20 Best Headphones For Kindle Fire (2023 Updated)

I had been using a “cool brand” set (popular with the kids) when they literally fell apart as I took them off. Headband snapped in exactly the same place as my son’s had done six months earlier. A quick look at bodge repair vids on YouTube soon showed this was not a rare occurrence.

I needed a wired pair as I have a home studio, and Bluetooth phones are unsuitable for sound and music production because of inherent latency issues. I already had the BT version of these (HD 350BT) which I love, and when I saw their wired brothers for under £40 I thought I’d give them a go.

I’m amazed at just how good these are. Compared to the cool brand at four times the price, these dance all over them with hobnailed boots. For the money you simply just can’t go wrong. Highly recommended.

The sound quality from these headphones is very clear, no overpowering bass – ideal for me and as good as a pair of ancient Sennheiser hi-fi headphones which have become tatty. For info, there is only one lead from the headphones and that is the R channel.

The pads sit on my ears, not over them – this depends on the size of ears? In my ‘den’, I have a sound source which is split – a Y-lead with a jack plug to the source and 2 jack sockets as output (all 3.

5mm). One socket is connected to a pair of PC speakers and the other to the old headphones. Both are permanently connected. During the day, speakers are switched on as well as the headphones. In the evening, I switch the speakers off and use headphones only.

However, when connecting these headphones, the sound volume to the speakers is significantly reduced and so I have to disconnect the headphones if I want to listen through the speakers. It is as though the sound signal to the headphones is taking preference over the signal to the speakers.

I will live with that until I find a solution that will enable me to switch off the headphones, to use the speakers without disconnecting the headphones and without affecting the sound quality. I have now added a short jack extension lead to the headphones lead so that the constant connection/disconnection doesn’t wear out the headphones jack.

The extension lead and Y-lead are easily replaceable when the connections get worn.

I am an audiophile who has owned separate systems for decades and I like fairly good quality and nice sounding music. When my wife’s Sony headset stopped working I searched the internet for a better quality headset with sound quality and budget in mind.

I have used Sennheiser products in the past and have been always impressed by the well balanced sound and clarity and when I saw the set of Sennheiser HD 400s discounted to < £50 I bought it. Below is a summary of my findings; Good 1) Nice balanced sound quality especially in the high and mid range.

Bass is tight if a little light for some tastes but suits my wife and my musical taste. For the price the quality is very good and very suitable for use as a headset for conferencing and for listening to music.

It won’t replace a £200 set of audiophile headphones but what can one expect at this price! 2) Good quality materials and very comfortable 3) Detachable cable can be replaced and reduces the risk of damage whilst in storage/transit 4) Foldable but sturdy construction makes it easy to store away and carry for the commute Bad 1) Microphone has no volume control but requiring volume controls at source.

Not a problem for us. 2) Not bad but for those who like an emphasis on heavy bass then this may not be the pair for you. Overall I am very impressed and my wife is absolutely chuffed.

Sennheiser HD 206 stereo headphones are an entry level of the Sennheiser range of headphones. I bought these to use with the TV and they are perfect for that purpose. they come with a long 3 metre cable, allowing the listener to sit far enough away from the TV to be able to watch the programm comfortably.

As you would expect from Sennheiser the sound quality is pretty good, the top end, middle range are fine, however, I have found that the bass and lower tones are a little overpowering on some TV programmes, although, I appreciate that may be down to programm maker or transmitter, however when there was a program that incorporated, big pipe organ music, then they behaved as I would expect from a Sennheiser product.

The build quality is good and they are comfortable over extended periods of time, having large over the ear cups and being very light weight. The only downside that I can see at the moment is, the cable that connects the headphones to the TV/Amplifier and the foam cushions on the cups looks like they are fixed, unlike on more expensive Sennheiser headphones and they are the components that usually wear out first and are usually available for replacement from Sennheiser.

I guess because these are an entry level, then to save production costs, this model has no replaceable parts, however, I would expect them to last years.

Sennheiser’s workhorse budget headphones, found in studios everywhere. And that’s the point. These cans are more than adequate for general listening, punchy bass, good mids and treble but they are not audiophile headphones, their natural habitats are recording stuios, radio stations etc.

They are designed to give a flat, accurate sound so tracks, music, voice, sound effects et al can be mixed accurately without any frequencies being falsely enhanced. They also come with a 3 metre lead which may be a bit long for domestic use but perfect if being used while you are sitting behind a drum kit! The cans are light, just the right amount of adjustment, they are comfortable and fit snuggly over the ear.

I use them mainly for broadcasting or pre-recording shows for an internet radio station and sometimes they are on my head for hours at a time so comfort is essential. They are ideal if you have look after the pennies but want performance at a budget.

They are not the best headphones in the world but you can easily spend 30 on an inferior product to the HD 206.

For the price (and price range) they’re pretty decent headphones. Build quality is good and the pivot point around which the ears twist doesn’t seem as flimsy as it it with other brands (Roland, Samson).

Ears have enough rotation to conform to head but little else though. Padding adequately comfortable for long sessions. Only niggle is the cording being to both sides rather than one or the other which gets caught more often than not.

Sound seems to be a bit flatter and more even than Roland’s RH5’s by comparison, less bass, but clear.

I purchased these Sennheiser headphones recently having previously owned a pair of Pioneer Bluetooth ones which I wasn’t that happy with (too heavy, uncomfortable to wear and not enough base). These HD 599s are in a different league! Really comfortable and just the right amount of bass and treble sound.

You can hear every note even from 128kbps mp3 files direct off a laptop. The headphones seem to balance the output of all files perfectly – I like all sorts of music from Dvorak through to Dire Straits through to Deep Purple! Sound quality is wonderful.

I did lots of online research before deciding on these – I wanted a mid priced but quality product, and these Sennheiser’s are perfect for me. I also wanted a wired product (as I read that quality is usually better than wireless) and these headphones come with a choice of two cables – a shorter one with small 3.

5mm jack plug and a long 3m cable with an older style big plug. I have only used the short one which is ideal for my laptop or phone. All in all – super happy! And thanks to eBay I got them at a good price too!.

Great headphones from Sennheiser. Sound quality from these open backed headphones provides for a well balanced open sound and a spacious feeling for the overall sound. Comfort is just right a lightweight at 252gms.

Easy enough to use with as a bluetooth option with an adapter like Airfrex SEHD. Build quality is good. Feels robust enough.

I’ve waited until I have about 60 hours on them to make any judgment. They are very clear but compared to my ancient HD600s I find they lack extension, detail, and depth. This is not to complain. They are very musical although the Sennheiser veil seems more apparent especially with some performances.

Bass contrary to many reviews is more than adequate for my ears and genres of music (classical, acoustic, choral). The highs thankfully are not as pronounced saving me from listener fatigue. The 599s are a bit more colored and warm.

They are comfortable but a little tight. The clarity is phenomenal and clearly the headphones’ strength. The soundstage is compressed compared to the 600 but not to the point of being a disaster. I’ll use the 599s with my computer to stream for which they seem perfect.

The music is compressed so you lose a lot anyway. They are worthy of the high accolades I have read, but they are not in the same league as high end cans. The 599 is a very good for an under $200 headphone.

I am very happy with them and spent hours A/B in them with the 600s to see which one I’d make my primary. The 600 remains the champion, but the 599 is rightfully in the silver medal position.

The sound quality is very good and background noise is eliminated well. The headphones are also very light weight, being constructed from plastic materials. The head band is easily adjusted to fit, with pivoting ear pieces, which make for a really snug, comfortable fit, but the ear pieces are quite small and I wear glasses, so the headphones put pressure on the arms of my glasses, which becomes more uncomfortable when using them for long periods.

This is the reason I only gave four stars.

Lightweight with a great sound. Far better quality than they look. Ideal for playing guitar and not upsetting anyone. Well except for the singing anyway!

I highly recommend these headphones to anyone who enjoys quality music. For such a price, it’s really worth it. Everything is well balanced concerning the all round quality and comfort.

I have these connected to a brand new Samsung 70” TV. Unfortunately, this new TV didn’t come with an Aux plug. In fact, it only has one USB plug, an optical cable, and two hdmi spots. I almost returned the TV because I have to be able to plug in headphones in order to watch TV while others are sleeping.

I found these headphones and I decided to give them a try. I’m glad I did, because they work great. I used the included optical cable to attach the headphone receiver to the TV. Since the optical port was taken, I had to hook up my Samsung soundbar/woofer with Bluetooth.

Although the initial set up was a bit tricky, the headphones work well. They are snug, but not too tight. They work when the TV is muted and when the sound is on the TV. The range is really good on these.

I can go throughout my entire house without them cutting out.

These were my first headphones to use with TV and the phone. Worked fine for both. I’m not giving it 5 stars because the part that holds it on your head broke repeatedly. It reached the point where duct tape no longer worked.

They should have held up much longer. I’m a senior citizen with no little kids around and I was never rough with them. Never dropped them either. They just broke on their own. Never seen anything like that before.

My guess is that the quality has everything to do with the price being so reasonable.

I bought these on sale for like $80. Shipping was expensive but because of the deal it wasn’t too bad. Now I’m sad to see that they are listed for $178 plus $40 shipping. I wish I could buy them again, but considering that the plastic parts started going so soon, I don’t think they are worth this much money.

If I see them on sale again, I will probably buy them because they are so comfy and the sound is so good. May 12, 2019 EDIT: I needed to edit this review because I bought the same headphones again, even though their price had increased, and when I got them they were very different from the last ones I had ordered from this exact same product page 2-3 years ago.

The ones I received in the mail are called Matrix Cinema, and they are better in almost every way. I don’t know why they used the same product page for these headphones, though I now understand why they raised the price.

This is misleading and confusing, and now I feel like I should write a completely different review for this obviously different product. The sound quality is at least as good as the old ones, the ear cups block more noise, the frame feels more durable, and there’s an equalizer button that gives you several different EQ presets.

On/off button is now a switch, which concerns me since I just had another set of headphones where the switch stopped working, so I guess we’ll see in time if that’s an improvement. Little blue LED is much less conspicuous, which is nice if you like that, but I kind of liked looking like a cyborg and sometimes I’d use the old light to find my keys in the dark.

Robot woman’s voice is much milder and more seductive, but she also sounds slightly crestfallen, as though she may be vaguely aware of her status as your eternal slave. Also, it’s worth noting that I ordered this product from Canada, and in addition to the $38-40 dollars shipping I also had to pay another $38 in “tax or something” at the post office when they arrived, so if these headphones don’t last me at least 2 years I’m going to be disappointed, after all those extra pesos.

They do block a lot of external sound but they do not have a noise cancelling feature, so I’m on the fence still as to whether they were worth all the extra money. Good news is, they are definitely better than the old ones, though time will tell if they are more durable.

After spending a few years buying high quality in-ear headphones and then accidentally damaging them (in-wash, caught on something, puppy ate them, etc. ), I moved to using these. They have a great sound (more like $50-$60 price range for sound quality), and also they are inexpensive.

So basically I now treat them as semi-disposable. I buy three or four pairs, leave them around the house, and they are always available when I need them. If I accidentally destroy a pair, it’s no big deal.

I’d like to respond to complaints about durability. I’ve probably had about 10 pairs of these over the last 7 years or so, and I’ve never had one fail due to normal use. I’ve killed two putting them through the wash and dryer (though they survive about 50% of the time without apparent impact).

Our new dog ate two pairs. One or two others I’ve caught on something and ripped them out very hard which damaged the wires. I would suggest that for people who say the broke easily, I would suggest either: 1) They were unlucky 2) They were unduly rough with them (pulling them hard, wrapping around things to often/tightly, etc.

) 3) Their expectations of the abuse that low-cost light-weight wire headphones too high Basically, if you’re looking for good quality cheap sound, and your willing to be considerate of the fact that in-ear headphones have delicate wires inside, these are a good choice.

I can’t sleep without listening to something, especially when my hubby is snoring or when I have a lot on my mind. I have tried several headphone that are made to sleep in, including the headband headphone and still prefer my Sony.

They are extremely comfortable, great sound quality and the noise canceling is perfect. I love that I can get earbud quality sound without losing my headphones in the middle of the night. I have had a few different pairs, but only due to normal wear and tear.

The quality for the price is exceptional!.

I have a minelab equinox 800 metal detector. The cordless headphones that came with it still work good, but the earmuff material is starting to wearout and peel. After some research I got these Avantrees and they work well with the detector.

They pair up quickly and easily, and they sound good with no perceptible audio lag thanks to the aptx ll. The only thing I don’t like is that they don’t fit on my head as tightly as the original minelab headphones.

I do have a smaller, oval shaped head so if you have a bigger round shaped head and the minelabs are too tight then these avantrees might fit better for you. Being loose on my head they don’t feel as secure nor do they block out ambient noise as well as the minelab headphones.

If I were just sitting on the couch listening to music these Avantrees would be fine.

I bought 2 Audition pro headphones and 1 bluetooth transmitter Priva III in order to have 2 people watching TV at the same time with headphones. This setup is working great for me and is very easy to install, no latency thanks to the aptx LL mode.

It also reconnect very fast once you turn on the headset. You can also easily pair the headphones to another device, an iPad in my case, and same here, I dont get any latency watching Netflix for instance.

You just must be sure that the transmitter is off (see second issue below). First of all, I am very happy with the product but there are 2 main issues Avantree should work on to make the perfect setup: One big glitch I get is, if somebody is using one of the headphones to watch TV through the Priva III transmitter and the other one is connected to the iPad at the same time, there is a lot of interferences to the point of being unusable.

In that situation, you can use the headphone wired to the iPad but that would have been great to use the bluetooth in this situation as well. Another issue is that, if you have paired a bluetooth transmitter and a i-device to the headphone, there is no simple solution to switch between the two.

For instance, if the music is played from the i-device, you can pause the music and the the headphone will pick it up from the bluetooth transmitter but it doesnt seem to go back to the i-device when you pause the music on the bluetooth transmitter side.

the only way is to turn the transmitter off (which is annoying if somebody else is connected to it using the second headset but we get back to the first problem in this situation). Also, the fact that, as soon as you pause the music on the i-device, the connection is lost (when also connected to the transmitter) makes that setup not a workable one.

The only solution is that you keep the transmitter off when you use the Audition pro with the i-device. It would have great to find a way to switch devices from the headphone but that might also be a limitation of bluetooth.

So, to summarize, here are the pros and cons: Pros Very easy setup Very good sound over bluetooth and wired (at least to watch movies) both from Priva III and iPad No latency Very easy to use. The amount of functions is very adequate (not too much to get lost but enough to set it up to your taste.

(i. e. the voice over case can be turned off if annoying to you) The range with Priva III is as advertised. Once paired, re-connections are very fast. Led indicates the bluetooth codec you are using, nice to be able to check.

Long lasting battery as advertised Very light and comfortable (played video games for 4 hours without feeling it) Cons No mention of the possibility to update the firmware. If it is possible, I hope it can to solve the 2 problems I mentioned.

Can not have 2 headphones paired to an i-device and Priva III when you want to use one with the i-device and the other one with the Priva III -> interferences No simple way to switch between devices when one of them is a transmitter.

Sometimes the headset freeze when you try too much with the switch between devices but if you just plug it back to charge for one second and you get it back. Hopefully this will help.

I’ve had these headphones for over a year now and that alone is a testament to the quality that sets these headphones leagues apart. I am neurodivergent and experience a lot of sensory discomfort which, in my case, means I wear my headphones most of the day.

The battery in these makes them perfect for someone who is listening to music a lot and the noise cancelling feature is just an extra bonus (one that effectively cycles out the unwanted noise and stimuli).

The range on the Bluetooth connection is also brilliant and allows you quite a bit of range from your phone before any sort of interruption. Additionally, they are incredibly durable. I do a lot of hiking in the warmer months and sledding in the winter, so there’s been plenty of situations where the elements (water/snow/sand) have come in contact with my headphones— in many cases, snow has quite literally gotten inside the charging port— and they have continued to preform just as well as before! My only complaints have been that occasionally, after charging, these headphones have played a rough static over my music that eventually fades.

Additionally, if you ever have the need to use them while wired, moving the cord in any way will result in obnoxious static input. However, for me, these situations are rarely an issue and when they are, it is not hard to resolve or work around.

In the end, I hope to be able to continue buying these headphones because they do not disappoint and are now my golden standard!.

Daughter wanted a wireless headphone. Tried Beats but buttons on side would get pushed accidentally when she fell asleep and the Beats headphones hurt her ears. Tried Skullcandy but were too big and fell off her head when she leaned back.

Tried JLab studio. (She had the wired version and wanted a wireless headphone) These headphones didn’t hurt her ears or fall off her head. Battery lasts several days with one charge. She says it’s comfortable.

(So we returned the expensive headphones and kept this reasonably priced one!) The only thing is that there’s a slight high pitched noise that she could hear between songs (similar to passing the doors at the public library for when they are screening for books that haven’t been checked out).

I don’t hear it but she does and she says it doesn’t bother her. FYI to those with sensitive hearing.

Just got these guys today opened the box and was impressed sturdy decent looking set of heaphones. So of course the first thing you do is throw them on and crankem up right. Thats when i found out theres not much cranking there actually pretty quiet and when you try to push extra power they distort disapointed in that.

Tryed my phone laptop and even my mixer laptop was the best out of the 3 using the headphone jack. Blutooth seems to work for a decent distance and has clear sound. These are not heavy on Bass what so ever.

Very clear clean sound though. I feel like these were more like a 89. 99 set. If your looking for that awe experience suggest continuing your search.

Since I received my headphones, the Bluetooth has been amazing and no signal lost at what so ever. The auxiliary chord to connect into my Dj controller & using Bluetooth as well on labtop has been smooth.

The sound quality is really good and no noise comes in while using the headphones.

I purchased these headphones because I listen to a lot of music, both when I dj and just to listen to music. It’s great to just be able to remove the cord when I wanna connect to my cell phone and just go.

It’s so seamless. The sound quality is awesome and the big bright headphones are always very eye catching. I’m very happy with this purchase!.

Going for each category: Durability 4/5 Metal hinges, overall nice and durable plastic. It also seems never gets dirty, and survived a few stumbles and trips to the floor without scratches. After a year, while going to a walk, and using it on my office, the cushions started to worn off.

You’re supposed to swap them after some time, it’s expected after one year of constant use. It’s not a workout headphone, but it endured some sweat on hot days, and a few hours of skateboarding. As long as you don’t work out with it constantly, it will be OK.

If the cushions were either: a bit more resistent and the same price, or replacements were cheaper, it’d be a perfect 5/5 Sound quality 3/5 The sound is nice and thight when needed, but it’s NOT a neutral headphone.

It DO has quite some bass. I like a lot of bassy music so it’s nice for me, but the bass hides a little of the higher pitch sounds (example: a rock/metal song, with the drums and guitars over the symbals.

you can hear it, bit it’s a bit, muffled). It’s a everyday day-to-day headphones, so it’s nice for movies, series, etc. NOT an audiophile headphones. Sound is not neutral (which for most people is a good thing), and it has no sound stage, but it’s expected due to it being close back and has noise cancelling.

Tech and gimmics 3/5 It’s ok and usefull You can use it on cable, which is REALLY usefull and spares battery, reduces time response and overall quality, but you can’t use bluetooth and charge it at the same time.

the moment it charges, it gets turned off, and using it with the cable while charging sometimes has static sounds. it’s not optimzed for charging and using at the same time. it also has a REALLY ANNOYING PROBLEM: whenever I plug the headphone jack in, it fits in ok, but when going back to bluetooth, it makes sounds from only ONE of the speakers, either left or right.

you can fix it by pluging the headphone jack back in and turning the bluetooth on, THEN pulling it off after turning it on (I know you’re thingking something dirty. get your mind off the guter). It’s really annoying, and happens ALL THE TIME.

Voice assisstents work fine, but it’s kind of annoying to use. Sometimes you just want to fix the position on your head, and suddenly alexa or google turns on, and stops your music due to it being touch sensitive.

The bluetooth microfone is not that good (which is expected from a wireless headphone), but the cable that comes with has an ok microfone Noice cancelling is nice, and makes you feel like in a acoustic room, but it’s not the best on windy places.

it’s not a workout headphone, so you’re not supposed to use it on windy places, but it’s noticable while going for a walk. it’s a common issue on most active noise cancelling headphones. you’re not supposed to hit the gym with these, but it’s still noticable.

Price 4/5 It’s nice for it’s price. nice quality and nice sound with some quality of life features. if it wasn’t for the problems mentioned it’d be a 5/5. The few hardware issues it has make it a bit annoying, but it’s so durable and nicely built, it’s worth it Confort 5/5 I never sleep with headphones on, but this one is so comfy, it makes me sleepy sometimes.

it’s not very breatable, and it gets hot quickly, but the fabric is so soft, you keep them on your head just for how they feel. the most confortable headphone i’ve ever had. even after one year of constant everyday use, it’s super confortabe.
