I bought the super concentrate at a local Ace store here in Nashville. I had previously used the concentrate plus with very good results but opted for this super concentrate because it was going to mix more product.
Well, after mixing according to label, 2. 5 fl. oz/1gal water, I made 6 gallons of this stuff and spent no less than a couple of hours spraying everything from grass, weeds and plants. It’s been over 48 hours and there’s not a single brown and/or withering plant or blade of grass.
I spent $20 more dollars to get this super concentrate over the concentrate plus and I guarantee you I will DEFINITELY not be buying this again.
Pros It does work Cons It works Slowly I got this because I have a number of vines in my yard that have gotten so back I lost my hedges. I thought they were pretty flowers, I didn’t realize they were killing everything under them.
I tried to ben environmentally friendly. I made up a salt and dish soap mix and coated the plants. They were covered in white crystals, but it didn’t stop them. So I had to go with a chemical. This seems to be working but I will tell you BE PATIENT.
It took a week just to see some brown, then it went pretty quickly from there.
Poison Oak and Ivy Killer RTU works systemically and goes all around the plant with outcomes coming to be obvious a couple of days later. It comes to be rain quick in the wake of drying, don’t water for 24 hours in the wake of treating.
Contains Trimec three way herbicide for weed control to the roots. Rainfast upon drying. Size: 1 quarts.
This is the only product I have found that kills poison ivy, oak and sumac graveyard-dead, all the way to the root, in just a few days. Also, it is not harmful to other plants if applied carefully, so that very little gets on the other plants.
The secret is out, tooI used get this stuff in our local hardware stores abut have to buy it on eBay now because stores’ supplies are always sold out.
I bought a fixer upper house that was neglected for 15 years and the back yard was overran with poison Ivy and some oak as well. I sprayed this stuff on it and within 3 days everything was dead. I even had ivy going up a tree about 20ft up and that was dead too.
This really works!!! Sprayed it and the next day the poison ivy was starting to shrivel up! My only complaint is that there was a bit of leakage in the package. maybe put it in some plastic before shipping.

Can be used in Ortho Dial ‘N Spray Hose-End sprayer or tank-type sprayer. Rain-proof in 2 hours.
I was very disappointed in this product. I thought it would be more effective than my home made weed killer that used vinegar, Dawn detergent, and Epsom Salts. We had some poison ivy growing in a corner of our backyard and I wanted something with “industrial strength to kill it.
The Ortho Max Poison Ivy and Brush Killer Concentrate actually took longer to take effect, and required multiple applications, much more than the stuff I mix up myself. It was also more expensive. I’ll go back to the home made stuff.
Cheaper than Roundup brush/ivy killer – Ortho uses 4oz instead of 6oz per gallon for Roundup! Tough weeds like poison Ivy, blackberry may need second knockout treatment because these weeds proliferate via the roots and naturally are hard to eradicate.
Persistence pays off. I have cleared 50% of my woods of rose, blackberry, ivy, grape and more with this product. Works great on rose and grape. Do not cut back dosage on this product – 25 gallons will require 100 OZ of this product! Strict 4 oz per gallon or it will NOT work for you!.
I have used this product for two years in our lot that has a lot of kudzu-like weeds and blackberries. I use a pump sprayer as my garden hose will not reach this far. It takes about a week to see good results, but it does work.
I have used it with the hose attachment sprayer closer to my house, and that seems to be more effective than the pump sprayer, better distribution. Cheaper than the Roundup product, good results.

We had a poison ivy patch encroaching on to my property from my neighbors. I was able to use this to effectively kill all of the weeds in the area, but it left most of the finer plants such as grass alive.
I did have to treat multiple times to kill all of the undesired vegetation, but will quickly turn to this product whenever needed. I also use this to cover any fresh cuts for rapidly growing trees such as box elder, which will quickly grow back if you do not treat/remove the stumps.
It has been close to 6 weeks since I sprayed all kinds of brush small tree seedlings; grape vines; waxy leaf briars ; virginia creeper; poison oak; juniper etc. The 2″ tree seedlings are putting on new growth; the briars are not even wilted; simple grasses and weeds wilted some; virginia creeper yellowed some; looks like grape vine is dying.
I have not even tried on Kudzu yet but I know if it did not kill these others will not kill kudzu. WASTE of time and money and I went by instructions on bottle and added some to it. I want my money back!.
I have been patiently and continuously to try to use this product, but I’m at the point of giving up. It’s simply not every effective, basically, I felt like I wasted my money, time and my effort. I followed the direction for the mixture, but its too weak to kill much.
Applied after three days, the plants barely weltered. On the fourth day, it finally showed some results; then on the 5th day, rain came, all efforts were gone. The weeds are just marching on back. So I double the strength, it eventually worked, but still, didn’t last long, only for about two weeks the most.
Then I have to do this again. I think I’ll just go back to other products. The price might be higher, but at least, the application works immediately and last much longer. Its worth the money and effort.

I purchased this to kill the weeds on my acre-plus property in south Florida. We’ve used the regular Roundup previously, which worked fairly well. I thought I’d try this for longer lasting control. After spending hours spraying all the weeds with two gallons, there were no visible results, even after two weeks! There was no rain for at least a week, it was applied when it was 80 degrees and sunny, and I followed the directions.
I’m really disappointed that I wasted my time and money using this product.
The product seems to have worked well, but the pump sprayer integrated into the packaging is pretty much useless. I could never get the thing pumped up enough to actually spray well. I too heard a whistle as I tried to pump this up.
The pump itself sometimes pumped pressure into the package, and more times than not, the handle went up and down without pressurizing anything. I would buy a 1. 5 or 2gallon regular jug of this instead of this product because of the pump.

I bought this to rid an area of Poison Ivy. I followed the directions and after one application the poison ivy was almost dead. I sprayed once more and realized had I waited a few more days the second application would not have been needed.
I mix this in a 4-gallon backpack sprayer or a 15-gallon ATV sprayer and have used it on huge stands of poison ivy, mostly in hedgerows but also in stands of native grasses. It very effectively kills the visible portion of the ivy.
Root kill is slightly less effective in that some (but not much) ivy usually appears the next year in the same spots. Two or three applications may be required to kill the root system. It’s slow acting, so may require 5 or 6 weeks to kill visible portions of the ivy.
