16 Best High-End Bolt Action Rifle (2023 Updated)

Very good starter for entry level Bolt Action players. Unlike most starter army sets which give you 1000 points of units, this box set gives 1500 points. This is mainly due to the veteran status and not necessarily any additional figures.

But the addition of a Tiger tank does make this worth the buy.

The miniatures are exceptionally dated considering modern day casts. But, there’s not a huge amount of other 28mm world war 2 so… here we are.

Based on the reviews, experience and really the name, I bought this newer model expecting this basic tool to function. Toted as strongest and best mechanical. I liked not requiring electricity. Got me.

one staple at a time, never 2 in a row and reloading was required after each one. The spring attached to the piece that ejects and drives the brad nail or staple was visibily kinked and came off. Easy fix, if the spring wasn’t kinked.

Inspecting this product would have let me finish the first project I used it on. The spring never stayed on for more than 2 atempts and never more than 1 staple or nail at a time.

Best tools ever! I bought the Arrow PowerShot and the Arrow Chargeable Fastener, at the same time. They take different size staples and the PowerShot also takes brad nails. A tip I wish was provided, for the PowerShot – Be sure you turn the stapler upside down and place staples, with the points up.

I stuck them in the inside, like a normal stapler and couldn’t figure out why it wouldn’t work. It is written, but it’s black on black and I didn’t see it. A reviewer did mention and I agree, that the PowerShot shoots from an area, much more effective than a standard stapler.

You hold it, in what seems like a backward facing direction, so the pressure is applied on the end that shoots the staple. This angle of leverage prevents it from raising at the front, since that’s where you’re pressing, so you have way fewer staples that only bury half way.

Very few, in the 2 x 4s that I was shooting the tarp into. I wasn’t sure which one would work better for my tasks and hobbies, so I got both. I also have bad wrists, thumbs, hands, shoulders and back, which all make for miserable overhead or angled stapling, with a standard stapler.

With this and the PowerShot, I recovered dining chairs and hung a tarp ceiling, in my Catio, in one evening, after work. They are equally powerful. Both were able to bury their staples into 2 x 4s, but both had issues shooting some staples completely into the wood.

Both tools did this intermittently, with no obvious reason or solution, but each resolved the issue on its own. I plan to buy one more of each, because when anything makes work or hobbies, less painful, then I tend to wear it out.

These were each, less than $50, so it’s not as if it will break the bank, to keep extra.

When you purchase the correct staple refill, it will work like a breeze. Lightweight and easy to charge up. We’ve upholstered several of our old ottoman and bar height chair. The sound can be a bit loud but you can use ear plugs, for me I’m ok with the sound.

Our pets aren’t happy with the loud staple gun. So I recommend using in the garage away from your furbabies.

Comes with plenty of Infantry and a Panzer III. The 8. 8 Flak Cannon looks awesome but is a very advanced and fiddly model to put together. The panzer went together easily. The metal miniatures need a lot of filing down flash and miscasting.

I also recommend using a jeweler’s saw to remove the small lozenge tabs attached to their feet. It will look better than just plopping it down on the base.

these kits are excellent. from beginner to expert. very easy to make variants

I actually bought this after getting a few of the other Afrika Korps sets, and it filled in just about all the missing elements that I wanted for my army.

The newer Schneider Gelion 39 refill has slightly changed, and does not work with this pen. Does not fir through tip. FSP and others don’t work either. What refill should I use? Great pen, but will be useless if there is no refill.

No problems with the aluminum version of this pen, the NTP31.

A really nice pen. I love the 2 position bolt. I didn’t know it had a glass breaker in the tail but I love it. Light weight and writes smooth. Great pen.

The NTP 31 aluminum was my favorite for a long time but now the NTP 30 titanium is the best pen I’ve ever had Not too flashy and built to last

CNC-machined pen metal parts are really nice. The bolt action is unique and visually striking. The carbon fiber barrel is cool. The clip is attached with Allen-head machine screws. The whole thing is solid and handsome, in a polished, techno-industrial style.

It does not just “look that way”, it really is that way. It’s not like a Mont Blanc, it’s something truly original. Recommended if you like that techno-industrial vibe. The only negative is that the bolt action is really strong and the metal edges of the bolt channels are sharp.

Repeatedly cycling the bolt can pinch your thumb a little. Nature of the beast though, this is not a toy for children.

There isn’t much to say about this pen, because I believe it is PERFECT! I write 6 hours per day, 5 days per week and it is exactly what I was looking for, but I realize it might not be for everyone, mostly because of the weight (it feels hefty in hand).

Good materials (no staining), strong build, good clip retention, easy to change the Parker style refill. A pen that will last you a lifetime! Thank you, Bastion and Lamnia!.

This is exactly what I have been wanting. A good solid Carbon Fiber pen with a nice heft to it. Classy but not flashy. Parker Jotter refills fit perfectly, no modifications needed. Spring a bit stiff at first on the bolt action, but softened with use.

I love this pen. You will too!.

Whilst the detail on the plastic is pretty crisp with very few mould lines and flash the biggest let-down comes in the form of the instruction sheet. The photographic approach for the instructions is sometimes not clear at all as to what goes where.

Other drawbacks are the lack of a colour list for the paints to be used and no detail as to which division markings are for which division. I’ve had to download another manufacturer’s sheet in a larger scale to clarify assembly.

A good model but not one designed to draw new people into the hobby.

This is an iconic vehicle and the kit does it justice. Instructions are clear and it’s an enjoyable build. I would not want to throw it around the room and so it’s durability is a bit limited in that sense.

It’s not recommended for small brats to play with.

A nice looking model with the option to build as a StuG III G or StuH. Some issues with fitting the gun in as it needed to be trimmed before it would go in the opening in the upper hull. Otherwise, a good addition to my Bolt Action selection.

Hardest thing was to decide whether to mount it horizontally or vertically. Adjustment for fitment of my AR and reprogramming the combination were pretty straightforward – instructions were very explicit.

The only trick was to make sure you drill a full 2 inches into the wall stud to prevent stripping the mounting screws. I didn’t drill the full 2 inch length and stripped one of the mounting screws. I removed a screw that I already installed and drilled the full 2 inches and installed it sliowly this time – not letting the drill jump.

I should have replaced the stripped screw but decided to salvage it by using a flathead driver instead of a phillips and installed it into the hole I removed a screw from – again slowly with a lot of my weight onto the drill/driver.

I recommend not stripping the screw int the first place. If you strip one – don’t take a chance and just purchase a couple of new ones- these are cheap from your local hardware store. This is the only option (aside from a full size rifle safe) that secures an AR15 but have the option of storing it loaded (not recommended) and with the bolt closed with a magazine fitted.

For the way I like to store my AR (action closed, magazine fitted and chamber empty) this is perfect. The ghostedskull vinyl sticker included was a nice touch. Really love this safe. The industrial grade combination lock (no keys or batteries ever needed) works flawlessly- just fantastic not having to be concerned with keys or keeping an eye on the battery life -lest you lose access at an inopportune time.

Excellent company – they figured an affordable way to secure an AR with however way the owner wants.

Third purchase from this company and quite happy. Shotlock safe is a great gadget. It will never stop a burglar who has come with intent, but what will? It is mounted next to my front door and covered with a kimono.

It will stop walk in thieves, smash and grab burglars and children and guests.

Very good. Quality materials, reliable combination lock mechanism, very secure. Fills a badly needed niche combining secure storage with rapid access. I would definitely recommend it to anyone with an AR platform firearm.

Great intro pack for bolt action. Good range for building an army and the pieces are well cast. Just make sure to take time in building the stug as it’s a little fiddly.

Sighted in using regular nocks and shot great, really like the penetration of a heavier arrow. Switched to lighted nocks and shot a few rounds to make sure all was still good. The lighted nocks performed flawlessly in accuracy (no adjustments from regular nocks) as well as mechanically.

They turned off with ease. I was talking them up at that point. Fast forward 5 days and first shot the plastic piece on nock broke in flight so now it is useless. Read amazon reviews, this is a common problem.

Another one no longer turns on when shot, I have to mess with it for a good connection. 3rd one still works for now. My suggestion is to buy the arrows without the lighted nocks, can get a 6pk for the price of these.

Then go buy a different set of lighted nocks if you want them.

Well i goi g to be honest. These are not what they claim. I you don’t believe me weight them or even better get Cabela’s to weight some right out of the box. The advertised 442 gr with 100 gr feild points.

I have bought 6 boxes in the last 3 years and none of them weight 344 gr. Had Cabela’s in Dartmouth weight some new ones and they still weighted the same as mine. Ranging from 453 to 489 with 99. 2 to 101.

3 gr field points. I number them all and grouped the same weighted ones and then shot them all. They went all over the place. Took the 3 that grouped good and set my scope to zer them in every time i bust one i have to go get the next group an re sight in.

I have tried onther types and so far these are the worst I’ve tested.

I’ve shot these arrows and for the most part find them to be better in toughness than the 2219 aluminum arrows 400gr. In that the aluminum seem to bend very easy and these don’t bend. Usually can use the same arrow to hunt again but have not found that to be true with aluminum.

They do weigh a little more 442 gr, so you should adjust your site accordingly. They also came with the moon, more aggressive C and universal version nocks. Weights given include 100 gr field point (not included).

Not gonna find a better price anywhere. Really great models, incredible detail. Quite a huge step up from the old us infantry kit. My only minor complaint is that their is only one BAR pose but it’s not a problem it your clever about building them.

I was able to get 3 infantry squads, HQ and bazooka team out of this box.

I was looking forward to this release being a US player but left disappointed. No of factors with this sprue left wanting. Not enough garands, head choices not great. Please do some research to get the helmet straps right u keep getting them wrong.

Glasses on heads please leave off, pain to paint. And what’s with the shotgun. Yes the sculpting re the clothing is good and I like the tripod attached to the BAR (Kirby combat). Overall not Warlords best work.

this box blows the older minis away sculpts are sharp can swap out arms with airborne for some alt. poses or with marines arms for n.africa,italy,and pacific theatres

The Helios XVIII – 700 is a rival blaster in the Nerf Rival Series made by nerf. This blaster comes with the blaster, a 7 round mag and 7 balls with a bolt priming handle. It features a tac rail plus good detail.

The Nerf Rival par for fps is about 85 to 100. The Apollo is similar to the Helios but the Helios peforms much better than the Apollo which was the first of its kind. It also features 3 different colors to chise from when picking up this blaster: Red Blue and white which is from the Phantom Corps Series.

A great buy.

Was going to get myself an Apollo, when I noticed this thing had come out. Out of the box, it’s amazing. I removed locks, reinforced the plunger tube and removed air resistor(do not do this if your plunger tube isn’t reinforced with rubber at the end).

Now it shoots maybe 10 extra feet. I had added a Nerf red dot to the top, however, due to the added weight, the stylized white piece digs into your finger and hurts after long Nerf adventures. without this red dot though, it’s very well balanced and comfortable.

The most amazing thing is the priming. When you prime back, be SURE to just let it slide forward on it’s own. this helps prevent jams. It’s easier to prime then the Apollo, and shoots just as well. a definite improvement.

The stock rests up against your shoulder alright, however it slides too easily as there is no traction to it. I had some tape on Velcro, and I used the FEMALE(soft) end, and put it on there, now it’s stays comfortably put!.

Overall definitely worth every penny, i love this gun! it’s one of my favorite spring loaded blasters.

This blaster is basically the successor to the Apollo, and it is better in almost every way. It is by far the EASIEST AND MOST COMFORTABLE to prime, and you can switch the priming handle to either side for left or right handed users.

It also has good range and accuracy. THE ONE THING YOU NEED TO UNDERSTAND is that unlike almost every other blaster you do not need to push the priming handle forward. Instead it springs forward on its own which means if you try to push it forward manually it is likely to jam.

If you let it spring forward completely on its own it works fine.

Writes well, looks nice, feels good and has great fidget value. All I need in a pen. Got the timascus pocket clip to go with it and that enhances the look. Another great buy from Mukama.

Writes well, perfect size to keep in your pocket all day every day. The clip is good and holds well, whilst not being impossible to open. would 100% buy again.

Very happy with this pen, I also have the Ti Click and love it. The fidget factor is over 9000. Highly recommend this pen. Fits every refill I throw at it.

This nerf blaster will jam 1 out of every 2 times you load the magazine. The magazine fails to keep the darts in as well. The piston has to be fully to the rear to insert or remove the magazine, this is lame and confusing for kids.

The release button, while ambidextrous, is an absolute fail in its location. I have large hands and I can barely remove the magazine one handed. The magazine-well is terrible and abrupt and you have to put the magazine in with absolute precision or it will get jammed up and probably spit 2 or 3 darts out loose into the blaster.

Darts easily misfeed and will become lodged beside the “bolt” and although their is a hatch on top for clearing you simply can’t reach the jam, especially if you are a kid. Finally the most profound and dismal failure is the tapered inside of the barrel, this allows darts to become wedged beside each other and again, hopelessly jammed.

I sincerely hope the design team at nerf hear this and work a little harder testing before wasting this much plastic resin ever again.

I my 11 year-old son was very excited to try the Nerf Fortnite BASR-L. It replicates the gun from the game very well and it includes a scope that you can attach and remove from the blaster. However, the joy did not last long.

The quality of this product is bad. Inserting strokes into the charger is difficult to do, as the darts do not enter easily. Also, there were only about 12 darts included and i think that is not enough because kids will go and lose or damage them quite easily.

Bullets are also very poor quality, they all twisted and bend because it was quite difficult for my son to load the gun. You can buy some extra darts but they are quite expensive. It took quite a lot of time to assemble and there was no instructions or manual in the box.

The gun is quite heavy and long and my son was not comfortable to use it. I would not recommend it to my family and friends, my son is very disappointed with the product, he played with it only for about fifteen minutes.

Arrived as we were heading out for a boring car trip- in true parenting fashion, I took this with us as ‘bribery’ for my 8-year-old son, open it in the car, but not play with it. 2-hour car journey done with excitement- he was elated at the sheer size of the weapon.

Trust me; it is BIG. My only complaint would be it’s aiming sight; it was so off that we removed it and just used the barrel- efficient and ended with a higher specific body part to hit ratio! It’s fun to use and powerful- we don’t encourage aiming at humans/pets, but the boy cannot resist a good sibling shot when chance arises.

Would I have bought this for him? No, only because of the price, but as a gift, it would be welcomed generously! The Fortnite sticker added to it is pointless- it wasn’t on straight and easy to peel off.

A welcome addition to any Nerf war- perhaps for older children, as the clip only holds five darts, you have to be quick to reload and have patience.

The Centurion was the first Mega Nerf gun, and many of the initial reviews were negative because of limited availability of darts and occasional jamming. Today, Mega darts are easy to buy, so the Centurion has come into its own as one of the classic and must have Nerf guns for anyone with an interest in these products.

It has the most realistic feel and action of any Nerf gun, which possibly led to its early discontinuation, as all Nerf guns today have a more toy-like appearance. It needs some care loading, as the long slide action must be pulled back fully to the stop, otherwise the dart can jam (easy to clear).

But on release, it has a satisfactory ca-clunk. The power and accuracy is also superior to any current Nerf gun. I would not recommend this to kids under 8 as its a big Nerf gun. But my 12 year old loves it and is the prize of his Nerf collection.

Item arrived with no bipod, all 4 darts were damaged, the clip itself also damaged and almost sprung apart, had to use hot glue to get it to hold together, the Nerf product itself is brilliant

I love this nerf gun because of the punch it packs. The range on it even with some wind is really good. It also intimidates anyone you may be going against in a nerf war.

I picked this up as a gift and put a nice walnut blank on it. That part went fine. When I assembled the pencil though the bolt action was poor, nothing like previous bolt action pens that I had made.

The pencil tip didn’t want to easily retract and it was just clunky, not a nice smooth action. I tried adjusting it but no luck. I ultimately threw it away because I couldn’t give it as a gift in good conscience.

I’d strongly advise others to avoid this dud.

This pencil is sure to draw envious looks from fellow hunters, especially those that use a bolt action rifle. Quality seems to be very good. You have to pay attention to the assembly instructions but it is not really hard to put together.

The only thing that puzzled me during assembly was the orientation of the bolt. You have to make sure it is in the “closed” position before you screw on the tip. I bought pairs so I could sell them as a pen and pencil set.

I like the similarity to its pen twin. Assembly however is slightly different in sequence. The larger end of the spring must be inserted into the front tip piece and turned pencil body before the bolt action end piece is pressed into final position.

The mechanical pencil mechanism can then be inserted into the pencil front piece and then screw on the rose pencil tip for the final assembly. When completed the pencil does work smoothly. Weight and balance of the finished product is quite nice.

Like my other Brattonsound safes, this one is well made, secure, simple to fit, and good value. Delivery from safe. co was quick. There is a mild degree of flexing of the 2mm cabinet frame due to the weight of the door with its heavy double-locking arrangement, but obviously a 3mm frame would be prohibitively expensive-and heavy! My one complaint would be the description of this particular version as a ?5-gun? safe.

It may accommodate 5 under-lever/Martini-type rifles, but it is too narrow for more than 3 bolt-actions. With hindsight I should have chosen the 6-gun version for my 4 Lee-Enfield and Schmidt-Rubins.

I would advise careful checking of dimensions before buying.

I was a bit worried about the capacity, but it turned out okay; there are slots for guns on the sides as well as at the back of the safe. If that’s visible in the photos, I missed it. The only things wrong with the safe were 1.

the lock was a bit sticky. A little gentle filing of the keys fixed the problem. 2. there was a small scratch on the door. Cosmetic really. Otherwise, it would have been five stars all down the line.

Brilliant safe. I would recommend this to anyone in need of a secure place to keep your guns and valuable items. Very easy to install. Robust build. Plenty of space inside for your guns, and cartridges.
