They have never failed me. Whenever you are vacuuming hard floors and have the belt stretched to turn brush roll off, don’t forget to place it back in the regular position prior to storing your vacuum cleaner so that the belt won’t get stretched out.

I love this harness. I haven’t used it for the reason I bought it yet, (to be used on my dog while paddle boarding), but I have discovered it’s amazing ability to thwart my dog’s whale like antics to throw herself backward, going limp, and melt right out of the harness like a cooked noodle when she doesn’t want to go or leave somewhere.

My dog is a 55lb Golden Retriever / Border Collie, she’s a big heavy noodle. I used to own the Rabitgo dog harness which was nice for her to wear while we biked, however within 3mo she learned how to pinch her shoulders together and melt out of the harness.

She would also (mostly at the dog park) go stiff leg when we would leave and then rear up and throw herself backward ( like a whale jumping out of the ocean )so she was sprawled on the ground. Your only option was to literally drag her from the park.

She is 4yrs old now and is an amazing whale flopper. she can slip out of anything. until now. I can literally just hold her in the air by my side while she tries to wiggle and squirm out of the harness to no avail with this RuffWear harness.

For that reason alone this harness is worth every penny to me, whether or not it works in the water. As far as fitting goes, I bought the large. Her neck is 19inches. Behind the front legs 31inches. In front of the back legs 25 inches.

From base of neck to the start of the tail is 27 inches in length. It seems to fit her well. The components are well built the D ring is sturdy the buckles are heavy duty and it’s well stitched. I think the only thing that could make this harness better would be having another D ring in the front.

I know they have other harnesses with this feature, but multiple attachments is just handy when it comes to dogs. Overall, I would recommend this harness and I won’t be going back to my previous harness.

Originally I purchased the red Flagline harness in size XS on Amazon for 20 pound Maggie. She is a rescue dog and looks like a Dachshund-Cocker Spaniel mix. The XS fit perfectly in the neck and chest straps, but the belly straps would not go around, since she is barrel-shaped.

Next I ordered size S directly from Ruffwear, because I wanted to get the new salmon color. The chest and belly straps of the larger size fit fine, but the neck straps are loose even when tightened as far as they will go.

I have considered sewing them, but so far she has worn it loose in the front. It looks a little funny and makes a gap underneath as well— and the loose fabric drags over the grass. The metal hardware from the matching leash also causes a stain over the area of the harness handle.

I do love the light weight of the harness, matching leash and collar. They are all made well and the colors are beautiful. The handle is great for getting in and out of the car. But if you have a dog with a barrel-shaped figure and no definable waistline, chances are good that this harness will not be the best fit.

I’m thinking about ordering the Hi and Lite version of the harness (without the second set of straps) for Maggie in XS. I suspect that it will be a better fit, though not as secure or handy.

This is great for all types of jobs. Used it on the metal frames of our rattan furniture, outside on black frame of lights and metal and concrete garden figures. All look like new.

Bought to varnish my air drying clay pieces. Covers well, dries quickly & leaves a great protective coat .

Our dog Sasha loves her new harness and didnt want us to take it off of her! Very happy with it after having tried several different types! Thank You and we received it very fast too

The harness slides down on one side and is unbalanced on her back, even with a few things of equal weight in each pocket. Probably because of this, the handle is ineffective. I have the size medium in the front range, and it fits my standard poodle just fine.

‘However, I wanted one with a handle because on another harness that feature helped control her when she leaps up high on seeing squirrels and other dogs. I also wanted the pockets because that seems to calm her, but not when the harness is slipping way down on one side.

I have tried to tighten it, whichIfound difficult by the way, but This harness would not tighten enough to solve the problem. She has a thin back and the deep standard poodle chest. Why would the medium front range fit and not this.

Please help! tell me what I should do.

Total game changer for me and my German Shepard cross. Was told about the front clip no pull harness years ago so really kicking myself it’s taken till he’s 4 and half before I invested in one. The front clip just generally seems to make him much calmer on walks, it’s just not intuitive for him to pull and seems to be transferring to when he’s only on a collar and lead too.

The harness seems very comfy for him to wear and the pockets are bigger than I expected and will fit a ball/poo bags/tick twister/doggy first aid stuff etc. When it’s only got poo bags in it just looks like a normal harness coat not a big backpack.

Stitching and webbing very well made and good quality. He won’t slip out and would trust picking him up in it to put him over a fence. A bit pricey but it has honestly changed our walking habits so much that I would say it’s worth every penny – for what I feel I’ve got out of it, I would have paid the same again.

Let me start out by saying that I love walking…I mean its kinda my stick, and since my dogs love sticks, (numerous can be found while walking), its a win-win; however, what isn’t so fun is carrying all the stuff required on a hot summer day, while walking or riding my bike.

Bottled water, poopie bags, used poopie bags…don’t you love that left over poopie bag smell. No matter where I put the bag, there is always a little residual smell, and although the leashes I bought have a place to tie them after use, the feeling of a cold poop filled bag slapping against my waist as I walk….

annoying to say the least. So, giving my dog pockets was the best solution…carry your own poop! The bag is not huge at all, so if you are a hiker and want your dog to carry some weight, this is not the tool for you.

What it can carry is two water bladders (one on each side) with about 16oz of water each, a poopie bag roll, and one or two full poopie bags (as the water bladders empty). I have even had my girl carry my phone when both water bladders were not necessary.

This is the maximum though. The side pockets do not expand, so the more you shove in there, the more the harness will stick out away from the dogs body. I will also add that my dog has issues with a lot of harnesses rubbing away her fur.

I first ordered the Front Range harness for my Great Pyrenees and Lab. It worked well for the Pyrenees, but with the lab it rubbed away a huge patch of fur on her chest and even started to get little scabs.

I then exchanged it for this harness, and her hair has completely grown back with no additional rubbing anywhere else. I only wish it came in pink, as everyone thinks she is a boy, but I thought the blue was the best looking color.

I’ve used Puppia for my gang for years. My Pitbull is the youngest of my gang and he also grew up with Puppia. When he hit a little over a year old, his large was tight on him, but also didn’t seem fit his body right.

I wanted to try something new so I bought a Kurgo at a really good deal. My favorite part about this harness is how you hook it. No buckles – the 2 parts of the fasteners slip inside each other and surprisingly don’t move or feel like the harness is going to come off.

It made it easier to put it on my dog too as he isn’t fond of his harness. The fit is great and it’s nice and padded. I like where the leash loop is which made it easier to walk him. I’d definitely buy more of these for him if need be.

Padded top with small handle (two fingers) — padded chest with all metal buckles and rings. Life warranty. Seems good quality but maybe a tad heavy for a small toy. Neck is not adjustable on mine – solid material construction and back is only a little adjustable- not much extra nylon to make it fit fatter dogs.

My skinny 11 lb and 12 lb dogs maybe a tiny bit to loose around neck but barely fits my fat 16lb male toy. Buckle is unique in that you turn it up to slide through a hole and you have to turn it a certain way to take it off and a different way to put it on.

if you take on and off for long haired breeds might be tricky at first. I like it – buying another for another dog. love seatbelt buckle but I can’t use probably because we have too many dogs. Would recommend for 10lb dog -15lb dog size small.

This is a great harness for walking your dog in the dark or early mornings. It adjusts and fit my dog just right. This keeps her right by my side and she is comfortable in it. I recommend to order dog owners.

Okay so I’ve tried 7 different harnesses (yea I’m extra and my dog deserves the best, obviously) and returned them all, except for this one. These are some other popular ones I tried for ref: Ruffwear frontrange petsafe 3 in 1 K9 balance harness Barkbay no pull 2hounds no pull design Some random ones from Petsmart (Arcadia trail, I think?) The above either chaffed my dog (petsafe and K9 balance), didn’t fit properly (bad neck to chest ratio), or made her unwilling to walk because they were heavy.

My dog has a really deep chest, and a skinny neck and stomach with very spindly legs and super thin/no hair on her underside. She’s not a greyhound, but has a really similar build to one. She doesn’t pull on the leash at all, but I did want a front hook option for high traffic areas.

I could not find another harness that fit both her neck and chest. She’s a 16″ neck and a 29. 5″ chest, and I went with the large since I wanted to make sure it was long enough for her without digging into her armpits.

I think potentially the medium would have also worked since I’ve got both straps all the way tight on the large, but I noticed the bottom of the harness (like the bottom fabric part) is so much longer on the large than it is on the medium based on the measurements on the product page so that’s why we went with large.

This harness is super light and seems really durable. I’ve been using it for several weeks at this point and the straps haven’t loosened at all. My dog seems way more comfortable in this harness than her old one.

She’s a sensitive gal and her reactivity has already improved a bunch since she’s no longer being made a grump by her harness rubbing. Anyways, you should buy this because its super cute and well made and my dog loves it, and honestly, the price is really fair for what you get.

I was super glad to find this harness for our pup. She’s an 85 lb German Shepherd who is still working on training and walking etiquette. We previously had an easy-walk harness with the front clip and I LOVED it for training as it helps dogs turn around and look at you when the leash is pulled on.

I love that this harness has options for easy-walk adjacent leash clip as well as a back leash clip, which we use to clip her car seat belt into. I also love the durability of the harness; like I said, she’s still learning and is SUPER strong but this harness holds up and just from looking at it you can tell the stitching and make is solid.

Haven’t had a chance to try it during beach trips to see how it handles water but I’m sure it’ll be fine based on our experience so far. It’s also very cute on her and the color isn’t too loud like other harnesses you see on the market.

It is the very best thought out design I’ve seen on a harness: the dog doesn’t need to step through anything; the back clip-in point is oriented to distribute the force of a pulling dog throughout the harness (which minimizes pressure points when your dog who’s bred to sled is pulling you to your destination); and there’s a front clip in point when you want to minimize pulling tendencies.

Super burly and durable, while being comfortable and breathable. One of my dogs has put thousands of miles on his with no damage or fraying at all – incredible. Sammy is my rescued terrier who wants to chase anything that moves. This new harness is very comfortable for walking, running or in the car and secure without being restricting behind his front legs.

He is always with me and wears it all day. Under any lighting conditions the reflective trim make him very visible in the desert, scrub or woods. His name and phone number are also very visible taking out the worry, should he get away.

I should mention that the easy to reach handle to top makes him easy to control in any circumstance. Most of all it is a great looking harness and he looks great and comfortable in it.

I have had such pulling problems when walking with my Labrador Retriever ever since I got him at 7 weeks old. I have had other. Harnesses but they did not work after my Tucker grew. He loves this harness and comes right to me to put it on to go out.

He is so happy and proud to wear it. I have better control over his pulling and he is getting better at not pulling , unless he sees a rabbit then all bets are off.

We have a 9 year old Newfoundland who has never worn a harness, but we thought we would try it. He loved it from the start and no more collar around his neck on his walks. We purchased an x-large and it fits perfectly.

He weighs 147 lbs. and it could be let out if your dog is larger. There is nice padding against his fur too. Another great product from Orvis!.

Purchased the original One Tigris Vest in a large after measuring my dog as directed. As always with Chewy, it arrived very quickly. But we were so disappointed when we tried it on our dog. It was just huge on her.

Chewy refunded us and I ordered a medium. Although the medium was a slightly better, it was still baggy, bulky and very loose even with all the straps cinched and pulled as tight as they go. I found it difficult to believe that a deep chested, 63 pound dog would need a small, so I went directly to the One Tigris website – this is what the manufacturer said: “Why Choose OneTigris FIRE WATCHER 2.

I really like the harnesses due to their ease of use, reflective coloring, and the soft and moisture wicking material. The buckles for both straps instead of just one were a life saver getting my picky pups into the harnesses without struggling.

It’s been easiest to unbuckle the body strap and slip the other one over their heads. We took them (I have 3, all under 20lbs) to the vet in the harnesses today and even though they were a bit loose the harnesses were incredibly helpful keeping the dogs still for their appointment – and the little handle on top made it super easy to get the pups up into the car and on the examination table.

They’re small but put up a big fight every time. The only part I would change about this is the placement of the clips – I haven’t had an issue with this yet but it may rub on their “armpits” with longer exposures.

I’d also like to mention that their outreach team is amazing – I mentioned the harnesses were too big and they reached out to get a different size sent, and said to donate the larger ones to an animal shelter.

That really convinced me that the brand is interested in helping animals, not just themselves. I’d continue to give them my business a dozen times over going into the future because their products are great and they are also good people :).

I’ve used this harness for a couple of months now on my medium-size (30lbs) beagle-terrier mix pooch. When I began fostering her in November 2020, she came with another harness that was designed for much larger dogs.

It was heavy/bulky and a bit too large for her, even at its tightest setting, which caused it to slip from side to side. Once I officially adopted her in January 2021, I decided to check out other harness options.

This fits well (once properly adjusted at first use), and is really light, but durable. The “light” aspect is important due to the approaching Summer months where it’s unbearably hot and humid in our region.

The mesh material will keep it “breathable” for those many sticky months. The “durable” aspect is important as this kiddo instinctively and suddenly lunges at the sight of a squirrel, rabbit, etc. She is also “dog reactive”, resulting in lunging and pulling when other dogs get too close.

Her strength is extraordinary, and I’m happy to report that this harness manages to keep her restrained in such situations, even as I am holding on with both hands and leveraging my legs to stablize myself.

(I’m 5’10” and relatively fit. and she still tests my stability with her surprise “bolts”!) Glad to have found this harness!.

I am very pleased with the adjustment capability of this harness to get a good fit on my dog. He’s much happier in it than in a no pull nose harness. We’ve walked several times but not yet experienced another excited dog to truly test out how well it controls his pulling (which would definitely get it 5 stars).

I’m also happy with how comfortable he seems to be in it for long periods. Kept him in the harness all weekend for fast leash hookup in the car and at the house we were visiting. 3 days, no tugging or pulling trying to get out of it.

It fails at 2 of it’s main selling points. 1) Hands free? It is not, the adjustment cannot be tightened down past the almost useless bag holder. 2) While adding a locking mechanism sound cool, this one requires a tool to release the interior clip and removing the collar from your pooch to get it unlocked and it still isn’t “easy”.

I’m not really sure why you need it to lock anyway unless you plan on leaving your dog unattended in which case if rover is an escape artist they can chew through the strap. The clip on the loch it too hard to photograph when locked or I would have uploaded one.

If one was to check this out in person I doubt they would pay a premium price for it. On line purchases will likely be returned, I would. As a basic lease, it is nice and strong and I like this style of latch vs the slide bolt style to attach it to the dog’s collar once I remove the locking mechanism because it gets in the way of releasing the latch.

I got this when I saw it was 6. 5’ to replace my old Flat Out leash. I use this for running and hiking as a waist leash and the extra 6 inches are super helpful! It’s light and packs small to fit in a pocket or dog pack.

The lichen color is yellow with pink woven through. The locking clip is not for me. I don’t have a need for a lock and find it gets in the way of attaching the leash. Also the accessory pocket is difficult to use and unless you fold the poop bags perfectly it makes a big lump in the leash which is annoying when having it around your waist.

I would have preferred the loop that is on the other leashes. Overall I do like this as a lightweight and slightly longer leash and would get it again.

This collar is gorgeous, it’s lightweight so our dog doesn’t get bothered by it. The colour is just gorgeous too. We got matching collar lead and flagline harness and wouldn’t buy any other brand. Absolutely love the ruffwear products.

I will be buying more colours.

After only a short time the collar is snagged and I don’t expect it to last long. I’m used to Ruffwear products made of high quality durable materials. This collar might work for an inactive dog but not for a an active Vizsla who spends a lot of time in the New Mexico high desert.

This collar is nice and light. I also purchased the lightweight harness. These are great. I think my pup appreciates the light gear!

The sizing is way off. It is incredibly small. I ordered a large because that is what my dog is considered to be. She is a 65-pound malamute. The only description of size on line is Medium, Large, X-large/XX-Large and XX-Large/3X-Large.

However, the harness is so small, only a dog half her size might be able to wear it. I went to the Petco store and saw larger ones there that actually had measurements on the harness, but according to these measurements, she would need an XX-large.

That is ridiculous. My other dog is 95 pounds and couldn’t fit into the XXX-Large. There are a lot of dogs larger than him. It looks well made. Easy to get over her head and would be easy to buckle if it fit, so putting it on and taking it off would be very easy.

Well padded so it should be comfortable. The information on line says it has 2 D- rings for attaching a leash; however, the picture only shows one and that is all that is on the harness that I have.

I wanted this item because I have a 100+ lbs big boy, but unfortunately it didn’t fit him! It’s my fault, it comes with a measurement chart and I really should have looked at that. Thankfully I have smaller dogs to try it out with, it fit my 70+ lbs girls perfectly! This item is just really well made: heavy duty material, clean stiches, and metal clasps instead of plastic.

It should last a long time. My only cons with it is that it’s really heavyweight, it probably would help tire out a younger dog, but my 11 year-old old girl does not need help with that, and that it is very pricey.

However you do get a quality product from that price.

Very sturdy feeling and strong clasps. Instantly know it is a premium product by feeling it. Well placed reflective strips. However it is an absolute magnet for dog hairs that you can’t just brush off, as the neoprene padding seems to just absorb hairs.

I have a short haired dog and was noticing hairs getting stuck in the padding as soon as I held it up to her to make sure it was the right size! I also am just not a fan of camo prints, so if they make improvements to the product I would hope other colors and patterns would be made available.

Django loves his #ArcadiaTrail harness. It has plenty of pocket space for doggie poop baggies and snacks and he is even able to carry his own water bowl. The fit is comfortable and my favorite thing about this harness is the handle on the top.

Django likes to hike off leash and having this handle on gives me a sturdy handhold when I am clipping his leash on and off the harness even perched on the side of a mountain. His leash can be attached to either his chest area or back.

This harness is really great quality! Unfortunately, I selected a medium based on the size charts, but it was too small for my dog. I would recommend sizing up if you’re close to the next size! It fit my brother’s dog perfectly so I tried it out with her for awhile! The expandable back bag was great and would be awesome for hikes.

I would totally recommend this for anyone who loves to get out with their dog and I will probably order a L soon!.

Bought this to secure our dog in the car, luckily we had the matching Barbour lead already to complete the look! Sizing is not clear and measurements conflict with those on the Barbour website but we bought MEDIUM for our Cockapoo and it is a perfect size around her tummy after adjusting the body strap to nearly maximum by first rethreading the strap so the adjustment buckle was on the other side of the harness.

At first it looks like you can’t extend it to fit until you do this. Chest panel is perfect size for her. It is not that clear what you do with the strap to secure her in the car but after looking online I realised you thread both legs of the seatbelt (lap and shoulder) through the loop and then lock the seatbelt in.

Adjusting the harness initially is a bit fiddly but it only needs doing once. Might buy a spare loop from elsewhere for second car, pity Barbour don’t do one.

The dog harness is beautifully made. I chose the medium for my shiz poo as he fell into that category. It’s easy to make the harness bigger to fit but it looks odly off kilter when he’s off the lead.

Despite this I’m really happy with. The lead is sadly a very different story. The leather is good quality but the thread used isn’t a great colour and the stitching isn’t the best. It looks cheap and would’ve benefitted from a wax layer to make it stain proof.

It’s also not a good length, could do with being a bit longer. I’d return it if I could as used only the once since purchase.

This is upside down in terms of a normal dog harness and it is really badly designed. So the bit you see in the photo is the bit that goes on the dog’s tummy. The bit that goes on the dog’s back is the reverse.

Plus the clip where the lead attaches is around the neck, negating the whole point of a dog harness. They literally don’t seem to understand how to design a dog harness. I’m surprised John Lewis is selling this product.

Note to the buyers at John Lewis – just buy this product and try it on your dog. Then you’ll see it’s not fit for purpose.

Tough substantial light weight harness. Easily washed so far. I got the black one, same as my dog and attached coloured bicycle lights fir the dark. Easy to put in the dog Very pleased. I got medium for my 20 inch 54cm 6 nth puppy to grow and it is just tight to take to adult.

Have always had a problem getting a good fit for my Romanian rescue but have been delighted with the Line harness. There is some slack under her chest but not an issue as the fit is otherwise perfect.

On the pricey side but very good quality so delighted!.

I bought the matching harness to go with my new shelter dog’s collar. I wasn’t sure his size so I bought the large and it’s a little loose but works great and is so cute! It’s perfect to use to buckle him up in the car and seems very sturdy so far.
