Just what the Dr. ordered!!! Especially during the winter months. Don’t get much sunshine here in the Pacific Northwest this time of year. So to make sure my birdie buddy stays healthy with strong bones and beautiful feathers she still is able to get her 10 hours of “sunshine” every day.

As soon as I turned this on, my female lutino budgie looked all around the cage as if she just put on those colorblind sunglasses that humans can get. It was really cute. I knew the sun was good for birds but didn’t know that they are actually “colorblind” without it.

They can see better, find and choose food easier, as well as choose mates and friends with more confidence. My male doesn’t show any change in behavior (he’s always a nut) but my female definitely does every time it’s on.

Something to note: I was only able to use this for one week because it fell and a piece cracked off the end and it stopped working. It only fell about a foot and a half but make sure however you have it set up that it’s very secure.

Thankfully the birds were ok but when I buy a new one I will be putting it in an adjustable lamp instead of hanging from a hook.

I have bought 2 of these from Hobby Lobby and was so disappointed in the function of the warmer. It never completely melted the wax melts and took a long time even melting. I tried multiple kinds of wax melts, multiple bulbs, multiple outlets at different homes.

My conclusion is that maybe the warmer is too thick or perhaps I just got 2 duds in a row. :(.

I’ve had several products from this company (usually bought at local stores) and have always been very happy. I needed to replace one so went online and bought the Jasmine. While I still love the product (how it functions), I don’t like that the dish doesn’t fit particularly well on top.

There’s a moderate gap. While others may not be bothered by this, I personally do not like when a lot of light “escapes” through this opening as opposed to coming out just the holes in the side. I’d never say do not buy it and still recommend it, however, just beware it may not fit all that well.

I used this for about 6 months with no problems. It is really cute and the fireplace part really looks like little logs burning. Unfortunately after being used for about 6 months, I was cleaning the used wax out with a cotton ball and the coating peeled off with the wax.

Now it i just silver metal showing. I don’t think this should have happened. It now looks tacky. Plus it all didn’t come off so if I were to melt more wax in it, more than likely more coating will come off.

Doesn’t seem safe. I really loved this but I can’t recommend it for this reason. Since I bought it a year ago I doubt I can return even though it is defective.

Purchased as a gift for my wife and she loves it. The base looks like it’s wood, but it’s (sadly) just plastic with a fake wood print overlay. I know this because the overlay is already separating from the base, revealing black plastic underneath.

The warmer seems to work well enough, but you must resist the urge to load it up with multiple cubes of wax. Melt one cube at a time, and don’t add more until the first is completely gone. We learned this the hard way so you won’t have to.

Back when I was younger, my bedroom was in the basement; it was always cold in wee hours of a wintry Minnesota morning and I used to turn on a short, floor seated radiant heater to warm up the bathroom while I was taking a shower.

It was a nice way to get the room feeling toasty and comfortable without my parents needing to burn all the excess gas and electricity to keep the entire basement heated. That’s kind of what this lamp reminds me of.

it’s a small radiant heater with a fan powerful enough to blast some heat out to about 1-2 feet away, but I found it somewhat awkward to use consistently as a personal “therapy device. ” Now, that’s not to say it does not provide some pain relief.

it certainly does; my wife’s aching muscles in her thighs and my painful lower back all received a pleasant bit of relief from using the Beurer heat lamp. If you have some sore and aching body parts and would like to focus some heat therapy on the affected area, this actually does a good job.

The problem (at least for us) is that it’s not really convenient to use depending on where you need the relief delivered. For example, the front of my wife’s thighs have been really sore lately after she took up karate–we thought we’d try the heat lamp to give her some relief.

However, the design is such that you can’t easily use this device on that portion of her legs while seated. Specifically, the ceramic heating element only tilts upwards from vertical, so in order to warm the front of her upper legs and thighs, we had to place the heater on a low-rise chair, aim it upwards, and she had to stand in front of it.

even the bathroom countertop was too high as the heat tended to concentrate at her waist and stomach. The built-in timer adjusts from 15 minutes of operation down to 1, but that’s still 1-15 minutes of pain relief that can only be delivered while standing.

Similarly, my pain is centered in my lower back; I’m a taller guy, so I had to put the lamp on a tabletop, then stand with my back to it to get any relief. again, not very relaxing or stress-relieving over the long-haul.

I suppose I could have laid on my side on the bed and tried aiming the lamp at my back that way, but the unit is light enough to bounce around and move out of place or even fall over on our unstable pillow-top mattress, and I didn’t have a nightstand I could reposition or stool I could move into place to get the lamp at just the right height and position to hit my lower back.

I think my misgivings about this unit are partly my fault–I saw the handles on the sides and figured it could be lifted off of the stand and held in place manually. That is not the case, however–the lamp and stand are fully integrated which makes it kind of awkward if you want to hold it for the duration of your heat therapy session.

If you’re comfortable standing up, or sticking an affected limb out and holding it in front of the heater to aim its relief where you need it, then okay; but otherwise, any use of this lamp while seated is pretty much limited to what you hit from 1-2 feet away while shooting up from the floor (which will basically end the heat treatment at your shins or maybe kneecaps), laterally from a chair, or across from you at countertop or tabletop height.

The effect is also fairly diffuse–if your shoulder is the only thing that needs some heat relief, you can plan on getting at least a half face-full of heat treatment there as well. Controls are mercifully simple–there is only one power button and one timer button to adjust the duration of the heat treatment downward from 15 minutes in 1-minute increments.

The remaining time is helpfully displayed on a large red easy-to-read LED display at the bottom of the unit. Although the lamp gets warm enough to provide some therapeutic relief, there are no heat level adjustments for greater or lesser heating intensity.

The unit is fairly lightweight, clocking in at just under 3. 5 lbs–but again, it’s bulky and awkwardly shaped enough that holding it in place by the side handles probably isn’t a viable long-term option–I’ve pictured it below next to a hair dryer to give you a sense of just how big it is out of the box.

The built-in “cord winder” is really just a pair of cord keeper studs in the hollowed-out area underneath the stand, but this does allow you to keep the lamp out on a table or shelf without a lengthy power cord snaking out the back–definitely a nice touch.

Speaking of touching. the lamp assembly does get very warm and the shell is all plastic so it stays warm to the touch for quite some time after use. If you need to put the lamp away after heat therapy, you need to give it some time to cool down and remember to only grab it by the side handles (this might seem self-evident, but the lamp is small and light enough that you might be tempted to lift or stabilize a portion of the plastic stand or lamp assembly as well).

Finally, I measured fan noise at roughly 60 decibels at about 1 foot away with my old analog SLP meter; this really isn’t overly loud, about the level of a typical spoken conversation, but it’s definitely not a silent unit, and there is no way to activate the heating element without having the fan running as well.

As a portable heating lamp, the Beurer actually does what it is advertised to do, but I just don’t know how practically it does so given the physical design/limitations. an adjustable electric heating pad seems like it might be more versatile in more situations.

However, this lamp IS effective at relieving pain and for getting a good portion of your body surrounding the affected area toasty warm and comfortable in the process (once you angle and maneuver the right body parts at the right height in front of the heating element)–but as home therapy device, especially when no one is around to hold/aim the lamp for you, the design just feels just a bit too impractical for long-term repeated use unless you happen to need the heat therapy aimed at a body part that is conveniently situated facing front and at the proper height.

I was eager to give this Beurer Infrared Heat Lamp a try. Besides the occasional aches and pains I’ve unfortunately come to know the older I get, I knew my husband (who’s a trucker) would likely find some relief from the tension and aches he regularly has from sitting for long periods of time driving.

This heat lamp is lightweight, yet well made. It operates relatively quiet, and has a nice long cord. There is a handy wrap-around cord minder underneath the stand, meant to store the extra cord length out of the way; a safety feature.

However, the notch the cord goes out through from the bottom, isn’t quite as big as it could be, so even when the cord is twisted sideways, it just doesn’t fit through the notch very well. The ‘head unit’ tilts up and down so you can better direct the heat, with handles on both sides reminding me of the light at a dentist’s office, which gives the heat lamp an unusual appearance.

The time selector switch allows you to set how long you want your session to last; up to 15 minutes. Included with the lamp is a simple pair of safety goggles, which I’d recommend wearing if you plan on using the heat lamp on your face or chest, where you are facing the device directly.

Also, leave adequate space between yourself and the front of the lamp (a minimum of 12 inches, as stated). *Important: remember to read the User Instructions and Safety Guidelines before use. Be sure not to cover up the vented opening for the fan on the back of the heat lamp, and keep all flammable items at least 40 inches away from the unit.

Beyond treating basic aches and pains, as they crop up, what I’ve been using this Beurer Heat Lamp for is as a part of my nightly routine. After five minutes or so of simple relaxing meditation, I use the heat lamp for around ten minutes to ease the tension in my mid/upper back which settles there, as that is the area in my body where I feel the accumulated stress at the end of the day.

Even after only a week of this routine, I’m definitely noticing a real difference in my sleep quality and how less tense my body feels upon waking. I understand this is not technically the stated use of this heat lamp, but I am seeing real benefits from using it this way.

I will say, in my opinion, that direct heat (like that from a traditional heating pad) is more reliable and immediate for aches and pains. But for some, a heating pad might not be practical for their needs or a viable medical option, so this Beurer Infrared Heat Lamp might prove to be a better alternative.

It may also decrease the amount of medication needed for some people with more serious pain. Based on our experience at home with this unit and not finding anything negative about it, it’s worth a try.

It is no accident that Philips lighting makes some of the best light bulbs in the world! The Philips Ceramic Metal Halide produces a pleasant color with a high CRI. If you still have a fixture that support this Lam, I reconmin that you continue to use it.

Most of the lighting in my home arm lamp Ed with Philips bulbs. To be fair, I also have General Electric and Sylvania lamps burning. This 70 watt Master Color PAR 38 flood lamp produces a better quality of light than most LED Lamps.

I have been using 13W Pl two pin lamps with magnetic ballast since the 90s. They seem to be more reliable than electronic ballast. Keeping up with times is also part of my life. Philips HUE white ambiance floods are in my kitchen.

The package shows a PAR30L halogen 50 watt flood bulb which is made in China. The bulb inside is made in Mexico. From an inspection of the outside of the bulb it is evident that it is poor quality. The sloppy soldering job caused me to have to twist the bulb back and forth to make contact with the socket.

I am hoping it lives up to 1,100 hours. I am going to keep track and hopefully I can review this with a follow up report.

I bought 24 of these to use as basking lights for my lizard breeding business, and after a few minutes after replacing say 6 bulbs i noticed they lit up iniitially but shut off within minutes, so i ended up having to test the entire batch of bulbs(which took quite some time letting them run for at least 5 minutes per bulb) and ended up with 10 bad bulbs out of 24.

1000bulbs was great at the replacement end and i thank them for no hassles. When i got around to using the rest in the lot over several months i had 3 more that didnt last more than a few minutes. Im gonna buy 10 more because there are not many bulbs in this category left these days, and i had a batch of these before that were very good.

If i end up with bad results, i will not purchase again and give zero or one star whichever is lower :).

I’ll start by saying that I always have low expectations when ordering something as fragile as a light bulb online. It was just hazardous in my opinion regardless of the company because they can’t guarantee that the shipping company will be careful with it.

Was I ever wrong. Chewy wraps these things well enough that they even survived a partially crushed box (the guy delivering it tripped, no harm no foul, he was fine and nothing was broken). I have yet to receive any nonworking lightbulbs from chewy from this brand or others (I’ve ordered about 7, both heat and UVB) and I am positively delighted.

As for this bulb specifically, I had consistent and satisfactory temperatures. I ordered the 25w because my hermit crab enclosure couldn’t keep temps in the winter with their heat mat, then the larger sizes for my python and tortoise enclosures.

Great price for a reliable staple to reptile keepers everywhere. I plan on keeping with this brand for my bulb needs and definitely with Chewy for delivery!.

It was broken and looked like someone traded it out with their old one or something cuz it was black around neck didn’t turn on at all. Sucks and I’m ticked beyond. Cuz I spent 13. 99 for someone else’s trash and these guys aren’t letting anyone refund or exchange for anything.

Ticked I have to spend more money for a juvenile beardie that has to share the light with an adult beardie until I get more funds to buy another. Time to start buying flood lights, better quality and much cheaper than these rip offs!!.

I bought several of these (3-4) a couple years ago. While my beardie was in his small 20gal tank it worked decently. Now he’s in a 36x18x18, it’s not nearly as efficient. My sister has her beardie in the same size tank and uses two of these with blue day bulbs.

It heats just the spot wear the log is. My beardie now has two incadsecnt bulbs as well as a CHE and an UTH. This set up is working great for him. My sister’s has two of these as well as a CHE and an UTH.

She’s more active at night due to the higher heat from the CHE switching on. We will mosdt likely be switching her little domes out for bigger ones.

I like the small footprint and low profile for smaller setups. I know I’m going to need a bigger cage for my chameleon eventually, but his current juvenile size cage will eventually double as a boarding enclosure when I’m away.

I’m also fairly clumsy, so this small size means I am less likely to knock the whole thing around. One just has to be careful to stage the basking spot at an appropriate distance, since it will definitely let your animal get much closer to the heat lamp than a traditional wire cage with ceramic lamp.

Bought this for my young ball pythons cage. I needed to be able to focus a small amount of heat to a basking area in his terrarium w/o adding a substancial amount of heat to the entire enclosure and this fixture achieves that easily.

I’ve tried a few other basking bulbs but they all added to much extra heat to the ambient air temp. With this fixture using the 25w night red bulb, I maintain a basking are temp of ~95* but the rest of his terrarium stays at 85* +/- 1.

And at nght it allowes the temp drop he needs. 76-78*. As for the set-up, no parts were missing and it was fast and easy to install. The fixture come w/ 2 ways to mount it, 1st- a ring w/ 3 springs attached to it can be slid down the cord and seats arround the base of the socket.

then the springs can be pulled snug and attatched to a screen top (my set-up) by simply hooking it through the screen. 2nd- For tanks that have a low screen top, they include 3 steel “legs” that can be attatched to the fixture via screws to raise the level of the lamp and or keep it from sitting directly on the screen.

They raise the lamp 4″. In addition to all that, it’s a small fixture. About 4″ dia. and 3. 5 ” tall, so it doesn’t take up alot of space on top of the terrarium or stick-out like a sore thumb.

for the second time i ordered the round/eggshape glass infra red light. The first time i got a flat one in black that was hot after a while without glowing. The second time i got a flat one / heavy thick glass, again not the round one.

I tried to order 600 w outdoor heatlamps ( were around 65 dollars) but the transport is over 100 dollars so i am not impressed and not succesfull with E Bay.

Replacement bulb. Arrived well packed. Harder to remove old bulb than to fit new one.

I am very satisfied with the lamp, it does the job perfectly.

i was initially hesitant to order the 240 volt if bulb but decided anyway. i had it shipped indirectly to my country where we use 240 volts electrcity. i only wrote my review now because i want to make sure these bulbs are working well.

now AFTER USING THESE BULBS in a 4 bulb set up FOR AROUND A YEAR NOW, I CAN DEFINITELY SAY THESE BULBS ARE WORTH EVERY PENNY I SPENT. THEY GIVE ME GREAT SWEATS AND USING THEM 3 – 4 TIES A WEEK FOR AROUND A YEAR AT AROUND 1 HOUR DURATION PER USE , NOT A SINGLE BULB HAS WORN OUT and they look and heat up without any change.

We cannot get the 250 W here in Australia so needed to order it with Sauna Space. The bulbs arrived safely and work well. I found that having 4 in fared bulbs in the tent was far too hot, so reduced to 3 bulbs – much more comfortable and a spare bulb.
