20 Best Headers For Ram 1500 (2023 Updated)

2014 Ram 1500 SLT 5. 7 Hemi. Installed these October 2021 using stage 8 bolt kit and Felpro gaskets. Had one broken bolt on passengers side front. Did it because my neighbors truck is identical, had 4 broken bolts, replaced with OEM bolts.

Mine is still like the day I put them in. His? After $1500 shop cost, Now has 5 broken OEM replacement bolts. These BBK headers are the BOMB! Do you yourself a favor and skip the OEM exhaust manifold, bolts and gasket.

Do it once, be done and move on in life. Took 8 hours to do, gotta move and re-bracket a couple things but other then that, they go in easily. I’ve put 10,000 miles on’er and still no issues. Freezing cold, high elevation (yellowstone to Seattle and back) towing, roasting temps, all of it.

No broken welds on headers, gasket leaks or broken bolts. Satisfied customer, good product.

I bought these bbk headers because my stock manifold was warped with multiple broken bolts on both sides. It’s a really tight fit and if you’re good at Tetris you don’t have to disconnect or remove anything lol.

It’s a really thin metal , I can hear my exhaust valve’s while not on the throttle. The bolts that connect the headers to the cats needs more threading to the heads of the bolts , I had to use a lot of washers to get it to connect and tighten down.

As for sound , I’m not sure because I did a muffler and resonator delete and it’s awesome lol. Performance , it’s got more pull. Gas MPG , I don’t know I can’t keep my foot off the floor lmao. I’ve had them for almost 2 months and I like them.

Chrome finish was adequate at best but welds and construction seemed very solid. The finish didn’t matter much as they are hidden in the engine bay and I wrapped mine anyways. Bought these with the idea of replacing the stock ones at the same time as fixing the broken exhaust bolts and couldn’t be happier with the feel and sound.

Have had them on about 2,000 miles and no issues but one caution I would give future buyers is to not use the flimsy gaskets they come with, use Felpro gaskets instead as they have a shield and are much better built.

These are a great addition to your exhaust system. Now since these are shorties, your cats are factory unless you install high flow which I plan on on doing myself keeping a street-strip setup. I could have installed these myself but I dont have the proper setup in my garage.

I let a shop have fun doing it.

Listen. Do not listen to what everyone has to say about BBK. They’re a very good brand. I bought a set of these for my 16 RT Shaker because of the quality and durability it has on my friends mustang GT.

I do suggest having them heat wrapped, doesnt matter if its chrome or ceramic coated, so it wont turn blue due to heat but you’re also protecting everything around the headers. But reminder, if you are a daily driver, like me, then shorties is your best bang for the buck performance.

Long tubes will make you have to redo your entire exhaust system and then have it tuned immediately after. But also longtubes will have a much bigger power gain as opposed to shorties. But if you’re new to installing items such as headers I strongly suggest to have a shop do it because it requires a lift and dropping your engine a tiny bit to fit.

Here in California our options can be limited when it comes to any performance part. namely headers! Luckily BBK is literally right up the road from me so it was simple choosing a brand that is 50 state legal, and a brand that I`ve known well.

Anyhoo, went a few towns up and had these installed by a shop in Irvine. Took them a full days work. In their words “headers. suck!” Driving the car after installation, I instantly heard a deeper growl come from the ole girl.

and I mean deeep! She literally snarls now. Amazing what these do over stock. Butt dyno says small bump in hp and tq; can`t really feel much but its there. In any case, can definitely tell the car breathes a lot better now.

The needle definitely reaches 80mph a little easier than before. Ofcoarse this is all without a tune so that jolt will come soon enough. Originally paired these with an x pipe and the Roush AB`s, but I didn`t like the x, they toned down the Roush too much.

My opinion, no one buys the Roushes for a subtle note. So had an custom h pipe installed and man oh man. she growls louder now! Head turning for sure and I`m smiling ear to ear!.

Put these on in 2019 because I had some manifold bolts break. thought these would help match heat expansion rate of rest of motor. read some other people have success with this option. First of all the fitment is really bad, it was a multi day project to get it done which should’ve been done in a Saturday.

had to let the oil dipstick hang loose instead of being able to secure it. Once they were on it was fine. fast forward a couple years, I get a CEL, P2096. thought it was o2 sensors. Dropped $$$ on new sensors, CEL went away, then came back.

then went off on its own. finally back on and I took it to a shop. They said the headers were cracked and recommended stock headers. Should never have messed with these in the first place. 2-3 years is an UNACCEPTABLE lifespan for exhaust manifolds.

BBK won’t warranty of course. Summit won’t either. BUYER BEWARE. just stick with stock unless you go with a company who stands by their product. these never improved my trucks performance anyway, just made it louder.

Bought these and used hi end bolts and factory gaskets. They leaked not long after install so I re torqued them. No good the leaks stayed. So I recently bought another set from BBK to replace these. Sad mistake on my part now I have to return them.

I ran into my exhaust man that has been doing hi end custom exhaust work for 4 decades. He was a close friend to my other exhaust pro. Being a tech you know when good outside specialty folks are needed and these guys are the best.

I asked him what he had found with these BBK shorty headers and what he said was if they don’t leak at the collector where it meets the head they crack just above the collector to the exhaust pipe.

I have a nice shop in my garage with a full line of tools. I have owned several off-road rock crawlers that I built. I mention the above, as the header swap was a daunting task. I ordered the BBK 40140’s with a better gasket, and Stage 8 bolts (they have a locking mechanism that prevents them from coming out).

For a seasoned mechanic, this was described as a 3-4 hour job. For me it was a about 7 hours, as I took my time. At 98k miles, I found 4 broken studs, 2 on each side. Passenger side was easy. Both studs were sticking out and vice grips easily removed them.

Other side had 2 studs broken off flush with block. I have a welder, and was able to weld nuts on both and extract studs. Had to pull dipstick and disconnect steering. Took awhile to get header in place on drivers side, as space was very tight.

Was similar to a tiring game of Tetris, seeking the perfect fit. Once in, I then slid the gasket in behind it and placed the stage 8 bolts. There was about 3 bolts on each header that were very hard to access.

Had to use a ratcheting box end wrench to get to them all. Once all were in place, attempted to install locking mechanisms to Stage 8’s. no luck. BBK tube placement was to close to bolt holes. Without modifying each and every one of the cam locks with a grinder, I abandoned using the locks.

A real waste of money on the stage 8’s! Had to stick a Phillips screw driver into dipstick tube on block end, and add a few degrees to existing bend to get it back inside block. All in all, very pleased with these headers so far! Sound is much quieter than dual exhaust leaks.

Noticeable performance increase.

My first set showed up with flange warped from weld operation in production. Second set was better. Use a straightedge to ensure you’ve got a relatively flat flange. Also, buy ARP bolts, for $80 for the set, it compliments the investment you made on the headers.

Also, drivers side lower collector bolt WILL bite into header if you overtighten. Otherwise great product.

Recommended and i was actually amazed that the headers were actually plug and play direct fit no exhaust tweeking or take to a shop only problem hardware for headers they sent me bolts washers for install on engine collector flange the gave me washers and nuts no collector studs REALLY no problem only hickup i encountered.

headers with a Total Flow single chamber muffler stock high flow cats stock pipes and left the stock RESONATORS on board still very aggressive sound with major power gains but not an over obnoxious shut that thing up from the neighbors in the morning and the resonators killed the head ponding interior Drone the Rams are known for.

i can enjoy the truck and sound and still kick the stereo without blowing out anyones ear drums good pick good choice i would highly mention and recommend this particular product for its looks sound and plug and play fit good price as well.

Headers went on smooth only took about 30 mins to install my concern was that when the package arrived it arrived all beat up and damaged. When I have opened the box the headers were ok they were not damaged but the gaskets were heavily damaged as well as the hardware box.

I thought that maybe from the shipping the box got beat up but that was not the case they need to figure out how to properly protect the headers and the gaskets!.

I wanna start this out by saying I worked at a performance exhaust shop in southern New Jersey for about 4 years. This shop has a stellar reputation and loyal customer base. As a result, I had a chance to handle a wide variety of performance parts for all makes and models.

When the exhaust manifold cracked on my 5. 7 hemi I figured an upgrade to shorties only made sense and knew that BBK put out a product of superior quality and excellent fitment. I did the install in my driveway using mostly hand tools and the occasional hit from my air rachet.

The fitment couldn’t of been better and I was in and out in an long afternoons time. Started and 11am and on the road by 6. 30, with a lunch break. Nobody needs to be intimidated by the install as long as the have the proper tools, BBK removes any concern of fitment issues.

Sounds great to boot!.

Cheap quality headers. Welding slag inside pipes on every pipe. Flanges don’t feel immediate exhaust leak. No sound Improvement or horsepower Improvement. Flange stud stripped out first time installing and also are too short to put it all washers and lock washers on.

Don’t waste your money on these haters I wish I would have saved money and bought the better headers. Junk junk junk. Summit shouldnt sell them.

Header looks great, happy with quality, thick flanges, nice welds, coating looks good. They were a tight fit on my 70 duster 4 speed, manual steering. Had to put a couple dents into the headers (one pipe per side) to add some clearance for torsion bars.

Would be nice if I didn’t need to do this to these nice looking headers. Your results may vary and lots of these have been installed with no issues on Dusters and other A bodies. Just wanted to share my experience.

They’re also a really tight fit. Especially the drivers side. Had to pull torsion bars, steering drag link, a bar for clutch pedal, and jack up the drivers side 2 or 3 inches to slip them in. They look great when installed but not a quick job.

Overall great headers just wish I didn’t have to dent them for proper figment, but yours may fit perfectly fine.

I purchased these headers for a 1972 Plymouth Duster, and they fit perfectly and was a breeze to install. I had tried a cheaper, name brand pair prior to these and had to beat them up so bad to get them installed that I removed them.

They are a little pricey but worth it, and there were no modifications needed (banging up the header) for the Doug’s brand headers.

Headers look great and seems very well built. I was excited to have a set of headers that didn’t block spark plugs but thats were the positives stopped. Good thing I had my 340 out because they were impossible to slide in if the motor wasn’t atleast 1 foot over where it should be.

Drivers side wouldn’t clear the manual steering box. It hurts spending that much money to just take a hammer to them especially when they sat no hammering. Finally got it in and now both headers are hitting steering arms.

Been hammering and testing for about 5 hours now and still not close to fitting. Would not buy again. 72 duster 727 automatic lightly modified 340.

I don’t regret this purchase what so ever. It’s not the most expensive pair of headers and they won’t look the coolest after using them, they start to turn faded color, Which is expected. But I paired mine with JBA’s Catless mid pipes for these and the sound is unreal! Huge difference from, the stock short headers.

Only issue I’ve run into is the MDS kicks in when I’m not throttling it and it will vibrate the car. If you have a lowered car, aka lowering springs or bags, you will have to be careful not to scrape the bottoms on the headers and mid pipes on the ground.

They don’t hang any much lower then the bottom cross frame support. I recommend having someone install these for you just to save you the headache.

I have installed these JBA longtube headers on my 2013 Dodge Charger RT. The install was not the easiest due to the Charger’s limited space underneath the car on one of the sides. If I remember it was the passenger side that gave me the most trouble.

After getting the stock headers off it got a lot easier putting these on. I got the catless pipes to go with the headers and I have to say the ‘gas’ smell I have seen some people complain about is not bad either.

Even at a red light or just sitting for awhile I have barely noticed a difference in smell from before. The greatest difference I have noticed on the ‘smell’ is right at start up or after turning the car off.

They look great, and have a good sound as well! I get compliments all the time. Satisfied so far, after having them installed for the past 6 months.

Just installed on my 2010 SRT8 challenger along with JBA mid pipes and JBA 40-1665 Exhaust Systems. Easy install; taking stock headers out will take patience (about 2 hours each); putting new ones in will take you about 40 minutes each.

When it’s said an done, you will have awoken the sleeping beast in your car; and the sound is amazing; pure american muscle rumble. Kits are complete for headers; include o2 sensor cable extensions. Will need to purchase 2 o2 cable extensions for the mid pipes.

GREAT PRODUCT.

Install is straight forward. I bought different header gaskets cause the ones in the kit looked cheap. The hardware is a joke. Each header requires 6 bolts. The kit came with 8 total. The bolts for the downpipe are also cheap crap.

I upgraded to grade 8 bolts. I sand blasted them after opening packaging to get that coating off. Applied VHT hi temp primer, then painted them silver with VHT hi temp paint to give them better appearance.

Looks better and power increased a little bit.

They look amazing when new. Hours later the paint burns off they look grey real bad. But doesn’t effect performance. The gasket that comes with them. Throw away don’t use. I read the reviews and still tried to use it weeks later the gasket blew and thought we had lifters tapping.

Get the felpro gaskets and install them when you do the initial install. Or else you will be replacing them a month later and it’ll be annoying.

Decent quality. Didn’t come with all 12 bolts. Summit took care of that for free. Bolts for the y pipe aren’t very hi grade. Very small exhaust leaks around collector to header. Welds prolly. Overall there really nice.

Haven’t ran engine yet but pressure tested exhaust. The gaskets are decent. Can’t use all 12 point bolts as the pipes hit. Had to use 2 regular header bolts and 10 locking bolts.

Ordered these headers from the land than down under the land down under (NZ) so always a bit nervous when ordering parts from the states as not so easy to take back for a credit if you’ve got the wrong one.

Perfect fit for my 98 Dodge Ram 1500, nothing required to be changed, easy off with the old and in with the new. I took fellow reviews advice and bought a pair of the aluminum gaskets to use instead of the ones that come with it.

Would definitely recommend. I also have to compliment Summit on shipping, two weeks before Xmas and received internationally within the week. That’s impressive!.

A list of what’s wrong with these headers. 1. They are misaligned to the ports, too low and will leak at the end ports no matter what. 2. The welds are so thick the ports end up too small at the flange and hang into the port window.

flowing less. 3. The collector was designed to leak. What I did to “fix” them. 1. Weld up the bottom of each runner at the flange and corners of end ports. 2. Buy better hardware and gaskets than what came with the headers.

3. Weld on pipes with 3 bolt flange to seal up to the down pipes. They need to go back to the drawing board with these.

it added great performance and sound to my truck. had to clean up the welds on the inside of the manifold where they welded the pipes to the plate that bolts to the head but that realy wasnt an issue.

it was just me being excessive. in all a great price and great product.

I bought these for my 98 dodge ram 1500 with the 318 v8. It sounds amazing with these on it. I run these with 4 foot of 3 inch pipe on both sides true duals and I got a large power gain in the mid range area and my truck is now slammed and sounds mean as he’ll !!!! Super easy installation to only took me 2 hours to do the whole job.

Theses headers warped with less than 3000 miles under normal city and highway driving applications. Contacted Pacesetter and was basically told tough dodo!

Installed these on a ’12 Ram 5. 7 hemi used for towing a medium size RV. The truck developed the broken OEM exhaust stud issue. I got the titanium/ceramic coated SS version. I used factory 5. 7 manifold gaskets and Stage 8 bolts.

It’s hard to see how these headers and bolts could possibly suffer from the broken stud/bolt issue. Quality of these headers appears very good with good welds and a solid, straight flange. The titanium/ceramic finish was downright beautiful even if you can’t see them when installed.

After installation I had no leaks, and the OEM Y-pipe bolted up as well as the stock manifolds. I left the fender wells out temporarily and after a few heat cycles I’ve checked the torque on the Stage 8 bolts, and they have not changed.

a surprise. I think the key is proper torque in the right pattern, OEM gaskets, and good bolts. Power?. no actual dyno results, but they obviously didn’t diminish power. I got them to stop the broken exhaust stud issue.

I have the stock exhaust except for a Borla performance muffler in the same location as stock. The headers did not increase noise. good. The under hood temps do not seem any higher, surprisingly. I still wrapped or readjusted a few items like the heater hoses, some wire looms, AC lines, trans shift cable, etc.

that are somewhat close to the headers. I used DEI Velcro heat wrap tubes for protection. I’m probably just being overly cautious, but towing creates a lot of heat. The stock dipstick can still be used with some creative minor bending and attachment of that upper bolt hole mount.

Getting to all the mounting bolts for tightening is challenging but not that difficult with tweaking a couple of your cheaper box end wrenches. You can’t get a torque wrench on all of them, so you have to use some experience of what 18 foot pounds feels like.

Not hard. So far I’m extremely impressed with these headers.

Purchased the JBA shorty headers to replace the cast iron manifolds and to solve the broken bolt issue on a Ram 5. 7. The installation is more difficult than just replacing the manifolds. Removing the Y pipe is a very good idea for allowing room for the header install.

Very pleased with the header fit, coating and weld quality. I have noticed a slightly louder exhaust note at idle only, (good), and, a bit livelier throttle response. Impressed with the JBA’s!.

Added a deeper tone to my truck and some more power. Great headers, but the gaskets are terrible and cheap. I have an exhaust leak in my gasket on the driver’s side and have to find better gaskets because these do not cut it.

Great headers though and do add power and sound.

When my Ram broke an exhaust manifold bolt, I knew it was time to upgrade. The JBA shorty headers were the way to go. The Ram has a deep and throaty sound that comes with the extra power when I punch it.

This was a great purchase, and if you want it LOUD and PROUD, this is the product for you.

Once I got them installed, I noticed that the engine runs a lot cooler. Also cooled down quicker. Haven’t got a chance to see many other benefits since the roads are icy already. Love the ceramic coating ( just looks amazing) , worth the extra $.

Sound is slightly more aggressive with stock exhaust. Thanks, and I certainly think they are worth it.

I’ve had these on my 2018 Challenger R/T now for over a year. I had these installed along with SOLO Performance High-Flow cats. I had a dynotune done at the same time. I couldn’t be happier. My only other performance mods when getting the dynotune done was a MOPAR CAI and Norla ATAK catback.

Needless to say, I dyno’d at 375 rwhp. A year later the shorties still look brand new! You don’t see many reviews for these headers for some reason. I know going into it I couldn’t find any really, and I scoured forums.

But they’re incredibly high quality and worth the extra coin if you’re like me and not going the LT header route. I also bought brand new OEM gaskets and tossed the ones that came with these headers FYI.

I’d recommend doing that.

These shorties add great tone to your exhaust. They definitely open the flow of your exhaust over stock manifolds, you can really feel the difference in the mid rpm range. Not as loud as long tube, doesn’t wake the neighborhood.

I installed these while i had the heads off for a cam swap, so i can’t really speak to install difficulty.

I Spent allot time looking into buying headers back and fourth debating long tube or short. For ease of other mods to come didn’t want long tubes in way. Or have to extend any wiring. Drivers side went on pretty easy but passenger side was a lot more work.

Motor mount bolt was to long come out so I had put header on with motor mount in the way. After getting them on and kept factory cats Very happy with the way it sounds. No check engine lights I am using pcm came with scat pack stage one.

Need get it on dyno see what it’s putting out horse power. Mpg has stayed the same Seeing if heat going bother valve covers some saying should used mopar gaskets. So far no troubles. I’m very happy with the purchase and not too bad to install just using car Ramps.

The install was done by a qualified shop, on a lift which made it so much easier. The fit and quality is excellent and the sound is incredible. These arent break the bank LTH and are well worth the price.

No codes after uploading the tune so we are good there as well. i shouldve done this long ago and cell phone audio clips do not do it justice. Do not waste your money on cheap Ebay junk. The only negative was mine came with coarse threaded bolt and it requires fine threads, Shop was prepared for that as they hae seen it before and had plenty.

Highly recommend shop install unless you have a lift.

I just finished the installation of the BBK stainless long tubes along with the x-pipe with high flow CATs. The fit was perfect but beware of the following: 1) The most disappointment came when I started the car up.

The AM websites states the following: “Recommended Upgrade. To realize the full power potential that these Long Tube Headers have to offer, AmericanMuscle recommends a custom tune with a Handheld Tuner to reprogram the Pony’s computer (ECU) for proper operation.

” When I started the car it is running so rich that it can’t even be driven, Black smoke is pouring out the back and when you lift the gas pedal you get a snap crackle and pop so bad that you think it’s about to blow up.

Contacted AM to be told that a Tune is not recommended but required. BEWARE, YOU APPEAR TO NEED A TUNE. 2) If you watch the AM video for these it will warn you that it’s going to be a job. It will be as you need to rock the engine to get enough clearance to get the old out and new in.

For the drivers side you should not need to remove the motor mount from the block but on the passenger side, you need to along with pulling the starter. 3) The flange plate on the x-pipe which connects the x-pipe to the header does not give enough clearance to get a box wrench on the nut.

If they extended the flange plate just 1/4″ more on either side you would be able to. If you don’t have a lift, good luck as I can’t imagine doing this without one. The fit however is great. I now need to get the car running to be able to experience it.

It sucks that I can’t drive it after spending an entire weekend working on it.

Had these installed when car (2011) was new. They rusted out (nature of mortal things) and I replaced them in the last year or so. Had them installed by a local auto shop and it wasn’t expensive in my estimation.

The Mustang (V6) certainly gets better mileage; I have not checked the horsepower rating, but have no doubt it’s better as well.

Installation was easy. No issues with the product at all. Infact I’m astonished by the product fit and finish. I bought a cheap pair of headers off of amazon and they had a lot of clearance issues with my dakota.

I bought these and had no issue whatsoever. I am currently driving it with just the down pipe installed and it sounds like it belongs on a drag strip. Compared to the stock manifold. These headers will turn heads.

Very easy install compaired to stainless headers. Very wrench friendly. One down turn, I have to make a trip to the muffler shop. They don’t match up to my exhaust. So plan a trip and the open headers.

They look great. These are going on my 2001 Dodge Ram 368. Mild cam. If your going to get headers spend the money on these. The other cheap ones. Will not last long and if you wrap them it just makes it that much harder to install plus the fiber glass in your arms.

The heat they put off is nothing compaired to the non coated headers.

Installation wasn’t near as bad as I’d feared, and went quite well. The fit, finish, and performance are what I expect from Gibson — from the heads to the tailpipe, the only piece that isn’t Gibson is the catalytic converter.

My old truck sounds good, the view under the hood looks good, I’m using overdrive (here in the Rockies) where I couldn’t before, and my fuel economy is up, too.

I ordered these headers for my ’95 Chevy C1500 with a recently installed Edelbrock crate engine. They were easy to install and they fit perfectly. The driver’s side install was extremely easy, no rubbing or bumping during the install.

The passenger’s side took some finagling to get the headers into position due to the distance between the frame and the transmission, but there was just enough space to angle between the bell housing and the frame.

After a test fit, I sandblasted the headers and painted them; they look great.

Bought these for my 93 k1500 everything went in with little issues. But I recommend getting longer hardware with Allen head because you have to run thicker manifold gaskets. Tried stock ones blew em out after about 350 miles.

Other than that great build quality.

I put these in a 1991 C1500 SWB with the passenger side offset motor. They fit, they do straight bolt up. The drivers side went in perfect from the bottom, but it comes out right in the center of the transmission crossmember.

Not a big deal if you know solid exhaust people. The passenger side was slightly more tricky to get in place. I even had the inner fenders out. They go in from the top but had maybe 1/32 of clearness on the frame with one pipe.

Not a big deal if you purchased black planning on having to massage them to fit. Used a rounded metal handle and hot with a hammer to make a small dent for frame clearence. Number plug is an mother to get out.

I will unbolt headers to change plugs, but that’s me. Grinder down factory spark plug wire brackets, and dip stick so the still mount factory. Slight bending of dipstick needed. You will have to cut your power steering bracket mounted to factory header.

Grind wheel did a nice straight cut. After it all the fit very well. I have full duals with an X pipe and they sound great. 4 stars only for not mentioning the mods needed even though they were not difficult to complete.

Will pay to have them ceramic coated since they now truly fit. Great headers they have nice thick flanges.

Look and sound of the headers is nice. I give 4 stars because of the included gaskets being garbage. They held a seal for about 2 days of casual driving. About 50 miles total. Also the inner bolt holes on either side of cylinder 3 and 5 exhaust tube are almost impossible to get a bolt in.

I elected to install shortened studs then had no choice but to cut down a 13mm bolt to fit properly. Also invest in some nice copper gasket and I would recommend applying a nice bead of permatex copper gasket maker as well.

After a second tear down and new gaskets the headers do there job. No noticeable fuel economy change but it does seam to get up and move slightly better. I also installed an exhaust and new intake. Would recommend a high temp set of plug wires though.

These babies get very hot.

These are the best pipes I have researched and found these are the bang for the bucks I wanted to fit my motor. These headers sound really nice with just stock exhaust on my truck for now. I can’t wait to put my new dual exhaust as my added performance for the new motor I just got from the factory… I love what I have added to my new engine and will update this post later….

For the most part everything fit ok. Passenger side rubs the frame a little where it connects to the Y-pipe. Other than that, the steel seems good and are better made than the pacesetters that they replaced due to cracking.

No difference noted performance wise.

Even though these headers are not listed to fit a 03 Dodge Ram 2 wheeled drive they fit mine perfectly. The only issue I had was the driver side header fits close to the electrical and fuel line on that side of the truck.

I used header heat wrap around the fuel line, emission, and electrical. Been this way for at least 3 months without any issues. The headers are well coated and I couldn’t be happier with them. The exhaust shop welded header flanges on so I can remove the exhaust any time I needed.

The exhaust shop welded them from the inside so not to destroy the coating. Happy Moparing.

These headers look really good and sound great, but installation was a nightmare. The drivers side was so far out of shape that I had to hammer a spot down by the bell housing just to get the bolts in.

After that I had to use bottle jacks to bend and twist the collector and tubes to clear the front drive line. It looked like the jig for the drivers side had sagged down before they started welding the tubes up.

Passenger side fell right in and sat perfectly.

They look good, but haven’t been able to install them yet. It took almost 6 months to receive them, so the truck is in winter storage now. Hope they fit like their suppose too.

Fits very well and sounds great. Dont use the gray sealer it comes with. Buy a set of header or even stock manifold gaskets. It seals much better. A little disappointed because I was told I needed a tuner.

What I wasnt told was that there was no way to keep the check engine light off without a custom tune and even then no guarantee it will stay off. Not really a big issue but just a little annoying. Thats why the 4 stars not 5.

Again they fit great and sound awesome.

Very high quality welds, high quality hardware, great sound and noticeable power increase. Install went smoothly, had a minor issue with 3 of the 02 sensors not wanting to thread in. Had to ream out the hole because the fittings weren’t centered over the hole.

Also noticed a lot of metal shavings still in the pipes, little air compressor clear out did the trick. Power definitely picked up higher RPMS. Paired the X pipe with twin Borla XR-1s. Those brought back a lot of lower RPM power.

Not to mention my truck sounds perfect now, no clapping just a deep rumble and the perfect shift sounds.

First off let me say this. The fit and finish was perfect. The disassembly and reassembly was a royal pain. I hated my life lol. Previously to this install I have a Borla s-type system with dual exits on passenger side.

The o2 sensor extensions that were sent did not fit my truck, so I had to cut and splice what I needed for the rear o2 sensors. A tune is also required once you’re done. Now I’m looking at finding a quieter muffler because my truck is so loud it could wake the dead.

But it sounds like a racecar. If I had to do it over I probably wouldn’t have.

Bought these to put on my 01 Dakota 4. 7. Bolted on without any issues. Due to a new engine. As the engine getting broken in, noticed a difference in gas mileage, a bit more power, and low noise compared to most headers.

No issues with the headers at all. No burn holes,, as my truck is at stock height. Plenty of clearance. Also bought the header locks too, so the bolts won’t back out. Both worth the money. Would buy these again.

Although the appearance of JBA headers for my 2006 Dodge Ram 4. 7 look great, and the price to value was good, the installation was not good at all. The number 7 cylinder pipe on the header was out so far it hit the steering Wheel shaft not allowing The install of that header.

I had to smash the pipe in with a sledge hammer to install the header and it still hits the steering shaft when making a semi fast right hand turn which impedes my steering Coming out of that turn. I would not recommend the.

Shorty headers easy fit took a little time on the left side driver’s side but everything went in OK should get you a pair
