I ordered this for my young adult granddaughter in the purple color. It is soooo cute and the small fits her perfectly! She is a tiny girl so I would size up if you like your clothes a little looser.

What I love about this jacket is that it’s light weight, doesn’t feel like I’m restricted from movement while wearing this jacket, and the warmth is great to although it would be nice if it had heat in the bottom portion as well.

The reason I’m giving this jacket only two stars is because I purchased this one over the others due to the fact that it was lightweight for one…. but mostly because of the supposed RIPSTOP technology.

I assumed that it meant the fabric, although lightweight, would be durable enough to NOT RIP! I got this jacket last year and barely wore it because not long after getting it, the weather no longer gave me a need for it.

I pull it out a week ago for the cold weather days and the first day I’m wearing it, I go into lowes with no rips or tears (I know this for a fact because my husband purchased this for me as a gift and I specifically remember standing in front of him before leaving the house and telling him how I had apparently lost weight since last year because my jacket is now a little loose vs last time I wore it) I was so proud of my gift from my husband and looking at every aspect of my jacket in admiration……so yeah no rips, no holes, brand new condition….

So I go into lowes, come outside, and the weather is much warmer, so I take the jacket off, fold it in half to lay in my backseat and almost wanted to cry because as I’m laying it in the seat, I see not one BUT THREE rips about 1/2” to 1.

5” in size. I never rubbed up against anything in the store, or got snagged on anything so I have knowledge of how this occurred but more than anything was disappointed at how easily the rips got there.

I could see if I was walking past something sharp and got stuff and tried to pull away but nope! I’m just very disappointed! I know it can be fixed (well maybe…. the fabric is almost like a rain jacket fabric and it ripped through the cotton layer as well) but it’s just not the same! I was very proud of my jacket and now I’m just disappointed in the durability!.

The jacket heats okay which is it’s primary function. However, there are MAJOR design flaws that will keep me from buying it again or recommending it. The battery pocket is the WORST. It is in the most uncomfortable spot ever.

How did this pass prototype phase without someone realizing it? Also, the jacket is made of a weak material and easily rips. Also the zippers are junk and jam up too easy. Overall I tell my friends to stay away from this jacket until they revise the product all together.

This jacket performs well for what I purchased it for. I work in an industrial cooler/freezer (between 35 to -20 degrees F)and can’t seem to stay warm. This jacket provides additional heat, which is exactly what I wanted.

There are some problems with the jacket, but it was still a decent purchase. The major problem is that jacket only has heating in the upper torso & shoulder area, so those areas can get hot without warming the rest of you as the jacket doesn’t do a great job of dispersing the heat generated throughout the jacket.

The other problem worth mentioning is the placement of the battery pocket. It is on the lower back on the left side. Nice and out of the way while you are up and about while working. It is completely in the way while sitting or driving.

The jacket and the battery produce a warm comfortable feeling in cold temps. I would have preferred that the battery pocket be opposite the outside breast pocket to have better balance. Also the breast pocket could be shortened so that the items like a phone does not rub against the battery when seated as it now does.

Also I would like to see the sleeves have a silk type lining versus the fleece. Anything I wear long sleeve clings to the fleece lining and makes it a hassle to get on and off without several adjustments.

I bought this for my boyfriend for Christmas, and he always talks about how absolutely amazing it is ALL the time!! He’s an appliance repairman, and spends a lot of time either outdoors, or in a barely, heated room.

This jacket is great because when riding your motorcycle, you can plug into the bikes electrical system for constant heat. This jacket was essential on a motorcycle trip I did over New Years 2020 when I hit some wet and cold weather in the mountains.

This jacket also comes with a battery, which has been handy when riding my scooter and Grom, which do not produce enough volts to plug into the electrical system. The jacket has plugs in the sleeves so you can attach heated gloves.

But you are only supposed to use the heated gloves when wired in, not on battery. You can bypass that by plugging the battery into the 12v cord instead of the cable in the pocket, but the battery won’t last as long.

And unlike most motorcycle gear, especially heated gear, this looks great off the bike. This will become your go-to coat! My only gripe is that the battery is pretty heavy in the pocket, but it is the price you pay for warmth and convenience in the wired age.

Bought this because I really wanted the dual ability for outside work and then being on the bike. However it’s a jacket and not a liner. So unfortunately if you want to wear it on a motorcycle with a proper outer shell ie; with armor etc, then it’s not great.

The jacket is bulky. I went with an XL. I am 5’10” 210lbs. 46” chest. Issue is I have a strong built upper body. The sizing is for people with the same dimensions as you go to the waist. My waist is 34”.

So there’s a lot of extra material around the waist. A Large would be too tight in the chest. Kinda sucks. This type of jacket needs to be worn close to the body and for me there’s too much room in the wrong places.

I called the company and was told that the size I have is the best bet. So in essence I could have just bought the regular battery vest and saved the extra money for a real standard MC plug in liner.

Bummer because I really wanted this to be the do it all jacket and it falls short.

I thoroughly tested this last week and am quite pleased. It was raining and the temperature was in the low 40’s. After a 20 minute ride ride down the Interstate, I spent the next six hours walking around a parking lot observing a motorcycle safety class.

It rained all day and eventually reached the mod 40’s. I was wearing the vest over a heavy wool sweater with a merino wool base layer. The vest was on high for at least the hour then lowered down to 3 for about an hour and down to 2 until the battery died.

I took a chance on an open box item. While I received the jacket in just a vacuum sealed plastic bag the item looked new and unused. Battery and charger all new. So for sure. Throw away the box and charge me 50% less any day! Also the first thing I did was charge the battery and fire up the jacket.

Works as advertised. Helps that I have worn the first version for about 3 years. Looking forward to the heated collar in this one. Then why 4 stars. This is the slowest delivery ever. Like 2 weeks minimum to get products from them.

It arrived earlier than expected and was exactly what I ordered. The size was perfect because of the easy to use size chart they supplied on “The Warming Store†site. The heated jacket is great! We started it on the high setting until it got warm then we were able to lower the temperature using the battery to maintain and comfort level without getting too hot of too cold.

I love having heated apparel, so much more than I ever imagined when I bought my first jacket. I’ve had good luck with Venture Heat’s hoodies, and have been able to give them the occasional washing. Not this coat, though.

The smell was a little off-putting after this coat being in storage for the warmer months, so I tossed it in the washing machine – it is, afterall, supposedly machine washable. All of the filling got bunched up, leaving the shell empty throughout most of the coat.

Too expensive for a one-season jacket. To be fair, I’m going to re-buy it since it is on closeout. I want to keep all my heated apparel with the same sharable battery for easy rotation, so I’m not switching brands.

But I know now that this one can’t be washed as claimed.

I am always frozen to the bone in winter and I hate it! I get cold easily. My winter coat was on its final leg (arm?) so I decided to replace it with this heated one and I couldn’t be happier. It heats up fast.

It has three settings, though I find the lowest setting to be unnoticeable. On medium and hot, you’ll definitely be toasty. I start with hot and switch down as needed. When I’m out in below-freezing temperatures I will feel the cold on my face and toes but my chest and back are well protected with this jacket.

I also like the pocket heater, but I ended up buying heated gloves separately. The jacket isn’t very thick like a traditional winter coat, so it is lighter with more mobility. The battery is about the size of my hand and not very heavy.

You can feel the battery in the jacket, but I’d say that’s more because it is hard object rather than a heavy one. The battery removes easily for charging. A single charge lasts a while. I haven’t gone out much this year with the pandemic, so I can’t really judge the charge accurately.

Only real downside on this one is no hood, but the manufacturer has different styles to choose from.

This is the Fourth Venture heat jacket I have bought. I bought my first one for myself and then have given the rest away as gifts. This one was for my sister in law. We were standing outside, less than 15º in December at a Chicago pregame tailgate party.

I was just as warm as could be while she and everyone else were shivering and miserable. I decided I needed to get her one too. She loves it, and now takes it snowboarding replacing the inner jacket of her snowboarding jacket.

She turns it on when she is going up the ski lifts which used to be miserable for her on cold days (she is something like 110 pounds) and now enjoys staying outside with us during après ski instead of hiding inside the lodge.

The different settings are great, because you can turn the coat on high until you get warm and then turn it down to medium or low just to sustain it, which makes the battery last all day.

The battery works well. Unfortunately, when you turn it on the status lights come on for a few seconds and then go out. When you turn it off, it does the same thing. So there is no status light to indicate whether the battery is on or off.

This could result in the user leaving the battery on when they think it is off. A flaw in design in my opinion. The Jacket is heavier than I anticipated, which is good. It breaks the wind very well. The placement of the heating elements is a little deceiving from the pictures.

I felt the back element right away, however the front elements are touch and go. It works, just not felt as quickly as the rear. Overall, The jacket is heavier and more wind resistant than I anticipated and that is a bonus.

The heating elements work and will probably do even better with under layers.

Tried the jacket inside my home and can only feel the heat in the back. If there is a heating unit in the front it must be minimal. Can definitely feel the rear unit. Will be returning it because I need heating elements in the front also.

Lastly the battery pocket is poorly positioned since presses on my stomach when bending forward or sitting on my bike. Overall it fits well and looks well.

Battery life is fair. Heat location is good. Batteries are very costly to replace or c add a back up. Helps a fair bit riding in the cold. Glad I bought it. And as a note. I wear size XXL shirts and jackets.

I bought XXXXL and it just gives me room for under garments so they do run a bit small.

I bought this as a replacement for a Regatta jacket that I had for years, which was very good. This one is excellent too. Waterproof, windproof and very smart in dark blue. Zipper pocket helps with security if you are travelling and have to keep passports on you.

My previous jacket had a ‘secret pocket’, which zipped and was inside the jacket, this one does not have that, which is a pity because it was a useful feature. It is advertised as lined but the lining is the special net -type lining which keeps moisture away from your body; it’s not a lining that keeps you warm.

My advise is to buy a size bigger than you need so that you can wear a jumper or sweatshirt underneath, especially if you’re going to wear it as your main winter coat.

I bought this jacket for my husband and he really likes the colour and the feature zip pockets on the chest. His only complaint was he felt it’s a little short, but otherwise he’s pleased with it. It appears to be well made and has some nice design features, including the pack away hood, which is always useful.

The two tone colour way is a nice feature and elevates the jacket from standard rainy weather walking wear.

I love this jacket. It’s great for everyday wear and looks great. It’s especially good for the cold weather. Keeps you warm and repells the wind and rain. Worth every penny and I will most definitely be buying the Regatta brand again.

I never write reviews, but this one deserves it!! I was debating spending this much on a jacket, but it was totally worth it. It arrived quickly, in very nice packaging, seems like quality material, and looks super cute!! The LED control on the front looks dope in the dark, too.

I’m 5’5, 140lbs, and got a small. The size recommendation was a medium but the color I wanted was only available in small, so I went with it. I’m glad I did- it fits great! I prefer my jackets fitted.

I gifted this coat to friend who was moving to Colorado and is always cold. She had used it every day since moving and tells me constantly how much it has made a difference. The quality is amazing and it gets so warm she often has to turn it down which I never thought would happen.

I cannot wait to get myself one for when TN gets 3 days of snow haha! Also the packaging to store the coat is great as well as the customer service from GOBI. I now tell all my military friends to get one when they move to cold regions.

Have not been able to wear my jacket yet, but; definitely impressed with the reveal itself! It was a pleasant surprise to open the box and find that the Gobi Company had my jacket in a bright orange zip up bag.

I was excited to get this jacket but then quickly disappointed wearing it, after fulling charging the battery did not last much over 2 hours on Med. I tried it out again going to the store put it on high for about 10 minutes until my truck warmed up then, I kept it on low and was in the store just over an hour when we went outside I was going to put it on high again but the battery was already dead and I never realized it was off.

On the low setting I really can not tell that its on. The jacket has some warmth to it without being on but not enough for cold days, I think the hooded sweatshirt would have been better because a hood is great if its raining or bitter cold and windy.

I wore it to work today to test the battery again because my office is cold I tried low but no warmth so put it on medium and the battery lasted close to 2 and 1/2 hours. for a $50 battery and nearly $200 jacket I think it should do better.

debating if to send it back. Its just a lot to spend for a so-so product. The jacket seams made well and is fashionable for a work jacket. the L fits snugly (5’4 150 lbs) as expected so could layer over it, but was hoping with the heater I would not need to.

Received the jacket promptly. It passed the first test easily-my wife liked how it looks and fit! I then charged up the battery pack. As it is still cold I had a chance to use the jacket walking the dog.

The jacket itself is comfortable and warm. The heating elements did warm up but not as warm as I expected. As such I did not get to test the three settings as I kept it on the warmest (High heat-red) setting.

Will keep wearing it but likely on those cool but not the cold days and nights.

I have ordered several items over the years with Sharper Image without any issues. However, I recently purchased the women’s heated softshell jacket for my wife. The invoice in the package was correct.

However, the item I received was the men’s heated softshell vest in size XL. I’m not sure how I ended up with the wrong style and size. I filed an exchange claim, and I just received that email today.

It seems that the issue will be resolved.

Bought this as gift for my husband to attend cold soccer, baseball, soccer games for our grandchildren. He loves it! In fact went back and bought one for myself!

Medium thickness, covers your bottom, long sleeves…very comfortable. The only drawback is the colour. It’s dark burgundy/brown. Not red as the picture shows.

Lightweight, very warm. Heating works wonderfully! Size S perfectly fits 8-10.

So warm in its own right, once you add the heating into it, it’s like a furnace. Great product, very happy with it

I walk my dog daily. rain, sleet or snow. Live in Wisconsin. Just got this jacket and wore it for the first time. I could definitely feel the warmth in the house, when I got outside I thought I had turned it off accidentally.

Note: the controls are in a very hard place to see once you got the jacket on. I finally saw I had it turned on the highest setting but it did not feel as warm outside. Temp outside was 19 degrees so that’s probably why.

However I was not cold. And an added plus was that my hands never got cold. I did not walk with my hands in the heated pockets but I think the heaters in the body of the jacket helped keep my hands warm.

I think this will work great for me. One drawback is the size of the battery when placed in the battery compartment it bulges out in the back bottom of the jacket which doesn’t look so great. Maybe sizing up could help disguise the bulge.

This jacket is great! I have seen them around for some time and kept asking my wife if she wanted one, well I finally bought her one. What a mistake waiting! This coat fits her well and heats everywhere well.

The quality is great as always with Milwaukee. The three different heat settings are very nice. The only disappointment is having not bought one sooner.

The jacket itself is as comfortable as any other. The thing that stands out is the large battery which is placed in the back. I tried the jacket on at Home Depot who of course did not have the batteries in the testers or on the shelves for viewing – I was surprised to find out the battery was quite huge and round/odd shaped.

Placing the holding pocket in the small of the back is just asking for it to be sat on or have the cord yanked – not looking forward to how that’s going to hurt the first time I hurriedly plop down into my car seat in a storm and jam that thing into my spine.

I honestly cant believe a flatter lower-profile battery doesnt exist for the clothing.

I bought this puffer jacket at an auction from a store that was clearanced out. I paid $90 and it was brand new with tags and battery. All I can say is when I go outside in the bitter cold I don’t necessarily have to turn on the heat.

It’s just warm without. You can shut the light off by pressing the side of the power button on the chest so you don’t have it lit up all the time. This has been the best jacket I’ve owned for cold weather.

Nothing beats it. I just need a face mask and outer pants made from the same material. I will be looking into the gloves next.

On paper, the jacket ticks off many desirable features. Plenty of pockets, 5 zones of heat, pit zips, powder skirt, rugged shell, helmet compatible hood, media pocket, etc. Most of these feature, however, are just bare minimum.

For instance, the pit zips are difficult to close without removing the jacket. The heat zones at the belly are not as good for warming hands as you might think. The velcro flap protecting the zipper froom the weather is rather flimsy.

While water and wind resistant, it is neither wind nor waterproof – extreme weather will be felt. This is not to say it doesn’t have it’s good points. It looks great and just putting it on feels nice.

The battery is small enough so that it’s barely felt (though it would be nice to access it from the outside in case you wanted to change batteries mid-day). The pockets are plenty big enough for most of your needs.

Also, dealing with Gobi was excellent as they responded to all inquiries within 1 business day. In and of itself, the jacket is not sufficiently warm for winter. It would, however, make a fine fall coat or a good winter jacket with layers underneath.

Adding in the electric heat does help – just make sure that you follow their sizing chart since the elements aren’t very useful unless they are directly on your body.

Unfortunately had to return. My husband thought the front pockets were too shallow. Also the tabs on the Velcro sleeve adjustment at wrists extended too far beyond the jacket sleeve. Actually looked and felt odd.

Other than those two issues, the jacket was well constructed and warm. Those two issues for him were negative enough not to keep the jacket.

I like this jacket. It’s not a cure all for the cold we experience in Pa but I wouldn’t want to return it. I wish it got a little bit warmer but I also wish I’d owned one my whole life because it definitely helps.

The battery lasts about 4 hours on high which is nice. I bought this jacket because it has 5 heat zones vs other brands that only have 3. The jacket is waterproof and comfortable and also published to size.

I would buy this jacket again and I have recommended it to friends. I’m considering buying the same jacket in black but the price is holding me back at the moment. All in all I certainly do recommend this jacket.
