Best Halo Mega Bloks Sets (2024 Updated)

After arranging the bags of parts out in to order I looked at the instructions book in more detail. I found it perplexing to say the least. The mini figures are extremely fiddly to piece together but do look like the figures on the box.

The vehicle itself was fun to build but ultimately took some time to put together. Whilst putting it together I had to use the special tool to remove an incorrect piece and nearly took off a thumbnail after it slipped.

Upon completion there were a number of left over pieces and one missing piece. I not 100% sure I’d buy this myself, but it was an experience building it which was both fun and frustrating. The end result is a toy which can be both played with and made in to a scene to enjoy.

We received this Halo set for free and I am so glad we did not pay for it. I helped my almost 10 year old put this together because he was having a hard time figuring out the instructions. Honestly, I did too.

So many steps it was difficult to tell exactly where pieces went and which direction they needed to go and the pieces were difficult to snap together. The figures were also ridiculous to put together.

They came partially assembled, which would have been good, but to put some of the extra armor on, you had to take them back apart. Then getting their parts to all fit together properly was nearly impossible.

We had to recruit my husband to get some of them together because neither of us were able to get them in far enough. You would go to put one part on and another would pop off. It was extremely frustrating.

We were hoping my son would at least enjoy it once it was all together, but he didn’t. He said that the figures don’t hold the guns very well and their legs and arms keep popping off. We will definitely not get another one of these sets after our experience.

This is a fun build for Halo fans. The directions were easy to follow for any experienced builder. The best part of this toy, was that after you had the fun of building it, there was the additional fun of playing with the finished product.

We are a household that typically is loyal to one building type of toy, but this particular set was a great addition to our collection.

My son had so much fun playing with this Hijacked Ghost Mega Construx set! It took him about 30 minutes to put the whole set together. His absolute favorite part was the missile launchers! He used the missiles to hit the other action figures.

My son was constantly setting up battles and this set kept his attention for over an hour! He especially liked that he could turn the vehicle into a missile launching station. This set gave him the opportunity to let use his building skills and have fun at the same time!.

Upon receiving this toy, my 9 year old was hesitant when he saw that there were 123 pieces but the directions were clear and he was able to put it together with little help. The end result is pretty cool but I wish there wasn’t a need for so many pieces.

I also like the fact that there can be 2 different toys made and I also like that there are physical toys for a video game. It makes the imagination more fun than normal! I gave 3 stars because of how many pieces but if your child likes to build things, I would definitely recommend this toy.

My boys picked this set out and had fun putting the building blocks/action figures together. The figures are posable and hold their positions well. The quality of the pieces are very good and building pieces stay together as expected.

My children do not know what Halo is but they still found the figures fun to play with. They seemed interested in possibly getting more sets like it.

So, my building obsessed kiddo is not familiar with the Halo universe at all. But that in no way deterred her interest in the Mega Construx UNSC Wasp Onsalught. To her, they are just cool soldier guys fighting.

And the soldier guys are, in fact, pretty cool! They aren’t the classic figure that comes with some building toys; these are fully articulated mini action figures. The most surprising thing about this set is the 2-in-1 aspect.

There is the main build you see on the cover of the box, with an additional build option with the same pieces. There is a helpful QR code to scan for directions with this second build. This is a clever way to get more use of the set.

All in all, this is a great set, even if you have no idea about the story. An awesome idea for a gift for your building fan.

My son loved the fact that he could build the toy and then play with it. He was also very surprised that I let him have a toy of war, but I felt that he could handle this because the scale of the toy was not realistic.

He has never played Halo and does not play video games more than an hour a week on his Switch. He liked the turbos, the snap feature on the cockpit and that the gun turret spins. He was happy that the toy was compatible with Legos but we were both disapointed that even though it was called Construx the pieces were not Construx and did not fit with our collection of legacy Contrux.

Do not call them construx because they are not as all the same. Overall he was very smiley when he built the toy and played with it but only lasted about a week in the roation before he was playing with something else.

Seen pictures on Instagram about it and it seems super amazing. The only inconvenience I see is how Fred 104 (the blue fig) is lacking some details that the first one had from years ago his knife hilts are all the same color showing that is the lack of wanting to make it the best set other than that it’s super amazing.

So that’s why it gets a 5/5. ALSO MAYBE HARD TO BUILD FOR SOME AGES HAVE ADULT OR SOMEONE WHO IS FAMILIAR WITH THESE ITEMS OR TOYS.

The actual design and appearance is fantastic and spot on, but my set in particular had some quality assurance problems. The spine on Fred is miss made so his torso doesn’t fully connect like it should, and the swivel on the chopper is VERY loose.

Other than these undoubtedly rare, if not one-off, problem, the set is fine and is to the recently upstanding quality of modern day Mega Contrux.

I was excited for this set. The target shipping box was fine but when opened the original box was badly damaged. Not a big deal as it doesn’t appear to have any damage to pieces.

A figure and vehicle from a more niche Halo game, Halo Wars 2, Kisano and her Cyclops mech are a really great addition to any UNSC army, or to be admired on a shelf. Highly detailed figure, and the flood infection forms are a highlight too.

Our son had a great time building this toy. Looks great.

Arrived before expected, greatly apreciated

Received this product for my 5 year old son to review and he was pretty excited to play with it immediately. It’s a perfect set for him as he loves to collect different soldiers to role play different characters and absolutely loves building things.

He did need some assistance on connecting some parts as they don’t clasp as easily as other brands like his other block sets. He does like that this was a bit more challenging with the super tiny blocks but got a little frustrated as they have to be really precise when connecting.

The aesthetics and looks of this toy is of great quality and he really enjoyed the finished product. Each character came with different accessories and the vehicle was built perfectly and rolls with no problem.

Overall, he really enjoyed building this toy and continues to play with it, not like his usual toys that he gets tired of after one use. He looks forward to collecting more sets of these.

My oldest son (6. 5) is unbelievable at working with building blocks, but we really don’t have many from the Mega Construx brand. He’s just starting to get into video games, and has been interested Halo, so he was pretty excited.

My youngest son (5) loves playing with “army guys”, so he thought these figures were awesome. The youngest was able to put together the figures, and his brother did the rest. I felt the included bags were really well organized, and liked that it offered an alternative building too.

Their sister (and friends/family) are actually top ranked in Halo! They loved being able to show her/them their cool new toy “just like they play”, and talk to them all about it. Easy to assemble, fun, and kept them excited- we’ll definitely be checking out more sets!.

When we open this halo set up, it was instant excitement. I like that there were pretty directions that I allowed my child to start assembling immediately. Those instructions, along with the vividly illustrated box, made him ready to get started.

The bags are clearly labeled with numbers instructing the order of assembly. He was excited to have so many characters to interact with, as well as a Meet vehicle. After some time playing with all of the pieces, we scan the QR code and realize that there is even more fun to be had with the convertible two in one nature of the toy.

He was able to build something completely new and continue playing in a new and fun way.

This was purchased for my two younger sons, who are under the age of 8, with the intention of assembling the majority of the ship myself. Well, assembly went smoothly, over the course of two days. The boys lost interest after the first couple hours or so.

I was committed to assembly and completed it. Had a couple minor hiccups that were my fault but I corrected them. I wouldn’t reccomend this for any child under the age of 10. I’m not a fan of the visual instructions; sometimes they’re a bit convuluted but I made the best of it.

Assembled, the Pelican is huge. I didn’t realize how large it is. It is an awesome showpiece to go along with the remainder of our acquired Halo Infinite Mega construx pieces. I only gave four stars due to the ratcheting mechanism on one of the rear engines.

It doesn’t work. It’s attached completely yet the mechanism doesn’t engage. The engine is completely poseable and doesn’t affect it cosmetically but it is disheartening to get the the final phase just to find out that it doesn’t work.

Purchased this item a little on the hesitant side as I had never heard of this company before. They were the only store that actually had this item in stock. I could not find it in Canada or in the US.

So I purchased here hoping it wasn’t a mistake cause I almost couldn’t believe I could find It anywhere!!! Super pleased! Item is as described. Took a little longer than the estimated date. Not a problem, though! I’m going to have an extremely happy boy at Christmas time.

Awesome set. Like the way mega used to do it in their heyday. Great detail, good minifigures and tons of pieces. The playset gimmick is corny and dumb and the alternate builds are as well but the main pelican build is well worth the money.

These figures are really good quality. The plastic feels durable and has some flexibility so I’m not concerned about it breaking. The drtails of the figures is good for how small they are: detailed fingers, good color separations, and removeable helmets for most of the characters.

There’s a lot of extra little weapons and some of the armor pieces are modular and can be mixed and matched across the figures. Overall I think this is a really good set with a lot of options for Halo fans.

This is a hit with my 8 year old son! He is in to action figures right now and these fit the bill! He liked the small parts that they included and I liked that there weren’t so many that If he loses one the toy is unusable.

He can still play with it even if he loses a small accessory—because that happens! Overall he is happy with them! Also, my son vaguely knows the Halo game but it didn’t matter. He loved the toys even without playing the video game.

This is an awesome addition to the Halo Mega Construx collection. The figures are easy to assemble and the armor colors of the Covenant are vibrant. The figures are also quite mobile and have various ranges of motion for each body part.

The additional “Build It!” pieces that come with the product don’t take much time at all to set up, so everything is ready to go for play or display!.

This was a little difficult to put together, but after stepping in to help my son here and there he was pleased with the finished product. The instructions aren’t super clear in some places (hard to figure out exact placement of some of the pieces) but my son was a big fan of the ship and figures.

The 3 Halo figures are posable and each have a weapon for fun pretend play. He also loves that you can choose whether to make the Banshee in purple or gold. The Banshee also has plastic missiles that can be fired by pushing little levers on the bottom of the ship.

Overall, it is a great detailed set, but just be prepared to step in and help a bit with the building process.

My 8 yr old son loves this Mega Construct Halo set. It is very interactive, having 4 toy aliens and a spaceship. The characters look true to the game. The difficulty level was about a medium. I did have to assist with some of the smaller, more flexible parts.

It’s a great gift because they experience the fun in building the ship and characters, and then get to explore their imagination once it is built. I was provided this toy at no price in exchange for my honest opinion.

Wow. I havent had this much fun since i was my sons age! This piece was like playing Halo 2 again! The Elites and the Banshee depiction were spot on! My son and i built it together over two nights and we loved every minute of it! The colors and materials are really well done.

I liked the plasma launcher it has at the front – great velocity, really packs a punch. Now i have to go out and complete the set!.

Normally, a ship like this with more than 2000 pieces takes more than 2 days to build. This model comes with identified bags, so it makes it easy to build it (took me 9-10 hours)

Never sleeping on megabloks/mega construx halo or destiny set ever again.

This was 116 when I bought two of them and now they have gone up to 150 and probably will increase. Definitely worth it and have already built one of them 🙂 can’t beat the price

The level of detail on the parts were superb – my son and I had a great time putting it together. The movable suspension on it was a nice touch. A big plus is the ability to convert the vehicle into the boat – which we haven’t done yet but it’s nice to have a new thing to play with.

We liked that it came with 4 characters and accessories. The instructions were clear and easy to follow and printed big. Will definitely look into getting the other Halo Mega Construx sets!.

So, my 7 year old son is really into playing with figures and vehicles. I thought this would be perfect for him. He got totally overwhelmed with trying to put it together because building is really not his thing.

He had his older brother sit and work on it with him and they had a great time working on it together. For 2 brothers that are constantly fighting, this was such a nice break. They got it put together pretty quickly and he’s been playing with it since.

Banshee Breakout was thoroughly enjoyed for several hours by my 8 year old and 4 year old Sons. The instructions were easily understood by my 8 year old and he was able to demonstrate and direct my 4 year old to how to also do it.

They enjoyed the colourful pieces and the interaction between them was wonderful as they worked together to build the vehicle as in the main box image as they were excited to use the missile launchers! This was a really cool feature as they had not experienced this on any other brand name products with the use of bricks.

It took them around 2. 5 hours to assemble the entire 218 bricks and pieces that are supplied in the box. The figures were a really good addition, making for a fun play and re-enact experience. It also made for much better play together as there was two figures, one each so no arguments! After a few days they decided to dismantle the vehicle to make the second version advertised.

My 8 year old said that it “is a better design but I think it will be harder to follow the instructions”. It took slightly less time to piece the blocks together correctly into the desired vehicle. It was great to see that the missiles could still be used and the mechanism for the launching of the missiles is very clever.

The stand or the vehicles to stimulate flying is a great feature that even I have never come across and makes for a more authentic play experience. Neither of my Sons were aware of Halo prior to this toy but this was quickly resolved by a few video watches on YouTube to familiarise themselves.

This toy makes for great imagination play for hours long. The retail price for the product is most definitely worth it especially as it doubles up as two playsets in one. I would also definitely consider purchasing the other sets for my children.

This set was perfect for my independent, block-loving seven-year-old. He put the whole thing together on his own, following the instructions and only asking for help once or twice. The instructions were simple to follow.

The figures are also jointed, so they bend at the arms and legs. Nice quality, the pieces don’t fall apart even during play. Even after a big drop, the ship was able to be put back together easily as the larger pieces held together.

A fun project for him to take apart and put back together. I expect we’ll lose the little yellow objects that it shoots, but that doesn’t worry me any. Overall, a nice choice for kids who love to build with blocks.

The pieces are also compatible with other blocks that we own, so he’s decorated the base and ship wings with some of his other pieces.

My boys were very happy to receive this toy and put it together, but almost immediately they had trouble putting together the parts. They have many Legos and are very capable with instructions, but this just wasn’t lining up or snapping together evenly.

The pieces were uneven and hard to snap together. After my help we got it working, but it wasn’t as well built as other building block toys.

Pros – it is a good deal for two figures and some weapons. Cons – the characters are slightly loose but it’s still perfectly fine. Hope you enjoy it because I did!

I just need to point out that the dimensions listed here are incorrect; it says 6 inches when assembled, which is more like the size of the package they come in. These figures are LEGO size mini figures.

My son will still be happy to receive them though.

I received this for free in exchange for an honest review. My almost nine year old brick and Halo fan was super excited to test this set out. The pieces went together just as well as sets from other brands.

We both liked the versatility of this set in that you can make two different builds with the pieces, though not simultaneously. My son was a big fan of the gears and moving component of the vehicle as it made playing with the built set more entertaining.

My only complaint was how small some of the figurine components were. The shield pieces on the arms seemed to pop off a little too easily. We have little ones in our house and we still need to be extra mindful about little loose pieces on the floor.

Got this Halo Mega Construx for my daughter and she loved it. She loves building things with her Legos and these are just like it. With the Halo Mega Construx, she can build vehicles from the game. She can let her imagination run wild and build all kinds of vehicles she can think of.

With 4 characters that comes in the box, she can switched them out as she please. Plus, if she got more of the Mega Construx, she can also add on to what she has already built. These aren’t just for boys! Girls love building things too!.

The Halo megabloks set is incredibly detailed with four figures and two options to build a vehicle or a base. Any Halo fan will be ecstatic. The only issue was that the building was slightly hard at certain steps and I definitely recommend for older builders.

Make sure you snap the pieces on firmly as they will pop off easily if you don’t. But once you get get it all together you have a solid piece that is great for play or display. Would make a great display piece for the Halo collector!.

A few months after I bought a warthog out of childhood fervor I received this set as a gift from my girlfriend (I had taken her to Disneyland so this was her way of making me feel like a kid again) and three hours passed before her and I finished building it.

Sure it was dorky, but we were both laughing at the end of it, and the model itself turned out brilliantly. Rotors turn in Osprey fashion, the gun mounts swivel inwards and out, the cockpit looks pretty edgy, the only problem was the ceiling in the troop bay, it was too low for the men to fit.

This problem can be fixed with a quick exchange of included pieces, but we really didnt mind (it’s not like we were going to sit inside). I would suggest this to someone with either children or a good sense of humor, for me it resides next to the other set I own, and I would imagine the little dudes riding shotgun are quite satisfied :P.

The blocks in this set do not fit together, the blocks re all mismatching colors, there was a silver block in a set of all black blocks. The quality of these “Bloks” is terrible they use the cheapest material on the market.

The directions were horrid I could barely help my child figure them out. Bottom line just buy Legos.

I think these bloks are better than legos. The figures have articulating elbows, ankles and knees and the hips and shoulders use a ball joint. They fit together well and the instructions are easy to follow.

I would definitely recommend this to a friend and thought it was a great value.

It’s much better than expected for the price and going to give many hours of creativity building and adding on to sets already have. Impressed enough got a second set for other child year apart so cousins can enjoy it together.

Nice weapons and figures. So many things to build with the bricks. For example I remade a part of my pelican I had missing with this and still had lots of parts remaining

My 12 yr old was awe struck and in heaven he couldnt believe it and the extra was apparently a huge hit too! This was hands down the best purchase I ever made on EBAY. It may be a collective piece but his imagination while playing with it isnt worth keeping it on a shelf-he loves it.

This is by far one of the coolest toy sets I have ever purchased! It is super fun and unique! It totally matches my personality! Great item, would highly recommend!!

Five out of the twenty Spartans hands broke off so now they cant hold weapons

Solid set, great build, and very cool detail in the chip that inserts in the back. The only downside is that the visor is held in via an illegal construction technique, but it still works just fine. Also, the visor does not look as good as the box makes it look, It is 3 pieces and the center area is not flush with the upper and lower portions.

Great for a decoration piece to have to show friends. Great set though, would definitely recommend for $30, though I got it for $22 because of one of the constant coupons from Target.

A very nice build for collectors of the Mega Construx Halo series. The build has some neat incorporation of parts to make it look very similar to the actual in game design. It also has a “microchip” that is supposed to be removable/insertable into the back of the helmet.

It would have been nice if the set included a Cortana figure so place on the microchip.

We went with a Halo theme for my son’s Christmas gifts this year and this is a perfect addition. I was so happy to find it in my local Target. And it was a very reasonable price.

Rare and unique set that I absolutely love the look of, it was an absolute must for my collection.

My grandson loved his gift. He was very excited to see it when he unwrapped his gift. He and his Grandfather put it together in about one hour.

I got this at a store named Ross for $7 they sell many different things in their store mostly clothes on one of the shelves they had toys and I found this set for only $7 but I’m giving you five stars
