This can opener is so easy. You set it on top of the can and press a button. No balancing act like other can openers. Plus its small footprint means easy to store…best of all…no electric cord!

Had one of these for five years before it quit working loved it. Had three trying to replace it haven’t had good luck but this one just might do it so far it’s been operating the way it should. So happy so far!!.

works awesome, came with a bunch of cupons. i have a immune disorder that messes with my nerves, and i use this for catfood cans with no pull tab. It’s easier than another hand held opener i got previously.

There are no sharp edges on the cans, so i can put the lid back on and store it in my fridge safely. Worth it.

My not so old, different brand, electric can opener was on the fritz right before Thanksgiving! I needed a new one right away. I saw this one and remembered that I use to have a Hamilton Beach can opener that lasted forever, so I decided to buy it, I am so glad I did.

The cans hook on easily and the the lever is easy to push. I love that it comes off for easy cleaning. The top that comes off to open large cans is so innovative, I can’t believe nobody thought of this before! This can opener is a good size, but doesn’t take up a lot of precious counter space.

I absolutely love this can opener and I’m hoping it will last as many years as my last Hamilton Beach.

This product is a game changer in my kitchen! I had a manual can opener, but with auto-immune issues I would often have my husband operate it as it was too difficult for me at times. Now I can cut any lid without using my hands to turn and that’s a big thumbs up from me! I like that you can switch between using it as a traditional can opener or detach the top to use on big cans, again hands free.

Messes are nonexistent and forget worrying about sharp lids, or the lid getting stuck to the can. Cordless and rechargeable it lasts a long time after being fully charged. It doesn’t take up much cupboard space and I like the sleek modern look of the unit.

Love this can opener. I have been using this can opener for a few months now. I have not experienced any of the negative things I have seen in other reviews. It works well. There are no sharp edges left on the cans.

I haven’t had to change the batteries yet. Also it has worked with every can I have tried. I like that it’s small and can be stored with the silverware and not taking up counter space.

it also has a restart and reverses button which is helpful for more sturdy cans. The magnetic can top remove is a nice touch to safely remove the lid of cans. The opener requires 2 AA batteries which are not included, it would be nice if they had been but not a biggie and there’s an auto shut-off function to help save battery life.

The Goodcook Automatic Handheld Can opener is easy to use, it takes 2 AA batteries (not included) it easily sits on the can, I turn the on switch and it opens the can, cutting on the inside lip. When it is done, it shuts itself off.

I would only add to tear off the top part of the paper label, it leaves a small strip of paper that fell in my food. A magnet on the underside of the can opener holds the lid for easy disposal.

This smooth touch electric can opener is just that – smooth to use. Tall enough for all cans. Looks smart on the counter. Leaves NO sharp edges at all. I always thought that if the lid came off with no sharp edges, then the can itself would have a sharp edge all around the top.

Wrong! Somehow this can opener manages to cut the top off and leave a smooth, non-sharp lid which is harmless to anyone, and also a smooth, rolled top all around the can – I now feel comfortable leaving an opened can in the ‘fridge with lid on and no worries that someone else will cut themselves if they pick it up.

My biggest sense of comfort comes from the fact that NO ANIMALS will ever cut themselves if they forage in recycling bins – mine or the destination of my cans once picked up by the Blue Bin folk. I always consider this whenever I discard anything, even cutting plastic bags up so no little creature gets stuck inside.

Now I know my washed cans will cause no harm to anyone or anything – great.

I have had this can opener for about a year. It’s a nice design and at first I really liked it. I love the way it secures the can when you mash the top. All the others are such a hassle trying to get the can aligned so it will work.

I dislike having to hold the top down for it to actually cut open the can. The main issue with this model can opener for me is that about 99% of the time, it cuts the can where the glue is and you have to take the time to remove the glue from the top of the can before using the contents.

Another big issue is there are metal strips along the outside top of the can especially where the final cut is. Who wants metal being in their food causing a potential health hazard. This can opener definitely has flaws and Hamilton Beach should find a way to remedy them.

It would be worth it’s weight in gold if those problems didn’t exist. As for me, I am tired of having to make sure glue and metal aren’t going in my food. Time to find another can opener.

I got this and opened one can. It cut great, fast, quiet. But since this opener cuts on the sides of cans, rather than into the top, the top lid that is cut is the exact same circumference as the can.

So be mindful for those who like to drain excess liquid contents packed inside of cans like in tuna, canned veggies, or anything with excess packing liquid you don’t want. You cannot effectively drain fully or rinse well with cans opened with side openers.

I am one who likes to use the cut lid inside the can as a strainer or plunger to drain, then rinse and drain again in the sink. I hated to return it after one use and get a traditional opener. Not because of quality, but my own ignorance.

It never occurred to me about side openers and boy did I feel dumb. So just a heads up to those before buying side openers who may be looking for a new opener. If you ok with them, this one seemed good and came highly rated.

The hand held battery operated can opener is a marvelous product. Opens any size jar and is great for people who have arthritic hands and lack hand strength. Opens the side of the can so there are no sharp edges like a traditional opener.

This can opener is so easy to use and works every time. Through the years have never found a can opener that worked easy. You always had to fight to get it aligned correctly or they just didn’t cut, etc.

it did take me a couple of tries the first time to align the can opener properly but now it is so easy. Set it on the can, press the button and watch it go. Press to stop.

Many typical electric can openers are made in a style that limits size of can that can fit there. I went back to old fashion hand crank style which opens all size cans but no matter which brand I bought they all skipped spaces and I couldn’t remove the lid without lots of effort to try to finish the cut! And then the lid tipped into the liquid in the can! I decided to try Smart Touch.

used my gift coupon. great! NOW THE PROBLEM! I didn’t know how to sit it on the can! I Googled directions but some weren’t clear until I saw the actual Seen On TV inventor instructions! It would be helpful if the directions were printed on package> sit opener on lid with blade OVER THE EDGE OF THE CAN.

It cuts around the outside of the can. I forgot that important fact! Best Goggle directions were on the Seen on TV with inventor speaker. On 1st try, I let it run around the lid and it kept going. never stopped until I lifted it.

It did bend the can in spots but didn’t cut me. I like it because I don’t have to fight with it like I did with others! IT KEEPS THE CONTENTS GERM FREE BECAUSE LID DOESN’T FALL IN THE CAN! I’m satisfied on 1st try.

I suffer from arthritis and one day I tried to open a can with my hand held opener when the pain was too much, no dinner that night. I decided to find a battery operated one as counter space is at a premium.

When it arrived I couldn’t wait to use it then my caregiver did the first can, days later I basically set the opener on a can I needed and in seconds with a press of a button I had an open can and did not cut anything on removing the lid.

I just opened a can of tuna with my new Kitchen Mama. Did I say I easily opened the can even though I have Parkinson’s? I held it easily in my hand because it is light weight and because of its shape.

I then easily put it away in a plastic storage box under the counter. It is called teal color but it seems more lime green. Very cute!.

Love this gadget. Hands free can opener is a bit noisy for a little gadget. It works good. Cuts the bottom of the can which I dont mind at all.

It doesnt keep going to cut the whole tin open I find Im always winding the little wheel to get the lid off. Then it doesnt let the in lid go.

Yes, i bought this opener just for the kitties, but i am ordering another one for my kitchen.

I purchase this device to replace another that we got through QVC quite a while ago. Truth is that the old one performed very well, was compact and had plenty of power. After years of service the main cutting gear finally wore out.

When we got this new one I found it to be quite powerful and with only 2 AA batteries (the other required 4). Like the other, once placed on the can it freely operated until the cover was completely cut open.

The magnet is placed in the exact spot to enable ease in lifting the cut lid off the can. The thumb slide switch is automated to suffice the complete cutting of the lid, accurate turn off of the motor and the lid release.

The size is just right for a normal hand grip. Very recommendable!.

Its not very powerful. It melted the first 2 batteries we put in it!!!! It doesnt go around by itself when opening the can. Also very difficult to release the lid of the can. I almost gym my fingers taking the lid off manually.

I had recommended it to my daughter but then I changed my mind.

This can opener is made very solid and opens cans remarkably well. It is like an extra helping hand when it comes to opening any metal cans. It was a gift for my mother in law who just had a stroke and lost movement on her right side.

This opener has worked well on all the cans I’ve tried since I bought it including tiny tomato paste cans. I cannot recommend this product because of the dangerously sharp can edges it leaves. Pros: Effortless opening.

Takes just 2 AA batteries and it is easy to remove the battery cover. Cuts in only one pass every time–it is very sharp and cuts deeply just below the top rim of the can. The opener has a magnet that lifts the lid when you remove the opener.

Has a panel that snaps off so you can clean the blade–I had not found it necessary to clean the blade after a month of use. Does not make curls of metal. Cons: The blade is very sharp! It has a larger blade than most openers of its type so you should handle it by the top.

It is easy to accidentally press the button and the manufacturer recommends that you remove the batteries to clean it for that reason. I stored mine in a drawer so as not to accidentally start it. You must press the button a 2nd time to stop the opener–you hear a snap when it completes one revolution of the can.

Con for this model is that it doesn’t automatical turn off when the cycle is finished. Pros: I’ve had other “One-Touch” models that did turn off automatically but prefer this as when the battery stops working you can replace it with the tin still attached.

The amount of time I spent ripping into tins with various cutting tools and pliers, spilling juices/sauces/oils, etc. when I had my previous version led me to buy this model. I’m happy with this one but the “One Touch” name continues to mean nothing: The previous model I had would absolutely never start without several “touches” of the button, driving me nuts, and this one has to be “touched” at least twice to turn on & off.

Really like the fact that this opener cuts off the whole top with a clean, non-burred edge so that you can scrape out the whole contents of the tin without fear of cuts or damage to spatula edges. It works well, spinning it’s way around the lid automatically but does require to be stopped in order for it to release the removed lid as it shuts down.

Nice and small, goes into a kitchen drawer easily. Handles most cans easily, fits nicely into the hand and is lightweight. Works well, however turning it off once the can is open is tricky until you get used to it.

I like the feel of the rubberised unit. Battery replacement is easy, and batteries last quite a long time. In all a good product, my wife has arthritis in her hands and this has helped a lot and much better than the mains unit used previously.

It’s fiddly – You have to place on the tin very specifically and once you’ve got the knack, it’s useful. However, the 2 downsides is it cuts the tin in a way that the lid & can are left extremely sharp so you have to be careful when handling and removing the lid from the contraption.

I have needed a decent can opener for a while; My electrics wouldn’t stay attached to the can and my handhelds had sharp edges on the drive key that was causing blisters on my fingers. So when I saw that this model was on sale I jumped.

In operation you simply place the opener across the top of the can, passing the raised edge of the can’ between a drive wheel and a metal slicer. As you turn the handle the can rotates and once the tension on the handle drops to low you can remove the opener and lift off the cap!!! I liked it enough that I bought 2 as gifts.

Since I was a kid I have always hated opening cans. This is the smoothest opener i have ever used. There has been zero strain when trying to use it. It cuts the can so well that you will think it did not open it.

Best type of can opener made. Both the lid and the can edges are safe to handle, no sharp edges. Can be a bit tricky to use at first but once you get the hang of it you’ll never use another style of can opener again.

It only takes one pass around the can to split the lid seam. You’ll know when you make it full circle because it’ll get easier to turn the knob. Releasing the cutting mechanism is usually accomplished by turning the knob counter-clockwise.

If it’s still being stubborn, try rocking the knob. The lid grabber is essential for grabbing the edge of that freshly cut can lid.

I have a really hard time with our old can opener. It’s one of those old fashioned metal ones and my hands just can’t turn the crank enough to open anything. My have carpal tunnel in both hands so opening cans is challenging.

I’m very impressed with my Zyliss Lock N’ Lift Can opener. I Love that it has the magnet lid lifter. It’s one of the best features on it. The locking feature is also the best. It simply locks on and is so easy to turn, anyone could open it.

It then magnets to the lid and bang it it unlocks and it opens. It’s easy so simple and great. It really beats the old can openers. We prefer this over the electric cam openers. The easy to hold handles also make it nice, they are comfortable and easy to grab onto.

We love it and have recommended it to friends and family.

I have a Zyliss Lock’N’Lift can opener and while this LOOKS like the one I have, this is a terrible knock-off of the one I have. The one I have works. These just plain don’t work. They don’t hook on the can, they don’t cut through the metal top and they don’t open the can.

I bought 2, because they were inexpensive and I love the one I own. These ARE NOT THAT. To make matters worse, LTD will NOT refund the postage I used to buy these. After looking at the reviews, I KNOW they know they are sending junk, but still refuse to refund the whole price.

I was gifted this item to give my honest review. I currently have a manual can opener that you twist that does the safe edges on the can. I also have a battery operated one that basically opens the can for you (but is slow).

When I got this one it took me a few tries to figure out how to use it. You really can use it with one hand and there is a magnet that is convenient to help you dispose of the lid. As far as which one is faster; my hand held that twist or this one I would say tit for tat.

Okay, this little number takes a bit of getting used to. I love the idea of it and after some practice, I did get the hang of how to use it and it works as described. It is easier than the twist style especially if you have some weakness in your hands.

I will not be replacing my electric opener but will be happy to have this on hand as a back up. I can see this being a go to gadget in a house that does not use an electric opener.
