20 Best Hard Boiled Egg Peeler (2023 Updated)

I watched a bunch of videos about the Negg and read reviews before buying what I thought would be some kind of egg-peeling miracle. When I received it, I followed the instructions exactly and watched 5 videos about how to use it.

I prepared 6 hard-boiled eggs and peeled 3 by hand and 3 using the Negg. It sure did look miraculous in the videos. But for me, peeling them by hand was faster, easier, and I didn’t have the plastic thing to clean.

Not only that — the ends of the Negg snap on so tightly that they’re hard to pry off. Returned. Don’t waste your money. Just make sure to slip the cooked eggs into ice water after you boil them.

We have been trying to peel hard boiled egg since the beginning of time. We have tried all of the gimmicks that people have recommended over the years. This product works. You put a little water into the container you shake it lightly and then you peel the eggs.

We have given them as gifts to friends. And we will continue to use ours in definitely. This is a great product. Remember to put the cooked eggs in ice water minimum 5 minutes before shaking.

I bought one of these and liked it. When it chipped, I bought a few more to replace it. I eat a lot of hard boiled eggs. Peeling them is tedious. This makes it easier. I have not mastered the art of having the shell come off as easily as it does in the promotional video, but it does seem easier than getting it off otherwise.

When I purchased this product for myself I was skeptic about the As Seen On TV claim. This has become one of my favorite kitchen tools and is used almost daily. Once I discovered how well it worked I gifted the set to each one of my children and several friends.

The minute they tried the set they had my same response: “this is the best peeler, quick fine shreder, and hand slicer I have ever used in my kitchen. ” I love how quick and easy I can beautify a salad by using the julienne shredder tool on colorful vegetables, it creates a pretty added effect.

The blades can be used going in any direction, back, forth, up or down, which makes quick work out of anything you may peel. The handle is sturdy and fits perfectly and comfortably in my hand. The peeler seems to hold up well wash after wash (though it says it’s dishwasher safe I hand wash it as my own safety preference).

WARNING: The blades are very sharp and I would definitely keep these tools out of reach and away from the kids. I cut myself several times when I got carried away peeling so beware. I now keep at least one new set of these peelers on hand to give as a hostess gift to my creative cooking friends and they are always happy I introduced them to it.

I would recommend this item to anyone that spends time cooking and creating dishes in their home. The Titan is a little pricey for a peeler but stores do accept coupons, peeler is made from a good grade of stainless steel so it doesn’t rust and have to be replaced time and again, includes two individual peelers that are used for a combination of effects on vegetables and is comfortable to use, so for me it was worth the cost.

Hope you feel the same after using the Titan.

Until I was given one of these years ago, I did not know what I was missing. The ease with which this tool peels potatoes is unbelievable and almost makes peeling fun. Over the years I have recommended this to friends and family and ALL have been very impressed.

Even my skeptical mother remarked that she wished she would have had one of these when we six kids were growing up. The Titan Peeler also is useful on butternut squash and a whiz on carrots. One of my all time best kitchen tools!.

I waited a long time to purchase this and read many reviews on several sites. Now that I have it, I would not be without it. It is so easy to peel garlic! Just make sure it is completely dry. I peeled some garlic, rinsed it out, and then realized that I needed more.

Big mistake – – it did not work. Now, after rinsing it our, I put a piece of paper towel inside and leave it there until I’m ready to use it again. I appreciate the case because it keeps the peeler clean and easy to store.

My sister has owned and loved the Rada stainless line of knives for a number of years. I have often admired them and thought if I were to replace my knives. I would consider Rada. I needed to replace my potato peeler, and thought, this would be an opportunity to begin replacing my cutlery.

Absolutely great product. This is my second one only because the first was lost moving. I will never buy any other vegetable peeler except this one. Next I want some knives. The tomato knife I have from Rada is indispensable.

I had a Pampered Chef Egg Slicer for about 30 years. I used it to slice eggs, strawberries, mushrooms–anything small enough to fit in the slicer. Then one day the wire broke. I purchased a new slicer at the big box store in my neighborhood.

Slicing mushrooms the first time I used it, the wire broke. I took it back and exchanged it for a new one. It too broke, this time slicing a strawberry. I vowed to only purchase my egg slicers from Pampered Chef.

I am really enjoying my can opener and my egg slicer. Before I got my can opener I jad an opener that would cut my fingers after opening the can. So not I got one that cuts smooth. Thank you so much for making one I dont have to worry about getting cut.

Now my egg slicer I always had to cutt my eggs with a knife and never got them all the same size. But now they all the same size and I can make wonderful salads or beautiful plants with sluce eggs on it.

And they never are never broke.

This replaced one that was over 25 yrs old because one of the wires broke. It still sort of worked for a while but then the metal part would not stay in. I gotta say this is a product that goes the distance.

If I want chopped hard cooked eggs I slice them once, then rotate them 90° and slice again. I get julienne slices that way. If I’m really careful I can reposition the egg once again to make tiny cubes.

Don’t get me wrong, this product works VERY well, but TOO well! I’m a skilled cook & not new in the kitchen; I don’t typically injure myself while cooking but things happen. I cut my fingertip the first time I used this peeler so deeply I needed stitches.

It slides like butter & is EXTREMELY sharp. My brother, who is also a very skilled cook, was over for supper & offered to peel the potatoes because I refused to use this peeler again. Even after seeing my injury & taking extra precaution, HE CUT HIS FINGER in the same exact spot, the same exact way also needing stitches!!! I never leave negative reviews but I just wanted to warn people.

If you purchase this product (because, again, it works VERY WELL), please be VERY VERY VERY CAREFUL!!!.

Just before Christmas 2019, I went to my cutlery drawer to get my trusty peeler to peel the spuds for dinner and couldnt find it. Gutted. How can something like that have disappeared After interrogating the kids to find out if theyve used it for a random weird project and still drew a blank, Ive had to order a new one of these.

Id had one of these peelers for many years now. I find it easy and comfortable to hold, its sharp so neatly peels the skin of assorted root veg very easily with minimal effort. Ive got various other styles from I cant even recall where from but this is my go to.

I can peel a stack of spuds for Sunday lunch for 8 people in no time at all. It claims to peel even the toughest fruit vegetable skins. Some of the fruit Ive peeled include oranges, lemons and butternut squash yes butternut squash is a fruit and that was easy to do.

Ive also peeled all the normal sort of veg youd expect, spuds, carrots, swede, parsnips, etc. All were pretty easy to peel. The handle shape is slightly elliptical so it doesnt spin around in your hand.

Its also made of a type of very grippy rubber that has a series of slits along the length of it. This gives you a very sure hold on it whilst peeling and makes it easy to manipulate it to peel even those gnarly shaped ugly vegetables that suddenly went trendy after Jamie Jimmy made us sad about only buying straight and regular shaped veg.

The product blurb says wont slip, even when wet. I can verify that this is true. Its still supergrippy even when its wet, my hand is wet or theyre slick with potato. waterstarchjuiceslightly white wet stuff you get off peeled potatoes.

Its symmetrical in shape with blades on both sides. Im righthanded but I dare say that it would work just as well for someone lefthanded. Ive not had an opportunity to get any of my lefthanded friends to peel my veg to verify this though.

The end of the peeler as a small, sharpish, plastic scoop type feature, the eye remover. That sounds a bit grim so Ive not done that but its great at removing the minging black bits on potatoes. I can confirm that years of use and going through the dishwasher hasnt harmed it in the slightest.

Before my original one randomly went on walkabout, its been through the dishwasher countless times and always looked as good as new. Both my original one and this new one came with a small plastic cover to go over the metal blade section of the peeler the business end.

This is fine but frankly irritating when its just lying about on your work top until youre emptying the dishwasher. I never put it back on my original one and despite being in a drawer with all manner of other utensils, it never got damaged or the blade nicked so I dont think its necessary for the protection of the peeler.

It has the aforementioned big rubbery handle. Just as thats great for holding it securely, its also great for picking it up so Ive also never gut, scraped or nicked my finger with the blade either. I can therefore only conclude that its to keep it all shiny and nice during transit.

Ive therefore sent the peeler sheath in the way of the first one, into the bin. As mentioned, I keep it in a drawer rather than use the large inhandle hole to hang it on something. Im sure you could use it for that but I prefer to hang photos, paintings and maybe a clock on a wall, not vegetable peeling kitchen utensils.

I highly recommend this product if you want to peel fruit and veg.

I bought this peeler after getting tired of the really cheap ones breaking after a very short time and thought it was time to look for something a bit better. The reviews were good and the price was fairly low too, so I thought it would be ideal.

And I must say Im impressedI like the chunky grip, it feels like a good quality item. And its sharp too It peels through many things effortlessly. Potatoes, carrots, and as I just found out, fingers Didnt even feel it.

Its amazing how long it takes a peeled thumb to stop bleeding. No it doesn’t dice. unless you turn the sliced egg ‘sideways’. It’s still a time saver. If you want to do a few of these into a salad. it’s the best! It is a pretty sturdy item too. The wires, that do the ‘cutting’ are of good quality.

I even ran a strawberry through it. they ‘cut’ just fine (a little difficult) but it cut through. Obviously it’s not gonna last forever. but it’s a good item to have around the kitchen! – jef.

I love this tool! It is simple and easy to use. I use my bar stainless steel jiggers as egg cups and my stainless steel milkshake spoons; it almost looks like a set, and makes these items multi purpose ;).

I do pull the handle twice to crack the eggs and then push ever so slightly to one side to release it; I can then lift the top of the egg easily. It works for me every time. I recently had guests and prepared soft boiled for breakfast; they love the tool so I ordered one as a gift for them.

Saw this egg topper recommended by America’s Test Kitchens (along with their foolproof recipe for perfect soft-boiled eggs) and that was good enough for me. You’ve never used anything like this before, probably, so it’s a bit awkward the first several times.

You need to learn to hold the device on top of the egg with one hand and raise the spring-loaded plunger with the other while not letting the cap move around. You will need something like a traditional egg cup to use this device since you cannot also hold the egg in place.

One or two snaps and your boiled egg will be topped with a clean line that leaves very few small pieces. The top of the shell usually lifts off easily. I cannot see how this device could be improved.

Saw this product on a TV cooking show and remembered when my mother and grandmother would use a knife to tap across the egg to separate the top for soft boiled eggs. This gadget is so handy. no more possible egg shells end up in the soft boiled eggs! BB&B did not currently carry this product in their stores, but the staff is so helpful, they ordered it on-line and I received in 3 days.

I purchased this product as a replacement of a similar silicone tube peeler, that I lost during my recent move, and I am almost 100% sure that I bought few years ago at Sur La Table. I was excited to see this one in the store, nice vibrant colors, softer silicone and larger opening at the ends.

It does work very well, makes peeling the cloves much easier and faster. However, I have used it only once, almost 2 months ago, and I still can’t get rid of the “”bad”” garlic smell. The entire corner of the kitchen had this strong, old garlic smell, inside the drawers and cabinets.

I do love garlic, I cook with it almost daily, but I found it is easier to get rid of the smell from my hands, that this silicone tube, that apparently absorbs odors forever. I washed it by hand and in a dishwasher without much help.

I am going to look for the peeler I had in the past.

I love these. I lost mine and immediately purchased several more. They are perfect for peeling garlic. When you smash garlic with a chef’s knife to peel, it crushes the garlic. That makes it more difficult to mince.

With the garlic peeler, the garlic is perfect to use whole, slice, dice or whatever.

This Global vegetable peeler came with 4 blades, but to be honest, I have only used the blade that was attached to the peeler when it arrived (so far). It glides across carrots/parsnips like a hot knife through butter – it is effortless compared to my old generic peeler, and so much quicker!! A perfect tool.

Fantastic peeler! Love being able to do everything with one small, simple tool from peeling potatoes to making courgetti with the different blades. Highly recommend spending on this as saves on the large spiralizers that take up cuboard or work top space.

I cannot comment on the extra blades as this was purchased as a gift, but have the same peeler of my own & find it brilliant; very sharp, no unnecessary wastage as the peelings are so thin.

I was impressed with the Good Cook swivel peeler. Using it was very easy and its performance was great. The sharp rotating stainless steel blade easily grabbed onto a vegetable’s skin and peeled it right off with a clean cut.

The grippy rubber handle makes it very easy to control the peeler and the blade freely rotates allowing for clean and quick peels. The very end of the blade is shaped like a tiny spade which makes it easy to peel off residual skin or imperfections.

I also like the fact that it can be easily rinsed or washed by hand. I would definitely recommend the Good Cook swivel peeler.

I got this peeler because we prefer homemade mashed potatoes in my household. I never got around to using it personally, but my mom did. She typically uses a certain knife to peel potatoes. I handed her this peeler and told her to give it a try.

I love the blade and how it peels with easy however, at the blade end it has one side that extends out much further than the other which makes it extremely difficult to peel large produce such as squash.

I’ve even had difficulty peeling our larger garden potatoes. I end up resorting back to my old school peeler in order to get all the peels off. If I hadn’t destroyed all the packaging, I would have returned it for the other brand that doesn’t have the protruding edge.

Nothing peels faster and safer than this product. I just lay my potatoes and carrots down over a flat surface and peel away. Since you are pressing and peeling over a solid surface, this is where the efficiency comes in.

This is much faster and safer than the standard peelers that run straight with your forearm since I have found that my left thumb and index finger often gets in contact with the blade while peeing with my right hand.

Nothing ruins a cooking experience than tending to a cut. The large ribbed rubber handle is stable and easy to hold. The price is not cheap compared to what you can buy a basic peeler for but the design of this product is excellent.

We rent condos when vacationing with our family, I pack this peeler along with some of my cutting knives as cooking essentials for meals when we are using their kitchens for cooked meals. After I am done with the peeling, I just rinse any residue off and throw it in my dishwasher for final cleaning.

These peelers are super sharp so make sure to keep those plastic guards on when not in use. They are comfortable to hold, even when hands are wet. Blades show no sign of rust, maintain a sharp edge. Machine washable is a plus, although some stuck bits might survive the dishwasher cycle.

Tips: For the Julien blade, first flatten out the surface of the vegetable. Pierce it with a fork to gain leverage. Apply at least double the pressure you apply with the other two tools. -1 star for flimsy safety covers and relatively difficult use of the julienne peeler.

I am a 40-something that has struggled with arthritis and shoulder injuries, so I was THRILLED to have found this handy kitchen gadget. I was so thrilled with it, that I went on to buy four more to give as gifts.

Shortly after, we noticed the button no longer worked, but could fidget with it to get it to work. Well, not long after that t stopped working altogether. We reached out to the company, and after some back and forth, they want a video to prove it isn’t working.

To my dismay and embarrassing, one that we gave as a gift also stopped working within months. Sadly, we haven’y even gotten to use any of the replacement blades. I wish I could recommend this, and am so very sad as peeling is incredibly painful for me and this allowed me to prepare meals I hadn’t been able to.

It automatically shuts off when I gets to the bottom of the potato which is nice if your doing other things as well. Sadly I am returning it because the day before thanksgiving it peeled a whole potato and when I put the second one on it started going really slow then completely stopped and wouldn’t come back on.

you can twist which side you prefer to use as a peel. one side is for soft peel and the other side if for hard peel. This item is worth every penny. I also love the color.
