20 Best Headphones For Cutting Grass (2023 Updated)

I’ve had these earbuds for a little over a month and have been very happy with them! The case and earbud design is sleek, and the sound quality is great. I enjoy both music and podcasts/audiobooks with these, and appreciate that you can really customize the sound in the JBL app.

I also like the Ambient Aware feature for when I’m outside and want to be aware of my surroundings – I’m looking forward to using them when biking especially! A few things to be aware of. If you are someone with long hair or wears hats/headbands that cover your ears, you may have some issues with the Ambient Aware setting as it picks these up as loud noises when they brush against the earbuds.

I also have found that these are slightly too large for my ears – I wish that they fit a bit more snuggly so that I didn’t worry about them dropping into the sink when I’m elbows-deep in dishes, but overall they stay in place with minimal readjustments.

And finally, the app can sometime have issues detecting the earbuds. This isn’t a deal-breaker as the buds can be mostly controlled without it, I’ve just had to sit and wait for 10-30 seconds for the app to recognize the buds.

These headphones are great for someone who uses them when needed but prefers other headphones when not. They get a bit uncomfortable after a couple of hours, but the noise cancelling is great and they’re extremely convenient to have.

My biggest issues with them are as follows: 1. The sound cancelling announcement noises – they’re so loud, and if you accidentally bump the left earbud you can be sure that you’ll know the fact that you changed the noise cancelling options, and exactly what option you switched to.

I would love it if I could change it to a couple of beeps or at least lower the announcement volume. 2. The rubber pads on the back of the case overhang the carveout in the case for the pads, which has lead me to accidentally losing one of the two rubber pieces on the back of my case.

Really disappointed that the pads aren’t properly sized for the case, especially as there’s only one case they need to match since these only come in black. But as far as the headphones themselves, they’re pretty great for both sound quality and noise cancelling (as long as you don’t accidentally hit the left one).

Disclaimer. I am not an audiophile but appreciate excellent sound. My preference is heavy bass over midrange or highs. I own 3 pairs of ear buds. B&W Pi7, JBL Tour Pro Plus with NC and Bose QC with NC.

All are excellent but have distinct differences. Sound Quality: All are excellent and have good sound from low (great bass) to high. The B&W probably have the best which is balanced and rich. The Bose is a very, very close second.

The JBL are also very good but a bit tinny right out of the box for my ear. This is easily corrected using the equalizer in the app. Of note, Bose also has an equalizer in the app, but it does not actually increase frequencies, just reduces others.

Also, the JBL app has much more frequency control with the Bose only bass, mid and high. Sadly, the B&W DOES NOT have an EQ, otherwise I would have given it a 5 star. Noise Cancelling: Bose are by far the best.

The others do an adequate job. Pairing: All are excellent and pair instantly Charging: All have wireless pad charging capabilities. Comfort: By FAR, the BOSE are the most comfortable. The B&W and JBL are equal but take some time to find the right silicone cups.

The BOSE easily block out sound and the other 2 require finding the right fit to block ambient nose. One trick I found for the B&W and JBL is to lick the silicone pads, insert and rotate backwards for a good seal.

Summary: Value for $$$, the JBL is the way to go. For comfort and NC, go Bose. For a complete package, the B&W. All of this comes at a price as you can imagine. JBL $179, Bose $279 and B&W $399. I have not had a chance to try the broadcast capability of the charging case with the B&W.

I bought these headphones a few days ago and I am very disappointed with them because of a specific feature, “Play/Pause”. The feature has several problems which I will list here. -It makes a very annoying sound -It often triggers when you adjust the headphones and pauses playback.

-It can only be turned off in the app but it still makes the sound of the feature being triggered. THIS IS HORRIBLE DESIGN LIKE COMICALLY BAD. -The feature isn’t consistent. Sometimes you take the headphones off, playback pauses, then you put them back on and it doesn’t trigger the feature.

This is especially annoying when the “play/pause” is triggered from adjusting the headphones. This may sound like a small inconvenience but when it happens constantly it becomes very very annoying. Play/pause is a pointless feature.

I understand JBL wanting to distinguish themselves from other brands but they shouldnt add features that decrease the functionality of the headset. Just make a pair of headphones that sound good and work please.

Stop with all the added nonsense. These headphones have another problem. They can pair to two devices but when youre paired to two the sound is choppy constantly. There isn’t a way to fix it and I’m fairly certain the “play/pause” feature (my favorite) resumes when the app is closed.

Oh and by the way you can only get the app on a phone. Isn’t that just great?!?!?.

Purchased my JBL Tour One headphones from JB HiFi mainly for conference and phone calling at work, and occasionally listening to music or podcasts. With the latter they perform extremely well and I have really enjoyed the customisable Eq function on the easy to use iPhone App for both music and podcast.

Conference and phone calling has been slightly less impressive, though. Listening quality is terrific, but on the receiving end you can sound a bit tinny and like you’re calling from a room with fairly high sound reverberation when you’re not.

Perhaps there’s an adjustment somewhere for this, and I expect most Bluetooth headphones without a dedicated microphone wand would be similar. Noise cancelling is OK, and while their NC performance falls a bit shot of my old Bose QC-15s, they’re still acceptable, IMO.

The product design is excellent. For me they are nice thing to wear with ample adjustments and the controls are easy to use, although the tactile quality of the on/off button could be a little better.

They’re mostly made from a matt plastic and synthetic leather but they look and feel high class, and certainly a significant step up over most other JBL headphones. The packaging was excellent, too, and ditto for the carry case and accessories.

The weight is OK and I have found that my ears do warm up wearing them but I get that with any headphones I use – even the on-ear type. Overall, I am very happy with my purchase and would recommend these to anyone looking for great looking headphones with great listening sound quality, which can be customised to suit personal preference, and adequate conference/phone call capability.

I really wanted to like these headphones. I own several products from Harman, speakers from Revel and JBL Synthesis, and headphones from AKG. I was looking for a pair of noise cancelling headphones for travelling and wanted to give these a try.

Out of the box the setup was easy, and they had good sound quality. However, after a few weeks of use they developed a “creaking” sound every time I moved my head. This seems to be a build quality issue.

It appears to be coming from where the hinge and ear cup attach. This is not a signal or sound quality issue and can be heard with the headphones off. I did a warranty exchange though JBL. The referb replacement set they sent had the same issue out of the box.

At this point I must believe this is an issue inherent in the design. Unfortunately, at this point I can not return to the retailer. I guess I will try exchanging them again? I would recommend looking at other options for noise cancelling headphones.

As the title implies the RB-M700s are a great at practically everything. Best thing about them is their wireless spec which is incredibly convenient, fast pairing and stable. Coupled with the modern design and fantastic battery life they’re my new go to, every day workhorse headphones.

I use these on my daily commute to work on the train and the battery can last nearly a whole week without charging. Noise isolation is good enough that I never have to worry about hearing outside noises or others hearing me.

The noise cancellation is a plus if I ever have to sit near traffic or if I’ll ever fly again. Bass loudness can be toggled via a switch near the charging port and has 4 settings, I prefer to keep it on the 2nd lowest setting so there’s plenty of bass if you’re into that, and on the higher two settings the headphones vibrate from the response which is an interesting experience.

Sound quality is good, having heard and owned a myriad of high end audio over the years, I can safely say that they are up to scratch for me when I prefer the portability and convenience of Bluetooth.

Only thing which detracts from the wireless listening experience is the Mic which I would not trust to take calls with unfortunately. I would also still probably use a pair of in-ear monitors if I was doing anything serious at the gym as the clamping pressure isn’t enough on these headphones for vigorous head movements.

That said the cups are large enough for long listening sessions as they clear my sticky-outy ears which can be a deal breaker for me. The volume can be adjusted with a couple of buttons either side of the power button.

Unfortunately the noise cancelling switch can click when the headphones are tilted forward or back but I got used to that after a few hours of listening. I’d recommend these if you’re in the market for a good quality set of Bluetooth over ear headphones.

They are a fit for me for 90% of listening scenarios and are suitable for practically everything.

Panasonic definitely had comfort and style in mind when they designed these headphones. They are the perfect balance of sturdiness and quality without being heavy. They also and have all the cleaver stylish touches you’d expect – easy to clean matte finish with soft durable ear cup padding and material.

I use these headphones at home, at work in the office and even when I go out for a run! I’m a big heavy metal/rock fan but also a bit of a fan of dance/club music, both of which made me very interested in trialling these headphones for their “bass reactor” feature.

If you’re after that “at the concerts” or “at the clubs” feeling… pump that bass right up and you’ll literally feel the headphones vibrate! Taking the song “Resentment” by A Day to Remember as an example, you really feel the drums kicking when the bass is on maximum.

These headphones can be used to watch movies and take phone calls with wonderful sound quality.

These headphones use bluetooth connectivity to provide wireless use. I found the range of bluetooth to be fantastic. I also liked that the assistant tells you if your battery is high, medium or low when you switch the headphones off.

I thought that was a very handy feature to know your charge status at the end of each session. You know I’ve had alot of head phones over the years and I’ve paid decent money on some and have been very impressed. But none have impressed me more than these Panasonic’s. Just the volume and bass from these are way beyond what i expected from a fairly economical buy.

The bass is soothing and depends on your flavour of music of movies can get voilent but they are well worth the money if not worth more. I play all my old songs again just to listen to them on these headphones.

I highly recommend these to anyone not sure on what to The battery life is great ive had them for nearly a month and only charged them once when i first got them. Mind you I only watch a movie or 2 everynight.

Absolutely amazing for casual listening. I use them at work on low-ish volume so I can still hear my coworkers and call outs, but still have my music there to help motivate me. However, the ear clip got caught on my mask, and I managed to snap a pin on the clip.

I was very disappointed to see there are no official replacement parts anywhere, so I ended up Supergluing it and it’s technically fine now. I ordered a second pair and a cheap headband (both on Amazon, see below) for if my ears get sore wearing the ear clips for too long.

I’d like to see replacement parts on the Koss or Drop Websites, I’d be willing to pay a total of $7 for replacement ear clips. Also, I’d be willing to pay an extra total of $5 for an included swappable headband, making it $25 instead of $20.

Like the cheap parts express one I just ordered on Amazon for $3. 29, I would have rather it had been an official option I could added to the order here on drop, but beggars can’t be choosers it seems.

These may be cheap, but there isn’t much else like them out there for this price and quality, especially not so lightweight. I understand parts handling and labor is a concern for profit’s sake, but I paid $10 for my replacement cable for my Hyper Clouds twice now.

But then again I suppose not enough people have the KSC75(X) for that to be a fair example. It took quite a while to get them, but I guess that’s just how Drop works for Certain periods in the product run.

But I have to wait more than a month for my 58X’s. that’s a bit too much. I saw posts of people waiting SEVERAL months on some things and considered canceling and finding something on amazon, but I heard WAY too many good things about the KSC75 and the 58X headset’s and I wanted them too much.

I ended up buying my second KSC75 from Amazon for an extra $5 along with the Headband.

I gotta say as a certified audio engineer that these headphones are not to bad. They noise cancel very well as these Toshiba’s do a great job at that, the bass to me may be a little pronounced in the mix but overall the sound quality is quite good.

They fit around my ears good, the Bluetooth & side components work just fine. For what it does I highly recommend!.

I usually don’t buy headphones online but these are definitely a great pair of headphones. They are extremely comfortable to be able to wear them for hours at a time. The sound quality is excellent and they definitely are noise canceling.

If you know the pros and cons of open-backed headphones and are familiar with the Grado ethos, you know what you’re getting into here. I love them, even as I have questions about the practicality of wireless open-back headphones.

They sound great, as you’d expect from Grado, but whether or not they make sense for you is, well, up to you. I won’t be wearing them on the bus but I like the freedom of movement they provide while using them at home.

Not much to add that hasn’t been said but one thing I think is important to note: many reviews I saw before I bought these complained about the microphone, but I have used the GW100s for phone calls and everyone I’ve asked has said the voice quality is very good on their end.

Better than my Apple AirPods Pro, in fact, which tend to pick up far more extraneous sounds and amplify them (I’m told). On the down side, reviewers are correct in pointing out that they can be uncomfortable after a while for glasses-wearers, but that’s probably true of all on-ear headphones.

It’s not a dealbreaker for me, and the great audio quality and light weight more than make up for any shortcomings. As always, great service from RS.

Been enjoying these since day one. Connected with my phone, turntable, and tablet without issues. Sound is warm for Grado, but still having that clarity they are famous for, so a great combination. The only negative I would give us the build quality doesn’t feel like headphones near to £200, more like something half that amount.

But that means they are light, and I have to say I don’t feel like I have them on they are so light, which is good for long listening. But 10/10 for the sound, I’m blown away at how good these sound, and now they have Bluetooth 5, and a much bigger/powerful battery, giving about 40 hours at 50% volume which I’ve never surpassed because they are quite loud.

After shopping around for noise canceling Bluetooth headphones, checked the Sharper Image website at a decent price. Bought this for online meetings, listening to music, meditate with binaural beats, and to help with debilitating migraines.

One of the migraine symptoms is a sensitivity to noise. The “noise canceling technology” is helpful for buffering the noises so as that I can function. The headphones arrived with micro USB charging cable, but it did not include the USB charger that plugs into the outlet.

I did not have a problem with that, because I have extra USB chargers. Also includes a 3. 5mm cable for when the charge is low. The protective zipper travel case is a practical and elegant bonus. All the cables and headphones fit perfectly.

Recently, I tried to have a conversation with the Bluetooth setting on my Android. That did not go well because they could not hear me. It may be that I need to get used to using it. Overall, it is worth the price and exceeded my expectations.

The noise canceling feature always works. However, pairing is always glitchy – has always taken several attempts to pair. Then finally it has stopped pairing altogether. I have had in for less than a year and treat all of my fragile items with the best of care.

I listen to music from my computer via Bluetooth. When the battery is low I can use the cord. I also watch videos on my computer and DVD player using the headphones. I use the headphones when reading to keep noise out.
