A handheld cordless vacuum for pet hair is a vacuum that is designed to be held in the hand and used to vacuum up pet hair. It is usually smaller and lighter than a traditional vacuum cleaner, making it easier to maneuver around furniture and into tight spaces.
Some handheld vacuums also come with attachments that can be used to reach hard-to-reach areas or to remove pet hair from upholstery.

I am very pleased with this cordless vacuum. I’m very impressed by it’s performance on hardwood and mid-high carpet. I love how easy it is to switch between modes and into the various functionalities the vacuum offers.
You can simply toggle between carpet and tile/hardwood mode. There is a button at the top of the vaccum right under where you turn it on it opens the canister and you can simple empty it with ease over a trash can with no messes.
I also love the ability to turn the vacuum into a longer handheld tool, which makes it easy to clean baseboards while standing upright or underneath furniture like our bed, and dressers. The suction is awesome! It cleaned my master bedroom carpet where my 2 dogs and cat sleep with ease.
This vaccum has a battery indicator light which tells you how much battery remains and how charged it is. I am always amazed at how much it picks up off my floor and I keep a pretty clean house. It gets under need beds and furniture easily with it’s slim design.
The battery charge is enough for vacuuming my entire house. I haven’t ran out of battery during vacuuming so far. I normally vacuum for about 30 mins non-stop on both modes tile floor and carpet and the vaccum still has quite a charge.
I seriously love this vacuum and it makes cleaning the floors not feel like a chore anymore. The floor gets clean in minutes and I can spend more time doing what I want. The only thing I did not like the dust holder is smaller than average.
I have to empty it a couple of times during vacuuming which is not a problem I just wish the dust holder was a tad bigger. The core strengths of this cordless stick vac could make it a good option for many people.
The vaccum comes with a charging station that it can sit on. When not in use it easily stands in my hall closet on the charging station.
This vacuum is very portable and has a lot of power to it. It does vacuum up pet hair and dust and other small objects. The attachments for the vacuum are also very nice. The stand for the vacuum is not stable on it’s own.
It requires the stand for the attachments to have stability. For some reason that I’m not sure, the two stands are separate pieces instead of together. It would have made more sense to me to connect them since the vacuum cannot stand in its stand without the other one attached.
The vacuum comes with written and picture instructions all over it to help the user know how it works. It’s quite handy. Being that the vacuum is quite portable, it also makes the reservoir quite small which is understandable.
The vacuum is marketed as a pet vacuum and to empty the reservoir, one must simply use the button to pop open the reservoir and the pet hair and dirt and dust simply falls out. I found that the pet hair needed an extra push to come out, either by pulling it out or by tapping on it.
The other caveat I had was that because the vacuum is so powerful, the air used in the suction process is pushed out of the sides of the vacuum. It make using it in tight spaces, like stairs, a no go because it pushes the dirt away from the vacuum instead of the vacuum sucking it up.
This vacuum is very nice for small spaces, such as the edges where the walls meet the floors or where a traditional sized vacuum cannot go. It is a very powerful vacuum but that power also causes a few issues.
On 3/18/2020, I bought a Shark Wand Vac Cord-Free Handheld Vacuum Model WV201CO a 10. 8V from Costco for $89. 99. I’ve used it now almost every day for picking up light dust on the floor, specks around the desk and computer, some of my roommate’s dog’s hair near the front doorway where we take off our shoes at the door, and to vacuum out my car.
The vacuum does seem to work well for these tasks; although, I noticed how the device stops working whenever there gets a slight bit of a clog or build up in the small suction part where the debris collects.
Even with full charges the device will just stop working after 3 or 4 seconds of turning it on. Therefore I have to be constantly emptying the container and find myself having to clean it out using teasers and alcohol and soap.
It would be nice if I didn’t have to clean and empty out the container constantly just so that the device stays on with a full charge. So, I decided to simply return the device today 4/11/2022 back to Costco for a full refund.
I will just go back to using my heavier and reliable vaccuum cleaner that I have had for over 10 years and works great. All that I can say to you folks that gave this product a 1-star and having the same problem as me with the charge running out or the device not working any longer.
it’s not the charge in the device, the device just needs to be emptied out constantly and you need to clean and unclog the inside part by removing the container. It’s very easy to do but it’s just more of an inconvenience having to do this all the time after using the device.

XL Dust Cup Extra-large dust cup capacity to handle big jobs.
Does an adequate job. This vacuum does not move a lot of air, but the attachment openings are small, which mostly offsets the low flow volume. As a result, this vacuum is not a good choice for weighty detritus – it just doesn’t have the suction or air speed to pick up heavier materials.
The smaller attachments cover very little surface area, so it’s not a good choice for big spills, either. It does great on pet hair & dander, cat litter, dust & other lightweight materials though. The new Pet Power Brush attachment is a definite improvement over previous revisions.
You’re not required to clean the brush after every use to released trapped hair. The Power Brush is powered by the vacuum’s internal battery, so using it will consume more battery, but I’ve yet to have an issue with the battery running out, even during extended use.
The quick release bagless design is an improvement over older models that required filter bags, though the compartment is quite small. Once again, this vaccum is not intended for large areas or large volumn jobs.
My only real complaint is the location of the power button. During normal use, that is where my index finger prefers to rest for stablization while reaching with the vacuum. I’ll turn it off 20 times during a small job.
I’m sure the power switch will wear out long before any other component, at least for me.
From the start this vacuum was a disappointment. Having a Shark upright, I thought this would be powerful. It paled in comparison to my 10 year old dyson handheld (which cost more to get a new battery than this unit).
Even after a full charge, it was okay for extremely light duty. Basically it’s only good to pickup up ground coffee and almost doesn’t do that well. The actual “breaking point” for me was the ill fitting attachments.
The most basic attachment, the “crevice” tool is too big for the weak plastic it goes into. After using that part (which is way too small a tool anyway), it cracked the plastic. The replacement part is the “dust cap” and can be purchased for $15.
95 from Shark. I bought it. and the same thing happened again. Even at the low part price, It’s almost wasn’t worth fixing this vacuum just to get it back to its disappointing performance level the first time.
Now with tax and shipping a second one would have me paying close to half the original value. Perhaps it’s time to move on.

Reviews From Real Customers
Pleasantly surprised! When I first turned this on, it was pretty quiet compared to the Shark handheld I purchased previously. My immediate thought was, “Uh oh. no power. “, but I was wrong. It’s relatively quiet (cat approved) but the suction is pretty great! It especially picked up cat hair that the Shark had apparently been missing.
The cons: *It’s heavy, so one handed after a while, gets tiresome and awkward. *The canister is clear, so you get to see all the yucky stuff you’ve vac’d up, IMO a smoky color is much better, you can see when you need to clean it without all the gory details.
*Also, I’d love it if it were a wall mount vs. it lying on the floor to charge. *The crevice tool I’m not crazy about, instead of the traditional you’d expect, it’s oval shaped and flat, making it difficult to get up close to table legs, etc.
, It works alright, just would either like a third tool or if this was more pointed so you could get in tight spaces. The Pros: *Relatively quiet, doesn’t freak the cat out! *Good suction *Comes apart easily to clean and goes back together just as easily *Nice carpet tool attachmentOverall, I’m pretty impressed with its performance.
This is the absolute best handheld vacuum I have used. You really do get 15 minutes of cleaning time from the battery. The ease of emptying, and removing the filter is the best of all competitors. I have peace of mind, that Bissell will be able to provide filters and parts.
since I can order them direct from the manufacturer. Unlike buying vacuums in big box stores, who never have the filters or parts in stock. The motorized head is what sets this handheld apart from all others.
It cleans area rugs easily, since it does not suck the entire rug from the floor. The motorized head is easy to take apart for cleaning, and is well designed. I cannot say enough good things about this handheld vacuum and I highly recommend it.
Yes! This hand vac is amazing and not only when dealing with pet fur. It has the standard attachments. But then it has one that sounds like a chainsaw and takes pet hair off better than any cordless hand vac I’ve ever used.
I use it regularly when cleaning my car. Another cool thing is that you can suck up lots of stuff because of the way the opening is. I have drink ware that, instead of shattering, it sort of pops and goes everywhere and each piece is razor sharp.
I use my Bissell to vacuum it up. This way I also know I can get those little pieces of glasses I suck it up and dump it. I love my so much I got my best friend one for her birthday. It’s more than worth the money!.
Keep your home, car and furniture clean from dirt and pet dander with the help of a Shark Wandvac Power Pet Hand Vacuum. This cordless vacuum offers powerful suction for small and large debris. Press the Boost button for extra bursts of strong suction to tackle large particles and heavy debris.
Bristle brush removes stubborn pet hair and stuck-on debris from delicate fabrics and furniture. Duster Crevice tool is ideal for tight spaces in cars, corners and crevices. Empty debris with the touch of a button.
Compact pet vacuum is ideal for taking on the go. Detachable dust cup and easily removable filter housing for maintenance. Shark pet vacuum offers up to 35 minutes of uninterrupted cleaning in ECO Mode.
Charging dock allows quick access, fast charging and on-board accessory storage.
The first thing I said when I opened my Shark WANDVAC® POWER PET Cordless Hand Vac was “omgg it’s sooo cute!” haha but really, it is! It’s sleek, yet effective. It’s small, yet powerful. My favorite thing is that is doesn’t take up much space on my counter.
It takes up about as much space as a blender would. It’s also super lightweight as well The set up was east, you just snap the bottom piece together, plug it in, and stick the vacuum and attachments into their respective slots and let it charge.
Once charged, you can attach which attachment you wish and go to town on whatever mess you want to vacuum. There are 3 modes: Normal, Eco and Boost. Eco saves battery, and boost gives you an extra boost of power to get those tough spots.
Once you are done, you can empty the compartment that catches the debris. I suggest opening over a trash can or in a bag as stuff will come flying out one you press the button and the door flings open.
This was able to get my couch super clean from my Pugs hair and picked up quite big debris (eg candy wrapper) It has a powerful suction, especially when the boost mode is applied. The brushes that are included work will to get up stubborn debris and hair.
I couldn’t be happier with my new Shark cordless wandvac!.
I bought this handheld vacuum about a month ago. Right away I loved the slinder design and the “no hold” power button. I had a Dyson handheld which was bulky, heavy, and you had to hold the power button to use it.
It also died one month after the warranty ran out (the reason we boughtthis Shark handheld. ) I have arthritis really bad in my shoulders, elbow, wrists, and fingers so the lightweight design of the Shark is fantastic.
Also, having to hold the power button on the Dyson really made my fingers and wrist hurt before I was done vacuuming the couch. The battery on the Shark lasts long enough to vacuum my whole couch (a sectional) as well as our stairs (16 total.
) I have also used it in my vehicle. It worked great getting the beach sand out of the seats (all weather material,) as well as the mats (all weather. ) The sleek design allows you to get it into smaller spaces unlike the Dyson, which was so bulky it limited its use as a handheld vacuum.
Overall I LOVE this vacuum. I was already a Shark vacuum lover and this little guy was icing on the cake.
I bought this to pick up cat hair from the sofa or elsewhere on a daily basis. The problem is, the attachment has a brush, so the cat fur just gets tangled in the brush and you have to pull it off the brush when you’re finished using it.
So, I ordered the $50 motorized upholstery attachment, but it didn’t work at all. Shark is sending me a new one. On other Shark vacs, the brush can come off the attachment to use on upholstery, but not on this one that’s made for and costs more because it’s for pets.
Although I like the attractive, sleek design and color, this vac is very easy to power on by mistake. While trying to get it out of its original packaging, I turned it on accidentally, and have done so a few more times trying to change attachments.
I like the small bin and the filter, which is washable but has to dry for 24 hours, and I needed an additional one (they are $15 each!) while one is drying, but Shark doesn’t have the filters in stock and you can’t buy them anywhere else.
So I have to wait. For $150, I expected better, but can work around the power button and the filter. If the new motorized head actually works on my sofa, I’ll be very happy with it, which I certainly should, since it’s now a $200 portable vacuum! I’ll amend this review when I get the new motorized attachment.
No plugging needed. IRIS handheld cordless vacuum cleaner is perfect solution for quick cleaning dust and debris on any surface around your home. This powerful portable hand vacuum cleaner offers two speed settings for your cleaning needs.
Keep the charging station within reach for quick vacuuming for unexpected messes. From your vehicle to the office and to the home, clean your living and work space with this convenient Lithium ion cordless hand held vacuum cleaner.
0. 1 quarts (3. 4 ounce) capacity translucent dust cup makes it easy to see the amount of dust in it at a glance when it is time to empty the cup. Included attachment heads accessories; brush/crevice tool and multi-surface tool allow you to vacuum upholstery, keyboards, desk, tight spaces and any surfaces.
Ultra lightweight design makes for convenient cleaning and comfortable grip to carry around. Replacement filters are available for purchase (Model# CF-FS2).
The IRIS Portable Vacuum cleaner is a great choice for a portable vacuum, but it heavily depends on what you’re looking for. For a dust-picker-upper, this device works absolute wonders. Being able to quickly uplift a place without plugging a single thing in is an absolute must have for me now.
I make rugs in my freetime, and one of the reasons I wanted this item was to swipe up and clean little chunks of yarn off the floor quickly while I’m working. It works in that sense, where it’s easy to clean those chunks up, but it fills up EXTREMELY fast.
Generally it’s not a problem for me, but it may be for others who don’t want to constantly go to the trash can to empty the portable vacuum. The only other problem I’ve been running into is the battery life.
In my unit, a charge only lasts about 15-20 minutes of constant use. Again, depending on your use for the vacuum, this may be what you’re looking for, but the battery life is extremely essential to me.
In all, the portable vacuum is an excellent choice depending on what you’re looking for out of it, but it just wasn’t the best choice for me.
I am a photographer and thought this vacuum would be perfect for taking on location with me and quickly cleaning up my backdrop area between kids as needed, and the area that I used before leaving. It is so light to pack up in my gear, it’s almost nothing.
I just charge it at home the night before and it has plenty of power and battery for my sessions. It picks up what I need it to pretty effortlessly and has a few useful attachments. We have also found that we actually love it at home for quick pet hair clean-up.
I have a long-haired dog that sheds terribly and I have to vacuum almost every day, my husband has started using this almost daily around his desk and it saves me from having to get the big vacuum out as often.
It’s so simple to sit on the charging dock and takes up very little space. The bin is very easy to empty. This is also excellent for touching up the car after little kids’ dirty shoes or lunch gets on the floor or in the seat.
This would have been fantastic to keep near the kid’s high chairs!.
This rechargeable hand held vacuum is fantastic. It has two power levels and 2 attachments though you don’t have to either one. I have been using it without the attachments because that way it has a wider opening for the debris.
It is plenty powerful on the lower setting. The noise isn’t too high pitched or too loud. It’s super easy to clean out and put back together. What’s really cool is on one of the attachments you have the choice of rotating the brush down and using it, so it doesn’t scratch.
This was great for dusting my floor baseboards. I didn’t have to bend over too far and with the brush it lifted the dirt off the crevice of the baseboards. It takes about 2 1/2 hours to charge it and lasts about 15 minutes.
Anytime I have crumbs on the kitchen floor I get this vacuum out of my pantry and quickly clean up the mess.

1″H x 5. 2″W x 12. 5″D Weight: 3. 8 lbs. Cord length: 6-ft. Water tank capacity:15-gallon.
I have had this vacuum for roughly three years, and at first it was fine, apart from being, in my opinion too, fiddly to empty. I’m really regretting buying it now, as in agreement with other reviewers, the run time is pathetic.
I failed to check on the run time and it is abysmal compared with my Gtech. I have that for years and it is still going strong! I bought this to keep upstairs to save lugging one up and down, and have found it to be an expensive mistake.
The rep in Currys showed me how wonderful it was and I fell for it, not knowing how short-lived its performance is. It spends most of its time plugged in to give a matter of seconds performance. Utterly useless! Don’t bother!.
First, the positive: Initially, this was a great purchase. Powerful and lasts for long enough for most jobs, and that’s still the case after 3 years. Now the negative: Since about 6 months ago, when starting use after it’s been on charge for easily sufficient time to fully charge, it cuts out within about 20 seconds, plug it in for 30 seconds, it works for 20 seconds, plug it in for 30 seconds, it works for 20 seconds, plug in again and it then usually works for some 6 minutes on full power.
This is simply a defective unit as the battery is clearly still holding the charge. Wouldn’t rush to buy a Dyson again.
We had a precious model DC34 which served us well until the motor died. We also have a V10 and a Miele plug in for the bigger jobs, and wanted to replace the hand held This gets regular light use. Despite emptying after every use and washing the filter it started pulsing.
My wife and I have just spent a quite few hours cleaning the machine. the filter was totally clogged inside and more importantly the interior, inside the shiny perforated cylindrical right up to the cyclones was full of debris /clogged.
Dyson , can you put an official video up how to clean it please. The old Hand held DC34 was a simpler and effective design and never clogged up like this one.

Lightweight design Helps you transport the vacuum from room to room and floor to floor.
I have a very large Alaskan Malamute plus a cat, and between them it seems like there’s always treat crumbs & loose hair around. I also contribute by frequently eating in the recliner or bedroom. That’s why years ago I traded the hand vac for a small upright as I needed the power.
So initially, I doubted this hand vac would cut it. I was wrong! Once I got it charged up, I was fairly impressed with the strength of this vac’s suction. It’s able to not only get all the little crumbly messes, but even some of the embedded pet hair (still need an upright to clean thoroughly, of course).
The vacuum runs on a battery that is interchangeable in other Hoover cleaning products. Its big and on the heavy side. It takes awhile to charge–the manual says 3 hours. The vacuum stays charged through several brief cleaning sessions.
While the thought of running multiple devices off a single charged battery seems convenient, it also means that if the battery goes, you cant use ANY of your products until the battery is replaced. And they’re not cheap–$100+.
The vacuum is easy to empty and keep clean. However, there is a tiny area at the opening that has collected debris that seems inaccessible. It bugs me so I’ll look further for information on how to access that little area.
Overall a very good hand vacuum although I have some issues with the battery. I would actually rate 4. 5 if that was an option.
The Hoover ONEPWR Cordless Hand Vacuum is used daily in my household. With 2 small kids and 2 dogs, you can imagine how much cleaning I have to do. This hand vac makes my life a little easier. I don’t have to bring out my heavy upright vacuum and struggle bringing it up the stairs.
This product is cordless and has powerful suction. It picks up everything from dirt to dog hair. I no longer have to struggle to vacuum pet hair. The suction picks up the pet hair in one shot. The included crevice tool is perfect for hard to reach areas, like under sofa cushions and corners of rooms.
I also use this vac in my car and the best part is not having to plug it into my cigarette lighter. I have free control to vacuum without a cord holding me back. The dirt cup is fairly large and eliminates the need to stop and empty after each use.
Removing the dirt cup and reattaching it is very simple with a few clicks. I’m really impressed with the ONEPWR battery. It takes a few hours to fully charge, but once charged, it does last a long time.
Once placed into the charger, the battery lights up to show the status of charging which is very convenient. Although the charging station is great, I wish there was a way to mount it to the wall. Overall, this is the best hand vacuum that I’ve ever used.
It’s lightweight, powerful and saves you time. I definitely recommend it!.

Extraordinary power for the everyday mess: the lightweight Shark WANDVAC Cord-Free Handheld Vacuum packs suction power to take on any mess with quick maneuverability and pure Shark performance.
At least, unboxing and setup were easy but there’s nothing to hang it on the wall. To start with, the grip is supremely uncomfortable. The diameter of the vacuum “stick” carries all the way up to the handle, so it’s like gripping an oversized tube.
Imagine if 2-3 normal-sized broom handles were taped together, and you start to get the idea of how fat the handle is. It hurt my hands (I had to switch hands constantly), and I have the usual man-hands of a 6’3″ guy.
Because it’s such a big grip, maneuvering the vacuum was pretty much nonexistent. Actually using the device didn’t make things better. It’s a short stick vac, which means it doesn’t reach very far under furniture.
Then, there are these weird plastic brackets attached to the tube that I’m assuming are storage for various attachments, and those get further in the way of reaching under couches, cabinets, and other pieces of furniture that are elevated.
After attempting to vacuum under one or two in my living room, I gave up on getting underneath anything else. It didn’t matter, as I learned, as the swivel action of the suction head acts like it’s been in a rear-end collision and is now wearing a neck brace.
Side-suction, you know, running it alongside a baseboard, or around cabinet bases in the kitchen, is nonexistent. After going back and forth, I had to sweep the debris out to the middle of the room so that it was captured.
Vacuuming on thick rugs caused it to make a plaintive sound, as if it were a sentient being, coming to terms with the mistakes in its life that has led it to this act of penitence. No confidence here that actual deep suction occurred, only the awareness of the change in sound (relief?) as it returned to perfectly flat hardwood flooring.
Vacuuming on low rugs, but rugs with grooves in them, also doesn’t give me the confidence that they are clean, but at least the device doesn’t sound as if it’s being separated from its soul. Overall, the combination of all the the above (fat grip, too short tube, and being un-swivel-ized, et cetera, et cetera), makes the act of vacuuming much harder than it needs to be.
Returning the device to the home base creates a lot of noise. I know that vacuum numero dos (number 2) is now firing up to suck the debris out of vacuum number 1, but it’s loud, and in my opinion, unnecessary.
There is a manual dump option, but at that point, I was over the “features” this unit claims to possess. Besides, every time the power even fluctuates, the base thinks it has to restart, so there’s a random loud sound of a vacuum until the reboot is finished.
There is a ‘mute’ button that stops the automatic suck into the base of the contents of the mobile suck-stick, but that defeats the purpose of the automatic unloading function. Lining up the slits and slots so that the vacuum correctly seats into the base for content-emptying and recharging also presents problems since the tabs and whatnot are flimsy.
Overall, this is not my favorite, and I would not recommend it.
Every pet owner knows that little messes are inevitable, whether it’s hair on the sofa, food by the bowl, or litter outside the litter box. BISSELL Pet Hair Eraser vacuum makes it easy to take care of the miscellaneous messes when they happen.
This lightweight and convenient hand vacuum has a battery, so it holds a larger charge for longer, meaning it’s ready for use when you need it. It uses triple level filtration to help improve the cleaning performance of your vacuum.
Plus it has tools and features that make it perfect for pet owners.
I ordered this vacuum for myself 3 years ago and recently purchased another for a house warming gift. I use this pretty much for every cleaning job. Clean up kitchen, my bathrooms, car, hard to reach surfaces in my house and garage.
It has had its fare share of rough handling but my goodness. it had never disappointed me. The battery still charges up pretty good with decent amount of backup. The overall quality is pretty rugged but still its portable enough to be used by anyone.
Since we use it much every day, it stay on continuous charging – discharging cycle. I feel like it has already paid its worth. This is one of those items that you don’t realize how much you need it until you buy it.
I have another Bissel vacuum cleaner as well and overall I am happy with the quality they put into their products. I hope this review helps you in your purchase decision.
The versatile 20V MAX dustbuster AdvancedClean+ Cordless Pet Hand Vacuum cleans hard and reaches areas with less effort. Eliminate dirt that’s out of reach, but not out of sight. Extend your reach with our longest built-in crevice tool.
This hand vacuum has 4X more powerful suction than the HNVC115 4V base model and Powerboost with the touch of a button to tackle any mess. Anti-tangle rubber bristles powered to lift stubborn pet hair.
It is equipped with an XL 750 mL dust bin and has up to 145% more runtime than the HNVC115 4V base model. It also has a battery indicator to keep you moving. Keep your hands clean with the ONE-TOUCH easy empty dust bin.
Go The Extra Length with the 20V dustbuster AdvancedClean+ Cordless Pet Hand Vacuum.
Decent vacuum overall. I bought the one with the pet attachment and unfortunately the attachment already broke. Needless to say it will be returned. The battery life is pretty weak. It’s definitely not as good as I was expecting.
The filter seems to get quite full. I suppose that’s not a bad thing but it looks cheaply made. They actually recommend you replace every few months or depending on how much you use it. If the pet attachment didn’t break I would hang onto this but I have not even had it 2 weeks and it’s already falling apart.
I thought the pet attachment worked good before it broke and the extended nose was nice for tight places and easier on the back.
This dustbuster is tremendous. The suction is very, very good on bare floors. It is very, very good on area rugs. The high and low speed settings make the difference in picking up dust, dirt, and in my case, pet hair.
It is extremely easy to use and the telescoping nozzle makes all the difference in reaching higher spots and in not having to bend over so far. The advertising on getting into tight areas is spot on.
I’ve tried it in many corners, and even in that very tight spot on the side of my doors where the trim leaves only a quarter inch of space for nothing but dust. Sucked it right out, no problem. I highly recommend, it does everything it says.
It is a bit loud (especially at the higher speed), but that may be more true for me because I have all hardwood floors and no carpeting. I have not tried it in my car yet, but I have no doubt based on what I’ve seen in my home, that it would handle the car without any issue, including the tight areas around the middle console and the seat.
I’ve also cleaned the filters. Easy in and out, very little mess, and they dry quickly. Do be sure that they are completely dry before you use your unit again. That is a must. One thing I did notice about the filters is that every time I’ve emptied the unit, the filters have come out in the trash also.
This may be on me because I do shake to get the dust out, but I did want to mention it. No real problem, since they pop right back in, but you do end up having to touch them in all their dusty glory.
Lastly, it can be left on the charger/plugged up indefinitely (in the enclosed instructions). That’s a plus in case you forget and leave it on – you won’t harm the unit.
I LOVE THIS HANDHELD! It’s amazing! I use it for just about everything, but mostly got it for my bathroom which is where my kitties littler box is. I vacuum up the scattered litter a few times a day and the pet brush really does make a difference.
I bought this model originally without the pet brush attachment and loved the original vacuum. But after looking everywhere to buy the pet brush separately I broke down and just bought one of the models that came with the electric brush attachment.
It’s a $40 difference and I’m not sure if the attachment is worth that extra amount but I love it. I might even keep the other model as a back up because the charging cord and everything is the same.
Sits upright and is easy to empty and clean, and has tons of power! The battery life isn’t long but I just re attach it to the charger after each use. I definitely recommend this! Although I wish they sold the attachment separately on their website or amazon for that matter.

With the crevice tool, you can clean hard-to-reach places. The advanced lithium-ion battery provides long runtime, short charge time, and long battery life.
I bought the Cordless Pet Perfect XL Lithium Handheld as a gift for Christmas. The item shipped almost immediately and arrived in just a few days. My girlfriend was super excited about it and couldn’t wait to use it on the furniture.
Due to other reviews that I read, we unboxed the vac and let charge overnight. When she first powered it on, the motor sounded as if it was grinding. She attached the motorized brush and started cleaning the sofa and recliners.
The brush squalled so loud that our 3 cats and 6 month old puppy ran for their lives! Thinking maybe this was the nature of the vac she continued to use it. After about 15 min she said she was getting shocked while using it.
I visually inspected it and didn’t see any issues but when I tried it, it did in fact give me a slight shock. It did pick up everything she vacuumed, but that NOISE! We charged it again overnight and the next day she tried to vacuum the 12 steps leading upstairs and after 5 steps it died and needed charged again.
I am a huge fan of the Shark products. Within our family we own 3 of the NV800W uprights and they have to be the best vacs we have ever owned. This handheld, sadly, is a complete piece of junk and I will be sending it back asap.
I want to qualify this review by saying I’ve had a Shark Rotator Professional Lift-Away Bagless Vacuum for about 5 years and still love it. I purchased this product solely to try and quickly keep up with my Labrador’s shedding on the stairs and couch throughout the week.
I was skeptical based on the reviews related to battery life, but thought I would give it a shot because I had such good luck with my regular vacuum. I read and followed all of the instructions related to charging this product prior to using it the first time.
Even so, I barely got my half of my couch (which I had already vacuumed with my regular vacuum the day before) done before the battery on this product ran out. I didn’t expect it to last incredibly long, but I did expect the battery to last long enough to be able to clean my couch and stairs without needing to recharge the vacuum.
Additionally, the suction was not powerful enough to pull hair from the linen fabric of my couch the way the pet hair attachment does with my regular vacuum. This required me to vacuum over the same spaces multiple times (negating the quick clean I was intending).
I’m heading off to return it now, and replace it with the Shark Rocket Handheld that is powered with a cord. That product maybe $30 more expensive than this, but this product is definitely not worth the $50 I paid for it.
This product may be ideal for someone with a small pet, a pet that really does not shed, or someone who only wants to clean for about 15 minutes at a time (it does take a full 6 hours to recharge).
The good people at Shark have done it again! This Shark Cordless Pet Perfect Lithium Hand Vac, LV900 is absolutely wonderful! I was able thru Walmart Spark Review to choose this Shark Cordless Pet Perfect Lithium Hand Vac and it was an extremely good choice! We are so pleased with this hand vac! Though not a “car vac” per say, it works great in our vehicles.
The motorized brush is strong and does fast work on the grit in our floor boards. The clever crevice tool is compact and just right for under and between seat vacuuming. Being cordless is a plus that means no extension cords and ease of transportation to wherever a quick, powerful vacuum is needed.
The built in chargeable lithium battery not only means no cords to deal with, but also convenient on demand power at a moments notice. The Shark Pet Perfect is also great in the home. We have always had at least one pet (dog or cat) sometimes two, and anyone with pets knows that accidents happen.
Add to that the carrying in of trash, and general pet hair accumulations on floors, carpet, furniture and virtually everywhere! Having a superior hand held, cordless, powerful and compact tool like the Shark Cordless Pet Perfect Lithium Hand Vac, LV900 makes a smart, useful addition to any family! It comes assembled, has a sleek modern design.
It is compact, well built and has powerful suction with a strong motorized brush. It is easy to use, easy to change the attachments and has a washable lint tray with no bags needed! Thank you Shark for your quality products that make todays hectic life a little easier! I would recommend this Shark Cordless Pet Perfect Lithium Hand Vac, LV900 to everyone! Especially pet owners!!.

If you are looking for a upright don’t settle for less than Bissell 2790, especially if you have pets and have to clean frequently. I made a terrible mistake in the past buying a cheap vacuum but at least I learned that I would never purchase another vacuum which does not have a rewinding cord and does not turn off brush rotation.
Bissell 2790 was a cheapest vacuum that had a brush disengaging mechanism which is very important for using hand attachments. I couldn’t dream about this vacuum having also a swivel steering but it proved to be a swivel-rewind vac! It’s even has a dedicated brush on/off switch in addition to the brush roll automatically shutting OFF when vacuum is locked in upright position.
But this is not all – you don’t need to bend to adjust brush position each time when moving from hard floor to carpet as it’s done autumatically. There are even 2 led lights to make vacuuming easier in dark areas.
The vacuum came very fast directly from Bissell which sells it through Walmart for less than on Amazon. Plastic seems of good quality. Assembly doesn’t require any tools. The vacuum is not light, more like of average or below average weight because it has a powerful motor to suck through a HEPA filter.
Despite of the weight it was so easy to navigate around because of the swivel steering. This is the best vacuum I ever had.
Pet owners know little messes are inevitable. It doesnt matter if its hair on the couch, food spilling out of the bowl or litter tracked outside of the litter box the BISSELL Pet Hair Eraser Lithium-Ion Handheld vacuums it all up.
Its lightweight, convenient and built with a 14. 4V lithium-ion battery that holds a charge for longer, so its ready to go to work as a hand vacuum when you need it. Triple Level Filtration helps improve this hand vacs cleaning performance.
It also has a large, easy-to-empty dirt tank thats easy to clean between uses. The Pet Hair Eraser Handheld Vacuum comes with specialized tools, too, making it perfect for pet parents. The Motorized Brush Tool, Upholstery Tool and Crevice Tool can clean up after your pet in almost every area of your home.
Please pay with STRIPE. Our prefered payment provider. The BLACKDECKER BDH2020FL 20V max lithium Flex vac with pet hair brush features lithium technology for strong suction and fade free power. Packed with strong suction and fade free power.
It also includes a pet hair brush to remove stubborn pet hair. It has a flexible 4 foot hose to reaches dirt high and low and this cordless, portable and ultra compact vac allows you to tackle your chores without lugging out your full size vacuum.
A high performance motor delivers strong suction for messes big and small and the quick charging base keeps Flex vac charged and accessories organized. Cyclonic action spins dirt away from the filter to help maintain performance and a 3 stage filtration system prevents dust and debris from escaping.
It also has an easy to empty, washable bowl and filter for thorough cleaning. Includes: Flex vac, pet hair brush, 2 in 1 nozzle/brush tool, long crevice tool, charging base, washable filter (model PVF110).
This super portable rechargeable vacuum is my go to picker upper for 95% of all my cleaning jobs. Hell, I used it once to retrieve coins stuck deep within the sofa frame. It sucked’em right up then I opened up the catch chamber and plopped out a little over $2 in change.
Excels at precision vacuuming but we also use the long attachment to clean hallways and bathrooms. Great for baseboards and corners. Recharges crazy fast and seems to run forever. Pulls about 90% of the dust off of figurines, books, fan blades and unused surfaces so the when we have actually wipe them down there is little left for the cloth to pick up.
Gets into the tightest places. Easy to empty and easy to disassemble in order clean to clean it.
Great suction power! Pet hair tool is phenomenal because you don’t have to pull hair out of bristles. It’s even good at pulling hair out of the knit and fibers. No need to spend a fortune on lint rollers bristle-less tools or countless hours removing pet hair and lint.
My only nitpicks is having only 10-15 minutes to do what you got to do and how slightly awkward the unit can be despite it’s ultra-light weight. The hose length occasionionally makes it hard when a job requires 2 hands.
It’s not long enough to set it down while you stand or to hang it up while you work close to the ground. The hose is too short because its length conforms to its rounded “holster” atop the vac unit. Ideally a strap could free up your carrying hand to throw it over a shoulder or hang it wile you vac blinds or curtains.
It takes about an hour to charge but you only get a fraction of that time to use it. But it works really well while charged. The ability to switch from corded to cordless usage would make this vac a dream come true!.
I charged the Vac 4 hours out of the box per instructions. Attached floor pipe and wide floor broom and did the entire house, de-crumbed the kitchen counters, stove, table, dusted some furniture. Then went to the garage and vac’d front and back of my wife’s Toyota Avalon.
All this in ONE Charge and it was still running strong. I emptied the dust & dirt tank which was full. I’m extremely impressed with little jewel. Two-three years ago I bought the 18 volt Black & Decker Floor Vac with a beater bar and used it two the three times a week.
But it only has a short run time and takes 18+ hours to recharge. I’ve owned 5 and currently own 2 other vacuum cleaners that cost over $1000. 00 each when purchased from the door to door salesmen. I rarely use them except for a deep clean once a month due to weight, cords, & attachment removal & installation complexity.
My wife will only use the light battery upright when she has the time. Basically I do all the vacuuming. Therefore I really love this new light weight vacuum! Due to time constraints of the old 18 volt model I’m learn to move really fast before the battery ran out.
Now I can chill out a little as vacuum. Just one suggested improvement, maybe if Black & Decker could add some shoulder strap clips to vac so I could watch movies on my phone with one hand and vac with the other.
Even though the vac is light a neck/shoulder strap would free up one hand for dusting night stands with pictures and whatnots. I’m thinking about ordering replacement Lithium batteries to install and modify my old 18 volt floor vac.
Because these new 20 volt Lithium batteries are unbelievably strong and quicker to recharge. The old 18 volt Black & Decker floor vac has a beater bar which is better for carpet and scattered rugs. The vortex dust bin is see through which hopefully will catch the eye of my wife and alert her to empty the dust bin.
As with all vac’s if the dust bin or bag in packed full of dirt the suction will decrease. My wife and daughter in-laws can’t seem to understand this simple law of physical science. Instead they go buy another vacuum cleaner when the old vacuum cleaner fills up with dirt.
They just wonder why the vac quit sucking up dirt. Instead of changing the bag or emptying the dust bin they just toss the vac out by the curve with the garbage and buy a new one. Here’s a recent example of this fact.
This Christmas I flew to my sons and tried to vacuum with a $800. 00 demo slightly used vacuum I gave them a few years ago. They have three little crumb spreaders & a dog who eats sitting side ways at or under the table and in front of the living room TV.
One can only imagine the piles of cookie & pop corn crumbles strewn all over their 2 story house with dark brown hardwood floors. The dog with it’s short legs and long fur acted as a dust mop which only move dirt from room to room and hall ways.
Every 12 hours the floors where depressingly covered in fur balls, craft bits of paper, ripped dog chew toy stuffing and food crumbs. So I got their vacuum out of the laundry room and unrolled the cord and began to vacuum.
The poor machine was barely breathing because the bag was completely full. My daughter in-law later complained that the vacuum was “horrible and it didn’t suck at all. ” I told her it was “just a full bag issue.
” Then she said, “I recently change the bag, but had cleaned a lot prior to your arrival. ” I’ll just keep my thoughts to myself about how dirty the floors must have been to fill that large bag past the full mark on the large dust bag.
Really as a working mom with three small children, a dog, and a foraging husband, she’s doing her best to just survive house work. I guess what I’m trying to say is the clear dust bin on the Black & Decker Vac is helpful to those who are to busy to pay attention to the needs of their tools.
Hopefully they won’t ignore the swirling dirt inside their tool and a light will flash through their brain and they will empty it after every use. Really I needed to purchase another 20 volt Black & Decker Vacuum with the attachments and extension pipe.
Then send it to my daughter-in-law to make her life easier. Thanks Black & Decker for getting it right and building a Vacuum Cleaner that makes my life easier. Really your tool is a life saver. It was my Christmas present to myself.
I have a lathe in my cellar and wanted something for cleaning up dust and turnings without having to carry the big vacuum cleaner up and down the stairs. The extending nozzle is particularly useful for reaching into awkward places.
I almost always use it on the higher power setting, with a small paint brush to move the dust out of the crevices. It is very easy to empty, much easier than a battery Dyson. I would recommend it for the home workshop.

This dust buster is awesome! If you’re looking for help with keeping up with keeping pet hair off of the furniture – this is it! I was looking for a dust buster because I have a German Shepherd dog who sheds a lot.
I bought this to be able to keep his bed area clean, my bed area clean, and the couch in the living room clean from pet hair. You will pay a little more for the pet hair tool but getting rid of pet hair was my main reason for buying it, so, after doing some comparison shopping with Shark and Bissell, I decided on the Black & Decker brand.
This met my expectations and more! It was much more powerful than I thought it would be and definitely not your dust buster of old. The pet hair attachment tool made all the difference in picking up the hair.
Easy to use, easy to empty, and lightweight. Be sure to empty the filter out also, it just slides apart, and I use a little canned air (like what you would use to clean a keyboard off) on the filter too; this will help prolong the life of your filter.
It also comes with a wall mount, but I can’t comment on that because I haven’t figured out where I want to put it permanently yet.
I have a very large golden retriever, so I was anxious to try this pet hand vacuum through the Walmart Spark Reviewer program. This replaces an old B+D Dustbuster that didn’t have very good suction. This comes with a small base that we mounted on the wall with 2 screws.
It is a cordless unit, however it needs to be plugged in, in order to charge. There are basically 2 ways to use this vacuum – the first is like a traditional hand vacuum and the second is with a detachable, motorized “pet head” with rubber tines that helps get pet hair up.
I noticed some hair gets wrapped up in the tines, but it is easy to pull out/remove. It is very powerful and much more efficient than the hand vacuum that it replaces. There are however some key design flaws, which is why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5.
We discovered after we mounted it on the wall that the power plug connects to the unit itself, not the base. That means every time you use it, you need to unplug it from the power source, then you need to plug it back in for charging after use.
When you use it, you can really feel a very strong wind tunnel shooting out of both sides of it. This is annoying when you are vacuuming in tight quarters, like a vehicle. It literally blows right in your face.
I don’t notice it as much if I’m just vacuuming the floor, or a rug. Another issue I’m finding is that when I empty the chamber after use, the air filter always falls out in the trash. You have to be very careful in order for this not to happen.
Overall I am happy with how strong of a suction it has and how much hair it actually picks up, but I think it needs some improvements to be 5 star worthy.
The Shark UltraCyclone Pet Pro cordless handheld is designed for powerful suction and long-lasting motor life. It includes a Pet Power Brush with motorized bristles to eliminate pet hair, a lithium-ion battery, and more, at only 2.
I just bought my handheld Shark Ultra cyclone CH950 yesterday. I charged it because I did just get it so it needed to be charged. It took like 4 hours for the 1st charge before 1st use. Today, I used it for the 1st time.
I was able to get a full bedroom and half of the hallway and half of another bedroom done before the battery died. This has great suction and so very easy to use. You can also clean the dirt cup and filters which makes it so much better.
Its a nice looking machine and compact and great suction. Overall, I give this vacuum 4 out of 5 stars because I like it a lot. I like everything but the fact that the battery dies way too fast. My cheaper handheld Shark vacuum battery lasted longer than this one.
Everything is great with this. I just wish battery lasted longer especially having to charge for 4-6 hours before next use. Great appearance and great machine. If you’re looking for a handheld vacuum that the battery will allow you to clean 3 or more rooms or even 1 large room.
I don’t typically write reviews but I must tell you this is an outstanding product. I no longer have pet fur on my furniture. In 10 minutes I can clean 3 sofas and a recliner with the Shark Ultra Cyclone.
I purchased one for myself and one for my daughter. I recommend it to a friend who loves it. First time in years I can sit on any piece of furniture, no more furniture covers. It is also great for cleaning my bedspread of pet fur.

Having three Shark appliances at present, this is the product that I would love to have. Being disabled with a major spinal cord injury, it would make life a little easier for me, in carrying out those small annoying jobs which do not call for the whole machine! We presently have 4 makes of vacuums in this household! We have Mr K from America, the well known and overpriced Mr D from the UK, who changes models as often as a certain electronics company changes its toys and has idiots queuing out in the street all night to ensure that they are the first of their group of friends to have this companies latest offering! Both Mr K & Mr D are good with, in my opinion, Mr K being the best of both by a country marathon.
I asked a friend who is a Professor in Engineering to take both away, check these out report back to me what he thought of both. He actually talked a colleague into doing this unbeknownst to me. When he came back with his report, he advised that Mr D would need two 100 gallon drums attached to it, to come anywhere near my almost 50 years old Mr K! Pretty significant difference between a very old vacuum, which is still in perfect working order.
The only repairs needed to this has been one set of electrical brushes in motor and re-cabling. Meanwhile its competitor has continued through time to lose power (suction hasn’t remained consistent throughout the time we have owned this, despite following all the rules in the owner’s manual.
Filters have been a consistent pain in the proverbial!) We also have Mr S, a German interloper who has proven to be excellent, the only drawback being the back to bags! I’m saying that, we have been pretty impressed to the extent that we bought the companies carpet cleaner which was well worth the money.
The difference and the freshness it brought to the carpets in our home was outstanding. Neither of the other 2 have brought out a simple carpet cleaner. Okay Mr K has a carpet cleaner which takes a little while to set up at first, but does a good job.
Mr S has a separate machine which works the company’s carpet cleaner, which is like small sponges. You leave these on your pres-dampened carpets as long as is possible, we normally leave them overnight, vacuuming the carpets which are left very clean, the following morning prior to breakfast.
We have had friend’s borrow out machine and they were so impressed, that they bought the company! No they didn’t go that far, they bought their own machine which their son borrows frequently as he has a toddler and a dog to contend with.
He has also bought the machine now. Hey Mr S, am I not about due some commission from your organisation? One evening we were watching tv at home and as you do, started channel surfing when this new impudent kid on the block made an appearance.
Well from the display on television of a particular model, which came with a free steam mop, something which we meant to buy, as we have two dogs in the house, actually 3 at one stage, and we both looked at each other and my husband said that here was the chance to try these Shark appliances at no cost to ourselves, due to the try it and if you didn’t like the products, send only the vacuum cleaner back as the steam mop was a gift and was ours to keep.
What can one say? Lightweight, very easy to manoeuvre, very important for me. The only drawback we felt that the dust collecting bins were a tad on the small side, although this the a minor complaint in the great scale of things! If only The Boffins at Shark could look at developing a carpet cleaner, all would be right with our insular world! If you want to try and create one, I would be more than happy to try this out for you I’ll now give my list of favourites, commencing with my most favourite down to my least, the one I definitely would not recommend, along with my reason why: #1 The Shark.
Why? Incredibly light and very quiet. Excellent suction which doesn’t drop off as the cylinder fills! #2 Mr K. Why? Excellent suction power and the machine is so well made that it lasts for year’s. Drawbacks? The sheer muscle power required to manoeuvre the thing due to the suction power this beast provides! #3 Mr S Why? German built so will last.
Good suction power, and one range comes in funky colours and patterns, giving a bit of light-heartedness. Drawbacks. It means going back to vacuum cleaner bags, but it retains suction power. #4 Mr D.
Why. Environmentally friendly, as uses recycled plastic in its build. Drawbacks. Engineers called out frequently. Need to change filters frequently to help retain suction. Loses suction power over time.
Changes models far too frequently that customers feel the need to purchase the new, improved modei.
This is just a dream for me. Had a bulkier hand vac with poor suction before (different brand) and cannot believe how sleek yet powerful this is! Love the way the dust compartment empties with the touch of a button.
Fab for doing stairs, especially if you buy the scrubbing brush attachment (£15 I think?). Looks very neat when stored. The charge lasts long enough for stairs and I just leave it on charge permanently so always ready for any small job.
Will definitely buy again. Simply cannot recommend it highly enough. Don’t think twice it will change your life!!! Best Christmas present I’ve ever had (as an adult lol!) :o).
Looking for a new hand vac to replace current one, there are many choices on the market, with varying reviews. We decided to purchase the Shark and have not been disappointed, the purchasing process was easy and delivery swift.
The vacuum arrived well packaged and the instructions are straightforward. It is a well designed and engineered product with great performance, it has strong suction and is simple to use and comes with essential accessories, additional ones are available to purchase too.
So far we are still in the process of running the battery down following the initial charge, its taking forever!.
After testing out several handheld cordless vacuums designed specifically for pet hair, we’ve come to the conclusion that the Dyson V7 Animal is the best option out there. It’s powerful enough to suction up all the hair your pet can shed, yet gentle enough to not damage delicate surfaces.
Plus, it comes with a host of attachments to make cleaning up after your pet a breeze.
