20 Best Hamburger Meat For Burgers (2023 Updated)

When I see sweet, I think of things like ice cream, cake, etc. We tried 1st one with ketchup. Not good. 2nd one with a mix of ketchup, brown sugar, & vinegar. A little better but I will not be ordering them again.

I feel bad about giving 3 stars because there are a lot of pros- they don’t shrink much at all, they are a nice size that hangs over bun when fully cooked, cooks nice and even, you can throw them on frozen, and they are very easy to pull apart.

Also, they were good to have during shut in with meat shortage. Would also work for a very large picnic. con and it’s a big one in my house -The issue I have is that they don’t have much flavor at all.

I initially logged in here to see what other ingredients were in it. I was thinking soy would be an ingredient just because it has very little to no flavor. It’s all meat with spices added. We will finish up the box but they won’t be a repeat purchase.

3 stars because of flavor but I liked everything else about it.

To tell you the truth. I forgot what day delivery was. I didn’t go out to get the mail that day. Next day went out. The box was ripped open by some animal. Empty beef wrappers all over the yard. Whomever liked them alot.

We love the bison, but just tried the ground elk last night. It was unremarkable. It had very little taste and we will not buy it again. We will continue to order the bison, though.

IšverstiShow in original languageThis is the only plant-based burger I’ve tried (and I’ve tried at least a dozen brands) that is NOT MUSHY! It’s also juicy and has that satisfying mouth-full chewiness that real burgers have, which is close to a miracle for a vegetarian or vegan burger.

I also like that it’s not composed of soy protein isolates and other genetically engineered rubbish, it’s mostly pea protein and other vegetable ingredients such as beets, which contribute to the juiciness.

It’s also not full of grains. I think the juiciness comes from the beet components. Really the closest thing to a real burger you can get. I’ve also read good things about kelp-based burgers but they’re so expensive plus they’re not sold locally, so I would love it if Wild Fork started to carry those as well.

They are also very filling but not heavy on the gut. They appear to be made mostly of pea protein, a little rice protein and potato starch among other oils and fruit extracts. Most veggie burgers or vegan products in general just taste like they’re healthy.

These burgers, however, are actually appealing. My kids even like them and I can barely get them to like anything.

The scent upon initially cooking smells a bit like animal food, but if you are not vegan… just cook a little bacon first and then plop the patties right in the fat.

Delicious. No shame. Also amazing with asparagus. Weirdest thing to get accustomed to is that they will never look “fully” cooked. Your burger when you bite into it will be pink. Always something to warn those who have an aversion to “undercooked” meat.

Biggest issue: too much gristle. I get some hard, unchewable bits in every other bite, and thats too much. They say to cook them up from frozen. But when I do, the burger is too dry even though I cook it medium.

Better if thawed, but that takes time and makes this a lot less convenient. Flavor is kind of bland. Its less flavor and lower quality than i get from other warehouse club brands, and not what I’d expect from Angus.

So horrible I hardly know where to start! We normally buy the freshly ground 90% lean ground beef, but decided to try these for our family’s annual 4th of July gathering to save a little time and work.

What a mistake! Texture is absolutely awful. My guess is the use of some sort of binder not clearly listed in the ingredients. Taste was very bland as well. Never again!.

They seem different from a year ago. Texture is springy and almost like meatloaf. The flavor is ok, but not like I remember them last year. They grilled well. I’m suspicious of what exactly “encapsulated salt” is in the ingredient list.

Next time I’ll probably choose the Sirloin burgers, which has only Sirloin beef and beef as ingredients, and add my own flavoring.

I have been trying to cut down on meat products a lot in the past few months so Im trying many different products including these beyond meat burgers. Cooked them in my airfryer then added some swiss cheese slices on them.

They are so good!! Me and my partner are loving these as an alternative to beef or pork meat. Will definately try other products from this company to hopefully discover more new faves!.

I have been either vegetarian or vegan most of my life. The last 10 years have made it so much easier with all the new vegan products, but we were really lacking in the “burger” area. These by far are the best burgers out there.

You cannot tell it is plants, the nutritional value is amazing for a vegan product, and as usual Beyond went way above and beyond in the ethical packaging. Great product, I suggest them to anyone that wants to try to eat less meat!!.

Ohk so these are actually pretty terrific for a non meat burger. I grabbed them because curiosity got the best of me and I liked the protein content. They definitely exceeded my expectations. I’m not going to say they taste like meat because honesty they DON’T, however they do have a really good flavor as well as a meaty texture.

I think the best part of these burgers is they don’t leave a horrible aftertaste like I’ve experienced with so many others. As you can see my children are also fans so I’ll definitely get these again!.

When trying to avoid the fat in my foods 20% fat in my burger is not acceptable as a substitute, if l wanted that much fat in my burger, l would be spending less on my burger! I pay the premium price for lean burger in order to avoid having to drain and rinse my burger before making my meal.

These are really good me my husband really enjoy them. The price is average for what you get. Not much to improve with this. Has great flavor but definitely zip it up add your own spices flavors here’s a fantastic tip.

If you have an air fryer cook your burgers in the air fryer when their done cooking add the cheese and put them back in the air fryer to melt the cheese because air fryer cheeseburgers come out amazing.

We love trying new burger blends and being a Texan I am extremely fond of Brisket. Because of that we were stoked to receive these for review and instantly decided to make a BBQ style burger with some leftover Mac Cheese after Thanksgiving.

They grilled up well, though they did give off quite a bit of smoke indicating a slightly higher fat content than we are used to. That being said they grilled up well and were juice despite the darker color from all of the BBQ sauce we mixed into our seasoning blend (salt, pepper, garlic, Sweet Baby Ray’s sauce.

) From there we put them on brioche buns with a mound of Mac cheese, a thick cut onion ring and more drizzled BBQ sauce. You’d think with all the toppings we wouldn’t be able to taste much of the meat but these have such a great flavor on their own that the meat was able to shine through.

Overall we will definitely purchase these again as the great flavor is indicative of the superior meat quality for such a low price point.

Absolutely one of the best hamburgers I have ever made. I added bacon bits to it and cooked on a low /medium heat on the grill. I added bacon/cheddar seasoning as well. Then I put it on lightly warmed up Hawaiian rolls with mozzarella cheese, added fresh cut tomatoes, some mayo and a basalmic glaze.

Even without the sandwich part, the meat was incredible! The quality is definitely top notch! The price is totally reasonable for how thick the burgers are! I was very impressed and was happy to see that there was 6 in a package.

Will be buying again for sure!.

I ordered the Ultimate Burger Kit for hubby’s birthday — he loves hamburgers, and really, who doesn’t? Neither of us had enjoyed Wagyu beef and he had never enjoyed Foie Gras. As we live in an apartment, we are limited to an electric outdoor grill.

Nonetheless, the burger patties were easy to grill. I didn’t the how flat the packaged patties were, so I mushed them together and reformed thicker ones. Instead of placing the dollop of the Truffle Butter inside the patties, I topped each patty with the butter once I flipped them.

Served medium to medium rare. For the Foie Gras, only one complaint — the slices looked nothing like the ones pictured. Instead of the listed average 5 oz. , the pack was marked as 4 oz. The slices were at about a third the size of the pictured ones, though somewhat thicker.

Preparing the Foie Gras was super easy, followed the instructions and it was delicious. Next time, though I followed the recommendation to heavily salt and pepper, I’ll do even extra on the salt (we each sprinkled a little sea salt on top when eating, problem solved).

Instead of a bun, I opted for open face — we really wanted to taste the Wagyu and Foie Gras. Took an unsliced loaf of Brioche Bread, made 3/4″ thick rounds, toasted on the grill, smeared a bit of the Truffle Butter on each side.

Toasted and Truffled Buttered Brioche, topped with the Wagyu patty that had been topped with Truffle Butter, topped with the Foie Gras. DELICIOUS. And for such an extravagant affair, super easy preparation and cleanup.

This was my first time cooking with Foie Gras, but wow. Just wow. This was absolutely incredible. Though I would actually half the amount of butter used. With the foie and the richness of the wagyu, the butter was overwhelming.

And not the truffle flavor, the butter flavor. I liked the truffle flavor and I liked the addition of the foie and the burger was just amazing. But for my second helping I cut back on the amount of butter in the recipe.

Just one of the 2 containers was more than enough for the entire kit for me.

This was simply amazing!! I’ve made homemade burgers before but never have I put together a flavor profile like this. In the instructions, I found it difficult to slide the frozen butter disk into the middle of the patty, so instead I reshaped the patty around the butter.

Perfect! I let the foie gras cook a bit longer since the slice was a bit thick. The only topping I added was raw onion. I couldn’t have had a better meal. I will definitely order this again!.

These burgers were tasty and high quality just like everything from Allen Brothers.

These short rib – brisket burgers are awesome! Maybe better than the AB prime steakburgers (who would have guessed?) with more flavor and goodness. A great addition to an already great line of burgers!.

Perfect mixture of beef cuts so that you get a juicy and tasty patty. Have bought these for other people and they all rave about how great they are. Great for a burger, patty melt, etc or just as a stand-alone.

I purchased the Impossible Burger in the preformed 2pk of quarter pound patties. I was very skeptical of this purchase and I dont understand why plant based foods are being made to resemble meat. If you are trying to reduce the meat in your diet, or are vegan/vegetarian, why are you trying to trick yourself into thinking you are eating meat.

That being said my husband was the most reluctant to try the fake meat burger and surprisingly proclaimed that it wasn’t all that bad. The flavor is not that of a burger but clearly has some additives that are trying to make it taste like one.

The consistancy of this fake meat is more dense than a regular ground beef patty. If I were to have purchased this is the ground block form I’m not sure how easy it would be to make patties from as the fake meat product is very sticky compared to regular ground beef.

I will probably try to add these patties into our summer grilling menu since my husband doesn’t enjoy when our daughter and I have salad nights with no meat.

I have been eating impossible ground and patties for more than a year now. Have tried all the others in the market for sale, yours is the best in flavor texture all around. I only recommend your products to friends and others that may be looking for meat alternative.

Wish I could buy the 2 pk ground and 12 burger bundle directly from Impossible foods again. Best value when purchasing direct stores too expensive or they carry the crappy tasting. Should sell to Grocery Outlet on a regular basis.

Very good burger with lots of taste. Don’t be shy about getting a nice char on the 10 oz size and still have the inside a perfect med-rare. However, I received the burgers frozen but all out of shape and a few with completely flattened sides.

It’s almost like they thawed at some point, were thrown around or against something and then refrozen and shipped out. I wrote customer service and offered to send pics but have received no response.

I don’t mind paying $90 for 12 burgers but I expect them to look like burgers. May try somewhere else next time.

As a carnivore connoisseur, I have been a Wagyu fan for years, with its rich fat ratio, and superb beef flavor. truly the best beef on the planet, whether its an A5 ribeye, or Wagyu hot dogs. With that being said, I can say these are the absolute best burgers I have ever had.

The thick pattie also allows you to grill them on very high heat, to get that perfect charcoal sear/char, while still being able to serve at a perfect med-rare. Trust me, worth every penny.

The Waygu steak burgers are the best burgers you’ll ever have. Over a fire is fine, excellent, better than you can imagine. If you want the perfect taste, cast iron cooking at medium high heat gives it that char you’re looking for while producing a medium/medium rare inside.

Nothing beats these Waygu burgers from Allen Brothers!.

One package left out in fridge and made the next night. I wanted to taste the beef with this first one and kept it basic with chedder. My very first bite it was so juicy it shot juice 4ft to my left as my family and I bust up in laughter.

Taste sent me to nirvana and the rest of the meal with my family was silent and we slowly devoured our burger. Ordered 5 more packages that night! Bucket list burger to grill and eat!.

IšverstiShow in original languageLongtime SRF fan here. The taste, texture and quality of these burgers are fantastic, bar none. However the packaging is problematic as it is impossible to separate two burgers while frozen, and also difficult while thawed without tearing them apart.

I bought a couple of dozen of them for a vacation and while delicious, they were a challenge to prepare. They either ought to be packaged individually or with something sturdier to keep them apart.

IšverstiShow in original languageAfter sous-vide-ing for medium rare, I was dismayed to find all the juices rendered in the bag. So–when I briefly grilled them, the meat was dry, sans juices. I have two burgers left, and will just grill them, rather than risk the juices thrown away in the bag.

My hunch is that the burger is so fatty that the fat rendered at the 140 degree temperature. What a shame!.

Just outstanding! Best burgers, delicious flavor! They don’t shrink and are very filling. I have gotten the 6 and 10 oz versions and they both don’t disappoint. had to move to the deep freezer so they would last! EVERYONE says they are the best!.

First time order was for 1/4 lb burgers. I tried them because I had bought some as a gift for my mother. She raved about them! I understand why now! They were excellent! VERY tasty. Will definitely be ordering more, but will most likely get the 1/3 lb.
