mess the more I used it and got familiar with it.

I would definitely recommend using it outside for the first couple times, as the powder does make a mess. It is easy to clean up if you don’t let it completely dry. So much plaster in here for the price.

I got multiple projects out of it and still have about half of it left! It comes with mixing directions. I found for my craft use I needed to add a little more water than directed, but I imagine for other uses I would not need to do that.

I used it to dip fake flowers in and make plaster flower votives for tea lights (a few pictured).

I received this product from 3M to review at the perfect time. I was moving out of my apartment, and needed to take care of some nail holes and small imperfections I had caused over my 3 year occupancy.

I really didn’t need a huge can of spackle, and the size was perfect for the little repairs I needed to make. It was super easy to mix in the container included, and I didn’t even have to go out to get a trowel to apply it.

Following the directions, I had a nice patch material with the ideal consistency. Using the included tool, it went on smoothly and filled the holes perfectly. I didn’t have to prime my walls, and it took the paint well.

My landlady couldn’t even tell that I’d hung pictures or that my chair put a little gouge in the wall. With the wall repair kit, I was able to restore my walls to a near-pristine condition, and got all of my depost back.

A few years ago, we had a shower leak that trickled down into the kitchen ceiling causing the sheetrock to get mushy and bulge. My husband pushed on it with his finger and the sheetrock crumbled away in clumps, leaving a gaping hole, much to my dismay.

More recently, I received a free sample of a 3M product to try and then evaluate it. This hole in my ceiling was a perfect opportunity to put this free 3M product to good use! Using the 3M Patch Plus Primer, my repair guy & painter was able to patch the good-sized hole by blending the patch in with the surrounding good sheetrock.

If I didn’t know any better, I would have never guessed that was a repair job. I’m very pleased with the end result.

The Gorilla heavy duty spackling is absolutely wonderful, not only does it work great, but it also allows me to skip a lot of sanding and prepping for painting. Over the years I have tried all sorts of fillers for repairs around my house, some for indoors, outdoors, some for cracks, others for holes and end up with multiple tubs and tubes of fillers.

Not to mention that once applied if the hole is too big the filler droops, or does not go on smooth, and ultimately needs sanding, a second coat and sanding again. Gorilla spackling goes on smooth, doesn’t droop, most of the time needs little if no sanding, doesn’t shrink or crack, can be applied in just one coat and I don’t have to prime it afterwards.

I really appreciated this when I had to fill several woodpecker holes on the 2nd floor of the siding on my house, standing on a 20ft ladder. I was able to fill the holes with the Gorilla spackling and in 20 minutes I was able to just paint one coat and I was finished.

No trying to sand on a ladder or going up and down to fix or prime the holes. The Gorilla heavy duty wall repair is now my go to spackling for any job, big or small, indoors, or out.

First off, I wish I had this stuff when I was in my 20’s renting! This would have been a GEM when it was time to get my home inspection ready so I could get that long sought after deposit check back! Ive used Gorilla tape and Gorilla glue and had very good experiences with them and come to trust their products. So, when I had a small damaged are on a wall where a doorknob had impacted the drywall I decided to give this wall repair compound a try.

I was not disappointed by its performance. Just as their tape and glue has proven to be quality products I can attest that their wall repair compound works great. Easy to use, it spreads well and sands easily.

After its been painted, there’s no evidence that the wall has been repaired at all. I’ll be buying it again the next time I need to repair a wall.

I’ve coated my bathroom ceiling with it, my rv roof, one entire wall inside my house, and many stucco repairs. It’s durable, last’s forever and it won’t crack. Bonds to almost anything and makes a very waterproof coating.

Once it’s dry it’s like rubber coating whatever you put it on.

I love using this for small areas, it works just like mud, without the mixing and guessing. I always suggest waiting 30 more minutes after the entire area turns white before you lightly sand, because it’s still damp and will transfer to your sanding block.

It’s perfect for small to medium size jobs. It’s only roughly $10 at Home Depot, for 32oz can. Don’t be fooled by the small can with the spatula included, that’s where they get you. Buy the large can like I purchased, and buy a 3 inch putting flex knife.

This stuff is awesome! A little goes a long way and I love how it turns white when it’s dry. The color makes it easier to apply so you can make sure you don’t miss a spot. I didn’t need to sand after using it on drywall and even used it to fill in scratches on a windowsill from my cat.

It’s also very easy to clean up if you drop some or get it on fabric. It did shrink a hair, but I think it’s because I did way too thin of a coat (like 1/32″). If you have something that literally takes paint off the wall like gorilla tape, this product fills in the holes very nicely.

I did holes up to two inches across and down to the brown paper of drywall and it worked great. It also comes off your skin very easily with warm water and soap. This also stays good awhile after opening and closing the lid.

I like the concept of color changing to indicate that the spackle has dried. The consistency is slightly thicker than the joint compound they sell in buckets. It goes on smoothly provided you have a nice taping edge.

It fills in gaps and cracks really well and I haven’t noticed any significant shrinking. For shallow fills, you need to work on the quicker side to make sure it doesn’t dry out and get too thick. It sands well.

Good for the average homeowner but for me my preference is to mix my own compound.

This is a great spackling product. It spreads beautifully, sticks well and you can scrape off the excellent and then use it to patch a further hole. I used it to repair windows on our 100-yr old house and it works miracles in making uneven areas smooth again.

It dries fast, so you can paint over it in 30 min. Unfortunately, the shipping costs are almost as much as the product, so wish we could ask for free local Walmart delivery to pickup there.

Looked long time. This old house website recommended. Filled 4 holes 8-12 inches by 6 inches high by 3/4 inch deep with a bottom edge. No sagging. No drooping. Dries hard in 1. 5 hours. Woo-hoo. House is starting to look very nice.

I used this for my wall after I had several wall holes and nail holes. This stuff works fast and I had a bowl of water to smooth over the paste because it dries fast. All the nail holes and wall holes are gone and it doesn’t even look like I had patches in them!.

They supplied more than I needed and was able to fix a part that was set aside. I would recommend this product for quick fixes. Dries hard and fast, blends in after sanding and paint dries smooth for the last step.

Wanted something easy to fill in nail holes and other areas before painting garage and thought I’d have to use a product that required a lot of sanding. This spackling is for indoor or outdoor use, and sands as easily as indoor spackling; only very light sanding was necessary.

Worked great and save me time.

This must of been pretty old. Had to mix water with it to get it to the right consistent. Was pretty dry!

I have used a variety of patching materials over the years, but almost exclusively chose the bottle type of containers, thinking that was the best option around. After using the 3M Large Hold Repair, I don’t think I will ever go back to any other type of patching brand/container.

Patching four holes took less than a minute and produced perfect results. The product says it is mainly for larger patches, but I can definitely say it works great on small ones too. Although you can use your finger easily, having a flat edged patching tool does make the install much easier and more consistent.

All around a great product.

I bought this product because I was unable to find Dap Crack-Shot Spackling Paste. The product has the consistency of shaving cream and is highly aerated. Weight-wise, you are not getting much for you money.

It does spread incredibly well and leaves a finish that is almost perfect, even by someone unskilled in taping (me). A little bit goes a long way and when dried, you can paint on it directly without primer.

Cons: This product is unsuitable for deep cracks, holes, or depressions. In applications over 1/4 in. thick, the product was the consistency of window glazing even after a few days. The directions on the container are absent or vague concerning stirring, use, and strength.

It doesn’t sand easily and there are no directions concerning how best to sand it if you have to. This is definitely a high-tech product and it bears little resemblance to traditional materials. This product could use more extensive directions and even a video.

Once you’ve worked most (but not all) of the pros and cons become obvious.

This DAP patch & paint product is a must have in all your remodeling construction work. It’s easy to apply and cover all the imperfections of your work giving professional finished results. I mostly use ant the end of my jobs because with this light weight spackling, I fix all my details.

I really reccomend this product, a great quality, fast drying on dry walls, and stucco and the best thing nos that won’t shrink; is simply the best.

this is not really sparkle–it doesn’t stick together, it doesn’t patch holes. It says it is paintable within minutes, but it stays wet and crumbly. IT RUINED MY PAINTING PROJECT!
