So I was able to get this working over HDMI at 1440p @ 144hz. The trick for this is that you need to keep it in Std mode, and toggle your computer’s refresh rate down to 60hz from 144hz. This means that when I’m using my TV for watching shows or doing things, I can use the lower refresh rate.

Something about using a refresh rate that the TV doesn’t support causes an issue here, and I think this is an issue more with the TV than with this box, as the box is able to duplicate the signals and send them to my TV and Desktop with minimal latency.

Make sure to use an 18Gbps HDMI cable at all times so that you can get up to 1440p 144hz. While in 60hz, the monitor and TV both work, and in 144hz, the monitor works. There are no color issues or issues cutting out with this device – make sure it’s powered properly and that you’re using good cables.

I’d definitely recommend not using extension cables and just getting some longer 25-50ft ones on sale if possible, as they might cut out from adapters if you’re not using Braided HDMI cables, or two high quality ones high Gbps ones.

**Writing this review on Day 1 of purchase, will update in a few weeks to add support for next gen consoles. ** I purchased this HDMI splitter after I lost my Gofanco unit to a flood. My main use for this is to split my PS4 Pro signal between my 4K TV (to use as a streaming box) and my Elgato 4K60 Pro (for streaming and content creation).

I have one cable leaving the console, into the splitter, which then splits the signal to the TV and capture card. I cannot tell a difference between this and the Gofanco for half the price. It doesn’t look as clean but construction is JUST AS GOOD with the entire unit feeling like a solid metal brick.

It does not interrupt HDCP, so Netflix and HBO Max can still be played. I highly recommend this for anyone looking for a solution to a problem like mine, and for under 25 bucks it’s a steal. With the upcoming PS5 and Series X releasing in under a week, I will update this review to answer a few questions: does it support 120hz (at 1080p, this will not support 4k120), do the new consoles look just as good through this splitter, and overall long-usage comments.

Quick note to anyone using this in my situation: make sure to enable the EDID switch to “TV”. I’ll admit I’m not sure what it does, but your TV/Monitor won’t get a 4K signal without it. UPDATE 11/15/2020: Writing this update after using with both Xbox Series X and PS5 with a 4k 60hz TV and 1440p 144hz monitor through this splitter on CoD: Black Ops Cold War.

First: the game looks great on both monitors. I can’t see any loss of color when using the splitter. With that being said, 120hz is NOT supported. I’ve tried swapping cables, flipping the switch, everything and my Xbox/PS5 will not allow 120hz to my monitor.

Ok so with my recording studio doing tons of Zoom sessions these days I need to duplicate my monitor so those in the booth could see the clients, directors, producers on the zoom call as they were working.

I bought two of these just in case I would need one for the future. Well the first one that I put into our security cam system to monitor from the dvr lasted for a good two years. The last couple of days I noticed the security cam monitor would lose signal about every two minutes or so.

Plugging the dvr straight into the monitor showed no lost of signal. Viewing online showed no lost of signal. The suspect is the splitter. I popped open the box of the second splitter that I bought and plugged it in in immediately was faced with the same issue.

What the heck! it’s never been used. I know that they are both out of warranty but I was hoping to get some use out of the backup splitter. It obviously went bad while sitting in the box or was faulty from the beginning.

Who knows? Any way I’m in the hunt for a new splitter. Update: The company’s customer service was nice enough to send us another one out after we shipped the faulty one back to them. I have to compliment them for their professional service.

I ordered this product to split signal in cable box to tv and projector after looking at many other competitors in Amazon this one appear to have the most information and professional presentation in the site.

A major concern was length of HDMI cable and picture quality since I run a 25 foot long HDMI cable to the projector. After connecting and testing it both pictures to tv and projector were excellent no imperfections no changes in picture quality were noted.

This OREI HDS-104 1×4 has been a good product for me. I bought this in Jan 2018 and have been using it 19 hours a day since then. It stays on 24 hours a day. It is hooked to a Dish Network 722K DVR/Receiver with a 6 ft HDMI to one TV and a 50 ft Blue Rigger HDMI cable to the other TV.

I don’t use 5. 1 or 7. 1 audio, just stereo, so I can’t speak to multichannel audio but the stereo audio is fine. I have seen no degradation in the video on either TV with both TVs on, at least that I can see.

The 722k puts out 1080i 60hz. I have only 2 TVs so I haven’t tried more than 2 ports at a time.

I have use a variety of approaches to monitor 3 cameras and a computer driven slide show at a production bench. I considered all the the multiview monitors but never pulled the trigger because of price.

I have a few 24 TV’s lying around from different studio and computer builds. This added to one of those TV’s is my current go to production monitor. A word of advice, use a TV not a computer monitor.

Computer monitors may not support the resolution you are feeding from a camera or passing through an on camera recorder. The pile of surplus TV monitors now has a few computers monitor in the stack. The beauty of this device is a display of 4 inputs that can switch quickly via a remote to 1 input only.

Which can then be scrolled from input to input. Attach a headphone to the TV and you can also monitor the audio on that input channel. Or in the split screen mode, you can select which audio feed you want to monitor with the remote.

My 4 channel audio switch is no longer on the bench. If you get really creative, add a bluetooth transmitter to the headphone jack and you can wander around your studio with bluetooth headphones monitoring sound.

If you are running the original ATEM mini which lacks a preview view, this lets you see a 4 input preview. You will need a splitter on each input with outputs to both this switch and the ATEM mini. Or just buy the ATEM Mini Pro and you will have a 4 channel preview device with a lot less wires.

The splitter works fine for 1080p and HDCP 1. 4 but I needed this for 4K signal and while it is capable it does not support HDCP 2. 2 which is needed for any type of STB to split the 4K signal. This makes it useless for 4K IMO since no HDCP 2.

2 means maximum resolution of 1080p. If you need to split 4K signals from a STB like Roku, Amazon Fire, Android TV, Cable Boxes, etc. then you need a splitter that supports HDCP 2. 2. This unit unfortunately does not.

I was hesitant to purchase after reading the reviews regarding auto switching. as this would be behind my tv in an entertainment unit and i didn’t want to have to pull it out every time i wanted to switch from dvd player to game console.

If my tv had just had one more hdmi port i would not need it. Took about 5 minutes to connect everything and once i turned on the wii and changed the input on tv the wii plays no issues. I then turned off the wii and turned on and played a dvd no need to manually switch anything.
