Good: The positional audio is decent, and the microphone works. and they’re wireless, with rechargeable battery. AKA they do what they absolutely have to to meet the criteria on the box. Bad: Worst sounding headphones I’ve tried in the last 15 years.

I’m only giving them 2 stars because they function properly. Yes, they will get you by and yes they are cheap. But for a gaming headset, especially for a flagship next-gen system, I’m shocked that Sony put their branding on these.

The sound quality is incredibly muddy. So much that they’re more distracting than useful in games like COD Warzone because the midrange is so muddy and the bass is so bloated. Can’t hear enemy footsteps unless you turn them up really loud, but then your gunfire or enemies hitting you is so loud that it’s shocking.

Treble is also cut off at what seems like 16khz so they’re far from full-range. Ultimately, if you have a choice in buying ANY other set of headphones to use for gaming, go with another option. If you can’t afford a $300 pair right now, then save your money for another couple weeks to get a better set because you’ll regret buying this hunk of trash.

I have zero complaints about the audio quality. The 3D sound effects in my PS5 games are a game-changing experience, and I can’t go back to using my TV speakers after experiencing this. While some may not like the fact that the battery life is rated at just 12 hours (probably less in real world conditions), my play sessions are not long enough for this to be a problem.

I also love how the mic is integrated into the structure instead of being an “arm” like on most headsets. It looks cool and also means the mic won’t accidentally dip into my food if I eat with the headset on.

However, as a PC/Mac headset, the Pulse 3D leaves a lot to be desired for the following reasons: – It does not have Bluetooth, so if you want to use it wirelessly with both your console and your PC/Mac, you will need to move the USB receiver between those devices.

– If you decide to use it as a wired headset using the 3. 5mm jack, the built-in controls are disabled, so you’ll need to use your PC/Mac settings to adjust the volume. – The wireless range is extremely short.

If I’m in a work call, I can’t venture too far from my desk without the audio cutting off. Simply walking out of the room immediately breaks the connection In terms of ergonomics, the Pulse 3D headset is just ok.

I appreciate the presence of the physical controls, but the way they are designed makes “blind” operation a bit tricky. The volume rocker and chat/game rocker have the exact same shape, so if you don’t remember their positions, you’ll find yourself hitting the wrong switch very often.

The ear cups are comfortable, but I find that they press against my glasses a little too hard. Overall, as a PS5 headset, this gets the job done, but only as a PS5 headset. I do not recommend using it on any other devices.

The Xbox Wireless Headset (which I also own) is much better if you also wish to connect to a phone or a PC/Mac.

It took me a while to warm up to these headphones after using a cheaper wired alternative that I had ben used to. after becoming more accustomed to the sound profile I can recommend these – particularly for their clarity (at least from my perspective).

In FPS games the footsteps are very clear and precise with great directionality – in single player games like God of War or Ghost of Tsushima, the range and precision is very good. Build quality looks fine with decent ergonomics on mute/volume buttons on the left side.

Could be fiddly for a while until yo get used to them but overall there are no issues. A warning though – The cups are not the biggest in the world and the fit for my jug ears is quite snug. I haven’t felt overly hot or sweaty or uncomfortable but I tend to not use them for longer than 2 hours each session.

Overall a great companion for your PS5 if you’ve been lucky to grab one.

I went to the store to get this item with my dad and whenever I plug it into my Nintendo Switch, you have to jiggle around the wire in order to get sound in both ears. It’s very inconvenient and sometimes happens in the middle of a game.

Whenever I try to lay in my bed to play my Switch with these headphones on, it’s practically impossible to get audio in both ears. The cord for it is really, really short, and I get that it was intended for Switches, but I still have other things to use it on so that’s very disappointing, too.

I had to end up using this weird cord that sort of extends the length, but that doesn’t come with the headset and I was lucky to have it in the first place. You could hardly call the microphone working.

My friends can’t hear a single thing I say and I keep cutting out. The microphone does work, it’s just completely unusable because you need to scream in order for anyone to hear you, which also doesn’t work.

If you’re by some miracle able to manage both ears to output audio, the sound is pretty high quality, but that left ear will consistently cut out, especially if your switch is in handheld mode. Not worth the 20 bucks, even if you aren’t using it as a headset, because it falls flat as regular headphones too.

Barely deserves the respect of a single star rating.

Let me start off by saying my kids absolutely love this Nintendo switch brand headphone ! Not only are they Nintendo brand BUT they are the perfect matching colors to match their switch ! So they are just Perfect ! Let’s not forget how great they work too ! The sound of the game and voice of online friends talking are really clear and when I ask the other end how we sounded they said we were completely clear with no static at all.

we also ask if there is any lagging and there is none at all not even by a second …and both of those factors are very important in gaming. they are wired we would prefer wireless but that’s not too big of a problem most switch headphones are …we love that you can just switch up the mic that goes to your mouth to turn them on or off that’s very convenient quick and easy to do especially when your in a serious game or match …so our review is if you are in the market to buy gaming headphones then definitely look into buying these they work great and we give them a thumbs up ! We definitely recommend them but don’t take our word for it go out buy them and try them out for yourself.

The features on these headphones are top notch & the quality is outstanding. They are super comfortable & I’m able to wear them for hours without any discomfort or cheap parts poking me. The sound quality perfect especially when comparing it to some of the most expensive gaming headsets out there.

Playing war like games I can hear every footstep as well as the bass in the shots fired and extra background noise. The mic feature extends easily and I am heard nice & clear by others. I’ve never had any bad interruptions from the headset.

The wire extends a good length so if you get excited like myself & jerk back the wire is long enough not to send them flying off your head. Great gaming headset!!.

Pros: Overall good sound. Compatible with PS4 Pro Cons: Battery life is subpar given the $150 price tag on these. Build quality is a 3/5 (same comment as above, subpar) Ear cups not as soft/comfy or seals nearly as well as my $60 Tao Tronics.

They need a dongle perpetually connected to PS (why in the world would Sony not allow it to connect like any usual/standard/logical Bluetooth electronic without annoying dongle). In short, good sound but definitely not worth the price.

These are very good headphones, high quality, fit well, good 3-D sound with good adjustments. However, it seems to be a fairly well known problem that the USB Bluetooth wireless connection fails after some time, meaning you can only use them wired to the controller or phone you’re using.

The worst part is Sony offer no support, replacement or repairs for this and prefer to refer users to a circular path of website support.

Replacing a worn out PS Gold headset. The band is much tighter and it hurts my ears – I’ve been stretching the phones on a ball when not wearing which helps. Most importantly, the spatialisation is far, far worse than the VSS in the Gold headset.

Apex Legends sounds unclear and claustrophobic. Really disappointed as I was hoping for an improved sound stage and got an inferior one. Ear cups are also the same pleather of the Gold’s so they’ll disintegrate at some point.

This headset has a very poor sound distribution design on the drivers. The Base/Sub only applies to the front speakers because of that the sound of the rear speakers is very weak even on max volume you barely can hear them.

I bought them believing I could compare them to my other headset the *Sades 908* which also has dedicated drivers as this one, and looks almost the same, but I was wrong. You can use them only as stereo headset with its strong base/sub, but don’t bother with its surround sound features it doesn’t work properly on those “games” that have sound precision features.

If you want a headset that has a proper distribution of sound on all its drivers/speakers get the *Sades 908* not this one. In conclusion the Somic VC E95X should cost 30$ or below because of the poor design on the drivers/speakers.

It’s not worth at higher prices.

Before purchasing this headset I had the same one previously and I loved it, so I was on the hunt for another and found this one. The headset itself has great sound and mic quality. Also if you love bass, then you’ll love the vibration on this headset (which can be turned off btw) – The one and only issue I have ever had with the G941 is that the vibration is on by default and you need to press the button every time you turn the PC on to turn it off (would have prefered a switch to turn it off and keep it off) I’m giving this a 5 star for three reasons: 1: The headset is perfect for me as I use it for gaming and talking on Discord.

2: The price is low 3: It was delvered a week earlier than expected (estemated date of delivery: Monday, 30. Apr 2018 – Thursday, 3. May 2018 // It came yesterday Tuesday 24 Apr 2018).

The price of this grip compared to a Nikon made me nervous. However, it works and feels great. It’s secure, fits well and is comfortable. Everything works and the camera reads the battery level just find.

This is my first time buying from HyperX and it was hyped up to me by some friends but this headset just wasn’t it. The audio quality is okay. The 3D aspect is good, but apparently the microphone is awful on the other end.

I also get this strange echo thing for spans of time where I hear my own voice. Its not too distracting, but its definitely present. I would not buy this headset again, I’d probably put my faith in something a little more expensive because this can’t be what my friends hyped up.

Had these quite a while now and the sound quality is amazing. Super comfortable, no effort setting up. Only issue is the microphone. Literally everything but the microphone is good. If you plan on using the mic I probably wouldn’t get this because of that sole reason.

I like this headset a lot. The cable is nice and long for those who are sitting a bit further from their PC. I personally only use it with the USB in my old PC and on my laptop. I must admit that it’s showing it’s first cracks of getting broken (have had it for more than 2 years at this point probably and I’m not specifically careful with it).

The fit is comfortable and the audio is good enough for gaming. I’ve never had any complaints about my microphone sounding bad.

Hands down my favorite headset of all time, I’ve had a previous pair of A40s many years ago and upgraded to the A50s. Eventually I got tired of wireless and went back to the A40s. The sound quality is amazing, as well as the mic quality.

The MixAmp Pro provides so many options for sounds when you make use of the Astro Command Center on PC, which I highly recommend using so you can fine tweak the audio to your needs. Some cons: Be aware of the mic itself, after many years of use it might come loose, not always the case, as long as you are careful you should be fine, but the las thing you want is a dropping microphone.

I’ve also run into an issue with the mute slider, so double check it once you’ve bought it, make sure it functions normally, it was getting stuck for me. I contacted Astro and they were awesome enough to send me a replacement.

Other than those, I haven’t run into any others. I would highly recommend it!.

I initially bought this headset simply because it has a built-in microphone and I was tired of using my Apple EarPods as my go-to headset with a mic. After my EarPods’ microphone died on me, I decided to unbox this product, and I was in for a SHOCK! Before I get into the nitty-gritty, I will praise Astro Gaming for the build quality.

The A10 is a well-built pair of headphones. However, the headband squeezed my head too tight. The ear cups were super uncomfortable to the point where I was sore a day after wearing them. What’s worse? The audio quality is absolute TRASH! I should’ve known better given the fact I’m an audio engineer by trade.

If you want to know just how bad these are, the volume dips at around 600 Hz and doesn’t come back up until 900 Hz. Essentially, all of the high-mids of the average human range of hearing is GONE! I would never recommend this to anyone as a cheap gaming headset.

I was better off buying another pair of Apple EarPods.

I bought these during a sale – and for what they can deliver in terms of audio output is astonishing for the price! Keep in mind that I left 4 stars – because of the cord. While the build is made of quality, the cord installation could’ve been better.

At first I thought I had a defective pair of Astros. Then I found out that the other end of the cable has a longer tip. The long side plugs into the headset – you need to REALLY APPLY FORCE when plugging the cord in to get a solid audio connection.

The headphones sound indestructible! The BEST audio for the price range. Overall build is phenomenal. These headphones are built solid and rugged. Just make sure to properly install the audio cable correctly (really force the longer cable tip into the left ear cup port) and you are good!.

The headset performs great in all aspects. It is comfortable with different length settings for it to fit your head, so it’s not just a one size fits all type of headset. It can get VERY loud, almost uncomfortably loud, so know that won’t be an issue at all if you are worried about it being too quiet at max volume.

The headset does not come with “3D audio” like the high end headsets, but it claims to be “Engineered for 3D audio”. The directional sound on this headset is outstanding, more than good enough for any style of gamer.

In a racing game, I could hear the cars behind me, or either at my 4 o’clock or 8 o’clock position, or right next to me. With shooter games, you can hear footsteps of those around you and can easily determine if they are behind you, to the left or right side of you, or even in front of you.

Also performs well for music, such as for your phone or music player, so it’s not just limited to ‘gaming’. All in all, a great headset with good build quality at a great price.

So I thought it was a bluetooth headset that I could also you use with my iPhone but it turns out that it just uses bluetooth between the dongle and the headset. The mic has a good sound but a bit low volume but still much better than my Bose QC35.

On the other hand my QC35 has a much better sound when listening to music. I will only be using it to improve the voice/mic sound when doing video meetings. (I am using the headset with a Mac).

I love these things. The sound quality is great and the ear coverings are extremely comfortable. In fact I like to use them to listen to music as I fall asleep and don’t have to remove them. The long battery life is great and will easily last all night long.

As a vet with PTSD using these are often the only way I can fall asleep and they do a great job.

The headphones are comfortable, light weight and do not fall off when leaning forward. Good range and battery life. The on/off-volume switch is a problem and probably will not last. Strange that Avantree nailed the hard part and botched the easy part.

I went for these since they were on sale for the same price as the wired Blackshark set (80+tax). Initially they were absolutely perfect for sound quality and comfort – they weren’t overly heavy, the cooling foam was so nice & they didn’t get warm until ~4 hours into a gaming session, & the sound was fantastic.

They’re a little bulky, but overall were brilliant. Then, about a month into owning them, I noticed the sound went extremely quiet to where I could barely hear anything, despite the volume being around the 40-50% mark.

Not long after, it died completely, no matter how high the volume was. I unplugged them and plugged them back in, thinking maybe it was my controller – still got no sound. Tried a brand new controller, still got nothing.

Tried my phone, and what do you know – nothing. Keep in mind the mic worked perfectly fine still. I didn’t abuse the headset at all during use, and I returned them to the stand Razer sells every time I was done with them; the cord was allowed to hang down completely as well, and they weren’t in an area where they’d accidentally be caught by me or anyone else in the house.

Couldn’t return them to BB as the return period had passed, and I didn’t buy an extended warranty, so I went to Razer themselves to see if their 1 year warranty would cover it. A year later, I’m still waiting for a response back from them, despite sending about 1-2 emails about it per month.

Overall, just don’t waste your money despite the hype that these headsets have from so many gamers/streamers out there. Save the money for a set that’s actually worth the cost.

I had the older version of the Kraken that had analog and a (i dont remember the names sorry) a volume control tool on the wire that ended up being how i lost it. I swore off analog headsets because they seemed to be too easy to end up broken or partially broken and screeching in your ear occasionally.

I ended up replacing it with another but regardless of friends saying that my new headset had better sound quality than the tournament edition razer kraken, it really didn’t. It had very high quality sound for immersive gaming such as MMORPG players and even watching movies.

So fast forward i have no headset really and my mom tried to make my life a bit brighter and told me anything online i wanted that wasn’t too expensive i could have. There wasn’t much i could think of.

I remembered how i had no real headset at the moment and i did want to indulge in a girly pink headset which i have never had in gaming equipment. I remembered hearing how the mic was clear and the sound quality didn’t pay for that quality on it.

I decided it was a good temporary headset and i bought it. The sound was great and mic quality was amazing, for once people could hear me clearly through bad internet. It had analog which honestly only caused any problems when it got yanked out as i moved with a laptop.

I ended up getting my headset meant to not be the temporary one and it was a 200 something dollar LED wireless headset that very soon gave me charging issues. I ended up neglecting the charge on that one and i misplaced the USB end so I just went back to my under 100$ pink Razer kraken headset and even now almost two years later i am using this headset over others that may be better overall but not to the extent i feel like putting up with more issues.

So, maybe that can help sum up the kind of headset this is, its not expensive its not ugly its very comfortable and it does what i need a headset to do, As a person who pays attention to detail and the small things can throw me off of how i view things, This is definitely satisfactory for an actual good headset that can be on par with the ones built more extensively.

It’s rare i come across good quality, durable, hassle free, tech related products. It may just overall depend on preference, but if you are considering a more high end headset when you can settle for something basically identical thats cheaper and less likely to break down, id go for this one.

I use this for both gaming and casual music listening. They sound muddier than my Logitech that was half the price. The sort of games that I play, (ex. Dead by Daylight as Killer) rely heavily on my ability to pick out footsteps (which tend to be on the treble end) from other environmental noise in-game.

This headset, without the equalizer, does not make these differences crisp. The equalizer needed to *sort of* fix it is not free. You must pay an extra $10 for the THX Spatial Audio which has the equalizer.

The price of $10 is only after using their 50% off code – which is inserted in the box. It’s almost as if they knew you’d need it :/. And because THX Spatial Audio functions as a “different sound source” in Windows 10 from Realtek, or 7.

1 Surround, it’s all wacky. I have to choose between living in oatmeal or having everyone in my Discord calls hear my desktop audio. Razer’s website doesn’t seem keen on patching it, either – their heavily sensored forums are full of similar complaints.

I haven’t found a speaker this size that has a better mid-range. I’ve tried many others, even the JBL Go 3, the JBL Clip 4… but this one always wins out. Whatever driver they put in this speaker is quite frankly the best they could’ve put in for watching shows and movies.

Other speakers can get loud, but the balance always favors bass and the lower end over the mid-range. The result is the drowning out of vocals even at high volume. But not this one. The JBL Go 2 is actually backwards- the bass is there but not overpowering, and the mids are extremely strong.

That’s what makes this the ideal speaker for watching shows and videos with vocals. You don’t have to be at max, or even near max, to hear the voices come out clearly. When I use my other similarly-sized speakers, I often have to crank them to max to get the vocal volume I want.

This is a great speaker that I hope they keep manufacturing. It has a good place on JBL’s lineup, even with the more rugged JBL Go 3’s existence.

The compressor has great capacity for my use. I use it for nailing, some paint spraying/finishing work, and for airing tires and using impact tools. The negatives are: A) the wheels are too small, anything at all and this thing gets sideways if you are not on smooth ground or a floor of some sort, as this unit is pretty heavy.

I am getting and installing larger wheels. B) the gauge is not high quality AT ALL. Mine ceased working correctly within hours. I will replace it with something better at the first opportunity or when the compressor lets me down if that happens first.

It is getting replaced in either case and I don’t want another gage like this one. C) The drain plug is hidden pretty well and you need an allen key to remove it. I replaced it with a normal wing drain because I don’t usually have an allen key handy when I need to drain this unit and it is a pain to keep turning the heavy beast sideways to reach the darned plug with a key.

A wing plug would have been FAR better and likely little or not much more cost to the manufacturer of this compressor. Someone should send them a note and tell them to wise up on this issue, because it is a REAL pain in the butt.

The compressor takes a hefty electrical load to start but runs smoothly when it starts up. It fills reasonably quickly as well, kicks on when it likely should (gauge again does not work right for me), and makes no odd noises.

I have had the unit for several months, so far so good on that level. DO make sure you add oil to it BEFORE you try to run the unit. The sight glass is handy on the head for this use. Make use of that.

My grandson loves camouflage things so he was very excited over these headphones. He uses them for his Xbox to talk to his friends. The reason I took a start off is because there’s no real adjustment for the headset and the headset is tight to begin with I just haven’t been doubt a little bit every time he puts them on and they’re getting better.

The headphones were nice but the description says they work with Xbox one and the microphone does not work with it. We tried downloading software and troubleshooting. This was the second pair purchased that didn’t work.
