20 Best Harleys For Short Riders (2023 Updated)

I bought these for the pilot’s pegs and the smaller size for the passenger’s. Initial impressions are very good: solid and great traction (the main reason I got them). Burly’s and Revzilla’s site warned me of having to do some grinding before they would fit my HD Sportster 72 so, although it was a pain disassembling the works, I wasn’t surprised by the additional step and can be smug knowing it took a little personal touch.

The full-sized left peg had my foot too close to the shifter for my size 11. 5 boots, so I traded the right passenger’s peg for it. Now I shift as smooth as with the rubber coated stock pegs and they match front and back on each side — more smugness.

I live in Central Idaho and often cycle, ski and paddle solo off the cell phone grid. Accordingly, I sought a cycling specific computer with off-grid live tracking and map navigation. After researching various Garmin products, and calling Garmin Customer Support, I purchased an In-Reach Mini2 and an Edge 1040.

The Mini2 provides the off-grid live tracking as well as off-grid texting to family and friends, and SOS to emergency services. After initial setup, I did call Garmin Customer Support to complete the integration and syncing of both devices with each other, with the Garmin apps (2), and with my laptop.

In addition, I use Strava, so I had to get both devices set up to report activities to Strava, create routes, and then upload routes to the Edge 1040. The Garmin Customer Support rep was absolutely awesome; he helped me through the process, and then we tested all the integration across devices and platforms.

Once I understood the difference between Glances and Widgets on the Edge, I added a Widget screen for the In-Reach Mini2 so now I can operate the Mini2 through the Edge provided the Mini2 is turned on.

This works seamlessly! Although I wish there was a single cycling specific computer with In-Reach capability, the combination of both units works well. The Edge 1040 is very capable, although I don’t use all the power and training functions.

The screen is sharp, and it’s easy to swipe pages from stats to map to profile to etc. All these pages (glances?) are customizable (data fields/screen). I’m quite pleased. Suggestion for Garmin: please include 2 inserts and 2 mounts in the Bundle package so that the unit can be installed on at least 2 bikes.

Also, the rubber protector should also come with the bundle, and not require a separate cost and order. Cool stuff, and it’s now much safer to ride off grid.

I purchased the Edge 1040 Solar and it’s got loads of problems. The Navigation looks better post track, but it’s off on the road. It’s not even close to pre-populated routes, misses turn queues all the time, etc.

So you’ve got to stare at the map the whole time or you’re gonna miss turns. There’s also a serious problem around % Grade. The Edge 1040 averages the grade over at least 1000-2000 feet of distance. So you’ll be halfway up a hill before it reflects a change in grade.

Or you’ll be 1000-2000 feet up a long shallow grade before it registers on the Edge 1040. Likewise you’ll be on the top of a hill and the Edge 1040 will say that you’re still on an 8% grade. I contacted support about this and the feedback I got says that this isn’t a priority and may not be fixed ‘until a future version of Edge’.

So if you’ve used previous generations like the Edge 1000, don’t upgrade. Using the 1040 for training won’t help you. It’ll actually hurt your performance on hills and climbs if you ever relied on knowing the grade to trim your power output to the terrain.

I’ll add that the Climb screen is interesting but without an accurate real time grade being displayed it is literally a useless graphic that tells you what the grade WAS 2000 feet ago as you struggle up a 14% climb.

If support has you replace it, beware that all the rides you’ve done, all the custom screens, all the routes, everything you’ve done on your Edge 1040, will be lost. There’s no transfer of any of that.

If you don’t need the battery life from this thing, skip it. None of the reviewers or youtube influencers who reviewed this device cover these issues. Also they don’t publish the MAC address of the device anywhere in the setup section so you can’t secure your WiFi network without an air sniffer to sus that out on your own.

This product is a fail.

I have cycle computers since first started off with the concept. Biking metrics and data (long ago) surpassed my own usefulness. However, time arrived when I needed just a little bit more than just speed, cadence, and distance.

There might be other viable options, but the 830 is very flexible and has a very wider range of options to give you as little or as much data as you want Note: I’ve only had the device for a few weeks, and I’m still learning how best to use it.

Pros: – highly customizable – data screens, sensors, connections, everything – color screen was clearly visible in both shade and bright sun – touch screen is very nice – emergency sos contact works.

on gravel ride over the weekend, I got stuck in a water/mud filled 4×4 rut and fell to the right. I guess I stopped fast enough that I triggered some incident alert. My BT paired phone started to chirp with something I’ve not heard before.

Is was the 830 working with my phone to alert my contacts about a potential accident. Wrong in this case, but very nice to have – reasonable priced for the features – turn by turn is quite nice Cons: – trying to use the bottom buttons while riding can be tricky (touchscreen is great) – text can be hard to read while riding.

I changed up some of the data screen to show me LESS data, thus increasing the size of what I wanted to see. – getting back to the base/home screen I struggle with – menu text might not be completely intuitive.

Example. I’m riding, want to stop for a rest (or a beer) and then want to continue on with the data recording, one time the device stayed paused, another time, its just saved off the activity and I had to start a new one for the return trip.

– default settings, it beeps alot (telling me to drink or eat or a turn is coming up) Bottom line, would I buy again, and would I recommend to others. Yes and Yes. No question.

This scale (1:18) replica of a Harley Davidson 2018 CVO Road Glide is really cool. Anybody who enjoys motorcycles, especially the real ones (Harleys), would like to accent their bar or garage with these scale replicas.

This die-cast model does have functioning rear suspension and the front steering works. The detail on these scale replicas is truly amazing. The handle bars feature the side view mirrors as well as the clutch/ front brake handles.

Overall, I think this scale replica looks pretty sharp, and I intend to display it up high enough that anyone who walks in my front door will notice it right away. I’ve always thought motorcycles are pretty cool, but personally prefer dirt-biking to being on the road.

The package I received shows 5 other models, and I really like the look of the 1952 K Model, that might be the next I add to the collection. The other options shown on the back of the box are a 2000 FLSTF Street Stalker, which also looks pretty cool; a 2004 FXSTDSE CVO; a 2005 FLSTCI Softail Springer Classic and finally a 2012 XL 1200N Nightster, which I also think looks pretty cool and is shown with a navy blue paint job.

This motorcycle is adorable and actually functional as well. I got the 1952 K Model and I looked up the actual Harley bike and they made a really accurate representation of it. This bike has wheels that move and a kickstand to prop up the bike.

I gave this to my two boys to play with as a toy but I can definitely see how this could be kept in great condition for a collector and be a great asset. It is made of good quality materials and hasn’t broken any pieces off even though my kids like to play rough and crash things! Harley Davidson is of course super cool as a brand and by my opinion is the best bike so I love that Maisto made this beautiful bike with Harley Davidson decals on the fuel tank.

This model is die cast and actually shows a great amount of detail which I find impressive even going so far as to show a tiny replica of the speedometer. It has a working suspension and steering which makes for a fun toy to play with.

I have received the Harley Davidson 1:18 Die-Cast Vehicle, Assorted and my kid loves it. It is a fancy moto cycle. I love the design of it as well as the color that it came in. However, I was a bit confused by the description from the underneath the product title.

The product is described as “vehicle, assorted”. Based on the description, I was expecting more than one (1) toy in the package. It came in with only one motorcycled in the package. I think this would be better if the product description says a single toy in the package rather than assorted.

I do love how the Harley Davidson 1:18 Die-Cast Vehicle was packaged. It was nice and neatly done in such a way that as soon as I opened the box, my three-year-old son asked me if it was his birthday.

Well done on the packaging. Another thing that I have noticed is that the “Suggested Age Range is 8-12 years” for this toy. My eleven-year-old boy even asked what he was going to do with it once I told him the toy was his.

My three-year-old boy is the one who has been enjoying the motorcycle instead and he loves it very much. I like the Harley Davidson 1:18 Die-Cast Vehicle and I would recommend it to anyone for younger children.

I ordered this seat due to the wide touring Mustang seat being out of stock. I was a little skeptical since it seems like the wider seat is more popular based on my research. For the price, I’m not sure the wider seat would be that much of an improvement.

This seat is thicker and firmer than the stock seat on my 2015 Iron 883. As a result, I sit up a little higher, which is a good thing to me. Probably raised me just under an inch. It is more supportive and I can tell it will break in over time.

You want firm and supportive on a motorcycle seat, not mushy. The build is much better than stock – solid feeling fiberglass seat pan and riveted covering that is thicker and better textured than stock.

One oddity is that the front crotch area is not as wide as stock and doesn’t come down on the sides in front as much. As a result, you see more of the frame and tank support bar over the stock seat- just a little.

I suspect this is to bring back leg reach that might have been lost by the slight height increase. My weight is more to the back when riding so this isn’t a problem (I have mid pegs on my Sportster. ) I have a 32″ inseam and weigh about 250lbs.

This is a relatively inexpensive upgrade from the poorly constructed stock Sportster seat.

First, the “plain” version has a braided-trimmed skirt deal around the sides and back. I didn’t notice this in the pics before I got it. some might think it’s a little too much flair for the minimalist Nightster.

Second, it changes your riding position. I think it’s an improvement, but I can see others not loving it. The internet consensus seems to be that this seat moves you up an inch and back an inch. I think its taller than that.

closer to 2 inches. My riding position is different; I’m more “on” the bike tracker-style, rather then low-slung behind the bars. It has pretty much solved my no-travel-suspension tooth-rattling problem.

And, after a week, I think the riding position is an improvement, for me anyway.

I purchased this seat for my 2013 Iron 883 because after 45min the stock one wasn’t doing it for me. I’ve waited a bit to write a review but I just got back from a 685 mile trip that was done over a long weekend and I can say this seat is awesome! It’s a HUGE upgrade from the stock and I even like it better than the stock seat on the 2014 Street Glide that was riding with us.

I high recommend for the Sportster.

nicely described and detailed but handlebars a little too tall. It is fragile as expected, not suitable for rough handling or play.

Great model for the price, the car has a beautiful green color with highlights, the rotors rotate with the wheel which I consider a good thing.

Nice model but be careful when you lower the kickstand. Mine snapped off the first time I tried.

Bought it for a Christmas gift. It looks like the adult version of a motorcylce. Hopefully it will withstand a little boy playing with it. Little bit pricey.

The motorcycle is great. Nice toy, but almost too good to play with. I have it as a display. One thing, weak kickstand. Be careful. Works well for me.

Since I actually own a Harley Davidson Sportster, this was just the right size to put on my mantle with other HD paraphanalia. I took a picture of it and a HD sign behind it and a friend asked if it was an actual motorcycle.

In September of last year I traded I’m my 2001 Heritage Springer and bought a 2013 Road King Classic. My delight in that bike was compounded by finding an exact match in miniature. Color, saddle bags, all match.

The model is now sitting, still in the box, on top of my desk with other Harley Davidson memorabilia. Fine model, reccomend it. Two thumbs way up.

Got this for my son for his 40th birthday Will make a nice addition to his collection Not REALLY strong enough as a child’s toy Is meant to be admired & left in it’s pack or mounted specially. Pleased with the quality & details on the model but don’t have the real thing to compare the accuracy of the design.

I loved the bike. It was the only one I needed to complete the collection of that series. It was in perfect condition.

I have had this seat for about 2 months now and love it. I needed a seat that gave me more room for my legs. I always felt cramped and uncomfortable on my Harley Ultra Limited stock seat. I bought this one because of the reviews and I was desperate.

I didn’t enjoy riding my bike for long rides anymore on the stock seat. I can honestly say this seat was worth every penny I paid for it. It gave me about 1. 5 inches more inches from the gas tank and another inch or so higher off the ground.

I was amazed that only a few inches can make a huge difference. It was exactly what I needed to enjoy long rides again.

If you are still riding the stock seat on your sportster this seat will change your ride for the better. My butt was sliding back and forth on my stock seat causing me to be inconsistent in my cornering.

This seat hugs you right to the bike and you will see a marked difference in how much better you ride. Huge difference in comfort also. Excellent cushion and lower back support. You will ride more comfortably for much longer.

I also ride 2 up with my wife quite often and this changed her world. She is so much more comfortable now and enjoys riding even more than she did before. The seat is a little spendy buy it’s worth every penny.

Something to note for shorter riders; this seat will raise you up quite a bit, about 1-1 1/2″. I ride a 1200 Low with a 29″ inseam. I can still firmly plant both feet on the ground but there’s not much bend in the knee any more.

Good seat for the money, but not as great as I was expecting. The seat is a little pricey, but it’s pretty much the best seat you can buy for your money on a sportster. It’s a big improvement from the stock seat, but it isn’t as perfect as I was expecting.

That said, I don’t think you can get a better seat for the sportster with the smaller frame and if you want more comfort then get another bike.

This seat is so well built. When riding on a bumpy road you barely feel the bumps. It is thick with padding and makes for a very comfortable ride. I love it makes my Harley look a 100% better. And you can not find this seat at a lower price than at Revzilla.

Every where I looked this seat was from $455 to $525 Way to go Revzilla.

It is a great product! Super nice replica and everyone loved it! The packaging was also really nice. My boss has a 2017 Street Glide, but the 2015 was really close to his. Great quality for Harley Davidson lovers.

All plastic made and could not stabilize it! I has a YAMAHA toy previously and was more worth!

I’m on a 2021 Road Glide Limited w/ tour pak on the bike. My daughter and I travel together on overnight and weekend rides. The stock suspension was a joke for a premium motorcycle from HD. I came over from a BMW 1200 GSA, and that bike was more comfortable to ride! So I started looking immediately into suspension alternatives.

I have had three back surgeries and multiple knee surgeries, so comfort is important to me for long hours in the saddle. The HD 772 was an incredible change to the rear suspension of the bike! Install was easy and I’m not a big wrench spinner myself.

Using Ohlins setting calculator I ensured the shocks were set up to the recommended settings. The ride was incredible. The harshness that existed before was gone. Big bumps in the road were better absorbed with no sharp suspension inputs from the bike.

I ride interstate frequently to work and at speeds of 75-80 the suspension is solid. I highly recommend these shock for anyone looking to make a $30K motorcycle ride like one. I was going to wait to do the fronts, but I have already scheduled the install.

I love the sound and look of these pipes. They are very loud, which to me is how a Harley should be. I ride a 2014 FSXB Breakout and although it isn’t listed as compatible with these pipes they fit perfectly with no issues.

Super easy install and I’m happy with the results. Also, Revzilla was excellent as I placed my order on a Monday and received my shipment on that Wednesday (nothing worse than waiting forever for parts to come in).

They even emailed me to make sure my billing address and shipping address were correct (because they are two different places). Talk about customer service! It’s nice to know they are paying attention.

I get the impression that if I had an issue it would have been just as simple to resolve based on my experience. Thank you Vance and Hines and thank you Revzilla. I will most certainly be doing business here again.

So out of the box, they were exactly what I expected. The instructions provided weren’t the best, but still was able to figure it out. I have very little experience when it comes to anything mechanical and everything went on pretty easily.

It actually took me longer to get the stock system off than it did to install the new one. Once on, I started it up and got exactly what I wanted. Loud deep exhaust note. I can finally hear my exhaust as I’m cruising down the road.

Sounds beautiful. How a Harley should sound: Powerful. I’ve read around people claiming they’re too loud or annoying but due to their deeper tone the volume really isn’t that bad. Plus with a helmet on they’re even quieter.

Highly recommend. Install a breeze and look amazing.

The Marin Fairfax 3 is my first Marin but my 4th bike in 10yrs the others from trek & fuji. When in unboxed it i couldn’t believe the finish what a beautiful paint job. First ride i thought something was wrong because this bike doesn’t make a sound its the quietest bike i ever road and those Microshift shifters just might be better than Shimano.

Now my wife is selling her bike to procloset for a Marin. Steven in Customer service was great i scratch my headtube badge and he fedex a new one to me. Who does that. Thanks Marin! And thanks Jensonusa.

The Marin 2 Fairview is fantastic. When I brought it into my local bike shop, the bike mechanic ogled it like he wanted to bring it home and have it meet his mother. “That’s a nice bike. Really nice.

” Then he cut in front of me and lifted it to check the bike weight. “Yeah, that’s a really nice bike. ” He’s right. I rode a Specialized hybrid for a dozen years. Great bike, but time to upgrade for fitness/workouts/longer rides.

Sun & Ski were one of only a few places that actually had bikes in stock, in my size especially, a Medium. It shipped right away. Got it right away. There were only two issues, nothing major, both of which they corrected in a timely fashion.

Not right away but in a decent amount of time (within 5 days). Great follow-up. They made things right and I’m a loyal customer now. Back to the bike: it’s sleek, handles well, and is a GREAT deal for the dough.

I did my due diligence because I’m like Ahab when it comes to chasing the Great White Whale of deals.

My regular commute is an undulating to flat 20 kms each way – four to five days a week in all weather. My trusty old commuter was rusting out and deserved retirement. I found an excellent range of fast commuters to choose from on Bicycles Online.

For performance, durability and comfort I had decided I wanted internal gearing, belt drive, discs, dynamo and didn’t want to lose any top speed – no matter what. I picked out a few bikes over the months and after a few emails to Charles settled on the Marin Presidio 4 DLX.

I bought the last Large one in Australia. And pleased I did too. The bike was delivered to my door in Perth within one week, all boxed up and in excellent condition. An hour or so later, I had assembled the bike and was test-riding around home getting the set up ready for the morning commute.

That was nearly a month ago and I have ridden several hundred kms since then in rain, hail, wind and shine. The Marin has exceeded my expectations and in particular, the internal gearing and the belt is as smooth, fast, quiet and clean as I had hoped.

What I didn’t want was to have a kitted out bike that couldn’t keep up with the other riders with good speed. I need not have worried. This bike sets a fast pace as well as carrying the kit. An excellent feature of this bike is the dynamo on the front hub powering the lights – that is another job I don’t have anymore – recharging lights.

So good. I completely recommend Bicycles Online as a store and the belt-drive Marin Presidio as a commuter.

I bought this bike to replace my 30+ Year-old road bike. I didn’t want another road bike because the posture was hard on my wrists. This cruiser fit the bill! So easy and comfortable to ride, and I love how the seat is set so your get can almost touch the ground.

The gears are really easy to shift as well. The only downside is the weight: this girl is very heavy, but it feels so sturdy I don’t mind it too much.

This bike has a new geometry wherein you sit further back and lower to the ground. This makes it easier to reach the ground with your feet, and means that you sit straighter up without putting weight on your hands and arms.

It is more of a recumbent position and I have found it makes for a comfortable ride. The quality of the components (brakes, gears, bearings, seat) is impressively high and exceeds expectations and it seems easy to make adjustments as needed.

My only complaint about the bike is that it is too easy to turn! I’d rather that it stayed more in a straight groove. I imagine this is part of the geometry and that if the front wheel position was moved forward this issue would disappear for me.

Note: The handlebars are somewhat wide – it is comfortable in riding but just be aware if you are riding on a sidewalk there may be little clearance between say a fence and a light pole. All in all a great bike with helpful features and high quality all around.

This is one of the best cruiser bikes I have had. I used to have a PHAT Beach cruiser, it is exactly like that one. There’s enough room between the handlebars in the seat for a larger frame, and the ride is smooth and enjoyable.

The seat is comfortable and you could spend hours biking and not get tired. The frame is strong and durable and the rose gold is a beautiful color as well! This is truly the best value and quality for the price.

My first full chromoly bmx frame. It’s super light and the quality is top tier. Soon I’ll have a full custom bmx. Mostly Cult parts because it’s my favourite brand since I started to watch Anthony Panza.

I highly recommend this frame.
