I contacted the seller to ask what the treatment was, and, tellingly, they never responded. I’ve found that if someone\a company stands by their product, they are happy to provide any details necessary to make a good purchase.
This only makes sense for all parties as different people have different needs.
Great summer hat and it’s made in the USA. Breathes well to keep me cool. Fit was on the tight side but purposely purchased the smaller size since I’m between sizes and didn’t want a hat that way to large/loose.
I broke it in at home to get the fit just right and comfortable. The brim is just the right width for blocking sun and it’s stiff and not floppy like other hats I saw. What good is a floppy brim for blocking the sun? I noticed that sound bounces off the brim, so sound is slightly enhanced.
Cut the leather neck strap an inch shorter so it could be kept on top of the back of the hat and from touching the back of my neck when it’s not needed on a calm day. You will not be disappointed with this hat!.

Growing up, I was always told I was a “hat person. ” Baseball hats aren’t comfortable on me, usually, because I have such thick, long hair. This is the first baseball hat that is comfortable on me and sits right because my hair can go through the ponytail hole.
In hats without the specialized ponytail hole, I have to wear such a low ponytail, which doesn’t look great on me. This hat? I can wear a regular (high) pony tail and it looks great! The glitter is beautiful.

This hat is sub par quality. It is ill fitting. The ponytail opening is far too low, therefore making the bill of the hat sit too far back on my head. Fabric is cheap and flimsy. Save your money!
Not very well made. I ordered two and one had wonky stitching and the other had a crooked brim. I like that the ponytail is higher than it would be with a regular hat. I just wish the manufacturer was more careful since they cost quite a bit for a cheap hat.

I bought one of these hats in Sedona, AZ while on vacation because I had forgotten my own hat at home. I fell in love with this hat. I don’t look very good in hats, but this one looked really good on me.
I had to scrunch it up to fit in my suitcase for my flight home. I had also purchased a second Wallaroo hat in Sedona because I liked the first one so much. The second one was not scrunchable so I wore and carried that one on my flight.
The petite scrunchie did scrunch up very nicely but it seemed to be a little floppy when I got it home. I loved the petite scrunchie so much that I bought another one in white and one in black. I decided to use the more “floppy” one around the house while I was out working in the yard or during an activity when I might sweat.
The other white one and the black one are for when I’m out at lunch or early dinner and dining outside and I want a more crisp look for a hat. This is a great hat!! It’s adjustable from the inside by draw strings so it is mostly customizable for your own head which is wonderful!!! And, to top it off, it has SPF protection.
Very important to me since I had a melanoma removed from the top of my scalp several years ago. NEVER want to go through that again, so, I will always be wearing an SPF hat and Wallaroo are the best hats I’ve found!! Thy are lightweight and just the best that I’ve ever found.
Travelled with this in France during the height of summer. I love how this folds up easily and is light. Much better than carrying a delicate Panama hat everywhere. Struggled to find a petite hat online and this one was just right.
There’s a ribbon inside to adjust how tightly it fits. I was worried that this hat would look a bit frumpy. It’s borderline. The wide brim is great for sun protection. I would recommend this as a nice casual hat.

I deducted one star because it doesn’t have an option for a chin strap. On windy days the adjustable band at the crown isn’t enough to keep the hat from lifting because of the wide brim. I bought some snaps and sewed them to the inside of the hat and strips of ribbon for those windy days.

This hat is lightweight – much lighter than I was expecting. I have a ton of hair & regular baseball caps make my head hot when I jog. My last baseball cap flew off in the wind. Twice. Chasing it into a ditch (the first time) & a bush (the second time) was not great.
Especially during Maggie swooping season when one does not want ones head exposed. But I don’t have to worry about that with this hat! The cap fits like a stocking & is so comfortable I don’t even feel it when it’s on.

My hair is very fine and very slippery. Wearing caps has always been difficult because no matter how much I tighten them, they always slip or blow off. I’m not sure what it is about this cap, maybe the little bit of stretch, but it’s very comfortable (I forget I’m wearing it) and stays on my head all day long.
No slipping at all, not even in very strong winds. I purchased a cap to try and once I realised just how good it was, purchased a second, so that while one was being washed, I would still have another to wear.
No hesitation recommending these caps. Would like more colour range, but that’s the only “improvement” I’d suggest.
Go for a size up if you’re planning on sweating this up regularly. It will shrink a bit after a few washes then hold that shape for at least 30 washes. I always buy a few at a time and rotate thru them.

when I received this hat, I thought it was. beautiful, high-quality hat. After wearing this hat for a while it has a “but” involved. The seam/stitching along the sweat band of the house comes together in the front of the hat.
This stitching creates a knot that is very uncomfortable. if the hat didn’t look as good as it does, I would have given it three stars. In an sized hat I wear a 7-1/4. I ordered a S/M and it fits perfectly.
The snapback PFG hats are the most comfortable hats I’ve ever worn. The quality is second to none. I love wearing them while I fish or doing anything. I wear a lot of hats and end up having to switch often because after a while other hats start to get uncomfortable.
Not these! I never have to switch these out (I bought the Bass Triangle). I plan on buying several more to have as back ups.
I love this hat. I only wear flat brim and finding one in this particular brand is quite difficult so when I saw it I bought it immediately. There is a sweatband type material on the inside, it will get dirty no matter what, it’s white, shouldn’t expect anything different.

I ordered it in black and I love it. And no, the fact that its black does NOT attract the sun and make it warmer. Even though it’s a technical hat, it is stylish. I picked this model because of the netting at the top of the hat that allows airflow and because it has a wider rim to protect me from the sun.
It doesn’t look to big or too small on me, it looks just right. I also appreciate the lining along the forehead, it collects the sweat on my forehead without being overly irritating like hats or caps without a liner.
I recommend that you follow the measurements instructions and measurements on the Tilley website to figure out your size and that you buy the size recommended by Tilley AND the size above (or go try it in store).
The only reason I recommend this is because I bought my recommend size 7 two years ago and thought it fitted perfectly but as I wore it I found that it didn’t sit that well on my head as if it was a smidge too tight.
But I loved it so much that I decided to buy it again in the next size up (7 1\4) (this purchase) to see if there’s a difference. There’s a slight difference and both fit comfortably on my head. The size up sits better on my head look wise and allows a bit more airflow because fabric is totally encompassing my head (if that makes sense).
However, I’ll have to be extra careful when bending over or when it’s windy (that’s when the string come in handy). So I’d say it runs a tiny bit too small. Finally, quality is top notch and I expect it to be durable for years.
Head protection is essential for us bald dudes. And hat comfort and proper fit are also harder to come by without any hair on your head. It took several attempts to find the right size and I ended up sizing up more than what Tilley would have recommended based on their instructions, but when I found the right fit, I found my do everything outside hat.
No more burned head after a day paddling. Bonus, this hat floats! The hat is comfy, breathes pretty good, and dries fairly quickly. I think it looks fairly stylish too. Not all wide brimmed hats look as good as this one.
If you’re looking for extra sun protection on the water or on the trail, this is the first hat you should try out.
Excellent quality is probably the first thing I noticed when took the hat out of the box. All of the stitches are well done and the materials seem to last long. The manufacturer recommends washing the hat frequently, which is also a sign of good quality of the materials.
The good design of the hat is also something I want to mention. The mesh in the the top of the hat should keep my head ventilated during summer heat. The hat can be tied on whenever it’s windy. It repels rain.
It can be slightly adjusted in size. There is even a label inside the hat where one can write the name of the owner and the phone number. So, if the hat is lost, there is a good chance that it will be returned to the owner 🙂 Overall, so far I’m very satisfied with the hat and would recommend it.

I loved the color and the embroidered design! I especially loved that the design blended in to the hat so it wasn’t super flashy. It is at a great price point compared to her website. Unfortunately, it did not work for me.
The bill of the hat was rather low, too curved and it kept being pushed up by my glasses. It was VERY easy to get a ponytail thru BUT I would have liked that portion better if you could place your ponytail a bit higher.
All in all pretty cute, not a bad price at all. I never have luck with hats, lol. My Niece will LOVE it though!.
I love this hat. The design is unique and really pretty. I wore it daily for 2 weeks. Unfortunately the elastic straps in the back are very poorly sewn in. One of the straps ripped off the hat when pulling my hair through it.
The rest of the straps are barely hanging on. So disappointed.

I absolutely love my beanie. The colour is gorgeous. It is so well made! My mum is a seamstress to trade so I can recognise good quality. It is so comfortable. My curls are protected and it can withstand the Scottish weather.
However, it is quite big and keeps slipping down over my eyes. I need to secure it with a bobby pin. Could you possibly size and make for smaller heads??.
Great beanie, but …. Love the Green colour, and nice and warm. The lining is comfortable. But wanted to make those aware that have a small head it may not be suitable. The hat is lovely but far too big for my small head.
I pulled it back as far as I can and there is still a lot of surplus material on top of head and if I so much as nod my head or just jump or run it just falls over my eyes ! You can’t turn it over more as you see the lining.
I really wanted to love this hat! Unfortunately, with my loose curls and head size this hat is too tight on the curls and flattens them. As such, I avoid wearing and have given it to my curly daughter who can wear it comfortably at age 4.
I wish there were an oversized (or just looser knit) option because it would have been awesome! (I will also say that the dusty coral is much more a pastel tangerine than a coral. Much more than orangey than I expected.

I’m sure this would be great for thick ethnic hair that is going to fill the cap out a bit more (if that makes sense). They have a very thick & snug elastic that would not be comfortable over my forehead, I feel like it would need to be worn more around the hairline which is why I think it may be better for a larger volume of hair.
From the images online I thought this was just like a regular cap that kind of just sits on your head, I was hoping to be able to wear it out & about because knit hats/normal winter hats cause way too much friction on my hair, but because of the band that will not work.
Also, because of the band I can’t even keep this as a sleeping cap as it will a) dent my forehead & be uncomfortable & b) probably slip down my forehead or ride up the back of my head while I sleep. It does feel like good quality materials & such though.
It looks like a lot of hair could fit into it! Another thing I wanted to mention, I looked at this brand’s website and wasn’t a fan of their marketing. They do that thing where they mark up their products to encourage you to buy more to get them at a “discount”.
Like, they sell one for twice the cost as Sephora (same products) but say they are BOGO for a limited time. I’m not into that kind of deceptive marketing so it’s a no for me. I’ll personally stuck with Kitsch.
Sephora should put a size description on this product. I got this last night and went to use it immediately when I went to bed. I must have a tiny head because this thing is huge. I could put my entire head inside it and it reaches down to the bottom of my neck.
if the elastic were more snug it wouldn’t have been a problem and I would have liked the extra room for my hair. For me, this cap only stayed on because it slid down over my face during the night. I’m giving this 2 stars only because I don’t believe this is the fault of the manufacturer or the product itself.
It’s just an unfortunate mix-up. I honestly can’t imagine anyone having a head big enough to make the elastic fit correctly. The Slap seems to be well made and does what it’s supposed to. The satin inside is actually softer than the silk pillowcase I bought, so I’m not sure why others are complaining about it.
I’ll be returning this one and getting the adjustable one.
I have very fine hair that has been breaking for a while, but I’ve also been experiencing hair loss for the last ten months. I’ve slept on silk pillowcases for years, but I wanted to try a turban for when I had an overnight mask in or just to see if I received more protection than from the pillowcases.
I would still use the pillowcases no matter what because of the benefits for my skin… This is a great turban. It’s VERY soft and there is a lot of room to accompany my long hair and of course natural hair.
I have a tiny head, so even with the adjustable ties inside, it was still a bit too big, but I’m used to that. The satin inside is very good quality. It has a tied knot on top that you can adjust and this is cute enough to actually wear out, but it’s too big for me to do that.
It’s also a bit to big to stay put while I sleep because I toss and turn so much. None of these things are the products fault though. This is very well made and reasonably priced. I do recommend it.

Hi everyone, the TL;DR is the title, but I thought I’d share a bit more detail below. So about 8 years ago I got my dad a Renzing hat for his birthday. He lives at a high altitude and so wears a beanie of some sort pretty much all winter–from October to March.
Well, I’ve gotten him many hats in the past, but this hat has been his absolute favorite–the wool is extremely soft, and the hat manages to be warm but not very bulky and low-profile without being so thin it lets the wind in.
8 winters later, I guess he left the hat somewhere and was totally heartbroken, so I just ordered another one. He is over the moon, which sounds silly to say about a hat, but my dad is a man who likes what he likes–and is rarely this enthused about anything, so I just thought I’d share that in addition to being a great company to support, this hat will not let you down.

Fantastic hat. I’ve worn it on 3 camping trips now and it rarely comes off. Paired with a big met, the wide brim keeps the net off of my face. I’ve washed it once and it comes back into shape pretty quickly once you wear it a few times.
The air vents at the top work pretty well and I never felt hot in it, even in 25c humid heat. The mesh at the top is also a soft nylon type of fabric, not a hard plastic, like I was afraid it might have been based on the photos.
I’m deducting a star because there were a few loose threads in the hat when it arrived. I read a lot of reviews about how the Canadian made versions were impeccable in quality. But this one is made in China and I had to snip off some dangly threads.
So I question if the durability is as strong as it used to be. I also measured and ordered the size according to the Tilley sizing chart and I found it to be a bit too big. If I couldn’t do it again, I’d go one size down.
This is the first Tilley hat I’ve bought since I bought one of the originals in 2003, and I am really pleased with it! The material is great, light but sturdy, and the brim is malleable enough that I can shape it to my liking.
I really like the mesh band below the crown that allows better cooling. The cooling pad in the crown is an interesting feature. I haven’t tried it yet but I can see the appeal for hot climates. I am really happy with the colour too.
It’s a fair bit darker than it appears in the website photos, and I like it! The hat seems to run a bit small so I ordered 1/8 inch larger than normal and it fits snugly enough.
I own the TWC7 Outback Waxed Cotton Hat and have enjoyed it immensely, so much that I wanted something similar yet completely different to choose from. Now I’m afraid I may never choose the TWC7 again.
I know I will, but you get the point. I love the TWC7 for its size and the Navy and Tan colours. The cotton is awfully nice also. There is nothing not to love. However, the Hemp Hat in olive green is rich, luxurious, soft, shimmery, comfortable, and expensive looking and feeling.
It feels lighter on my head, and it obviously breathes better and therefore feels nicer on a hot and sweaty summer day. The brim is a tiny bit larger, and though I questioned that, it didn’t take long to prefer it.
The hat feels more significant in a good way. Personally, I would not want a hat any larger than the T5. I say buy the Hemp Hat with confidence and use the Tilley hat sizer. It works! Both my hats feel snug enough not to fall off if I bend over, but no more than that.
