20 Best Hawaiian Shirts For Men (2023 Updated)

I had high hopes for their shirt since i have seen other product and they looked good. The quality of this shirt is not good. The fit is oversized and lacks a nice structure. I sent it back and tried to get a Medium and that is a hassle.

I am getting my credit back but not before paying $9 shipping fee for an item that does not meet expectation. Keep in mind that you also pay shipping if it’s under $75 in products. When it is all said an done.

I paid as much shipping as the price of the shirt that i did not get to keep. Skip this headache and there are plenty of other brands that stay true to their fit, design and pay less in misc cost.

This shirt is fabulous! I purchased it as a gift for my college age son. He needed something a little dressier for outings and this worked perfect for sunny Florida. The shirt is high quality, has a generous fit and a little stretch to it.

The fun print also adds to its appeal. This is the second of these type shirts I have purchased for my son. He was very happy with both.

This shirt draws a lot of attention, which I don’t mind at all. I love a loud colorful shirt. The fit between the X-large and XX-large was surprising. It went from a snug fit to a flowing fit. I would prefer somewhere between those two fits.

I love the shirt though. It breaths and feels great. I will likely purchase additional shirts from Tipsy Elves.

I am female who wanted a cool flamingo shirt and there really wasn’t a whole lot for women. so I chose the mens. If you size up it works great but keep in mind that our hips are usually bigger than mens so the shirts do not usually account for that.

Top part is great but I have to wear it open because of the length and. I have hips.

The shirt looked very nice. Colors were beautiful and so was the print job. It was the thin material and type of material that I didn’t like. It felt cheap and I didn’t think it would last past a few washings without some problems.

But that is my opinion. I returned the shirt.

Very nice looking shirt, it’s the right size and fits well. I was slightly disappointed that the material, being 100% polyester, doesn’t ‘breathe’ very well, so it’s hot to wear in the sun. That’s my fault tho, I should’ve known that; next time I’ll look for a shirt with cotton or a mixture.

All in all, I’m pleased!.

First I’ll start with a basic overview of the shirt itself and my thoughts, then a little note on how it did with it’s first cleaning. ( For those who may be new to silk, like me) I’d like to say I was original enough to have found this shirt without help, but like so many others I fell in love with this shirt upon seeing the first behind the scenes photos of Daniel Craig wearing this for his final outing as James Bond.

It is, in my opinion, the very definition of men’s fashion. Sharp, subtle, and practical. The silk is soft, but also not without some durability, which makes it a great step into the delicate silk world, and the stitching throughout adds unique character.

I would also commend it for not having too flashy of a logo. Though I love the Tommy Bahama marlin, I think it’s nice that there’s nothing on the chest, but rather a small marlin tag at the bottom, which in my opinion inches it to a higher quality look.

For those of you who are curious as to how well it cleans, I can say that while it is still silk and will require much stricter washing rules, it isn’t quite as touchy as other pieces I’ve owned. I used a small amount of delicate Woolite in my washer on Hand Wash, with of course cold water.

I let it hang dry overnight and pulled it out gently to make sure it was hanging naturally. It was, to no surprise, a little stiff the next morning which is why next time I may try a small amount of distilled vinegar to remove any excess soap from the washer.

Otherwise, it washed well, and within minutes of wearing it the shirt felt comfortable again. I highly recommend this shirt. It runs slightly large, however, it’s supposed to be a loose fit, and I highly encourage that you embrace that idea because once you’re wearing the shirt it really is comfortable, and very breathable.

I usually wear a small and the small fits me perfectly.

Beautiful looking and wrinkled everywhere after first wash. I absolutely hate shirts that look destroyed after being washed on a short gentle cycle. I certainly did not buy a TB shirt to have it look like this, had I known I would have purchased a linen shirt which at least looks good wrinkled.

I have not even worn the shirt yet and the wrinkles are in patterns around plaid intersections for lack of a better description. Almost like the entire fabric was made incorrectly. I’ll give it a shot and wear it once just to see if my body heat and all that relaxes the fabric, but otherwise it might have to go back.

Last thing I wanted was a casual shirt I have to iron each time and can’t be packed. The hems at the sleeve flipped and wrinkled like a shirt from Target or Walmart, the collar looks like an Old Navy shirt, and the puckering is awful.

Yes the patterns line up and whoever sewed it did a nice job, but the fabric is soft and awful. I’m extremely disappointed. It fit perfect, I just can’t stand how it wrinkled everywhere, and not in a good way.

Cool iron but the cuffs/hem on shirt sleeve is all flipped and done? C’mon. Not too mention no fabric softener so also a pain in terms of logistics.

42 chest, 34 waist, usually buy L shirts like this but sized down to M. Glad I did, M fits perfect. Looked great in the mirror, fabric was soft but heavier weight than I anticipated, which I consider a plus.

However, the decorative stitching across the back was poorly done on the one I received. Instead of being tight all the way across, there was one stitch right about halfway across that was so loose you could probably fit a typicslly sized chopstick through.

This would be unacceptable on a shirt that cost $28, nevermind $128. Back in the bag with the return shipping label it goes. I waited a while for these to be restocked, and now they’re out of mediums again, so this, my first Tommy Bahama purchase, was a pretty disappointing experience.

I checked out as a guest, and I’m hoping my experience getting a refund goes better than my experience getting an acceptable quality shirt went.

I was disappointed to get this shirt. The photo shows a white shirt with black images the shirt i received was dingy yellow. I called your company and was told that it just looks different on a computer screen ( which was not true as I viewed it on my phone, laptop, iPad and another persons system) then I was told it actually is dingy yellow- which I think again is a poor response.

NOONE would want that shirt to wear to a nice dinner. I think you got a bad batch of shirts printed and sent them out anyway. Unfortunately I couldn’t get another of the quality you show in time for a vacation, so was rather disappointed I appreciated you refunding the money for the return in a timely manner, of the shirt and the second that was sent out by accident.

Size fits Larger. I normally wear XL in regular button down. But these are much larger, I return them to get a LG and it fits better. Return Process is quick and easy. Besides that the shirt is comfortable and looks great.

Did a search for Cool Hawaiian shirts for Fathers’ Day and this shirt popped up. Very creative/diffferent kind of pattern, so was perfect for my Father in Law. To-boot, the sizing was right-on and gift shipped on time without a hitch.

This is a great shirt. The rayon gives it a nice drape and soft hand, but it still washes up easily and isn’t too delicate to iron. The cut is straight and classic for a Hawaiian, just size up if you wear it island style or down if your island is Manhattan.

The straight hem and camp collar are just right. The pattern is pretty sharp, not as much as a true Hawaiian 100% rayon but still pretty sharp, and overall it has a very relaxed vibe. It’s easy to wear in hot weather as the fabric thin and reasonably breezy.

If you are stuck on video conferences working from home right now, these look great on all those blurry little laptop cameras. It’s casual enough to say “I’m at home” but still looks like you got dressed, and the colours really pop on the monitor.

The size L shirt that I bought for my husband fits him just right, and is not too short even though he is 6’1″. But it would still be fine for most men 5’9″ or taller. I was concerned that a “camp collar” would appear strange, but it looks quite natural for a casual “resort” shirt, seeing as I really didn’t know what that was.

The only reason I gave this only 4 stars is that the cotton is kind of heavy for a summery shirt. But I knew it wasn’t like poplin fabric, which is lighter. That can really show wrinkles, but this shirt had almost no wrinkling after washing.

Listen, Ladies. I bought this Hawaiian shirt for me, a woman, to wear with shorts. It looks terrific. I keep getting so many compliments every time I wear it. It washes and dries great. I was so pleased, I bought two other patterns.

also for me. I usually wear a size 12 and I got a medium which fits just fine. So word to the wise, girls. Shop the men’s department.

What’s better than a shirt with my husband’s best friend all over it? Nothing! He absolutely loves it and wears it many times a week. Also, he shows it off to everybody.

I have now ordered three of these shirts with my dogs and one for family with their dogs. Are comfortable. Shipping was fast. Would consider a pocket.

Very nice way to show off your four legged family members. Quality is good for what was very reasonable price. Only thing missing was care instructions.

The FIVE POINT FLOWER Spooner Kloth is one of my favorite prints. Dusty Blue color pops. 5 stars for the print. Only complaint is the tailored XL I received is a little snug compared to my other reyn spooner shirts of the same size and I am unable to wear it.

I’ve loved every flower print I’ve ever owned. My first Reyn shirt was a pink pullover with a floral design and I’ve been in love ever since. What really got me about this version is the gorgeous background color.

I received this amazing print with pen markings around the neck. Ironically I had done a review just like this and took the photo. Got 20. 00 off code to use for this shirt – so it was only 39. 99, then I got it in the mail with pen markings.

You guys gave me 39. 99 back and this shirt is now not available in a small. Pissed to say the least, not only did I lose the 20. 00 discount but the 1 shirt out of 6 that I bought that I truly like most (favorite pattern) – all others were great but this being my favorite – I cannot get now.

Loved you guys until now. About 400. 00 spent in 6 weeks and now I’m done since you guys wasted the 20. 00 discount. all I want is this shirt in small without pen markings on it (literally as if someone used a ruler with the pen- sure when it was being cut – carelessly of course).

I got this for fun when I saw it on instagram and it showed up super fast! The quality is amazing and the shirt is incredibly comfortable and light. When my wife came home and saw me wearing it she was stunned! She said she loves this sexy new look and that I should buy all of them! Naturally I put in another order right away.

The swagger effect is obvious, but I love the material and feel of the shirt. I had to return my original purchase for a larger size. I had also ordered a classic Spooner shirt in size 2XL, which fit perfectly (I like my shirts a little on the larger side). The 2XL Polo, in the same order, was a little too snug for me, so I returned it in exchange for a 3XL, which suits me just fine.

Not sure why the two shirts (classic and polo) had to be different sizes — maybe some difference in how the fabric hangs on my body. This is not your fault — just my own preference. Anyway, in future I’ll order my polo shirts one size larger.

I ordered one of these with two spoonercloth shirts, all the same size. Both spoonercloth are a bit too large but wearable. The performance polo size ran much, much smaller, like two full sizes smaller.

It’s a different fabric and designed fit but it’s not even close. I looked like I was trying to squeeze into my kid’s rash guard.

I ordered this shirt using the website and received the wrong color from what I ordered. I had to find my own box, print out my own label, take it to a FedEx location, wait in line to receive a receipt, and then wait for a replacement for an item that was not my error.

I waited for the return and got the replacement. I received the exact same shirt color I got in my first order. I double-checked the website, got validation from others that I was interpreting the website coloring correctly, and called for a replacement on 5/10/2022 at 10:37 HST.

I was told that I was going to be contacted by the end of that (5/10) business day. I did not receive a call, nor did I receive a call the following day (5/11/2022). I received a call on 5/12/2022 at 2:05 HST and was told the error was due to moving warehouses.

There was no resolution ot the issue at the time of the call, so I will be called back on Tuesday, 5/17/2022. I do not want a call back. I want the correct color shirt that I paid for sent to me and do want want to have to find another box, print out another label, drive down to the FedEx location, stand in line, and get a receipt so I can send back the shirt that I received that was not due to any error of my own.

I will await my callback on Tuesday.

So I’ve been pretty addicted to buying these polos. Just the most comfortable shirts I’ve probably ever owned. The perfect fit. Definitely spices up the wardrobe. Keep putting out amazing product, and I’ll be a customer for life.

This is the 2nd shirt I have bought. No big complaint except it is not like the one you advertise. It is missing the eagle six logo below the buttons Like buying Nike shoe and showing up without the swoosh.

Love this shirt !! Quality, soft material and a roomy full cut. So hard to find a quality Hawaiian shirt that fits. So much of the competition seems to be made to fit foreign and not American forms. I was so pleased with this shirt that I bought two more in different colors.

I followed the sizing chart and ordered a size too big. I normally wear XL in T-Shirts, and the on-site chart suggested 2X. Thankfully, the customer support team was quick to exchange sizes for me. The actual shirt itself feels very nice, and I enjoy the design’s continuity.

My only gripe is that I did not realize Kenny Flowers shirts are suggested hand-wash only. I guess that is the cost of dealing with such a soft fabric. Also really appreciate the free materials thrown in.

The coozie is a nice touch.

This is an amazing shirt, honestly. I’ve almost never been happy with how short-sleeve button down shirts look on me – either way too tight or too loose, too long to leave out, etc. This one fit super well, and the length is perfect for either untucked or tucked in – has a sophisticated cut to it.

Looks equally good with black jeans (last night) or shorts. Despite the pattern, which often make me look huskier than I already am, this pattern is slimming in appearance. Really sharp, fresh. and the fabric is very soft and comfortable.

The material is very smooth and drapes well. I like that the collar is double stitched and stands up instead of laying flat like a camp collar. The buttons on the sleeves which allow you to roll them up was a very nice surprise.

I was on the fence about sizes and for reference I’m 6’1 205 with an athletic build. I went with a large and can just get away with the large. The seam on the sleeves hit exactly where they should. Very nice shirt, I’ve already ordered another.

These shirts are fantastic in every way. The cut is classic and fits me perfectly. The richly detailed fabric design reminds me of a mid-century modern tiki bar, replete with muted colors. Finally, the quality of the shirts is impeccable, in typical Hilo Hattie fashion.

I ordered the burgundy version and was happy with the pattern but the color wasn’t as bright and happy as I imagined it would be. The all cotton fabric was a nice quality and the 2XL size measured up to the size guide fit chart.

I liked the sophisticated “duller” color but my husband deemed it a “no,” so we exchanged it for something he liked better.

Hilo Hatties shirts are wonderfully crafted, the pattern is aligned even in the seams and pockets. So many Hawaiian print clothing pieces are pieced together where the pattern is jumbled. Nice hand on the fabric as well.

Gave this to my husband for his birthday. He bought a Hilo Hattie shirt when we were in Hawaii 30+ years ago & it finally wore out. The quality is still great & I expect he’ll wear this one for 30+ years too!.

Love this shirt. Rayon material is silky and flowy. Fit a little oversized, but shrank to a better fit after first wash.

Beautiful shirt! It’s light, comfortable, and looks better than the pictures. The quality is great. The only thing that would make it better would be side slits, but this is not a dealbreaker. The sizing still give ample room for it to be comfortable.

I use it for casual wear and it is very attractive, however, it is just too small for the size and a little tight under the sleeves. Most other brands are constructed to fit in a looser fashion. These shirts are well-made with high-quality fabric, but they are a tighter fit than I like.

If they were not so skimpy, I would give them a 5-star rating.

The picture of this shirt almost doesn’t do it justice. It is so much more handsome in real life! The shirt is very well tailored, the stripes all line up, and the cuffs hit in just the right spot below the wrist.

Love this shirt. The background color is a pink, close to a salmon color, and it looks amazing on tanned skin. Fabric was soft as well.

Nicely made shirts, proper fit, nice patterns (I bought the blue, brick and white). These are shorter than a “normal” Aloha shirt but that’s how I personally like them. But be advised, they are quite thin and very light.

I’m glad I bought them on sale because had I paid $80 each I would have returned them. They are good shirts for the $30-range.

I was torn if I should return it or not. The red one was extremely beautiful. The material was so thin I was afraid it wouldn’t last. The top loop button made the collar fold funny when it was looped.

Big collars I just can’t.

Tired of paying lots of money for cheap sizing. Tired of one size fits everyone. Problem with XXL or XL or others, every manufacturer is different. Some XXL are XL and some XL are medium. So if you buy clothing years back, it would size 44 R or 52 R etc.

So you knew we got the right sie.

My husband loves this shirt because it’s professional enough for him to wear to the office, but it’s also stretchy and breathable. It’s lightweight and doesn’t wrinkle easily, and it fits his “athletic” (read: big shoulders, narrower waist) build really well.

The texture and fabric of the shirt is different from the rest of the series but I like it. It’s thinner and cool in warm weather. Fit is the same.

I’ve been buying Pataloha shirts for many years. I must have several that go back over 20 years. This year’s limited edition is one of the best designs in a long time! I tried on the dark Blue shirt in our local Patagonia store, but ended up getting the Green instead, which is much nicer looking I feel.

The synthetic material in this year’s model makes it more airy and lighter than some of the recent past ones. It also feels quite a bit softer. I compared the size (Large) on this shirt to some of my other Pataloha ones from recent years.

This one is a tad on the larger side than the older ones. However, I would still stick with the size you’d normally get. Overall, a fantastic shirt and certainly one not to miss for folks who like to collect the Pataloha ones.

My husband loves this shirt and felt cool on the hottest days. The fabric is lighter and less course than a Reyn Spooner Hawaiian shirt, but it is similar in style and loose cut. We’ve washed it successfully and did a touch up around the collar with an iron.
