20 Best Hamilton Beach Toaster Oven (2023 Updated)

Don’t be swayed by the other reviews. Most of them call this a second oven, which is not what I was looking for when I purchased this toaster. My primary oven works just fine. I did not need a second one.

I needed a toaster. And this thing has turned my waffles into burnt crisps. My previous toasters had a timer that made a pleasing ding sound when my food was toasted, but this toaster doesn’t unless it goes over 10 minutes.

I don’t need to toast my waffles for 10 minutes. This product is useful if you don’t have an oven or need a second one. But if you’re looking for a classic toaster oven that you can just set and walk away from, this is not it.

For about 5 months this toaster oven was perfect for me. Compact size and worked well, but then it just stopped heating up. It would get a little warm and then just stop. It didn’t even stay hot long enough to make toast.

I just reached out to the Hamilton Beach Customer Service so we will see what happens.

This is a small toaster oven. Has all the features my older bigger one had except the door doesnt stay open partially which I miss and one thing all toaster oven seem to have what I wish it did was a stopper for the tray when you pull it out.

Like a regular oven. Always have to be careful not to pull it all the way out. Others its perfect for 2 people.

I thought I would love this Hamilton Beach 6 slice SureCrisp Oven … and I came close. I like it a lot. Everything I have cooked in it has turned out good, especially seasoned braised potatoes. I have used it as both an air fryer and a toaster oven.

Both worked well. It broils meats to perfection and air fried chicken very well. I overcooked the chicken and it was still good. I have never had an air fryer or toaster oven before so there was a learning curve.

The instructions could have been more thorough, but I figured it out. The Hamilton Beach website has some great recipes and information. The 6 slice SureCrisp Oven I have is the large unit with the Easy Reach Door.

It is big enough to cook a whole chicken. The dimensions are 21. 3 wide by 15. 96 deep and it is almost 12 inches tall. This takes up a lot of counter space. Although the oven is on legs, it produces much more heat than expected.

I assumed using this air fryer/toaster oven would be cooler in my small apartment than using my full size oven. That is not the case. This appliance pumps out a lot of heat, so be very careful where and how you use it.

It also makes my small apartment smell unpleasantly greasy when used for any length of time. That is something I do not like at all. The Hamilton Beach 6 slice oven is a nice looking unit. The one I have is supposed to be Stainless Steel, but it is mostly gray.

The glass in the door is a nice feature. It is easy to see in and flips up for easy cleaning. Unfortunately, the remainder of the inside of the oven is very hard to clean. The food spatters bake on and will not come off with the recommended “damp, soapy cloth” or “plastic scouring pad.

” I was not able to get all the burned on grease cleaned out after I air fried the chicken. I actually scrubbed some of the paint off the side where the oven rack slides in. This air fryer/toaster oven comes with an oven rack, frying basket, baking/broiling/drip pan, and a removable crumb tray.

I read enough in advance to know a removable crumb tray is an important feature. All of these parts clean up easily. With a little soaking, the oven rack and the frying basket just sparkle – very important because you cook directly on them.

All in all the, Hamilton Beach 6 slice SureCrisp Oven is a good unit and I will happily continue using it in place of my full size oven for most of the foods I cook (except chicken).

This is a great toaster oven! It toasts beautifully and cooks wonderfully. It is pretty large and can hold quite a bit. I love the way the door opens up. I do wish it came with an extra rack so I could have two things cooking at once on different levels.

I have also not mastered the air fry function yet. It doesn’t seem to crisp things like I would expect. I’ve had better luck with the convection and toast getting my food crispy than the air fry. Regardless, it works really well and has made me some delicious food! It heats up quickly and is much more convenient to use than my full size oven.

It’s great for heating up leftovers too when I want a fresh baked taste again. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone looking for a good sized toaster oven.

We got this just before beginning a kitchen renovation and this took over the role as oven and toaster full time. I could not be happier! Whether it was toasting a bagel, cooking fries or onion rings, or air frying chicken, this oven did it all amazingly.

The air fry basket holds a lot (just line the under tray with aluminum foil beforehand to help with cleanup). The controls are easy to use and there is a switch to toggle between regular baking and air fry/convection.

I can’t say enough good things about this appliance and it will definitely be finding a home in our new kitchen.

Very disappointed! My husband bought me this for Christmas, and I was so excited to have an air fryer. Little did I know that it’s just a toaster oven. , Yes when you have it on air fryer the little fan does come on, however it does not cook very fast at all.

The manufacturer should be ashamed of their self. You can get a toaster oven a whole lot cheaper if that is what you’re looking for, but if you were looking for an air fryer, save your money. I will be getting rid of this purchasing a real Air fryer.

This SureCrisp Air Fry Oven is just perfect for my husband and I. It is just the right size! It’s best suited for an individual, or a family of 2. We found the instructions, not to be as clear & concise as they should be, especially for setting up the air fryer.

Once we figured it out, and made the proper adjustments, it seemed to work fine, and the fryer is super quiet. The toaster function failed in toasting both side of the bread evenly. Also, the second symbol for doneness was very dark.

On the next pieces, I moved the indicator to between the first and second symbol, and the bread was perfect on the one side, and lighter on the other. Overall, we are happy with our new addition.

Lovely toaster oven. Did some research for what I like and wanted. Found it in this toaster oven and I love the roll top door. I’m in a small condo with limited counter space so the roll top door is nice as it doesn’t impede my counter space.

I can also see and read the info around the knobs unlike my old much smaller white one. The numbers and writing around knobs of my old one were off with cleaning. This one takes a few extra minutes to heat up but once it does it works great.

Personally for what I wanted it for it more than meets my needs. I just got sick of regular toasters and the guys breaking and damaging toasters by forcing the lever up when they want it to stop plus dropping stuff in and around the coils and me being left to clean it.

That’s the reason I got a toaster oven to begin with. Once I realized all the things I could do with a toaster oven I really wore out the small cheap one I had as well as the drop down open front door got out of whack during cleaning.

I was about to purchase a counter-top convection oven for maybe five times the cost of this one from another manufacturer when a colleague told me to give the Hamilton Beach brand a try to see if it would’t do everything I wanted at a fraction of the cost.

Well, I am so glad that I took his advice because the Hamilton Beach® 6-Slice Easy Reach Convection Oven has met all my expectations! Sure, it’s not as fancy as the ones with all the digital controls but that wasn’t my main criteria when I was looking for a good and reliable convection oven.

I just thought a more expensive unit from a ‘high end’ manufacturer would be a wiser investment. However, when I thought about what I was really going to use the unit for – frozen pizza, toast, reheating food, and broil chicken – it made sense! Frankly, I wasn’t ever going to make whole rotisserie chicken or bake a whole lot of anything so it didn’t really make sense for me to pay so much more for what I wanted to do.

Well, I love making toast in this oven! As soon as I tasted how much better this oven toasted my bread, I donated my old toaster the next day. I usually toast only four slices but I’m sure six could fit perfectly.

I love how light and crunchy my toasts come out after maybe 4-5 minutes. I also love broiling chicken and, of course, cooking pizzas in it without heating up the whole house, especially when the A/C is on! It can accomodate 6-8 chicken thighs and a 12″ pizza quite easily.

For the most part, this unit does bake food evenly with little or no “cool” spots, unlike my parents’ Oster unit which would leave some sections of the pizza uncooked even when the convection fan was running! I have not noticed this with my HB oven.

Two things I wish they could have done better: 1) Redesign how the rack slides in an out of the oven. There is no catch like a real gas oven so the rack can and does slide out too far and too fast on occasions.

If there was a catch to prevent the rack from coming out too far I think I would be completely satisfied 2) make the catch tray under the rack more secure and a little bigger so that it catches more drippings and not leave too much gaps on the sides and wobble around too much.

Other than that, I’m pretty satisfied with this oven and I really like the Easy Reach design. It’s easy to clean, feels sturdy, and cooks everything really well so I would definitely recommend it. I give it 4.

I bought this oven because my elderly aunt has a hard time with the doors of most toaster ovens. This oven door slid up and out of the way so it was perfect for her. Well, it stopped toasting after 6 months.

The oven settings are still working but the toast setting does not. I’ve contacted the manufacturer several times but no one has ever responded. What a waste.

I go through about 1 toaster oven a year because I use it daily. This is the best one I have ever had and for the price it was definitely worth it. I have spent much more on ones that do not work as well.

This machine toasts things evenly which none of the ones I have had really did. And the flip up front makes things so much easier and safer. I have burned myself on other machines but not this one. And it reheats pizza the best!!! Very good investment and I will definitely recommend and would buy again.

I purchased this toaster oven 1-1/2 years ago. Don’t like to review an item until I have used it for a period of time. I was replacing a 20 year old Black and Decker 6 slice toaster oven which was fantastic but it finally gave out.

It took me over 6 months of searching until I decided on this one. It is substantially lighter than my previous oven so I wasn’t sure how it would hold up. I use it every day mostly for baking, toasting, rewarming and simple cooking.

I actually like it better than my old one. The easy reach feature is fantastic. I can check whatever I’m cooking or baking without turning it off. Also, I have limited counter space so although it is fairly large, the easy reach feature still gives me room on the counter.

Toast comes out perfect. Love this oven. The only con is that the oven door does not detach for cleaning. Luckily I have small hands and can open it and reach under to clean inside of oven door. Also, the baking pan that comes with it discolors even though I always cover it with foil.

It does not hold 6 slices of bread; 4 with a little extra room Otherwise, I have had no problems and really love all the features. Would buy again!.

I got this oven (as many do) to replace one that had the thermostat go bad. This was the cheapest oven I found that was of similar size and had an oven rack, crumb tray and grease drip pan. The latter I am using as a baking pan.

This way I could use the oven immediately without having to buy accessories that should come with all ovens! Set up: Take out the crumb tray and remove the cardboard protectors on it! The oven when new will stink the first couple of times you use it.

I suggest, if you have a place, to run it 1/2 hour or so at 400°F outside. Not where it can get wet, children or pets can get burned on it, etc. Your nose will thank you. This is normal, new ovens always stink the first time used.

I also foiled over the drip pan; again, I use it for baking as I do not broil meat in the oven, so I have no need to catch grease. Leave room to the side and behind the oven so air can circulate around it.

Also, the window will allow a lot of heat to exit. I put a pot holder in front of the oven on the kitchen counter to block the direct light (heat) onto my kitchen counter. Use: The manual does not come out and say this directly but top to bottom the knobs are for: A.

Temperature B. Mode C. Time There! Simply stated. For toast, the temperature should be set to 450°F (maximum), the mode selector knob set to “Toast” and the time set as detailed below. For baking, the temperature should be set to the desired value, the mode selector to “Bake” and the time as detailed below.

Time: Takes a bit to get used to the method, but once you have it, it will become second nature. A. You must move the time past 10 minutes (clockwise) B. If you want longer, then continue clockwise to the desired time C.

If you want less than 10 minutes OR for toast, then gently turn counterclockwise to either the shorter time or the toast ‘doneness’ silhouette. So for toast: set temperature to 450°, set mode to toast then turn time knob past 10 minutes then back to the ‘doneness’ desired.

You will need to calibrate the time for your bread, etc. Baking: they suggest going to the toast time to preheat. What? Just set the desired baking time to 5 minutes more if you want to pre-heat. Or set to 15 minutes or longer then go back in 5 minutes and reset the timer to the desired time.

Much simpler. If you cannot be bothered to keep track of the preheat time, well, good luck cooking anything! So far works fine for what I use it for: cooking frozen chicken, grilled cheese sandwiches, etc.

Not sure how a 9″ pizza would do as there are only single heater elements top and bottom, so the direct heating is not very uniform. You can always use a small pan or couple of layers of foil on the rack to help even out the temperature.

i like this toaster oven. for toast, it is ok, there are 3 levels of toasting you can choose. Not a real even browning but it does the job. I like the bottom crumb tray and the aluminum? baking tray that sits on the wire rack, as well.

both would be dishwasher safe and non rust. The dials are good. Only thing so far i do NOT like is the almost inaudible single “ding” it makes when the timer is done ( lost one star for that). It is only red on the front, btw.

The rest of it is all black. Not a problem for me, as i have both colors in my kitchen. Also the vents are on the two sides, that is also a plus for me, as i like to break the rules and keep a glass bowl of stuff on the top since i have so little space on my counter.

The cord comes from underneath, on the back side. The back extends out in a bulge in the center, about one extra inch, as the shape of the inner oven is rounded in back, to accomodate round things you will put into it; either single serve pizzas, or oven proof dish or small pie tin perhaps.

with my big kitchen stove out of service, this pretty little gem is working well for me so far, i have only used it a few times, so far so good.

So far, I love it. I did not think it would cook evenly, but darn it, it does for a oven with just two center heating elements. They really managed to do it. Must be the quartz halogen heating and the shield that spreads it evenly.

Ive had others with 4 “Caltron” type elements, two on the bottom and two on top that didn’t do as well as this one. PLUS it heats up FAST! IT IS SMOL btw, I knew that coming in, make sure you now what you’re getting before you order, the dimensions are listed.

My only gripe is that it has a two prong outlet. The plug IS polarized, but IMHO a 3 prong plug offers a lot more safety. The tray is aluminum and it’s already stained and hard to clean off. I suggest aluminum foil if you’re a stickler like I am.

I also use parchment paper, but if you’re not careful it can light up since there’s very little room inside that cavity. Use only if your very attentive.

Best little toaster oven ever. My MIL has had one for years and I finally got one too. It’s small (2 slices) so it doesn’t require much depth and counter space. It’s an actual oven too. So it bakes and toasts.

I ordered directly from Hamilton Beach’s website. Got one for my son too. Mine is called a ToastStation with the slot on top (tagged below). one caveat – I ordered twice one year apart directly from the Hamilton Beach website.

The first time, I was notified that their website was compromised and I had to get a new credit card number because of fraud. My second order was just last month in December. Now I have another fraudulent charge on that card.

I love this Hamilton Beach toaster/Oven as it it actually two separate appliances in one. I love that the toast pops up like a regular toaster and the oven really works beautifully with the ease of knobs, not buttons.

I also love the large slide out crumb drawer which can be cleaned out after each use. no build up of crumbs. I might add, I don’t like the quality of the little tray for the oven. It does NOT get clean from cooked on grease so it always looks dirty.

I had to buy an extra tray that always cleans up beautifully to use as I like all my things to look and feel clean.

I have little counter space in our downsized kitchen, and did not have room for a toaster and toaster oven. When I saw this combo, I knew it would be the perfect solution. The toaster takes longer than my old one.

The oven part is very small. If I had room for both, I would still go with that option. It reminds me of another appliance that is a toaster oven, 4 cup coffee maker and griddle on top, all in one. I am very happy with my new appliance.

My husband has wanted a toaster oven since we downsized, so he is happy too.

It is not our first HB appliance. So far, always have been very pleased with their durability and quality. This one is no exception. We bought it especially for the rotisserie. Cooked a large chicken, uniform grilling, nice colour, tender meat.

Surprisingly, the back and sides stayed clean, no splashing. Cakes came out very nice too. Convection works well. The only negative point is the lack of interior light and the door gets very hot. Have to be careful.

Would also be nice to have a rotating mesh basket for fries, we have ordered one from a third party.

If you’re looking for an extra large oven that can cook chicken and pizza and 12 cupcakes at the same time this is the conventional rotisserie air fryer for you. I would buy the extended warranty due to the fact that the mechanism that is inside of the machine that lights up the coils the glass coils burns out and melts I had one already for a year-and-a-half and it melted it we took it apart and this item is made in China the little device that’s inside of it to turn on the coils to make it light up and work so I can heat up that one is made cheaply other than that this whole cooking oven is perfect.

I would suggest to the company please have replacement parts so we can fix them because I still currently have my other oven sitting in my garage and all I’m missing is inside the machine to light up the coils to ignite it and it won’t work anymore so I have a perfectly good machine collecting dust.

But I suggest with all their devices by extended warranties.

The Black & Decker that this was to replace doesn’t require unplugging between uses. One can seemingly only assume that this device must be a fire hazard or something. I don’t know that to be a fact.

But, a requirement of unplugging after use certainly leaves that impression with a customer. Too much trouble to send back. I will look for another one that doesn’t leave such an uneasy feeling about even using it.

Looks sort of cool. Then again, looks can be deceiving.

This is a great addition to my kitchen. I love the modern design. It fits right on top of my counter and is so easy to use. I use it for anything that I would bake in my over. I cook biscuits in it so I don’t have to heat the big oven for just them.

This toaster oven is good for what it claims to do. It is a smaller toaster oven, but it still performs nicely and does quite a bit. It would be fantastic for one or two people. I agree with the “start lighter and tweak” manual recommendation for toasting. The design does not automatically pull out the rack with the open door, but that is not important to me. I only had two issues with the unit and they had nothing to do with performance.

The manual made the timer function seem more awkward than it actually is. The biggest issue I had with the unit is that there need to be a removable sticker/label sealing the door closed that states that is a 10 minute preheat “burn in” prior to the first use.

Yes, it is in the manual. However, if it is not your first toaster oven, you may not be inclined to check the manual for a slice of toast. I read the manual thoroughly prior to first use and knew what to expect.

I could see someone wanting to take it back to the store as defective if they glossed over that important piece of information though.

This Hamilton Beach 6-Slice Capacity Toaster Oven is getting the raw deal from some of these reviews, this is a great toaster oven! It works well and cooks the food evenly. It is easy to use and the bests thing is that it is easy to clean out too! The temperature can adjust from 150 to 450 degrees and heats up quickly.

It can cook a 7lb roast easily and it can fit a frozen lasagna. I love the timer bell and the thirty minute shutoff. It can cook 6 slices nicely and evenly. It is a perfect toaster oven for the price! A great deal and wonderful quality!.

Handy and heats food up quickly. Not only can you make perfectly toasted toast, but you can bake, Cook and reheat. Saving electricity rather than waiting for the over to warm and cook again. Very affordable.

Can be found at Walmart at times for $40.

Bought this black toaster oven to replace a red one that was a similar Hamilton Beach model. The red oven lasted many years with regular family use, but started to make a loud clicking noise recently.

I often prefer appliances without digital features, and this one is very simple and reliable. I prefer this new black model because it looks elegant, the timer is quieter, and the knobs are bigger and more ergonomic.

I find this model has adequate power for toasting bread, broiling steak, baking cupcakes, frozen pizzas, and french fries.

Let’s go down the list. 1. I hate the instructions, it folds out like a map, and is not user friendly when trying to read it on the counter when using the different functions for the first time (or the first few times till you get used to it), I photocopied the sections I needed.

2. Also wish it had come with a few recipes for THIS machine. 3. The timer is very loud, I could hear it downstairs from the other side of the house, as my husband said, for us it isn’t a problem, but if you have a baby sleeping it could be.

4. The handle got extremely warm after the 10 minute start up burn off. The knobs also get very hot during the air fry function. 5. I do like the F/C temperature numbers, as I have cookbooks from other countries, so it is easy to set the temperatures for those recipes.

6. I used a recipe that I have done many times in the oven, so that I could see the how it handled it, it was perfect, exactly as if I had done it in the oven, same times, temps, etc. This will be great during the summer, when I don’t want to heat up the kitchen.

7. I then tested the air fryer function, it worked well, except I had to add times to the recipes I was using, as the meat/poultry was not completely cooked. Another then that the air fryer worked well.

8. The inside area of the unit is not very big, you cannot put thick pieces of meat, etc in as it would touch the top when air frying, so a whole chicken is out of the question. 9. The bake pan became discolored after my first use, nothing that affects it usage.

I was excited to receive this appliance to test as I’ve never had a toaster oven before. The package arrived soon after I requested to test. The appliance box had pictures of the oven and all the parts that were included (trays) with descriptive information.

The oven was packed securely with some very sticky packing tape. The size of the oven is great so it doesn’t take up the whole counter. I like that I can use this toaster oven if I also need to use my range oven when food required different temps.

I think in the Summer it will be nice not to heat up the kitchen with my range oven. Only thing I had concerns with is that the top of the oven gets very hot. I had left one of the trays on top and I went to move it and it was HOT.

Maybe mention that more in the care instructions.

This little powerhouse of a counter top over is amazing! Large enough to fit a full bag of onion ring or fries. Crisps everything to perfection. Super easy to clean (everything comes out). No funky smell like some counter ovens.

Plenty of settings for just how each of us likes our food (toast, grilled cheese, etc ). The air fry feature is perfect for cutting calories. I like the look and design of it. Fits nicely with our stainless steel appliances.

I had my previous Hamilton Beach Toaster Oven for 25 years and it suddenly stopped working. There are so many choices now, but I decided to stay with the brand I know. Only need was has to be a roll top.

I am delighted with this new one, toasts evenly and I can put more slices of bread in at one time, but have yet to use the oven. The only trouble I had to start, was to put the timer on for toast, you have to turn past the 10min and then bring back to desired level of toast doneness.

I struggle to turn the dial back you have to pinch in the sides of the dial, but my husband did it right away and now it is very easy. Walmart also had the best price.

I bought this because of size, price and ease of use. I also ad read the reviews. The size was just right and so was the price. The rolling top opening is safe. The top of the unit does get hot but you won’t touch it since the top rolls up.

If kids are around just be aware of this. I have it on a countertop where no kids are around, but I did hold my hand over it to check that just in case. I unplugged it after using it to let it cool after using before pushing it against the backsplash.

I’m really happy with it! The outside getting hot is why the 4-star instead of 5-star rating.

I recently bought this item at the sale price (40), and it’s working great. The unit gets hot really quick, which is great about toasters. The glass door comes off really easy (for cleaning). I mainly got this toaster for heating up bread and the occasional cold pizza.

Working great so far. Everything was easy to use and easy to clean. Side note: My toaster came with a broken rack, the welding came undone. I’d contacted the manufacturer, and they are sending me another oven rack.

I still gave this unit 5-Stars.

Replaced a larger 15-yr old convection toaster oven with this smaller Hamilton Beach. Love the red color in my kitchen and the fact it takes up less counter space. I also have more space between it and the bottom of my cabinets than with the older oven I had.

I can still broil and bake the same amount of food with less space. There is one problem as mentioned in other reviews. The toaster indicators are not calibrated correctly. The toast will burn if you set them according to those.

I have found if I set the dial slightly below the lowest toaster setting, I get perfect toast. The good news is that it toasts fast but so fast you have to watch it. I was also disappointed to see the Walmart version has no convection feature as some other 31335D models do.

Having had convection before, I will say this toaster oven broils and bakes just as quickly as my former oven if not quicker so this has not turned out to be an issue. The final problem I have with this oven is that my former oven had a self cleaning feature with teflon like material inside the oven.

This one is stainless steel and I have noticed that when I have broiled or baked food, there is food splashed on the ceiling of the oven and close to the upper burners which is very hard to clean. The crumb tray is easy to clean.

Overall, I am pleased with the product in spite of the qualifiers noted above.

I was hoping to say I really like this but I can’t. I have used it for several things and got good results. The problem is it has burned cinnamon rolls, especially the ones toward the back, and biscuits.

Moving the shelf down wouldn’t help. Difficult to set correct temperature.

This is the perfect size toaster oven for me- not too big and not too small. Fits a 12″ pizza, yes, but also 9×9″ and 8×8″ baking pans, 2 regular size loaf pans, and more. Also a plus for me is that it’s not digital, but has the old school dials.

Works very well. There really is a lot of energy savings using a toaster oven instead of the oven in the stove. I will use this nearly every day. Maybe a little pricey, but with the money I will save on electricity it will pay for itself in a couple months.

Would definitely buy again and recommend to a friend.

This was a gift for my fiancé, whose toaster oven broke down suddenly. She was throughly surprised when I walked into the house with this one. It has every feature she needs, and it has really saved on her electric bill.

Very pleased with this toaster oven so far! Requires practically no preheat time for smaller items. Cooks very evenly with the convection feature. Mostly use it for smaller items to avoid heating and using the regular full size oven.

Excellent for Pizza, smaller items and food you would otherwise use a toaster for. The instruction booklet is very limited but check out the Hamilton Beach website for recipes.

If you live in the south like I do it gets really hot in the summer. This is a great toaster over and cooks great. It’s the perfect solution if you don’t want to turn on your big oven in the summer.

Love the oven features. It works great and is not big nor small. Let me tell you; with the reviews I thought this was a tiny little oven but is a good size one that you can fit 6 loaves of bread in it with a bit of space so is a pretty good size.

Is amazing how you bake / toast / air fry in just one appliance. Reason I gave it 4 stars is the inside basket / tray for airfry only is a bit cheap but you can replace them with something better. The tray rusted after first use so i bought new ones from a different site.

Overall great purchase just wish it didn’t rust.

Best toast ever, cooks evenly and perfectly. I did return because it is too large for my tiny kitchen. I did make pizza with the air fryer. It cooked in half the time of my conventional oven and the pizza was perfect.

I would recommend hanging the rack on the bottom if you use a lot of toppings. The top heating element did touch the toppings. Other than size I would have kept it and recommend especially if you are getting into air frying.

This little oven has attractive styling, a smooth door with an ergonomic handle. It bakes well and evenly and you have the choice of three pan positions. It toasts well, and as fast as my toaster. It looks nice on the counter, is easy to clean and generally very useful.

It’s big enough for a 12″ pizza or a decent-size roasting pan. It has a little extra depth in the back to accommodate that. I will update when I have used the air fryer function, but so far, it’s excellent.

The dials are clear: choose function, temperature and set timer or put on Stay On. Recommended.

I already owned a Toaster Oven and an Air Fryer, but they were taking up all my kitchen counter space. When I saw that this Hamilton Beach Sure Crisp Air Fryer Toaster Oven with Easy Reach Door at such a reasonable cost, I purchased it right away.

Some may think the fact that it uses dials to set temperature, cooking mode and cook time is a negative, I love the simplicity. The markings on all 3 dials are easy to read and I appreciate that the timer can be set for the Toaster Oven/ Air Fryer to either stay on until I turn it off manually, or be set for a specific time period, after which it will ding so I know that the time is up.

Instructions say to turn the timer dial past 10 minutes and then in the opposite direction for cook times under 10 minutes. While I would have preferred that each minute had been marked on the dial, it’s not at all difficult to guesstimate where the in between minutes would be using the 5 minute intervals that have markings.

I Love the included Air Fryer Basket and the fact that I can see my food while it’s cooking. I was overcooking just about everything in my other air fryer. I especially love that it fits on top of the cooking tray (also included), so I don’t have to worry about drips messing up the bottom of the unit.

The slide out tray on the very bottom of the unit is a handy feature because it catches the crumbs when I make toast and is super simple to clean. The Easy Reach Door is genius! It allows me to quickly turn over the food I am cooking without losing too much heat in the process.

Easy to follow instructions for baking, air frying.

We initially loved this toaster oven because of the cooking space inside, the 2 level options for the shelf, and the door that rolls up making it so much easier to take out food etc. It also doesn’t take up too much space on the counter.

However, after about 11 months, the toaster oven stopped working. The heating function no longer works when you set the timer, and the only way we were able to use it was with the “stay on” function and setting a timer on a different device.

Very dangerous! Now it doesn’t even work consistently using the “stay on” function. It is not an issue with the electrical outlet as the light still turns on and we tested other electronics on the same outlet.

I tried to contact Hamilton Beach customer service and they do not accept calls nor emails using their website email form. Very disappointed to have purchased an expensive toaster oven that lasted less than one year.

This is a nice toaster oven for the price. It is a good size to fix small meals for my family of 3. It takes a couple of days to get accustomed to as far as avoiding burns to hands and proper cooking times for different things.

The air fryer option is still a struggle and I don’t know why. I’ve followed the instructions in the owners manual but this feature still seems to be lacking. The oven works rather well otherwise. The size is decent for a kitchen with minimal counter space.

I do like the way the front opens and I like the rather fool proof dials. It’s not very easy to clean the front glass and I’m still trying to figure out how to keep everything clean since it’s advised not to use foil on the trays.

Overall, I am content with my purchase.

This countertop oven is not only attractive but it’s versatility makes it a much welcome addition to any kitchen. I especially liked the large capacity and the built-in rotisserie. The control knobs are very easy to use and the included accessories are good quality.

The unit itself seems to be sturdy and well-made. I found it to be very easy to use and the instructions were very clear. I also liked that I had the choice of having the unit shut off by itself or have it run continuously.

There were only a couple of drawbacks that I found with this unit. The top of the oven gets very hot when in use so you need to take care not to touch it. The other is that it doesn’t have an internal light which I find would be helpful.

All in all, I find that if you have the space for a large countertop oven then this Hamilton Beach oven is an excellent choice!.

It’s an amazing product that we use all the time. If we have something small to bake, we use this toaster. I also use it as a back up to my oven during the holidays. In addition to baking in it, we often keep food in the toaster oven to keep it warm.

Never used the rotisserie function. I live this version.

Best counter top oven out there. You can even rotisserie a 5lb chicken, which comes out AMAZING. This is my 2nd one and I will buy a 3rd if I have to. It cooks wonderful and even has a convection as well.

I definitely recommend to everyone. And you can fit a 9×11 pan inside as well.

This is an awkward issue of a toaster oven: 1. The door is indexed to close at 3 different positions. For a solidly built machine it wouldn’t be a problem, but you’ll see how clunky this one is. 2. The grill has a subtle but annoying lip on it.

It has to be flipped upside down if you want to be able to slide toast out without burning your fingers. Also, the grill lines up to bump into the glass door and scratch the glass over time. 3. Very imprecise timing to this- you have to fool around with it to get things not to burn Overall, it’s evident that the people behind this product didn’t care.

Unbelievable they ask as much as they do for it.

Really love this oven. The air fry function cooks food very quickly. I would say reduce the amount of time you would usually cook something as it’s easy to overcook. My only complaint would be the door.

Because the hinges of the door are very low, when it is fully open there can’t be anything on the counter in front of it. Otherwise you can’t lower the door fully making it difficult to get the trays in and out.

With my previous oven I had a cutting board in front of it and there was lots of space to transfer prepped food from the board directly in to the oven.

User friendly. Love how it have simple turn knobs to select choice of method to cook, temperature preference and the last knob to start and set time. Air fryer basket tray is great for reheating crispy food items.

The tray on bottom catches the grease that comes out of them items from air frying (such as potato balls, french fries, fish sticks, etc). Giving 4 stars because I would like more height space between basket and top so I can put a turkey drumstick in it without worrying it will touch the top heat bars.

I can put basket tray on lower section but I won’t have the tray to catch oil drippings from touching the bottom heat bars. After heating up items I used tongs to pull tray/basket out as it can get really hot and I didn’t want to get the grease/food stain on oven gloves.

Honestly, it’s a great toaster/air fryer, our family uses it daily and had it for over a month already.
