This pack is very well made with good attention to detail and quality. It’s a good size pack if you want to travel with a carry on backpack. Unfortunately, I had to return it because it was not a good fit for my body type.

Ordering this pack on-line, I was a bit nervous since at 32lt. it was larger than the 26lt. I wanted. However, it is very light and adjusts to fit perfectly. There are no complaints about quality. I love the feel and stability.
The bottle pouches are extra large and deep. In a perfect world I would add a narrow pouch to the hip belt for storing a snack and the front storage on the outside would be horizontal rather than vertical to allow more space.
Overall, this pack performs well on long day hikes and is excellent value.
The Hikelite 32 is a great pack overall , it is my everyday bag and also my weekend backpacking bag. The main compartment is large and spacious , and I quite like the hydration sleeve for my water bladder.
There are some smaller pockets to keep different items such as the top lid , the under side of the lid and a zippered compartment on the front of the bag. My only issue with the bag is that there are not much compartment for storing smaller items , I love to keep different category items together and separate them with the rest , but i cant do it with this bag.
I need to store all personal items such as headlamp , wallet phone powerbank etc on the top lid , the front compartment is too small to store a jacket or other clothing. I would just store an umbrella there and that’s it.
Also there are not much color option for the bag in my area. I know its an exclusive bag but i still hope there is the graphite gray option as i would use the bag for everyday use as well. I wish the side mesh pockets for storing water bottles could have a compression strap to strap smaller bottles there to prevent it from swooshing inside the compartment.
And i wish there are more compartments such as adding another layer on the top lid and maybe a small compartment in the front of the bag. Overall , its a versatile bag that can suit all of my needs and it gets the job done.
If there are more smaller compartment for storing items and more choice for colors then it woulld be perfect.
This is a nice light day hike pack for people with regular torso length. It had some nice features and an included detachable rain cover. Unlike many of Osprey’s other packs, this is a one size fits all so if you have a short or long torso length, this may not be the pack for you.
The Kyte 56 is a hiking bag for women from Osprey. It is perfect for multi-day trips, regardless of the weather conditions. Perfect to put all your equipment. The Kyte series has been modernised in the same way but retaining the characteristics that have made it so successful.
In terms of carrying, it is a comfortable bag with a “classic” well ventilated Airscape foam back. The straps and padded waistband provides good stability of the bag on the back. All straps and the back panel are adjustable so that you can adapt your bag to your body shape.
The Kyte 56 includes a rain cover, so that you can protect your bag and things when the weather gets bad. Its external attachments can accommodate bulky equipment such as floor mats or tents. The Stow-on-the-go pole attachment is ingenious because you can attach your poles to the bag without having to take it off.
The various pockets are very practical and allow you to organise your bag. There is a large U-shaped zipped opening on the front panel of the bag for easy access to your equipment. The Kyte 56 also has an access under the upper flap with a drawstring closure, as well as a lower sleeping bag compartment with removable divider.

Really good backpack – it was perfec for my trip. It can be opened from bottom, middle and top, so it was easy for me to keep organized. It’s well fitted on my back – I’m 172cm tall. Everybody that saw me said it looked like I had a much smaller backpack, but liter wise it was the same as theirs.
First of all, ordering from Seven Horizons was a breeze, and I was extremely impressed with their efficiency and the care taken in packaging the order. As for the product itself, it is very, very light, and a good size – though I did struggle to get everything into it for a 3-day cold weather trip (which might say more about me than the pack).
The bottom compartment does suffer a little from being split in two and could be a bit larger, and while the side pockets on the hip straps are a great idea, they are too far back to actually reach easily while walking – if these were moved forward a little they would be brilliant.
The pack is comfortable to carry and all the straps are easy to adjust even when you have it on. It appears to be quite tough as well – nothing about it felt flimsy or fragile. So yes, there were some design features I would change, but all things considered I was very happy with the pack and I suspect it will be getting used rather frequently in the future.

Purchased this to use on our daily walks. We live in an area being regentrified with lots of stray dogs and lots of “action. ” This stick is amazing. I can carry it alone as one piece or detach it and hand my wife one piece if we’re confronted with a dangerous situation.
The stick assembles and disassembles within seconds. It’s not very lightweight, but it’s strong, solid quality and what is expected for all of those moving pieces. We like it so much.
After extensive research I went with Prime Adventure. I am writing a review because the reviews here sold me. I was pleasantly surprised at the product quality as it was even sturdier than expected. Great craftsmanship, the compass pops out of its cradle a little easy, not sure if by design, will probably add some epoxy I wouldn’t want to lose it on a hike.
Everything fits nicely together looks great and will take a beating. Super happy with my purchase.
Very well built, high quality materials. Strong and rugged. But too heavy to be a good walking stick, and the bottom point is too shallow/dull to get a grip on rocks or ground. You’d be better off with a light hiking pole and a separate knife or axe on your belt.
Unless you met a bear. Then you’d want this thing.

I’ve been searching for a pack in this size class for AGES. I need something for fast-and-(semi)light one- or two- night trips with my ultralight gear that STILL has the load carrying capacity for me to throw in 4 or 6 liters of water for those occasions when I have a dry camp in the high country, or for when I’m taking an extended day hike on a dry trail and need to carry plenty of extra water for my dog.
Most ultralight packs are too delicate for what I’m going to put them through and don’t won’t carry that extra water-weight comfortably, and most day packs in the 35L size class are significantly heavier than this one.
or don’t have a great frame or waist belt. This pack ticks all the boxes. It has a good frame and a great waist belt that transfers the load very efficiently, and it’s still light enough that I’m shaving a pound and a half off the other pack I was considering.
So far I’ve only taken it on two overnight trips: one night, 20 miles round trip on flat ground; and two nights up on the continental divide with 15+ mile days and around 4000 feet of elevation. I think the heaviest I had it loaded, including food and extra dog-water, was pushing 25 pounds and it carried the weight just as comfortably as my larger 46L pack.
The pack itself is light enough that my base weight is in the upper teens (an acceptable trade, in my mind, for the ability to pack that extra water when necessary). I’ve also taken it on a few short day hikes when we were more concerned about day-“glamping” with chairs and cold beverages than putting on miles and climbing mountains.
Another consideration: I’m HARD on gear, and this pack so far seems rugged enough to handle whatever I throw at it, unlike the true ultralight models I had considered. Over all, this is the perfect pack for those adventures when I need something light enough to put in some long days but still sturdy enough to carry that extra water I need to camp in those marginal places I like to frequent.
Plus, it’s a nice, sleek-looking pack that doesn’t have a lot of extra features I’m never going to use. My ONLY complaint is that I wish it had hip pockets on both sides. The modular attachments are cool and all, but honestly, I just want a plain, simple pocket.
Otherwise, it’s perfect! For reference, I’m female, 5’6″ and 140 pounds.
I have never owned a 15L pack but wanted to try one for hikes where I didn’t need to take much with me. It was so nice to find a pack that feels sturdy with great useful features, but isn’t over engineered.
I was skeptical that this would be too small but I am really happy with how it has worked out. It is a great trail companion, or personal carry on while flying. I can even drape a rain coat over top, as you would climbing rope, and cinch it down with the two side straps if I want.
The side water bottle sleeves fit a Nalgene bottle. I am most happy with how wide it opens up. Some bucket style lids just don’t open up enough, this one allows you to see everything comfortably and access it with ease.
I will say that the narrower tapering of the pack isn’t the best for fitting a laptop. I would suggest the size up (25L) if you are looking for something to use more for that intention. If you are looking for a bag that has great versatile function, is comfortable to carry, made from quality material, and fits your essentials, this is a great choice.
First of all it’s a handsome pack. That said, I’m a discerning user so all of its functionality is super important to me. In my case I am using mostly using it to haul gear to climbing crags. It carries up to 30# quite comfortably and can fit a lot for 35l.
40l, I think would be my sweet spot but the 45l version felt too big for my needs. I liked the wide range of size adjust-ability on the torso length. I can use the side straps if draping a coiled rope over the top.
It has just the right amount of pockets, though a minor quibble would be that the side and front pockets need just a little more stretch or room to make them more usable.

I am sublimating my COVID cabin fever by loading up on gear. This pack caught my eye locally, but they did not have the gray/yellow combo I wanted; giving me the opportunity to patronize Backcountry as I would always prefer to do, Here’s what I like about this pack: First, the Airspeed suspension is the best in class for keeping your back cool.
Second, I like the rigid frame of this pack, so it doesn’t collapse on itself if not completely full. Third, the “size” fits on my back perfectly = not too big and not too small. Fourth, as another poster below noted, this pack holds a lot for its 26L stated size.
Fifth, while some people might wish the front “shove it” pocket was mesh, I am not a mesh fan, so I like this version just the way it is. Finally, the top pocket for sunnys etc is a nice feature too.
People can grouse they wished it had pocket(s) on the waist belt, or a more robust bungee on the water bottle side pockets; but Hey! at $100 this is a feature-laden bargain! One final note: The pictures really don’t do justice to all the nice colors of this pack.
The blue is rich blue, the orange is bright safety orange and the black is a rich black with gray trim = all very nice. I just happen to like yellow, so the yellow trim on the gray model appeals to me.
The interior on mine is also bright yellow, so I can see down to the bottom of the main compartment. I am delighted and think you would be too.

I purchased a new Osprey Men’s Stratos 36 Pack since my old was had a lot of wear and tear and the belt zippers failed. I knew about Osprey guarantee, but couldn’t wait the 8 to 12 weeks to have my old pack repaired.
The new Stratos 36 has a couple of nice features one of which is the large pocket in on the back of the main compartment. My old Stratos had two pockets on top that were smaller. The main compartment on the new Stratos was only top loading, so you have to dig through everything to get to the stuff on the bottom.
The old one had a large zipper that completely opened the main compartment. A feature I really liked – no digging. No matter how I adjust the new Stratos I find I can’t get it to fit as nice as the old.
So I sent the old Stratos 36 off to Osprey to get it repaired. I received a couple of messages that they couldn’t totally repair it and offers of a new pack. Since I already had a new pack I wasn’t happy with, I asked they repair the old one as much as possible and return it.
Today it arrive and to my surprise NOTHING was done to it.
I bought the Stratos 24 to replace a Manta 36 which I found too big for my. needs. However, I was surprised at how little storage there really was in the Stratos when you put a water reservoir into the its space in the main compartment.
I had to push my water jacket firmly to the bottom of the compartment. There is a small zip compartment on the back of the pack, but it has very little space. I loved the frame and the back that pushes it away from.
your back with a stiff but open piece of fabric. It should keep you from getting your back too warm on hot days. The waist belt was wider than the one on my manta so that was a nice feature. But the length and width of the two packs are the same.
The only real difference are the number and depth of the pockets. I decided to return the Stratos and work in a better fit for the Manta.
This daypack is great for carrying medium weights, with fantastic airflow for the back. The pockets are very conveniently placed; in particular, the easily accessible front pocket is a great design idea.
The belt is very comfortable and includes an additional two pockets that fit a smartphone, sunglasses, etc. There are a ton of adjustments to ensure that the pack is a great fit. One note however: we also happen to have the men’s version, which is almost identical, and we feel that the pack is a better fit for men in terms of size and bulk.
To a certain degree, it feels a bit too big/heavy for a daypack, yet too small for a multiday backpack. An alternative would be the Hikelite 26 which we also have and, for some reason, feels much more compact despite being a 26L pack.

I took ages assessing almost every bag on the market available in the UK and stopped with this one. There were two/three issues with this bag but I’m so happy I took the plunge as they are significantly dwarfed by the pros.
The issues? Lack of back length adjustment, weight (1. 5kgs not a biggie) and non-removable waist belt. The pros? The ‘spine’ technology is simply amazing and unbelievably comfortable. The compression is superb in that with just day walking items it’s slim and weighted extremely well, with a full expedition load it’s got lots of access points and weights on hips/shoulders very very well.
I would use this for 30-60l purpose. And again, the movement with the spine pivot is second to none. give the person a pay rise who thought of that! The material is light but strong and the shape is very well thought out with narrow at the bottom and wide(r) at the top.
The Mammut Ducan 28-35l purchase I just made is fantastic. I am 64 yr old female and have had many packs previously. This pack met my criteria and exceeded them. ! I am 5′ 11″ feet tall, so the men’s was the one for me.
It fits incredibly well. I carry only one hiking pole and the side attachment works allowing me to stash the pole without removing pack. Water bladder sleeve is great. AIso, I can remove and replace a large Nalgene easily.
The shoulder pockets are excellent for InReach, and personal products or phone. The side pocket looked small but my phone fits well. The removable pocket is waterproof though I have not decided which attachment point works best for me as yet.
The front zipper is key to ease of searching. Having the option for extra carrying capacity is great. I have one complaint: the bungee cinch straps are vulnerable when travelling in thick brush (Newfoundland) off trail.
I love this backpack! It is full of well executed features – from side pockets to middle zipper and expandable storage – all great. I love the colour as well. The quality is superb. Unfortunately whoever designed the straps and the back of it did not think of comfort.
Shoulder straps need a lot more padding. That inovation at the back is not good – the smaller the surfice, the greater the pressure. It pokes at the spine and makes it very uncomfortable – for me at least.

I would have awarded that backpack 5 out of 5, 10 out of 5 maybe, it’s an excellent piece of engineering. It took me a while to fit it correctly (at some point I was close to giving up and thought it was a waste of money).
However, once I did, it fit so well that even when loaded 12-13 kg (and my weight is about 64 kg), I didn’t feel it at all, even after many hours on the trail every day for a week. It doesn’t shift, no pressure on my back or shoulders whatsoever, no need to periodically adjust the straps (unless I put on/remove a jacket or insert full hydration bladder), nothing chafes or hurts.
Having said that. 2 stars down for hydration system. This backpack is ‘locked’ into having to use a hydration system (like all Osprey backpacks really). And this is where the issues begin. On a multi-day hike in the wilderness it’s very difficult to keep hydration bladder and, most critically, the hose, clean.
While I managed to keep bladder mould-free (lots of effort every evening), I wasn’t so lucky with the hose (with negative consequences for my stomach and the hike itself). Yes, technically that would be a review of a bladder (and I’ll add it there too), but as there is really not much option to use water bottles with this design (side pockets are too small and, even if I manage to fit a bottle into them and even if I manage to get it out, I would not be able to get it in without stopping and removing a backpack, unless there is someone else with me to help, but I hike solo).
Hence I can’t score this backpack separately from a hydration system. But if you don’t use hydration system, or can keep your hydration system hose mould-free on the multi-day hike, or don’t suffer stomach upsets from mould (or don’t mind hiking when any moment the nature might call, big time), then it’s 5 out of 5 for this backpack.
Glad to live close to an REI store where I was properly fitted for this OSREY Kyte backpack. At the store, I wore it for an hour loaded with my own dry bag filled with clothes and toiletries (~6. 5 pounds) and REI added a 5 pound cube: it was VERY comfortable! I hardly noticed I was wearing a backpack! For the last few weeks I’ve been giving it a dry run (occasional “wet” too!) with hikes on city streets, through parks, and across nature preserves.
It’s easy to access my rain gear while wearing the pack (rain pants and knee-length rain coat loaded into the small zipped compartment on top), and I can reach my larger poncho in the outer back compartment.
I have not yet used the integrated green backpack cover. All my gear for my upcoming trip on the Camino de Santiago fits! And the backpack is comfortable when fully loaded to 15-16 pounds. Great purchase, wonderful product!.
Got this pack when I became more efficient with my packing and wanted something smaller than my REI Flash 60. What I like about it: – Daisy chain on the front to clip things on. I’m always surprised by how few backpacking packs include this feature – Space! I can fit a larger size bear can (about 7 days worth of food) vertically as well as my tent and all the clothes needed for 3 szn backpacking.
– Carries the load really well (I was carrying almost 40 lbs over 3 days last weekend and did not have any trouble). – Durability of fabric. While some people might prefer a thinner fabric for the lighter weight, I love how heavy duty the fabric on this pack is.
I never worry about dropping this pack on trail or shoving it in the back of a truck bc it really is that durable – All the other added features: sleeping bag compartment, included rain fly, easy access pole storage, giant hip pockets, easy access to water What I didn’t like: – Brain does not adjust.
This is a pretty major flaw in my opinion. Sometimes you want to carry a smaller pack but having the brain be adjustable gives you more flexibility. In this case, the whole side of the brain closest to your neck is sewn/attached.
Overall opinion: if you’re going for a weekend trip this is the perfect bag. In my case, I was hoping to use this pack for a month long through hike and the non-adjustable brain just won’t cut it so I will probably return and look for a pack the same size that does have an adjustable brain.

I am minimalist in most of my adventures and I was looking for a slimmer and lighter backpack that could seamlessly replace my older bulkier trekking bag. Now of course it’s not a 1 to 1 but what I gained with this one to what was lost is where the Thule wins hands down.
Light, Slim, large enough main compartment that can easily last me a full change of clothes for a week, making traveling for a month an easy task, water repellant outer layer that doesn’t seem like its going to require a standalone cover, and a rugged finish that will last for the tougher adventures I am sure.
the only downside for me, which might not be for others is the brain, it is removable, I don’t see a reason for myself to ever remove it so my concern is the way the brain is retained to the top with 2 straps and the G hook out back (3 points retention), so far it has been a lot of manipulation to readjust the position every time I removed or added something to the pack.
Not a deal-breaker but something to keep in mind. All in all a solid choice for a simple light and rugged pack.
I needed a day pack to hike with my kids when i need to carry snacks, water and rain coats for all of us. I tried first the 25l version which i thought looked even better than 35l but was a little too small.
This one looked a bit big for my needs but turns out the size is not too overwhelming. The selling points for me were the looks (i know, i’m shallow!) – i didn’t want the typical hiking backpack with huge waist belt etc.
This bag has comfortable waist belt with pockets but it’s not thick and can actually be removed when I want the bag to look less “outdoorsy”. Also i needed easy access to the inside and this bag has a side opening that works fantastic.
I also love the pocket on the shoulder strap though unfortunately it doesnt fit my Samsung note 9. The same pocket in the 25l was bigger which is disappointing. I was worried about the “funky” opening but it actually works fine and is pretty quick to open and close.
I imagine it will also come handy if i have more stuff and need to stack an extra jacket under the flap. I hiked once in a medium rain and the bag was just fine even without the rain cover. It’s also great that the bottom is completely waterproof – i wasn’t worried about placing it on wet rocks.
The downsides are really minor for me. Besides the size of the shoulder pocket, i find it a little long, which it was shorter and wider. Even though I wish there was a stir backpack size between 25l and 35l, overall i’m very happy with my purchase.
I really like the looks and it meets all my needs when hiking.
Where do I start, I use this backpack mainly for mountain biking, i am 6’4, 230 pounds and it fits me perfectly, it’s very comfortable an it has incredible airflow on the back. The organization is perfect for its size, it is very lightweight but still feels durable.
The waist straps could be slightly bigger, however it does the trick. I personally love the colour, it’s excellent for many situations, it doesn’t stand out like a sore thumb, so I can easily walk around town with it and not look really flashy like some other backpacks on the market.
All in all I highly recommend it! It has become my most used backpack and the price is excellent. Great purchase.

I was so happy to purchase this backpack because on longer hikes, my packs tend to pull down on my shoulders and exacerbate my neck problems. The pack IS good for neck and back support, but the frame is far too stiff and substantial for me to enjoy my hike comfortably.
It’s not for me, but might be OK for someone else. PROS: Superior back and neck support Decent hip pocket size Nice color CONS: – Frame is far too stiff and ever-present during the hike, makes you feel like an astronaut – Hole for hydration tube is far too small and sewn in such a way that makes it even more difficult to thread through; I didn’t mind it when preparing for the hike (I just put the hose in first before attaching to bladder) but removing a half-full bladder after my hike when I’m tired and eager to clean my gear was awful.
Water everywhere. This is a deal breaker. – Preparing hydration bladder is, in general, too much of a production. – Zipper on front pocket is unnecessary security IMO; you want that front pocket to open and easily accessible to stuff trash or wet clothes in or grab things like wipes quickly – Top pocket too small and the frame makes it difficult to get things in and out of – I miss the tiny pocket on the shoulder strap on the Tempest; handy for small snack, GPS, or GoPro – Available space for gear is deceptively small because the exaggerated arc and stiffness of the frame squeezes the main compartment to virtually nothing.
I love, love this pack. I am day hiker with distances 2-10 miles. I have had back problems since childhood so for me to say this is the most comfortable pack I have ever worn is saying something. The adjustable torso length is an outstanding feature.
The various straps adjust to cause the majority of the weight to rest on your hips. Beside hiking, I used it as my purse, catch all and pool tote while traveling. I paired it with the 3 liter hydration bladder although I do wish I would have stuck with the 2 liter.
I agree with others that threading the tube through to the outside of the pack is tight but doable. I can attest the raincover performs except the hip pockets are not covered. I appreciate a whistle is integrated into the buckle.
One less item to carry. The design also helps keep your back cooler. If you are in the market for a pack, try this on for size. It is durable and well designed. Even though it is a bit pricey, being comfortable on your adventures so you can enjoy the experience is priceless.

Although I’ve been hiking for over 15 years, I’d never owned a daypack til I bought this one. I occasionally carried a small hydration pack, but usually ended up uncomfortable by the end of my hike as a result of having weight on my shoulders.
I’d always assumed a daypack would cause the same issues. I assumed wrong. In December, I decided it was high time I started carrying the 10 essentials (better late than never, right?), and went to REI already planning to buy a certain pack.
After trying it on, I was convinced I’d be just as uncomfortable as I’ve always been in a daypack-sized backpack, and wandered over to where the Osprey packs were. I have a Sirrus 36 that I love for short trips, and I was thrilled to see that it comes in a smaller capacity.
I loaded it up and walked around the store with it, and it’s been my bestie ever since. This pack is so comfortable that it literally makes it feel like I’m not carrying a backpack. It’s like it’s part of me, and I don’t even notice it’s on, even when stuff it full.
I loaded it up with 3 liters of water, my hiking essentials, and a few extra things just for weight, then hiked 6 miles. I felt so good at the end I was assuming I’d drank all my water and was carrying an essentially empty pack.
I was shocked when I took it off my back and found my pack still weighed about 10 lbs! The back panel design is fantastic for helping to keep your back from getting drenched with sweat, and the hip belt is substantial enough to keep the weight off my shoulders.
The pockets are great for keeping my gear organized and easy to access, and the pack bag itself is big enough for anything I could possibly need on even a long day hike. I could probably use it for a fast and light overnight trip, but it cinches down enough to not flop around when I only have water inside.
I have carried this pack on literally every hike I’ve taken since I got it, just because I love it so much. My husband got the men’s version and is just as happy with his.

I have an osprey ariel 65 and was looking to downsize to the renn and save about a pound. Renn was nice, and I was willing to cut back on all the bells and whistles that the Ariel affords. But when I loaded the Renn up with 30-35 lbs.
, it quickly became evident that the Renn wasn’t going to cut it. This pack tops out around that weight and it showed. Pack didn’t ride comfortably with that weight, shoulder straps pulled down and the hip belt, though situated well on my hips tranfserred pressure to the tops of my pelvis.
I think if you are really traveling light, under 30 pounds this pack could work well. I will keep my Ariel 65 for my bigger treks with heavier loads. The Ariel 65 is highly adjustable, supremely comfortable and will carry the heaviest loads.
I believe the Renan’s sweet spot is around 25 lbs. of gear. Anything more I would go with the beefier and better structured Ariel 65.
I was excited for this pack, but after using it for a weekend backpacking trip, I am returning it. The shoulder straps are very painful, bruised my clavicles, and made it difficult for me to take heavier breaths as I was hiking.
The waist belt bruised my hips. And the hard bottom of the frame also dug into the back of my hips. Overall, the pack was extremely uncomfortable for me. My boyfriend traded packs with me on the hike back out and he agreed that it was very uncomfortable.
The top storage compartment is not very convenient either. Some of my items kept falling out when I would stop to open the pack and get something out/put something back in. Could definitely use some more pockets, even though they had small ones on the waist/belt straps.
The mesh on the back for breathability is so-so. While I could tell that there was a little more air flow, I was still very sweaty as my shirt was still sticking to me between my skin and the mesh. Overall, I’m disappointed that this pack didn’t work out, especially since I’ve heard such great things about Osprey products.
But I’m grateful that I took it on a shorter trip to test it out first. If you decide to purchase this pack, I recommend first trying it on a shorter outing to make sure it works for you.
There are great things about the bag, however it could be so much better. First I’m 5’8″ 145 llbs, hip belt was extremely uncomfortable, and I was at the top of the height adjustment, if you are taller find another pack.
Only 2 day hike with 37llbs of gear and my shoulders and hips are wrecked. The placement of the hydro bladder make it impossible to refill on the fly; also very difficult to insert the hose. In the end I ditched using the bladder.
Nice pockets for large water bottles, but you can not remove and replace while hiking. It would have been nice if maybe there was a spot to clip water bottle to. I put on belt, but it wasn’t ideal. Side pockets on hip belt fantastic! They fit plenty.
I wanted a pack that didn’t have a lot of extra pockets which is why I liked this bag. Top hood should be adjustable, if you have it loaded and need into interior of pack you have to unload the top so you can close again, super inconvenient.
My sleeping bag is bulkier than I like, I tried to make as small as I could with compression sack and fit into interior of bag which took up half bag, but my tent with rain fly and floor fit great into bottom area where most would put sleeping bag and made packing up really fast.
I love the color, the capacity, the durability/ruggedness, the price point. Just seems it was so easy to have been so much better.
You like to shift up a gear when hiking. Lightweight and compact equipment is a must. The Mammut Lithium 20 is made mainly from recycled materials and the durable water-repellent treatment is PFC-free.
The very lightweight and breathable shoulder padding makes it feel very comfortable to carry. Airchannels in the 3D EVA foam provide good ventilation. The padded hip belt has a fold-out pocket for your smartphone.
If you dont need it, you can simply remove it. The same applies to the integrated rain cover. The backpack is compatible with hydration systems. The mesh side pockets allow access even when walking. With the Lithium 20, youre traveling in the fast lane in the mountains.
Decent daypack for hiking or day trips. The support provided by the bag is phenomenal, and the number of compartments are great for various storage needs. The slim profile also makes upper body movements unrestricted.
The only con may be that the material is much thinner than I had expected, but I guess that is necessary to reduce the weight of the bag itself. Regardless, the quality and construction are top-notched as typically expected from Mammut.
After a long day of hiking, your feet are bound to be sore. That’s why a good pair of hiking socks is a must-have for any hiker, especially if you’re hiking in wet or cold conditions. But with so many different types and brands of hiking socks on the market, it can be tough to know which ones are the best for you.
