no the description says that it converts signals for the PS3 this was the reason for my purchase and upon receiving this item it did not work so this item was returned and now have to wait for refund to purchase the correct item also this item will not convert for a PS4 PC or Laptop this Description needs to be changed.

I bought this 3 months ago and it stopped working. It worked perfectly well, but unexpectedly stopped working.

This item preformed the need in converting the signal to supply the TV with. It was simple to install and has worked well.

Works well, but realize that HD digital encoding causes significant audio delays if connected TVs are within earshot range of each other. Pure analog video modulation/tuning configuration does not present this issue.

A common problem with all the old entertainment systems and new tv’s! Easy to set up and worked perfect! Plug and play! No issues at all! This would have come in handy so many times in the past! Problem solved!.

This device worked perfectly for our older model TV in our RV. We do a lot of camping but missed our TV, this device came in so handy and was exactly what we were looking for. Will definitely recommend to our friends.

This product is realky good for older model types of televisions to use. Its good quality from manufacturer. Only thing is that you cant really use it for new televisions since they have all the ports you need already.

This may be a case of “you get what you pay for,” as other similar devices cost around fifty bucks, but I don’t know. I bought this in order to attach an old Roku One to an old tube TV which only has a coaxial connection (while the old Roku connects via RCA composite or hdmi).

So I needed an RF modulator to act as an adapter (RCA to coaxial)—and in that regard, it’s fantastic! Once I had it all hooked up, I was playing the old Roku on a the old tube TV and the picture was fantastic—crystal clear.

So, I was extremely impressed. But then I stepped into the adjoining bedroom and saw that the TV cable on a completely different television, in a completely different room, was going haywire. I walked back into the room with the RF modulator and unplugged it.

The cable TV in the adjoining room went back to normal. Then I plugged it back in and the cable TV went crazy again. While it plays the Roku nicely, this device clearly produces some really noisy RF interference which scrambles TV cable systems (when it’s not even attached to it or even in the same room)!.

Reasonable price, easy to hook up, works just fine. Connects an old analog TV to a digital cable box that only has an RCA jack. Good buy, would highly recommend.

You get what you pay for – cheap price = cheap product. Connector broke when I attached coaxial cable to the modulator.

It’s the one item that I needed most and it deed exactly what I was hoping for it would do, solved the problem I encountered with my new 55 inch Samsung tv. This RCA CRF907compact modulator filled the gap that was not fully explained by the manual of Samsung tv.

For additional information, the Samsung tv only have two HDMI inputs. 1 – For local cable set top box and 2 – for DVD and other input source. For the reason that I have a second cable set top box for a foreign channel, there was no more available HDMI input for the sub cable set top box.

However, since the Samsung tv has a VHF 75-ohm F-connector input, I used a 75-ohm coaxial cable to connect from the “to TV” output of the CRF907 modulator to the 75-ohm F-connector input of the tv. With a big surprise and satisfaction, it successfully worked! Therefore, I can safely recommend the RCA CRF907 compact modulator for other users who might have the same problem.

And as always, my trust with RCA products for a long time remained intact. To add to my satisfaction, my order arrived one week earlier from the date that was stated in the order confirmation.

Useless to me! Already returned. Very low quality. It probably wasn’t a faulty unit, just low quality. I connected my Satellite receiver box RCA output to this unit, and the coaxial end to a under-the cabinet TV in the kitchen.

The video worked, but the audio was horrible. To the point of unusable. Extreme distortion. At first, I thought the length of coax cable running to the kitchen was creating too much signal loss, or magnetic field.

Nope. I moved the small TV right next to the satellite box, and connected with a 2-foot coax cable. Same problem. I tried a higher-quality RF modulator and it worked perfectly.

I moved the TV in my RV, and I had to Cable running to it, but was unable to get the DVD player to connect to the TV. It previously connected using red white yellow cables on the back but now the TV was way across the room.

I use this box to connect the red white yellow cables and the coax cable to one coax which now ran to the TV. Works fantastic! However I will point out that it does need power. I wasn’t sure and couldn’t find you formation prior to purchasing it, but fortunately I have an outlet nearby.

Works great and certainly cheap enough.

I wasn’t sure if this product would work per the satellite technician and this was the least expensive one that I could find. I switched over to HD TV and the satellite receiver does not have a coax cable out hook up on it and we needed an RF modulator to hook up the TV down stairs.

I hooked this up in less than 5 min. myself. This unit works perfectly! We get a great picture on the TV down stairs. I used site to store ordering. The unit came from CA. I live in IN. It was shipped over night to IL.

then was in IN the following day! Great service Walmart!! I highly recommend the modulator & Walmart’s services.

I bought the Belkin RF Modulator so that I could connect a new DVD player to my 1997 TV. I had no idea that my old TV would only have ONE connector in the back, and that’s for an antenna! So I now connect the TV to the RF Modulator, and then the DVD player is connected to the modulator.

Perfect little set up for a playroom where the occasional DVD will be viewed, but regular television isn’t necessary (though I assume the modulator would work with a digital converter box as well). Great buy, great product!.

Easy plug and play installation. DVD player connected to secondary connector and simply turning the player on connects it to the TV in place on the incoming TV signal. Light on unit turns green to indicate player (or whatever is connected to that port) is now routed to TV.

Turn off player and TV is automatically connected back to TV input signal. Can’t get any simpler than that. Even mechanical moron wife has no problem using it.

I needed a replacement for another digital converter that I had. This one is exactly what I wanted. Others available at Best Buy, Walmart, Target and other places cost $50 or more and had features that I did not need or want.

I only needed the converter to convert overair digital TV signals to my older analog TV, not record, not save programs, etc. Two simple connections and I was watching TV again!. great product!.

I take the signal I get from my DirecTv box and convert it to coaxial setup so I can run a cable out to my patioand watch tv out there. I just go to my garage to change the channel. one less box to rent.

I have an older Pioneer Plasma TV that only has a single HDMI. I use a streaming box and a 50′ long HDMI cable from a receiver with an HDMI mirroring port on it. An HDMI powered switch wasn’t working (most likely due to voltage drop over 50′ of HDMI cable) so I tried this one.

It worked perfect and lets me easily switch between mirroring the other basement TV and the streaming box. One thing that threw me was when I first used it, voices were mute on certain programs. Other sounds were fine, but voices were completely mute.

Also, playing music through the streamer, it was badly distorted and sounded really odd. I was about to return the switch, when I came across some Q&A on the Home Essentials Direct product page and found out that these are set to 5.

1 dolby. There is no 5. 1/stereo switch on the box itself; you have to toggle it from the little remote. Once I set it to Stereo everything worked perfect. I also like this because it has a 3. 5mm audio output with an extractor so I can send analog audio out to my vintage Yamaha receiver!.

After inheriting an older home theater system, I realized I needed something to switch between my 3 HDMI devices as well as offer an audio out to the sound system. After doing some research I had decided to purchase this switch.

It was simple to install and was easy to use. The toslink audio works great from the switch to my sound system. As of this review I have owned this product for 10 months and it’s starting to fail. The video to the TV has started to malfunction by going black or scrambled display.

At first, I thought it was a faulty HDMI cable so I replaced it with a new cable and it seemed to be OK for a couple weeks but then the display started to go out again. It appears the HDMI Out port on the switch is failing.

For the price, I expected it to last a little longer which is why I deducted 1 star from my rating.

By design this is a very nice device, especially because it’s intended to extract the audio portion from an HDMI signal, and then split the audio into 4 discrete pairs of analog L/R, thereby producing 7+1 analog surround sound channels.

Unfortunately, having tried any number of possible connections and combinations of settings, my observation is that only one of the four analog audio ports carries an audio signal (L/R front). Other than that, the item works quite nicely.

After trying numerous types of audio extraction devices, I decided to try one more. Really didn’t expect it to work. Trying to pull 2-channel audio from a Roku stick before it goes into my old Onkyo receiver and pipe it into my whole home audio.

I had several other units that would extract the sound but didn’t pass it on through the receiver. This worked perfectly. Now the wife is happy again!.

I have a 50 foot hdmi cable running from my receiver my 4K HDR LG OLED TV. I would constantly get video drop-outs. I figured the signal was just not strong enough. The booster made a significant difference.

I do get a very occasional dropout but, only for a second. I consider this a success.

I might have gotten a defective unit but it did not work the first time I tried to use it. The signal was still in need of boosting. I bought a different one at Best Buy and it worked so the problem was definitely the StarTech.

Also this unit does not come with a power supply so be sure to get your own.

Fixed my issue. Connected two 25’ HDMI cables for a streaming video shoot. No issues. Great price for a simple fix.
