20 Best Heaters For Small Rooms (2023 Updated)

I was looking for a small heater that would heat up areas in my home that would have cold areas but not enough to actually turn our Heat on. I had tried many, then I found this one! No need to look any further! This compact heater puts out huge heat! Way more than we expected.

Our home office is a pretty large spare bedroom with hardwood floors, so during the winters it would really get cold in there. This heater actually heats up the Entire Space! We were blown away! We loved it so much that we purchased 2 more for others areas in our home and it honestly cut our power bill by not having to run the actual Heat but could turn this on and depending on the area of the room, it will heat that space quickly.

To heat a medium bathroom, just plug it in 5-10 minutes prior & it will definitely be warm! This is portable as long as you have a plug, but take caution as to where it states you can plug it in. I purchased one and didn’t notice the tags that said, so but plug into extension cord, and i blew it up.

My fault, bc none of our others have had any issues. So just make sure to read and actually follow their guidelines. This might be small, but it’s mighty! It’s also super quiet. Obviously not silent, but i can tell you that i am on the phone all day and noone can ever hear it running.

I also love the safety feature that if it gets turned over, IT STOPS! The actual heater on the outside does not get Hot to the touch but it can get pretty warm when I run it all day long. We used these everday during the winter and they are still going strong, ready to go when the cold weather comes back around.

Excellent product! Highly recommend. I know we plan on picking up a few as gifts this season.

I like the heater, I think it produces good heat for my relatively large one bedroom. However, it says in the instruction manual that turning the dial counter-clockwise, with the red light remaining on, is supposed to set the heater to “Auto” in which, once the heater detects that the room has grown cold/fallen below a certain temperature, it will turn itself on again automatically.

And yet, I’ve had it about a week now and I haven’t really noticed this “auto turn on/turn off” feature. It almost never comes back on by itself, and if it does it’s only once the room has become more than uncomfortably cold again, like a whole hour later than I would expect it to come on.

And when it does come back on by itself it only does so for a few minutes before turning off, before the room has even gotten warm! I’m not sure if my product is defective or if it’s supposed to work like this.

I now wish it had a digital screen where I could input an actual temperature to set it to, rather than this weird clockwise/clounter-clockwise dial system. I haven’t seen any other reviews mention this.

The heat is nice, but it’s a bit tedious waking up from being cold or hot in the middle of the night, and having to get out of bed to turn the heater on. I still have the original box and am debating whether to return it.

Recent cold fronts allowed this thing to prove its worth, and it did with flying colors. But there is a small oversight that becomes annoying. GOOD -Very high heat even on the first setting. The dial helps find that perfect temperature.

-Real good airflow. -Fully heats a 10×10 room in about 20 to 30 minutes and keeps it warm. SO-SO -There’s an odd angle issue with the air. If you stand in front of it, you will feel it warm your legs, but for some reason it shoots air upward.

It helps heat the room faster but it did take me by surprise. -The kickstand is fine. Doesn’t extend very far at all. It’s stuck on the power cord, so a quick move of the wire and you’ll get the full adjustment.

-The only real negative is ‘where’ the air is going. If you’re in front of it, it heats real well. But if you stand 1 or 2 inches to the side, you get no heat at all. Be sure to point this thing where you need heat first before turning it on.

Or set it at the opposite end of the room. -The air intake gets dirty real quick. Even worse if you have pets. I would strongly suggest cleaning it at least once a week. Besides the somewhat medium price range, this little thing really does put in a lot of work.

Bought this unit on a friend’s recordation after we found out our central heat/air system was undersized and cost us a fortune in heating bills. For us it cut heating bills on average between $50- 90 per month.

We purchased a second one for the other side of our home so we wouldn’t have to move the first unit around so much. Savings remained roughly the same. This path was a lot cheaper than the $5000. 00+ price tag of upgrading an undersized central air unit 5 years ago.

The first season in electric heat bill savings pays of the unit may times over in my estimation. Regardless of where I’ve placed this unit, I’ve never had to set the thermostat setting more than 70°.

The unit shuts off no worries. A wonderful product in my experience thus far. Four seasons and some extra uses unit one is getting tired, I will replace it with another one without reservation in the next few days.

I got this heater this time 2yrs ago when the weather dropped in the 20’s. Mainly because my AC unit didn’t work and there’s a huge draft in my apt that they won’t fix. The temp had dropped to the low 60’s inside my apt.

I have no carpet to help with the warmth and have major health problems. This was definitely a life saver. At first I was disappointed with the size but found the perfect spot in my room and it’s been there ever since.

It’s not the best for larger spaces such as living rooms, family rooms and such. If you need extra warmth before getting out of the bed on chilly mornings, do what I do and turn it on about 20min before you get from under the covers.

I haven’t had any electrical problems. It was ACCIDENTLY left on an entire weekend while I wasn’t home but it didn’t over heat. I’m Def grateful for that. DISCLAIMER : DON’T DO THAT. PLEASE TURN IT OFF WHEN YOU LEAVE YOUR HOME FOR AN EXTENDED PERIOD OF TIME.

I WAS BLESSED TO NOT HAVE ANYTHING HAPPEN. Rest assured I won’t do that again. All in all I recommend but like I said for a small space not large family areas. Get the bigger one for that.

I live in a basement apartment which gets chilly in the winter. This does a nice job of bringing a 12′ x 24′ room up to 70 degrees. The motor/fan is quiet and all the features work as advertised. The remote control makes it even more convenient.

A word about fuses: A 1500 watt appliance such as this draws about 13. 5 Amps. Make sure you plug this into a 30 Amp circuit and not the older 15 Amp style or you will constantly be tripping the circuit breaker.

This was annoyingly happening as I discovered the room I wanted to heat only had a 15 Amp circuit. If you’re going to use an extension cord (and the manufacturer does not recommend this) make sure it’s a HEAVY DUTY extension cord rated for 1800 Watts or better and use it only for the heater.

Fortunately, I have a few of those that I use for power tools. I am using a 12′ 1850W extension cord hooked up to the 30 Amp outlet in the adjoining room. I am Happy, Comfy and Cozy.

Surprised at how well it heats a medium-sized room, even when the temp outside is in the low 20s. which is what happened last night. It was TOO warm. Note that it is NOT good for direct. personal heating.

That is: you do NOT want to aim the heater at yourself. The fan is strong enough that it feels cool! But aim it away from you and let it run for awhile and the room gets nice and toasty. My only real complaint: I wish the temp control was in degrees instead of unitless numbers.

Without temperature markings it (naturally) takes awhile to find the right temp setting. I’ve had great experience with Vornado product support in the past, so I feel sure they’ll honor the 5-year warranty on this unit.

Great heater – good quality and fantastic warranty. In our 3 story townhome we find a couple of the upper rooms farthest are from furnace to be too cool. This heater is great for a number of reasons.

When turning on you can also select the wattage you want it to run at (low, medium or high). You can then set the thermostat to set the temperature you want. The real benefit of this unit it is quiet and REALLY quiet / almost silent when on the lowest wattage as the fan speed is slowest when at the lowest wattage setting.

For our two rooms we usually have it set to low speed although if we walk into the room on a really cold windy day when the heater hasn’t been on, we will set it to high for 15 minutes or so to quickly bring the room to the desired temperature, then set to low to maintain it.

The opportunity to try this out couldn’t had come at a better time, it had to be fate. We bought a house this past May, and this is our first winter in a new home. This house seems nicely insulated, but the windows and doors let in a cool breeze.

Ok, I love that It has 6 Comfort Settings, 2 Whole Room, 2 Personal, Floor Only & Quiet Mode. Never seen all those options on any heat or cooling device. An actual real life sized LCD screen, bright enough you cansee what your doing on it, especially at in the pitch dark.

We usually keep our house cool in the winter and needed something to quickly warm up our bedroom and bathroom on cold days. We already had a few space heaters throughout the house but did a little research and decided on this Honeywell Heat-Genius Ceramic Space heater for the master bedroom.

We positioned the heater in our bedroom right by the bathroom door and both get heated quickly. The thermostat setting is very helpful in getting the room to the exact the temperature that we want. It has several different settings that are easy to understand and helpful to getting the right amount of heat at the temperature you want.

The Sharper Image RADIUS 5H personal heater is a nice little personal heater. It has an on off switch witch turns on the fan, and two heat settings. I mostly keep it on the higher heat setting because the lower setting seems a bit negated by the fan blowing, and it takes longer to get reasonably warm.

There is a safety switch on the bottom of this personal heater, so if it gets knocked over accidentally, it will automatically switch off. It also stays cool to the touch so I don’t have to worry about my cat getting burned when she lays near it.

I’ve been using this heater daily and I haven’t had any issues with it. My large fireplace insert heater would pull too much electricity and cause the breaker to trip if I was using kitchen my appliances.

So it’s a great alternative for me when trying to take the chill off the room when I’m using my kitchen. The fan is a bit noisy but I quickly got used to it since I always sleep with a fan running to block outside noises.

I took it to the office with me, and it did a fabulous job keeping my feet, and legs nice, and toasty under my desk. I definitely recommend this fan for drafty offices and taking the chill off smaller chilly rooms.

House was built before the Panama canal, before the Titanic sank and before the Wright Brothers flew! So it is very drafty, a heater in 4 rooms. The two Pelonis are very quite, the Patton is too loud, this one is just right.

No thermostat, no problem. Fan forced, two heat settings, so I just turn it on or off. All the others are 1500 watts max. This one is 350/750 watts and still puts out the same amount of heat at 750! It is It is a little louder that the tall ones, but it is located near the drafty back door, no problem.

If the level of sound is an issue, I could get used to it under my desk to keep my old feet from getting cold, on the low setting. AND, the price is GREAT. Small profile for anywhere, lower power draw makes it safer, no thermostat so use with that in mind.

I really love this heater for heating my little personal area where I sit the most. It is the perfect size to put in front of my feet or up on my desk while I’m working or even on my nightstand next to my bed while I’m sleeping.

It has 2 different heat settings which is nice because you can get the temperature just perfect for any little space. It has that great safety feature where it will turn off if it’s tipped over and even has a fan-only setting.

If you are looking for a compact sized heater that doesn’t take up a lot of space and can easily be relocated from space to space, this heater is perfect for you. This one is getting so much use and I plan to buy a couple more for use in our home.

Bought this thinking it had a constant hot air all around however the top spins and it only blows out hot air in a certain direction. Should have read more thoroughly so that’s on me. Tried to use it for the living room although it is too small so it was struggling to keep up although it was going an OK job if pointed directly at you.

Switched it to the restroom instead and it heats it up in no time. The remote control is easy to use although feels cheaply made. The heater itself seems to be well made and sturdy.

The Lasko 1500 Watt Full Circle Warmth Ceramic Heater with remote control was purchased at the end of January 2022 during some of the freezing temps we experienced. It was especially welcomed because our oil delivery was delayed for nearly a week.

It was an easy assembled job and we felt the circle warmth of the Lasko in a matter of minutes. It replaced the chill in the room with a comfortable warm feeling and we were delighted. Also, the remote control made it easy to adjust the temperature.

We consider it a good buy for winter weather.

Great heater. Has a 360 degrees motion that heats the room quick. Not loud at all. Very easy to use touch controls. Also comes with a small remote that is also easy to use. It’s made of cheap plastic so try not to bang it on anything when moving around the house or garage.

The first one I ordered arrived broken. A piece fell off the casing. Took it back to Best Buy, got my refund and reordered and within a few day got the new one. All is good.

I was looking for a low-wattage electric heater I could run on my portable battery while camping to warm up the inside of my van (not running the engine). With a 200w footprint, this little. no, TINY heater is pretty awesome for the job.

First of all, it’s FREAKIN TINY. Imagine a 3×5 index card blown up to a 3D rectangle tiny. OK, maybe slightly larger than that– but just look at the specs– it’s not even 6x6x6. It uses only 200 watts when running.

Let’s compare that to your average room heater– 1500 watts is a pretty common “powerful” heater wattage. I’ve got some oil heaters that split that into 600W and 900W– still 3 times as much as this tiny Lasko.

Does it put out heat? Heck yeah! But 200 watts, not 600 or 900. So what does that mean? You get a truly hot stream of air coming out of the front of this thing– I have no idea what type of air flow rate it produces, but it’s not much.

The folks who were disappointed because this heater didn’t heat up their office cubicle (with a high ceiling and no containment of heat) were not lying when they complained. If you put one of those immersion boilers meant for a cup into a swimming pool, or even a pitcher, your water WILL NOT BOIL.

Same thing here. Tiny space, tiny heat, for the win. In a not-so-tiny space. not so much win. But back to my own use– I got this to heat the interior of a Honda Odyssey, an area of perhaps 60 square feet, maybe 200 cubic feet maximum, and insulated.

For that space, this tiny heater is a champ. In just two minutes, there’s no more chill in the air, and in five, the van is warm enough that I’m ready to switch it off (this in about 40-45 degree weather).

In colder weather, obviously, it’s not going to be as fast, and will only reach a certain level of warmth overall (as other reviewers have suggested). But I didn’t expect to be able to turn this on for 5 minutes when it’s 20 degrees outside and hang out naked inside my vehicle– at some point, the level of cold outside will be too much for a tiny heater to battle, and it’ll max out the internal temperature inside around 50-55– if you really want to go that far.

To conclude— tiny heater for a tiny space, large victory. If you want to be cozy warm in a small normal sized ROOM, this is likely NOT the heater to choose (try a size or two UP). For in-vehicle heating/warming, this little Lasko is a king.

The heating in my house is very uneven. My home office stays cold while the area near the thermostat is up to temperature. My hands get so cold that I have difficulty typing. I didn’t want a big space heater because I don’t think that’s particularly safe for the environment I work in.

I have young kids, and I always have lots of books laying around my office. This little heater is exactly what I need. It’s exactly the right temperature to keep me comfortable as I work. It isn’t nearly hot enough to melt anything on my desk or start fires.

I’m keeping it right behind my keyboard. Actually, because of the angle of the fan, the keyboard doesn’t even get warm at all. It’s absolutely perfect.

Remember! This item is just a space heater, considering that and being aware of the size of this little heater, I should say I am very happy with my purchase. So far do good. For it’s size is pretty sturdy! It only sounds as loud as a tiny fan! Well there’s a fan in there, right? And no smell! it breaks the ice of my really cold (pretty big) bedroom and make it ready for bedtime! I did not want to warm the whole house for only get my bedroom warm! Also I was thinking of using it in a camping tent, need to figure out how to find an outlet, unless for RV Park tenting.

I received my “Handy Heater Pure Warmth” Ceramic heater, and it came right on time. This little heater warmed up my living area to a very comfortable temperature. My space is over 900 sq. ft. The temperatures were in the 20’s for a couple of days, but I couldn’t tell.

I have an older “Handy Heater Pure Warmth” that is a ceramic heater and will bring that out when the temperatures stay at 20 degrees and under. The other one I have had over 5 yrs and still heating as it did when bought brand new.

I trust this heater to last, and I do love the new lighted top (my choice of color). The older had to put where no one could trip over it at night. This new “Handy Heater Pure Warmth” heater I do not have to worry about tripping over it and the light is bright enough to light the hall way in the dark.

I have no complaints with this heater.

I was chosen to receive this product in an exchange for an honest review! This product works great for its size, it may be small but man can it put out some heat! I love that it has a setting for high, medium and low so that you can adjust to your liking! The other neat thing about this product it the multiple color options you can choose from.

As a mom I always want to keep my kids safe and the fact that this heater shuts off if it is not on a flat surface or gets knocked over is a win in my book. As of now this is in my kids room and they absolutely love the interchangeable led colors on the heater and this keeps them warm in their room due to a large window in their small room.

I pretty impressed with this heater. It’s small and portable but very strong! It has 3 settings on it and a nightlight on the top. On the high setting, it was able to heat up my master bedroom pretty quickly.

It gets very hot! It does a great job in a quick amount of time. I love that it has an auto off saftlety feature. Even if you move the heater just slightly, it shuts off completely. It’s a great feature to have with small children around.

It also does not burn your fingers when you have to pick it up and move it after it’s been on for awhile. I definitely recommend it!.

I have 3 of these heaters — bedroom, library and home office. Takes the chill off the room without having to heat up the whole house with central heat. Heats quickly and best of all reasonably QUIETLY.

Best features: (*) 2 heats and a fan setting for circulating air on hot, stifling days when I don’t want to use the central air conditioning. (*) Adjustable thermostat keeps the rooms at an even temperature so the heater doesn’t have to run all the time.

(*) Tip Over Switch if the heater falls over. (*) VERY well made. Prior purchase of the bedroom heater lasted 15 years. A real workhorse ! I’ve seen this heater rated highly on several lists of recommended portable heaters.

I highly recommend this heater.

I have over 6 or so of these over the years and have been generally happy with these. But over the last few years of buying these, they have become unreliable. The temperature senser is inaccurate, making room either too hot or too cold.

Always have to readjust this thing very frustrating especially at night. Keep all rooms warm no matter the size except for the bathroom which is small to medium in size. Puts out rated heat, used a watt meter to test.

The thermostat sensor is a deal breaker. Spend a little more money on a better unit and avoid this due to the unreliable temperature sensor.

I got this for my office, which has no windows to let in warmth from the sun, and is always freezing. Imagine wearing layers of sweaters, corduroys, and a fuzzy blanket in the summer in Atlanta. Anyway, my old space heater was starting to give off a burning smell, and wasn’t really warming the room quickly.

I found this Lasko unit while searching online for a replacement that was also quieter, since it’s for work. This little guy pumps out so much heat on the lowest setting, and warms my office quickly.

It’s not super-quiet, but not as loud as the old one. I’m amazed at the heat output for such a small unit. I keep it next to my chair on the floor, so it blows near my ankles, and it’s actually too hot sometimes.

Love it, very happy with the purchase. It’s only been a few weeks, so I can’t speak to its longevity, but it works great. Too bad it’s not more stylish, considering all the options out there, but I’ll take substance over style any day.

If they made it in fun colors though, I’d like it even more.

Unfortunately, it should have a bulky design because with all the safety restrictions listed in the manual, I literally could not find a spot in the house to park this cutey at!!! And there is no way we’re going to rearrange a bunch of furnitures to make space for it.

Therefore, we tested this heater violation some of the “do not” rules. In particular, this heater has been tested using. An extension cord. *tsk tsk tsk*. on a plastic food serving tray. *shakes head*.

with plastic table cloth underneath. *shame on us!*. on wooden table. *gasp!*. with items less than 3ft away. *faints!*. set at a low temperature range in the thermostat setting. *Whew!* In case the stock images for the product aren’t clear, the heater emits heat from the front only.

The back is for taking air in (fan) while the sides are completely blocked off with the casing. The casing actually looks and feels cheap, but surprisingly they stayed cool during use. On the underside of the heater, there is a safety trip that will trigger when the heater gets knocked over (or tilted enough).

On the top are two dials: a thermostat setting and mode control. The thermostat is simply a range from low to high heat. We only tested in the low range because our house’s heating is on and it is no longer freezing outside.

At the lowest setting, it automatically stopped after several minutes because it had reached the desired temperature and shifted to maintaining it. (I had no intention of turning the room into a desert, so we did not test any higher on the thermostat.

) Instruction manual will tell you to set it at the highest setting THEN turn the knob until you hear a click when the room is to your liking. (Yeah, I don’t have the patience for that. ) There are four on modes: fan-only, low, high, and eco.

The fan-only mode is self-explanatory and useless. Felt way too weak to be of any use (other than cooling the unit down) but still loud enough to be. loud. (If the room is super noisy, then it’s not loud.

) Low, high, and eco mode all sounded and felt the same to me. I honestly could not tell the difference between the three modes. Maybe it’s more noticeable at a higher temperature setting? *shrugs* In all the heating modes, the frontal range is at least 5ft.

I felt the warm air around that distance (couldn’t move back any further cause of obstacles blocking my path) but weakened. (In fan-only mode, I only felt the blast of air right in front of the machine.

) While I love the idea of having this little heater for the super cold days of winter when certain rooms are freezing, the numerous restrictions in the name of safety is a major turn-off for us. I rather use an electric blanket (which, by the way, has a waaaaay longer cord than this heater has) to keep warm that rearrange the entire house.

(But hey, if there’s like. zero furnishings in your intended room, this is for you!).

This is a great little heater. I work from home and was hoping for something that would heat up my home office efficiently, and this heater has been great. It has the auto shut off feature for if it gets tipped over, which is helpful because my cat sometimes zooms around the room when she’s playing and if I’m working and don’t notice right away she’s knocked it over, I want it to turn itself off.

It heats up the 147sqft office quickly. There is an adjustable thermostat and you can tell a difference in the temp coming from the heater when you adjust that. There is a fan only setting and 3 speed settings, including an energy save mode.

It’s very lightweight, has a thin built-in “handle” on the back, and the body has not gotten hot to the touch at all since I’ve been using it. The only drawback is how loud it is. This wasn’t a problem in the office while I was working, but I did feel like it was too loud to have on if I moved it out to the living room while we were watching a movie or something.

The noise level is almost the exact same at all the power levels, too. Overall, would recommend.

I have been using this little heater in our bathroom, which always feels colder than the rest of the house. It REALLY can heat up a smaller room! I’ve been using it on max power and the energy saving mode setting.

The heater is small, but powerful. It sits nicely with no wobbling at all. The cord is heavy duty and very long. I love that it has tip over safety feature built in. That gives me peace of mind. This is a well made heater that gives off great heat and is perfect for smaller rooms like bathrooms or offices.

I’ve had mine for a few days now and I’m very happy with it. It heats my room extremely well, is silent and radiant heat is nicer than the fan-based heater I had previously. The T1/T2 timer seemed complicated when reading, but made a lot of sense when I started programming it.

Hard to explain, wasn’t so hard to use though. My only regret is that the T1/T2 timers don’t support weekend/weekday operation. My usage is for a home office that I would love to put into “T2” operation during the weekend and “T1/T2” during the week.

Not a big deal though as I just use a manually-set temp over the weekend.

I researched heaters to the point of nausea and I finally decided to spend the extra money on this unit. I was very disappointed and felt like something was wrong because they had hardly any heat output.

The controls are very nice with the timer option but I can’t believe the law heat out but it had so I can only conclude that either I had a malfunctioning unit or it’s just doesn’t produce. It is made like a tank and looks fantastic.

I just don’t believe the heat output is anywhere near with the old ones used to be.

I’m impressed with the quality of this full room radiant heater by De’Longhi. Right out of the box, this heater impresses with its stylish and minimal design. It fits in perfectly with our living room decor.

I really love that this has a rust resistant design and digital controls. It’s extremely easy to set up and use. You can even program this with two separate temperatures for day and night. It’s easy to set the temperature, as all you have to do is turn the dial on the panel.

The only downfall of this is that we have to instruct our kids they aren’t allowed to play with the dial, as it is so easy to turn and use. I do like that this doesn’t get too hot to the touch, so that it is pet and kid friendly.

Even so, we strictly instruct our kids to stay away from it but appreciate that it is fairly safe. We have a rancher style home and find that this will evenly heat half of the top floor (living room, foyer, dining room, and kitchen).

This is a quiet and efficient heater that will keep your whole room warm and more.

I love this little fan. It heats up rapidly. My only complaint is I have user error issues – I can’t figure out how to set the time I want it to stop at. But is does everything I want it to.

I bought this heater a couple months ago and it hasn’t broken down since. It’s perfect and has kept me warm when there was no heat in my office building. Now all my co-workers want the same one. It does have a little bit of noise, but I can’t complain much about that.

It is without a doubt incredible and not a let down at all from Office Depot. Super stoked, may have to get myself a personal one someday; I’m actually honestly impressed. I also love the rotating feature.

Not gonna lie, I was skeptical at first, but legit, this isn’t a disspointment. Great price too!.

Love these ceramic type heaters though. This unit turns off automatically if knocked over for safety, and it runs like a champ, even though I’ve knocked them both over a few times. I turn them off to be on the safe side when I leave the house, but sometimes I leave it on overnight, and I don’t feel I have to worry about it.

I just put it on the lower setting.

Absolutely love this heater. Works so good. Love that it has a timer and that it also rotates. It keeps our living room warm during the winter when the heat doesn’t keep the living room the same temperature as the rest of the house.

I received this as a birthday gift so it’s not a verified purchase, but I know the purchaser ordered it directly from Vornado. There really is no competition to this heater that I know of available today.

Even most of the all-metal heaters you find are lightweight and have cheap-feeling controls. Not this one. It’s solid and the controls feel heavy duty. The low (750 watt) setting is nearly silent and it’s perfect for directing a stream of heat toward one person or two people sitting close to each other, or when you only need you warm the room up a little.

The high (1500 watt) setting uses a higher fan speed so it sends heated air all around the room for fast heating. The orange power indicator light on the base is useful because it reminds you that the heater is turned on, which would be easy to forget if it’s on the low speed or if the thermostat had shut it off because the room reached the required temperature.

This isn’t the cheapest heater you’ll find but you get what you pay for. This one feels like it’ll last for many years.

I use this unit to heat a 12×16 (8ft ceiling) bedroom and it does the job well. I set the thermostat to “4”, which in my application= @72° and it turns itself off at that temp. In this size room it does NOT run all the time; comes on and off a couple times an hour to maintain 72° during a Maryland winter (20-30’s at night).

NOTE: it is not a whole house or large living room heater. Use it in the right situation, a small to medium sized, contained room and you won’t be disappointed. Thinking about purchasing a second unit.

First. I cannot believe someone gave a 1 star review because THEY did not correctly read the product description. That is a 1 star for them, not the product. This space heater is made so well. The all metal housing is what I would expect with a retro styled unit.

Our home has many original features from 1890 and most of our furniture is from the 40’s-50’s or inspired by those decades. I was thrilled to find this heater and ended up buying another one for another room.

Very quiet and the low setting has been sufficient to warm a 15′ x 15′ room, which previously was very cold.

I own an Aliner Ranger, a small, hard sided A frame camper. Although it came with a propane furnace, the furnace is Loud and heats until the camper is an oven, then shuts off until it is frigid cold, them restarts to repeat the process! We tried a small ceramic forced air heater, which was slightly less noisy, but still hot, cold, hot, cold cycle was just as extreme.

I had considered an oil filled heater, but all the other models I saw were way too large for the campers interior space. This little guy is just the right size to sit on the counter in front of the ac and because of its lower surface temp, I can still use the remainder of the counter.

Temperature dipped into the mid 30s last night, but the camper stayed at 70. Setting the temperature is a little tricky, you let it warm the area just a little warmer than you want, then turn the temperature control dial counter clockwise until it clicks to stop the oil heating.

When it cools slightly, the thermostat will click again heating the oil again until the set point is reached and the cycle repeats. The clicks are quiet and the fluctuation in room temperature is almost unnoticeable.

This is a small heater and will take some time to warm your space so give yourself time to fiddle with it before you go to sleep!.

So I did just receive this a day ago, and being this time of year shipment was a bit on the slow side, but not a surprise, of course and I was able to track it easily. So, the setup of the “legs” was amazingly frustrating, which is what brings my rating down to 4 stars.

The graphic of “how to” are drawings about the size of a pea and even with a magnifying lit reader, I could n’t see it. I went online to the Costway site and they have a lovely video, but no video of showing any kind of detail of placing the legs on this thing! For some reason, it was just not clear seeing the video after the legs were mounted! A friend came over and instantly placed them! Uh???.

though I did show her what I had tried. It is not at all intuitive “how to” put them on and exactly what slides into what! So, that aside, it heats wonderfully and fast and I have no doubt it will be perfect in my small room to add a toastier warmth.

An additional comment is that the first FEW hours (I would say more than 2) of operation the odor emitted from this radiator is quite toxic smelling – enough that it gave me a headache, so just be sure you are able to operate it for a bit in an area away from the room you will be in.

It is a pretty powerful smell.

I bought for an RV to assist in avoiding overuse of propane for heat. It’s located in the bedroom space and keeps it TOASTY. I would give 5 stars except I wish the thermostat was visible from the front (while in bed and needing to adjust to a desired temp).

The thermostat is on top of the unit. The remote is great but without the visible thermostat, it’s guesswork. The unit does cut off when desired temp is reached and will auto come back on when needed.

I’ve purchased an infrared wall heater for the RV living space to save space but haven’t had a chance to install and using a generic ceramic heater there that doesn’t compare to the Lasko. If the infrared heater fails to meet needs, I’ll purchase a 2nd Lasko Designer Series.

The Lasko Designer appearance is also a more desired PLUS. Additionally, the Lasko helps keep the living space heated during the day just from the overflow. I keep the propane thermostat on as a backup and it rarely kicks on.

Even in 27/28 °C outdoor temps. RV is 35ft 5th wheel. Very happy with this purchase !.

I’ve owned this little heater for several years. It has been a very dependable heater for me. I use it in my bedroom as I’m always a bit chillier than my daughter. I put it on at bedtime, and drift away soundly!! It isn’t overly loud either.

I love the oscillation & timer functions. Only con for me is it’s appearance. While on a pretty stand, the color is really rather atrocious. It’s like a pea soup greenish color. Not a fan. No pun intended lol So it’s hidden in the corner of my room on a night stand.

I would really love if it came in a different color!! Grey, black, white. anything but the color it is!! I wouldn’t give this as a gift either because it’s just too ugly.

I love my heater, it doesn’t stick out like a regular one and blends into the decor. It’s so easy to operate on the heater or with the remote. Only down side is that the remote has to be pointed down at the bottom of the heater and although it does osculate it doesn’t have just a option for fan.

It really puts out the heat and warms my house in no time. I use it in the bathroom and my living room which is about medium sized. It’s about knee height, has timer and high or low setting as well as it goes from 68° to max which is 90°on high or low settings.

This heater has been quite impressive. The black modern, sleek design looks great in any room and goes well with any type of decor. It doesn’t take up much space, is sturdy, and is easy to move around (it has a nice handle on the back).

I really love the safety features, especially the auto shut off and the cool touch, this gives me some peace of mind when using this heater around my daughter. The heater puts out great heat. It provides just the right amount of warmth for heating a room, without heating the entire house, which will save us money in the long run.

It is also very quiet compared to similar heaters we’ve used in the past. There are two heat settings and you can adjust the thermostat to your desired temp. Overall, I am very pleased with this product and would highly recommend!.

Honeywell ThermaWave 6 Ceramic Personal Heater is one of the best heaters I’ve own and love that I can place it in any room that is in need of heat!! I have been impressed with this type of heater design for decades, and Honeywell’s version is an excellent one.

It circulates the air in the room amazingly well, and while it may seem too quiet to be effective, in fact it’s the best space heater I’ve ever used. It uses convection to bring the cold air near the floor through the heater and circulates the warm air.

This personal heater may be light and little but it’s made well and sturdy and it WORKS very well and heats whatever room I move it into that needs heat!! This personal heater has meet my needs and I’m amazed with it and will highly recommend it and buy more if needed!.

Small and compact, like that a lot. Just moved from an apt with carpet to one with a nice, but cool, wood laminate floor. Already, though its not “cold” outside yet, but cool, this little heater has made the floors comfortable.

I hate shoes at home, so my socks are it. Im comfortable. Im also confident that this heater will do the job with the wall unit blowing heat up, this guy will keep my feet warm. At night, itll be a extra helper in the bedroom where the heat is not as great.

I always try and read some reviews when trying to decide on an item that has several different choices. I always start with the lowest ratings and work my way up. This little heater had all positive ratings, so how could I go wrong.

I was surprised at it’s tiny size, considering all the reviews raved about the amount of heat it provided. I got it home and turned it on. Now I realize this isn’t going to heat a whole house, but I was hoping it would at least provide my toes a little toasty warmth.

It has settings for the warmth of the air and the amount of air. So I tried it on the lowest setting with the maximum temperature. Over the course of the morning I had maxed out both settings and it felt the same as when I started.

Don’t get me wrong the air was warm, and it was blowing but it wasn’t any warmer than the air coming out of my furnace vents already. So I tried it a few days later, it ran for a bit it and just died.

I could never get it to come back on. It did have a nice safety feature, it would stop if it was knocked over or picked up. So I wouldn’t recommend this little guy unless it is to warm a barbie dream house.

This is the second winter I’ve been using this space heater, so I figured it was time to write a review. The heating system at my place sucks and if it’s lower than 20 degrees for more than a day, the heat pump won’t work.

We have a backup heat system downstairs, but the bedroom upstairs gets chilly, so I got this to help. My intention was to use this to just keep the area around my bed and where my cat sleeps warm. I only ever use the lowest setting because I hate the feeling of hot air blowing on me.

Surprisingly, this actually warms up my entire bedroom, which is relatively large. Typically, I turn it on in the morning when I get up (or if I wake up before my alarm, I’ll turn it on and go back to sleep for a while) and leave it on while I get ready for work and then turn it off.

Then when I get home from work, I turn it on for about two hours or so. Sometimes I’ll turn it back on for another or so later on at some point, but otherwise, I leave it alone until I go to bed and turn the timer on for 2-3 hours.

I’m amazed at how powerful this is, even on the lowest setting, and how well it works and keeps me comfortable. And my cat loves it 🙂 She has several sleeping spots around the room, but of course one of them is right next to the heater lol.

As for the specific features of the heater – As others have mentioned, turning it on/off or pressing any other buttons does emit a loud beep. This doesn’t bother me, but it may bother others. I appreciate that it has a tipover switch and shuts off automatically if the heater becomes unbalanced or is knocked over.

My cat has only knocked it over once, but it automatically shut off right away, which makes me rest easy when I use it while sleeping. The unit also stays cool to the touch, even after I’ve been using it for a couple of hours.

When you turn it off, it also takes about 3 seconds or so for it to actually turn off. I assume this is some sort of safety feature, but I’m not sure what exactly. I highly recommend this space heater.

I’ve used other space heaters in the past and this one has surpassed them all. It’s a great price and I anticipate this lasting for another couple of winters at least.

The unit puts out a great amount of heat quickly. Unfortunately, it’s negatives outweigh the positives and I’ll be returning it. I wanted a digital unit for under my desk so I can easily hit the on/off button with my foot.

However, every time I turn it on, I have to reselect oscillating and turn the fan to low. That defeats the purpose of wanting a digitally controlled unit for me. Additionally, unlike the other Honeywell I have downstairs, this unit only operates on high heat.

The high/low selector is only for the fan speed. My unit downstairs has a high/low selector that controls how much electricity it uses for the heating element. For others who may not care about those negatives, I will add that I did not have any weird smells and was very happy with how quickly it heated the area under my desk.

Small, but powerful. I believe the low reviews are because of the users lack of knowledge. There are two safety switches. One on the bottom that is compressed when the unit it on the flat service and one on the back that detects objects.

You need to make sure the unit is on a flat surface and make sure nothing is near the unit to trigger the rear sensor. Also, the heater draws 2. 5 amps so if you have a weak socket or a socket with other items it could throw the breaker or cause other issues.

Read the instructions. It has a 3 year warranty. Ceramic heaters produce heat the fastest out of the other types.
