the earphones i received were in a package with minimal damage–the earphones themselves were undamaged and the accessories were still in the dinged clamshell. the damaged clamshell resulted in a discounted price.

i had been put off buying MSA pro earmuffs because of the cost and had been bird dogging them on ebay. anyway, i wore them to an indoor pistol range this past weekend and was pleasantly surprised at the electronic muffling of gunshots.

with cheaper (but still effective) analog muffling in my other muffs, all of the sound gets cut on and off with shots–which can be a little distracting. with electronic, the shots are muffled, but other sounds remain the same.

the gel seals were very comfortable.

Husband loves his MSA Sordin Supreme Ear Defenders…! He hasn’t actually used them as yet but he’ll be using them in the New Year when shooting! Thank you William Powell for your excellent advice & service!.

I shoot quite a bit, and have always had normal ear protection earmuffs. The MSA Sordins blow every pair of earpro I’ve ever had out of the water. I’ve owned and used mine for a few months now and have never had a problem with them.

Their exception quality and sound placement while wearing them is fantastic! You can actually follow where sounds around you are coming from. The sound quality is unbelievable, and at the highest setting you can hear everything including a squirrel s**t in the woods.

Their an awesome product that is worth every penny.

I hardly ever review items because, hey, they work. Big deal. But holy heck these are a GODSEND! While traveling to visit family to see our new baby, we would take breaks every 60-90 minutes as per AAP guidelines to feed, change, and stretch out for at least 15 minutes.

It’s really hard to change my baby in our car so we would often try to find gas stations or fast food chains that have changing stations in the bathrooms. That’s when I discovered my son HATES automatic bathrooms.

The toilets are so loud and frightening and the hand dryers are the same if not worse. So ya know, my heart would break for my baby. So we got these hoping it would make the situation less hell for my son.

He’s an hour into a peaceful nap because these headphones work so great. He doesn’t even flinch. Highly recommend!.

These work perfectly for my 4 month old. They are easy to put on the baby, the padding is very light and soft on top of his head and you can adjust the size. The adjuster I would say is a little on the tight side so it’s hard to get the clicks right if you are in a hurry.

It’s a fairly basic product, no bells and whistles or anything over the top fancy in terms of it’s finishing’s, but I will still give 5 for quality and value as I am comparing to other earmuffs on the market e.

g. adult size ones from Bunnings and another baby one I’ve owned, which was nearly twice the price. The other baby one I tried had an elastic head-band instead of an arch and it was too fiddly to assemble and put on the baby, it was tight and rubbed against the baby’s hair, and it kept slipping down over the baby’s eyes falling off and collapsing.

We should have got these ones to start with! Also happy with buying from Babybunting, they accept returns and exchanges which is very important if you are buying stuff online.

I only have positive things to say about these hearing protectors. They do a great job. And when you compare that to the price, these are an excellent buy. They are very well made with great fit and finish.

I use them all the time for running power tools, glass beading, pounding, and sometimes forget to take them off when done with the job. They are that comfortable. They are so excellent at sound deadening I can block out the world, the phone, and just work in silence.

It allows me to slow down the pace, focus on my task, and not get caught up in the nonsense of a world running at the speed of light. So, I can recommend these 100%.

I bought these on sale for $60. Needless to say thats about as much as I’d want to pay for them. I wouldn’t pay full retail at $120. I had to wear ear plugs underneath the muffs for decent ear protection then crank the volume up so I could still hear people talk.

I even bought the sought after $30 walker gel pads. Yes they are comfortable but for a price of $95 combined, I think I will stick with my $20 passive ear muffs. I forgot to mention, these like to pick up wind noise at the outdoor range too.

We purchased these for our Autistic 5 year old who has noise sensitivity, but is also sensitive to wearing things on his head. We have tried other headphones but they were too bulky and uncomfortable so he would accept them.

Our son took to the Alpine Muffy kids ear muffs immediately with the help of a social story. The soft headband is more comfortable for him to wear. He now asks for his “headphones” regularly. We will be purchasing a second pair soon.

Bought these for my son, and he took to them straight away. He’s never been keen on headphones, despite being auditory sensitive. These are lightweight enough not to bother him. It’s made him calmer in the classroom and more willing to engage in learning activities.

Working in the steel industry is quite noisy. After trying different ear protection and not being completely satisfied, I found the 3E earmuffs. Best investment I made concerning my hearing. I’ve been wearing them on the job, for about 8 years.

Only had to replace them 1x, because a piece broke that allows the earmuff to slide up and down. And I’m happy to say when I go for my yearly hearing test, thankfully there is no change to my hearing.

Had this since 2011. I think it took a year or so until the plastic started coming off around the edges. I used this for sleeping or studying because I have a big family and I could hear them talk through the walls in my room.

It helped a lot, but I could still hear them a bit, like enough for me not to notice. It gets rid of the TV noises. Sometimes it isnt enough to silence my brothers snoring from another room (theres an open window between us though, our rooms are connected that way, our house is weird because its extrended).

PROS: – works for sleeping if you dont mind the bulkiness – silences tv noises CONS: – Plastic comes off in a year or so – Gets stuck in my hair – Too bulky (I didnt mind it because I prioritized sleeping on my back and made it work) – It would slip off sometimes when youre lying down because the plastic was slippery These headphones are meh.

If you want more bang for your buck. I just bought a Clear Armor Shooters Hearing Protection 141001 from Home Essentials Directs choice for like $10 last week and I can recommend this more than this product.

Its a lot less bulky, its cushioned, its sturdy, and the soundproof works so much better too. It really silences a lot of the background noise.

I’ve been using this hearing protection daily in my cabinet shop for probably five years. Not only do they reduce the noise levels of all the various machines I use during the day (some of them are very loud) but they’ve also held up to the rigor of being knocked around the shop much better than other sets I’ve used.

Hearing damage is irreversible, folks: don’t compromise on your hearing protection.

I bought these ear plugs recently to wear at a local musicians’ club I belong to and also while riding my motorcycle I bought about two months ago. They make a HUGE difference while riding my motorcycle as the wind and engine noise are greatly reduced yet I can still hear traffic noise.

I wore them at a music practice in the weekend and it was so good having the volume reduced while singing yet still being able to hear clearly. They are so comfortable – I got the petite size and they are perfect for me especially when wearing a helmet.

Took these to town a few nights ago and they worked amazing! I barely fit normal ear plugs into my ears due to my tiny ear canals but the petite size fits perfectly. They don’t completely muffle the sound so you still feel connected with the music and can still make out conversation.

They just bring overall volume down a lot. Pretty nice that the come with a spare, 3 different inserts and a case which I’ve clipped to my keychain. Quite discrete too if that concerns you. I’d recommend especially if you have small ear canals and find other ear plugs uncomfortable.

Bought the Petite size along with a pair of smaller child size MusicMates to replace a set of original MusicMates (those were good, but didn’t fit me well, pushed themselves out and irritated my ears).

I love loud music but hate the after effects so I always use earplugs. I use them at nightclubs, pubs, concerts and more recently at events like Pub Choir in Brisbane. Previously I relied on foam earplugs.

Well I’m glad I made the switch. These plugs are much more comfortable and effective than the large MusicMates I was using. They are easy to fit without fiddling around and the tab makes them easy to remove.

I tried all three filter types and chose to stick with the black for maximum effect as they achieve great volume reduction without compromising audio quality or restricting speech. The clear were ok, still allowing in background noises, while red are roughly on par with the levels I get from the original MusicMates.

I bought these earplugs to use for sleep and in summary, I can’t sleep in them. I have small ears and have had a difficult time finding earplugs that fit. Seeing the reviews on these things and being intrigued by their unique design, I wanted to give them a try.

What I like about these earplugs: – the fit is great – they are comfortable – I find them really easy to put in; compared to foam earplugs – I like the small case; it’s very portable – they are reusable and washable; that’s a plus for the environment and not having to buy new ones very often – I also like that they block out enough sound to tone down the world, but not so much that I can’t hear anything.

This might not be enough for some people though I love how easy they are to put in and take out. I can be overwhelmed with too much sensory input, including sound, so when I have a headache/migraine and I’m not in the comfort of my quiet home, I can easily pop these in in public.

For example, after a long day and a migraine, I can wear them on the transit ride home. What I don’t like about the earplugs: – they are uncomfortable to sleep in; which is a deal-breaker for me – they are a little pricey for what you get (I wouldn’t mind the price if I was satisfied with them) I should mention that I am a side sleeper, and everyone’s ears are shaped differently.

When I put the earplugs in comfortably, the solid handle bits stick right out of my ears. When my ear is on a pillow, I can feel the earplugs being pushed deeper into my ears. I also experience an in/out suction sound when I move my head on my pillow.

Sleeping with these in wakes me up and makes me anxious about the earplugs going too far into my ears. Hope this helps!.

First off: I shouldn’t have bought these in the first place, based on what I read in other reviews; I sleep on the side. However, I had a period of very lousy sleep and desperately needed an improvement, which the unfortunately did not offer.

I think it’s nice that they supply three different sizes to acommodate different ear shapes. Unfortunately, even the largest pair did not feel like they properly shut out sound for me, regardless of how I twisted and turned them – in the end, I had to use pincers to pull them out, having gotten them stuck pretty far in.

It should be noted that I’m used to molded earplugs for music practice, yet they also compare unfavourably to the foam earplugs I use for sleep. As have been noted by other reviewers, after having them in my ears for some time (in a position similar to that of the brochure and without adequate muting, mind), I started to experience an increasing pain in my ears.

I don’t think I had them in for more than an hour, yet it bordered on unbearable and was hardly fitting for going to sleep. I’ve read that they supposedly grow softer or that one gets more used to them after about two weeks, but I can hardly see how that is possible without using pain killers.

My main purpose for buying them was to improve my sleep. As mentioned before, I sleep on the side. I discourage anyone who does the same from buying these. Even without the problems mentioned above (bad fit and muting, painful use), they make it very difficult to find comfortable sleeping positions; they are pressed into the ear by resting on the side, for which they are too hard.

The refund policy is brilliant, though. Within a day from complaining, i got a full refund on the product, even without returning the goods.

I recently bought the discovery pack after a horribly loud theatre experience and took the ear plugs to two concerts, this is how it went: 1. First of all, I was pleasantly surprised to find that all three sizes fit well into my ear.

I usually struggle even with in-ear headphones but the ear plugs fit really well and are comfortable to wear even with my tragus piercing. 2. So I chose my perfect size and took the other two pairs to hand out to my friend for the concerts.

There was a size for her as well. 3. During the concerts I did not continuously use them. I needed something to muffle screaming from fans and reduce the noise of the music. Which the happy ear plugs did, making it easier to listen to the actual music.

As I said, I did not wear them the entire time because I still had the feeling of “missing something”, like atmosphere, but it was a great relief for my ears to out them in every once in a while. And since they are super easy to handle and come with a small box it’s really quick to put them in and out.

My friend left hers in the entire time and she was really grateful to have them. 4. One downside to the plugs was that it is basically impossible to talk with someone in an already incredibly loud surrounding while wearing them.

But once again, super easy to quickly take them out. All in all I think I need some time to get used to the earplugs. I have no comparison to other brands but was pleased with the service these provided for their cost.

I redact one star because it felt like maybe they were cancelling out a bit too much noise so I couldn’t keep them in all the time. Will still continue to use them.
