14 Best Heat Resistant Cooking Utensils (2023 Updated)

Surely the true test of a great product is it’s longetivity. We bought 4 individual items in 2002 after a kitchen upgrade. We’re still using them. I think that says it all. Assuming they’re the same products (they look identical) these utensils are a must have for any/every kitchen.

Since then we’ve bought several Alonon products, all proving to be as good and as durable. One thing that has happened to the tools lately is that the metal collar where the handle meets the stem has started to wear.

This has just been in the last few months after 16 years of daily use and washing in a dishwasher. Fantastic products. Ours look like they could last another decade and a half.

My family has been using these utensils for a while now and is quite pleased with their performance. They clean up nicely and have not stained. There is a tool in this set for most every need. I ordered a second set for my son.

I ordered these to match my pots and they are beautiful. They are sturdy and they are durable. But, after so many uses the plastic begins to change color from spices and tempature. So I have needed to replace them frequently.

Gotta love the color and the tactile feel of these tongs. They have metal on the inside and silicone on the outside. The grooved gripper part is nice, works fairly well. except if you need something with “teeth.

” These tongs won’t pick up a heavy pork chop, and they can be a challenge for bacon, but they will work. It just takes some getting used to. Practice a bit and you’ll be fine. The cheery red color brightens the kitchen and makes the tongs easy to find.

Also the different colors could be used for different food items. I use these red ones for meat only. Good product – almost great. just needs more grippy, longer “teeth” to be five stars.

These have great grip on the ends and are my go-to tongs for anything from sauteing, pulling toast from the toaster, or even grabbing spices from the top shelf. The all-silicone body has a strong construction and is so easy to toss in the dishwasher.

As a Sur La Table employee, I am always looking for easy-clean items. I want these in every color, and plan on sticking them in everyone’s stocking this year for the holidays!.

I bought these tongs to remove smaller items from our new stainless steel toaster. We had never had stainless steel before, and I found out that the entire body of the toaster heats up, making it difficult to remove things without burning your fingers (unless the items stick out the top).

These tongs are slim and fit easily down into the wide slots to remove toasted items. The silicon doesn’t heat up, and the small grippers grab the toast very well.

Works really well for many uses of cooking and it doesn’t melt at all. It’s very sturdy and I have no issues with it whatsoever. I’d recommend this to anyone. This will not disappoint you. It comes very handy in the kitchen!.

Well made. Good heft but not too heavy to use for long periods of time.

I’m replacing one that I have wore out. Very handy when mixing. Best I have ever tryed.

I really want to move to all silicone cooking utensils. Why pay all the money for the nonstick pans, right? This set just won’t do it though. The spatula is way too small, 3″ wide at the tip and 3″ deep at the handle.

Silicone utensils are thick so that’s not even large enough to pick up a large egg to flip! (I tried, ended up eating scrambled!) 2-1/8″ at the base. The spoons in the set are both very shallow, and as they are online with the handle there is no “scoop” to them.

Not good for serving from the pan as you cannot get more than a tablespoon or two into them. The large rounded ‘spatula’ is VERY flexible. It doesn’t hold much from the pan to a plate, just says. The actual spatula is fine, but I already had one of those.

The finish on the wood is a wipe on/paint on. The mfr would have been better off to have left it natural as it was put on very splotchy (the technical term for not well). Just a sealer would have been enough.

These utensils are great! I have been so pleased with them. I bought to use in my new ceramic cook wear. Besides being gorgeous, they are also a great quality! The silicone is firm and sturdy, but still flexible enough.

Great set of non-scratch tools which should help preserve the coating on my new pots and pans. They look very nice, but when I opened the box, there was a strange chemical kind of odor. After I ran them through the dishwasher (upper third rack) it helped but I fear it will take a few more washings to totally eliminate it.

Handles are easy to hold, and the set offered every kind you might need. I took away one star for the smell.

They are solid and heavy. I have only used them once since I received them, but they seem like a good product. Definitely much better than the ones I had before which had plastic handles and the spatula part kept falling off.

Knocked a star off because they took forever to get here.

Will not recommend buying due to handle needs to be longer. I cook daily need larger spatulas. Spatulas two small for hands. SIze for young child. Very disappointed in size and price for quality.

Love this set -I like all the silicone products.

The pan lifter from Eva Solo is very popular and the workmanship is also good. Unfortunately, after a few days the wooden handle of the silicone has loosened. However, I was able to glue it back in very easily with a little hot glue.

Lasts till now!.

I’ve had so many spoons. This one here is the absolute best ever. The wood feels beautiful and with the silicone part everything can be scratched out well.

Am a huge fan of Eva Solo equipment. This spoon is very practical and a perfect size for small to medium size pans.

I liked it at first–flexible at the edge but strong with metal inside. However, after a couple of uses, the corner of the metal has started to tear through the silicone. Maybe it was because I used it to break up hamburger as it was browning.

A spatula isn’t much use if it can’t break up hamburger, in my opinion.

I really like these spatulas. I have used them for over 4 months and they still look like new. When I first got them I thought the handles were loose, but that is just the way they are made. The variety in size and shape provides a more than adequate choice for any specific use.

They handle the heat and can be used with anything from cast iron to copperware with no worries. Glad I bought them and recommend them to my friends and family.

After examining yet again the bubbles on the bottom of my turners and wondering what they were releasing into my food, I decided to see if I could find something better. I have a few silicone spatulas, but never had seen silicone turners in the store.

I really thought that they did not make them. However, here they are. I really like these so much that I am thinking of buying more items from this company. They not only work well, but are actually beautiful, if you can say that about a kitchen utensil.

I have used all of them multiple times. They wash well by hand or in the dishwasher. Also, they are very generously sized, so no problem there. Some might be put off by the price, as I was at first, but I am thinking that they will provide value in the long term.

For years, my single favorite utensil was a nylon spatula, flat and angled on the blade, like this one, that I had liberated from my mother. And then a housemate fried it. I have searched on eBay and Etsy, trying to find a replacement.

Finally, after more than twenty years, you have given me one. Flipping, pushing, pressing, stirring, folding, splitting… this is the tool for almost everything. Heavier than my old nylon spatula, but a handle not overly long.

Black, so no stains! This is the piece I most often reach for: eggs, potatoes, chops, mixed veg, breaking up minced beef for pasta sauce… Thank you for giving me back the best utensil ever!.

First off, I love the handle (which is comfortable and a good length) and the material. However the bottom has oddly angular, rather then rounded, corners. This makes it more likely to leave some traces of what you’re mixing/stirring on the inside edge of the container.

Certainly not a deal-breaker, but a bit annoying.

I bought this just to make up the size of order I needed, and boy am I glad I did! I have a spatula by another well know manufacturer but this one is my favorite. It is shaped so I can get into smaller containers better and flexible enough but just stiff enough to deal with bread dough.

I do like this product, it’s well designed and feels sturdy. It doesn’t, however, fit anything smaller than a gallon sized bag. I guess that works, but I thought I could use it on my quart bags.

Removed twist ties that held item to cardboard packaging. As soon as I took it off cardboard the screw/ hinge part fell out and there is no way to reattach it. It is not an actual screw. Looks like more of a pressure fitting to me.

Has other uses I have found helpful as well. I use it to hold my cookbook as well. pretty cool.

I am in love with this spatula. I am a very picky spatula user. The head has to have just the right amount of flex. If the head is too soft and flexible, then you cannot successfully use it to mix batters.

If the head is too stiff like hard plastic, then it does not adequately scrape down the side of the bowl. This Vollrath spatula is PERFECT! I tried the cheaper version of these from this site and the head were much too flexible and flimsy, so I recommend spending the extra money on a high quality, durable one like this.

The white heads are pretty good at resisting stains. I even use it for a batch of tomato sauce and saw minimal staining! Very impressed. The 10″ length is my favorite “go to” length for maneuverability and ease of use.

The edges are very smooth and round which makes for a comfortable grip. The silicon blade is very firm on the sides making it ideal for scrapping while the tip is flexible. The handle and blade are put together well and you can really apply force without feeling any bend.

Great price for a great product. We bought both the 13 1/2′ and the 10″ and haven’t noticed any difference between them other than size.

These spatulas are the only ones that can hold up to stirring huge amounts of thick product without bending and breaking. A flimsy spatula is worthless when it’s this big, but these ones really hold up.

The spatula head really is heat resistant, however it will stain if you are stirring something that is heavily tomato based. Easy to clean, easy to use, cheap and worth every penny. One downside though is they aren’t the most comfortable handle to hold onto if you really have to grip it hard and stir something really thick.

It could be more comfortable, but that is a small inconvenience to have a sturdy handle.

I have all three sizes of ThermoWorks silicone spatulas. I will only use silicone spatulas since they can take the heat without melting or warping. My old silicone spatulas have wooden handles, but the glue eventually wears down and the silicone part comes off.

When I saw ThermoWorks’ one piece spatulas, I immediately bought two. Over the years, they have added two sizes. Now I have all three sizes, two of each size and shape. I also gave large silicone spatulas to my daughter and her sister-in-law.

I have used my spatulas many times to stir chili and curry (or something else with tumeric), and the spatulas never get stained. Best of all, they do not retain food odors whatsoever (even garlic or onions), so I can use a spatula to stir chili one day and to mix a one-pan lemon cake the next day and know that the cake will taste of lemons, not chili.

They do the job well, from stirring soups or stews in a large stockpot to mixing pasta or potato salads to beating a one-pan cake to spreading nut butter or condiments on bread. I highly recommend these spatulas.

These Spatulas (and matching spoons) are heavier and a bit clumsy. I love the mini/small version of these, and I use these all the time. I was hoping for the same with the large ones, but I usually reach for my wooden spoons instead.

In all, it’s a good product, not worthy of 5 stars and barely worthy of 4.

Have had these for about 3 months now, and they have held up great–no nicks or cuts in the edges. I wish the spoon part was just a little bit deeper to act more like a spoon. Heavier than I expected, but it has just the right weight in the hand ultimately.
