Love it! I purchased this last year after doing extensive research and reading thousands of in-depth reviews. This electric head shaver does not disappoint, especially for the competitive price. I shave my head using the pre shave oil with the BaladiePro which takes about 4 minutes to complete a full head shave.

It gets 99% as close as a Gillette Fusion 5 blade razor, but I no longer have to deal with the mess of clean up resulting from hairs all over the place. This unit catches all the hair without the blade for a mess-free shave.

It’s also extremely easy to clean the unit by running it under hot water with some soap. I’d like to mention that you must clean it after every shave to keep it functioning properly. If you’re in the market for a good electric head shaver that will make shaving easier & quicker, then definitely give this one a go! You won’t be disappointed I promise.

I bought the BaldiePro as I had heard many great things from family and friends but I was still a little skeptical. As someone who regulary grooms – I have a lot of experience so here’s my review that I hope helps you make an easier buying decision.

First, I was pretty much blown away after my first shave and pretty blown away with how close of a shave it provided. I’ve had it now for about 6 months and it’s still performing as it did the first day.

It’s very easy to hold in your hand, has a high speed motor (10,000 RPM) and a great battery life. One BIG tip is to make sure you give it a good clean after each shave. Just like anything the more you care for it the better it will continue perform.

If you don’t clean the hair out after each shave it will run at a slower pace. Overall this thing is a beast and will make grooming your bald head SO much EASIER!.

I’m glad to share my experience with the Balder Pro Shaver. If you are even considering getting a rotary shaver for your head, get this one. I’ve already verbally recommended it to three friends. Pros: – Easy to handle – I have a medium sized hand, it’s easy to hold onto (I did read that someone dropped theirs and it broke, so i do try to keep a hold of it.

– Works in the shower – I have a mirror in the shower, I lather up my head and then run the shaver over it. Easy. I clean it with the shower head. – Very close shave – I’ve never used a straight razor, but this is pretty dang close.

I had some razor burn on my the back of my neck (is that the nape?) but now i use an after shave lotion after i get out of the shower. – Battery life is great! – last time i charged it was over two weeks ago.

I use it every two days for less than 5 minutes in the shower. There is a red light that comes on when it needs to be recharged. – Comes with a carrying bag – I love having a bag for my stuff. everything is easy to be packed into the small zippered bag, it should be easy to carry in my backpack or luggage.

It also comes with an oil dropper and brush to clean the inside of the head and upper portion of the razor. Cons: -Plastic components – As mentioned above, i read a review that said they dropped their items and it broke.

It seems sturdy enough to me, but the prongs that come out of the head and slip into the body are plastic and I’m constantly afraid of those breaking whenever i take the head off or on. which i do a lot.

You take the head off to oil it, to clean it, etc. Maybe i should just get an extra head for backup -Not sure how long the head will last – I’ve read that it should last a year. This isn’t really a con, but we’ll see how it goes.

I’ve had the product for a couple months now and use it consistently. I wouldn’t do that, or write this, if i didn’t enjoy the product. Happy Shaving!.

Overall, I’m pleased with my purchase. I never get the fast, close shaves other people talk about, not with any shaver, but with a little more time this unit does a decent job. I am consistently left with a bit of stubble I can barely feel on the back of my head but there’s nothing visible.

It’s a lot more comfortable than trying to shave my head with a regular shaver, and gets better results. It says not to but out of curiosity I tried it on my face and it worked fine, it doesn’t shave super close but it’s comfortable and leaves you perfectly presentable.

I docked one star because it takes about two or three times longer than it claims.

This shaver does NOT deliver on its promises. First, it takes four hours to fully charge. From this, you’re supposed to get 55 minutes of shaving time. In reality, you get about 10-15. (Someone else’s here mentioned they get six 3-minute shaving sessions, so that’s 18 minutes.

still nowhere near what’s advertised. ). Second, the shaving heads don’t give you a close shave, there’s always stubble. And you’ll be running that shaver repeatedly over the same areas just to get that stubble.

In summary: does not perform as advertised. I was hoping for something better by Remington. It’s too bad because it’s a nice-looking shaver.

I bought the Pitbull Shaver Silver and was very good to use as it didnt give the same rash and sensitive skin after using a razor. Wet and dry was a very good unit, However only after 2nd year prob 24months to be exact battery died, and the warranty only covers 12M, so i cant do anything about it now! For $180 i would expect the battery to last longer.

My partner loves this. Easy to use, convenient and shaves really well. Shaves better with shaving oil. Obviously due to the size he isn’t able to get under the nose/ behind ears area. He loves being able to shave his face and head whilst watching TV.

Use time per charge is sufficient if hair isn’t too long. Highly recommend!.

On receipt, I charged it and after some weeks use every few days, I still haven’t had to charge it yet. Gives a nice close shave and is just SO easy to use. A big plus is that it collects the hair inside so no mess anywhere.

Of course whilst using, it is necessary to keep it clean with the provided brush. Keep in mind it is necessary to use on short hair.

If this shaver were to break, I would replace it with the same one almost immediately. The shaver is easy to hold, light weight, discharges slowly, and cleans up afterwards very easily and quickly. I bought this based on a recommendation from a friend.

I have been buzz cutting/trimming my hair at the lowest setting on my trimmers (0. 8mm) every week or so for the past year. I was getting pretty efficient and could do the trimming process in less than 5 minutes, but the clean up time afterwards took too long.

I was looking for a simple, repeatable solution to keep my hair very short and speed up the clean up time to almost nothing. The pitbull was the solution. I run the pitbull every 3 days and it takes about 5 min to shave my head and face.

I’ve shaved with and without shaving cream, and the shaving cream does help smooth out any irritation issues. The trim is closer than a buzz cut but quite as close as a blade cut. The sides of my head get a very smooth to the touch feeling but the rest of the areas are just slightly prickly.

It takes about 3 days for my hair to grow back out enough to look like the buzz cut I was doing. There are places on my head that take several passes: edge of hair line just in front of/over my ears, hair line behind my ears and down towards my neck, beard hair under my chin and down the front of my neck, and just under my nostrils.

There are likely several reasons for this but they tend to be in tight areas where navigating the 4 rotating heads is difficult and/or I haven’t developed the right technique for those areas yet. I would like to try the three headed blades on my face at some point to see if that does a better job.

I was less than impressed with the baby beast and beast pro clippers. There are better and cheaper options on the market for beard, hair and body trimmers.

This thing looks good, feels good, and does a pretty awesome job on my skull. I use it wet with a shaving creme for daily shaving. As long as I settle in and take my time, it doesn’t leave anything behind.

It cleans easily under water, though it takes more than the stated, single, 5-second dip to get clear; usually 3-4 times in the tank. It loses charge at 5 percentage points per day. After using it daily for over a week, it is sitting at 60%.

It came fully charged and I haven’t plugged it in since I got it. I used it one time on my neck under my beard, and that was a mistake. Most of the red marks from that are starting to clear up. For the price and the appearance, I was expecting a stainless steel body and head stem, but it is all plastic.

That helps make it lightweight, but I find my hand wanting more substance. It is quiet enough so you don’t have to worry about waking the other monks when you are shaving. Overall, I would recommend the style.

I haven’t used the less-expensive models, but I wonder whether the features of the Platinum PRO are worth the price difference. Like the other models, this comes with one of the shaving heads, with no chance to try the others out, but when it is time I will replace the stock head as it seems well-suited to my nut.

Bought this for my husband for Father’s Day- there was a bundle with the beast clipper and the baby beast trimmer. He used the beast clipper first for his hair (no attachment) and beard (6mm attachment).

Then followed with the platinum shaver for a closer shave on the head (the shaver is perfect for weekly maintenance). The design and presentation on these items is just fantastic, not only they look SUPER COOL (they look fancier IRL) but the performance on both is amazing.

No irritation on the head (Note- this was his first ‘close shave’) and he was very happy with the ease of use, and how fast he was able to go over all areas (in matter of minutes, which was not the case before).

They also come fully charged- you can take them out of the box and use right away. The only item we haven’t tried is the baby beast trimmer that came in the bundle, but we might save it and gift it to someone (either one of these would make a great gift for a loved one, or for yourself!).

Absolutely worth the money!!! I ordered additionally another blue travel case for the clipper (the platinum shaver already comes with one!). If you’re on the fence- go for it, you absolutely will not be disappointed!.

I’m really pleased with how close of a shave I get with this head shaver. I wasn’t’ sure if I would love the pre-shave oil as I’ve previously used more of a cream but the oil is better and less messy.

I also like the refreshing lemon scent. My wife was happy to see that it is more natural than some of the other products I use.

I’ve waited until 8 months of ownership to write this review and can honestly say I’m really happy with the skull shaver and would definitely recommend it to those considering buying one. One of my main motivators for buying was finding wet shaving my head every 4-5 days a bit of a faff, time consuming & messy.

Whilst wet shaving always guaranteed an absolutely smooth swede it also left me with a very shiny and ‘oily’ head for the first couple of days and despite my best efforts I’d sometimes end up with nicks and cuts.

With the skull shaver I shave every 3 days and whilst it doesn’t shave as close as a razor it’s honestly the next best thing and a lot quicker. Each shave takes around 4-5 minutes and requires very little clean up with all the hair being caught in the unit itself.

Personally I don’t use any products or shave gel, instead just a splash of water when going over an area for a second pass to prevent any uncomfortable rubbing. I’ve found the best method is to effectively split my head into 3 ‘areas’ – Top/Left-Hand Side & Back/Right-Hand Side & Back.

I’ll go over each ‘area’ with the shaver then submerge the foils in water for a few seconds whilst its running which expels the trapped hair before going over the same ‘area’ again for a final pass. The unit is well designed, isn’t very heavy and is easy to hold in a number of different ways as described in the instructions.

Each shave uses around 6-7% of the battery so it doesn’t need charging too often. The only negative is that when the battery display shows below 15% it seems to lose its accuracy. I’ve had it jump quickly from 15 to 0% stopping mid shave.

My advice would be to charge the unit up when it reaches 20% to avoid any issues. I’ve let my hair to grow out for 6 days and used the skull shaver and had no problems getting a smooth shave, it just took a few minutes longer but still quicker than a wet shave.

Personally I’ve had no irritation as a result of using the skull shaver and normally just follow it up with a face/head moisturiser (Boots No7 men’s is my recommendation). Cleaning the unit is easy, simply remove the foil cover and rinse under the tap.

You can also leave the silver head submerged and turned on in water for a minute to clear out any small bits of hair. I’d recommend buying the cleaning stand (only a tenner) to do this as it also doubles up as a stand for the unit to sit upright and dry naturally.

After 8 months of use I’ve just purchased a new set of foils from this site however the originals are still going strong so I can see myself keeping the new ones as a spare for a few months at least.

I’ve tried many of these head shavers over the last few years with various results. The Pitbull has been the best of them by far and for a few reasons. First, the overall performance. I shave my head every fourth day and have always had issues with these electric razors not being able to pick up the hair on the very back of my head, where it still grows in relatively thick.

The Pitbull doesn’t seem to struggle nearly as much to actually pick up and cut the hair there. Second – Ease of cleaning. Because the whole blade assembly pops off, it makes it very easy to rinse out the heads.

Others i’ve tried that only flip open and don’t easily detach are much more difficult to clean. The worst offender of this was the Freedom grooming razor. That one had 4 separate heads to open and then a center head that is supposed to unlock and open but the whole cleaning process took almost as long as the shave.

Third: Hair storage. There is plenty of space under the blades to shave your entire head, even with four days of growth, without needing to stop and empty it. Others i’ve tried didn’t seem to take this into account.

again with Freedom Grooming being the worst offender with only a tiny ring of space for hair under each head. I don’t want to stop halfway through to clean out the hair. Finally, overall build quality and ergonomics seem spot on.

I also like that you can see what percentage of battery you have left instead of just an led light. Overall, this was more than I wanted to spend on a head shaver, but at the end of the day, when it’s a product you’re going to use hundreds if not thousands of times, it’s worth the cost to get something that performs well.

So I hate writing reviews. but I love reading them before I purchase so I figure I would finally give back. I was incredibly reluctant cop to the price tag of any of the pitbull skull shaver products cause it was more expensive than I wanted to pay, yet I thought the concept of the technology was cool and inspired.

So I went on amazon and found cheaper knock offs. I have ridden that ride at least two times and each time the knock offs never cut my hair to the scalp and left my head with razor bumps. For context I’m black, with coarse Curley( nappy) hair, and a sensitive scalp.

I’m not balding, I just enjoy the look and it’s easier/cheaper to maintain since I have to adhere to military grooming standards on a weekly basis. I have tried razors with shaving cream before, including straight razors with shaving butter and more common Gillet type razors.

My scalp bumps up everytime. So I finally decide to try the expensive stuff, with the comfort of knowing there is at least a return policy. This Pitbull shaver is some good piece of gear! Smooth cut, know Knicks, works quick, cuts down to the scalp, and charge straight out box that lasted the entire cut! The only downside is that it only reduced about 98% of razor bumps(still dope).

Two days after the cut I have noticed the back lower part of my head has developed slight bumping, but less than when I use clippers so I ‘m not pressed about it. Bottom Line If you have a sensitive scalp but want to cut your own bald head, then this product will work for you.

I had a similar one and stepped up to this because it has more shave heads. Glad I did. Big improvement! Surprised at how flexible and contouring the shave heads were. Was able to get a nice close shave.

Powerful, clean cut, easy to clean out. A must for baldies. Nose attachment works good for ear and nose. Haven’t used the others but I expect the same from them.

I have literally put blood, sweat, and I’m not ashamed to admit, a few tears into shaving. I had given up on razors and started using balding clippers a couple years ago. If you can imagine an ice rink before the Zamboni smooths it out, then you can imagine the top of my head! The hair has always grown in different directions up there along with grooves and dips! 3 weeks ago I had finally come close to perfecting cutting my hair without a 1/2 guard on my clippers.

It usually took me about 15-20 minutes to cut my hair. Once my shaver came in I trimmed my hair down with my clippers, hopped in the shower, applied the Herbal Shaving Cream(which I highly recommend), and began the fastest, most effective shaving experience of my life! I followed the instructions, and the shaver performed perfection.

The first shave took 5 minutes due to me being a little cautious about my pressure. The second took no more than 3. The Zamboni of Shaving tools in my opinion! I highly recommend both the shaver and Herbal Shaving Cream.

So I’m actually in the Army and brought the Palm Shaver with me on a 3 week field exercise. Straight up outside, no regular showers or laundry for that whole time. Shaving with a razor is annoying when you’re sweating balls every day and aren’t really able to clean or wash your face.

I learned from a couple of senior enlisted that the easiest way to keep your face looking fresh in the field is to have a great electric razor. The Palm shaver exceeded expectations. I only had to charge it once the whole time.

It took only a few minutes with a tiny mirror and no water or shaving cream to clean up my face every morning. It has a low whirring sound that is easily drowned out by generators if you need to be discreet or get ready in the dark when people next to you are still sleeping.

It gets basically as close as a razor, my face feels very smooth afterwards, no stubble whatsoever until later in the evening. It’s super easy to use and clean. A couple of the guys are jealous and asked me about it.

I recommend it to everyone that asks. I also purchased the stand which helps protect it when It’s jostling around in a hygiene kit. I would recommend washing it quickly with some dish soap to help keep the blades clean and fresh, but it worked well through the exercise with no deep cleaning.

Overall I love it and am so glad I have it.

Great for us bald guys BUT I can’t stress enough that the main shaving head is literally nearly impossible to remove. Perhaps side tabs for gripping would help some, but not that much. Anyone with even a little arthritis in their hands will find it difficult, if not down right injurious, to pull that part off for cleaning.

I know, cause I’m that guy!!!! It does a great job, but also pay attention to the caveat that your hair must already be short enough for the foils to catch and cut it. Otherwise, you’ll want to send it back when in fact it does a great job.

Use mine every day, but will need to figure out something to get the head off to clean it. I can’t believe it got through QC without this issue arising. My grip is actually pretty good for 69 years old.

It’s easy to use and clean while delivering a smooth close shave. Problably the closest I can get without using a straight razor. Well designed with an easy functional grip. It’s worth every penny in my book!.

I use to shave my head with a razor every week, but since I purchased this product I don’t have the need to do so as much. It’s easy to use and does the job of keeping my head shinny and hair free. I strongly recommend this product.

This is my 2nd Series 9. I bought it as spare to my 5-year old 9290 which is still in good condition with the original blade/foil. I bought it because I am very impressed with the build quality of the series 9 and it was on sale so I grabbed it and never regretted my decision.

i like the fast charging time, build quality, battery level indicator, and don’t worry about the blade/foil it will last you years. I used mine (the first unit) daily for the past 5 years and never changed the blade once, just make sure to clean daily as the blade captures fine hair particles and may restrict some movement of the springs.

did i mention the series 9 is the best looking shaver out there?.

There are so many models/numbers that it was a little overwhelming trying to decide which one to buy but after researching online I decided on the 9385. Amazing shaver! It used to take me 15 minutes to shave with my old Series 5 Braun but now it takes 3.

Light weight and quiet. My old one I could just take the cord and plug it in when I was traveling to recharge it so I was a little worried about not being able to do that with my new one. But not to worry.

On a recent trip I shaved every day for a week without recharging and it never even slowed down. It really holds a charge. The price seemed a little steep but after the first shave I was sold. If you can afford it I would definitely recommend it.

My husband always gets ingrown hairs when he uses power shavers. They never seem to get those little hairs that grow in the other direction but this razor has exceeded his expectations so far. He gets a nice close shave and it gets all the weird hairs, too.

I was nervous about spending so much money on this but its worth every penny to not hear him complain about ingrown hairs anymore. hahaha. I might try it on my legs one day. shhhhh!!.

5 main gripes and none of these features are beneficial (vs. old wet / dry models) to the consumer. increase cost of ownership and earlier product replacement to benefit of P&G / Procter & Gamble: 1) The new model only works cordless.

it will not work corded… For the times you forgot to charge the shaver the day before and are in a rush in the morning, good luck! When contacted Braun customer service about it, a smug reply said since it can be used wet and dry, they disabled the corded operation!!! My old Series 720S-3 model (and ever Series 5) were all designed to be used wet and dry.

So when battery ages fast, the shaver is dead or need expensive service to replace the battery, this ‘enhancement’ does nothing for the consumer. 2) the protective plastic cap that was handy to protect the blade is gone.

This was handy to just leave the shaver charging on the counter while blade is protected. Now, one has to use the ugly, enormous cleaning station just to keep the blade protected. 3) the gigantic cleaning station is an expensive gadget that occupies premium real estate space on the bathroom counter top (competing with sonic toothbrush, curlers and what not… while trying to keep the place looking tidy!).

Instead, I prefer to just use the brush to clean and apply shaver saver lubricant spray which also disinfects and makes the shaver feel as new for the next shave. 4) the on / off button is located higher on S9, right where my thumb falls when holding the shaver.

This accidentally turns off the shaver in the middle of the shave. With S7 and S8, this accidental turning off just did not happen! 5) finally, the most important factor being the closeness of shave.

I just can not get that same closeness of shave as with my good old S7. Besides, the replacement blade on this model is twice the cost!!! I was so confident of Braun when I purchased, I threw the box away.

Then, hugely disappointed with the ‘enhancement’ gimmicks and worse from the shallow custom service. In summary, I am so glad of Costco return policy that I was able to return it without the box.

I purchased this product about 2 months ago when my older 7000 series shaver finally gave out after more than 5 years. I had used a 3000 series before, and the 7000 was a great upgrade and provided a clean comfortable shave.

I thought the 9000 series was an upgrade from the 7000, but apparently I was completely wrong. My first shave with this razor was extremely painful, pulling hairs constantly and also provided a much worse cut than my old 7000 series.

After my first shave with it the very first response my wife gave me was “Why didn’t you use the new shaver you just got?” That hurt almost as much as the shave. In any case, I decided it might just be the new style of shaver head and my beard/face needed time to “adapt” and gave it a while.

After one month, no change, and today is the 2 month anniversary and I’m done with this razor. It still pulls multiple times every shave with just one day worth of hair growth, and I have to shave twice as long (at least) to get anywhere near the closeness of shave I get with my old 7000 series.

I think part of the issue is the new foil design, specifically the gold cover which appears to have box holes that basically just grab and yank out hair, baffling design to me. In any case, I will warn everyone I know to stay very far away from this razor.

If you happen to be unlucky and have one yourself, I’d urge you to upgrade to a 7000 series shave as you will find it works better than this razor in every way. Shaving in the morning shouldn’t feel like punishment and having to suffer through constant yanks and burns, and that’s all this razor provides.

I honestly have no idea where the positive reviews for this thing come from, unless they’ve just never used an electric shaver before and don’t know how much better things can be when they are done right.

I have been using Braun electric shavers for a decade now. I recently replaced my Braun Series 3 with this Series 9 shaver, and there is a noticeable difference. I replaced my Series 3 because the gears inside were worn out and whenever I would shave the Series 3 would pull hairs instead of cutting them — it was really painful.

The Series 9 is a smoother shave than the series 3. When using the Series 9 I can cut most of the hair on my face with 1 pass. This shaver is very comfortable to shave with too, I don’t even feel like I am cutting hair off my face with this shaver.

So far I have shaved 4 days in a row with it and I have no irritation and my face is very smooth. The cleaning station is very easy to use, after I shave I just put the shaver into the cleaning station and then hit the power buttton and it begins to clean the shaver.

After the cleaning station cleans the shaver it’s ready for the next morning. Every morning the shaver feels new out of the box. I was skeptical at first about spending the extra money for the cleaning station, but it is absolutely worth it, in my opinion.

Th build quality of the Series 9 is very good. It feels high quality. The shaver says “Made in Germany” on the back. I highly recommend the Series 9 cleaning station if you’re looking at this as a potential shaving option.

I’ll start by saying a lot of the reviews I’ve seen here have been discussing the fact that instructions aren’t included and comments about the fact there is no heater/dryer in the base. First off there is literally only 1 button on the shaver and 1 button on the base (outside of the base ejection button for swapping the cleaning juice).

If you struggle with this shaver then there are likely bigger problems in your life. This is very simple shaver that seriously needs no instructions. As for the base always launching the cleaning cycle when you only want to charge the shaver.

the shaver battery lasts over an hour. My shaves take approximately 5 minutes. That means I could shave, without the need for charging, or cleaning the shaver 12 times. If after 12 shaves you still don’t want to clean the shaver then I don’t know what to tell you other than you might want to consider evaluating your hygiene habits.

Also, the cleaning solution/juice if not used will evaporate, so you might as well use it. I run the cycle after about 3-4 shaves and the next day it’s dry and ready to go. Now for the real review. I previously owned a 5 series Braun many years back and more recently owned a 9 series Braun about 3 years ago.

I also have owned/tried Remington, Philips, Manscape, and Wahl shavers in the last 3 years so I have a lot of experience and by far this is better than every shaver I have tried, including the 9 series and I’ll explain why.

First off, my 9 series broke about 3 years ago only 4 months after purchasing it. The trimmer failed to run; the rest of the shaver still functioned. Anyway, I dealt with the customer service and found it lacking.

I mailed the shaver off and after calls asking the status, they told me to be patient. 2 months later I moved, lost my USPS tracking receipt, and finally the Braun customer service acknowledged they didn’t have the shaver and asking for shipping confirmation.

I no longer had the receipt so I couldn’t prove I mailed it. $300 down the drain. So, for the next few years I avoided Braun products. I tried many others and finally gave up and settled with disposable shavers.

I seen this sale after all this time and decided to try this shaver/Braun again. The motor on this shaver is louder and more powerful than the 9 series I remember. The attachments are easy to swap and use.

I found the lack of an in-built trimmer a little frustrating as it takes a bit of time to swap heads. A small sacrifice as the trimmer itself is leaps and bounds stronger than the 9 series in-built shaver and far easier and more precise to use.

Now onto a more sensitive topic, trimming of more delicate parts of the body. My god, this shaver has blown me away and establishes its true value here. The included beard/stubble trimmer attachment, normally meant for beards, has been a godsend for that area and blows Manscape products out the water.

Honestly Manscape products are far overrated, and I found before this shaver, a Wahl cordless shaver with the correct guide to be much better. The Stubble and Beard trimmer was better than every product I’ve ever tried, and I can easily say with confidence that there is absolutely nothing better.

This was the first shave I ever had that didn’t tear me to shreds and cause excessive bleeding there. The shave is also faster as the newfound confidence allows me to shave without worry of nicks. While I will say it did nick once, the nick was barely noticeable or felt and didn’t bleed.

A serious gamechanger. The included guides that were notches of 1, 2, or 3 were additions nice but a close trim is possible without worry with guide 1. Seriously, this attachment should be marketed completely differently as it’s outstanding.

I’m speaking again of the Beard and Stubble Trimmer with 2 notch 1 guides, not the Precision Trimmer attachment as I would be far too scared to use that attachment down there. Also, while the Beard and Stubble trimmer is attached you can still run the cleaning cycle when the shaver is inserted into the base! Honestly that was an amazing discovery as the ability of having that attachment cleaned by the base, especially after shaving in that area, was a huge win for hygiene.

On to the real purpose of this shaver, your face. It does a great and thorough job but requires many passes. This shaver shines in giving this quality shave without pulling or nicks. It rivals disposable shaver shaves without the irritation.

The requirement of some extra passes is worth it. The 9 series did provide a faster shave as it required fewer passes of the same area, but it did not provide a better shave. The difference being the 9 series is almost 2 – 2.

5x as expensive and has a far worse trimmer, no beard and stubble trimmer which again shines where you would least expect it to and had suspect reliability. I have given this product 4 stars as the customer service, if you ever need it, is lacking and I’ll likely always have a chip on my shoulder towards Braun for simply making me purchase a shaver to replace a shaver they lost.

Going beyond that, while it somewhat pains me to say, this shaver is better than any product on the market, including Brauns 9 series and offers incredible value for the quality and versatility it provides as it can replace EVERY single product in your entire home in one solution.

I bought this model online during the Black Friday sales in November 2021. It was to replace my older model Series 7 which has been a fantastic shaver. Please be aware that the newer generation Series 7 like this one uses a separate precision trimmer head that is not built into the shaver.

The precision trimmer is not included in this particular retail kit. And you cannot buy it separately in Australia unless you opt to purchase an entire beard trimming and manscaping kit. I don’t have a beard.

And I’m not into manscaping. So this shaver is incredibly useless in its current state. Normally I would not have made this error of judgement because I would have purchased in-store after inspecting it.

But in-store purchase wasn’t possible during COVID-19 lockdown. Shaver Shop referred me to Braun, who referred me to their spare parts distributor who was actually very helpful, but it seems I’ve bought a dud.

I can’t rate the product because I’ve frankly only used it once.

At 35 years old I was looking at changing my shaving routine to something 1) quicker and 2) less irritating to my neck. Unfortunately this experiment was a waste of time and money. I was on annual leave so had plenty of time available to try shaving with this new gadget many times.

Firstly, I have to go over every area 10 times before it’s shaved. Secondly – Since my neck hairs tend to grow out somewhat parallel to my skin as opposed to straight out, about 10-20% of my neck hairs get away completely untouched by this shaver, no matter how many times I go over or how I stretch the skin.

Also tried to shave with foam with no noticeable improvement. I also tried to shave daily or after two days and after three days. No change. I didn’t find any advantages with this over shaving with foam and razor.

The only good things I can say about it is that the battery lasts very long, and that it’s waterproof.

I bought this because my existing Phillips Norelco $20 groomer was starting to wear down and it was on sale. This seemed great based on the description and some of the reviews. I use it mostly on my neck, about once a week.

On the outer edge of my neck, it works okay. On the center of my neck, it’s like I never shaved at all. What I do now is a first pass with my Phillips and then a 2nd pass with this and I suppose that is marginally better than just the Phillips.

One positive thing about this product is that it’s easy to clean up and hair doesn’t go everywhere like it does with the Phillips. I always forget that online products can still be returned, otherwise I would have returned this.

I have a very small amount of very fine leg hair and it did not remove 75% of what’s there. Not sure if it was because I tried it dry, but I feel like a new contraption should perform better than my pink Panasonic electric razor that is 3-years-old.

(I usually shave once a week in the summer and my partner rarely notices if I don’t shave all winter. That’s how little hair we’re talking. This should be an easy job for any razor. ) I may have to spring for the expensive replacement blades for the Panasonic instead.

Very disappointed! The other reviews were great.

Bought a triple rotary norelco and all it did was cut my face and tear my skin. This braun replaced my old one and has not given me any issues at all. I do home health so Im shaving in the car on the way to patients homes and I can shave for days with 1 charge.

Not sure what all the bad reviews are for but come on. it’s an electric shaver. What “directions” do you need other than plug it in to charge it and shave like normal? What happened to common sense? My only complaint to braun is I wish the 9pro was a bit cheaper lol !.

I received the Braun Series 6 shaver through promotion and was curious to see how it would differ from the three-head corded Philishave I’ve had for 20 years. The box was well laid out with the key features on the front, being that the shaver is sensitive on skin and has the SensoFlex head.

I also noted that the shaver was 100% waterproof which was a pleasant surprise. The side of the box had a combination of pictographs and text explaining the features in more detail, but with minimal words.

In comparison so far with my Philishave, the Braun wins on the fact that it is rechargeable, cordless, has a swiveling head, and appears to have some ability to be upgraded with different heads. Interesting… Inside the box were a carry case, cleaning brush, charger and the shaver itself (in my favourite colour: red).

I immediately reached for the instructions (because I’m a Tech Writer and love looking at instructions). As I read through the pictorial instructions I scratched my head at some of them. I couldn’t quite understand what some of them meant, but after looking at them for a bit I eventually got what the diagrams meant.

After charging the shaver for the recommended time of one hour (for a 50 minute shave time!) I was ready to go. In comparison to this point with the Philishave, the pack contents weren’t that different.

I’m a pretty fair-haired type of guy, with not a lot of thick facial hair. You could say I was a bit of a ginger nut on the beard while being blondish on top. I don’t use any fancy shaving oils or anything like that.

Just a shaver on skin. Normally before a shower because for me it seems to make for a closer cut. I found that with the Philishave’s three-head design, I found it had difficulty lifting the hairs on my neck if they were a little bit longer.

I also found some problems with getting a close shave when my “beard” was a day old. I think there wasn’t much to grab onto so I ended up with a rough-to-the-touch finish, which was not satisfying. I powered up the Series 6 and the speed of the shaver was about twice the RPMs compared with the Philishave.

This thing really hums! The motor speed reminded me of the speed of a buzz-cutter I use when I have to do my Number 3 cut at home on my head hair. I started to work down my cheek to get some of the longer curlies that were growing.

The Series 6 cut them off like a lawnmower. I didn’t feel like I had to make too many passes to get a smooth finish. Because the head is flat, not triangular, it was easy to line up the sideburn level I wanted compared with the Philishave.

I think the centre trimmer blade which is recessed below the cutline of the foils did its job perfectly by trimming the longer hairs before it reached the second foil. Nice one! Onto the problematic neckbeard, and the SensoFlex swivel head really seemed to follow the contours of my face more than the fixed head of the Philishave.

I didn’t feel like I had to press the shaver into my face as much as I did on the 20-year-old Philishave. I had to do a couple of passes over the neck region to really get a baby-butt smooth sensation, but I would’ve been getting a shaving rash by now in comparison with the Philishave.

The all-important “kid kiss test” passed with flying colours. The kids reckon that the shaver did a much better job and preventing the “spikey hairs” from getting them when I kissed them goodnight. Cleaning the shaver is easy.

You soap up the head and run it under the hot tap to remove oils and hair, then take the replaceable blade assembly off and let the two halves dry. I also take the blade assembly off and GENTLY tap any hairs out into the basin before rinsing, but this is not suggested in the manual (just a habit I got into with the Philishave).

The instruction manual shows a picture of a male figure with a red box around the sensitive groin area. The manual seems to recommend that you use the 06-BDT trimmer attachment. I didn’t get this included in the kit (it is sold separately) to work in this area, but given how good the experience was on my face, I decided to throw caution to the wind and just try it out anyway.

I was a little bit nervous because the Philishave had a tendency to bite in that area. It either ripped out hairs or didn’t do well with the tight folds of skin generally found on a bloke’s bits. The blades will trim hairs down there, but I suggest either getting the recommended attachment or doing a pre-trim with a hair-trimmer fitted with a 3mm skin guard to make the job faster.

I used the SensoFlex directly on all cylindrical and curved surfaces below the belt, including the perilous centre line, and had absolutely no bites from the SensoFlex blades. When they say “for sensitive skin” they aren’t kidding.

The important thing to consider when buying a shaver is consumable costs. Blades need to be replaced eventually, and the Braun Series 6 is no exception. The recommended replacement interval is 18 months, and a google search found a Series 6 head for about A$45.

This is about the same consumable cost for my Philishave heads so it is a comparable interval and cost of ownership. Based on my experience with the shaver, I think I’m jumping ship and ditching the Philishave.

You have served me well old buddy but the features of the Braun Series 6 make it hard to hang onto you.

I’ve been shaving my head for over 20 years and always fought burn, ingrown hairs and every other issue. but not since switching to this blade. Take this advise. Don’t use shaving cream. Use a hot towel first and then use moisturizing lotion.

First shave with the grain. Re-apply lotion and shave again against the grain. It will be baby-butt smooth and with this blade never one cut or burn. It’s worked 100% of the time perfect. I’m still on my first blade a year later but bought a spare just in case.

Seriously. cannot stress this enough. I have spent thousands on expensive electric shavers that don’t do 1/10th as good as this blade and lead to more burns and discomfort. This is the way to go.

Headblade does pretty much what I wanted for my lil bald head. I did get some cuts first time I used it, but I would blame my lack of familiarity with the blade, and not the blade itself. Swift and ergonomic, the blade performs well with one exception: if you drop it on the floor say, the blade comes lose from the shaver, which is a pain.

The blade is quite difficult to insert into the shaver. You have to fit the blade to the retainer post and then pressure it in. While others may not find this problematic, for an older guy it’s really difficult.

Perhaps experience will simply solve this issue. Other than that, I am pleased with it.

I bought this razor cause I was using a standard 4 blade typical hand razor for my head but was tired of getting nicks here and there sometimes. I was actually suprised when I received it because I thought it was bigger than what it was, but after trying it today, I was very impressed.

It glides well, it actually manages to keep the blade in a perfect position so as to provide a constant shave all around the head and I’m very happy with the results. at this price its a great razor option for head shavers the only thing I would add is that I didn’t find replacement blades close-by in stores so your only option may be to purchase replacement blades online and I am not sure how long (how many shaves) a blade will provide, hopefully similar to a beard shave so a few uses out of it.

would highly recomment to head shavers.

Before you buy the shaver carefully consider that the 4 in 1 SmartCare Cleaning Center that comes with it will expose the atmosphere of your home to an open, evaporating tank of alcohol and other chemicals.

Within 3 days of installing the product in my bathroom, we were unable to use the room because of the noxious fumes that the cleaning center had given off. The headache-inducing odor permeated our adjacent bedroom and spread through much of the house.

It was only after a full day of open windows and three outside-vented exhaust funs running full time that we were able to mostly dissipate the awful stink. The promotional materials do not disclose (of course) the faulty design of the cleaning center that allows the tank contents to be exposed to the open air which causes the pollution of your home air and evaporates away the cleaning product to force you to buy a replacement.

The materials also do not make clear that the cleaning center needs to occupy a significant space on your counter within safe reach of an electric outlet and where it will not be jostled. If the cleaning center is moved or tilted, it will readily spill the fluid contents on your counter.

Other reviewers have commented about the inadequate and incomprehensible instructions (if you can call them that). Believe their negative comments. The “instructions” consist of pictures only and are not nearly enough to communicate how to properly operate the shaver and cleaning center.

I had to spend quite a while on the phone with Braun and later watch online videos to understand how to use the cleaning center. The shaver itself was fine, though various reviewers have said it is impossible to clean adequately without using the cleaning center.

I would give the product a 0 if I could. I am grateful to Bed Bath & Beyond for facilitating a return of this product for store credit.

Got the opportunity to buy this product via Smartson AB for a well reduced price. Haven’t used an el razor for over 30 years so have nothing really to compare to, found it strange in the beginning but have got used to it now.

I am a bit lazy and don’t like shaving every day so it pulls a bit, but gives a good clean shave, good battery life too, a bit basic maybe and miss a trimmer but can recommend it if you don’t have too much beard.

Not happy. This is more toy like instead of quality shaving tool. Now stuck with something Ill hardly use. Does not shave well for a tool that retails more than $125.09

I should have gone ahead and spent the extra for the Norelco, in the first place. After a week, the clips that held the little trimmer came off. There is no way of knowing your level of charge – the indicator is red while charging, whether full, or not.

I didn’t like the feel of it, because it is all plastic, and feels cheap. The blades of the shaver kept gripping my hair, instead of cutting, with only 2 days growth. I was “late” returning it, because I put it aside, and just used a razor after the first 3 or 4 uses.

Its hard to find a Quality Do it all Razer Set without emptying out your wallet. With this set being only about $30 i was a little skeptical. But it surpassed my expectations. This Set really can do it all and I love that its made using High Quality Material.

If youre looking for a New Razer set; I would highly recommend trying this one out. You will not regret it!.

I have used only the razor since I bought this grooming system over a year ago. The razor has held up well over time, but it is far from a premium electric razor. If I go more than about three days without shaving, this razor will fail to clip dozens of hairs.
