20 Best Hearing Aids Under $100 (2023 Updated)

I sincerely believe Eargos need to be available for more people. Let me say this about my Eargo hearing aid. I saw my medical doctor (of 20 years) in June, in Colorado. She said if you feel like you need them just go to Costco, they will fix you up.

My mother in law had just gotten a pair, there and I thought “okay”. So I get back to my state, drop by Costco, they are booked out 3 weeks, but I made an appointment. Then I remembered, my neighbor had gotten Eargos about 2 yrs ago.

So I called and spoke with an Eargo person, he was very good, answered all my questions, was not pushy, just helpful. I received them the next day. That in itself was a miracle as we live in a state that is very big and not a lot of people.

Our “town” is literally a post office that isn’t even open but a few hours a day. So I got them, they are great, the customer service is AMAZING. We were traveling again and I thought – I can hear the music but not the words distinctly.

I texted my Eargo audiologist and she sent me back a message on how I needed to adjust it on my phone, which program and even offered to do it for me. These things work great, it takes awhile to get used to them, but when I wear them, I noticed it did take about three weeks and when I take it out I can tell a difference right then how much I’m missing with sounds.

As a last note, we were back in Colorado. My mother in law now wishes she had bought Eargos and not the Costco brand stuff. She could not believe how small my case is that charges them. Her hearing aids case is huge.

So, I honestly and truly believe I made a very good choice and a smart buy. Being on social security, hearing aids are not covered and they are expensive. Yet, Eargos are affordable and are completely hidden and being in my ear, they don’t get caught on my hair or glasses.

I had tried other hearing aids and researched other companies. Either the hearing aids were technically obsolete in comparison to Eargo or they were exorbitantly expensive for the product and service received.

Purchased eargo 5 after months of communication with a sales person. Eargo 5s arrived. Scheduled a voice call meeting. Prior to the phone meeting, I downloaded the app, charged the eargo 5s and was ready to initiate and sync.

Following the instructions, video and steps, I went through the hearing tests, setting adjustments and details. This process was time consuming. The hearing process synced but the 4 different environment settings never fully completed or synced.

The phone appointment confirmed the syncing of the hearing test. However the four environment settings would not connect, sync, or upload (whatever the issue is). NOW I’m asked by the Eargo hearing rep what phone I am using.

I am informed the Samsung A71 is not on their compatibility list. Early on I went online and checked the operating system requirements for the Eargo 5. The Android OS system requirements are 7 or higher.

The Samsung A71 ships with 10 and is upgradable to 11. Now to the chase: WHY WASN’T IT ESTABLISHED IN THE FIRST SALES COMMUNICATION THAT MY PHONE WAS NOT COMPATIBLE !!! Now Eargo 5 has a very disgruntled customer who has to wait on emails and authorization before a return can be granted.

A company of this magnitude should have tested all major brand cell phones and the Eargo staff should be aware of the compatible phones as well as those phones that are not compatible. Time wasted and $$$$ spent !!.

Got my Eargo several months back. At first they gave noticeble improvement. As weeks went on they became less and less effective. Now there is no difference from wearing as not wearing. Actually not quite true having the Eargos in actually muffles sound when it enters the ear canal.

Also as a note any change in airpressure makes them switch program. So forget riding a motorcycle with half helmet or driving with windows down in your car. Also if you like your music proud and loud forget wearing the eargos.

I cannot practice guitar with them in. Also the eargos interfere with any comunication system you may have, wife and i cannot use my motorcycle intercom system as the eargowill squall and make you deaf from the inteference.

Overall they interfered or didnt work with my activeties i found them less than useless. Expensive junk.

I have been impressed with my hearing aids since I put them on. My ability to hear was much improved immediately. For years my wife has had to speak loudly and repeat herself in order for me to hear.

When I first placed my hearing aid in my left hear, which is my worst, I had to ask her, “Please don’t talk so loud. ” The volume on our TV is much lower than it was before. I no longer worry about the loud TV awakening my wife.

I wish I would have gotten these much earlier; it is amazing the things I can hear now. My wife is looking forward to spring so I can hear the sounds of the insects and birds. She said I will probably be able to hear Hummingbird wings now, I must say I am looking forward to experiencing the sounds of nature as I have not experienced in years.

Thanks so much for sticking with me. The first set was apparently not fully functional. You sent me a new set. Same model but with improved functionality. They are the best I have ever had. I now hear things that have been missing.

They are so easy to use and adjust. The rechargeable batteries last for many hours. Recharging is very fast. I know it will take a bit longer for my brain to adjust completely, but many thanks for working with me and for the greatly improved hearing.

My first purchase was the CIC model. I bought it as an inexpensive trial before buying the more expensive brand. The new hearing experience was fantastic but unfortunately my ears would not accept the CIC (internal canal version).

Being more than satisfied with the Hearing improvement, Consultation with your expert guided me to the model X2 as being easier on the inner ear and worth trying. It was! Because my quite old memory (89 years) could not quite keep up with charging schedules so I bought an addition pair to assure having a set to use.

Not only are the Nano great at hearing, all three sets combined cost less than half that of the standard brands. I cannot adequately express the pleasures of hearing that I daily experience.

Although it produces considerably less hiss then previous brands I’ve used, the hiss is still there, as volume goes up. Although it works well for me, most of the time, I’d imagine not so well where higher volumes are needed.

It would be easier to get batteries for, if the ones that came with it, where labeled. My pharmacist came up with AG13 as a fit and they seem to work just fine. Could stand a slightly longer tube from amplifier to earpiece also.

Overall however it does produce better quality sound then curtain others, has multiple, interchangeable ear pieces and it seems to be of good quality. For the price, I’d call it a good bye. I can hear people speak again and that’s what counts for me.

I liked it, actually. However, it stopped working after using it only like a few months.

I’m a musician and a first-time hearing aid user. I had a hearing test a couple weeks ago at a local audiologist, who confirmed what I already knew– that I had lost a lot of high-end hearing– but I also found that my hearing below about 2.

5 kHz was pretty normal. That means I have a hard time hearing percussion instruments in recordings– i. e. cymbals and tambourines– but more importantly I have a hard time hearing consonants, especially in women’s voices.

I couldn’t tell the difference between words like “fit” and “sit”. In her office, the audiologist fitted me to a pair of high-end digital hearing aids costing $3,700 a pair. As soon as I heard how tinny they sounded, I knew that there was no way I was going to live with those.

I do believe that there is a trade-off between what’s best for conversation vs. what’s best for things like music, but when I saw these high-fidelity hearing aids advertised I knew I had to try them.

So far, they’re outstanding. I now hear all the things in music that I’ve been missing, and I can even use headphones without a problem. I haven’t had the chance to try them in a REALLY noisy environment yet, but I have been in a bar trying to hold a conversation while several people nearby were speaking loudly, and the background noise was not the real problem I expected.

My father has expensive digital hearing aids and is always complaining about background noise. Indeed, when I was trying the expensive digital samples in the audiologist’s office, the phone rang in the next room and it was shrill and sounded like it was RIGHT next to me.

I don’t have that problem with this analog hearing aid. Those digital aids seem to really accentuate the highs, which is why they sound so tinny, but some people have no choice I suppose. I suspect that these analog aids are probably not suitable for people with severe hearing loss, but for those like me with just high-end hearing loss, I have nothing but praise.

I bought only one to start as I was not sure whether I would prefer this model or the less expensive Siimplicity digital model– but after wearing this for three days I’m sold on it and will be ordering one for the other ear asap.

I think I have tried out almost all of the online purchase, preset hearing devices on the market at this stage of the game, and these Simplicity Hi Fi 270 are the best that I have come across so far.

For my ears anyway! I started out 2 years ago with the $600 a pair, MD hearing aids, and then returned them before the end of their 45 day trial period, as I found the Able Planet company, in ear hearing aids, (shipped to my door for $954) to be better.

Even better than the Walmart Simplicity Smart Touch hearing aids, which I also tried and returned to my local Walmart store, for my refund. I also tried the Wamart in ear ones, Terrible! Don’t even bother with those.

I was trucking along with the afore mentioned Able Planet hearing aids for 8 months and impressed with the sound quality. They work by tapping your ears twice to change the settings from 1 thru 4. The problem with this, I found was that when closing my car door from inside the car, or driving with the window open, they would change settings by themselves.

Also when in a loud music enviornment like a bar, the base or drums would also change the settings on them. I got these Hi Fi 270’s shipped out to me just 2 weeks ago, and I’ve been wearing them ever since in place of the Able Planet ones, which now sit in a drawer at home as spares, as it is now too late to get a refund for them.

Just before I ordered these Hi Fi 270’s, I went to Costco’s and did a free in store trial of their, much more expensive stuff (over $2000 a pair), which they program for you in the store, but found them not even as good as the Able Planet ones which I was then using.

To conclude my review, and I hope it is not getting too confusing, I feel that these Hi Fi 270’s for $954, are as good as it’s going to get for me, even if I were to go out there and give $6000 or more to an audioligist.

I like the volume controls turning knobs, which allow me to adjust the volumes independantly, and they can be turned up louder than any of my previous sets. The origional size 10 batteries are still going strong, even after 2 weeks!! which makes me feel that I was correct in not going for the bulkyier looking 270 EP’s with the bigger size 13 batteries.

As well as appreciating music again with these units, I can still hear people speaking more clearly, than with all the others I have used. Thank you GHI (General Hearing Instruments) and Walmart respectively, for the best product and a great service.

I procrastinated for years on buying hearing aids due to high prices, and the thought of visiting an ear doctor several times to get them to work correctly. What a thrill it has been to find the Simplicity Hi Fi 270 Hearing Aids.

The price was reasonable and they worked perfectly right out of the box. It took me about one minute to put on both the Left and Right, and another minute to adjust the volume level to provide significant amplification without whistling.

I immediately heard sounds that I had been missing for years. They greatly improve my high frequency hearing for both music enjoyment and speech recognition. At the same time, they don’t over-amplify loud sounds or lower frequencies.

I routinely work with a variety of loud power tools and their sounds don’t cause any problem with these hearing aids. Batteries last me about 2 weeks, based on wearing them 7 days a week, for 16-18 hours per day.

The only annoyance I found is when I wear my cowboy hat, the brim causes some feedback (whistling sound) due to the Hi Fi device located behind and near the top of my ear. It’s a fairly minor issue that forces me to turn down the hearing aid volume a bit to stop the whistling.

Interestingly, the lower volume doesn’t really reduce my hearing because the hat brim directs sounds down toward my ears anyway. Simply put, the Hi Fi 270’s enable me to hear musical highs, people who speak very softly, and my TV turned down a couple of notches from where it used to be.

They accomplish all this without overpowering the sounds that I can already hear well. I commend Walmart for offering these devices at an affordable price.

This product is working really well for my wife. As expected – and as noted by the seller -there is a period of adjustment to the device (usually three weeks or so) while your ears become accustomed to it, and we are just at the start of that period.

However, we’re really impressed so far: – The sound amplification is dramatic, and there is little feedback or “screeching”. Before using them, she couldn’t hear the television when it was turned up as high as possible, and now has asked me to turn the TV volume down since beginning use of the amplifiers.

– The units are easy to place in the ears, and they’re very inconspicuous when worn. – Possibly most important, Neosonic customer service has been highly responsive. I had a question about cleaning the units, and the video they provided didn’t answer it.

Kevin, the customer service representative, worked with me to resolve it. I wasn’t sure how well the seller would support this product after purchase, but I didn’t need to be. Again, we’re just beginning to use these, but I’m greatly encouraged by what’s happened so far and confident it’ll continue.

The comfort and amplification on this hearing product is wonderful. I have utilizing hearing devices for over 15 years; purchased and used Audicus, Seimen’s,and Kirkland Signature all with professional audio-grams.

The Neosonic’s decibel increase is easy to control and individually controllable for each ear. I use the number 3, at 1 beep, for the left ear and number 1 at the 3rd beep for the right ear. Which allows me to hear in all environments much clearer then before with little, if any feedback.

Another feature that Neosonic provides is that it hold’s your custom setting when turned off or during charging. So much simpler then having to open the aid to turn off, and then reset with each use.

This is my first experience with a rechargeable aid, and I really do like the feature. I wear the aids all awake hours and find that the charge lasts. The convenience of setting the aids in the magnetic charging base is simple and certainly beats buying batteries all of the time.

For the price, many other aids cost thousands, it would be difficult to find a better product.

My wife shamed me into trying a more expensive set of hearing aids. (She has been after me for years). I tried several inexpensive sets and was totally dissatisfied. I told her I would try one more pair and if these did not work, I would go to the doctor for help.

These came earlier than expected (note: signature required for delivery). The packaging was perfect. But the best part was get to come. I put the aids in both ears and was very surprised. Straight out of the box, they fitted perfectly.

I could hear much plainer and was missing very little conversation from about 25 feet away with the volume set on 1. I switched on the tv to a music station and was able to hear the music with the volume on low.

I noticed that I was hearing the high frequencies that I had been missing for years. Just as a comment, everything seems to have a higher pitch which is more natural. It will take a bit to adjust to this.

Also, I can hear myself maybe a bit to loudly. Yes, it has improved my hearing and most likely will yours unless you are almost deaf. I highly recommend these hearing aids.

I recently purchased this product in hopes of having to avoid purchasing a new hearing aid. I am beyond happy and satisfied with the results. The size is so small that it’s not even noticeable. That also adds a nice level of comfort for wearing during long periods of time.

It absolutely does exactly as described and I was actually very surprised at how clear and loud I was able to hear sounds compared to whenever I do not use this amplifier. So excited I don’t need to purchase a whole new hearing aid because this fixed every single problem I was having.

This Otofonix Apex Hearing Aid is so small. It’s actually comfortable because it’s nearly weightless. I didn’t expect to not feel it behind my ear! Also, I’m astonished at the quality of sound. Of course, I cannot hear as I used to.

Sounds don’t exactly sound like they used to but, I can hear things like my children walking down the hallway toward my bedroom. Getting used to it was a process of learning but if you follow the manual on online training video on YouTube, it’s completely possible.

My ability to communicate has restored my confidence and freedom. I feel better about watching television with my partner. Communicating with my children isn’t embarrassing and frustrated. Also, my professional confidence has been renewed.

I would highly recommend this hearing device for anyone with a mild to moderate hearing loss. I have known since a young age that I had a hearing loss but never had the financial ability to account for costly hearing aids.

Pretty decent for the price. refurbished. I recently purchased new SONA models, which are WAY different in a lot of respects. Looks like I’ll be returning the SONAs. I can’t seem to get used to the difference in audio, and I don’t think I like them.

Lots of background noise on both the Elite and SONA!.

If I recall correctly, I first saw advertising for the Eargo product in early 2018. Realizing that I had some hearing impairment (then at the age of 68),the thought of hearing better was very appealing to me.

In addition to being able to attain improved hearing, the design of the product being such that it fit inside the ear canal with no external visibility was extremely appealing since I am somewhat vain and had associated hearing devices with those external “boxes” hanging around the external ear with “old gray-haired people”.

In addition, there were no batteries and the devices were rechargeable. With a 45-day return policy, what could go wrong? I decided to give the product a try. At that time it was the Eargo Max. After using the devices for just a few days I was very impressed with my hearing improvement and the customer service was excellent.

I have been very pleasantly surprised by the comfort, performance and support I’ve had during my first month with the Eargo 6. While I have never worn hearing aids before, I am sufficiently vain enough to know that I only really wanted to wear a device that was virtually invisible.

When I received them, I initially informed only a few of those closest to me that I was wearing them. Needing to wear a hearing aid doesn’t bother me any more than wearing glasses/contact lenses and I’ve been doing that for over 50 years, but I wanted to get a sense of the “before and after” without any confirmation bias affecting my opinion.

Most of my problems occur in crowded situations (bowling alley, restaurants) and I really like the ability to tailor the Eargo to allow me to hear conversations that were problematic. One particular friend of mine (Dan) has a voice which is mostly lower frequencies to begin with, so hearing him while bowling was a recurring problem.

I’m happy to say that I can hear Dan much more clearly this year. When I confided in him that I was now wearing the Eargo, he asked me to share that info with two similarly-aged teammates who also have trouble hearing him! Been wearing my new hearing aids now for 2 weeks and very satisfied with them. They perform exceptionally well for the cost. I paid > $5g for aids 8 (+/-) years ago and these surpass them for 1/10th that cost.

They work as advertised, they provide clear voice, background noise and music and require very little adjustments. Back feed squeal is sometimes an issue but I can also hear the electronic mouse eradicators clicking which I couldn’t hear before.

Go figure. I also bought the protection plan which the value remains to be seen but whether they need replaced, I loose or damage them, I figure I can buy a new pair of these many times over for what I’d pay for a new pair.

Of course I don’t need, to remote start my car or turn on the coffee pot, lights or TV with a pair of hearing aids so these fit the bill and my needs perfectly. I’d highly recommend these to anyone in need of hearing aids with confidence especially with the trial period and refund should they not be satisfied.

After much urging by my wife and an advertisement on tv, I decided to research the Nano product. Finally, I telephoned the Nano company and a simply wonderful and knowledgeable sales rep spent nearly an hour with me detailing the different types of aids and what would work best for me.

After receiving my hearing aids, a family member was visiting and I learned she had has Nano for nearly 2 years and loves them. She helped me get started and I couldn’t believe what I had been missing.

The sound was so clear and the aids are so easy to adjust. It has now been two weeks since I have been using Nano and I truly wonder why I hadn’t tried these earlier. If I have a question, Nano staff is there to call and assist and just to check on my likes/dislikes with the product.

Nano is affordable and with the service offered, I have nothing but praise for the time the sales tech who answered questions and assistance I received from Nano. There was simply no sales pressure and the fact that a guarantee is available is definitely a plus.

At first I was skeptical, but I finally ordered and am very glad I did! My wife and I have been needing hearing aids for probably at least 7 years, but we never pulled the trigger partly because of denial and being to vein to want to wear them, but also because most stores wanted $5,000 and that’s way too much damn money for us to afford so we’ve just been suffering, listening to the TV on full blast, missing out on our grandkids conversations, me not being able to hear her soft voice, and relying on lip reading.

I’d say this was easily the best investment we’ve made in the past 5 years, because now my wife and I can finally hear each other and aren’t missing out on our lives. Sure, it’s not as good as a $5000 pair of hearing aids, these are just amplifiers, but their pretty damn good.

Much better than I thought they would be for being amplifiers. I’m glad I finally decided to take action, because having something that’s almost as good as a hearing aid is WAY better than having nothing at all.

Plus, these are invisible so I don’t feel self-aware walking around with everyone knowing I have “hearing aids” because these are 99% invisible in the canal. The batteries are Zinc A-10 and need to get replaced about once a week so that will cost about $50/year in batteries, but Nano apparently is coming out with a great battery deal.

You can also control the sound with the little screwdriver that comes with the devices. And the free shipping took almost 2 weeks, but it was well worth the wait.

Hearing Assist is not a hearing aid but a boost for mild hearing loss. I have 30% hearing loss and the Hearing Assist does amplify people’s voices and all surrounding sounds. Things that I like: It comes with an app for your phone which allows you to set the volume and fine tune the EQ with a mixer on the app.

You can control volume and EQ on both ears separately. On the app, there is also a hearing test, that when completed can automatically set volume/EQ if you choose too. However, I thought it was too loud.

So I have been working on my own settings. The app also has 4 different modes that you can choose: 1. all around 2. restaurant 3. traffic and 4. outdoor. Their is also a loud sound protection that sets levels so as to protect your ears from sudden loud sounds.

Hearing Assist also comes with different size ear buds to choose from. These are re-chargeable which is much better than having to purchase expensive hearing aid batteries. The charging station is very easy to use.

Things I don’t like: when I speak I sound like I am in a well, this is hard to get used to. ALL sounds are amplified, just like any hearing aid and so this makes it hard to tune out sounds you really don’t want to hear.

This is not an in-ear apparatus and the unit hangs over your ear, so it is visible. In order to work with the app, if you have synced the aids to the app and then want to adjust something just a few minutes later, you have to re-sync again.

It is a little difficult to fine tune to your personal setting from a patience aspect. It just takes many wearings to get it right. I am not sure if I will wear these alot, but I probably will be consistent with them when I watch television so I don’t have to have the volume up too much as my husband is not hearing impaired.

I am comparing these Hearing Assist hearing aids to a pair that I have had for approximately five years and cost $6000. Hearing Assist Hearing Aids cost approximately $700. They come with easy instructions and a Clear diagram of the hearing aid and its components.

Easy installation of the app hearing assist. Once app is initiated and Bluetooth is synced there is easy app guidance as you go through the steps of the hearing test. You have four different programs : all around sound ; restaurant; traffic; and Forest.

Having these allow you to have a choice of the setting that is best for you. The app also gives you the ability to change different settings in the advanced mode. Being able to switch from program to program with the toggle was a plus and great feature.

Fit of the hearing aid was easily adjusted with changing the air cap with the available sizes provided. I feel sound quality is very good for the cost of the hearing aids. The recharging capabilities and charging station are a great feature and easy to use.

I used Hearing Assist Hearing Aids in a number of situations and have tried the different programs: At work I am a Dental Hygienist. The clinical setting can bring many challenges to hear my patients.

Driving my car. The movie theater. Riding my bike outside. At home. At church. Shopping. Watching TV. Restaurant. I like how you can replace the tubing and the earpiece when needed. Cost for ear Tube replacement approximately $10 and for a pack of 10 ear caps $10.

This hearing amplifier is small, lightweight and easy to fit. The volume control is straightforward and jumps withing acceptable increments. There is plenty of volume adjustment for my mother’s use. However, dementia makes it impossible for her to remember how to adjust for various environments.

Brighter red and green decals that have ON and OFF written would be better for a person with dementia, also. The open small earpiece is just small enough for her tiny ear canal, and they really do help diminish squeal or feedback.

There seems to be plenty tubing from device to ear piece, and she can wear glasses with no problem. The price is affordable to her, and she is thankful for the 30-day moneyback guarantee during which she could get adjusted, as it differs from her prior hearing aid.

She is getting used to recharging the unit each night, and it seems to last a full day. We appreciate the square Trade Warr. option. Thank you so much.

These OTC hearing “aids” are a good value, especially if your mild-to-moderate hearing loss is limited to high or low frequencies. Most age related hearing loss is primarily at the high frequency end of the hearing range.

These aids cannot be adjusted to one’s specific audiogram, but they can be very helpful. My hearing loss is in the mild-to-moderate range at the typical high frequency range. I have found them to be useful.

I intend to use them until I can justify spending several thousands of dollars for customizable hearing aids. There are several good features of these devices: rechargeable Li-ion batteries, user adjustable volume controls, RIC (receiver in the ear canal).

Even most of the premium hearing aids do not have the first and second features listed! At a cost of less than $300 and with a 45 day return policy it is hard to imagine that one can go wrong trying these devices.

This ‘hearing aid’ has excellent sound quality. I have high frequency hearing loss so I select the 2nd mode (high). The result for me is natural sound that corrects my loss. It’s very small and delicate so must be treated with care.

This is my second one since the first one failed after several years of daily use. The rechargeable battery feature is great too.

I’m giving this five stars and here’s why: For the past three years I’ve worn Starkey completely in the canal hearing aids. Never really got used to them and, as of late, I’ve only been wearing one in my right ear.

I’ve lost two complete pairs and this was the last one I had left. A few weeks ago it just gave up the ghost. I decided to try this Britzgo before shelling out another $3000 dollars for something that made little difference.

Bottom line is the Britzgo seems to make much more of a positive difference than the much more expensive aids did. I don’t wear the Britzgos as much because of my vanity but when I do the difference is amazing.

I am now in the market for an inexpensive in the canal model. I have moderate hearing loss in both ears. Please keep in mind that my review is based on my own experience and yours may be quite different but I’m so glad I tried this before shelling out thousands of dollars for something that really didn’t seem to help much.

I purchased a pair of the HCR2 Rechargeables in Gray. I have silver hair and black eyeglass earpieces so the color blends well. These are very small and the tubes and cones which were selected for me are perfect – but the company also sent a selection of other sizes.

I figure the rechargeables will pay for themselves over their lifetime. A blog said this sort of battery may last 4-5 years. Another blog said 1-2 years. These batteries can be replaced by a hearing service provider.

Recharge is just like charging a cell phone – easy! Hearing improvement is significant. My wife was becoming difficult to understand and now I rarely have to ask her to repeat something. My hearing problems do not require more volume, it was just the garbling of sound so I use the lowest volume setting with program 1.

I found program 2 helped in a restaurant recently. I had a bit of ear wax debris get up in a tube one day which the handy included cleaning tool fixed. I keep the tool and extra supplies next to the charger.

Value and order delivery and payment security were all just right for me. After a month My wife and I are very happy.

I’m reasonably happy with the battery operated version. I exchanged the rechargeables for a battery style. I’ve used HA with batteries for the past 8 years and didn’t like having to remember to recharge.

When I ordered the exchange, the man I talked to said they would be $100 more than the rechargeables. I said, ” What do I get for the extra $100?” He said, “Oh they’re much better, you’ll see. ” In retrospect, I should have pushed him harder = I can’t see why the battery operated ones should be that much more.

I am not aware that these are better in any other way. It felt like bait and switch. Review of the battery ones: I can only use them on volume 1 or 2. Sometimes I need more volume, but 3 squeals directly in my ear and is unbearable.

(note, Because of that, I am using the power upgrade tubes – they also were provided in the rechargeable package, so that’s not the reason for the $100) I do not hear any difference between the 3 program settings.

I have tested them in various ways and it all sounds the same to me. Before I switched to power upgrades, I was unhappy with the domes that had been provided. One (6 mm magic) was way too small, the next (9 mm magic)was way too big.

I needed an intermediate size. Other than that, I’m wearing them daily and find that I am hearing much better than with my 8 year old prescribed hearing aids. Sigrin T. Newell.

After years of watching and helping my Dad with his hearing loss, navigating the cost along with the frustration of repairs and or loss of the hearing aids that were bought. I’d say close to $ 30,000.

00. Along with him, I watched the same thing happen to my older brother. Finally the time came for me to realize that I needed help too. I couldn’t let myself go down the same path. When Advanced Affordable Hearing offered a deal that I couldn’t pass up, I thought I owed it to myself and my wife.

I decided on the rechargeable HCR2. After years of buying batteries, I couldn’t go there for myself,I thought this to be the way to go. From the moment I put the aids in, there was an improvement. Yes it takes a little time for your ears to adjust, but not long.

Yes figuring which ear domes are right might take some time. I’m thinking of alternating between two sizes. That might change with time. As far as the rechargeable style. It works for me, because I don’t wear these while I work.

I get too sweaty, along with wearing earplugs. The downside, when the charge dies, I have to wait 2. 5 hours for them to charge. Better foresight on my part would help. I think that if I had to wear these from morning till bed, I’d probably go the battery route, or get myself two pairs.

These aids really do work. I just hope they have a long life, so far I’ve only worn them for a little over a month. In that month I have enjoyed T. V. Better than I have for years, and my wife is getting used to me hearing her.

That’s a big help!.

I hate being asked to review products (common for internet sales) when I’ve only just received the product and only have a few days of use under the belt. Issues like durability, adjusting to the use of a product, deciding if problems are user error or product problems, and much more make first-blush reviews nearly meaningless.

So here’s my meaningless review — after 4 days of use I’m happy. The Dia II has definitely enhanced my hearing (I’m deficient in high frequencies), is small and nearly unnoticeable to others, comfortable to wear all day, and is making my family happy because I’m catching most of what they say now.

In noisy situations (restaurants), I can adjust the volume easily and follow conversations far better than before. Minor problems that may be user issues (see earlier rant) is that the volume through my left ear seems softer than the volume through my right ear (when you adjust the volume, both ears go up or down simultaneously so you can’t adjust one ear independent of the other) and the left ear has a little more of a plugged feeling/sound.

I’m experimenting with different domes to see if I can eliminate the plugged feeling. After more use I might give these five stars but for now I’m very happy but not over the moon about these hearing aids.

Cost wise they are excellent value compared to what else I considered before purchasing.

I have to tell you, as his wife, it has been a really hard job getting Gary to wear a hearing aid. First, he says they are too uncomfortable and the sound is “tinny” sounding. Then he says they are too expensive and he’s not paying 3K to 6K for a hearing aid.

Well, we have a friend who ordered the Dia II BTE and was highly recommending them. So I talked him into checking into this. We are so impressed with the professional way you have treated him. The hearing test was impressive.

And now he is so excited to have the left ear hearing aid. It’s so comfortable he forgets he has it on. Thank you for an excellent product.

These are the fourth set of hearing aids that I’ve had. I started with the “reading glass” variety which helped me realize what I’d been missing but soon proved inadequate. I moved on to in the canal type which were somewhat better but very uncomfortable since I have small ear canals.

On to ric technology in a big box store which were better but still uncomfortable. Also, sound was still somewhat garbled from our Bose sound system when watching a dvd and I had to take the left one out while driving due to a whistling noise caused by the air vent.

I put the Dias in and immediately noticed an increase in clarity in what I was hearing. my wife was able to get my attention from another room without raising her voice. We watched a dvd with the Bose sound system and for the first time I could clearly make out the dialogue.

Also when I drive I can leave both aids in. The two Dias I purchased cost me about the same as one from the big box store. very good value.

Advanced Affordable Hearing. Love ’em. (So far) – learned the hard way – Very unsatisfied with going through doctor with insurance still paying 1500. 00. Hearing aids faded in and out, batteries died after a day, had to end up controlling both ears function with one which was a nightmare.

Then being told nothing could be done unless I purchased more as warrantee expired and told I wouldn’t get a discount? purchasing more. Very unprofessional. * Advance was under 500 for two. They send you emails and the manual helps with adjusting them.

You don’t need a “professionals” advice or diagnosis. You have 4 different settings as your environment changes. There is a trouble shoot for just about everything if you take the time and adjust hearing slowly.

I’m still adjusting but go to the manual or saved emails and solve my problem. Highly recommend. I learned about them through my NRA monthly magazine or else I would not have purchased these hearing aids.

Saw advertisement for Advanced in a popular Mechanics magazine, and decided to try one out as a replacement for one of my wife’s high priced hearing aids which was lost somehow. We purchased the HC12 model because of the adjustable nature.

Service and shipping were very speedy. After a weeks trial my wife is very happy with the performance of this unit, although she says sometimes it works too well. I am constantly having to turn down the volume on the TV.

In summary, knowing how well this works, I would recommend Advanced Hearing Aids for anyone needing hearing aids.

Great products! I had tried out a pair of Miracle Ear aids at about $8,000! The Cheer 20 works MUCH better at about $1,200 including the Sonic 3. 1. The HC12’s were ordered as a backup and they are very good.

especially when it comes to the price. The ME aid batteries were larger, and lasted less than two days. The Cheer 20’s batteries are much smaller, cheaper, and last me nearly a week. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

I was looking for less expensive alternative as I had to replace a lost hearing aid that I paid a lot of money for. After doing my research and looking at the various option and models I settled on Affordable hearing.

The device I bought was the right size with the right options. It took me less than a week of making adjustments to get them to work just like my expensive hearing aids. Happy Happy.
