20 Best Headlights For Night Driving (2023 Updated)

I did my research and saw a lot of people liked these and had great results. And for the price based on other lights these were perfect. My first time installing these it took like 3 hours, my dad and I could not clip the light wires together and my dad tried a lot of things to get it to click together like the girl does all easy in the video.

Mine did not click so I had to put electrical tape around them. And I think I had read on another review here that someone else had this problem. Second problem, my high beams flicker on randomly while I drove a couple times so I was blinding people.

I reached out to the help center and Kara helped me with a return and said this has happened before but not often. So hopefully the new ones I just installed the high beams don’t flicker on again. Also, the wires to click the headlight together didn’t click again so I had to resort to taping them again.

We will see if they work this time.

My 2016 Rubicon came a year too early for the new LED’s jeep began using in 2017. Initially I replaced the factory bulbs (horrible) with Putco LED’s (used them for 2 years). Just did not do the job for me, so I replaced those and the factory lamp housing with black Pro-Comp’s prior to taking a 4,500 mile trip to Mexico.

The black look on the Mojave Sand is great! Illumination is much better than the bulbs, and no comparison at all to the original head lamps. Easy to install. BTW, go to your nearby ACE Hardware dealer and buy some additional pins used for the grill attachment in case you break some.

Jeep wants I think it was $8 each for them. Internet wants $5. Ace has them for $. 69-$1. 99 each.

A year ago, I upgraded the stock headlights with the Raxion conversion kit. The result was mediocre at best. The low beams were a big improvement, but the high beams were non-existant. Add to that the ballast on one light began to flicker, and then the light would shut off when on “Hi”, and well, you get the picture.

So, I threw the dice on these new lights – nothing to lose, right. Well, these are far and away superior to the “conversion kit. ” Nice bright low beams. Great hi-beam coverage and illumination. Nice daylight balance color temperature, and, they look cool too! The price is palatable too, compared to some of the other options out there.

So far I’m very pleased and just wish I had gotten there first, before wasting time and money on the now discontinued Raxion conversion kit.

The stock JK halogen headlights are just about the worst headlights that I’ve ever been behind. On backroads with oncoming traffic, I’d lose sight of the road in front of me. Due to this, I was compelled to upgrade to LED.

I took a couple weeks to research and weigh my options. The outcome of that was me settling on these KC’s. I received them in a timely manner. The installation took me about 15 minutes – super simple upgrade.

They are literally plug and play. As far as the lighting output themselves; the low beams are quite the upgrade. Although, I’m not the biggest fan of the light cutoff. It has some cutoffs that make me dizzy when I stare at the road long enough.

I find myself having to move my focus around a bit. However, the high beam output is shocking! It lights up just about everything and is a cool, crisp light. I throw the high beams on with every chance I get.

Ultimately, I would recommend these lights to anyone. Yes, the price tag is a bit much but you can’t put a price on safety. These headlights aren’t meant to wow anyone that sees them and doesn’t have any flashy halo lights.

But if you want increased safety when driving at night, I highly recommend these lights.

Huge improvement over stock! I was worried about brightness, but driving around, no one has flashed their headlights because they think my brights are on. prob because beam pattern design cuts off at their trunk and hood height, but lights up way down the road.

Flip on your high beams and light up the entire block. wow!! A little pricey, but extremely well made by a company that has been making awesome products for a long time. not some fly by night foreign manufacturer throwing together cheap stuff.

Super easy to install. when I started, I had an Amazon delivery 10 stops away; I completed install before they delivered package to my door. and I am not the fastest installer.

These headlights are fantastic. A little more expensive but worth it. Very well built and the light they throw is incredible! Blows the OEM lights away! plug and play installation, 30 minute install.

I’d give these 5 stars but the fit was slightly loose in my older retainer rings. 2 minute fix with a few small layers of Duck Tape between rings and headlight made for perfect fit. I totally recommend These Lights!.

We installed these on our 2022 Gladiator. If you are looking for an easy upgrade that isn’t hard to do these, are it. Complete install in about 30 minutes and they look amazing. The DRL Halo’s really make your vehicle stand out when running down the road.

The only complaint I have is with the installation on the DRL fuse wire. It is literally just long enough to stretch as tight as it will go to reach the fuse box and negative battery terminal. There is absolutely no slack.

If you want to run the wire where it isn’t just pulled tight along the top of everything you will need to splice in a longer length. Oracle needs to add about 12in of extra wire to be able to hide it better.

That being said, these lights are well worth it.

The Oracle 7-inch LED headlights are a very good product. The installation instructions are generally good, but contain a couple of pitfalls. The instruction mention the installer needs to obtain the T-connectors along with other tools which can cause some wasted time trying to find them in an auto parts store until you realize the T-connectors are already provided in the kit.

It leads to a little confusion why this isn’t mentioned up front. The instructions probably also ought to mention taking care not to insert the halo pigtail wires too far into the male spade connectors as this will cause the crimping to take place on top of insulated wiring instead of the stripped end of the wiring.

Other than those two points everything went as expected.

First off this has to be one of the easiest upgrades ever. These Oracle halo led head lights are a 5/5 stars on looks and style. However, I’m not impressed with the actual road projection being uneven at the cutoff line.

I played with adjusting them several times and could never get a clean cut off. It basically looks like one side projects lower than the other. But I opted to keep them because they are way brighter than the factory halogen and cheaper than the mopar lights.

I know I’m pickier than most so therefore I’d recommend these oracle BI led projection lights.

beautiful headlights. good light. slight modification to headlight buckets, cutout bigger with cutoff wheel. Had trouble with high and low on accent lights. wiring adapter bled power back to turn signals so indicators were always on.

but just direct wired inboard lights to runnings lights and outboard lights to turn signals looks and works great.

Installed these on my 1941 Plymouth coupe. Had to cut the ‘bucket’ wire openings in the back for clearance for the rubber insulators, but they fit great. I ran separate grounds, and power ( all soldered connections ) to the LEDs for full time daytime running lights.

But, people still pull right out in front of me. Picture shows just the LED running lights.

First rate quality and construction; LED’s are bright and well suited as daylight running lights; Headlight function surpasses standard sealed beams; and, they look cool; for ’71 & ’72 Chevelle use will require modifications to to headlight buckets and fender extension housing.

Love these headlights! They match my sequential side mirror turn signals perfectly. Easy plug & play once you get the grill off & bumper out of the way. No issues whatsoever, though! DRL works great.

Best thing: no chrome! Highly recommend these.

I’ve had these headlights on for about a week now. They defiantly look great and make the truck look great but I’m not sure the bulb quality is quite as good as the stock. There is still plenty of light at night but there are some semi obvious lines and flares.

That being said, I still need to go in and fine tune some more, but overall I am very happy with these headlights.

They have worked flawlessly since I have installed them. Nice clean flush mount. I used to only use my blinkers when I was around traffic but now with the sequential headlights I use them any chance I get.

The running whites are very clean and crisp and the amber blinkers look just as great. Overall no complaints thus far. They are a bit on the pricey side but if they continue to give me years of no issues then you get what you pay for and I’m cool with that.

Bottom-line up front: These headlights are killer and I highly recommend them; however, when you pay this kind of money you expect to find F’ing installation instructions and perhaps a wiring diagram to show you how to hook up the Daytime Running Light option that American Trucks and the OEM video doesn’t bother to show you.

In AmericanTrucks own video, you can see a yellow and gray wire on the harness as the technician hooks up the standard black/red to the battery, but doesn’t even mention the other wires and pretends like their not even there … just unacceptable that instructions are not included at this price point.

For my 2020 F150 I found that the install videos leave out key details: 1: The trim piece that you take off above the bumper doesn’t just fall off after you remove the two screws on either side, there must me a thousand clips holding it in and you need to be careful not to break it; 2) Key to getting the light out is after the lights bolts are removed, you have to pry the air dame off of the bottom of the light, which you don’t really notice at first, but there is no way in hell that light is coming out unless you do that … would have been nice if the [email protected]#$’ing videos would have mentioned that, did I mention there were no instructions included in the box … super f__king frustrating to go through; 3) The gray wire is the power source for the Daytime Running Lights, requires a mini fuse tap to hook up, why the ‘F’ isn’t that included with the wiring? At this price point, that should be included … along with some f__king instructions and wiring diagram.

4) Unlike the American Trucks video, there was no need to move parts off of the old headlight assembly to the new one, the new one was totally complete and ready to hook up; 5) Unlike in the American Trucks video, I’d recommend running the DRL power to both headlight openings before hooking it up to the battery; and 6) I’d expect American Trucks and the OEM to at least give lip service to the deltas customers could face if the have a model year vehicle that is different from the one they are shooting the video on.

Overall, the install took about 3. 5 hours what with having to search out installation information, if instructions were included, this would have been an easy 30 – 40 minute install. Lastly, all the frustration caused by the lack of information from both American Trucks and the OEM on the install of these lights was worth it in the end as they are an Awesome upgrade to the truck.

Highly recommended.

First off, these are well built, high quality lights that you will be glad you reached deep into your pockets and made the purchase. Important note: I used the video on American trucks to install mine and they missed two critical points.

1) you use your old existing incandescent turn signal bulb. one of the “extra wires” on the new headlights plugs into old turn signal then bulb into new headlight and truck turn signal wiring harness plugs into new headlight.

2) there is a white “extra wire” tat controls the daytime running lights (DRL). You should get a wiring harness for that in you kit. Wire these up and buy a “Mini Add-a-Fuse” and tap into fuse 97 in the fuse box on passenger fender under hood.

I didn’t realize these and had to start all over again. Although after doing it twice I am now and expert at removing the headlights. If you don’t use the existing turn signal lamp the green light on the dash will hyper flash.

If you don’t hook up the DRL and use auto headlights or have the headlights off, you will not have DRL. In fact no lights at all until you turn on headlights. The first round took about an hour to remove and replace headlights, second round about 20 minutes.

Hope this helps and enjoy, these are well worth the money.

I chose these over the Morimoto’s because I didn’t want to go for a darker look. The install took a little longer because the plastic fasteners that came with the headlights were too large and it took some time to figure out why they wouldn’t fit.

I just used the ones off of the old headlights and it worked fine. Also, there was a gray wire coming from one of the headlights that I didn’t know where it went. The instructional video “conveniently” omitted that portion, so I assumed it wasn’t important and didn’t hook it up to anything.

With that said, the headlights are great and I love the newer look it provides my 11-year old truck.

Very bright! Plug and play install, seem to be very well made, and look great! These surpassed my expectations. Would recommend to anyone looking to upgrade their headlights. They look good too. Don’t waste your money trying out different bulbs to get better night vision; buy these and you won’t regret it.

I was looking for headlights for a while and got these as I love the look. With my truck they add so much flare. They are are way brighter than I thought in a good way. I can see a lot better at night and on the trails.

The feel like they were meant to be with the truck. It took about 40 minutes and plugged up with no adaptors needed. I love them and Anzo makes a good light.

I personally bought these open Box and let me tell you they are super nare super nice on the description for open Box and said they were scratched but I saw the pictures they had posted online and when I received them there was nothing wrong nothing wrong no scratches nothing whatsoever they were as good as New.

Very easy to install super bright love the switchback switch back mode I love the LED bar. I highly recommend these.

I thought these were great. Look good, decent light output, and the integrated turn signals were perfect for my restomod Mustang. Only problem is the low beam stopped working on one of the lights after turning them on maybe six times.

No long periods of use either. Sucks because now I need to either replace both sides due to not really trusting these or replace the one and hope it was a fluke.

Like others mentioned, I got a set with broken LED lights. No big deal, summit swapped no issue. Second set is great. Wiring directions on the box. READ!! I did have to clearance the headlight buckets.

Again, it’s expected as it’s not a factory replacement part. Surprised to find they are glass lenses. I expected plastic and was pleasantly surprised. Will buy again if I get another project car.

These worked well for me. I am restoring a 67 year old fiberglass sports car and did not want to mount turn signal and park lights. These appear well made and the headlight bulb is replaceable. The LED park and turn light are bright enough for daylight visibility.

When converting to LED turn signals I had to replace my flasher with one for LED lights which have much less current draw.

I do not recommend getting these. Yes, they are indeed beautiful, but I’ve been to the shop coming up 27 times due to these headlights. My mechanic told me I’m going to have to pay a lot of money to completely rewire them.

Your headlight bulbs will go in and out and burn your bulbs really quick. This specific bulb has to be ordered and delivered to my mechanic every time because it’s not a commonly used bulb, which also limits your ability to have any other color options.

I was excited to get these, but very disappointed with the overall experience.

These come with standard H1 housing and headlight bulbs. 9th gen civic Coupe OEM bulb size H11 and Sedan OEM bulb size 9006 will not fit this headlight housing, which is mentioned in the description; only fits H1 bulbs.

There are separate wires for the LED strip (aside from the low/high/turn signal wires) sticking out from the back of the headlight that need to be spliced in with, preferably, the daytime running lights.

I was aware that these headlights come with halogen bulbs as part of the purchase. So I was already planning on putting LED’s in. It’s somewhat plug and play, but in order to get the LED strip to light up, some wiring needs to be done, not too bad, but based on the reviews, many customers thought this would be immediate plug and play.

If you plan to purchase aftermarket LED bulbs (lowbeam) for this, you may need an H1 male plug single diode converter (cheap on Amazon) because the headlights’ lowbeam harness is a ‘single female’ linkage.

Most aftermarket H1 LED bulbs will have 2 wires (male), positive and negative, so having that single diode converter cord will allow you to take the 2 wires from the led bulb, and plug it into the 1 single female headlight harness.

Great looking pair of headlights though.

**** yeah super happy with this purchase. A little thrown off by the way the wires are set up though. Why make the LED wires separate from the headlight lamp? Why not just wire them together so it really can be “plug and play” as advertised.

Yes there are the three plug in connections, but beware, there is a fourth set of wires for the LED strip which must be wired in with the main headlamp. There’s no normal spot to stick the wires together so you have two options.

Either you’d be forced to strip one of the wires and wire them together and wrap it tight with electric tape, or find a way to jam the small LED wires into the plug between the two connectors for the main headlamp (which is what I ended up doing).

It was tricky, but I figured it out. Now the headlights look amazing. I wish I would’ve had this information before starting because I almost had to physically run to Walmart during the installation process and buy electric tape.

Thankfully I didn’t need this though.

I AM NOT A FAN OF THE LED HEADLIGHTS. THEY BLIND ONCOMING TRAFFIC. THESE HEADLIGHTS ARE PERFECT. A LOT OF LIGHT DISPERSED SO EVEN ROAD SIGNS ARE VISIBLE FROM A DISTANCE.

The lights fit perfectly in a 1940 Dodge headlight bucket. The bulbs work great. An awesome antique fit with modern efficiency.

These are great looking, easy to install and give off much better lighting than my old seal beam lights.

I guess that I was getting tired of dim lighting compared to the newer trucks on the highway so I decided to do something about it. I started doing research on LED headlights and didn’t realize that there were so many choices.

After looking at many videos, pictures and reading reviews the choice was clear and bright. JW Speaker 8800 Evolution with heaters was the way to go. And I must say, I made the right choice. After installing these babies I couldn’t believe that I waited so long.

It’s like going from driving with the parking lights on only to driving with a little peice of daylight leading you through the night. What a great product!.

These lights are bright enough to see things such as deer before you hit them, not just as you hit them. They work amazingly well in fog being as bright as they are, only downside is some jealous halogen headlight having people will turn on their brights as your passing them.

These high beam head lamps are certainly a white light. I was hoping that they would throw light a little further but as a DOT compliant headlamp I suppose that it could not. Very expensive but overall I am satisfied with my purchase.

I purchased from American Trucks in Dec. I installed them myself. They must have updated the lamp connections because it was all plug and play. The only thing I had to do was install was the top and bottom brackets and all three wire connections simply connected to the trucks connections.

Both headlights look great and operate as designed. The Leds portion only comes on when the parking lamp are on. The daylight lamps comes only while driving. I hadn’t Forscan to add the parking lamps to come on with the daytime lamp yet.

I did notice condensing in the headlamps after driving on cold days after the engine was off. I checked to make sure all the back of the head lamps had there booties on tight. American trucks were going to send me another set of headlights but I decide not to replace them because I figured it would have not corrected this and decided to keep the headlights because I really like them and it only seem to happen on cold rainy days, since I live in the south this was not going to be along term issues.

I installed these back in October and while they looked great and worked well they fogged up from moisture getting in after it rained or I took it through a carwash. I watched several videos of how to separate the lens from the housing, but I didn’t want to risk damaging the lights.

I decided to first dry the housing out and then using blue painter’s tape traced along both sides of where the lens and housing come together to make a nice line I used a product called exel which is clear and adheres to polycarbonate.

Once that dried I removed the tape and reinstalled them. I’ve run my truck through the carwash a couple of times since then and no longer have the moisture issue.

These headlights are VERY similar to the OEM HID headlights that come on certain models of 2009 – 2014 F-150’s except for one thing. There’s a bitchin’ DRL Bar that curves from the top to the bottom around the main headlight itself.

Seeing this makes me think it took cues from 2014 – 2016 model year GMC Sierra’s at time but I digress. The light bar is bright and looks pretty frickin’ sweet. They’re so bright that they’re able to light up the sides of passing cars during night time driving.

The only con I have about this is you do have to aim the headlights. They’re currently aimed down so they don’t do much to light up the road ahead of you and trying to do that while they’re mounted to the truck is a B and a half.

So good luck with that. Otherwise they look great. Pair them with some Proven Ground Raptor style fender flares and you got yourself a good look.

Writing this review after install and one quick night drive so I cannot speak to the longevity of this product. First of all they look fantastic. Secondly they aren’t that much brighter than the stock headlights.

Install wasn’t bad but not plug and play due to the LED light bar. All you have to do is tap into the turn signal. (Pretty easy as the harness is totally exposed) They recommend using t taps. It’s black to black and middle white to white.

Appears to be built of good quality materials. I’ve had them installed for a few months now and No moisture problems yet and it’s been through the car wash many times without moisture problems so they must be sealed well.

100% improvement from my fogged over factory originals. It went from stressful drives in the dark straining to see to actually having a little fun driving in the dark. Very bright and Well worth the money.

They can be a bit tricky to install but that’s typical for any modern headlight assembly. If you are not handy with tools, lack patience and lack attention span to focus on a project for a few hours I’d say you should pay someone else to install them.

Otherwise they have how to videos.

Good quality lights and were exactly plug and play as advertised. Took about 15-20 minutes to pull the Jeep Wrangler JL grill, replace the bulbs and get everything back together. The new bulbs light is very white compared to the old halogens and considerably brighter.

The low beams have a very precise top light cutoff so they do not blind oncoming drivers. Several weeks and nobody has flashed their lights at me. The new bulbs did not cause any other issues with the Jeep and did not need any other parts.

Good upgrade for a very reasonable price. I recommend!.

This is my 7th purchase of Lasfit products, fir all of my present, and past vehicles. I’ve tried other brands in the past, with disappointing experiences. Lasfit has never let me down. This is my Son’s first car, and we wanted the best lighting for him.

I only had to trim the edges off where you press onto, to twist lock into the headlamp housing. And, remove the stock gasket. Lasfit provided theirs. It would not seat in into the recessed position. Perfect for otherwise.

And, that pure white lighting with now help our Son see objects on the roadway.

This is the 5th set of lasfit bulbs I’ve put into vehicles. And they are great bulbs. The price is good, build quality is great, never had one go out yet. (Oldest set being 1 year old) only things i can say is some of the sets don’t have very good bright functions.

Like 1 set made zero difference. But other sets have been great lows and brights. Also the most resent set i bought for a 2018 jeep wrangler doesn’t sit up and down as LEDs should. (They seal and fit good, just the bulb should be straight up and down) these simply won’t do that.

They are a little cockeyed. Sometimes the plugins don’t like to lock in. You might need to ziptie, tape or sometimes you can get them to plug in perfect. I must state i am a mechanic and somewhat of a led nerd and know how to install.

All and all i tell any person looking for led bulbs for under $50 to go with this brand!.

Little bit of an issue with the driver side. The bottom part of the bulb isn’t fully lit. But, they are sending a replacement. Unfortunately it means I have to take everything back off just to change out the headlight again.

Otherwise I love the lights and I love the look. Only took the afternoon because I ended up having to take the fenders off and I upgraded the grill at the same time.

I bought ONE of these Holly RetroBright LED lights in the “modern white” for my 2007 Harley Davidson RoadKing. VERY easy install. Fit just like stock just plug it in, nothing else needed. MUCH brighter than the stock 15 year old headlight I replaced.

Even in the daytime it’s noticeably much brighter I’ll buy more for my old car too someday but at $199. 00 each they do get pricey. Price for just ONE was ok for a motorcycle. I think it is a good safety feature during the daytime too! Helps the blind car drivers at least maybe see you! I recommend this Holly HID modern white light and I’d buy it again.

The thing I like BEST is it looks like a stock headlight when turned off on my old looking Harley which I really prefer over the more “modern”/STRANGE looking LED lights.

07 Triumph Bonneville. went home last night and was determined to make this work or was going to give it one more solid try. Saw that the lip on the mounting bezel was too narrow as this light protrudes out unlike the stock one which sits flush.

I used a block of wood and a hard plastic wedge and hammered around the edge of that lip to widen it until it fit. Got it all together now. Not thrilled about how it protrudes, but I’ll get used to it and if that’s the price you have to pay for legit lighting so be it.

This thing is like a landing light compared to the stocker. might as well have been a candle in there before. So it took me some finagling to fit, but well worth it.

Very easy to install and simple plug-in install just like original headlights. Overall very happy with the headlights even though a bit on the pricey side. These lights offer a wider light pattern than the original.

Best part is they keep the original look for LED and do not look like an alien spaceship like some 7″ round aftermarket headlights.

These are some great looking headlights. You definitely should have them professionally installed due to having to deal with the front bumper. They really change the way to car looks. I love them.

The replacements are far and beyond my expectation. Now buying the rear lights. They look fantastic.

Lights did not work with my 2008 ML. The wiring was not the same as factory. Dealership nor two other companies would install them! Spec D tuning would not answer their phone to answer any questions.
