The go-to leash for essentially any situation, it works by attaching to a lightweight, reflective waist belt so you can have both your hands back. This means you can take your dog running, hiking, or even just take a call while out for a stroll.
And thanks to the spring factor of the bungee leash, if your dog takes off after a squirrel, it will help to absorb some of the shock. And for crowded situations, the built-in control handles are right there to grab so you can keep your pooch close.
I’ve used a “normal” leash with my year-and-a-half old Australian Shepherd ever since we first got her, and have never had issues with it. The idea of running with her has always been interesting to me, though, so I decided to buy this leash to start training her to run.
Unexpectedly, this has become both of our new favorite leash, and we use it all the time now! I love being able to let go completely without needing to worry about losing her, and she likes the greater level of freedom that the stretchiness provides.
Having the leash flex a bit helps her understand when she’s coming up on the furthest she can get from me, since there’s no longer either “no slack” or “all the slack” with nothing in between. Additionally, since she’s often tethered at home as part of training, the hands-free leash means I don’t have to be holding the leash or have it wrapped around my thigh just to know where she is.
I confess, I am paranoid about my 14-month old Pembroke Welsh Corgi getting away from me somehow and taking off on our walks. (We’re still working on a 100% reliable recall. ) Up until today my previous cautionary method to prevent that has been to outfit her with both a regular leather collar and leash AND a rope slip-lead so that if my leash clip failed, she slipped her collar, etc.
, the slip lead would prevent her from running off. In May I learned that NOTHING is foolproof. I stepped on a rock the wrong way and without any warning, suddenly I was on the ground, blacked out for a moment and unknowingly let go of BOTH leashes.
Luckily, my dog found something interesting to investigate and was only a few feet away before kind neighbors came to our rescue. Turns out I had broken my ankle. Now that I am mobile enough for dog walking again, yesterday I ordered the Tuff Mutt Hands-Free Leash.
It arrived today and this afternoon I used it in tandem with my regular leather leash and collar for the first time. Success! Now I have the peace of mind and security of having her on two leashes but I only have to worry about holding onto one.
You know how people say their dog is “attached to them at the hip”? Well, now mine truly IS!.
Okay, so I don’t usually review things, but I love this leash so much I’m actually going to do it. I have a 6 year old American Staffordshire Terrier/Boxer mix who I adopted about three years ago. He is high energy, high intelligence, and insanely curious.
Any time we would walk or run, he would get a bit distracted and pull to trail a scent. This isn’t really an issue as much anymore with training, but we live in a big city and there is a LOT going on at all times.
So he gets a lot of stimulation on walks. This being said, I have bad shoulders due to military service. When I adopted Bourbon, it was actually painful to train him how to walk properly on the lead.
I got there eventually but there are still hiccups. I WISH I would have found this sooner or had someone recommend it to me. This leash really helps relieve my shoulders from the jerking of a hyper dog when running or walking and actually helps me use my center of balance to keep better control.
The bungee of the leash ensures that jerking is no longer even a thought in my head! It’s adjustable so it fits my 130lbs 5’2 frame just as well as my best friends 210lbs 6’2 frame. I can finally enjoy my high energy burning activities with my pup without pain!.
The Roamer is an adjustable stretch-webbing running dog leash that can be hand-held or worn around the waist for a dynamic hands-free leash experience. Wavelength stretch webbing keeps humans and canines connected while allowing an extended range for roaming and exploring.
The user-friendly side release buckle, reinforced with an aluminum Uniloop, provides exceptional strength, while Ruffwears unique Talon Clip offers a strong and secure leash-to-collar attachment. Waist adjusts up to 48 in (122 cm).
This leash is so well designed! The ability for the human to wear it around their waist is very nice for jogging and being hands free. I am 5’4″, so the shorter version is okay for me, but my 6’4″ spouse would be more comfortable with the longer version, and we may get another one in the longer length for this reason.
It is super easy to adjust the length to switch between wearing it around your waist and being used hand held. The bungee is excellent for Socks to be able to wander a little but also be reminded that she’s still attached to the leash, and is great when jogging and she stops suddenly to investigate an interesting smell.
The loop near the clasp is also excellent when we need to keep Socks a little closer when passing people on the trail. I am especially excited to use it more on trail runs as it gets cooler. All in all, it is worth the $40+ price tag (the first non-recycled from climbing rope leash we’ve ever had) and I’m so glad I purchased it.
This multi-functional lead was designed by Dr Roger Mugford to provide optimum control and to simplify training with headcollars or harnesses. This lead enables you to control guide and tether a dog in everyday situations.
It is made from soft padded material which makes it very comfortable to hold and with eight uses it is a versatile lead for all your training needs. Use the short length for heel training or normal walking medium length for obedience training and long length for recall or distance work.
Recommended for use with the HALTI headcollar or harness it is great for hands-free dog training double steering for optimum HALTI control as well as easy supervised tethering. You can also walk two dogs on one lead making use of the double ended trigger hook.
Small length 2m and width 1. 8cm large length 2m and width 3cm.
I have had two of these leashes for well over a decade now, using them for my third dog, and they are still going strong. They certainly have a few nicks, but the leather is still soft, supple, and strong.
I had no idea until I saw this listing that it was supposed to be used this way, as a no-pull leash. I bought them because I needed an adaptable leash I could put over my shoulder bandolier-style or around my waist as well as for normal use.
They have served brilliantly this way. It’s so versatile. I also use it to tether my dog to various objects as needed, currently most often my wheelchair so he doesn’t pull me out of it. Because both ends have snaps, I never have to remove it from my dog’s harness as one has to do with regular leashes.
When using as a regular leash, the end is definitely a little funky, but if you turn it so the ring on the outside, and attach the snap to the sliding ring, you can snug it down to fit closely, instead of wide open like normal leash handles, and even wrap your wrist multiple times if needed to control your dog.
It gives much more security that the one-size regular leash loop, too, because it will mostly tighten down when the dog pulls. I’m going to try it as a no-pull leash, but it clearly won’t have a handle like the one that came with our no-pull harness, so I’m skeptical.
I’ve used Halti training leashes for my dogs for years. The first one I bought in England over 15 years ago is still in use daily today! This is a popular leash to use with the Halti head collar for pups that pull during a walk.
However I don’t use the head collar anymore for taking the dogs for a walk. A dog trainer in the UK recommended the Halti head collar and the Halti leash with my now 16 year old Border Collie when he was a wee puppy and I’m glad she did.
What I love about the training leash is that I can adjust the length of the leash using the rings and the clip without wrapping it around my hand. This is helpful if you have a leash reactive dog or you are in a crowd and you want more control over your pup to giving them a longer length of leash if you are hiking.
The leash is great to clip on a poop bag holder and a bag of treats for when out and about. The leash feels soft in the hand not rough and stiff like some nylon leashes. It’s tough too! They have seen though pulling of Border Collies, 65 lb Collie Newfoundland mix and a 75 lb Collie Irish Wolfhound mix before training to walk on a loose leash.
The variable length is great to train puppies and dogs the recall before busting out a 10 ft or more training line. You can also use them to walk multiple dogs or clip the leash on to you for hands free walking.
This is the only leash I will ever buy and I’m so glad to find it available in the US!.
I just opened the package and was blown away. From the product photos, I was not expecting the hefty, quality construction at all. (Even the packaging is impressive. ) My clever 3 yr old German Shorthair recently won a scholarship to obedience school and we needed a 6′ leash.
Counting her breeder, we are Bonnie’s 4th home and she came with some issues, mostly pulling and lunging unexpectedly on leash. See below on another Halti product: Halti Head Halter: This WORKS fairly well to curb pulling/lunging, but Bonnie HATES it.
She constantly tries to rub it off on the back of my knee or in the grass. I’ve tried chest-type no-pull harnesses, but Bonnie is a front leg amputee and they don’t stay in place to be effective.
Perfect for active dog owners who want to bring their furry companion along for a run or hike, this leash offers full control while going totally hands free. Attaching to the included waistband, it uses a flexible bungee that works as a shock absorber, so you’ll stay on your feet even if your dog goes after a stray squirrel.
The reflective stitching offers nighttime visibility, while the durable materials are made to last, which means you can look forward to years of bonding activities with your dog.
The item itself seems pretty good, it just doesn’t work real well for me. The belt doesn’t go very small. There should definitely be multiple sizes or at least the size range should be listed in the description.
If my hips were any smaller I wouldn’t be able to use it; it doesn’t come close to fitting around my waist. Also the leash is pretty heavy. I have a large dog so not a problem for him, but it wouldn’t work for a little dog.
If I did it again, I would go for a shorter leash too. I’m short, so between the heaviness of the leash and the fact that the belt hangs down on my hips the leash is almost dragging on the ground even with my big chocolate lab.
I end up holding it up whenever he decides to walk right next to me which defeats the purpose of a hands free leash. I do like the metal clip attachments.
I would have given this item 5 stars, but I’m not really fond of the stretchy part closest to the pooch. But this may be as my puppy is still in training. I would have rather had the item without it and instead had that part be adjustable like the waist section.
Having the additional loop by the dog’s neck is also handy. Seems-well made and just LOVE having my hands free, especially when on “pick up” patrol.
So I just decided to rescue a 3 year old pointer, had no idea what I was getting myself into! Well we are only a week in and he need a lot of exercise ALOT! So he goes everywhere with me. I am a mom of 2 small kids and i raise rabbits.
So i need to be able to have my hands free at all times to catch small children who like to wonder off or to care for rabbits. So decided to give this a chance and it hasnt let me down yet! I cant stress how great it is.
The dog stays close yet we have just enough room. I ride my bike and he does great keeping up and not going to close or to far!! He is still under control around the rabbits yet able to check them out.
Most importantly being a mom and dog own i can pick up my 1 year old and not be all tangled up in the leash! Its worth every bit of money!.
Walking or running with your furry friend has never been easier than with the JesPet Bungee Reflective Standard Dog Leash! This handy leash is designed with an adjustable waist belt and a bungee feature, that allows you to keep your hands free, so you can hold your belongings and check your phone.
And the lightweight waist belt is also reflective, so it’s safe to use at night, too! This leash also has two handles and a short length, so you can keep your paw-tner nice and close to you without tripping over him.
And the lightweight waist belt is also reflective, so it’s safe to use at night, too! This shock-absorbing, bungee leash has a 48-inch lead that extends up to 60 inches. The leash can attach to the included adjustable waist belt with the durable clip, for hands-free convenience.
The belt clip can slide, allowing your pup to move from side to side, reducing tangles and tripping. Features 2 control handles that can be used to help keep your pup closer to you in crowded areas. Designed with three seams of bright, reflective stitching, so it can be used for running, hiking or walking during the day or at night!.
This leash is fabulous! After a few months of Midwest winter my pup had forgotten her training and doubled in size. Our walks were spent wrestling with her to get her to stop pulling. I had heard about the hands free leashes and figured I would give it a shot.
I’m so glad I did! Now we are back to enjoying our walks. I love that it has multiple options for handles for distractions (cars/people/animals) and allows her to roam freely when she is being good and not pulling.
I wish I would have gotten it sooner. Very happy with this leash and highly recommend:).
So it does work as a hands free leash. I will say if you’re wide at the waist just keep in mind this may not be the leash for you as it only widens so much. The bungee design is great to absorb any pulling.
I do think it’s a bit short but if you’re walking on trails with other people that’s great. The leash does slide around on the waist belt if your dog moves to your left or right which feels really strange.
Was hesitant to order this because of the lower price compared to others, lack of reviews, and no info on the waist belt length range, but I liked that this had handle loops at top and bottom (vs in middle of the leash), and it’s been great so far.
This waist belt can shorten up to 25” around, but the shorter you go the less area is available on the belt for the leash attachment to slide along. The bungee is pretty strong – our 35 lb lab mix isn’t exactly big enough to stretch it out to full length, but it does provide a good shock absorption when she tugs.
The leash is only 4’, but you could lengthen the waist belt to add length and use it has a loop handle if you wanted. Would definitely recommend this as a basic hands free leash, especially for the price.
The LucyBelle Pets Hands-Free Running Dog Leash allows you to enjoy the freedom of running hands-free with your pup. This high-quality, an adjustable hands-free running leash is great for running, walking, or even biking with you dog.
I love this for walking my Dobermans. I am teaching them to heel and they don’t like the snap-back of the elastic leash and I can be working with one dog and have the other one around my waist and I don’t need my hands for that one.
I have a deaf pitty (AmStaff) and she is a very strong puller. I use this leash plus a second leash with harness on her for our walks. This around-the-waist leash gives me a lot of stability as it ‘grounds’ her to me.
No more feeling like my arms are getting pulled out of their sockets!!!.
Pawtitas Reflective Hands-Free Running Dog Leash, Purple; Bring your furry friend when you go out to exercise with Pawtitas Reflective Hands-Free Running Dog Leash. This leash wraps around your waist for a more natural running gait and to free up your hands.
Constructed of a single piece of rip-stop nylon to increase tensile strength, it is folded over and reinforced for durability. This leash also features a reflective ribbon and reflective stitching on for maximum visibility.
With neoprene padding in the handle, Pawtitas Reflective Hands-Free Running Dog Leash is as comfortable as it is safe for you and your companion.
I enjoyed walking hands-free and there doesn’t seem to be anything wrong with the product itself. A dog sitter actually recommended elastic leashes since the tension increases gradually. However, my puppy, who is used to walking with a looser leash, displayed a worrying amount of leash-based aggression when I switched to this.
I became scared approach other dogs for fear that he’d bite them. After consulting with a vet and switching back to the original leash, my puppy returned to his excitable, well-socialized self.
Bought this leash hoping it would work for our two chihuahua and chinese crested dogs. Sadly it’s a bit too big and bulky for them. The quality of the leash is good and feels great in hand, but the medium/large size is for dogs probably 35lbs.
& over. It’s got some weight to it. Also the connection where the two leashes meet also does not have that swivel piece that allows the dogs to move freely and not get tangled onto each other. For these reasons I would not recommend this leash.
Comfortable, bounce-free, load-dispersing design Intuitive leash attachment release for quick disconnect Zippered, water-resistant pocket Stretch mesh pocket for quick access to essentials 21 oz (0. 6 L) BPA-free Ruffwear water bottle The Trail Runner System enhances miles on the trail by providing a hands-free hip belt and leash system that allows easy access and carrying of essentials.
The Trail Runner Belt offers humans a comfortable, bounce-free, load-dispersing design with an intuitive leash attachment release for quick disconnect when needed. The belt includes a zippered, water-resistant pocket, a stretch mesh pocket, and an included 21 ounce, BPA-free Ruffwear water bottle that fits securely in a holster on the back.
While the belt is compatible with any leash, this system includes our shock-absorbing Ridgeline Leash, designed at a length that’s optimized for running or walking.
This is a thoughtful running belt. I use it for both of our dogs (usually at the same time) and it’s comfortable. I especially like the pockets; the zipper one is large enough for my phone, poop bags, earbuds, and keys with room to spare.
The other pocket is nice for used poop bags, I love not having to carry it around until I find a trash bin! The belt rests nicely on my hips and the bottle holder is secure. It does slowly twist around when the bottle is full, but it’s easy to put back.
It’s a delicate balance to get the tightness right and not restrict my breathing. I would be interested in sizing for this since it’s almost cinched as tight as it goes and my waist is about 30″, so for smaller people, it might not get tight enough, FYI!.
Excellent product. I had a running leash previously but was poor quality and uncomfortable me. Bought this and very comfortable. I read another review stating the dog had got detached from the lead. I would guess due to user error and think there should be instructions for proper use as well as a few design improvements.
1. Dog end of lead should auto-lock rather than depend on user pushing forward the lock. 2. Person-end – plastic clamp feels like it could be better designed so not dependent on user closing clamp proximal to green threaded tack.
3. Bottle holder could be detachable. I do like this feature but on most runs I don’t use it.
After receiving it and seeing how lightweight the whole setup is then reading some reviews that mentioned slipping, I was expecting to not like this. Then I used it. It works great with my 60+ lb heeler who likes to pull.
I will probably replace the bottle with an insulated one since I use it more for long walks/hikes in the south Texas heat but all the other features are great. I also have a couple of Roamer leashes and Eddie managed to snap the smallish buckle on one of those once chasing a cat but the way this belt works I’m confident that won’t happen again.
The Kurgo Quantum Dog Leash can be converted into 6 different leashes and leads just with a simple Carabiner adjustment. It can switch from a 6-foot lead to a shoulder or waist leash for hands-free use, to a double dog walker.
A floating padded handle provides you with the utmost comfort and support in every configuration. Great dog leash for running with your pup.
This is a great utility leash with a nice back side clip providing several options for wear. I use it as a standard 6’ grab and go but often turn it into a cross body over the shoulder which is great when I need extra hands to carry groceries or kids.
In a pinch I use in belt mode for short runs. The daisy chain stitching provides plenty of comfortable fit options for me. (6’1” with 36” waist). The quality is good so far (one month in) and I have grown confident in using it as a tie off for short periods as long as I’m present such as open garage situation.
My one wish is that the reflective ribbing would go end to end, it is only on the tail half, away from the collar clip.

Love this! We have used many leashes and this is paws down my favorite. Highlights for me: – Webbing is soft and does not cut my hands if my dog pulls it through my fingers. – But, is still thick and sturdy enough to handle my sled dog’s pulling! – Neoprene handle is soft and wide enough to use easily even when wearing winter gloves.
– The rubber grip lower down on the leash is great for traction when bringing my dog closer. – D-ring is handy for clipping small objects (though in practice I only want soft objects on there – it’s unpleasant to have a hard flashlight, bag holder, or swinging freely and whacking me or my dog as we walk!) – I wish this leash came in light solid colors – like silver, or turquoise! A few wish list items – – I wish the traffic handle were also padded – for one, it’s hard to open the loop if my dog is straining at the leash.
It would be nice to have a second neoprene handle lower on the leash, but I appreciate that that could make the whole thing heavier. – I wouldn’t mind if it were slightly longer – like 6-12 longer, before stretching? And, alternate versions of this leash, for different situations: – a non-bungee version, still with the rubber grip and padded handle(s) – honestly I would be willing to trade the traffic handle for the rubber grip, though I’d prefer to have both; – a version with a buckle handle, so that the leash can be clipped around/through a fence or railing.
But as-is, I am perfectly happy with this leash! Gives me a lot of control with comfort, and is durable and reasonably priced.
Good leash, well made. This leash won’t teach your dog to not pull on the leash. A wonderful tool for leash training is the face lead. As opposed to the choke or prong collar, esp for smaller breeds that are delicate.
When the dog pulls on the face lead it just pulls their heads down. Then they stop pulling. It’s great! Eventually they will just learn not to pull and you don’t need it!.
Kurgo Springback Lite Dog Leash, Gray, 30 to 36-in; Get ready to hit the trails with your adventurous canine with the Kurgo Springback Lite Dog Leash! Designed for running, this tough yet lightweight leash has an internal bungee that provides an additional 6 inches of stretch when your buddy decides to make unpredictable movements.
This leash is 30-inches long, weighs just over 3 ounces and has 3/4 inch tubular webbing for added strength. It’s paw-fect for quick trips and easily stows away in a car glove box for easy access. To clean it, simply hand wash or spot clean, and air dry.
For the perfect hands-free running experience, pair this leash with Kurgo’s K9 Excursion Running Belt or RSG Utility Belt (each sold separately).
I love this leash! As much as I’ve wanted to have a dog who walks perfectly on a leash, that’s just not the case with my 80 lb boxer. I’ve begun to dread walking with him. He does well for the most part, but he pulls and jolts and this leash actually allows for me the leash to absorb the impact instead of my shoulder! The stretch in the leash allows me to be able to handle him easier and him not to get choked when he’s excited.
The handle is very comfortable for my hand. The leash is thick and strong and I don’t have to worry about it breaking. The clasp is also durable.
I’ve never used a bungy leash before, but was keen to try anything that would help with the pressure on my shoulders when my dog pulls. The leash is a great length, with a nice comfy loop for the hand/wrist.
The springback is very positive and hopefully will continue to be so, with use. It’s definitely made it more enjoyable to walk my boy when he’s in “that mood” (ie the first 200m out of the door is always mayhem).
The best bit, is that when he calms down, he eases off as soon as he feels the bungy start to stretch, which means that I don’t even have to give him the “heel” command. I also use it in the mountains when we are on more complicated terrain, but I need him on the leash- eg when there are deer about.
I extend it with a sling, and it gives us a nice springy long leash that helps us get up and down rocky paths. I think this is a great piece of kit, and am really glad I bought it. Well worth the money, and by no means expensive.
This leash really is designed best for the waist belt. I like the shorter length and the extra give from elastic part. When using a waist belt the length is long enough but not too long so there is just enough slack.
My dogs are able to stay along side of me as we run. For dogs who like to stay ahead of their owner as they run this may not be the best length. It’s a standard attachment to the collar and it swivels.
The handle is good for attaching to the waist belt itself and to use by hand as along as your dog does not pull. The handle is not padded so I would imagine that for a longer walk with a dog who pulls would not be very comfortable.
Run, walk or hike with your dog at your side with PetSafe’s Hands-Free Leash. Put the belt around your waist and attach it to the leash for hands-free use. Velcro closure on the belt allows you to adjust the length from 31″ to 53″.
Leash features an adjustable length from 31″ to 54″ that makes it perfect for using during any activity. Snaps on the leash allow for easy attachment and detachment to the belt and the dog’s collar.
I wish there was a little more length ability as I have a long stride and the pups and I were use to a longer extension, we aren’t running though so maybe for runners it’s the perfect length. Once adjusted to your waist, it’s easy and seems like it will work well for the long haul.
It swivels around easily enough when the pup gets ahead/behind/or sideways. I liked it so much I gifted one to my friend who just had shoulder surgery so she could still get out!.
I was a little hesitant when buying this because it has a Velcro closure for the belt. I have a boxer who really pulls on walks especially when he sees people and other dogs. I usually wrap his leash around the back of my body for leverage if he really gets excited and starts pulling.
After testing this product I am pleasantly surprised at how well it worked! (My husband was sure he was going to have to come rescue me because our dog took me down for the count while wearing this device.
lol. ) My boxer did his usual hard pulling and the Velcro stayed closed and it didn’t hurt my back. I gave him the longest length of the leash and when he would try to pull he would basically run in place.
FYI I am a 5’2″ 115 lbs. petite build and he’s a 90 lbs. muscular build. Considering we’re almost equal weight and when he stands on his hind legs he’s the same height as me I’d say it works amazing! I have yet to try it while jogging but am very pleased with it’s durability and performance thus far! I feel ridiculous while wearing it but it works great! Thanks Chewy!!!.
Color: **Coastal Blue** | Style: **Leash** The Kurgo Quantum Dog Leash can be converted into 6 different leashes and leads just with a simple carabiner adjustment. It can switch from a 6-foot lead to a shoulder or waist leash for hands-free use, to a double dog walker.
A floating padded handle provides you with the utmost comfort and support in every configuration. Great dog leash for running with your pup.
I really wanted to love this leash, I’ve had it in my cart for months but finally decided to get it with a coupon i had. At 50$ its quite pricey but it is very well made and sturdy. Its got a very pretty shiny satiny embossed finish to it that I was not expecting.
I assumed it was the typical nylon leash material. The handle is very comfortable too. I like the fact is adjustable too. My only gripe is that while I bought the small size, I feel it is too big. The carabiner is pretty big although it is lightweight.
It also scratches VERY easily! My looks quite used after only one walk. I think this would be a great leash for a medium sized dog.
There are leashes and then there is gear, the kind of gear you take pleasure in using because it is so well made, so thoughtful. This leash is on its own level, from the padded handle, to the amazingly secure yet light carabiner collar/harness attachment, to the finely-made metal adjustment “slide” and the subtle camo design, you can tell that every element is intentional and well-considered.
Am I the kind of person who raves about the perfect mug or vacuum cleaner? No, not at all. Am I a gear head? No, not at all. I am the kind of person who appreciates quality and this leash has it all.
Although I use my hands occasionally to redirect my 19kg / 42lb medium height dog, most of the time it’s a completely relaxed hands free experience with the 4’ lead. Longer would be too much downtown, as it would allow him to roam towards street garbage and other distractions a bit too freely, but I can easily adjust the keash a couple of feet longer if we’re in a park.
The KONG Padded Hands-Free Leash offers you more freedom while still being in control on walks with your furry friend. This leash features a waist strap that allows you to walk your dog hands free, and may be used a temporary tie out for pet parents who enjoy taking their dogs to dog-friendly establishments.

8 m x 2. 5 cm) Caution: Not for tie out. Temporary tie out option intended to be used for a short duration under close supervision.
Kong is an excellent product, built to last. The traffic leash is perfect for walking my dog who is quite strong and being to put her on what I call the short leash (traffic handle) keeps her under control is congested places.
I would recommend this leash for all dogs who are walked a lot in congested areas.
Leashes are very good quality. Not easy to rip. Really well made heavy duty. Dogs Enjoy this toy. I bought this toy at pet smart. Great value. Not that pricey. I would recommend this toy to people with bigger dogs.
I just bought the green, blue and purple ones for my three dogs (two labs and a German Shepard) They are comfortable to hold with the wide grip. My dogs generally do not pull but when they do, this leash is easy on everyone and I’m not worried about it being uncomfortable for them.
They are thick and durable and I am sure they will last awhile. We also got the matching collars for them. First collars and leashes that have not been chewed up or through so yay for that!.
Our Lifetime Lite adjustable leash can also be used hands-free by securing it around your waist, allowing for the most flexibility across every adventure. Handmade in Colorado and guaranteed for life, even if your pup destroys it.
I really love and want to continue loving this product. The materials are clearly top notch. However, the main buckle mechanism is tough to work with. It’s finicky to latch – only will “click” in when perfectly aligned.
I think these buckles are made for motorcycle helmets. This can be difficult when getting around your waist with a coat, or other items on the body. Adjusting the length is nearly impossible! Which is infuriating.
As you have to adjust the length of the waist strap more often then you think to accommodate different layers, or pant styles. Also , I have a partner who shares this leash with me, and we have very different waists.

I love walking our 2 Shelties, but I had a situation a while ago where I tripped over when about to cross a busy road. The lead came out of my hand, but luckily the boys didn’t wander off, & miraculously, motorists kindly stopped for us to regather.
I didn’t want to push my luck, as it’s highly probable (I’m elderly) that I could trip again. Waggle came to the rescue with their extensive product line, when I discovered the Ezy Dog Handy Leash. It’s a godsend, as we now have a new puppy, who is very skitish, & hasn’t developed any road sense yet.
To the product itself, it’s very comfortable, self tightens if strain is put on it, like the situation above, & I see it as a cheap, one off insurance payment. Obviously my situation is unique, but the item qualifies as a best buy, just on it’s degree of comfort & price.
Excellent, perfect fit for both my wife’s and my hands. Self tightening it is a great insurance if you have pups that suddenly go and usual leads can be snatched from your hand. Highly recommended wish we had found previously.
Caldwell’s Original Running Leash; Go for a stress-free run, jog, power walk or just a casual stroll with your pup with Caldwell’s Original Running Leash. Using only the best materials, Caldwell’s has developed a long-lasting leash made from industrial-grade polyester webbing—the same material as seat belts.
This hands-free leash can be adjusted to fit around your waist and snaps shut with a quick-release buckle. You can also adjust the length of the lead for more control. The leash and belt are lined with reflective thread for safe nighttime runs, and they’re water-repellent and mildew resistant to hold up in all types of weather.
Although it’s extremely durable, this running leash has soft, smooth edges and a shiny, polished appearance. It’s great for all kinds of daily outings and frees up your hands so you can carry groceries, make calls or open doors while keeping your dog safe by your side.
our dog is 2. 5yo 65lb mutt who is relatively chill but strong. We’ve tried regular leashes, climbing rope leashes, fancy silicone, bungee leashes and bungee hands free. We stay away from bungee because the bungee eventually gives out and it turns into a regular leash after a few months of daily use.
This has been our longest lasting (just from what we do on a regular basis and what works for us) and we find ourselves wanting more similar to this leash. It rotates well when dog likes to switch lanes, we like the buckle release for both the waist and for the leash.
The only reason we need another one and hopefully the clip is updated, is because she can shake off the leash and we believe it’s because of the tarnish. We’ve gone hiking, running, swimming in this leash and it’s definitely our favorite.
Not willing to spend more than this now that this has worked so well for us.
This leash is great overall. We had a kong brand leash that was similar that eventually needed to be replaced. This leash definitely not as “strong”/tough feeling. Our dog pulls very hard and isn’t great on the leash so if that is not you, I doubt it will matter.
Still this leash is working just feels a little lighter fabric than the other.
My family recently acquired a standard labradoodle puppy and I (mom) found it impossible to do household chores and supervise the puppy at the same time. This was the answer to my dilemma. The waist belt for me and the attached leash for the puppy allowed me to move about hands-free throughout my multiple level house all the while keeping the puppy right next to me.
The belt and the leash are both sturdy and well made. One thing though, I don’t think the belt would extend out enough to fit an extra large man’s waist.
Safely tether your pet to your body, allowing unhindered movement while on the go. Adjustable Padded Waistbelt securely clips around your body and features a 48-inch lead. Two handles are built into the leash allowing for greater control when necessary.
Flexible bungee design reduces pulling. Reflective safety stitching improves visibility both roadside and trailside. Detachable lead functions as a regular leash.
There are many benefits to using a hands free dog leash when running, including being able to keep your hands free for other activities, being able to keep your dog close to you, and having more control over your dog.
