20 Best Headbands For Short Hair (2023 Updated)

I have a bigger head that makes it so hard to find headbands that don’t just slip off the back. But these actually stay. They are made out of a plastic-rubber mix that are so soft and don’t dig into you skin.

Love them.

I’ve tried these headbands so many times because so many people love them but honestly I just don’t like them very much. Yes they’re cute I’ll give them that, and they stay in my hair pretty well, but they also break my hair so much that I try to avoid them! This type (Nike brand) generally keeps their elasticity pretty well which is nice especially if you’re like me and have a small head.

Also it beats using prewrap or other elastic type materials that break easier because you can reuse these for quite a long time. The inside has rubber so they don’t slip off your head as easily which indeed works for the most part but it also sticks to your hair and when it does move it doesn’t just slide it pulls your hair out with it.

It is nice that it isn’t too bulky or gives you a tan line but because it is so stretchy and thin it typically makes a grooved line in your hair. All in all if you really need a headband that’s going to keep your hair back and stay put for a while this will do the job.

Just be prepared there are some downsides.

Should be used to false advertising with Nike by now, but this one might take the cake. In the photos this headband looks nice, structured, absorbent. In reality it is flimsy, thin, and is useless to stop sweat from getting in your eyes.

It becomes full of sweat at the hint of moisture and for nearly $20, I would expect more. A sleeve cut off of an old shirt and crammed over your head would stop much, much more sweat.

Bought this for my 17 year old son for his varsity/club soccer. He has a lot of hair! Son wears them every day he plays soccer for the past year. These headbands work great for him, and keeps his hair in place, and from going all over the place.

These headbands are just as suitable for boys/men with a lot of hair as girls. Great product, great price!.

Waited to order this and finally gave in and was excited to get them. One of them was supposed to be a gift for a friend! I was disappointed when it arrived as it was too big for my head (it is an infinity head band) and the material has barley any elasticity in it.

It is half the size (wide) of any other head wraps I have, The material is very thin, almost see through. :-(.

I’ve seen these same headbands in the stores for more than double the price. Regardless of prices this is an amazing headband. I have multiple colors. I had to wash and dry it for the first time and I have seen no discoloration or changes.

I have been so very happy with my purchase, that I went on tonight and bought additional colors :).

I have a small to average sized adult head size. These headbands are very comfortable, as I wear them all day. I hardly know I have them on. They stay in place well because of the textured material covering them.

They are not two pieces of material glued together that get sticky and separate when warm. I would buy these again.

I buy these headbands in bulk and have for 16 years. Recently they have downgraded the quality and tons of people are complaining. Please change back to the old way of making them. They were so much better – firmer, longer and a better fit.

I imaging I have spent some $20,00 on headbands or more, but will need to change dealers if the quality doesn’t improve.

I’ve been using these headbands for 20+ years. every single day. The product quality has changed and is horrible. The inside strip that holds the fabric in place starts peeling off and falls apart within a week or two.

The old ones would last at least a year. even with washing and drying. Please go back to the old ones. Thanks.

These hairbands keep hair away from face when working outside. Gentle, lightweight to wear, unlike other flexible hair bands. Neutral colors for summer.

I have been wearing Goody Shoe String headbands for decades because 1) they hold back long hair, 2) they are weightless, and 3) they are smooth (zero hair damage) and loose-fitting. They are the only hair implements I can use to hold back my heavy hair without getting headaches.

These headbands are cute and very comfortable to wear. They can be adjusted to fit girls and women. They are padded so they don’t snag and break your hair. They are fashionable and versatile.

these are so great. with pandemic hair so hard to deal with otherwise. Incredible price. they looked very small but actually fit great and are so light I can wear one all day and forget about it because I can’t even feel the little teeth and they don’t touch my ears.

I have chronic migraines and can’t wear anything too thick or tight. Many times headbands slip off my head and cause headaches. Thin ones are very hard to find. I can’t wear ponytails or buns so with these thin headbands I can wear my hair down with style.

I love the look of a bandana, but my due to my weird shaped head, they always slip and I have to readjust all day. This adorable headband let’s me have the look without the discomfort. It stays in place all day without slipping or pinching.

These are great for keying your hair tucked away when washing your face but I actually found another great use for them. I suffer from extremely dry eyes to the point of having to use prescription eye drops twice a day.

I also have to use a CPAP at night. I have found it difficult to find a good sleeping mask that keeps the air from the CPAP from sneaking in and blowing across my eyes while I sleep. If I found a mask to keep the air out it was typically too tight and very uncomfortable to wear.

I now actually put one of the turbies on at night and then pull it down until it just hits the middle of the bridge of my nose. Since my CPAP mask sits just below my nose and covers my mouth, this has worked great to block any air from blowing across my eyes but remains very comfortable to wear.

I never thought this would replace the headband I’d used forever when cleaning my face & diy facials. After using PTR Irish Moor Clay facial I knew I needed something to better hold my hair back, enter this set of 5.

It worked great for me. I was gifting PTR set of 3 facial masks for Christmas & decided to toss 1 in the stocking for the 4 girls on my list. I have to say when they saw the turbies they drew quite the confused looks apparently no one had ever seen them before, it was a bit of embarrassment & a lot of laughter & oh now I get it when the girl’s figured out how to use them, followed by howls from the guys guessing tube tops are back in style! Everything worked out just fine.

We all use our turbies as intended & share a laugh at the confusing looks we will shared How they will stand up overtime, only time will tell, but so far it’s all good. I have been looking for an alternative to drugstore hair accessories. I finally found these head bands. I have grey hair and was always looking for styles that would complement my hair color yet “pop.

” I chose 3 different bands and they are all beautiful, stylish and super comfortable. I may move up to a wider band to really “show off. ”.

This headband is well priced, goes well with my salt and pepper hair and does an excellent job staying in place without giving me a headache like some other headbands. My hair looks fuller and it is age appropriate for a 53 year old woman.

I agree with prior reviewers that the headband is of nice quality and would be comfortable to wear all day. However, I think it looks much thicker in person than it does in the photos. It is much larger than other knotted-style headbands I have.

I purchased several of these as a backup since I already have the same one, and wanted to get more in case they get discontinued. It is extremely comfortable and the way it is made gives a lift with a little bit of body at the top.

Bought these for my daughter as she plays soccer to keep her hair out of her face while playing. She has worn them while training and loves how they fit and that the silicone strip on the inside stops them from moving while running.

The work so well my wife has stolen a few to wear while we do gym workouts to hold her hair back and has the same to say about them. All in all a great product that does as it was intended.

These do not slip. My hair is soft and I have tried so many headbands over the years to keep hair out of my face whilst training. These are great as they do not slip and since they are not very wide they fit the shape of my head really well.

I can also wear two at a time and the colours look great.

These headbands are awesome. I love the different colours and patterns and they all look really cool. The grippy silicone on the inside of the headband does a great job of keeping it in place without digging into your head.

I have found that the first time you wear each of the headbands it is quite tight and a bit uncomfortable but it stretches to the size of your head really easily and well. Great price for a great product.

oh, this headband is so nice. and it isnt only fit for short hair- it works well with longer hair too, though the hair may cover part of the headband. its well made and very neatly stitched. you can adjust the length of the headband to the size of your head so its comfortable for all sizes.

The headband is kind of cute but the little rosette part is hidden close to my ear so you cannot see it. I also think this would work better if you could unhook the clasp and lay it on your hair instead of sliding it over the hair and then having to rearrange the style.

I have medium-long hair, and when I tried it on, it felt pretty good. It felt like it would stay on, but time will tell. If I have difficulty, I will update this review. I just wanted women with longer hair to not be afraid to try this pretty, “different” hair band.

I really love the look of these headbands, and the quality is excellent. I just have a small head, I guess, because they didn’t stay in place long. I used bobby pins to try to hold the headband in place, but that was hard because I have really short, pixie-cut hair.

I’m sure these will work wonderfully for people with thicker hair or those that don’t have a small head!.
