20 Best Heated Vests For Hunting (2023 Updated)

My husband got this for me for Christmas because I’ve been constantly cold when we are attending our outside activities – after my double mastectomy & reconstruction I can never keep warm…. Until now! We went to a Penn State football game several weeks ago ( he gave me my present early) and while it was so really cold and windy, I remained nice & comfortable.

So thankful for my hubby and for this great invention – we’re getting a second battery for the ability to enjoy outside activities longer!.

I bought 3 of these vests as per the size chart and 2 of the 3 were too small. I used the return for exchange sheet and paid to return the 2 vests to be exchanged. I have been notified by the shipper that the package was delivered, however, I have not heard a word from Bass Pro.

It has been 3 weeks now, no communications from you and no vests. What is going on? The items have been paid for and all I asked was for the vests to be exchanged for the next size. Please acknowledge and update me on the status of the exchange.

So far the vests are great. We haven’t really been able to use them fully yet. But we were able to use the battery packs when the power went out in our house to charge phones. So I am grateful for that.

Just another way to utilize the things we have!.

I have a thin vest that my husband bought me years ago and I love it but it only has 2 areas that heat up. Quite a few people at my gym have this vest in the thin version so I thought I’d try out the Down.

While I have only used it once, it was very effective in keeping my upper body warm in a cold and humid environment. Would recommend

Worked well sitting in a deer blind for 3 hrs. In 30? turned on after a hr. On medium took the chill off for 2hrs before battery ran out. Perfect timing. Would recommend a second battery if staying out longer or if temperature is colder.

Bought this for an elderly friend with bad blood circulation and Ranauds disease and is very comfortable and provides excellent warmth for body. Easy to put on and heats up quickly, battery usage depends on heating levels and recharges quickly.

I bought this vest hoping to not only stay warm but to be able to wear it under something like a sweatshirt and not have it be noticed or bulky. I coach high school football in Minnesota, and Friday nights in late Fall tend to be a little chilly.

I’m looking forward to being able to wear the vest liner next year on the sidelines. So far, just wearing it around outside while walking my dogs. it lived up to my expectations wonderfully.

It’s been well cared for and appears to be in excellent condition BUT is completely useless. It was a gift from, Home Depot (bought in Montreal) but nobody has a bill of sale anymore. Store staff tried to be helpful but couldn’t actually solve problem and have yet to follow up with a promised call.

Milwaukee support has yet to reply. What should I do? PLEASE advise!.

The battery and heat work well and last a long time. My issues are with the batter placement and the fit and flexibility of the vest. I wear it to work outdoors in -25 in the Yukon, so I wear it under a bunch of other layers.

The fabric is too thick and stiff, I think they meant it to be worn as an out layer, and the collar is the same so it’s stiff and uncomfortable when I have jackets overtop. I really wish Milwaukee would make a mid-layer version that’s not so thick and maybe has some 4-way stretch.

My other issue with the fit would be solved with stretchy material. It needs to be close to your body in order to feel the heat, but standard sizing and non-flexible fabric make sure that there are gaps between your body and the vest.

Make it thinner and stretchy! I also a woman wearing the men’s vest because the placement of the battery on the women’s vest is unbearable, the men’s one isn’t great either. I’d prefer if it was in the front pocket where there is usually extra space and a natural bending point for your body.

I’m looking at the Feildsheer vests to replace my Milwaukee one for these reasons.

I purchased this vest with the intent of using it while hunting. I already have the camo heated jacket but I was tied to that one jacket. regardless of weather conditions. The jacket was OK but unless you were leaning back against something, you didn’t hardly feel the heat.

This vest fits tighter on your torso so you can immediately feel the heat. Now, I can wear any jacket over the top of this or wear it alone over a shirt. It has worked great for deer hunting regardless of weather.

Now, I wear it over a shirt while playing golf and it keeps me warm without hindering my golf swing. Now, I can play golf in much cooler weather. You want to have an extra battery if you are going to be outdoors for hours.

I purchased some 3 hour batteries and an extra charger so I can have it at the ready all the time. The location of the battery pocket does not bother me when moving or sitting. I also used it racking leaves and mowing.

I wear extra large in shirts and bought this in extra large. It fits snug enough to feel the heat but not too snug. It’s perfect, I love it!.

I absolutely love this product. It has been the missing link I’ve needed to dress lighter and still stay warm. There is ONE NEGATIVE. And it is a Major Negative! They need an Extension Cord for the batteries.

You need to be able to swap out your batteries without having to dig down to your base layers to do that. That way it would be MUCH easier to maintain the heat level you want with minimal effort and movement.

I dread having to change the batteries b/c of having to undo everything Just to get to them. With an extension cord this product would be Perfect.

Used for bow hunting. Works great. It’s a very comfortable snug fit over my base layer. You forget you even have it on. I don’t like bulky layers for bow hunting, and this is an awesome way to eliminate those layers or a bulky warm jacket.

I wore a base layer, then the vest, then a fleece, then my jacket which is pretty light. Have only tried it in temps around 38 degrees, but on low setting I was comfortably warm. I turned it on about one hour after sitting in the stand after I started to get chilled; it kept me warm and on low battery was still good after 3 hours.

This vest is amazing. Having the ability to keep my core warm has made it possible to stay in stand on almost any day of the whitetail season for any length of time. The thin construction and compression style fit makes it even more functional.

The heat is literally pressed into your torso and the light weight allows you to still dress with all of your favorite insulating layers. I tried this two seasons ago the immediately bought one for my wife and son.

Once my hunting buddies saw it, they all purchased one leading to five more being in the field. One of those guys then bought each of his four sons a vest. We all love them and now there’s a few pants and hand muffs in the arsenal for some.

Measure carefully! The more closely this sits to your body the better the heat transfer is. So a slightly snug fit is good. I am 6’3″ 200lbs and the S/M fits snug with my little bit of a ‘dad bod’. Perfect on top of a base layer before adding an outer jacket.

It’s so nice to add / adjust heat with the press of a button! I find keeping my core warm does just as good a job at keeping my hands warm as heated gloves do. This won’t save your life in extreme cold, but it is a nice creature comfort.

You’ll want more batteries if you’re using it for more than an hour at a time on high heat.

I am happy with this product. I wear it just in case the cold is more than I anticipated, which means I haven’t needed it so far this season. I did use it on 2 days when it was in the 20’s and it was wonderful.

There are 2 points that you should know about the vest. The picture depicting the size of the heating element is grossly exaggerated. It may be 1/3 the size in reality. The vest is a liner so it should hold close to the body but I have a 47″ chest and this is snug.

It is supposed to fit up to 50″ chest. Overall, I am very happy.

After reading reviews, I ordered the 2XL-3XL size, though I am borderline between L and XL on all other shirts and jackets. It fits just right for my main purpose for purchasing – staying warm on the golf course without having restriction of movement.

The battery lasted for a three and a half hour round of golf (at low setting), and the vest is extremely lightweight.

I received the women’s heated vest last week (after exchanging for a large as it runs smaller in size) and it’s been just the thing I need to keep me comfortable while I’m working at my desk. I know it sounds crazy but when you sit for long periods of time, some of us can’t keep warm.

There are four heat settings and they light up on the push button at the bottom of the vest. I downloaded the app but it’s finicky and does not want to pair with my Bluetooth. When it does, it’s a cool app.

The vest is very attractive and thin enough to wear under a coat. It has down filling and is hand washable. I highly recommend this product. Just be sure to order a size up.

This was a birthday gift for my husband. He has used it for shoveling, snow blowing, snowmobiling and even at his office! It’s warm even without the heat turned on. He likes that the pockets get warm too and the heat part is pretty much all over the vest except the sides and lower back.

The power pack has a super bright flashlight too! It fits true to size which was a concern because he is 6’7“ 285lb and usually needs a 2XL tall. I got him the 2XL and it fits just right (snug enough to wear under something else, but not “uncomfortably snug“).

I plan to get one for my dad!!.

I took delivery of the vest yesterday. I charged the battery as per the instructions and then inserted the battery into the vest. The button in the vest didn’t turn the battery on. If I turned the battery on at the battery I got 4 green LED lights.

The instruction book told me to expect red. The jacket button was able to turn the pack off but only worked sporadically. I was unable to change the heat rating of the jacket either at the battery itself or using the button on the vest.

I sized up the jacket itself. It does run small. The jacket looks well made. It is just a pity that it doesn’t work. I was looking forward to wearing it.

I’ve owned several Venture Heat products (vests, jackets, etc) and needed a new size vest after losing weight. I purchased the “original” Roam puffer vest (I think it’s called V1) in Berry from the outlet section of the website, and absolutely loved it.

Although it wasn’t the version with a heated neck, I loved that the inside was a flocked/ light fleece material, and there was a large inside chest pocket for my phone. They didn’t have the Roam V1 in black, so I got this vest (Roam V2) after being assured it was exactly the same by customer service.

It is not. It’s very similar, but the inside of this vest is a slick nylon material (not cozy fleece like v1) and they got rid of all of the inside pockets other than the one for the battery, so now I don’t have an inside pocket for my phone.

Finally, they added a black nylon “cuff” material to the arm holes that is slightly darker than the vest (you can see it in the photo when you look closely) that doesn’t look very fashionable. I love Venture Heat’s vests and customer service, and all of their products I own have stood the test of time.

but this vest misses the mark for me because it feels like a downgrade from the v1. I do like the heated neck, but the slick interior and lack of interior pockets really cheapens the feel of the vest in comparison to the previous version.

I’m keeping it because it’s the only option (I’ve tried vests from competitors Vestuvas and Ororo and Venture Heat is the best and warmest heat by FAR) but I’m really hoping for a Roam V3 that adds back the fleece lining and interior pockets while keeping the neck heat!.

I did not a lot of research before landing on Venture Heat. There are so many options out there it can be overwhelming! I really rate this as 4. 5 stars. Let’s start with the pros of this vest. It fits me really well (5’7″ 115-120 lbs size XS).

Like the 2 zippered hand pockets and the internal stuff pocket. Like the zipper garage at the neck so the zipper does not chafe your neck. Like the battery can be also used to charge your phone in a pinch (but then it would take away battery life of the vest).

The neck warming feature is my by far my favorite feature. The cons: the zippered hand pockets are at a weird spot (like they are too close to the center of the vest and need to be moved outwards laterally a bit).

But that is totally nit picking. For me the bigest con is I thought I would feel radiating heat with this vest on. I don’t (except on my neck and that is probably because my neck is not covered up with layers of clothes).

But that being said, even though I don’t feel like I am enveloped in warmth, I am NOT COLD when out walking the dog, running errands etc. And that is HUGE because I am always cold. So while I wish it could heat up to be a warmer temperature, it has proved sufficient for me.

I am glad I got this vest and wish I would have known about these products years ago. For what it is worth my hubby is jealous of my vest and likely will be purchasing on in the near future. Bottom line, really good vest! Get it!.

Got this for golf. I’m 5’10” 200lbs. bought XL because I didn’t want any restriction for golf. If I wasn’t using for golf I think a Large would be better. XL is a little long and a bit loose for my build with 44″ chest.

Just about anything without the upper body rotation of golf Large would have been better choice. Happy with it though. So far only needed it for the 1st hour or so in the mornings. Upper back is where I feel the heat, From below armpits and up.

So far only used well less than half the battery capacity. Charges slow. Seems like 2-4x longer to charge than discharge during use. Probably need a 2nd battery for all day extended use. Little inside pocket for battery is great since I like to stick my hands in outside pockets between golf shots.

I do put a disposable heat pack in one or both pockets since cold hands and golf don’t mix. Update: I used a thermal IR gun to verify heat element placements. The illustrations in the listing are accurate.

I received this vest as a gift. Large size. Pros:lightweight. Works well. Provides excellent heat for 8 hours (I haven’t tried it for longer period) it’s an attractive vest. Cons: this item runs LARGE.

If worn over many layers, I think it would still be large. I’m 6’, 200 lbs, and this large size worn over tshirt plus long sleeved shirt,…it’s enormous! Length is good, but volume would be right for 240lbs.

Directions: when they talk about “power button†understand that there is a “power button†on the battery and a “power button†on the vest itself (front left logo). I am trying to return mine for a “mediumâ€.

If not possible, I’ll eat milkshakes all winter to fill it out 😉.

I really wanted a heated vest as a layering piece. I tried this one out against Ororo and several Amazon buys, and while the heat is fantastic the vest itself is just a bit bulky, boxy, and is made of that swishy winter material.

The heating panel placement is wonderful – most other vests have a front abdomen heating panel instead of a chest panel like this one. Unfortunately, the fit is not right for me, I don’t like the puffiness, and I’d prefer a less swishy material for a layering piece.

I returned it. Gobi, if you’d consider making a slimmer, less puffed, less swishy vest – perhaps like your Hunting version but in black, or like the slim quilted Ororo version (but keep your chest heating panel!) – you’d have some even happier customers.

I purchased my black Gobi vest about a month ago and then almost immediately after I ordered one for my adult daughter because I am so happy with mine. The vest is brilliant1 It’s light weight with good zippers and multiple pockets for my stuff.

It’s not bulky. I wear it as the third of four layers and, even without utilizing the heating mode, the vest keeps my core warm. Glad I ordered the car charger so I can recharge my vest literally on the go.

My only disappointment is that the vest does not come in red. Please consider adding red for next season.

I have heated vests before, but not like this! The one has heated pockets, heated in the front and the entire back and even the collar! The warm collar on the back of your neck is so warming, it just warms your core.

Love it- so worth the money. I work in construction in New England, I wore this vest under my work coat in 10 degree weather and was comfortable for hours.

Sense being put on blood thinners. I found I was getting colder easier. So I decided to try the vest for comfortable ability And warmth. It works very well keeping me warm. I would recommend it to anyone who has a problem with getting cold really easy.

Plus it’s really light and a comfortable fit.

Even though the winter is yet to come, I have tested the vest a couple of times and seems to work okay. I’m not a biker but spend quite some time outdoors during the cold season. I will have plenty of time to evaluate all of the categories regarding this vest when the winter is in full swing.

Absolutely love my fleece heated vest. I work outside and this vest is easy to wear under a coat. It keeps me warm and has 3 heat settings. The battery is slim and does not get in my way while working.

I definitely would recommend this vest!! The fleece vest is best worn close to the body so you get the warmth against you. I just wear a long sleeve t-shirt under it. Then you can layer on top of the vest if you need more clothes.

So when picking the size keep this in mind.

Totally liked the vest, the fit, the quality, however the battery would not take a full charge. Directions state battery should be fully charged after 5 hours; it was not. Stayed blinking on the 3rd of the 4th lighted dot.

Put in vest, ran it till it died and charged again thinking it would take a full charge, it did not. Contacted ORORO explained my situation and they provided me with a replacement battery. Had various emails and pictures and they were fantastic! Absolutely outstanding customer service, I was very impressed.

Vest fits well, bought a size small, I’m 5’3″ and 117lb and it fits perfect. I would highly recommend any ORORO product, not only because the product it good quality but they have the customer service to back up their products.

My friend recommended the oromo heated vest for me and it was definitely one of my best purchases in 2020. It is light, soft, and very comfortable when wearing. It kept me warm for hours when I was outside making a snowman with my son last week.

The design is also very good. I can easily press the on/off button on the left chest to adjust the temperature settings among low, medium and high. The heat comes very fast as soon as you press the on button and seems to be more concentrated around the neck, which is a great advantage for me.

This heated vest is very stylish and the perfect choice on a cold day. It has an all-around heating for to vital spots (neck, back, and core) keeps you warm and stay active while you’re on the gon. It heats up very quickly and has great battery life.

This jacket is great! I mostly use while riding my motorcycle but I’ve also used it off the bike without any problems. It’s easy to adjust the amount of heat. I’ve had this jacket for over 5 years. Pros: Keeps you warm, I like where the heat zones are Easy to use with the battery pack, easy to adjust the temperature when used as a jacket (and not as a jacket liner).

Washable I’ve been using the same battery for the past 5 years, haven’t needed to buy a replacement battery yet! Cons: Not as warm when using it with the battery pack vs. plugging directly into the bike Wish the outer material was tougher, I mostly use this as a jacket liner.

Underneath another jacket, it’s hard to adjust the temperature. Doesn’t have bluetooth adjustment. No body armor, and no pockets for body armor I would have given it 5 stars if it had a tougher outer material and body armor.

When this one “dies,” I will be buying another to replace it.

The jacket performed as stated. I have rode in 38 degree weather with wind gusts up to 25 mph for as long as 1 hour. I stayed comfortable during the ride and the wind deflection of the jacket was better than expected.

The sizing chart work well for me, the fit of the jacket was great. Spring is here and the weather is being more moderate, cool morning and warm afternoons so the temperature control is convenient and easy to operate.

I plan on riding in colder weather so the heated riding pants are under consideration. For what this comment is worth…… my wife said it makes me look good. I guess I need all the help I can get in that department.

I’m an all season rider commuting to work on my FJR1300 almost daily in the PNW. Wet, rainy and cold weather for a few months. Ride in unless there is snow or black ice on the roads in the Seattle area.

When I plug this MW DP jacket into my 12v power harness, it really keeps my core warm even at the lowest setting down into the low 40 degrees F temperature zone. What I really like about this DP jacket is the heating elements in the arms.

Yes, it has quite long torso elements and one for the back. But you can really appreciate the warmth on your arms as they tend to get the full blast of high speed wind on the highway – fairing can’t protect them from the wind.

As to fit, its definitely athletic but you want it close to your body. Only wore t-shirts under this MW DP jacket down into the low 40s and was very comfortable. Quite windproof as I tested in on a couple of highway commuting days.

Fits well under my 4-season commuter jacket too. Just need to remove the Thinsulate liner first. As with the other dual power products like their Barra gloves, for short rides around town, you can plug into the battery in your jacket pocket for heat.

I also have a second motorcycle so I can use this jacket on that bike as well. Only need to install a second 12v power harness to that bike’s battery. Really nice to have both power options. Dual power – who knew? Love this jacket!.

Great tool; just purchased my 2nd one after the first one broke due to ignorant negligence. Be smart and heed this advice for the best use of this riveter. Go easy with the drill and not use all-out power when installing rivets.

Take it slow as most any drill can overpower and break this attachment if not careful. Let the tool do the work when installing rivets and and ejecting their shafts. Be methodical and the tool will last a long time and give you trouble-free operation.

We do, do love this new faucet! We installed it on our laundry room sink, which is used to clean everything from muddy boots to barbecue grille grates. It was always next to impossible to fully rinse the sink when done.

Now we can hit every square inch! Simple pleasures.

Excellent quality. All metal. Water spray covers the entire sink surface including all sides because it swivels where it attaches to the faucet AND on the sprayer. Easy change from spray to stream by turning rather then pushing/pulling.

For something I use everyday I don’t mind paying extra for a product this much better than the $6 plastic one found everywhere else.

It is my first electric vest, I was afraid that being 7v would not be enough for cold days. I have an Icon Overlord summer jacket (purchased here) and I needed something for my country, where the temperature during the day can be 28C and at night 10C at this time of year.

This vest without power on is much better than the original thermal vest of the Icon jacket, it is warmer and more wind resistant. It has 4 temperature levels, in the 3rd level I can travel up to 160km/h with an ambient temperature of 13C and still enjoy the heat, and traveling at a higher speed the wind manages to exceed the heating capacity of the vest (although if you feel especially neck and back).

The cons? I would like to have a larger battery (but I already bought an additional one), the heating pads could be larger or include pads for the kidney area, I would like to change the temperature without having to access the battery (as they do have in other models).

The price is high, I know, but you can get it with some discount :).

I bought this thinking that it would be quiet like most camo pattern material but the back is actually pretty noisy. Too noisy for bow hunting. Heat wise, is marginal at best. Even with the 34oomah battery, it doesn’t last too long and the connection is proprietary so you have to get the gerbing battery.

As of right now, I’m on the fence about this product.

Worn for the 1st time today, so cannot comment on longevity of battery. Hence why I have given it 4 stars rather than 5. Quality of material the waistcoat is made from is good and looks stylish on. Battery charged well, and turned on once placed neatly into the pocket situated inside the waistcoat.

I found the waistcoat is true to size. I have only used the lowest green setting and for me it is warm enough for now.

Bought for my wife, not really tried in the field yet. Looks good and heats up fine. However, instructions minimal to non-existent! No information on the ports on the power pack. Also easy to leave on in error after use, which flattens the battery!.

This is the most fantastic jacket if you spend a lot of time outside in the colder months. Have worn it walking and riding and it is so comfortable and efficient at keeping you warm. Very easy to use and very good value for money.

Just a vest. Didn’t want sleeves; keeping my core warm was all I was looking for. Just a simple on/off switch on the cord. Heat not adjustable. It doesn’t get too hot though. Great for spring and fall riding on the west coast.

Vest was recommended to my by a friend. Don’t buy it to fit loose. It works better if it’s a snug fit and worn just over a t-shirt or regular shirt.

I’ve owned several heated vests from different manufacturers over the decades and this vest is the best I’ve ever used. Not a fan of the cords and controllers as they can be awkward to deal because the cord from controller to vest is an odd length.

You guys are the greatest! It arrived fast and quality is fine, BUT I ordered a 2XL thinking I could make due since you were out of stock. AND I found the wife and I both could get into it at the same time.

(wrong sport!) Had to send it back only because it is too big.
