Nice fitting mats contour well to the car floor. Not the thickest but decent quality none the less and for the price, not being much more than generic mats, good value for money.

I bought these roughly a year ago to wear for winter work. I work outside in the mountains and do ten hour shifts. I’ve always used the low setting just so they last long enough for an entire shift. Most days I’ll start the heaters about one or two hours into the shift and there are some times when I come back home eight to ten hours later and the socks still have power.

The socks definitely keep my toes warmer than they would be but the heating element is on the top of the toes and most of the heat seems to get sucked out of the bottom of my feet/shoes into the ground/snow.

This means the colder days can be a little rough. I just noticed yesterday that the heel is worn out on one sock and the other isn’t far behind. I guess this souldn’t be too surprising since I am on my feet alot walking and snowmobiling.

It would be great if ActionHeat would offer an option to purchase the socks without everything else (batteries, remote, etc) for people like me. But as it stands I will not be repurchasing these. I have several pairs of wool socks for summer work that I’ved owned for 3-4 years and they still don’t have heel holes.

Yea, I might be using these 30-40hrs a week in the winter but I still feel like $120+ socks could’ve lasted longer than one year.

Comfortable. These wool-blend socks are soft with just the right amount of stretch to conform to my foot and leg. Warm. The three heat settings allow me to choose the needed level of heat, low when in the house, medium or high when outdoors for extended times.

Long-lasting. Even in the medium and high heat modes the batteries last for hours. One concern keeps this from a five-star rating. I purchased two pair last year and one of the socks stopped heating so i purchased a replacement pair this year.

This was a gift to my father. He’s 100% disabled vet and try’s to walk his dog daily. He’s in northern Ohio so it’s cold now. He can’t feel when he is cold so I thought these would be perfect. The first time he said he loved them, and he felt the warmth.

After the 2nd wear the pocket that holds the battery came off. The sock stopped producing heat as well. Now only one sock is warm. He tried to sew it back on but it still doesn’t work. Good thought but didn’t deliver any quality.

I would not recommend as a gift for a hero, someone you love or any homeless people. It will be a big disappointment!.

I live in Minnesota near the Canadian border, and I ice-fish in the winter. My toes are the first part of my body to get uncomfortably cold. Heavy wool boot socks, keeping my feet dry, and layering for warmth retention are not enough.

I’ve purchased fleece insoles to help with the cold, too, but while better, it isn’t enough. On typical ice-fishing days, I depended on disposable hand warmer packs which use air to heat. Packs are great in mittens, but in shoes? Once fully heated, I’ve put the packs into the toe area of my arctic muck boots; however, they tend to “turn off” after a few minutes because of a lack of circulating air.

This results in cold toes reducing time on the ice. Looking for a more dependable heat source, I purchased these socks in January, and they are a game-changer. They are just the right amount of warmth, holding a charge on the highest heat setting to cover my ice-fishing trip.

I thought I would need to layer with thin socks, but they are perfect alone. Why four stars? I personally do not recommend these socks for anything more than sitting or light foot travel. I can feel the heating wires while wearing them as I walk.

(FYI, I choose to change into them when I know I am done snowshoeing out onto the lake to my fishing spot, so I can avoid potential pokes or blisters. ) I did buy a larger size than necessary (for possible layering) and feel no cold spots on my feet as another reviewer suggested.

I am so happy to have found this wonderful, amazing product. When cold weather rolls around my feet, especially my heels get cold and I have trouble falling asleep. (It’s an aging thing for me – 60 now).

I’ve tried many things to keep my feet warm when going to bed but this far surpasses anything I’ve ever used and so comfortable and convenient!!! I typically put it on high for 10 minutes or so, then when I go to bed I turn it off, slide my feet into the warm, cozy pocket of a blanket and it’s perfect.

I have a cold feet problem. I always have cold feet. I can even have cold feet when it’s 90 degrees outside. So many night I have struggled with sleep because of cold feet. It is uncomfortable and starts hurting my entire legs.

I have tried heated pads before, heated insoles, many many many socks, and nothing has ever been as great as this. It warms up quickly and effectively warms up my feet. I can feel my whole body relaxing when I put my feet into these.

I highly highly recommend. I just bought a second one and will buy more because I cannot live without this. I forgot to pack this on a recent trip and reallly regretted.

These are not worth the money. The batteries are HUGE and can weigh down the sock. Also, if you plan to wear these with tall winter boots, they won’t fit. It hits the very top of my bogs, kamiks, etc and makes it super uncomfortable.

Also, because the battery is so large, you cannot wear these under tight pants. The heating element is only underneath a portion of your foot bed, so the tips and tops of your toes will still be cold.

Don’t buy direct from Ororo because they will not let you return socks.

This product is an excellent design. The fabric does a great job of wicking moisture and the heating elements are not noticeable during use. On cold days these are great.

A little weird having a wire running along side but still comfortable! Love that my toes will stay warm this winter!

I hunt big game/waterfowl and sometimes the weather turns really cold. I own drawers full of “cold weather socks,” including battery operated models, heated insoles and use toe warmer packs. I usually wind up with cold feet, especially if I’m in a tree stand deer hunting.

I received a pair of Heat Holder socks for Christmas and discovered they really do keep my feet warm. They were purchased from Academy Sports but both local stores in my area were sold out. I went to their web site and ordered two pairs.

They only had one remaining, so at least I now own two pairs. I recommend them to anyone going outdoors in cold weather, especially if your going to be sitting on a deer stand/blind or waterfowl hunting.

I purchased the long merino wool blend socks at three times the price of a standard sock after doing research online and coming across Heat Holders claim that this was a sock many times as warm as a normal sock.

After a few weeks of intensive usage, I’m slightly disappointed: the sock does its work, particularly keeping the heat when the foot is moving (and therefore warm). However when idle at home, it doesn’t feel warm and often I feel as cold as I would without it.

The great knee length is certainly my favourite feature. However it doesn’t do a great job keeping the feet dry after a bit of a walk and moist accumulates fast on the inside. Not a terrible sock by any means, but so far also not convinced of all its marketing claims.

I purchased my first pairs of Heat Holders because my feet are always cold. The socks I’d been wearing had been redesigned and are now very difficult to put on for this old lady. Heat Holders slip on with no tugging and keep my feet cozy.

The heavy ones are great with my Birkenstock sandals; the lighter ones are still very warm and fit into my shoes and boots. Not only that, but they’re comfortable on the foot irritated by sciatica. I have only one suggestion to make them better: Please mark them in some way so I can tell my heavy pairs from my medium pairs from my light pairs more easily.

I bought these for my wife, who has Raynaud’s. This means circulation in her extremities is poor when it gets cold. It can be very dangerous in the backcountry or in very cold conditions. She finds that the socks randomly turn off and she still loses circulation even when on full heat.

She also reports that she had blisters when ski touring, as the material is sorta rough to the touch compared to a quality merino ski sock. She has to wear a pair of liners under these socks to prevent blisters, which is more bulky and doesn’t fit super well in her boots.

There is no way to control the heat without using your phone, which is also a downside. Phones tend to die or lose battery quickly in very cold conditions (especially if you’re pulling them out of your pocket all the time to check if the socks are still on).

So if your phone dies, your socks stop working too. These socks should be a perfect solution to cold feet with how expensive they are. We don’t feel they are worth the price.

I’ve had cold feet and hands all my life and developed Raynauds about 20 years ago. I have had battery operated insoles in my ski boots which I would have to have on the highest setting to just take the frozen feeling off my feet.

They are about as good as toe warmers which give relatively little warmth and only last 3 hours max. The last two years I was adding toe warmers in with the battery operated insoles to keep my feet from freezing, so not working well! On to new ski boots and looking at the latest technology I bought these socks and they are the best!! I tried the $100 Amazon socks and don’t bother.

One battery didn’t work, you could feel the wires under your feet, the sock didn’t come up high enough to get past the top of your boot and it cut off the circulation in the calf as it was so tight and I don’t have big calves.

On to this product that is more expensive but it works and is comfortable!! This sock also has strategic light padding for the shin and ankles for ski boots. I started with warming my ski boots with a hand warmer hot shot in each boot and having my boots under the car heater and trying to keep my feet warm before we hit the ski hill (this was always my procedure for skiing in the past).

I put the socks on the lowest mode which did the trick to keep my feet warm, in fact when we first went up the gondola my feet felt too warm, then I looked and saw the battery had accidentally moved to the medium mode, hence the hot feet.

So I turned the battery off. I skied for 1 1/2hrs before I turned the socks back on to the low mode and it was great for the rest of the day. The highest mode is like having a heating pad on your feet so when your feet really feel frozen you can actually warm them up! I will most likely be using the socks on medium in my ski boot when it is colder out such as -10C and below.

This product is so great and the sock so comfortable, I’ll be using these socks in the house as well when watching TV in the basement in the winter! Sizing: I am a female and take size 8 1/2 ski boot (size 8 regular shoe size) and the socks fit perfectly!.

These socks have made ALL the difference for this winter lover! I began having issues with cold hands and feet about two years ago and now I can play outside for hours again and be comfortable! I bought it for my guys winter camping trip to alaska. For typical californian going to fairbanks alaska for 5 days, sleeping in a tent & checking out aurora, this was one of the best buy. Kept me warm almost full day and i can charge it in a car.

Can you say yaaaaaassssssss?! These are my new magic socks! I had to travel up north for the holidays, and I’m a complete wimp when it comes to the cold. These socks are amazing! They are super thick and would be warm on their own.

But why stop there?! They have little battery packs you can charge and insert into little pockets! They have cords that are easy to plug into and the battery pocket is on the leg not the foot. The socks are so thick you barely notice the wires.

There are three settings. They warm up fairly quick. I like the low setting, and it lasts a long time. I recommend these to anyone who works outdoors and anyone who enjoys hiking or skiing. Definitely a yes!.

Socks are pretty warm, they certainly won’t burn your feet but they do help keep your toes from freezing. The battery life is meh at best if you have them turned up high enough to be really warm. I ordered 2 pairs so I have a second set of batteries that I take with me to work and its almost enough to get me through the entire day.

The socks themselves are very soft and comfortable to wear with or without the batteries. They appear to be well made and haven’t shown any signs of wear yet. Overall, they are a decent value and if you’re like me where once your feet get cold you’re perma frozen they are a real blessing.

Pretty good. My feet have peripheral neuropathy. When my feet get cold they don’t warm back up again. I leave in the AM with socks on! My question ISN’T how many hours you get. My question is how long will the lithium recharge? How many times! So far so good.

I have Reynaud’s disease, leading to quick freezing of the toes and fingers. I have very recently received these and they are working as hoped so far. I have tried them for both downhill and X-country skiing.

They are comfortable and convenient. The battery is easy to install, stays in it place despite the movement from skiing, and is easily accessed to change the setting. The setting does not get easily changed by accident.

I have mostly used them on the lowest setting so far, such the battery autonomy has been very good. They have kept my feet warm without making them too warm such that they would get wet. Aside from the monstrous price, this is a great buy!.

I have a really hard time keeping my feet warm in winter so these socks were worth every penny I spent on them. Rode 106 days last winter (many days from when the lifts opened till they closed) and these socks were so amazing.

Keeps my toes really warm plus the rest of my feet too, and were very comfortable didn’t feel the heating elements in the socks at all. I got the Lithium 1200 batteries which were perfect, never had them run out of energy on the hill.

I’d always start out on the low setting then go up to medium heat if it got colder during the day which rarely happened. Didn’t even notice the batteries at all since they are are light on my feet tucked under the top cuff, it’s a really great design to keep them super secure inside the sock where it rolls over to hold them after you snap into the 3 rivets which connects to power source.

I like my feet really dry too so bought two pairs of socks to change into at lunch time which I highly recommend if you ride all day like me. Instead of wasting time warming my feet in the warming hut or lodge missing powder runs I could sometimes snowboard all day long without even stopping to take a break.

Borrowing a pair of my sister’s Heat Holders led me to this purchase. She was visiting me in Galveston when the polar vortex rolled through last February. She let me borrow a pair of her Heat Holders, and despite no heat for 4 days, my toes were never cold.

Considering I suffer from Raynaud’s that is a very impressive accomplishment. I love that these are super warm, but can still be worn with regular shoes. Cannot recommend highly enough! I’ve also purchased the heavier Heat Holders, which I love, too.

The only downside is that I can only wear them around the house as they’re too bulky to fit in regular shoes. Still, worth every penny!.

My husband and I have been sitting out in the freezing cold for spring baseball games for 15+ years (and counting) with our three baseball playing boys (little league, high school and now college) and the first time we wore your socks (a week ago) was the ONLY time our feet were ever truly warm.

I bought two pairs for my sister who lives in Indiana. She has had surgeries and has had metal parts implanted so she gets very, very cold during the harsh Indiana winters. She LOVES these socks and says that she’ll get so warm with them on, she has to take them off when she’s at home.

She will wear them when she leaves the house and they keep her perfectly warm. She absolutely loves these socks and they’ve made a huge impact for her with being able to tolerate the snowy days and nights.

I bought several during the holidays for me and my daughter and we absolutely love them. I have nephropathy and my feet get very cold even during the warm season. Every time my daughter comes to visit, she borrows mine and then takes them home.

These are no longer being sold, but I was able to find 5 pair at the Lenox store. I swear by these and if I could find more, I would order them.

We have hard wood floors and sometimes even in the summer the floor is cold on my diabetic feet and these socks are awesome keeping my feet warm.

I was delighted with the quality of these Merino wool socks. I especially love how plush and luxurious they feel. These definitely are the most comfortable socks I’ve ever had. But despite their warmth rating, I still have to wear slippers on colder days.

I should note however that, though I have no circulation problem, my feet always seem to get colder than most. The only issue I have with these socks is their length. I was surprised how short they were when I took them out of the package.

They’re shorter than other crew socks I’ve had. And although they do fit as shown in the web site photo, they do not stay up when you walk around, which was a surprise since the elastic sewn into them seemed absolutely perfect.

I just wish they were a little longer.

True to their name, they do keel your feet warm. Couple things to watch for, though. It appears that as your feet approach the upper end of the size scale, the socks seem a bit tight, especially around the toes.

This may prove a little uncomfortable if you’re dealing with diabetic peripheral neuropathy, as I am. At least until you get the. stretched out from wearing and washing. I found this especially so if you want to use sock liners to keep your feet/toenails from snagging the loosely woven interiors of the Heat Holders.

Unfortunately, it seems this is the order of the day for men’s socks in the USA. Such iife!!.

My husband loves these socks. He has peripheral neuropathy in his feet, from years of playing hockey. These are soft and warm. He wears them every day. He also has a pair that he wears to bed, so that the bedcovers don’t irritate his feet.

Some warm jacket big boots helped me many years but nowadays technology got me like this socks. No moisture good quality.

My feet are always cold and even the warmest snow boots won’t keep them warm. The first time I tried these socks they kept my feet warm for an entire day working outside. I started out with them set on high and was able to turn them to the next lowest setting and still be warm and comfortable.

These are a game changer for me!.

I found these socks to be nicely made with good quality material and stitching. The heating element is mainly under the toes and forward ball of the foot with the wires running alongside the foot and ankle to avoid pressure points.

The heating pads are thin and you can definitely feel them when you walk but it’s the kind of presence that you can get used to after a while. The top cuff has a deep pocket on the side in which to stuff the battery and wire.

It bulges out a bit but is not a problem to cover with your pant leg. How long do the batteries last on one charge? Setting 1 (highest, 55°C) lasts 4-5 hours; setting 2 (45°C) lasts 6-7 hours; setting 3 (38°C) lasts 9-10 hours.

I tested it on the max setting (#1) and got around 5 hours of warmth during mixed usage indoors and outdoors (35°F, 2°C). This was consistent with the claimed duration on the site. How hot does it feel? 55°C (131°F) merely feels warm but that is how these heated foot devices work.

I’ve used heated insoles in ski boots for decades and they work by taking the edge off the cold though gentle warmth. These socks work the same way. I have not run an extended test on these yet so I won’t comment on how they hold up through many wash cycles and many charge cycles; I’ll update later as appropriate.

But my initial reaction to these socks is very positive. They are made well and work as designed. Nice!.

Nice Socks Hard to Beat Price These are pretty nice socks over all. I could not find another pair that had their own rechargeable batteries for anything close to the price. The socks themselves are nothing fancy but seem to be well made.

They have a decent thickness and pad about them and none of the seams look like they will come apart quickly. There is nice heat at the toes which is where my feet always get icy cold while out hunting.

They are a good length for my muck boots. I plan to have the batteries in my pack and just plug them into the socks when I get to my stand. We will see how they hold up over time but for the price they are definitely worth the try and my initial impressions are great.

Better than expected! I usually don t gush about socks but Wow! The quality of these socks are beautiful! Thick and cozy. Three levels of heat and very compact and well placed power supply pockets. I do a lot of astrophotography in and around the Sierra Nevada mountains.

Lately it s been in the snow and sub freezing temperatures and usually in the middle of nowhere. My toes are no longer uncomfortably cold which now allows me to stay outdoors until three or four in the morning without discomfort.

Combined with the pair of heated pants I purchased last year and my Marmot puffy jacket I m now toasty and happy. I don t know why I waited so long to get these.

These socks are the worst. I regret buying them especially since they are so expensive. The app that connects to the socks doesn’t work at all. But that doesn’t matter much since there are very easy to use without the app.

The bigger problem is how uncomfortable they are. First. They bulge and it’s impossible not to have clumps of extra frabic in your boot (not ideal). But worse, no matter how I wear them, I get extraordinary pain in the bottom of my foot.

It feels like a wire is cutting through me. After a few runs I can barely walk. They solve my cold toes issue but have created a way worse one. If you’re looking for a heated boot solution I’d go with another brand or a heated liner.

I was wondering whether to use Lenz socks or this product in the same category, but I chose this one because of its price. The socks feel very good, and although they are thicker than mico socks, they feel more comfortable than ordinary ski socks.

I wonder if there is no problem even for those who value the feeling of the soles of the feet. Probably much better than being cold and dull. In addition, the battery part has a large capacity and can be used for a long time, so it seems that you can spend the day comfortably unless the temperature is maximized all day long due to a snowstorm.

Above all, you can control the temperature with your smartphone, so you can set it to MAX when you are on the lift and lower the temperature when you start to slide. In addition, the motion sensor has a mechanism to raise the temperature once when there is no movement, and it seems that automatic management is also possible.

Note. this is NOT the Bluetooth battery pack. Description states that you can control the battery/heat level via Bluetooth app. I ordered these because I wanted that feature and it said it had this feature.

However now that I have the item, it is not the Bluetooth version. It looks like the only Bluetooth versions are the 700B and 1400B battery packs. The 1200 does not have this feature. Will be contacting backcountry for a refund and to notify them of the wrong item description.

Unfortunately it now appears they don?t actually carry the Bluetooth enabled versions. As this was a gift for my wife before our next snowboard trip later this week, I?m fairly disappointed.

I bought the socks for hiking, skiing snowshoeing as I get cold toes. However, from the get,-go, the one sock battery didn’t always stay on – it seemed to have an unstable connection. I took them back for credit instead of purchasing another pair, not wanting to take a chance, though hopefully it was a one-off.

I will use $2 disposable boot warmers instead for now. Of note, I could feel the tiny wire under my foot but solved that easily by putting a very thin liner sock beneath. The socks are not very thick so no problem wearing the two pair together.

The socks did warm up well when turned on and working. I gave three stars because they seemed well made and they have a one year limited warranty. Since I bought them from Sail, and it had been less than 30 days since purchase, I was able to return for a refund easily.

I got these for my 86 yo mother because her feet are always cold. She loves them and wears them every day. She wears them on low and they last about 10 hrs. She has washed them by taking the batteries out and washing them by hand in cold water (because wool shrinks in warm or hot water) with a few drops of dishwashing soap.

She did not wring them out, but laid them on a towel and rolled the towel over them to soak up as much water as possible and left them to dry. She has size 5 feet and the small fits her very well. They stay up on her legs and are quite thick so her booties are snug with them on.

She highly recommends them. One thing I would add is that the directions were a bit confusing to get started. The high-med-low indicators next to the lights are very tiny. You have to memorize which is which.

She keeps the remote control on her purse for safe keeping. It is very handy if she wants to turn them off.

Purchased and used for DH/AT skiing and sledding. They don’t really work. Need to be on the hottest setting to make a difference at a temp (-10+) anyone would need heated socks. The very nice VP staff sold me on these cheaper versions (I was looking for the Lenz brand) so they did a great job as usual ;).

They are also too short to wear with ski boots especially in a AT situation, they fall down, the battery pops out and bounces around your ski pant. I will be returning them and biting the Lenz bullet.

I am sure these socks would work great for casual situations – apres in snow boots, sliding with the kids, maybe even snow shoeing and less complicated winter activities. Also nice that they are a merino blend – but not sourced/info very well.

Really versatile item have also used socks whilst having a golf playing lesson in very cold weather. They helped to maintain a fairly comfortable body temperature even seem to keep my gloved hands from going too cold because of my feet were warmer.

Usually in the winter it gets to the stage where I cant go out and play golf because my hands cant grip golf club. I have the Bluetooth operated socks which also worked well when I went skiing the other day at an indoor ski centre.

Because my mobile phone was in my outside pocket of my ski jacket it lost power rapidly. Conclusion is maybe the app takes up a lot of battery power or the phone getting very cold. I will put phone on inside pocket next time and see how it improves things.

Ordered 4 of these for our family for skiing this winter. 3 out of 4 of them worked great – the elastic band that helps hold the battery in place could use some reinforcement, but that’s not a big deal.

The 4th pair was defective – one of the socks didn’t hold a charge. While customer service initially was responsive in sending a return label and taking both socks and the battery back, the follow-up has been completely miserable.

They were supposed to send me new socks. But it’s now been nearly a month, I still have nothing, and no solution for my feet while the company has my $300. In my view, new socks should have been sent right away with expedited shipping, no questions asked.

Absolutely awful customer service for such expensive products.

I already have one pair of these socks which are still going strong (purchased approx 3 years ago) & have purchased another pair so that I can alternate whilst washing one pair. I suffer with Raynauds disease & tremendous pain when my feet are cold.

These heated socks are absolutely amazing & have enabled me to continue with my ski holiday & outdoor adventures.

Bought my first pair in Val Thorens some years ago, those quickly ended up in my sons wardrobe and have been trying to get extras since then. Love the sock and the shin protection, really save me some bruises :).
