20 Best Headphones For Under 100$ (2023 Updated)

Background: I’ve used RHA T20i, BLON BL03, Sony MDR XB55AP, Sennheiser Momentum in-ear, Sennheiser CX 275, V-moda ZN1B. I was really amazed by BLON though, but the treble were too harsh for my ears and bass is really good, but suppress the highs/mids for me.

I’m a very happy user of my Airpods Max, still uses for music, movie, & PC/PS5 gaming. V-moda ZN1b is really good all round performance. Stay away from Sony. RHA T20 was really innovative good with customizable filters, but not the most comfortable or ease of use.

Sennheiser is just good for the mid/treble clarity. I’m no Audiophile, but really appreciate natural sound and soundstage, listen a lot of BGMs #HansZimmer. My Review: So having tried all this, I’m really happy with SoundMagic e11c (gunmetal) for the price.

This is like “jack of all, but master of none”, in other words, It doesn’t emphasis on any one beat. It just gives a clean pleasing sound signature, really good to just plug in, chill and enjoy the music.

My friends who are casual listeners were blown away with this. Trebles & Mids are very clear and I was surprised with the clarity this offers. Bass is just present, not less-not high (bass heads keep distance from this one).

This is good for movie watching as well. Most importantly the comfort is just so good. I really forgot its on my ears after 1 hour or so. And the build quality of the earphone, wire and jack is so good for the price (which is very disappointing on BLON BL03).

Overall, for an earphone, this blew me away. Cannot really compare this to my Airpods Max for anything. But while travelling or ease of use, I would certainly pick e11c with me always. This is best choice of gift for your loved ones who is casual music/movie lover.

I use this on my pS5 controller for gaming, though soundstage was not that great, the clarity in whatever comes out of this is just satisfying. Also, mic quality is really good coming from such a product.

I’m using for my office calls. Also, its awesome that due to the metal make I guess, each time I pick this up, its cold.

I come from a background with 2 decades of listening on loudspeakers and this is my 1st foray into headphones and earphones (or IEMs). Though I got these for my better-half, I tried it initially after allowing it to run-in (or as is said burn-in) for around 48 hours interspersed by a few breaks.

The run-in with loudspeakers initially stabilises the highs then the mids and finally the lows. The initial run-in was though the headphone output of a mobile, followed by a longer duration through the amplified headphone output of a DAC.

I did not listen much during the burn-in period except for the occasional 5/10 minute listen to assess how things change. I found IEMs no different, The highs opened up early and the lows got a little more taught and less boomy, I could not hear much difference in the mids, and that was a bit of a surprise for me, but out of the box, these have lovely mids and will highly recommend this for vocal centric listeners.

Overall the sound is quite balanced and the mids clearly shine and gives a very open sound. The music included some great stuff from illayaraja, some mix of the early and more musically oriented (with real instruments) stuff from Rehman and his modern churn outs which are more digital sounding with not that good timbre as his earlier productions.

Also some vintage and modern Hindi tracks and rock from the 60;s to 80;s including the usual stuff like Floyd, Tull etc. I have stopped listening to heavy rock in the past few ears, but will not recommend these earphones to that group of listeners who need that extra sparkle in the highs and the depth in bass as well for orchestral music.

These should though do well with Jazz (which too I hardly ever listen now) and blues as it has a good frequency bandwidth without accentuating any particular octave. For someone coming from loudspeakers, I find imaging, stage width etc.

, a far cry with headphones (including open back) because both ears (or speakers) are completely isolated from each other. Within these limitations, I would say these earphones offer a good listen and surprisingly not at all congested unless you up a little higher on the volume, but it does give good details even at low volumes without constricting the stage.

I have not tested it for call clarity, mic etc. though. Overall for simple listening to music that is not bass heavy or extended, these are really VFM and I recommend it. I cannot review on the comfort point as I find any gear that covers my ears uncomfortable after 15 to 20 minutes, mainly because I am still at the stage of getting used to direct ear gears in audio.

On build quality front, I find it good enough (though plastic) though light and the cable (though not removable) is above average. May possibly not take a heavy fall on hard surfaces or an accidental stomp I guess.

Overall very good.

The Skullcandy Crusher Evo Bluetooth Noise-Canceling Over-Ear Headphones, Black, S6EVW-N744, are yet another great product from the Skullcandy company. I have been purchasing headphones from this company since the Mid 2000s and I can say they have alway been a bang for your buck type of headphone for me.

I now stick to the wireless lines of headphones they make, I previously had a pair of Indy Evo wireless Earbuds by Skullcandy but wanted to see how the over ear headphones would feel for me at work. I am overall very glad I made the switch.

Sure the earbuds are lighter and allow you to wear hats easier, but as far as sound and comfort go I think these headphones take the cake. Mind you I am sitting at a desk when wearing these at work so I cannot really speak on using them when moving around.

I really like the simple controls on the headphones! The orange power button is easy to locate and cuts down on the confusion on if you have them powered on or off. The bass slider is a very nice feature that allows you to quickly adjust bass with a simple button.

The carrying case that comes with these headphones is very nice also. You can keep all your cords in one place and protect your headphones from wear during transport. Another really cool feature I liked about these headphones is the app that allows you to see the battery life, adjust EQ settings, track the headphones, and more! I really think that feature makes these headphones a step above some entry level over the ear headphones.

I mainly use these to listen to youtube videos and music. They do the job perfect and I would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for a great pair of Skullcandy headphones.

I’ve had these for a couple of months now and they still manage to blow my mind on just how good they are. I made the switch from some old Beats Studio 2 Wireless to these and I don’t regret it at all, I had no idea what I was missing, in fact I regret not purchasing this brand instead of Beats from the get go.

The music comes through so much clearer because from what I’m hearing there’s not a large/over exaggerated boost in certain frequencies that makes the headphones sound a certain type of way, which I didn’t notice until I bought these, that Beats does.

And being able to adjust the bass to the way you like it, excellent, brilliant, marvelous. It can give songs/genres that’s not so bass heavy a nice little boost for the low end, and songs/genres that are already bass heavy, an earth shattering low end boost, wow.

It’s simply insane and I love it because I absolutely love bass. Now I bought these headphones for two main reasons like I did my Beats: one to listen to music that I like, two as yet another consumer product reference for making my own music, not as studio monitors but for checking how it will sound in another environment/system.

If the music sounds great on these, it 9/10 will sound great on everything else, including the very cheap products or even the more expensive things. These headphones serve both purposes of which I purchased them for.

I love these Skullcandy Crusher Evo headphones. They take my gaming to a whole new level and I can literally feel the bass which I love! The music and bass makes me feel immersed into my games, and music.

I also use these headphones to complete zoom calls. The SkullCandy Crusher Evo headphones are perfect for a gamer, employee, college student, or someone who wants to listen to music and vibe out. The cool thing is that these headphones give you 40 hours of battery life which gives you hours of play time.

Obviously I am a gamer. The rapid charge is 100% true it literally takes only minutes to charge for 3 hours of play. For a full charge it’s only probably about 30 minutes and back up for 40 hours. The audio on these are amazing it’s so crisp and clear.

When talking to a person online I feel like the person talking is next to me or when I listen to music that I am at the concert listening to the band. It is that clear! The cancellation works well too! I do not hear anything in the background when I am in meetings which I am sure my employees are happy about.

It’s also nice to have the noise cancellations when I’m playing my games. One of my favorite thing about these headphones is the tile. I loose everything and with the tile my life became easier no more searching for hours.

The tile is a nice touch to the headphones. Now lets talk about the personal sound auto tune which is such a nice touch and to my amazement works perfectly. I love the personal auto tune because I have a hard time hearing.

It is so easy to adjust the sound to your preferences. The Skullcandy crusher evo headphones would be a perfect present for somebody who games, loves music, works too much (j/k), and for everyone! Multiple people are receiving these for gifts from me and I know they will be screaming for excitement.

Definitely one of the best wireless headphones I have used in awhile.

I’ve tried a ton of headphones lately, and these sound by far the best to me. I generally like flat sounds. I’m more concerned with clear mids and highs and want present but not overpowering bass and low bass.

Out of all that I’ve tried, the Anker Soundcore Life Q30 is closest to perfection, to live performance. They are not bass-heavy at all but can produce comfortable solid bass down to relatively low frequencies.

The tonal balance leans towards the upper mids and highs. Bright but not harsh. You end up hearing subtle sounds in the music that is missing with other headphones. Those who want more bass or don’t want bright highs won’t like these.

But for my listening taste, this matches perfectly. They are also very comfortable. Many of the headphones listed above are not as comfortable. Either tight band or thin band or ear cups that aren’t big or deep enough.

These headphones are fabulous. The most significant disadvantage vs. many that I’ve tried recently is that these are wired. with a long heavy cord, easy to get caught on things. I was looking for wireless headphones.

But ultimately, I couldn’t find one at a reasonable price that sounded anywhere near as good as these. The next closest was the Sennheiser PXC-550, but at $400, wireless wasn’t worth an extra $280. Best of all, these are by far the cheapest of the decent-sounding headphones I’ve listened tothe headphones in this list range in prices from $20 to $450.

Highly recommend the Anker Soundcore Life Q30. if you like this sort of sound signature.

There’s a lot to like here. nice travel bag. Has 3. 5mm connectivity, well built, new Bluetooth format, very good battery life. Now onto the sound, I’m comparing these to JBL Tune 600BTNC, which retail for over $90.

I got these on Amazon with a small discount. The noise cancellation is better, sound is crisper and more accurate. If I was comparing this to a serious pair of $250 headphones, it wouldn’t compare ideally but at the $70 price point, they’re amazing.

I rate the sound of my JBL’s at around 4. 4 and these at a 4. 7. It’s not world’s apart based on sound quality alone but the whole package is much better here, in practically every way.

My friend purchased a pair of Bose headphones costing 280 which I found impressive. I read the reviews on the Anker and took a chance. After setting up graphic equaliser to my liking I found it to sound better than the Bose.

The only thing I noticed was a little sweat around my ear after one hr but maybe all headphones do this. Really pleased with my purchase. Highly recommend.

I bought this headset for the Active Noise Cancelling (ANC). I’m glad to report that ANC does work and works well. With the headset on I can’t hear my A/C running and without it my A/C makes the typicall air whoosing sound.

I wore the headset while mowing and tho I can still hear the lawn mower, it’s certainly much more pleasant and jamming to music at the same time is certainly nice. Speaking of music, I use the PowerAmp app on my Android phone.

PowerAmp has a nice equalizer feature where I did sort of a shallow V shape and that’s great! I tried the bass-up feature and that does work to bump up the bass, but I’d rather just use the PowerAmp equalizer to dial the bass volume exactly as I like.

The bluetooth connection worked great and I didn’t have any problems with having my phone in my pocket while mowing and listing to music. I had no dropouts. TobyMac Light Shines Bright is my goto song for trying out a headset and it worked great.

The ear cups are very soft and comfortable and I can wear the headset a long time. The headset seems to hold a good charge and I can listen for a long time. There’s also a 3. 5mm jack for when I’d like to connect to the airplane jack and not use bluetooth.

The ear cups can be turned 90 degrees and the headset can be folded and stuffed into a small black bag that comes included.

Bought this looking at the Positive reviews. Noise Cancelling function works great. But the build quality is not good and would not last you for more than 6 months. It was working well for the first 6 months and then they broke as I was adjusting the Headphone length on my ears.

Now I cannot adjust the length after its broken and fit is not good, if you listen to it for a longer period of time. Don’t expect this to last more than a year. I expect great build quality and long-lasting for this Price from Anker as I gotten several products from them before.

Have to figure out how to claim the warranty on this. Terribly disappointed with this Purchase and product from Anker.

I have had several pairs of headphones and earbuds in the past. And this is the most I have spent on any pair of headphones, so I was sceptical at first to say the least. My last pair of headphones I had to purchas an equalizer app to get enough bass so I dont have to listen to only the peircing highs.

*keep note I am an audiophile and am very picky with the quality of any speaker or pair of headphones I get. And unlike most people, who just want to listen to music not caring what it really sounds like, I am focused as much on the thing thats making the music almost as much as the music its self.

Unboxing: Unboxing these was very easy and exiting, as yo have a slick, almost powdery(if this makes sense) matte finish with a reflective material consisting of the words and image of the headphones on the front.

From the get-go you can tell they are high quality and well thought out. The box has a door, so to say, that has a magnet to open it and close it. As soon as you open it up, there will be the skull candy carrying bag.

Yhere will also be some cardboard supports to keep the headphones supported and safe. You will get the whole usere’s manual and all that stuff which you wont need because these have some of the simplest controls of any headphone I have seen.

And under everything, there will be the colormatched aux chord and usb-c charging chord. Unboxing: 8. 8/10 Carrying bag: This bag is very high quality and durable and will well protect your headpones from scuffing and being twisted up in luggage or office supplies.

The bag has the Skullcandy logo that is color matched to the headphones just like the aux chord. The bag has the Skullcandy headquarters coordinates written on it which I thought was one of the coolest things ever.

The doble roll and clip is very simple and easy to do to close the bag. The inside of the case is very soft and is also colormatched to the headphones aswell as the aux chord and skull candy logo on the carrying bag.

*do keep in mind that this will not protect your headphones if sat on or accidentally dropped or thrown because it is a soft case, so if you do travle a lot or use them or move them often, then purchasing a hard case will be optimal for you.

Carrying bag/case: 9/10 Headphone build quality: The matte finish is very modern and finger-print proof. The adjustable things (what ever they are called to adjust the length of the headphones) are very smooth and easy to adjust.

The swivel of the actual headphones is smooth and also “locks” where you set it. The foam pads that fit arround your ear are very comfertabole and do a good job of dampening outside sounds and keeping inside sounds in so people can’t hear you music at low levles.

(half volume and below) the foam pad at the to of the headphones is very squishy so-to-say. It’s a very un-describable part and once you feel it you can say the same. As well at the soft carry case, the top of the headphones has the Skullcandy headquarters coordinates.

Also the very top, I am assuming is Alcantara, is also colormatched to the headphones. 9/10 Headphoe usability and controls: These are some of the simplest controls in any pair of headphones. On the left, you have the power and bass slider.

This is my favorite side because of the bass slider. The bass slider allows you to completely coustomize you sound to what you are watching or listening to. For me this is very helpful because i switch between genres of music, movies, and social media.

The right side has the simple indented pause/play button and the volume up and down buttons on the top and bottom of thie pause and play button. Other than that, thats all the controls. Controls: 9. 5/10 Sound quality and crushing bass: These are the best sounding headphones on the market under $1k.

The highs are crisp and not piercing, and the mids are rich and clear. You don’t have to worry about losing sound quality as you turn up the bass. The one feature on these that are on absolutley nothingelse is a dedocated subwoofer.

These headphones WILL rattle your teeth and make your brains numb. They absolutely crush the lows and have the cleanest bass. The bass isn’t muddy and is clear, accurate and tight. These have a feature where, since the bass is so loud, will turn up the mids and highs but not to where it’s too loud.

The bass slider all the way down in no bass at all and turns the subwoofer off completely. As soon as you turn the slider up just a little it will turn it on. At full volume, they will drown out everything.

On full volume with these things off, you can hear them like its your phone’s speaker on about 3/4 volume. Funny story; so one day I was “vacuuming” my house with these on full volume just jamming. I suddenly have to go to the bathroom and pause the music and notice the vacuum wasn’t even on.

So I have to go back after I finished releaving myself, I re-vacuumed the room and a half i have missed. Sound quality 10/10 Improvements for Skullcandy’s next Crusher Evo model: make the max volume a tad bit louder.

Also design the headband a little tighter to be able to headbang a little harder. Overall rating after using these for 2 months: 9. 8/10 TLDR; Get these right now, don’t get sony or bose unless you want to fit in with the crowd or just want to miss out on the craziest listning experience ever.

I am an music fanatic. I listen to just about every genre of music. Love my AirPod Pros, however over ear cannot be beat for best sound quality. Owning for three months I feel I can give a honest review.

I wanted something with increased lower end response to feel as was listening to my home audio system. These are extremely comfortable feel so great on head and over the ears. Then when I connected to my devices via Bluetooth DANG! The quality I had been searching for was unbelievable finally found.

The control over increase/decrease the lower end resopne for the style and genre of music I listen to amazing. Very clear high ends as well. I am able to control most devices from the headphones which I like.

Battery life is really great. The connectivity to my iPhone for use with calls as good as my AirPods, yet still no replacement for their use I also need. The Skullcandy app must have and allows auditory setup like AirPods for hearing infraction, which I have.

Tile is also available so you can locate if misplaced with in a location. Would I purchase again, most definitely and have recommended to both my adult children to include numerous friends. I did get these on a sale and had many points to use so I did not pay the full price, which has made them ever sweeter.

I just did not wish to pay for the much higher end over ear headphones to be disappointed and these have not!.

As with any Sony product the WF-C500 ear buds come in simple, classy and well designed packaging that now avoids plastic so is easily recycled. I have a confession to make…. I’m not a techie………but I love a gadget so don’t want to be wasting time on complicated instructions and was pleased to find the usual Sony quick steps diagram and a QR code that once scanned leads you to an easily installed and intuitive headphone app which meant I could quickly start putting the buds through their paces.

While the case itself isn’t the most expensive looking bit of kit it does feel sturdy and it’s angled base gives it an up to date appearance. The buds come with a choice of large/medium or small ear tips and the ergonomic design of the buds themselves make for a snug fit which makes them easy to wear for extended periods of time.

As you take the buds from the case the voice prompt, a nice touch, informs you of the battery level and connectivity status and so far, whether using my phone or tablet to connect, the Bluetooth link has been swift and trouble free.

And so to the most important part of the review…. how do they sound? While not a techie I do love my music so put them through their paces testing them from AC/DC to John Martyn and the classics. The app enables you to easily tailor their set up and includes pre sets, a graphic equaliser, bass boost and Sony’s additional DSEE (digital sound enhancement engine) option which upscales the audio.

Also included is a 360 Reality Audio format but this sadly will only work with a limited number of streaming services none of which I subscribe to so was unable to test. Having chosen a set up to compliment my music choice I must say I was really impressed with the quality of the sound.

I have a much more expensive pair of headphones [Sony of course] that I can’t help comparing the ear buds to and must say they performed very well indeed. Certainly the bass level isn’t ‘booming’ but this isn’t always a bad thing as often too much bass can change the feel of a track as much as too too much treble.

These ear buds play to the middle ground being neither too rich nor too ‘tinny’. My go to track to test any system is John Martyn’s ‘Small Hours’ and these did a great job, revealing the complexity of the many layers present that allow you to drift along on it’s dreamlike quality, very impressive! I like the fuss free controls, the left bud controls the volume and the right play and pause, they also have a very reasonable 20hr battery life.

To sum up I know these aren’t the most expensive ear buds available but they don’t feel or sound ‘cheap’. They are well built, comfortable and easy to wear, have simple controls, link easily with phone or tablet, have a reasonable battery life and more than do justice to a range of music genre and podcasts.

`True they don’t include noise cancelling but they do have. a good volume level and have a clarity that enhances any track which means you can concentrate on the music and avoid external distractions.

I’m looking forward to spending more time with them!.

Headphones and Ear-Buds likes these come in both Wired and Bluetooth versions these days. Both styles have advantages and disadvantages and in order to see how being wired or not wired affects performance and features, you have to read the owner’s manual whether you think that’s cool or not.

I’m reasonably technically minded but there are some features and operating methods that you can’t find by just poking and guessing. It’s worth the time to get everything you can out of these earbuds.

) PROS: – C500 Ear-Buds are light, comfortable and secure. – Using the Sony App, the frequency range can be adjusted for clear voice or rich music. CONS: – Like all totally wireless Ear-Buds, scratching an ear or resting your head on a pillow can accidentally affect a control causing a phone-call to be canceled or a recording to be paused – No physical wire between ear-buds means you can sometime lose a knocked out ear-bud before you notice it’s gone.

Conclusion: The Sony C500 Ear-Buds are a mid-range design with nice performance, sound and look. Unlike the top-range Sony Ear-Buds, they are not Noise Cancelling, so if you’re looking for something to save your hearing while cutting the lawn, you’ll need to look at the higher models.

The ear buds come in a strong, durable plastic case that comfortably slides into your pocket. I found charging to be very quick and particularly liked the orange glow that was visible through the lid whilst charging.

Battery life was more than sufficient for my needs. The longest period I used them for was about 3 hours after which I popped them back in the case and the battery was topped up. The strong magnets hold the earbuds securely in the case and avoid them being accidentally dropped when opening the case.

Particularly useful at the gym. Tried all the different sized ear tips and found the middle sized tip to be the most comfortable. They fit securely and never felt as though they were about to fall out.

Ideal for exercising as opposed to the over the head headphones that can sometimes be difficult to keep in place when exercising on treadmills etc. The Sony Headphone Connect app was very straightforward to download onto my iPhone and iPad by scanning the QR code found on the leaflet.

The push button controls on the ear buds were easy to use. The left ear controlling the volume – tap to increase and hold down to reduce volume. Tapping the right ear enabled the music to be paused. I was impressed by the volume range and even at high volume there was no distortion to the sound.

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of sound on incoming telephone calls. The music was paused and the sound was exceptionally clear and the caller had no problem in hearing my voice through the microphone.

By accessing the app you can play around with the various sound adjustments to easily find the most pleasing for your individual requirements. Overall I find it extremely difficult to criticize anything on the WF-C500 ear buds.

They offer exceptional value for money.

I bought this product over a month ago as an add-on to a purchase of the JLab Go Air Pop. Thus, the cost was only $8, which possibly changes my view of these as a product. Positive: I have gotten a lot of use out of these.

The main application is when I am working in a public area and want people to know I am occupied. They give the benefit of also allowing nearly all outside noise in, which as an RA at a boarding school allows me to keep my listening to myself while not isolating myself from any possible shenanigans.

Battery life is enough for any single day I’ve used them, usually they go a few days on a single charge with intermittent use. Sound quality is good enough for me. Volume is fine for most settings, but keep in mind all sound comes in, so not so useful in a louder setting such as a school bus.

Pretty comfortable. Very light. Easy to keep around your neck. Negatives: The build quality does not seem terribly premium. For example: the plastic often creaks in a concerning way when putting on or taking off, and the cup on one side slides more easily than the other.

The charging port is obstructed. They are not as secure as many modern style headphones (though plenty secure for stationary listening). The single button control has its limitations – namely that you need to disconnect them from Bluetooth to turn them off or they will skip a track.

While the design is slim and light, this design also makes it a little nerve-wracking to store them in a bag and there is no good way to fold and store them. Conclusion: Very happy with this $8 purchase.

I have gotten a lot more use out of these than I would have thought. I wish I could change the programming of the button and am a little concerned about the build quality, but overall I think these are great.

These headphones are great, producing better bass then regular old airpods while still being essentially open back. the battery life is more then adequate, and while i wish it used usb-c for charging that really wouldn’t make economical sense since the battery recharges quickly with micro-usb.

Commonly not mentioned is that the Bluetooth transceiver in these things actually supports multipoint connection. it reliably connects to both my ipad and iphone when powered on and behaves as multipoint normally behaves on their office oriented headsets.

There are a few cons, however. 1. the microphone on these is not very good, i would not recommend using these for phone calls, anytime you use it you will need to speak very loud to be heard. 2. The multifunction button controls are a little wonky.

play and pause works as expected, but holding for 1 second skips tracks and will always register even if you are holding the buttone for power off [3 seconds]. if they remake these headphones, Jlab, swap “holding for 1 second” summon the assistant and “double press” skip track.

Aesthetically this has been the perfect headphones I’ve been looking out for in the market which offers wireless connection and has a classic retro light and slim style that is not bulky but still has a neat design that doesn’t look like cheap plastic looking that you often get with headphones in the same price range.

It’s great value. The product provides extra black paddings for the choice between headphone colours which makes it another great addition. The orange pops out a bit too much for my taste, but was pleased to find you can switch to black.

Being light it’s easy to travel with it. The audio itself is okay, but it does the job for what it’s worth. Room for improvements perhaps reduce the external noise when out in public. I have to reduce the volume so that the entire bus doesn’t listen in and maybe a case would be ideal.

Otherwise, I am very happy with this item. For those looking for a light, clean classic design and budget friendly wireless headphones this is a great choice!.

It’s been a few years since I bought a pair of NC headphones from JBL. I have an older pair of E65BTNC headphones in blue that still work fine. But I wanted a newer pair of headphones. I always liked the Tune line of JBL products so I figured let me try these Tune 750BTNC headphones out.

To my surprise these are actually better then my older E65BTNC in terms of audio quality and call quality! The T750 are better balanced and have a seemingly wider sound stage. They’re also more comfortable to wear since the ear cups are able to move around allot more.

The only down side is the active noise cancelation isn’t as good as the E65BTNC. Those headphones do a better job of blocking mid range frequencies, it seems the T750BTNC are tuned to cancel out lower frequencies.

Not a deal breaker, but the Tune series is more of an entry level product so it makes sense. The button controls on these headphones and big and easy to locate and find, the included headphone cable is nice to see, this means I can use these with my old CD player is I want to use it.

In terms of hiss or amp noise there’s absolutely nothing! This is great as it shows JBL is improving their products design. Like I said before these headphones sound really good! The audio quality is nice and balanced! Listening to music or movies with these, everything is nicely detailed and I can clearly hear where everything is coming from.

Even though these use BT 4. 2 the audio lag is really minimal this also never effected my old E65BTNC either. The one thing I’d be careful of is the that fact that these headphones are all plastic, so don’t abuse them! The headband is plastic and so are the hinges.

These don’t make rattling noises or anything but keep in mind these headphones aren’t built to be abused. One more thing is the earpads take a while to break in. They’ll soften up after a few days or weeks of use then they’ll be perfect.

So overall I really am happy with the Tune750BTNC I think they’re a great product. One thing I’d change though is for the price is add a metal headband or make the headband from a stronger plastic.

If you are looking to buy headphones and want them to work seamlessly then you are at the wrong place. I can assure you that the headphones won’t work with any of your devices the way you expect them to do so.

I have tested these headphones with the following devices: – iPhone 12 pro max – MacBook pro – Windows 10 – Linux No matter the device or the environment these headphones do not work as they supposed.

As a customer, I expect my product to work and meet basic needs, like being compatible with at least the most popular apps like teams or discord. Let me give you some examples for each of the devices above.

– iPhone use case: The microphone is not recognized in the discord application. -MacBook pro use case: If I am talking on discord and switch to the built-in microphone then the input sound is distorted.

This is not normal and it is pretty annoying. I did not try other applications cause I am not a QA engineer. I am pretty sure you can find problems with more applications if it does not work on discord.

– Windows 10 There is an obvious problem with the drivers here. I am unable to receive sound from youtube videos while I am on a call and the sound is distorted if I attempt to do the above. The solution is to pair the headphones again.

– Linux Well, if you can’t get it to work on windows, don’t expect the headphones to function on Linux. If you want to use the microphone on Linux you need to change the profile from A2DP to HSP/HFP.

However, if you do that, then you only get muddy sound quality. All in all, avoid this product if you are looking for hands-free headphones. Buy this product if you want regular headphones with good sound quality.

Paired easily with my android phone. Noise cancelling mode works really, really well. Battery life is about 12 hours of constant music playing with noise cancelling enabled. The sound quality decent until you listen to anything with any amount of bass.

The bass distorts terribly at any volume and makes them sound like dollar store headphones. Super comfortable and great for sealing out the world and liatening to podcasts but music sounds terrible through these.

Update: OK so I wear these while operating assorted heavy equipment and discovered that the distortion is directly related to vibration. While sitting still there is no bass distortion but when driving over rough terrain is when they distort.

So for use as headphones while sitting still these are great but not recommended for use during activity.

The headphones were simply packaged within the box and come with a charging lead, a quick guide and more detailed instructions. First thoughts on the headphones were they were compact and the headband was hard plastic with no cushioning (perhaps to be expected at this price point).

The earpieces themselves were well cushioned and when initially putting them on they seemed comfortable to wear. The headphones could be adjusted by on either slide by sliding down the headband. The quick start guide is one of these guides that is pictures only to avoid the multiple language issue.

The pictures were clear and well laid out. The first step was to charge the headphones using the charging lead. The lead Sony provides was only 22cm long which is well below the normal length you get.

This made it awkward to charge it. Once charged the next stage was to pair it to a device. On this occasion it was paired with a modern TV. The pairing worked first time without any problems. In terms of sound they were clear but don’t have the depth of sound you find with more expensive headphones which is understandable.

Using the controls on the headphones were slightly fiddly as they are very close to each other and therefore easy to press the wrong button. However having the raised profile on the plastic does help with this and the controls worked as they were intended.

Pairing was also tried with an iPhone with no problems and music was a reasonable balance of bass and treble. In conclusion, the headphones are fine for basic listening to either the TV or music and are a reasonable quality for this price point.

The wh150 are a solid pair of headphones. They are light and comfortable – wearing them for for several hours is no problem. The sound quality good for music and for podcasts and meetings. Whilst not noise cancelling the pads fit well – enough to cancel out the office levels of background noise without needing to ramp up the volume.

The battery life is amazing. the claimed 35 hours appears to be accurate. These really could be heavily used all week on a single charge. The Bluetooth connection has been solid and remains connected.

There is a small light which flashes when on and connected but luckily the battery life is so good it hardly matters if you remove them and forget to turn off. The buttons peform usual functions but in some ways are to similar feeling to remember which is which.

On the negative side there is no bag of any kind, which would be nice to protect the headphones when not in use. The microphone seems very sensitive to mouse and keyboard – picking up others typing across the room.

This can be distracting (or at least make you self conscious in a meeting). Given the price these are a great pair of Bluetooth headphone with excellent battery life and from a top brand.

Initial outlook: Be careful removing these from the packaging as the materials are extremely chintzy , light and seemingly “hollow”. The plastic look and feel of these definitely reminds me of a handful of bad amazon purchases of no-name brands.

Handling them didn’t give me much confidence. Pairing: pairing these were easier than usual, as you turn them on and quickly hear the pairing prompt. It feels like it aggressively pairs as it listed itself very immediately to all of my devices.

Simply hit pair and its good to go, as it also informs you very clearly of a successful pair. Audio: The audio quality was surprisingly good and loud. The cups seem to block out just enough noise to make listening more efficient.

Reasonable bass as well considering the price. These get LOUD- as I never had to come close to raising the volume full spec. Fit: The fit my head well and I have a huge head. The cups rotate but the rotation is not equal in both directions.

If you feel a light pinch, tilt the top of the headphones (the headband) towards the front of your head, the cups rotate to conform and the pinch is reduced greatly for extended listening sessions. The cups do not cover the entire ear for a full grown adult.

Overall: I recommend these at the $40 price point. The materials feel cheap, so be careful. I wouldnt buy these for a child. Additionally, these do not fold in any direction- the headband and the cups do not have hinges at this price.

Attempting to fold will definitely break them. Very easy to use and switch between devices. Solid quality, loud and decent bass. I really enjoy these as a work or leisure headset, around the house, etc.

I wouldn’t use these for kids or at the gym. ✅Recommend!!.

I didn’t have any high expectations for these headphones. Although I’m coming from a pair ‘high-end’ headphones, I must admit that I know very little about them. So, if you are looking for a technical examination of this product – I am not the ideal person to give this.

If you just want a straight-forward review then keep reading. To begin, the headphones do work. The audio is good, in fact they sound better than I had expected at this price point. The sound is clear, rich and has a sensible level of bass for the price.

They’re nicely put together, they fit comfortably over the ears, can be folded flat for storage. Another added bonus is that these have a tangle-free cable on the. Those are the basics. I wanted decent sounding headphones that are comfortable while watching videos, listening to an audiobook and making calls for my job.

I work from home, and use these headphones to communicate with my colleagues on Microsoft Teams. They do a decent job. None of my colleagues have complained about the quality of the microphone compared to my previous pair.

For what you’re getting at this price I can’t really complain.

The sound quality is impressive for the price. These are on the ear headphones, not over the ear. So, passive noise isolation won’t be as good. However, they are quite comfortable. I could easily wear these for a couple hours while watching a movie.

The physical size of the headphones make them a good choice for children. Sure, they aren’t brightly colored, but I’m willing to bet the sound quality and price are much better than you’d pay for a branded set of crappy headphones.

Also, I was surprised at the quality of the cord. I was expecting a thin, cheap cord. It’s actually fairly thick and tangle resistant. Only complaint I have — I wish the cord connected at a single point, rather than running to each ear piece.

But, again, for the price they’re darn good quality. Update: I’ve now used these headphones several times on the treadmill. I like them even more now. When running, you’ll occasionally run into a set of headphones with a seriously flimsy cord.

As you run, a flimsy cord will bounce and become seriously annoying. These don’t do that at all. I love how the solid cord just hangs with minimal movement. Also, the ear pads will get a bit sweaty, but nothing a quick wipe won’t rectify.

I’ll let you know how they hold up for exercise use.

was on a trip needed a pair of headphones cause I lost my AirPods and passed by Walmart and got these. These headphones are the way to go. Not overpriced and my favorite part is the battery life. Thing never died on me.

I was on the trip for 3 days with the headphones barely charged them. Some days I didn’t charge it and it didn’t die until after a few days I got home. Charges super super fast, battery life super super long.

Sound quality is great. Love the thing so much. Had a great time with it until I gave it to my sister after finding my AirPods and my brother bought it off her for 40$ smh could’ve made easy bank it’s whatever tho.

This was my first time buying JBL, I went for it because the brand had very positive reviews. I bought it for Christmas and it was working perfectly for the first 4 weeks, then randomly from a minute to another the right earbud went very faint, then completely silent.

I tried everything that was recommended but nothing worked. Being very disappointed I took it for repair under the warranty where I was told they didn’t fix these models as they were ‘not worth fixing’ so I was given a new one.

It hadn’t been 2 weeks yet and the exact same happened! First the music suddenly sounds like it’s coming from a tunnel, then the right earbud goes completely muted. Not that all these matter when you have to keep sending it for repair every other week but the sound was amazing though while it was working, it was comfy to wear and the battery life was decent.

I suspect it must be only a model defect, however I’m beyond disappointed as I had high hopes for JBL. I’m sorry I don’t think I will buy again or would recommend it to anyone at all.

I bought these headphones when my old ones broke. I was excited at first as the audio quality when listening to music is outstanding. Then Monday rolled around and I needed to use these headphones for their main purpose- online meetings.

These bluetooth headphones come with a mic and a hands-free mode intended for using the mic and earphones at the same time. However, the audio quality is abysmal, quite literally impossible to understand anything that is said, as it really is little more than distorted static.

After much research online, I have found that this is a known problem with this model of jbl headphones. I did not buy a dud pair, the model is a dud. From what I have seen online, JBL has known about this issue since 2016 and have decided to do absolutely nothing about it.

Hopefully, I can get a refund for these useless headphones, otherwise I’ve wasted a lot of money on a brand that I used to regard as high quality. Very dissapointed.

If you need headphones that hold up to abuse, don’t buy these. If you want excellent sounding headphones you can wear for long periods of time without much discomfort, these are awesome. I use them for my video editing lab as a school teacher.

I have to replace 3-5 of these units annually as students can be hard on them, but they’re cheap enough that replacement costs are relatively low. I’ve bought more heavy duty headphones for school use, but the students break those too, and they are annoying to wear for long periods of time.

In short, these are lightweight, sound great, and a really good value.

This review is for the irritatingly named “Monoprice Hi Fi Lightweight Solid Bass Clear and Articulate Acoustic On Ear Headphones with In Line Controls and Built In Microphone”, since I can’t tell by the product page if Home Essentials Direct differentiates between reviews of this and the over-ear model.

I somehow managed to get them for $18 here, which is only $3 more than what Monoprice charges on their site. Similar to others here, I liked what CNET had to say about them and the price was definitely right.

Also my old Klipsch Image S4 earbuds were literally electrocuting my ears any time I moved, so yeah. Those earbuds, side note, are what I had to compare these against, but they were also CNET-recommended years ago for whatever that’s worth.

First of all, and because people have complained about build quality, they’re only $15. At that price point, most people would be okay with (nay, *expect*) a cheaply made product, and would probably enjoy terrible sound quality as well.

But these actually sound *good*. So I think we can, at the very least, marginalize that aspect of these headphones. Better construction would mean a higher price, and that would take away the key advantage of these headphones: the value.

In terms of sound-reproduction they definitely impressed me. I have a decent HiFi setup at home, the components of which I’ve also reviewed on Home Essentials Direct (if anyone’s interested); these ‘phones obviously weren’t able to create as satisfying of a performance as my stereo, but they actually didn’t do anything wrong by comparison.

Going from top to bottom, the highs are nicely detailed without being harsh or fatiguing. Nothing “crunchy” or brash like most cheap (and even some mid-tier) earbuds have. Mids are decent and don’t draw attention to themselves.

I would have preferred a little more warmth/richness, but that’s technically a coloration and I wouldn’t consider its absence an objectively bad thing. Lows are surprisingly well done compared to what I was used to with the Klipsch earbuds.

The bass on those was understandably weak, given that they’re so small and inexpensive. Which is why the Monoprice headphones pleasantly surprised me by being plenty noticeable and low. It’s not sloppy and it’s not excessive; it feels well weighted in terms of its place in the sound profile.

Overall, the sound quality was satisfying, non-fatiguing, and definitely good for the price. I would give it 5 stars for value any day, and probably 4 for sound quality altogether. The only issue I had was a left-right imbalance where vocals would seem to be centered closer to one ear than the other.

Maybe it’s because I wear glasses (which also makes listening for more than 30 minutes painful – how do people do it??) or maybe it’s the nature of “on-ear” ‘phones and the lack of a legitimate seal.

Regardless, it was noticeable enough be a little annoying at times. I feel that the discomfort related to my glasses (however irritating) is a personal problem, so it didn’t factor into my rating. All things considered, these are an insanely good deal and I would absolutely recommend them to anyone who has reasonable expectations for build quality, a desire for better-than-average sound, and a tight budget.

EDIT 03/12/2016: The inline mic is very annoying if you wear shirts with collars.

I purchased these at Walmart: I’ve had these headphones for years and the material that covers the ears is just now starting to come undone. They’re long lasting battery-wise, at least 4-5 days without being charged and that’s using them all day sometimes.

The quality is amazing and the sound is unbelievable. I paid $50 for these and they’ve lasted longer than some other brands that were supposed to be just as good and more expensive. I will be buying these again this Christmas.

Bought these a couple years ago (paid 60 USD on Target), and for that price, 100% not worth it. And I add that not even for the price they are being sold today (30 USD) is worth it. Highly unconfortable (really hurts the top of your head due to no cushioning at all), ear cushioning is OK, hasn’t ripped, but ends up hurting your ears after 30 minutes of use.

Sound quality definitely doesn’t feel 60 dollars, had way better for way cheaper. Also, no bass at all.

So, I’m going to start with the summary of this product, and that I really like these headphones, despite the negatives below. Why, well basically because I didn’t pay the 70 RRP for them! If I’d paid full price for these I think I’d be very dissapointed.

You can get these for around the 40 mark, which puts them in the same price range as the JBT 450BT and JVC HA-S30BT and I think that’s where they should be They’re pretty much an all plastic contruction, and the ear cups rotate through 90 degrees, which Sony describe as ” A swivel folding design makes it easy to store them when not in use or while traveling.

The earcups swivel flat for easy packing in a suitcase or slipping into a bag. ” The problem here, is they don’t feel all that sturdy, and don’t fold, so I always worry when storing them in my bag, that when I come to take them out next, they’ll have broken.

I suspect most sub 50 Bluetooth wireless headphones have the same issue, which is why I don’t believe the Sonys merit a 70 price tag. The outer of the cups seems to scratch all too easy too. Sound wise, having compared them to the JVC’s mentioned earlier, I find the sound clearer.

They also fit better, the JVC’s being quite tight. The JVC’s try and give a punchier bass, but overall I prefer the sound range of theSony’s I’ve not had any issues with connectivity, to either my iPhone, iPod or Android tablet.

Battery life isn’t that great though compared with the JVC or JBL’s. Sony say battery life is 8 hours, where as JBL claim 11 hours, and the JVC a massive 17 hours So, despite the negatives, I am happy with these headphones.

At circa 30 they’re great. Any more that 50 and I’d suggest looking for alternatives, as at that price point they really don’t represent value for money.

Just received these today (Nov 18 2021). Bought them to use with a small mp3 player for audiobooks. Seems to be okay for the price point, but don’t expect the world in regard to design. The headband is all plastic and doesn’t have a lot of “”””””””give”””””””” sideways.

It is “”””””””adjustable”””””””” as to “”””””””length”””””””” from ears to top of head. I think those with larger heads would have a problem with these. The wires that connect from headset to device are very thin – so I don’t think they will last all that long.

The sound is adequate for my needs – I won’t be listening to music. (Update edit: I listened to some jazz via my laptop and it sounded pretty good; nice stereo separation). I’m going to be very careful when I use them and hope they work for a while.

I understand I bought a “”””””””cheap”””””””” product, but I had a similarly cheap headset from more than a decade ago that was very well made name-brand, had great sound, and only just recently died.

It’s a shame that all of these recently manufactured cheap headsets are under well-known brand names where quality used to be a given, but there you have it.

Perfectly adequate sound. Anything this cheap and light weight is going to be fragile – so take care. Sit on them and they’ll break. A little duct tape & ingenuity and you’re in biz again. Think about the wire length.

This is a common length, but longer would be better for me. Extensions are cheap though. One GOOD point is no mechanical inline volume or on/off control to break. Those things don’t last – and good luck trying to splice tiny wires to bypass them.

I LOVE these headphones! I got a pair for free on a flight a few years ago, and they finally gave out. ACTUALLY THEY DIDN’T STOP WORKING, BUT THE EARPIECE AND UPPER PART WOULD DETACH AND I’D HAVE TO PUT THEM ON VERY VERY CAREFULLY WITH A FEW PIECES STICKING OUT HERE AND THERE.

DEFINITELY NOT THE BEST LOOK IF YOU’RE WEARING THEM OUTSIDE EVER. This happened after I’d repeatedly thrown them in my pocketbook with about 50 other things. Definitely my fault! Anyway I sent away for a more expensive pair (about $20) from a different manufacturer, and they didn’t have nearly the clear, or crisp full sound as these.

I sent them back and crossed my fingers that these would be as good as my old ones, and happily they’re exactly the same! I did remove the ear pads, as I had with the original ones, as I like the sound much better.
